Exciting thing that is happening tomorrow and that is, we are starting our 21-day fast. Come on somebody. So our 21-day fasting is not starvation. Fasting is not trying to squeeze God's arm. Fasting is disconnecting from the world and prayer is connecting to God. So that's why prayer and fasting go together.
One disconnects, the other one connects. Somebody turn to your neighbour, say, "It's time to disconnect." Turn to your other neighbour, say, "It's time to connect." So prayer connects you to God, fasting disconnects you from the world. Fasting is not starvation. Fasting is not trying to manipulate God. Fasting is not trying to just go without food.
It's not a diet. It's not to lose weight. So for those of you who are like, "Yeah, I'm excited for the fast. I'm going to finally lose that weight." It is the worst way to lose weight because you will get that back in great abundance right after that.
So if you want to lose weight, you know, change how you eat and then you know exercise and other things. But fasting could help to reset your system, but it's not the way to lose weight. It is to draw near to God. Amen. So that is what fasting is.
Fasting benefits are seven. Fasting draws you closer to God. Fasting helps you to overcome the flesh. Fasting increases your sensitivity. If we can put the words there for our team in the second sanctuary and online. Fasting increases your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Fasting helps you to develop discipline and focus.
Fasting helps you to hear God clearly. Fasting helps you to resist temptation. And fasting helps to open the door for breakthrough. So, if you need any of these seven things in your life, then you already have your reason to fast. You may say, "Well, so how do I go about it?"
So, there's four types of fasts you can participate in. Technically, it's really one, but we broke it down to make it a little bit easier for 21 days. Number one is the liquid fast. It's when you don't eat food. You only drink water or juice. Now, that's actually what the word fasting is, is to know food.
So, people who say, "I'm fasting chocolate." that technically biblically fasting is abstaining from food. And so the Bible doesn't talk about water or or drinks. And I have a whole video about should you drink coffee or other things. So we just call it liquid fast. Now can somebody do that for 21 days?
Actually a lot of people can do that. Is it recommended for every person to do it for 21 days? It is up to your discretion and you need to seek God's wisdom. The second way that you can do this fast for 21 days and this is maybe some of you can start there is partial fast.
It's from 6 for 6 in the morning till 6:00 in the evening. So you eat only one meal a day for 21 days. Again the purpose isn't the eating not eating. It is to see God. The third way and that is the Daniel's fast. Technically, it's not a fast, but since in our culture, it's being used as a fast, we're just going to go ahead and use the same thing.
And that is you stay away from meats, sweets, dairy, pretty much anything that's good. Anything that tastes good and you eat all the things that are just not taste good. And some of you who love this as part of your diet, God bless you. Pray for me. And the third one is a non-food fast.
Again, it's not a fast, but it's abstaining from things like media and other things, especially for people who are children or people that are maybe pregnant or those of you who are on heavy medication and you just cannot fast food at all. It's could be a sacrifice. And so, next 21 days, our church is entering into a season.
Churches around the world are entering into that season. Christians around the United States are entering into that season. Can I ask you if you're a follower of Christ and you've never done it? May this year be different. Start this year different. You know, if you started your reading plan 3 days ago, the first verse in the Bible said, "In the beginning, God."
In your beginning, put God first. Now, what does that look like? That's between you and the Lord. And what that would look like. So, we have some resources for you as well. Every day we can send you emails about what to pray for, guide you and actually today in the lobby.
This just arrived. We will have a 21 days prayer and fasting. It's just literally prayers and scriptures to meditate for every day. As well as for those of you who are new to this and you're like what is fasting? I have a very short one. The reason why it's the first short one is because a lot of us start with one chapter and we just kind of drop it.
So this helps you to start and finish. And then long time ago, which was 3 years ago, I released a 21 days devotional that is a little bit more in depth about prayer and fasting. All of them are available online for free. You can download them. And if you're one of those that want to get a physical copy, they'll be available after the service today.
All these exist simply to aid you in your pursuit of Jesus. Our goal is to just empower you that every person doesn't feel like I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know how to do it. Because a lot of Christians, they come, they come to church for 20 years.
They're like, "Well, I don't know how to fast. Well, I don't know how to pray." We got you covered. We're here to help you, be led to do that. Amen. With that said, I want to speak to you today about when your time comes. Time in the Bible is not random.
Time is something that God controls. He masters time. He sets seasons, orchestrates timing, and releases our destinies in appointed times. In fact, what's interesting is the Bible says from the beginning in Genesis that God created the moon, the sun, and the seasons to mark time. So, God doesn't just create the normal time that you have on the clock.
God actually has seasons that direct and guide our life. The scripture says in Psalm 31:15, "My times are in your hands." Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, "Everything to everything there is a season and a time for everything under Heaven." Every purpose under heaven. That means that God can give you a calling, a purpose, an assignment.
That alone is not enough. God can give you a prophetic word, a Rhema word. You can have a dream. I'm called to be A, B, or C or D. God says not only there is a purpose from Him, there is a timing for that purpose. And what drives everybody crazy is not that they don't know their purpose.
It's that many of us don't know are the time for that purpose. What frustrates people. And I can tell you this in 20 years of being in the ministry, one of the most challenging things of being in the ministry, is that you are in your purpose, but that purpose has not gotten its time.
First 10 years of me being a youth pastor, I was in my purpose. But the time for that purpose to be accelerated, to reach the world, to touch what God wanted to touch wasn't there. And I'm going to teach you today on how to operate in that, so that, when your time comes and I believe prophetically, this is going to be a year, for someone's time to have come.
God can stretch time. God can compress time and God can restore time. Hezekiah received extra 15 years so God can extend time. The scripture says in Matthew 24 that God can shorten the time of suffering because of those who are elected. We see in Joel 2:25 that the years that the locust have devoured, God can restore the years that were taken.
So, God is in control of time. And maybe you've been waiting for 20 years, waiting for 10 years. This could be the year where God can do something in one month that could have taken you 10 years. You know, I see this in the Bible where the Bible says the hand of the Lord will come upon somebody.
The strengthening of the Holy Spirit will come upon somebody. Sometimes this is what God does. He breathes on your life and everything gets accelerated and sometimes He breathes on you and you become accelerated. Amen. Sometimes God touches your life and everything in your life begins to move faster and it was on stand still.
And sometimes He touches you and you begin to run and outrun horses and chariots. Remember Elijah, when Elijah was running and outrunning the chariot of Ahab, there was a supernatural speed upon Elijah that he was able to run with horses. That's not natural. And I believe in the name of Jesus, may this be the year where the pace of your life is not going to be natural.
Where there's going to be a grace of God attached to you, a grace of God attached to your family. There are many of you in here maybe who were waiting to find your husband or to find your wife. May this be the year where the years of waiting, God is going to bring acceleration in that area.
Perhaps you were in a season of your life waiting for the financial breakthrough. You've been faithful with tithes. You've been faithful in managing your money. But that business idea that you've been carrying has not rose up. May this be the year where God brings acceleration. You know when I look in the Bible I see a constant reference to this where God suddenly suddenly suddenly for example in Acts 2:2 it says, suddenly a sound came from Heaven.
The church was born and it was not just a hundred people, thousands of people joined the church in one Sunday The suddenly of God. You see in Acts 16:26, suddenly there was a great earthquake, prison doors were open. May this be the year of God's suddenly in your life where the prison doors are open, where God breaks through.
The things that you've been waiting for will be changed in Jesus name. Even in Jesus's ministry, you see immediately. Immediately the flow of blood stopped. Not 10 years, not 3 days, not 30 minutes. Immediately the blood flow stopped. Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. This wasn't something I'm going to leave this life behind and I'm going to take next six months to gradually come out of alcoholism.
Immediately God begins to set people free. Immediately the chains of bondage are broken. This is the year where God wants things to happen suddenly and immediately. When the person who battled with alcoholism for 15 years steps to the altar and immediately they leave their nets behind. Immediately they leave that bondage behind and they have no withdrawals, because our God is a God of supernatural, our God is a God of miracles.
Can somebody say Amen? We also see that immediately he rose, took up his bed and walked. The person couldn't walk and then immediately he started to walk not gradually. It was not a therapy and it was not an exercise, it didn't take six or seven months. I do believe in the time where God develops us.
But I also believe that God can supernaturally accelerate time. What I am sharing with you today is not a sermon, that I needed to cook up because something needed to be said. About a month ago, I was on the treadmill running and I do not like running. I believe it's not scriptural to run.
The Bible says, a wicked man runs and nobody chases him. And I am no wicked man. But because king's stomach gets bigger and I do want to grow in many areas of my life and sometimes I end up growing here faster than any other area. Sometimes, I got to run.
And so and as I was running, I usually turn on prayers and just to kind of engage with God. And I felt the Holy Spirit touch me powerfully during that time and I felt he said gave me a word and he said I am releasing acceleration in your life and in your ministry and so I received that this was about November and I've been carrying this word, now I dropped this word to Everett and so it's already online and today I want to share that with you.
I really believe HungryGen is stepping into a season of acceleration. A lot of us in here have been in a delay. A lot of us in here have been in the limbo. And a lot of us in here have been waiting. And I want to share with you something about this acceleration or this, when God changes your time or when God finally brings an appointed time.
If you're taking notes, I want you to write this down. Number one, slow seasons are preparation for sudden breakthroughs. The Bible divides time. There's many words for time, but there's two main ones that many people use, and that is Chronos and Kairos. So, Chronos is the calendar time.
It's the time you have on your watch. It's the time when somebody says, "What is the time?" And you say, "Well, it's right now it's 10:04 a.m." Chronos is consequential time, measure time, and the waiting time. Example, Luke 1:57, it says, "Now Elizabeth's full time, so she has pregnant, full time, 9 months."
That's a normal measure of time, nine months had to be passed, had come for her to be delivered. Now, Kairos is different. Kairos has nothing to do with the clock. Kairos has to do with a divine window of opportunity. Kairos is the right time. It's like a heaven has a window of opportunity.
It's that divine opportunity. For example, it says and saying the time is fulfilled Mark 1:15, the kingdom of God is at hand. For example, in Habakkuk 2:3, it says, for the vision is yet, for an appointed time. So this is not talking about a calendar, this is talking about His calendar where God looks at the calendar you have and then He in His divine wisdom and He in His supernatural realm sets times and seasons.
And a lot of times what is happening is before that time comes everything is on slow motion. Everything feels like a drag. Everything feels like why is this taking? Why is it taking so long? It actually feels a delay. It feels like there is like a stop. My life is stopped and stopped.
But the scripture says for the vision is yet, for an appointed time. Remember how I've read today and that is for every purpose, there is a time, meaning God's vision and God's purpose. Not only is it released, but it also has its time attached to it. God will give you a word.
What God usually doesn't tell you is when it's going to happen. And you and I begin to discern the time and we say, "Well, I think within a year." And that's what gets us in trouble. It's that expectation of when it's supposed to happen that messes with our faith like nothing else.
When the Lord put a promise in my heart, and this was about 10 years ago, that I will have a son, and his name will be Samuel, He didn't tell me when it's going to happen. He just told me that it's going to happen. Now, I'm going to be honest with you.
I expected that it will happen in 9 months. In fact, I asked my wife that day, if she's pregnant cause I said, "God is telling me, what my wife is already carrying." And then, I would go to different churches and I kid you not, most prophetic words I've gotten since that time has been, "God is going to give you a son.
God is going to give you a child." We have a room there where you can calm the child a little bit. Yeah. We have a room that you can calm the child a little bit. Yeah. And just bring him back. Yeah. He's responding way more better to my preaching than anybody else and stuff.
Yeah, we love when children cry. We love the sound of children in the house, but sometimes they need a little bit of less screaming of the pastor to to be soothed. If if my voice soothes your child to sleep, I'm concerned, but usually it wakes children up. And so what the Lord didn't tell me is, when it's going to happen.
I would go to different churches and I remember this one particular church and somebody comes up and they say within one year you will have a child. And I was like, okay, that's amazing. I'm going to be honest with you, I didn't believe it. The reason why is because I, that's the God didn't tell me that.
And somebody came to, well, this is a true prophet of God. They're always right. Only God is always right. Even prophets can miss. And so a year passed, nothing happened. Two years passed, nothing happened. three, not nothing happened. And what I've learned walking with God is when he gives you a vision or purpose, it's 100% true.
The timing is where you will be the most tested and developed. That's right. Because it usually, so this is one thing about God's timing you have to remember, He'll always be on time and always late. You have to know this about God. God is not on time. Always late yet.
He's always on time. Why? He's in a different time zone. So, He gives you vision. He gives you purpose. He gives you a prophetic word. He gives you a dream. It says for a vision is for an appointed time. The thing is, He usually never tells you, when that time is.
He tells you the vision. He tells you the prophetic word. David, you will be a king. It doesn't tell you that it's going to take 10 years. Joseph, brothers are going to bow. You're going to feed the nations. He doesn't tell you it's going to take 17 years.
He does not tell you the time. But He does tell us in His word that He does have a time. He has it. Meaning when He releases a vision, when He releases a promise, when He releases a word, He has an appointed time. He doesn't tell you that.
Why? Because why? How can He develop your trust? How can He develop your character, if He tells you right away what the time is? He doesn't do that. So, we see this in here, for the vision is yet for an appointed time. At the end, it will speak, but it will not lie.
And look what it says. Though it tarries, meaning it's going to be late. Wait for it because surely it will come. And then the contradiction., it will not tarry, I'm confused. I'm a simple man with a simple mind. Though it tarries, wait for it. I get it. God, you'll be late.
Wait for it. It will come. It won't be late. So, is it late or not late? Both. Though it tarries. So, why does this happen? Kairos moment is when God releases you. Chronos moment is when he develops you. Come on. The moment God gives you a vision, the moment God gives you a dream that's from Him, we're not talking about stuff you came up with on your vision board.
We're talking about things that come from God, the prophetic word, you know that you know it's the vision. It's the purpose. It's the calling. It's the assignment. You must understand that just because you got it and you felt the tingling, you fell on the floor, you shook and boo, that does not mean it will right away come to pass.
There is God's appointed time for that. Until that appointed time comes, you're going to be in a weird limbo, where God will develop you. Now, you will feel that you are ready for it the next day. You'll be like, "God, I'm ready." Sometimes it's not you that's not ready.
It's something else that's not ready. It's that your problem, your situation is not ready. The Bible says Israel couldn't enter the promised land because the iniquity of Amorites has not been reached. Sometimes, it's not you. Sometimes, it's them. Sometimes, it's that thing is not ready. But sometimes, it's you.
And sometimes, God in His infinite mystery doesn't tell us who's not ready. In Psalm 102:13, it says, "You will rise and have mercy on Zion, for the time to favor her." Yes, the set time has come. So if there is a time to favor you, there will be also a time where no favor will be shown.
Who likes that? Nobody. Especially when your time to favor is not there and your neighbor's time has come and you look at like that's just not fair. Why am I being passed over all the time? Because your time hasn't come. The time to favor her has come, which means there are times God extends His favor.
There are seasons, there's this Kairos moment in Psalm 105:19, it says until the time, that His word came to pass. Meaning God gave a word to Joseph and then he's like when I'm going to release this word to become real in your life. There's going to be a time that's not a calendar time, that's a Kairos moment.
In some way, shape, and form I don't fully understand all this, but God has His calendar. And on His calendar, He puts things there. And when they are put on God's calendar, then the things He gave you, the vision, the purpose, the call, and the assignment have to match His timing.
In Luke 1:20, it says, "And behold, you will be mute and not speak until the day these things take place because you didn't believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their own time." God has His words that must be fulfilled in their time. Isaiah 60:22. Now, this is amazing.
Look at this verse, Isaiah 60:22, it says this, and the little one shall become a thousand. Can somebody say amen? Let's go. And the small one, a strong nation. Let's go. I, the Lord, watch this, will hasten it in its time. So when the time comes, God accelerates things until that time He slows things down.
I, the Lord will hasten it. Meaning I will accelerate. Watch people's lives that have acceleration. You know why? Their time has come. Until their time comes, everything is Chronos normal. Why? Because the Lord hastens things, when it's the Kairos moment. It's the way he works. 400 years dead silence.
And then comes a moment John the Baptist shows up. Jesus show everything changes. Why? Because in its time, God hastens things. Hastens things. I saw the same thing in my personal ministry. I saw the same thing in our youth group, saw the same thing that happened even right now with the church building and the finance just in the last month and a half.
There are moments where everything feels not only slow, it feels drag, it feels stuck. It feels like everything is being pulled back and you're like, "God, why are you doing this to me? Why is this happening to me? But you gave me a word. But you gave me a vision.
But you gave me a purpose. But please hear me loud and clear", to God's purpose and to God's vision, God assigns an appointed time. God's time is not connected to your weariness of waiting. God doesn't look at your feelings, say, "Oh, you're tired. Let me just speed things up."
Nope. He doesn't speed things up because you're cranky. He doesn't speed things up because you can't take it anymore. He spits things up when He decides it's your time. Your Kairos moment in the name of Jesus. May it come this year. Your Kairos moment. May it come this year.
I remember how it happened with our baby. Year in year out, I said, "Lord, why is this taking so long?" and we kind of surrender it to the Lord. I go to take three days in some cabin by the mountain hood. On the way back, I'm driving, spend some time with the Lord, just praying about ministry, church, our life.
I'm not even thinking about the child situation. On the way back, the presence of God filled the car so powerfully, I still remember that scene. And it I was driving down and I started to feel tangible presence of Jesus in the room. I started to cry uncontrollably and I thought I heard this time next year you will hold, a son.
That moment I knew this wasn't just a prophetic word. God gave me a glimpse, into his calendar. I went quickly to the bookstore and I bought a card to my wife and I said, "Next year we will actually be parents, not just in the spirit realm." Yeah. And that's exactly what happened.
But I wish I would tell you every single time I've seen this in my life, I've seen it wasn't like that. God gives a vision. He gives a prophecy. He gives you a purpose. You carry it. You carry it. You carry it. It feels delayed. It feels on the back burner.
It feels like why is this taking so long? And then it feels not only so long, it feels like dead. But God is developing you. God is growing you or He's preparing them. Now this is the good news. God in your Kairos moment can restore decades of what you were waiting for.
Decades. Decades of what you were waiting for in one moment God can accelerate that. So, don't ever feel like you wasted, You didn't waste anything if you're right in the center of His will. You might not be in his timing yet, but you're in His will. That's all that matters.
So, what what do how do I understand this? One is when God gives me a purpose, He gives me a vision. God has an appointed time and He decides when that time happens. Until that time, everything feels slow. Everything feels on the back burner. And I must not be discouraged.
I must wait for that time. Trust in Him and know that, that time will change everything in my life. The second thing you must understand about this Kairos moment is that when, you enter into God's appointed time, not only there will be an acceleration I said first thing, this meaning things that were slower just things just go fast and this fastness about your life will not feel like it's fast.
It's like sitting in the airplane and your plane is flying really fast yet you don't feel like your hair is being blown 700 miles per hour. You actually feel pretty calm in the airplane. Though the plane is actually flying 500 mph, you don't feel like you are moving 500 miles hour.
When you are in God's time and it accelerates, everybody looks at you and they ask this question. How could you function? They don't understand, you are in the bubble of God's time, where acceleration feels natural, where it looks like to somebody else, man but it's just so much stuff is happening but to the person inside you are in the airplane of God's purpose with it come God's protection so He accelerates things when the time comes.
The second thing is when the time comes He releases destiny helpers what I mean by destiny helpers, it's the people who until it was your time forget you, when it becomes your time, they'll remember you. This is another painful thing because when it's not your time, you tell them to remember you and they have amnesia.
Remember Joseph in jail helps the guy out, says, "Could you remember me?" And what did the Bible say? And he forgot Joseph. When it's not your time, you are like Mordecai. You're saving the king's life and you don't get rewarded. You don't get recognized. You don't get promoted.
But that Haman guy keeps getting promotion after promotion and he now is your boss. So you're frustrated. You're like, "Well, this is not fair. This is not right. Why have I gotten forgotten? Why those people who wrote those things in Chronicles did not tell the king so at least I could, you know, get a a little bit of something.
I mean, I didn't do it for the pay check, but other people are getting it. Why am I being overlooked? Because it's not your Kairos moment. When it is your Kairos moment, everything that was forgotten quickly gets remembered. The king for out of nowhere has a sleepless night.
And guess what the king does? He reviews the very archives where Mordecai helped somebody but was forgotten because Mordecai's Kairos' moment came. And then Haman who was his boss is now bringing Mordecai around the city and say this is the man the king wants to honor. This is the man the king wants to honor.
And then Mordecai goes from being despised about to be executed, to actually being one of the prince in Babylon. When the Kairos moment comes for Joseph, the king Pharaoh has two dreams and the Bible says and that man quickly remembered Joseph. Why? Because when it's your time, those who forgets you that God allows for a reason, will always remember you.
How will this Kairos moment happen? Somebody will open a door for you. Somebody will remember your name. Somebody will look at you different. Somebody will have an impression about you. Some of you single ladies, that young man will be coming to this church for 10 years, not notice you.
When that time comes, he will look at you and he will say, "Oh my god, how have you been able to hide in this church this long?" Your Kairos moment has come. Come on, somebody. Three things about destiny helpers. They come, when it's your time, and they usually leave your life, when it's not.
Don't get mad at them. Don't attack them. Just wait for God's time. The second thing about destiny helpers is this. In order to bring a destiny helper into your life, God first will allow a destiny killer to come and to see if you'll run from them or allow them in your life.
Joseph couldn't get a destiny helper until he ran from destiny killer. Do you know how why Joseph ended up in jail? He ran from a destiny killer. If you don't run from destiny killers in your Chronos time when things are delayed, you can't ask God to send you a destiny helper, if you're dating a destiny killer.
God cannot send you somebody who will tell your name to Pharaoh, if you are sleeping on Delilah's lap. Delilah, is a destiny killer. Potiphar's wife, is a destiny killer. Lot, can be a destiny delayer. Jonah, is the destiny killer. See, some of us in our life, the trouble we have today is because we have a destiny killer in our boat, payroll, within our proximity, within our relationship.
And so, our whole life today is literally a World War III. Not because God sanctioned it, not because demons are attacking you. It's because you have a very high tolerance for destiny killers. And so what do you have to do is you have to love them at a distance.
I am not talking about your mom and dad right now. I'm not talking about, oh yeah, this person kind of drove me crazy. Yes, that they're destiny killers. No, I'm talking about people who are bent on compromise, drag you from church, drag you from Christ, drag you into sexual immorality, cut your hair, cut your vision.
They want to drain you, people that around them, they're always full of drama. They don't carry God's peace. They carry drama. They're always a problem. Always a problem. And sometimes they are the Jonah in your boat. If you want to have peace in your life, throw Jonah overboard.
Some of you, have children living with you and you are the reason God is not able to touch them because you don't let them hit rock bottom. You keep providing the mattress on the bottom and catching them and you think you can save them but in reality you are enabling them.
You need to allow them, if they choose and they're 25 years of age do not want to serve God, do not want to do anything. They cannot be staying under your roof. Well, but they are my child. God can change them if you keep protecting. The father didn't hold the prodigal son back and said, "No, honey.
No, he let him go. Yeah, he knew the son will destroy himself. What kind of love? See, that's the only way the son came back to himself and then became a true servant in the father's house. Oh, but Jonah's going to drown. God has whales for him. I need to give him a life support or what do you call that belt?
Life jacket. God has a life jacket for him. Come on. If you want to have destiny helpers, you will be tested with destiny killers. Let them go, I'm not saying to hate them. I'm not saying make a video about them. I'm not saying to walk around and start labeling who's a destiny killer.
You'll know. Your spouse will know. Say, "Hey, this person should not be." Even David had to walk away from Saul, to protect his life. Though he honored Saul, he knew Saul is a destiny killer. If I stay within this proximity, I'm going to be dead. The sailors knew, if I allow this Jonah, God bless his soul, but he's not right with God right now, and he needs to go to Nineveh.
We are not going to make it to whatever we need to go as long as he stays within this boat. Jonah, bye-bye. Bye-bye, Felicia. We got to let you go. Why? Because this is the season. This is the year where destiny helpers will come. They can't come if you keep protecting destiny killers.
So the first thing about destiny helpers is this. They won't come when it's not your time. Number two, destiny helpers cannot come if you keep harboring destiny killers. And number three, before God brings you a destiny helper, he'll test you if you'll be a destiny helper to somebody else.
Come on. Nobody gets destiny helpers without first being a destiny helper to someone else. Joseph, didn't get a destiny helper until he became a destiny helper by translating the dreams. David, didn't get instructions on where his kidnapped family was, at until he helped one servant who was cast out.
And he didn't know this guy had directions to where his family was. God will test you. Will you help those that cannot help you back? Will you love those that don't they don't seem to have anything back to give to you? Will you open your home and serve other people by opening a life?
Cause like what is this directly connected to the calling that I have for the nations? Only God can connect those things. But God wants to test, are you a selfish person? Is it always about your dreams, your visions, or your goals? Or is it about other people? Is it about your ambition?
Or is it about God's heart for the people that He places within your path? May this be the year, where you become a helper to somebody else. While you're waiting for somebody to open the door for you, help and open the door for the little guy looking at you right now and say, "Could you help me a little bit?
Would you give me an opportunity? Would you help somebody who's looking to you for an opportunity?" Because only God can tell that somebody to open a door of opportunity for you as well. Amen. So, when the Kairos moment comes, God accelerates things, things were slow. Moment of Kairos comes, He hastens it.
How does that happen? He sends usually somebody who for some weird reason not only is nice to you, they actually have the keys to help you in a way that actually make you go further and faster. God uses other people. So does Satan. And there's one more key when your Kairos moment comes is that, you can actually miss it by being chronically pessimistic.
They'd be the downer. Everything's always bad. That kind of attitude because when a Kairos moment comes it doesn't always come as an invitation. Sometimes it comes dressed as a problem. Think of Israel, they're going to the promised land. This was a Kairos moment that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, their parents were waiting for.
God didn't let them get into the promised land for hundreds of years. Now is a moment God opens the curtain. Now, this is what you must understand about Kairos moments, you don't choose them. You don't just flip the script, say, "Yeah, today I'm going to go conquer the promised land."
You don't have that power. God opens a window of opportunity. They go into the promised land. There is a window of opportunity and it's going to come to an end. And they're like, "No, this is way too hard. We thought it's going to be easier." You know, like we thought it's a promise from God.
It's a vision from God. This is just looks a lot more like work and more work and more work and they're whining and complaining and all of that stuff. Then the problem with the whining and complaining is it's very easy to do, is it doesn't take any faith.
All you got to do is pay attention to your feelings, mood, facts, and what people say. Another problem with whining and complaining is it's very infectious. Like a flu, it spreads. You quickly collect and connect with people who are just like you and it spreads like a pandemic.
So 10 people who were infected with this is too hard, this is too difficult, we thought it's going to be easy, really we have to face giants. Oh, and they're whining and complaining, they infect other people. And then God comes in and He is tired of this. He says, "Guys, really, the reason why they addressed as problems, this Kairos moment is because I gave you series of miracles before, that I was hoping during your development time, will build your faith.
So when you see a problem, you're not intimidated by it." That means that God is not expecting you to be reckless about your future. He just gives you so much of His testimonies in your past. And He hopes you, not to have amnesia. He hopes you to remember His faithfulness in Egypt through the Red Sea, feeding you with manna, providing for you so that when you face a Kairos moment that looks like a big problem, you know that God is greater and His previous faithfulness gives you the fuel to step into the difficult, impossible, challenging.
I've never done this before. This is crazy. Way above my education. Way above my experience. Way above my skill set, but God, I know this is You. And God, I'm stepping with you. So God says, I showed you my glory so many times. And what? You are not going to take this opportunity.
God says, you're done. You're not going to enter again. Instead, you're going to stay in the same place for 40 more years. There could be such a thing as a self inflicted delay. If your attitude stinks, your delay is your problem. If your attitude is always you always complaining, always whining, always you're the doubter, always doubting, always finding a problem in every promise, obstacle in every opportunity.
You're one of those people. You have a gift for negativity, everywhere you walk. Literally, God can bring you a million dollars and you would complain about something else. There's always something you're whining about. It's always something about complaining about. When delay is in your life, I wouldn't blame God.
I wouldn't blame the Kairos moment. I would blame your attitude. I would blame the attitude. Why? Because when God came to Zacharias and he was about to talk himself out of his Kairos moment, God zipped his lip and says, "You're about to mess this up. I'm going to shut you up."
Why? Because you're about with your mouth destroy where your feet are walking into. God is opening a window of opportunity and you're, "Oh, how could this happen? We're so old. This is You've been praying for this, fool. You've been asking God for this. You've been dreaming about this and now it's coming like, "Yeah, I don't know, man.
We're kind of old. It's kind of hard. I just don't know about this, but what about this, but what about this?" And Angel's like, "Excuse me? Are you kidding me?" And the is like before you keep talking you might end up with 10 spies ended up why he's like you're about to mess this up.
Yeah. I'm not saying that every word has to be positive when you don't feel positive. But if your default conversation, the dominant thoughts running in your mind is always victim poor little me. I am oppressed. You're a child of God. Your victory is in Christ. You're a new creation.
You got to walk by faith. But I'm wounded. But I'm hurt. I'm church hurt. If that is your disposition, I'm going to tell you something right now. This is a prophetic word. You will ruin your Kairos moment because you're bleeding. Negativity, pessimism. You got to get healed. And you, how do you get healed?
Remember God's previous faithfulness. Don't look at your circumstances. Look at God's previous acts in your life. Focus your mind on what God is doing instead of what He is not doing. Foster gratitude. You will always have reasons to complain. Refuse those reasons. Choose 1 2 3 4 5 7 10 12 1000 reasons to thank God, to be grateful.
Keep the gratitude boiling in your heart. Do not lean into, "Oh, but this happened. Oh, but this." If you allow, if that becomes you, God will open the window and your hurt, your negativity will keep you stuck in the door. God will slam the door in front of you like, this won't happen to me.
Watch this. The next day they realized they missed the moment and they said we will now go possess the promised land and God says I'm not with you and they went and got beaten. You don't control the Kairos moments. You only decide how you respond when they come.
But your preparation will play huge effect when those moments come. That's right. Success, is really preparation that meets opportunity. Success, is years of preparation, years of working on your character. God is working on you, on your attitude. You got hurt, but you forgive. You experience negative setbacks, but you keep still have a spirit of joy, righteousness, and peace.
So, when the Kairos moment comes in, you're like Caleb. You say, "I'm going to take this mountain. Yeah, I got it. Let's go. Let's make it happen." Everybody else is negative. Everybody else, that's not possible. We don't have the money. We don't have the resources. Oh, but what if this?
But what if this? They let their fears lead them and Caleb and Joshua they said no, we are going to take this mountain and because of their negativity they end up staying for 40 more years but in 40 years 40 years of waiting because somebody made a mess, Caleb did not become toxic, Caleb did not become negative, you don't see after 40 years Caleb's like you know mountain, I don't want a mountain, I could settle for a molehill, you don't see Caleb's like, I'm just tired of all this, all these people that slowed me down.
They slowed my destiny. And this is the hardest part. It's when your delay is decided by somebody else's disobedience to God. Most painful. And Caleb doesn't complain and says, "These 10 spies had not been for them. I've been in my promised land 40 years ago." No. Caleb comes to Joshua and says, "I am as strong now, as I was then."
That's good. I'm not a grumpy, complaining, whiny victim. I know, it's not been fair. We should have been here 40 years ago. These knuckleheads, they all died in the desert, but I'm not going to even give him a reference in my story. I am as strong now. I am as prayerful now.
I am as believing now. I know I am old already, but God, I'm strong in God. I'm going to go take the mountain. And Caleb took the mountain. May you be like Caleb. Not like the 10 negative spies. May our church be church full of faith. May our church be a church of can do faith.
God can move. God can do great things. But what if something doesn't happen? We trust God still. We believe in God still. This is a spirit of acceleration. This is the anointing for acceleration. God's time in God's calendar causes God to speed things up whereas before things seem to be delayed.
When God's Kairos moment comes, He tends to connect you to people and put people into you into their heart in some weird way you can't explain. And these people tend to take interest in you and help you. Can't explain it, but it works like that almost all the time.
Then what happens is, when this time comes, you will have to walk through it, by exercising faith. It won't be easy. Meaning, if you're negative, if you're prone to insecurity, if you're prone to jealousy, easily offended, bleeding, victim, oh, everything begins to surface here and it could keep you stuck.
But if you pass through this, you forgive, you trust God in spite, you overcome those things. You see problems as portals into your future. You see problems as giants that you can solve and see great victory. You stop seeing problems as a curse. You see problems as an opportunity to see God's glory.
God doesn't deliver you from battles. He delivers you from bondage. He delivers you into a battle. He delivers you into a mountain for you to take. He delivers you into a Red sea for you to see the miracle of God. Kairos moments are not where you just sipping a cool some refreshing drink and just this Red sea opens and everything comes in.
No, you're going to have to roll up your sleeves and put in some work. And what will drive you is the attitude of faith. I trust in God. I'm not afraid of problems. I'm not afraid of mountains. I'm not afraid of people's opinions. I am not afraid of fear.
I fear God. I trust God. I believe God and His vision for my life will become a reality. Let's go. Church, I've had this message for three weeks. Genesis knows this message was typed on the computer 3 weeks ago. It was supposed to was waiting to release it, but I believe 2026 Lord, may this be a Kairos moment at least.
May I see few people in the front row that are receiving it. Maybe just few more somewhere over there in the second sanctuary. I can't hear you in the second sanctuary or maybe online. In Jesus name, may God accelerate things. May God send you destiny helpers. May Jonah's meet their whales in Jesus name.
And when you see a problem, you don't chicken out and run from the battle. When you see a problem in your marriage, you don't quit on your marriage, but you get marriage counseling. When you face a trouble in your business, you don't quit, drop, or start drinking. No, you trust in God's strategy and you see breakthrough in those problems.
Stop being as just a snowflake easily offended. No, be a soldier. Be strong in the Lord. You can solve problems. You can see breakthrough. Rise to your feet. Amen. One second. One second. One second. The following verses. Luke chapter 19:41 and 42. Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this day, the things that were made for your peace, but now they are hidden from your eyes."
Jerusalem missed their Kairos moment. The greatest missing of Kairos moment is when you miss Jesus. Messiah was standing right in front of them. Miracles were happening daily. Prophecy was fulfilled and salvation was knocking and Jerusalem, ignored it. They think, they had more time. They had plans to get serious, later.
They thought convictions will always return. Christ will always be there. They assume that God will chase them always. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, "For He says, in an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation, I have helped you. Now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation."
Hebrews 3:15, "While it is said, today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the day of rebellion." You don't choose when God speaks. You only choose whether you respond, if He speaks. If your time comes, you cannot hesitate. You cannot negotiate. You cannot delay.
You cannot miss Jesus. Kairos moments that I was talking about, they deal with our destiny and vision. But there are people today, your Kairos moment is actually your salvation. You may think it will always be there. Anytime I want to get saved, I'll get saved. You're like Israelites saying, "Oh, anytime we can we want to conquer the promised land, we will go conquer the promised land."
But the fact that God says now is the time tells you, that not every time is going to be available like that. It's not that God is not ready to forgive. Of course, He is. It's that you might not be in the place, the prompting won't be there.
The conviction won't be there. The opportunity will not be there. And I want to give you that opportunity right now as we are starting this year. This is that Kairos moment to say, yes to Jesus. This is that Kairos moment to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Don't be like Jerusalem, Christ was right there, right in front of them. And you know what they said? No. Jesus wept. Because He says, "You missed the day of your visitation." Meaning, you missed your moment. You missed that Kairos moment. I was right here. I was moving. I opened the door.
All you had to do is repent of your sins, humble your pride, forsake your sin, and run to me. And you chose not to. And He said, "Your house remains desolate." Oh, how I wanted to comfort you like a hen covers her chicks under her wings. Jerusalem, I wanted to do that to you, but you were not willing.
That means you can reject the Kairos moment, sent to you by God to meet His son, Jesus Christ. May it not be you this service. I want to give every opportunity right now, to anyone who needs to get right with Jesus in the beginning of the year. Would you bow your head and close your eyes?
If you are here today and you don't know Jesus as your Lord and as your Savior, when I count to three, I'm going to ask you to raise your hand. If you are here today and you have walked away from Christ Jesus and you would like to be saved today, when I count to three, I'm going to ask you to raise your hand.
This is your Kairos moment. This is that moment of salvation, an opportune time that God wants you to say yes to. One, two, three. Just raise that hand high if you say, "This is me. I got to get right with God." Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Anybody else who's saying, "Hey, this this new year, I'm starting with God.
I'm giving my life to Jesus." In the second sanctuary, just lift that hand high. If you raised your hand or you wanted to raise your hand from both sanctuaries, now I'm going to ask you to do something bold. I'm going to ask you to step out of your seat and come stand here with me.
Come and stand here with me. There's more people coming. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. You can stand here. More people coming. Let's go in our second sanctuary. Ushers, would you help to bring those people? And you can just face me. You don't have to face You don't have to face them.
In our second sanctuary as well, our ushers will bring you here. If you're watching us online, you can drop that in the chat. I want to be saved. I want to give my life to Christ. Hallelujah. Right now. This is that day. This is that time. The time of salvation.
The Kairos moment. Oh, Jerusalem. Jerusalem, how I wanted to gather you. Jesus said. He speaks that to every human being today. I want to gather you. I want to heal you. I want to restore you. I want to wash you with my precious blood. I want to give you brand new life.
I'm going to wait for a few more moments for people walking from the second sanctuary to make their way here. And then we're going to pray. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit. We welcome you today, Lord. I want you guys to stretch your hands like this. This is going to be your way of praying together right now as we receive this precious gift of forgiveness.
Say this with me. Say, "Lord Jesus Christ." I believe you are the son of God. Who died on the cross, For all of my sins. Would you wash me with your blood? Would you cleanse me by your blood? I give you my life. I repent of my sins.
Come and fill me with your Holy Spirit. And from this day forward, I want to follow you, all the days of my life. In Jesus name. Amen.
