The Middle East Conflict, Part 2

Transcript

Welcome to this Hegy Ministries program. This is the second conversation that Pastor Hegy and I are having regarding his most recent book, The Middle East Conflict: The Origin of Jew Hatred. If you missed our first discussion, you can visit jhm.org and come up to some important topics that are covered in our first episode.

For example, the origin of anti-semitism in history, the importance of knowing how that history happened and what you can do to stand against it in our world today. In today's program, I want to begin by asking you, Dad, this question. Why is there such a sudden resurgence of anti-semitism in our world today? >> Evil begets evil.

And the evil of the 107 massacre in Israel caused the world to enter into an anti-semitic feeding frenzy. Our universities are infected with anti-Semitic professors that poison the minds of the next generation to hate the Jewish people. But we also know that the Lord God of Israel will deliver his people from the poison of this evil virus.

When you talk about colleges and universities being infected by anti-semitism, that didn't suddenly happen. It's been occurring for decades. >> It has. >> How? >> It has because uh the college professors uh were anti-semmites and they poisoned the minds of that generation to hate the Jewish people. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was an anti-semite.

Uh he let a boatload of Jewish people be parked just outside the New York Harbor when Jewish rabbis were in the White House begging and pleading for him to let the Jews come to America and he refused them. >> They were refugees. >> They were refugees from Hitler >> in search of safe haven. >> Absolutely. from a nation that was in turmoil of war. >> Absolutely. >> And and in our modern government, how prevalent is this refugee rescue mission in many cases where there's no threat?

And and yet when it was our hour to help individuals who were being massacred, we turned our back. Franklin Delaner Roosevelt turned his back. He sure did. And you know, in many college campuses and universities, there's something known as the Arab chair. And much of the rhetoric that is being indoctrinated into this next generation comes through those chairs.

Who established those chairs and why are they there? >> Well, the Department of Education would establish those chairs. But fundamentally when a nation will come to a university like Harvard and say we will give you $100 million to do X they have bought their way into America's colleges and universities and corrupted the teaching staff and the teaching staff has corrupted the next generation.

So anti-Semitic nations, Islamic nations, hostile towards Israel, they have paid for those educators to be in that environment. >> Absolutely. >> Now we see a lot of their influence in media. They're supporting personalities who are social influencers. They're paying for all types of entertainment so that they can gain favor with the American audience.

When they gain favor with the American audience, their message is not tolerance and world peace. Their message is eliminate Israel. >> Absolutely. >> How can a Bible believing Christian in America and the world today combat such forces? How can they work against institutions as large as universities or entire sections of entertainment and government?

How do they get involved? >> The first thing that American people need to do to get involved is get informed. Uh I assure you if you read this books that I've just written, you will be informed. And then when you get the facts straight, and you won't get the facts straight over secular media, you vote for the politicians who support Israel. volunteer for the campaigns of those political leaders.

The bottom line is that we can't complain about the decisions that are made if we're not willing to try to influence them. It means take action, speak up, defend democracy. What are some of the myths and lies that are being told in the world today that justify such violent action and hatred against Jewish people?

Jewish hatred runs the gambit and is often nonsensical. One group will claim wild conspiracy theories about Jewish control of the media and simultaneously the media demonizes and denigrates the Jewish state. One group will call themselves Christians and claim that Jesus of Nazareth is their savior while denigrating his people, the Jewish people.

Some know their entire existence relies on God keeping his promises. And yet they easily accept the false idea that God broke his promise to the Jewish people for the land of Israel that belongs to the Jewish people forever. That is in the Bible 134 times. Educate yourself on the history of anti-semitism and then speak out against it.

Many of these lies, once truth stands against it, they disintegrate. But as long as truth stays silent, they only get bigger and larger and more powerful. >> Absolutely. >> That's why we're seeing this surge of anti-semitism in our nation at this hour. When we return, the discussion on anti-semitism continues. >> If Jesus didn't rise from the dead, faith would have no meaning and hope would have no future.

But Jesus did rise. And the same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in every believer. Because Jesus lives, you can walk in victory today. With your gift of any amount, you'll receive an encouragement greeting card, eight pack, and a vial of anointing oil, tools to strengthen your prayer life.

And with your gift of $150 or more, you'll also receive two copies of Pastor Hegy's brand new book, From Tomb to Triumph, one to keep and one to share, plus a fruit of the spirit tumbler along with the cards and anointing oil. This leatherbound book contains that power that you need to experience. >> Call the number on screen, use the QR code, or go to jhm.org/victory. >> People who either have the truth and remain silent or don't know the truth and what to say are allowing this to run rampant.

The strategy that that is being used often is false blame. And and it's used by many anti-semitic movements today, and we've seen this over and over in history. Hitler blamed the Jews for the economic problems of Germany. They had nothing to do with it. In the dark ages, the Jews were blamed for the black plague.

They had nothing to do with it. Here in the United States, some of the things that are happening in our nation as the result of weak leadership in past administrations, many people are saying the Jews and the Israeli government are behind it, that we're a puppet for them.

Why are these lies prevalent? And what is the impact of it? Today we have one member of Congress who blamed Jewish space lasers for wildfires and another who claimed that Israel hypnotized the world. On a larger scale, the international media conspired with the International Humanitarian Cartel to create an absolute lie about a food crisis in Gaza on Israel.

That never happened. Tons of food were delivered and were wasted. The impact of their absolute lies is felt by every Jewish person because the consequences of spouting such hatred knows no geographical boundaries. In the years since 107 massacre, the Jewish people have been murdered, raped, burned alive, beaten, taken hostage, and demonized all over the world.

Those horrors are a direct result of the anti-semitic propaganda promoted by fringe Jew haters on the right and the left and propagated by their allies in the media. That must stop. You mentioned something there in in that response that I think is important to pull out. Jew haters on the right and the left.

There are some people who want to immediately align and associate political ideals with spiritual values, which is not true. There are individuals in both the extreme conservative movement and the extreme progressive movement, if that's what you want to label right and left, that are anti-semitic. And it's important to know what the voice of anti-semitism sounds like so that when you hear someone who agrees with you on social issues and might consider themselves to vote the way you would want them to vote to understand that they don't have a pro-Israel, pro-Jewish community position.

Anti-semitism is fostered by a demonic spirit. It's an evil spirit that hates truth. The Jewish people beginning in Genesis the 12th chapter were the people who brought to the nations of the world the revelation of God's truth. The Bible, the the Torah, the first five books of the Bible given by Moses.

But every book in the Bible written by Jewish people, if the Jewish people had not existed, there would be no Bible. There would be no first family of Christianity, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. There would be no prophets. There would be nothing of the things that we cherished. All of those things were given to us by the hand of the Jewish people.

They brought light to the world. The prince of darkness is the devil himself and he hates anything that produces light. Therefore, the Christian community needs to get themselves informed basically from the word of God about God's love for the Jewish people. the abuse the Jewish people have taken from the hands of people who called themselves Christians, specifically in the Crusades that were seven in number, where hundreds of thousands of Jewish people were murdered by people carrying a cross in one hand and a sword in the other hand.

They have endured hell for 2,000 years until Israel became a state. Now they can stand up for themselves and the nations of the world want them to sign a peace treaty with the people who are trying to destroy them. God bless you, Mr. Prime Minister. Fight until you have total victory.

We're with you. The Holocaust, it happened in your lifetime. >> Yes, it did. And it's one of the most welldocumented historical events of anti-semitism certainly in the modern era and throughout the history of the world. >> When we return, more on the Holocaust. >> The hatred we saw on October the 7th toward Israel and the Jewish people was not new.

It was a chilling reminder that anti-semitism never sleeps. In Pastor John Hegy's new book, The Middle East Conflict: The Origin of the Jew Hatred, Pastor Hegy exposes the spiritual and historical roots of anti-semitism and why it's exploding across the globe today. Now is the time to take your stand.

We're seeing how quickly and easily, just a few decades removed, when we talk about the Holocaust, we're we're not even a hundred years away.

And yet so many people want to forget why it happened, how it happened, and the fact that the entire world is partially responsible for the reason it happened. History has proven, as we've seen in recent years, we weren't ignorant. We just turned a blind eye. >> Absolutely. And how does that behavior of forgetting the past, in this case the Holocaust, impact our future?

Your past decisions affect tomorrow. There is a God who sits in heaven who controls all of this universe. And he has made it very clear concerning the Jewish people that they are the apple of his eye. God has said to Moses, "You go look at Pharaoh and tell him Israel is my firstborn son."

That's in your Bible. God loves Israel. He loves the Jewish people. The Bible says he has never withdrawn his love from the Jewish people. Therefore, when your attitude toward the Jewish people is a negative attitude, you are simply out of order concerning the word of God. In your book, The Middle East Crisis, one of the themes that resounds through it is history repeating itself.

And one of the reasons why history repeats itself is the negligence of one generation to educate the next generation. Pharaoh knew not Joseph as it says in Exodus, but he had every opportunity to be informed about the Jewish contribution. Now 80 years removed from the Holocaust, we have an obligation to tell that story to our children and to our grandchildren so that they understand the roots of that anti-semitism.

Do we see history repeating itself through this pattern of ignorance and denial? >> Absolutely. Absolutely. We've seen it in in this war that we're now in Israel. There should be >> October the 7th, 2023. >> Right. We're less than two years away from that event. >> Yes. There is no reason the United States of America shouldn't fully assist Israel with everything that it has until it destroys the enemies of Zion.

We have in turn initially helped. But when they didn't start performing according to the nations of the world by pronouncing uh >> Palestinian state >> Palestinian state the the nations of the world are turning against him. This is uh this is a manipulation of history that should never be allowed to happen.

There is no twostate solution. Not in the Bible. It's not going to happen in the future. That land belongs to the Jewish people. The boundaries of that land are recorded in the scripture. But if you really master what the Bible has to say about what belongs to the Jewish people, it's about 10 times what they have right now.

And someday they're going to have it. One of the challenges that I'm concerned about is the detriment of history repeating itself. Why do people say history repeats itself? I I don't know that it actually does, but we certainly see patterns. What What is the detriment and pattern that could happen in our modern world if we do not turn around this voice of anti-semitism? >> Very simple.

The judgment of God will come to America in spades. God can destroy our economy. He can destroy our nation. He can allow the enemies of of democracy to infiltrate this nation. This nation needs to wake up to the fact that right now we have a leader, that is pro- Israel, that is proBible and is is doing is is doing his best as a leader, and I'm talking about Donald Trump, to do the righteous thing.

But he is two years away from not being the president. And we have a future that is certainly perilous because Russia is promising that she will defend what she wants. She made promises to our president and then in 10 days went out and broke that promise. We as a nation must recognize that our loyalty to Israel depends on God's loyalty to us.

Think about that. Dad, there's young people who are watching. And these young people, maybe they don't have a religious background. They they weren't raised in church. Maybe their parents are not people who believe the Bible. But I see a generation that's rising up that is craving truth. We recently saw this um with the overwhelming support from college campuses across the country in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination.

Young people praying, young people opening their Bibles, young people saying, "I want to stand for truth." To the young people who are watching and they say, "I want to be a part of what's right. I want to stand on the right side of history. What do I do and how do I do it?

What would you say to them? >> You read the Bible and start with Genesis 12. The promises that God made to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob that stand forever. Forever means right now. Recognize that the blessing of God comes to those who love the Jewish people. God has always chosen Israel.

God says Jerusalem is the city of God and it is I have placed my name there. God says that it may be remembered forever. Jerusalem is where David captured it 3,000 years ago and it remains the undivided capital of Israel to this day. They don't need to argue about who was there first.

Go back 3,000 years. And that was before all of the other contestants are trying to say it belongs to them. The Jewish people produced Isaiah and Jeremiah who pinned principles of righteousness in their Bible in your Bible that became the moral compass for Western civilization. David said, "If I forget the old Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its cunning, and let my left hand forget its its ability to function."

David was a musician. If your right hand can't function or can't play and your tongue cleave to the roof of your mouth, you can't sing. A musician who cannot play nor sing has no life. David is saying without Jerusalem life really has no meaning. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

And when Jesus Christ returns to earth, he's not coming to Washington. He's not going to London. He's going to Jerusalem nonstop to establish a kingdom that will last forever and forever. That's where you want to be. To young people, I would encourage you, get involved in your campus.

And you say, "There's not a group on my campus." Well, pastor, you've started Christians United for Israel. And one of the major initiatives of that movement is CUFI on campus. And that goes from campus to campus, university to university. There's several groups throughout the United States that can organize.

We have a time here on our church campus that those young leaders uh get together and understand how to continue to grow that group. And many times the presence of a KUFI on campus immediately begins to push back and silence the resistance of anti-semitism at their school because anti-semitism is darkness.

And standing up for righteousness is shining the light. And when the light begins to shine, darkness begins to run. >> That's right. >> How would you encourage those young people to get involved in that aspect? >> One, contact uh this ministry, contact Christians United for Israel, and they will tell you exactly how to get a Christians United for Israel organization started in your college or university.

It's very very easy. It starts with a half a dozen of you getting together and determining this is what you want. >> Willingness. >> Willingness. And that half a dozen will influence another dozen. And then it grows and it grows. The Bible says, "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, sayeth the Lord."

We're doing exactly that. When you become a part of that, you will you will discover a blessing that comes from God. Supernatural blessing that comes from nowhere because God said, "I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you." That's as true today as the day it was written in the word of God.

When it comes to this issue of anti-semitism, you can choose to allow history to repeat itself or you can be a part of standing up and speaking up. I pray that you decide to stand up for truth because when you do, God is with you. And if God's for you, who can be against you?
