our time of communion our time of the lord's table and so we'll kind of go a little bit through that chorus again now we have double sides this time because last week it took so long and so this pole right here will be the divider all right this big old pole right here where i'm looking at this timer right in front of me everybody on this side of the pole will be on this side for the communion elements and obviously everybody on this side of the pole line up and we'll be on this side for the communion elements we do not pay attention to who is going to partake and who is not that is not between you and the preacher you and your spouse you and anybody else that is between you and almighty god right your only requirements are you have to be saved and you have to be walking with the lord amen you can't be taking uh of communion in the lord's table when you have known rebellion known disobedience practicing sin in your life and so maybe you can use some of the song during these long lines to get right with the lord and ask the lord to help you do a little laundry list a little introspection a little bit of repentance you see giving of the elements and reading of the text is on me what you do with it is on you so whether you partake or not is not up to me that is between you and the lord now as we said last week if you're not right the best thing you could do is not partake don't don't fake it till you make it this ain't no jimmy carter smile deal because you want to please the person beside you because the bible said you'll eat and drink damnation unto yourself this is a holy time this is a godly time this is an ordinance that's been left to the local church baptism in the lord's table they're very very very important but here's also the deal eventually you have to get right because if you are saved and you do want to follow the lord you have to partake in the lord's table at some point in your life so we give you a weekly opportunity to do just that so again everybody on this side of the pole to my left your right this side and everybody on this side of the pole my right your left will be on that side you can line up get both elements carry them back to your seat we'll read the text together at the same time and we will partake so you can begin to disperse that way we have some servants and some folks that would be glad to help you tonight and so again whether you've been here one time or a thousand times doesn't make any difference this is not a members only situation this is a god's children only situation so begin to line up and make us holy people tonight lord you're returning for a spotless bride for a godly bride and so i pray tonight that you'd use the bible to convict us but for all the many many numbers of people that will be watching online right now and later we pray that they would be blessed as well to stir them get glory unto yourself but bless this very special time that we set aside every week to remember all you've done for us in jesus name and all of god's people said the apostle paul said for i have received of the lord jesus that which also i've delivered unto you that the lord jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread and when he had given thanks he break it and said take and eat this is my body which is broken for you this do in remembrance of me ((music playing)) and after the same manner also he took the cup when he had stopped saying this cup is the new testament in my blood this do ye as oft as ye drink it in remembrance of me ((music playing)) for as often as you eat different on wednesday than than what the lord is doing here on the weekends although i'll have to say that everything god's doing on sunday is because of what god's doing in this place on wednesday night because of communion because of our extra special effort of prayer because god says ask and it shall be given you seek and ye shall find knock and it shall be open that's written in the continuous tense and the more we ask seek and knock the more god shows up and shows out now i have to say there was a time that even this crowd right here even half this crowd on a wednesday night would have been a big sunday morning easter crowd years ago when we started i'm telling you it's amazing what god's doing and even on wednesday it's cold ran out of propane and the heaters hadn't got the new heaters in yet but you're here get a blanket it's going to be good amen we'll have a great time just snuggle up to your neighbor but god's doing a great work even on this cold dark night this many people show up for communion show up for prayer time show up for worship show up for giving show up for bible study that's a beautiful beautiful thing i don't know if you noticed or not this past weekend and i know it's not about nickels and noses but i'm telling you i can remember when i'd sit in my car and cry for 30 minutes and wonder if anybody was going to show up at church and this is a big tent i don't know if you noticed or not but on sunday we had standing room only in this tent all along the back i mean people everywhere people say the line for for baptisms was all the way to the other side of the tent it's unbelievable what god is doing here on the weekends and i just i thank god for it i'm humbled i'm i'm blown away i don't want to have to explain it preachers coming from all over america what are y'all doing preaching the bible that's it just preaching the bible just preaching the bible they're like well just can you explain it to us i'm like nope and i don't want to be able to he can do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think or imagine or pray or even talk about i don't want to have to be able to explain it right if we can explain it god's probably not doing it if we can manipulate it god's not doing it i don't want to manipulate i want to get out of the way and let the holy ghost do what the holy ghost wants to do and it's beautiful to watch what god is doing in this place you know the spirit of generosity in our church is absolutely extraordinary listen if i had no other indicative marks that god was blessing our church as far as revival was concerned the awakening that is upon us i'm telling you i would know it's true if i had nothing else but the generosity factor you people are crazy when it comes to giving to the work of god and i'm talking about tens of thousands of people online too ((music playing)) i'll share it again this weekend but you know this past weekend we had our 15 year anniversary and i told you for our 15 year anniversary whole kitten good whole thing give the whole thing away i wanted to have the biggest offering not only we ever had i wanted to have the biggest giveaway offering that we ever had and in order to have the biggest giveaway i wanted to have the biggest offering of any and i mean we've bought a lot of land we paid cash for everything we don't mess with the bank because if we can't pay for it we don't need it amen so all this land these 17 18 acres we've been buying up god just keeps paying for it cabbage on the barrel he just keeps giving it to us you know why because we keep giving and giving and giving and giving and sow it so i told you for our 15-year anniversary we wanted to give the whole thing to the nation of israel we wanted to bless god's children amen wanting to bless radiant israel and their ministry and we wanted to make sure that that a lot of the the debt that they incurred with all the the pandemic nonsense we want to make sure that that was wiped away we wanted to bless them and when i was out of a tree a month ago i said lord for our 15th anniversary i want to give away the biggest offering we've ever given away and we give a lot of money away unapologetically if you want to go to a stingy church you can go to one down the road but don't come to this one because we give and give and give we give more away in a month than we will ever spend on ourselves because that's what god wants us to do that's why god keeps blessing that's why the people keep showing up wednesday or sunday that's why god keeps blessing this past weekend we didn't touch savings we didn't touch the checking account i already had a number in my head and y'all blew it out of the water praise god one service this past sunday we gave the nation of israel 300 000 from this church in one service 300 000 we gave the nation of israel god can't help but bless that church he can't help but bless that 300 000 from this church in-house online man wow unbe stinkin believable what the lord is doing so i don't know what comes next but i promise you god will bless our socks off for that one three hundred thousand dollars and we always we always let you know we're always up front listen we don't we don't we have anything to hide it's all god's money global vision don't own a dime god owns all of it he absolutely does he owns all of it so i want to say thank you to all of us want to say thank you to everybody online give our online crowd a hand for loving us so much and serving the lord so much with us man they they show up it's unbelievable the weekends is crazy i i never would have thought putting up a tent that god would give us the largest live stream of any church on the planet right here 2060 old leather dirt road this little video hillbilly think tank right here and we have more people watch us than you can absolutely imagine it is a daunting responsibility to know how many hundreds of thousands of people watch us on a regular bay it is a beautiful beautiful thing to behold amen and i tell you all time this is not greg locke's platform this is god's platform and we're all guilty by association amen this is us this is god's platform he's using all of us for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of christ god is doing it and it's a beautiful beautiful thing to behold so i can't wait to the weekend i'm looking forward to seeing what the lord's going to do this week and i know he's going to just he's going to blow us away tomorrow's going to be a cool day for me i want you to pray for me you know that i i do a lot of these uh conferences with clay clark and others and uh beaufort you'll love this uh tomorrow i want you to pray at two o'clock i think during the same time san antonio is the same time so two o'clock and five thirty all right two o'clock tomorrow and 5 30. they have record attendance it is it is beyond capacity of standing room only at this point and so at two o'clock tomorrow and 5 30 tomorrow for the first time ever i'm really looking forward to it i'm going to be preaching at john hagee's church tomorrow two services packed to capacity in san antonio texas for the reawaken america conference and so man that's going to be beautiful so i'm looking forward to that and then i'll be back early early friday morning and right back in the saddle again for this weekend and uh saturday we have the event in hearthstone i think bryson's here bryson gray right here ladies and gentlemen in the house stand up bryson set up said this guy is hit man he is a jesus loving wrapping machine right here right here knocked all of them off the billboard charts i'm telling you knock them all off all you got to do is lift up the lord and uh he'll give you a platform amen and we love bryson thank god for him i'll be with him this weekend and look forward to that well let's go into some prayer amen we want to just watch the lord move before we have our final song tonight many of you know that every single week hundreds of people from all over the world on facebook send us their prayer requests and we divvy them up and we pray over them because we want folks to know that not just in this service but then they get disseminated to our prayer team and throughout the week your requests are prayed for by name out loud at the throne of the lord over and over and over again so here's what we always do on wednesday night if you need prayer tonight if you want somebody to lay hands on you to encourage you to look you in the eyes and let you know it's going to be okay if you walked in with a burden it's on you if you walk out with the same one because we have some people here tonight that will pray with you and pray for you and pray over you so let's have some of our guys and gals on our prayer team just come up to my right your left and you'd be ready in the ranks to pray over people tonight if you just want to come and pray by yourself that's fine but if you would like to stand and come in line from either side my wife and my daughter are here and we're going to pass out these prayer requests and i want you just to kneel all up in pray on wednesday amen and we get a hold of the lord it's part of our worship part of our giving and so you just lay out all over this floor if you need one in your seat then we'll make sure one of our ushers gets you a prayer request card but we are always faithful to pray for these requests because people entrust our church all over the world to do that and we're going to keep our word and make sure that we pray for them the way that we told them so you come tonight you get you a handful of prayer requests when you get done with them you can just hold them up somebody will grab them or of christ to remember what you've done for us lord if you never do anything else for us ever again you have already done enough we thank you for the sacrifice of your son the remission of our sins that your word says our sin has been cast as far as the east is to the west into the sea of forgetfulness so many times father we come to you and we ask forgiveness for the same thing over and over and over again but lord you forgave us the first time that we asked you forgave us the first time that we repented and turned away the enemy loves to have us carry around guilt and shame ((music playing)) but lord you restore us to wholeness you remind us that we are seated up high in heavenly places with you that we are worthy that we are blameless and holy before you because of your son ((music playing)) lord we know that you are returning for a spotless spread so lord tonight as your word goes forth would you convict us and change us and wash us cleanse us of who we are less of us and more of you lord would you compel us to go out into the highways and hedges to sing of your goodness to teach of who you are we can look around and we know that we are looking out at a lost and dying world lawlessness has fallen in the streets there is wickedness everywhere and lord it is a beautiful sight to behold your church your bride your body rising up in such a time as this and taking back what the enemy is stolen from us standing on the authority of your word and tonight lord we will do just that stand on the authority of your word and who you are knowing that no weapon formed against us shall prosper if god be for us who can be against us greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world lord we thank you that we are more than conquerors through him who loved us that victory belongs to you that the battle is yours that you have went out before us god you have already claimed territory in your name for your children and lord that you are sending us forth into the harvest lord would we be a church that would reap the harvest in this time the harvest is truly plentiful i often times wondered why it was that the harvest was plentiful and the laborers were few and lord as we look out today we see so many people that have fallen into traps of the enemy they've sat out their traps and we've fallen into them lord we stumble over every stumbling block in our way lord tonight would you plant us on a firm foundation of who you are christ the chief cornerstone the solid foundation on which we stand with a faith that cannot be shaken looking unto jesus the author and finisher of our faith considering him considering him who counted it joy to see the cross set before him lord would we count it all joy in this time would we know that even when everything doesn't look good ((music playing)) that you are the god that brings beauty from ashes you take what the enemy means for evil and you turn it for good ((music playing)) lord tonight we sing of your goodness and we praise you and we give you honor and glory because you are worthy of it all the name above all names holy holy holy is the lord god of hosts the whole earth is full of his glory and ((music playing)) hallelujah amen you may be seated tonight our students can be dismissed at this time for their bible study time with brother jesse so all of our young people sixth grade up through the 12th grade they can be dismissed whole bunches of them going out there and they'll be going down to their building here and while they're finding their place outside the tent you find your place under the tent in luke chapter four we're going to pick up exactly where we left off this past sunday morning and our message that we had and what a beautiful beautiful time it was to watch the lord work so mightily and stir so many hearts but there's still a few things in the text that i wasn't able to get to for time's sake and so we're just going to narrate right on through it and expositionally word by word line by line preach and teach down through just a few of these verses tonight in our hearing and i trust the lord will use it in a mighty way thank you so much for being here and i know it's a little chilly outside it's been a beautiful service already i'll not keep you a long time tonight just want to share some things from god's word and then send you on your way let's pray father tonight i ask that you would fill me with the power and the wisdom and the passion and the discernment of the holy spirit well i thank you for the word of god i thank you that it is powerful all by itself it doesn't have to have my narration doesn't need my jokes doesn't need my talent nothing the word of god is all powerful by itself and we rest in its authority tonight so i pray on this wednesday night as we study the word of god for a few moments that you would open our hearts we pray with the psalmist open thou mine eyes that i may behold the wonders of thy law so lord tonight keep distractions to a minimal move in this tent keep us warm lord but i pray more than that that you would warm our hearts and we would say with the disciples of old did not our hearts burn within us when he spake the word of god unto us so i pray lord in house and online you would captivate our hearts you'd get glory and honor for all that is said in these moments that we have together in jesus name and all of god's people said i want to pick up our reading if i could in verse number 32 it's where we ended this weekend and of course we talked about luke chapter 4 and verse number 18 being the fulfillment of my life passage isaiah 61 and verse 1 where jesus walks into the temple he picks up a scroll copy of the word of god and says the spirit of the lord god is upon me because the lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings into the meat he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound what a beautiful passage it was when jesus spoke it and what a beautiful passage it is tonight when we hear it in this tent so then you know that jesus walked over he sat down every eye in the entire complex of the synagogue was fastened upon him he then stood to his feet and made a declaration that shook them to the core of who they were he said this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears and i want you to understand something ladies and gentlemen jesus did for us what we could not do for ourselves he did not come to abolish the law he came to fulfill the law because the law wasn't given for you to keep the law was given to condemn you to show you without jesus you couldn't keep it it's all on jesus all on him so he fulfills this passage and the people then try to take him to the edge of town throw him over a cliff the bible says as we saw this past sunday and yet the bible says that jesus conveyed himself through the crowd pick up verse number 32 and they were astonished at his doctrine notice they weren't astonished at his storytelling ability he was a great storyteller jesus could give a parable like no one else they weren't astonished at his jokes there were times that no doubt jesus was humorous i find as a communicator that if i can make you laugh on the front end i can stick you later on and you don't even recognize it but jesus did not come to just be a good communicator they weren't astonished because he had a charismatic personality they were astonished at his doctrine now we could stop and encircle that since it's wednesday night bible study and talked for a long time about the fact that one of the great problems other than being cowards in the church in the united states of america or many of the churches that are open are preaching anything and everything but the doctrine of the word of god and we have got to get back the bible doesn't say preach about the bible he says preach the word be instant in season out of season reprove rebuke exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but will heap to themselves teachers having itching ears and shall turn their hearts away from the truth and shall be turned into fables and i'm telling you we are there tonight can i get a witness people do not want the truth of the word of god they want some man be paying be limp-wristed individual to get up sit on the stool and say now ladies and gentlemen every day is a friday and you can live any way that you jolly will please and if god calls an abomination that's no big deal you don't have to go to church you don't have to read the bible you don't have to be faithful just walk an hour sign a card pray a prayer live any way you jolly well please and if you think that's in the bible you've been reading the marvel comic book you've not been reading the word of god doctrine is what grows a church doctrine is what grows a marriage doctrine is how you raise your kids it does matter what you believe listen i'm all for love but at the end of the day i'm not for love at the expense of doctrine everybody wants to yoke up and say here we are brother brother why are we here all hugging each other it doesn't matter what you believe you can believe jesus is a way to heaven or you can believe jesus is the way to heaven you can believe all of these nonsensical doctrines because at the end of the day all roads lead to heaven no they do not jesus is the one and only way to the kingdom of god and if you trust anything but jesus to get you to heaven then you ain't going it's that simple churches have got to get back to the doctrine of the word of god which by the way on a cold wednesday night in middle tennessee you are proof in the pudding that people are hungry for the bible not anymore nonsense people are sick of nonsense you know cnn said well you know y'all y'all profited because of covet i said no we profited because of courage because people want a man of god to be the man of god and stand up and say this is what the bible says nobody cares what greg locke has to say nobody cares this is what the baptist say this is what the church of god says this is what the pentecostals thus saith the lord none of the prophets ever said thus saith elijah thus saith amos thus saith habakkuk they said thus saith the lord and if you want a church that is on fire for jesus it'll be a church that is in the context of doctrine and they preach the bible even when it's difficult to hear so all of that in the same verse we left off in sunday praise god but nonetheless it says they were astonished at his doctrine for his word was with power so the question then becomes what gave the word the power the doctrine the doctrine is what enforced the word because the word is doctrine the word doctrine means teaching you take away doctrine you have no teaching you have cotton candy unicorns and skittles and you feed people all of that for a while when you try to give them a t-bone steak it messes up their gag reflex you know there's a lot of people that say well you know i'd like to go to global vision but i mean you know they've been petting unicorns so long and eating skittles then we open up the bible they're like after a couple of weeks it'll settle in on you you'll be all right we'll give you a fork and a steak knife and you can kind of get into it but we're going to preach the bible around here right we're going to tell you what the bible says because what greg says doesn't matter what god says is what matters okay and so notice this his word was with power check this verse 33 and in the synagogue remember that's where he was that's where he was reading the bible that's where these people got so mad and in the synagogue there was a man which had a spirit of an unclean devil and he cried out with a loud voice now there's a couple things here we've got to encircle and we've got to pay attention to i find it interesting that a demonically possessed man was drawn to religion jesus wasn't preaching in a beer joint in a strip club he was in a synagogue and a man with a devil that manifested itself came to church came to the synagogue it's almost like when jesus in mark chapter five remember he got out of that rickety raft and the bible says there met him a man out of the tombs with an unclean spirit and no man could bind him no not with chains because he'd been often bound with fetters and chains and the chains were plucked asunder and the fetters were broken in pieces and always night and day he was in the mountains and in the tombs crying and cutting himself with stones but when he saw jesus afar off he ran and worshiped him nobody had to say hey extra extra read all about it jesus is here he knew he was there because even people under the influence of the devil wants some release and recognize truth when he saw it and this guy beeped up down to the synagogue and he's thinking to himself i know i'm under the influence of this devil i know this demon's got me but i need some help i need some deliverance and a lot of what we call somebody needing counsel they just need deliverance now they just need some holy spirit deliverance well you just you know you you need a 12-step program you need a one-step program jesus is it that's what you need you need deliverance in the name of god anyhow i digress but this guy showed up at a church service showed up at a religious meeting you know we think we're we're safe and free from all that in the tent surely no demonic influences show up are you kidding me that's why we better claim greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world if god be for us who can be against us no weapon formed against you shall prosper and every lying tongue that rises up god will snatch it out of its throat you know why because devils want to stop what god's doing in this place ((applause)) we've called it out flat from this platform but man we've had full-blown witches show up at this church but let me tell you something and your little dog too you little hexes and vexes ain't gonna work up in this house because the blood of jesus christ is still powerful the name of jesus christ is still powerful you can hop on your broom and you can ride on down the road because i'm here to tell you jesus is bigger than your witchcraft bigger than your witchcraft oh we've had devil worshipers show up we've had satanists show up we've had the masonic lodge which is the same thing as devil worship show up try to stop us try to tell us we crazy but at the end of the day you better know devils love religious circles they love religious circles you know you wouldn't know this if you weren't right there when it happened and i'm going to be extraordinarily careful how i frame what i'm about to say because i don't want to put anybody in a bad light because we have so many tens of thousands of people that watch us on the live stream but you know that we baptize a lot of people a lot of converts it's been beautiful okay 18 months we've baptized almost 2 500 converts in this place that is a beautiful to god be the glory moment now this past weekend i'm telling you without question without fail during a baptismal celebration we saw a demon manifest ((applause)) now i know a lot of people try to get to their car because it's at the end and we have 40 baptisms every week and they're like oh my goodness i got to get down the road look you will still get to the chinese buffet before the methodists do it'll be all right you would do well to stick around and watch some of them baptismal celebrations i promise you if it was you your kids or your grandkids you'd want to stick around and watch them get dipped in the name of the lord right so let me just shepherd you and just say in a half-hearted rebuke you ought to stick around for the baptismal celebrations and not just run out because look the place is so crowded on sunday you can't leave no how till everybody else does that's the beautiful thing about our kind of church no matter how mad the preaching makes you you are stuck until i am done on sundays you can't go nowhere your car can't even get out of parking lot anyhow back to this i've never seen so much hissing i mean literal listen hands all gnarled up curled up it took me so long i didn't know what to expect and so it kind of took me off guard and then when we tried to get to them afterwards i thought my goodness they don't need baptism they need deliverance but they got out of here but i'm telling you right there at the ((music playing)) i was like what listen that's wild for a dude that came out of the baptists right man you don't talk about demonism okay the only demons i ever saw manifest and a baptist church was in a deacon's meeting that was it praise god them demon deacons but i'm telling you there's something about an atmosphere like we have that the devil can't turn his head away like a bad car wreck so you better know there's still power in the name of the lord jesus christ so don't let that stuff freak you out don't get scared we ain't talking about no exorcism we talk about no movie this ain't hollywood this holy word this stuff happens if you don't think people are under demonic influence you are not paying attention what is happening in the united states right now this is a delusion this is demonic if it ever has been demonic we mentioned that a little bit this past weekend but the bible says that this guy comes to the synagogue and watch what he does he has this unclean devil and he cried out with a loud voice you see one of the things the devil loves to do is distract people from the truth notice he had to he had to make a scene he cried out it had to be about him right now what he cried out is superbly interesting in the text and so we're not going to skip it it's important but i find it interesting that there was this spirit of divisiveness there was this outburst of a spirit there was this spirit of it's going to be my way or the highway i'm going to take my tonka toys and go somewhere and he shouted out why because the devil always wants to distract you from the truth because the devil doesn't care what you believe as long as it's not the truth second corinthians 4 4 and whom the god that's little g in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the glorious gospel of christ who is the image of god should shine unto them the devil's chief tactic is to keep you from believing the truth no matter what you believe he doesn't care as long as it's not the truth because the truth will make you free the truth doesn't just set you free the verse says the truth makes you free entirely and the devil wants you in bondage not in liberty and freedom and so this devil cries out this outburst watch this verse 34 saying let us alone i find it interesting he's called devil that's one but then he talks in plural and says let us let us alone what have we to do with thee thou jesus of nazareth art thou come to destroy us remember there's another occasion when jesus messed with somebody that was possessed with the devil and the demons asked the same thing but they said this are you come to the source before the time you know revelation 12 12 says woe to the inhabiters of the earth for the devil hath come down unto you having great wrath knowing everybody say knowing knowing that he half but a short time you know why the devil's ticked off because he knows he's going to hell he knows the jig is up he read the back of the book just like we did and so they said look have you come to torment us because they know they're going to be tormented they know they're going to have eternal torment away from god they know that that's the facts and so they're like hey are you are you here to torment us is this judgment day watch this i know thee who thou art the holy one of god notice that's capital holy capital one capital god okay it's pretty bad when demons speak more truth than most pastors in pulpits ((applause)) the devils believe in tremble and no devil's ever repented and believed the gospel mark 1 15. and the devil said oh i know you you the holy one of god a devil said that and the devil was right when he said it but check this out verse 35 and jesus rebuked him then read that again jesus rebuked him rebuked him i know i know in these days people like well you know you should just hold his hand and stroke his ego a little bit tell him it's all good in the making let him know that if you you know if you offended him you apologize and he can go sit in the green room and you know you can give him a stuffed animal make him feel better about himself but god forbid you actually you know like step on his toes people said i'll tell preacher you stepped on my toes i said well i missed because i was aiming at your heart i wasn't aiming at your toes huh ((applause)) jesus didn't coddle this man he didn't coddle the demon he rebuked him rebuked him now look i i like the king james i like the way it's written it's it's got a good feel to it i like them these and vows right they rhyme good when you're rapping right i like them these and that house but it says jesus rebuked that's stern nobody wants to be rebuked nobody likes that our kids don't like it right but we don't like if a boss or somebody has to reprimand us we don't like to be rebuked but the bible says when we preach the word we reprove and rebuke with all long suffering and doctrine but you know what jesus did he rebuked the devil now i get it it's red letters okay jesus is rebuking the devil in his own name but that doesn't minimize and take away from the fact that we rebuke the devil in his name it still read letters for us devils still shake and quake and tremble at the name of jesus but they still do and so he rebuked him now keep that phrase in your mind we're going to see it again here in just a moment and here's what he said hold thy peace and come out of him that's it no song and a dance no big deal no no hold you peace keep your mouth shut and come out and when the devil had thrown him in the midst he came out of him and heard him not i find it interesting he could have said and the devil came out and heard him not no no it says and the devil threw him in the midst and then came out why because even the devil had to throw a temper tantrum because he wanted to stay around and jesus like get out he's like ah what had a good foothold on this one and jesus said keep your mouth shut and come out he's like ah he just fell on the ground through a temper tantrum and then he came out and didn't hurt him watch this verse 36 and they were all amazed and they spake among themselves saying what a word is this i like that i like that exclamation point what a word is this look if you could have somehow when you read the bible like overture music this would be some exciting stuff wouldn't it it'd be like this and and he did not hurt him and they were all amazed and they said what word is this ((music playing)) twilight zone stuff tails from the crib type stuff right be some weirdness going on but it was pretty weird it's pretty weird jesus said keep your mouth shut and come out he came out after he pitched a little bit of a fit anybody said what a message what a word is this what in the world have we walked into in the synagogue they didn't see stuff like that at the synagogue it's like a lot of people if it happened in church these days you don't see stuff like that in church i know you get the smokes the screens the skinny jeans and all that but you don't see a bunch of demonic possession being loosed in the name of jesus you see that you're like what but i'm gonna tell you something i know danny hates when i say this i'm not a prophet or a son of a prophet but let me say this i'm telling you right now in these days you're gonna see more of it you're gonna see more of it demonic influence is unbelievably on the rise like we have never imagined i told you sunday without apology i'll tell you again that is exactly what happened at the travis scott concert i'm telling you this brother right here he's been in a lot of concerts with a lot of people this was a full-blown satanic ritual 100 folks i'm telling you wake up pay attention to what's happening in this nation it is under demonic delusion and i rebuke it just like jesus gave us authority to rebuke it remember last week he said these signs shall follow them that believe devil shall be cast out in the name of jesus don't let that stuff freak you out it's in the bible and if it's in the bible i'm for it and so they said man what a word is this for with authority and power not with timidity and shyness not with apologies in his voice no with authority and power he commanded the unclean spirits and they came out you see it's all in the way that you deal with stuff right how you perceive something is how you receive something if you have a bad perception you'll have a bad reception if somebody already told you something bad about somebody on facebook then when you meet them you automatically think something bad right the same thing can be true about the power and authority that we have if you approach a situation with shyness and timidity then you're not going to get the desired result but if you walk in throw your shoulders back say in the name of jesus christ of nazareth by the power of the blood of jesus i rebuke you i'm telling you there's authority in that ((applause)) there's authority in that i got a message today and said hey pastor they just sent out their second round of uh investigation subpoenas for nancy pelosi's whatever watch terror hit list that i'm on and somebody said uh are you okay did did you get your subpoena yet i said nope but i hope i do you hear me i hope i do i can't wait to sit up in the halls of justice ((music playing)) stand up to my feet and in the name of jesus rebuke that jezebel demon baby killing pedophile in the name of jesus christ on national tv don't you think i won't do it yes i will ((applause)) i rebuke them all in the name of jesus ain't a bit scared so fbi i hope i get my subpoena soon i've been waiting what would we like to say you got the wrong one rebuke you in the name of jesus christ so i kind of hope me and nancy get the talk ((applause)) the days of community are over they've shut down 95 of the churches and you want to play kindness well you know we we got to be careful yeah i got to be careful i surround myself with cowards what i got to be careful do he rebuked that devil and by the way the thing that startled the people was not that he was all meek and mild and tender no no no the fact that he had authority he commanded them and that joker came out so watch what happens because of it verse 37 and the fame of him that's jesus the fame of him went into every place of the country round about by the way right there is the goal make jesus famous that's the goal every sermon we preach every song we sing every prayer we pray every offering we take every communion celebration every baptism celebrate everything we do so make jesus famous that's what it's about every service every show make jesus famous that's what it's about it's not about us being famous it's not about blue check marks it's not about our big platform but since god gave us one let's use it to make jesus famous make him famous so because of his authority because of his doctrine because of his power to rebuke his fame went out to every place around the country but then watch this we could stop there but i'm gonna read just a little bit and we're gonna quit he arose out of the synagogue after that debacle happened and he entered into simon's house this is peter and simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever and they besought him for fear can i just say something historically to help you out you do realize that peter had a mother-in-law right which somebody needs to tell the catholic church that means he was married so he couldn't be the first pope are you tracking with me ((music playing)) if this man was the only person in history to have no wife but have a mother-in-law no wonder he went crazy for a little while in the gospels huh this guy had a mother-in-law and she was sick so watch this and simon's wife mother was taken with a great fever and they besought him for her so he leaves the synagogue getting you know people demonically possessed healed now he goes into this house now watch this this for this cool verse 39 he stood over her and what rebuked the fever he goes to church and rebukes a devil he walks into somebody's kitchen and rebukes the flu he rebuked the fever i'm not going to try to get all politicized but i'm just telling you there was a time we invited sick people to church ((applause)) and now we're like well you know you got 14 days you better stay up in the house we can't help you and when you do show up make sure you stay at the back of the tent don't get too close let's do a little elbow bump give me a little fist bump in the name of god give me a big old hug praise god the bible said he rebuked the fever all right so i'm going to get political i'm just telling you either believe in healing or you don't and if you don't get the wrong place reading the wrong bible if you're reading one at all he rebuked the fever so he rebukes the devil it works he rebuked the fever and it left her what yeah and it left her you know time is it we good i got friends here tonight i need to be good amen he's more bold than i am but nonetheless so the guy that just was the president of the southern baptist convention he's not anymore but he was his name is j.d greer pastor summit church south carolina like the mega church of all mega churches right they got campuses everywhere and i'm glad for everybody that i've ever reached you say well why are you naming names what jesus did so what's cool right i'm gonna hide i'm not the coward in the equation so it doesn't matter and so they make this statement that in order to come to their church now you have to you have to prove and show a a negative covid test to come to church i don't know what's happened to the body of christ right they went crazy when we put up a sign that said we're a mass free campus ah gregor's go kill everybody ain't nobody said nothing about that big old church in atlanta that says you got to have a vaccination card to even stand on the parking lot nobody said anything about that but greg lock's killing everybody the bible says he rebuked the fever and it left so one of two things is true either the fever is bigger than the power of jesus or jesus is bigger than the power of the fever and you better figure out which side you're on in the united states of america these days because we got a spirit of fear when we should have a spirit of faith ((applause)) so i don't care i'm gonna call all these compromisers out by name every last one of them i don't need their money i don't need their meetings i do not care i don't i ain't having coffee with them i ain't messing with them i ain't messing with them well you know brother locke when you come to our church you you've got to have one of them little things put on your forehead to take your temperature if your church has to take temperatures i already know what the temperature is it's luke warm ((applause)) lukewarm and i've lost meetings over that right people want me to come preach and well you know would you mind wearing a mask yeah i would actually yeah i would actually but anyhow i'm getting hungry so i got to roll with it i got so much i can say i'm just having a good time that i'm trying to get through this text he rebuked the fever and left her and immediately say immediately immediately she arose and ministered unto them hmm but watch this jesus ain't done rebuking yet verse 40. now when the sun was setting all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him why because they just heard what happened and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them he didn't lay his hands on four or five of them he laid his hands on every one of them and guess what was beautiful not one time did he spin around and say hey you can get the whole deal for 29.95 here's my credit card machine i don't know he healed him for free didn't charge them laid hands on all of them healed them verse 41. and devils also came out of many devils came out of many crying out and saying thou art christ the son of god and he here it is rebuking them one chapter jesus on a rebuke fest rebuked devils rebuke fever rebukes the more devils rebuke rebuke rebuke way brother like you ought to preach more like jesus okay ((applause)) 10 30 this weekend i can't wait gonna be good rebuking them he suffered them not to speak whoa something happened me in that mountain praise god ((applause)) ((music playing)) for they knew that he was christ the devils knew that the devils knew that he was christ and when it was day he departed and went into a desert place and the people sought him and they came unto him and they stayed him that he should not depart from they're like look you've got to stick around for weeks for months for years stay there the need is great verse 43 he said to them i must preach the kingdom of god to other cities also for therefore am i sent you know i love that phrase therefore am i sent you know what that phrase means therefore am i sent i used to struggle with the the phrase apostolic what the word apostle means it means sent one that's right you know hebrews chapter 3 says about jesus he was the apostle he was the sent one from god with an apostolic anointing upon his shoulders and the government shall be upon his shoulders the bible says this sent one he said i am sent for that reason verse 44 we pray and he preached in the synagogues of galilee that's one thing i love about jesus everybody went through the same thing he was consistent just preached preached in people's houses preached in the synagogue he preached whenever getting ready to throw him off a cliff he preached in the in the markets he he preached everywhere he just preached he just preached he just preached he just preached because the son of man came to seek to say that which was lost luke 19 10. he didn't come for the fame it just happened he didn't come for the miracles it just happened because the miracles brought validation to the message because as we saw last week the bible says they went everywhere preaching the word and it was confirmed with miracle signs and wonders and we're so afraid of that these days let me just put it on me i've been so afraid of that for so many years oh don't talk about miracle signs and wonders this is church you just stick to preaching the bible well here's what i found out if you stick to preaching the bible things happen when you actually preach the bible people get saved and there's miracles signs and wonders right just happens so in one chapter jesus went on this like huge rebuking fest because there's still power in the name of jesus there's still power in the name of jesus for whatever you need tonight there's salvation power there's healing power there's demonic possession power there's deliverance from from bondage from addiction from depression from stress from anxiety there's just deliverance in the name of jesus and sometimes i read the bible and and i'm i'm honest with you about this because i always try to tell you because i'm growing i'm learning we're just all like catching up together sometimes i read the bible i read the bible a lot but sometimes while i'm reading the bible you like that sometimes while i'm studying the bible i ask myself honest to goodness this question i'll take like an extra sip of coffee so i can think from it and i'm like how in the world have i read this this many times and missed it because for my whole adult spiritual walk with christ life here's what i did and we're going to pray i let people talk me out of what god had clearly already talked me into don't let people talk you out of the power of the word of god if you believe that shout amen in his house tonight father we thank you in jesus name for bible study we thank you for prayer for giving for worship for this opportunity just to be under this tent on this chilly night it's beautiful i love the resilience and the excitement of our church the atmosphere of our church sunday or wednesday doesn't matter lord i just love the fact that people are hungry for the book and so help us to be faithful to devour the book dissect the book divide the book lord you said that we are to rightly divide the word of truth and if we're supposed to write the divide that means there's some people out there wrongly dividing it and so i pray that you'd help us to stay true and faithful to the word of god in jesus name and all god's people said all right church thanks for being here we'll see you this weekend 10 30 it's going to be great come
