has ever heard he is not here he he's is ((applause)) ladies and gentlemen i believe that there's more proof that jesus christ rose from the dead than almost any other fact in roman history i don't believe there's effect in ancient history today so well rooted as the resurrection of jesus christ but even if there was no proof no historical proof no scientific fruit and there is i would still believe it because i believe this book is god's inspired word and the whole early church went up and down the country preaching the resurrection of jesus christ that was the thing that shook the roman empire that a man had risen from the dead that he was alive that death could not hold him ((music playing)) christ is alive he's a living savior ((applause)) good morning church he is reserved he is house we're here to worship the king of kings and the lord of lords we're fighting from a victory that's already been secured because there's power in the blood hallelujah i said there's power in the blood devils still sleep at the name of jesus restoration is still there in the name of jesus we can still see salvation baptisms miracles signs and wonders if you believe he's alive shout amen this morning in this house shout hallelujah yes to god be the glory you may be seated all over the house thank you for being here god is good we never know what to expect week to week to week to week but we always know the lord's going to show up and show out and do some things in this house and we thank you so much for being here to celebrate resurrection weekend uh the other night friday night we were on newsmax and it's not every day that you know the main media lets you preach the gospel amen most the time we're on newsmax for fox they want to talk about stolen elections and fraudulent biden and all that and january the 6th and all the political things we've been involved in they called the other day and they said would you be interested in doing a uh a section on hope for good friday i'm like you called the right number there's no doubt about that we're gonna give the world some hope amen and so we was able to talk about the gospel of jesus christ because i don't serve a dead jew in a palestinian tomb i serve a risen savior this morning and i thank god for that and so no matter what you read in the newspaper no matter what you see on the fake news media i'm here to tell you there's still hope in this world there's still hope in this nation and the hope's not in the white house the hopes in god's house because judgment must begin at the house of god and when we repent and we get right i'm telling you things begin to happen and the lord begins to move and the lord begins to work so thank you so much for being here we still have folks that are coming in we'll make sure we filter them to this side of the tent over here and we'll get you in but i'm honored that you are here today how many of you are not and we get this every single week it's been this way for two solid years but we always like to ask and so i know today will be no different if you are not from the great state of tennessee which we would like you to be amen and maybe after this service some of you go home and move back that happens about every month without fail if you are not from tennessee but for whatever reason you felt like the lord wanted you here today and you come to visit just for this one service but you are not from the state of tennessee and we can honor you for your presence i want you to stand up all over this house if you are from out of state i want you look at this hundreds of people hundreds of people all over the room absolutely amazing hallelujah to god be the glory you may be seated thank you so much for being here and i know many of you have watched and watched and watched and then you are here today to experience the goodness of the lord why don't we take just a moment and also welcome our online community by the tens of thousands of people watching us all over the world we'd love you guys and thank god for you so many people watch and then try to make a visit here at least one time i've never had anybody leave and say the live stream was better ((music playing)) book was better you know it's never happened people just love what god's doing in this tent and everywhere i go and literally every day preachers and church folks like ask what are you going to do when are you going to be on are you going to build i'm like you know what we're just going to get out of god's way and let him keep doing it in a tent amen he's doing it in a tent with cedar chips on the ground on old lebanon dirt road hadn't been dirt for 50 years but here we are it's the worst spot in wilson county and that's why god said you know what i'm going to put my glory right there in that little rock spot just right there on the corner i'm going to do something so that the world can see it and 15 years ago we had no idea that when we named our church global vision that indeed it would prophetically be indicative of now having a global vision size platform and literally people from all over america and around the world had somebody slip up a moment ago we had somebody fly in from england for the service today man had some folks flying from europe and so it just never fails who the lord sins let me get a couple of uh just kind of housekeeping announcements and things like that out of the way although it is easter and resurrection sunday we yes we still will be having our mass deliverance service tonight i know many people ask us about that tonight we'll be week number eight we never thought that we had been involved in that ministry we certainly never thought that the lord on sunday nights would send us the massive amounts of hundreds and hundreds of people every single week that come here for prayer and for deliverance and to be set free how many believe that there's freedom in the lord jesus christ there's power in the gospel ((applause)) so tonight will be our eighth week to have our mass deliverance service and let me just remind you it is not a normal service it is not a regular service it's not an offering service it's not a singing service it's not a preaching service it's exactly what it sounds like it's a mass deliverance service it's unlike anything you've ever seen uh children are at parents discretion although we do have child care but we want you to get here doors will open at five o'clock for you to be able to get in and we will start at six i say six i give a five minute window of grace to 605 and so let me please remind you i don't care how far you drove if you wrote a mule if you hitchhike listen if you get here at 6 15 the crew will not let you in the door they will not not because we're trying to be judged but because you will have missed some of the very important things on what deliverance is and why our church is has a hand and a heart and deliverance and so you have to be in here by 6 15. we've had people drive from michigan and get here at 6 45 they will not let you in the security will not let you in you'll have to come to another one because you have to be here to hear the renunciations to do the forgiveness work and to hear why deliverance and the roadblocks thereof are so viable and so very important and so make sure that you are here tonight i'll also remind you one more thing just to get this out of the way there is absolutely everybody say absolutely absolutely no pictures and no video in the evening service you can take as many pictures as you want to the media comes every service but the two times that we've allowed them to come in for an evening service we told them you can write about it but you cannot take pictures this is a safe haven this is a house of freedom and we don't want anybody to be embarrassed we don't do stuff for clicks and likes we don't need a bigger following on youtube all right and so we're not looking for blue check marks and so this is now as well as tonight i'll make the announcement one more time about 15 minutes before we get started at 6 00 not 6 15. and and the announcement is simply this this is the warning that's it tonight you'll get the warning again i'll say it again there will not be a warning if we catch you with a phone in your hand our security will immediately escort you out the door to your car no questions asked i don't care if you're the president of the united states because he ain't gonna show up know how he needs deliverance but anyhow understand that we do this for a reason and so at this point we do not allow any video footage and no photography whatsoever in our deliverance service we do not want people to be embarrassed want people to be free and to get some freedom in the lord jesus christ so that is tonight at six o'clock doors open to the tenth at five o'clock it'll be a glorious time normally goes about two hours you don't have to stay the entirety of the time but i promise you if you've never been to a mass deliverance service you have never been to a service like this a day in your life it is unbelievable the hundreds of people that walk out of here free in the lord jesus christ and that's why we do what we do if you're already here and i know we got people that are driving in this afternoon and we have other churches that participate that are in their services right now and rightly so but if you're in the tent right now and you are already planning and being back tonight for the mass deliverance service put your hand up behind the air just so we can know all right it's going to be a massive massive crowd of people and so it's going to be good you're not going to be disappointed the lord's going to bless in a marvelous way well in just a moment we're going to get to one of our favorite times in the service and that is when we get to give because we have the privilege of giving and i tell you we don't give so we can get we just get to give and let god take care of the rest of it and we have been blessed so so much simply because of the generosity the sacrifice and the unbelievable benevolence of our church it is mind-numbing to me as a shepherd of this congregation absolutely mind-numbing at the amount of money that we are able to invest in the kingdom we very rarely ever invest in the campus because when we invest in the kingdom god invests in the campus and he takes care of our needs he does it every single day every single week we are literally this is week number 12 that we've been back in this tent and as i always say we have yet to take one offering for our church now i know some of you you're like oh that's great you go back and watch 11 weekends in a row and no wednesday nights we've only had one wednesday night offering in 12 weeks and it was for somebody else 11 straight sundays we've not kept a dime of the money every bit of it on the weekends we've given all of it away to other churches to other ministries to church plants every bit of it and somehow or another god just keeps bringing it in it's not cheap to meet in this big old high-tech redneck tent right i know the haters say that we're just a clown show and a circus tent but at the end of the day they can laugh all they want to god's gonna get the last laugh because his glory is rising amongst his people in this house and part of the way i know that as a pastor is the levels of generosity that our church have been walking in is just unimaginable it is just beautiful to watch us literally i told you for years i'm gonna prove to you that you cannot out give god you cannot and we try every week just to give it all away and god just gives it back and gives it back and gives it back and gives it back and so in a few moments we'll take an offering and we're just going to trust the lord but before we do i i want to i want to celebrate with you for a few moments amen just want to celebrate with you for a few moments before we get to to giving and and to a little bit more worship and then get into the word of the lord you know it's interesting that today falls on resurrection sunday because it was literally i mean down to the day 30 years ago today april 17 1992 metro baptist church when they were still on neely's being in a in a rented school facility over in madison it's the church that's out on the main highway now that was blown down the tornado a few years ago and then was was rebuilt and in that service that night april 17 92 30 years ago today i walked an island got saved by the grace of the gospel of jesus christ 30 years ago today hallelujah today it's my birthday amen 30 years ago 30 years ago 16 year old teenager do the math yes that makes me right at 46. i'll be 46 next month i know i look 35 my wife feeds me preservatives and so i'm doing all right amen 30 years ago today now we have somebody that's gonna say a few words this morning and i actually have two groups of people that i want to introduce one of them is a man a few words and so he doesn't want to say anything and i certainly understand that and that's fine we had him here many many many years ago when we're down in a little wedding chapel and i don't even know what year that that particular year was maybe year 20 or something like that but i have two interesting guests one from which you're going to hear in just a moment but when i got saved there was a man that was preaching that we're going to hear from in just a moment because we found him and we got him in the house today amen he was preaching tonight i got born again he was preaching the first night and i got mad and cussed him right in the lobby and i was not a happy camper went back the next night got born again that's how the lord uses that amen god uses the wrath of man to praise him and then when i walk forward in that invitation man i was scared to death you see the first night i went and we sat way in the back way in the back but the second night we showed up and we were late and it's interesting that when you're late in a baptist church you don't get back seats ((music playing)) you get under the spout where the glory comes out you get right in a spit pit the only thing that was open was like the first three rows and i'm like you got to be kidding me and they stuck me third row right center with the pulpit with the cross right on the front of it this man got up and he preached the word of the lord and then when i walked forward in the invitation there must have been 150 200 kids just like me standing all across the front he said we need some personal workers man like frogs on lily pads they started popping up all over the building all over the building and my basketball coach then from bellwood christian academy when i was living at the good shepherd children's home my basketball coach mike harris he took a bible took me down the hall we turned left room 101. i still remember it he took me in a room and we knelt the carpet and he opened the bible he says let me tell you what the bible says and i knew by the way what the bible said but i was just arrogant i didn't want i grew up first baptist church down here i knew about jesus but granny always told me if you ever get saved god will change your life and i didn't want him to but i found out she was right because he did and he opened the bible and just very patiently very privately very lovingly with great compassion showed me right from the word of god here's what the bible says whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved and that night in that room mike harris led me to the lord jesus christ after hearing a stirring bible mess message two nights in a row and although he doesn't want to talk he doesn't have to i would like mike and jalal harris just to stand for a moment the man that led me to christ 30 years ago thank you thank you i love you guys i love you thank you for celebrating with us and they've been good friends for many many years mama harris and good friends but i do want you to hear from the man that was preaching the message the night i got mad and the night i got born again he's been working at liberty university and thomas road baptist church he actually teaches the class now the pastoral sunday school class that jerry falwell started and taught for many many years teaches it with brother elmer towns it's now in his 90s and been around a long long time in the church world in the revival world it took me a little while to find him he's been out of evangelism for about 20 years now and just operating in his local church and serving the lord and doing what the lord wants them to we've been together one time in in the last 30 years in las vegas in a church out there of all things we were preaching a youth conference together years and years ago when i was still in in full-time evangelism before he started the church here and i don't know even how i found him i just i started thinking one day and i was praying and i looked up the name of his ministry online and i couldn't quite find the website and somehow or another somebody said man i think he's in lynchburg at falwell's place and somehow or another i sent an email to the right person and that thing pinged back and i got his number and we got in contact with each other and i said man it's going to be my 30-year salvation birthday on resurrection sunday it doesn't happen every year obviously and i said man would you come and we're going to have him back you know for a time of actual preaching and teaching and we've got some things we're going to do with him in the studio coming up kind of getting back in the game amen getting back in evangelism and just let the lord open some doors for him but i said listen i want you to come and i just want our people to have the chance to meet you it's a global vision i want you to get on your feet brother david benoit i want you to come to the platform the man of god that was preaching that night i got saved 30 years ago ((music playing)) well my name is that's french most people think all freshmen are tall dark and handsome i figure one out of three ain't bad and uh you know thinking about how greg came up he had kind of like the same life as i had you know he was in uh arrested six times and he was on parole probation for five times i mean i've got two brothers they've both been to penitentiary three times uncle's been the penitentiary three times i was in reform school by the time i was 15 years old i tell people we live very sheltered lives we're all locked up a guy said to me one day he said benwa benoit what does that mean in france i said it meant two to five years depending what you did when i was growing up ((applause)) but you know god takes the simple things the foolishness to change the world ((music playing)) and i am so honored today to be in this place to see what god is doing and it's really amazing because i was praying i was telling greg i was praying lord why do you have me here at this time i mean there was a time when i would speak and i've spoken literally to over probably a million people in audiences over 30 years and we've seen thousands like greg was saying a while ago he wasn't the only one there was 200 kids 100 something kids at that one every night we'd see hundreds peop of people getting saved and i'm saying lord why are you leaving me here at the end of the age which i believe we're getting close soon and very soon we're going to see the king so i understand that i look at all the people that have passed away that were great prophetic teachers and things and i'm saying lord why did you leave and then all of a sudden i get a phone call from greg now i'm going to tell you something about greg that you don't know and when i tell you you're going to be shocked pastor greg was born dead he was born dead you say how do you know that because i was there the night the physician revived it ((applause)) now some of you guys understand that because if you're watching me in your secular you don't understand this thing the bible says that when adam and eve had sinned that they died spiritually greg was dead as a doornail i was dead as a doornail you all we were all born in the lineage of adam and therefore we're all born dead but that night the night before on the 16th he came and he got all in my face now about i boxed for seven years had offered to fight professionally i could have whipped him i know that ((applause)) but instead of getting angry at him i just looked at him i said this you know why you think there's nothing wrong with by then i was speaking on rock music and the occult and stuff that's what i was known for in the 80s and i'm not talking about beats and rhythms i'm talking about demonism and witchcraft in the music okay and i said you the reason why you see there's nothing wrong with this is because you're on your way to hell i walked away i had nothing more i ever want to step outside would go you know if you can't get and take jesus in you beat the devil out of them but i just walked away i said that's enough and then he came back the next night like he said sitting on the third roll came forward and got saved i've seen hundreds and thousands of people but i do remember this one probably you'll never forget him either right but but the greatest thing about it is that he came that night he was angry the next night he came back now if you know anything it's a miracle sometime ago some time ago i wrote a song entitled if you don't believe in miracles just take a look at me i mean he's a miracle you're a miracle we're walking miracles and god i hope that today if you're dead in your sins and trespasses i hope today that you'll understand that the resurrection has given us new life and when brother greg gives invitation i hope you where you're at will bow and be brought to life god bless you hallelujah amen thank you brother benoit everybody thanks it's pronounced but no wait but it's been walked amen praise the lord you may be seated thank you for honoring god's man ((music playing)) and that's part of what i want to do in this offering as well is honor the man of god and they didn't ask and they had no idea and i'm going to make them take a check as well and uh they probably not going to we're chasing down we got good security around the house amen so it's going to be part of our our benevolence today part of our giving i want to sow into them so into their their life their livelihood their homes their marriages their ministries and bless them in a real good way and that's this is fruit that remains amen i mean we've reached a lot of people and we have a massive following online but at the end of the day the judgment seat of christ will bear all things because everybody we've reached i mean that horse trough right there we have baptized 3 500 converts in two years in this tent 3 500 converts i don't even know who all's here for baptism today to be lined by the father for it and so there's no greg locke and there's no global vision without these families here on the front row and i say thanks being the god which gives us the victory through our lord jesus christ amen church and so we just want to be faithful as we give today and again it's it's easter and so we're just we're given to the house today we've not even done that for 12 weeks it's the first offering we've even didn't have a specific four but i can promise you that we're going to take out of it and we're going to bless these folks in an abundant way because you know around here we don't tip the people most most pastors are tippers yeah give you a little here give you a little there oh no we don't tip folks we bless folks we honor folks we give because it's what the bible tells us to do and and i'll just say this and we're going to pray in regards to to brother benoit what he just said i can't speak for him but i've asked him this question ask him about all those those preachers hundreds of them hundreds of them that he preached for through the years tens of thousands of people walking the aisles getting saved lives being transformed turned around literally amazing over a million people face to face he's probably preached to through the years and you know it's humbling to me but it's a bitter appeal to swallow when you think about the reality in all of those years of ministry and faithfulness to the gospel people still being reached no doubt he doesn't even know our church and me personally as an individual is the only person out of all those people that have been saved through the years the only person that ever found him and reached out and thanked him and that's a shame in the body of christ we ought to rejoice over the people that got us where we are don't you ever forget the people that led you to christ don't you ever forget the person that was preaching the night you got saved the person that put you on a bus gave you a gospel track took you to a jesus film drug you to church never forget the people that made you who you are never the apostle paul named people at the end of every book you know what he never forgot the people that god used to get him where he's at don't ever forget those people so as we give today let's just be faithful as we give to the house but i want you to be faithful in giving because we're going to bless these folks in an abundant way father thank you for this time just of rejoicing it's a church family in-house and online and just from an individual standpoint lord what you've what you've done here 30 years i don't even know if this crazy nation has 30 more years in it but lord raise us up as an instrument of revival in the days that we have left and father i pray that you'd bless abundantly abundantly the service as we listen to the word of god as we give or there's people in this room and people online as they sow into the kingdom as they sow into the ministry of seeing people saved and baptized and delivered and set free with the power of the lord jesus so lord release us in a spirit of generosity lord bless the harris family in an unbelievable way made the anointing of god flow in their life may their business flourish may their home be abundantly blessed for brother benoit that his ministry would flourish may the latter end of his ministry be more glorious than the beginning open every door and father we're going to thank you for all that you're doing in what you're about to do in this place the tomb is empty the tomb is empty and there is victory and power in the name of the lord jesus christ bless this offering today we pray in the mighty name of jesus and all of god's people sin god bless you as you give ((music playing)) as we get ready to worship again i love what he says about how we don't tip people so as we give and we prepare our hearts to worship again let's not tip the lord in our worship let's not just it's not just another day today is not any other day but it's the day by which we are saved so let's dive in because his presence is here his goodness is here his life-changing miracle is here if you need a touch from the lord if you're in need of the lord he is able he is willing he is faithful and he stands at the door and he knocks so i want to invite you if you want to come to the altar if you want to stay in your seat but don't tip the lord today in your worship because worship is what prepares our hearts to receive the word of the lord are you ready to receive the word of the lord today are you ready to jump in to dive in because he didn't give us a tip he gave us his whole self it wasn't one stripe on his back it was 50. it was both hands and both feet until he said it is finished and i want to remind you today you are not finished because he has a plan for your life if you are here if you are listening if you are breathing today he has a plan and a purpose for your life so would you give it to him ((music playing)) it to today ((music playing)) ((music playing)) you gave it all for me ((music playing)) i knew ((music playing)) i love you forever ((music playing)) they're in the ground sealed in the darkness lifelessly the frame of the fire ((music playing)) he gave it all for me ((music playing)) i ((music playing)) forever ((music playing)) is is hallelujah ((music playing)) evangelical trap of celebrating that once a year he's alive every day ladies and gentlemen he's alive every day not just around this time of the year he'll be alive tomorrow he'll be alive next week he was alive last year this time and he is still very much alive we'll take our text in isaiah chapter 53 if you turn there for just a little while today the book of isaiah the 53rd chapter a very powerful text and i want to say thank you again for being here allowing us to host you most of all thank the lord for hosting his presence in this place continue to pray as i as i preach and teach through this context today just verse by verse expositionally uh this past tuesday i got a little bit of a chest infection and it's just been kind of lingering along and so we'll just let the microphones and the monitors do their work today and we i i would say i won't try to get nearly as excited as i normally do but i can't ever help that amen that's just who i am and i'll get to clapping and shouting and stuff and i can't help myself and so we'll uh we'll do our best with our voice today and just trust the lord but uh the word of god's what's going to do the work that's where the anointing comes from amen right from this bible and so we don't apologize for bible preaching i'm often grieved when i hear people say open your bible and then i never go back to the bible i think bible preaching should come out of the bible amen church this is not called global vision facebook church it's not called global vision news media church it's global vision bible church and so we need to discover what the bible actually says and so today in the text of isaiah chapter 53 and a little bit of chapter 52 leading into it i trust that i can do justice to probably one of the greatest passages in the old testament to describe the gospel and who jesus was and so let's pray and we're going to jump right in father in jesus name i ask that you would just settle our hearts and minds over the course of these next few moments i'm well aware of the fact that if anything is going to be done today of eternal value then holy spirit you're going to have to do it because i can't and so i pray for every man woman boy and girl everybody in this room everybody that is watching online and we'll watch later captivate their hearts through the convicting power of the spirit show us the lord jesus today you said if you would be lifted up you would draw people unto yourself and we exalt you today lord jesus we lift you up today and not just today but every day you're a risen savior and we thank you for that and so i pray that the plain text of the word of god would do its work in our hearts and when we leave in just a bit may we say with the two disciples on the road to emmaus did not our hearts burn within us when he spake the word of god unto us so in some shape form or fashion give us that holy heartburn today for the things of the word of god and for the one that's here that's never truly been saved today set them free through the power of the gospel of jesus and we're going to thank you for it in jesus name and all of god's people said in isaiah chapter 53 we have an old testament passage that is prophetic it is predictive if you will to the coming and the death of the lord jesus christ now we look at it in matthew mark luke and john there's another passage we preached on some wednesday nights ago psalm chapter 22 but in isaiah chapter 53 you have the greatest prediction of what it was like when jesus came to this earth and so we're going to jump right in because where we start doesn't really matter where we end in just a bit is going to be very very important for you to understand that jesus in this house is not just one of many ways to the kingdom of god he is the one and only way to the kingdom of god and if you trust anybody but jesus to get you to heaven excuse my english you ain't going because he said i am the way the truth and the life and no man comes to the father but by me but in order to understand the clear teaching the text of isaiah chapter 53 we have to back up just a few verses to the end of chapter 52. so let the bible do its work look at verse number 13 isaiah chapter 52 behold that's a coffee drinking word it means wake up and pay attention to what comes next my servant he's referring to the coming servant the messiah and these jews were excited about this at about this time in the tent everybody was happy clappy on their feet they were worshiping oh yes he's gonna talk about the messiah that is to come behold my servant shall deal prudently he shall be exalted and extolled and be very high now understand when i read this to you we think yeah case of rasara when they heard this they were like yes that's our messiah he's going to be exalted he's going to be magnified he's going to show up and show out and overthrow the government and he is going to completely rid us of this tyrannical nonsense they were waiting with great anticipation on the coming of this one as many now notice the amens are going to start to dry up as many were astonished at thee his visage his facial features were so marred more than any man and his form more than the sons of men i got to be honest with you you ever heard somebody just ramping up some preaching getting everybody excited rah-rah bish kumbha three cheers for jesus and then said something that was so crazy that it dried the whole place up well this is exactly what happened under inspiration from the holy spirit when isaiah stood and said behold my servant this coming messiah is going to be magnified he's going to be exalted he's going to be extolled the people will fall before him in worship and then he said but i want to remind you that his face is going to be unrecognizable his visions will be marred more than any of the sons of men he's going to be beaten and he begins to say these things and all of a sudden the people begin to dry up in their excitement dry up in their worship they begin to dry up and the amends and all the excitement that's happening in the room and it's almost like the message of the prophet sucked the air and the life right out of the congregation verse 15 really gets them so shall he this messiah he's predicting sprinkle many nations now i'm here to tell you those were fighting words to a jew because the messiah was coming for them not for anyone else what do you mean he's going to sprinkle many nations what do you mean he's going to bless the gentiles he's coming for us but i remind you john chapter 1 and verse 11 says he came into his own and his own received him not but to many has received him to them gave he the power to become the sons of god even to them that believe on his name and he said he's going to sprinkle many nations many groups of people are going to be saved and by the way we know that to be true because in revelation chapter 5 the bible says and they cast their crowns at the feet of the lamb and said thou art worthy that redeemed us back to god again out of every nation out of every tribe out of every tongue out of every people and the bible says that these people in this context are sitting there shell-shocked they are theologically flabbergasted that isaiah would even say such a thing the kings shall shut their mouths at him for that which had not been told them shall they see this is not what they predicted this is not what they expected this was not in the anticipation of the bulletin this is not at all what they were waiting upon and that which they had not heard shall they consider now it's important that you understand the context of those verses because the next verse only makes sense when you recognize the apprehension of the people their hearts were stirred when he talked about this coming messiah and then all of a sudden their hearts were hardened as he began to say things about this messiah whom they knew not who it was that they were shocked by and might i remind you that israel to this day still has blindness and has not received the love of the truth of the messiah the lord jesus christ but do not let that discourage you because my bible says that god is not done with the nation of israel and one day they will look upon him whom they have pierced and a nation shall be born in a day god promised that and god is not finished with the nation of israel but the amen stride up and they set their stupefied they set their dumb found that how could he say such a thing and then notice the question that he now has to ask because of their reaction who hath believed our report he's like who amongst you is actually going to believe this because to them it was utter nonsense this was a fall down the steps moment in the life of the prophet he proclaims the truth and the people sit there like bumps on logs and they're like are you kidding me and he says who's going to believe this truth who have believed our report and might i say i believe the report 30 years ago today praise be unto god that jesus did for me what the world could not do and what they in 16 years could not figure out jesus in 16 seconds took care of who had believed our report and the people sat there in disbelief in rebellion to the clear teaching of the word of god and he says to whom is the arm of the lord revealed who has god revealed himself to i remind you he's revealed himself to you and he's revealed himself to me and never get this haughty idea that we deserve the grace of god you deserve to go to hell is what you deserve i deserve god's judgment i deserve god's wrath the bible says in ephesians chapter 2 and you hath thee quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins weren't in times past you walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the earth the spirit to now worketh in the children of disobedience among whom we all had our conversation in times past in the lust of the flesh and the desires of our mind and we're by nature the children of wrath we were dead we were damned we were depraved we were disobedient we were away from god but god who is rich in mercy for his great love wherewith he loved us even when we were dead in sins hath quickened us together with christ for by grace are you saved it's such a plain teaching and yet he says to whom has god revealed himself you know because of the shall i use the term loosely clientele of our church we're a church where broken people find new meaning to life and if you're not broken you're in the wrong house because fixed folks can't help broke folks everybody's got issues all have sinned and come short of the glory of god the only reason the pope thinks he's perfect because he ain't married say amen right there his wife would tell him different all of us are jacked up every one of us sinned has messed us up we are tore up from the floor up and yet god has revealed himself to us to the broken amongst us to the spiritually diseased amongst us to the undeserving masses of the world jesus says come unto me all you that labor and are heavy lady and i will give you rest he says him that cometh unto me island oh wise cast him out that's a pretty good promise if you ask me and yet these people are listening to this man preach the reality of this coming messiah and they're almost in disbelief but notice as he begins to describe him verse 2 for he shall grow up before him as a tender plant now notice please the next phrase and as a root out of a dry ground you recognize the fact that israel had been in the bondage of iniquity immorality and idolatry for decades when you end the 39 books of the old testament and you come to malachi and then all of a sudden you flip over to matthew you have hundreds of years of silence from god we call them the 400 silent years no dreams no revelation no predictions no prophecy no inspiration nothing god is silent it's the dark ages of biblical times as it were 400 years of darkness and silence had fallen upon the people of god nothing and then all of a sudden matthew chapter 3 and verse 1 in the midst of all that it says and in those days came john the baptist what days days of darkness days of no revelation from god in those days came john the baptist preaching in the wilderness of judea and saying repenting for the kingdom of god is at hand and he walks down into the water in john 1 29 he sees a slumping figure coming over the horizon and he said behold the lamb of god which takes away the sins of the world and jesus came on the scene when the world was in a dry spell when there had been no revelation there had been no prophets there had been no preaching matter of fact the prophets were slain by the israeli fathers and elders because they didn't like what was being said from the pulpit and i must be honest humanity has not changed a whole lot they want to be stroked well they want to be fed cotton candy unicorns skittles if you're looking for a cotton candy church i'm sure you'll find one in this town but you will not find it here we will give you the truth even when it makes you uncomfortable because that's what truth does it cuts the word of god is a sharp two-edged sword it'll cut you going in and cut you coming out and so these people were in stark rebellion to the message of the man of god and he begins to talk about the fact that he's going to show up in the midst of dryness in the midst when revival is needed the most he has no form nor comeliness now notice this and when we now he's saying this predicting something that's going to happen we look back and we know it transpired because we have the completion of the text but let's know what these people heard he has no formal commonness and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we would desire him now think about that for a moment these people were expecting the greatness of a world leader to show up and make all their problems go away make all the tyranny of the government go away make them sleep better at night and feel better about themselves and he said let me tell you something about this messiah when he shows up he's not going to look like he walked off the front cover of a gq magazine like you've been taught let me remind you how plain jesus was i don't know if you've ever thought about this we get this idea that jesus when he walked around he actually levitated three feet off the ground and he knew him everywhere that he went and his robe was all the time glowing and he had this big halo about the top of his head oh no can i remind you in the garden of gethsemane when he was around people that had already met him jesus was so common so plain and so normal that one of his own people had to kiss him on the cheek just so the soldiers that already knew who he was would even recognize who he was there was nothing spectacular about looking at jesus he didn't come to be a looking good individual he came to seeking to say that which was lost luke 19 10. he didn't come for miracles the miracles validated the message he didn't come to be famous he came to make his father famous and isaiah says when he shows up he's not even going to be pretty he's not going to be someone that you will admire which by the way i admire that context because in first corinthians can i remind you the apostle paul said i am base amongst you but it's not me it's the power of the spirit of god within me and i don't know anything amongst you save jesus christ and him crucified because god uses the weak things of the world to confound the mighty the poor things of the world to confound the rich and the ignorant things they got to use as ignorant people say amen right there to confound the wisdom of this world for the wisdom of this world is foolishness if it's not wrought in the strict pages of the word of god and he said look you're not going to like this guy when he shows up oh you think you will you think he's going to be so beautiful and handsome have big bulging biceps he's going to swoop in and talk real smooth oh no they didn't kill jesus because of the smooth things he did they killed jesus because of the unsmooth things that he said and all the time here's what people say well brother lock people would like you more if you preach like jesus you think ((applause)) oh no ladies and gentlemen jesus was crucified because of what he said against the religious and the political establishment and yet everybody says well if you would just preach more like jesus more people would like you jesus said beware when all men speak well of you preaching is not supposed to be liked it's supposed to be biblical and so he said look this is not going to be the guy that you think you're looking for it's not going to show up he's not going to be here the way that you think he's going to arrive now watch verse three things get real real fast he is despised and rejected of men and might i say that prophetically that is still true to this moment he is despised and rejected of men people drive by and say oh the circus is in town those people are crazy he's despised and rejected of men people still think we've lost our minds we get up and we say things like this there is power and authority in the name of jesus christ and people like well you know i i believe that mentally yeah but physically when they see it happen freaks them out a little bit well then people over there believe in demons well if you read a bible one good day in your life you'd believe in demons too but you would know ladies and gentlemen the greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world and there's power in the name of the lord jesus christ he's still powerful but nobody wants that message he's despised he's rejected to this very day people think we're crazy carry a bible to work and see if people don't think you're crazy people like well you know brother like i know that's all good ra robish kumba but i'm not looking to be a jesus freak oh i'm planning on it i'm counting on it ((applause)) i'm counting on it and then the bible says he's despised we hit us at where our face is from him think about that he does it where our faces from him looked away he said you're not going to pay attention you're going to ignore him and that's still happening to this day now watch verse 4. surely that's affirmative biblical terminology without a doubt surely he hath born literally means to be placed upon him he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows now you let the reality of that text sink in deeply you know what i found after 30 years of preaching the gospel people don't need flowery three points and a poem a nice well put together messages they need the bible and the bible says right here that he has borne our griefs ever been through grief ever been through brokenness and hardship the bible says he bears the grief he carries our sorrows yet in the midst of all of that isaiah sinned we did esteem him stricken smitten of god and afflicted meaning by that that even in the midst of that the jews considered what jesus was dealing with nothing but judgment they believed that he was an imposter a faker an interloper remember on the cross they said oh he trusted in god let god deliver him if he delights in him you see well i don't think they talk that way i got the mic they talk just like that praise god and so these people were not esteeming him they said he's smitten of god you know why because deuteronomy said cursed is everyone that hangs upon a tree and jesus became a curse for us so that we could be set free from the power of the kingdom of darkness and be translated into the kingdom of god's dear son colossians 1 13 says and yet they said oh this is the judgment of god no wonder he's being beaten he deserves this you ever wondered why the jewish nation has gone through so much hell and turmoil all these decades you ever wonder why god has allowed his people to suffer such unbearable punishments through the years historically we look at that and the atheists grab a hold of that in the agnostics and they say you see there the bible can't be real why would god love a nation so much and let them suffer ridicule and persecution and disbursement why would he allow it well i must remind you that when pilate said i wash my hands free and clear of this man and i find no fault in him that the elders the religious rulers the mouthpieces of the people of the nation of israel the bible toters the law abiders they said oh that's fine his blood be on us and on our children's children and as a nation they cursed themselves and god took them up on it but you better know one day the curse will be lifted and the nation of israel will understand that jesus is the messiah yeshua hamashiach the messiah of the world ((applause)) yes they will recognize this fact but then notice it goes on in verse 5 and it says but he was wounded for our transgressions not for his own not for any ill will that he had done oh no he was wounded for our transgressions our evil our sin our ungodliness our depraved nature he was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities bruised beaten bruised for my problems for my rebellion for my sin for my witchcraft for my ungodly behavior he was bruised for me and for you the chastisement the whipping literally taking our place we deserve the punishment and yet first john 2 2 says that he is the propitiation it's a fancy king james word that means the satisfaction of the wrath of god he is the propitiation for our sins but not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world and he simply says he's bruised for iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him how do we get peace jesus provided peace colossians says through the blood of his cross you don't get peace in a bottle you don't get peace and appeal you don't get peace in a relationship you get peace in jesus christ he's the only one that can give us peace he provided in one moment what the world's looked for for all these years all these decades and centuries i want peace i want peace jesus said you can have it because i took the punishment so that you could have it and with his stripes we are healed you know that's a beautiful phrase i used to skip her over all the time because i was taught to well you know the bible says there that by his stripes we are healed but that ain't got nothing to do with physical healing i used to say that all the time because i was taught to say that all time and i get it people like well you know he's talking about spiritual healing yeah i get it but all of a sudden i was reading one day in the book of matthew you ever notice that the bible will mess up a lot of what we call good preaching we're like that's good preaching i read the bible i'm like man that was crap and so i used to skip over this you know because it says that by his stripes we are healed and i'm like yeah that just means my heart's healed and that just means that you know spiritually god heals me no it also means exactly what it says because i was reading in math you know what the bible says jesus went about laying his hands upon all of those that were sick comma that it might be fulfilled of what was spoken in the prophet isaiah that by his stripes we are healed ((music playing)) so to say that physical healing was not in the atonement is to deny the reality of what the text clearly teaches and the fulfillment of what jesus clearly did but that's another message for another time verse six oh we say we like sheep you know people get mad all the time when when you call church people sheep don't call me a sheep god did hey amen right there huh hey amen oh we like sheep now it's interesting that god doesn't care how much he hurts your feelings it don't bother him one bit he's got big shoulders you can whine and cry all you want to oh my goodness i can't believe he called me a sheep well he did you might as well get over it you see god's not worried about your feelings he's worried about your faith god's not worried that every day's a friday and everything's wonderful whoa everything's all right i don't know god says look let me tell you the truth because everything's not going to be all right until you get the truth and the truth is we're like sheep and sheep are ignorant you ever mess with sheep stubborn jokers rebellious mean as a junkyard them sheep will know on each other they'll bite each other like lions and i'm like why does god call us sheep and i'm like oh now i see i've pastored for a while now oh we like sheep have gone astray we have turned everyone to his own way and does not the bible say in proverbs 18 and proverbs 23 there is a way which seems right unto a man but the end there of the ways of death if you want to do it your way god will let you he forgives sins but he doesn't relieve consequences you still have to put up with the fallout of what you did and so he says look like a sheep we've all gone astray we've turned literally everyone to his own way do our own thing and the lord even in doing this even in our rebellion even in our wickedness in our turning from the truth in all of that and the lord hath laid on him jesus the iniquity of us all notice how that verse starts and how that verse ends it's the same word all of us like sheep have gone astray but because of what jesus has done all of us can be saved born again and set free by the power of the gospel of jesus because the gospel is very simplistic humanity makes it difficult the denomination has ruined the gospel the gospel doesn't care what the name of your church is the gospel is simple it's the death the burial and the resurrection nothing more nothing less you are not saved by anything else other than the gospel i don't care about social gospel medical gospel civic gospel there's only one saving gospel the death he barely need resurrection that's what saves us from our sin that's what saves us from our sin whoo that excites me you better be glad i ain't feeling good i'd be in brother benoit's lap preaching about right now he was oppressed yes he was he was afflicted and can i remind you from psalm 22 we learn that it was not just a a physical beating jesus endured spiritually physically emotionally in every way my god my god why have you forsaken me god forsaken by god the only time in the history of the universe that the trinity is severed because god turns his back and says i cannot look upon sin he did that for you and he did that for me do not take that lightly that would be blasphemous he was oppressed and he was afflicted yet he opened not his mouth and can i be honest if i didn't have a verse in the bible if i didn't have a contextual proof in the bible other than this one to prove to me and to you from this platform that jesus was exactly who he said he was and who he claimed to be this one's enough they beat him they ridiculed him can you imagine if social media would have been around holy smokes and yet in the midst of the false accusations in the midst the book of john says they buffeted him it's a word that literally means they began to box him who hit you jesus who hit you jesus why don't you tell us big boy who hit you they cleared their throats and spit in his face smacked him with the palms of their hands lied about him to his face and mocked him and his father yet he never opened his mouth i'm here to tell you that was the one divine mark that he didn't come to defend himself he came to defend you in all of your sin and jesus did not open his mouth and make no mistake he could have called legions of angels from his father to destroy the world and set him free and he kept his mouth shut so that you and i could have life and life more abundantly by the way not life more redundantly if you think serving jesus is boring you're doing it wrong life's too short to go to a dead church life's too short to live for a boring savior he gives us life more abundantly church more abundantly i'm pretty cranked up about serving jesus even when i don't feel good ((applause)) you ain't got to be excited i am in myself i'm my own favorite preacher i'll sign my own bible when i get done hallelujah so he doesn't open his mouth but watch this he's brought as a lamb to the slaughter that's an interesting word it's in the bible you know i know we sing a lot of stuff off the screens and you know we don't necessarily have a red back hymnal but even the scream songs a lot of the new songs and a lot of the hymnals they want to take the blood out they don't want to talk about you know that i'm a wretch and i'm a worm just call me a half decent person don't call me a rich rich don't call me sinful the bible says we're depraved that we're damned we're under the wrath of god if we've not yet believed in the name of the only begotten son of god and yet we want to change well you know we don't want to talk about that that slaughterhouse religion it'll make people uncomfortable i'm counting on it make them uncomfortable enough to get saved by the grace of god make them uncomfortable enough to put down their mess repent and believe the gospel and he says it was a slaughter and it's a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he jesus opened not his mouth he was taken from prison and from judgment who shall declare his generation by the way the third and final and only other question in the whole context he says first of all who's going to believe us secondly who has god revealed himself to and then he says and now after all this who's going to steal stand up and declare his generation who's going to declare the uncomfortable truth is what isaiah is saying and i say i will you will it is time the church in america takes its rightful place and stands up and says this is the truth of the word of god we don't care who it upsets we don't care if it chaps the height of the devil we don't care what the government thinks about it i ain't preaching for the baptist i'm not preaching for the pentecostals i'm preaching from the bible ladies and gentlemen and we got to preach the truth to this generation this generation's lost they're looking for somebody to tell the truth and i'm not a prophet nor son of a prophet but i declare unto you right now you hear me if this generation won't tell the truth the next one will the next one will they're sick and tired of mealy mouth man be pampered lymph wristed skinny jeans wearing pastors they want somebody to stand up and say thus saith the lord this is what the bible says that's why you're here today you say well i didn't know i was going to get into all this you should have watched a video for you showed up there ain't a seatbelt one in this house i'm telling you we got to get back to the truth of the bible repentance is in the bible jesus is the only way it's what the bible teaches ladies and gentlemen fully on all this watered-down gospel preaching that's not real preaching you've been around us long enough to know we ain't closing no matter what happens pandemic my hind leg this is a church and churches don't close because a buck wild government tells them to who shall declare it to this generation i'll declare it to my dying breath and we got some folks that wish it would be a very very soon time for that dying breath to come but i'm feeling pretty healthy so i might be around a while so if you keep showing up just know this i'm going to make you promise i ain't compromising for none of them i ain't compromising for your mama i ain't compromising for my mama i ain't compromising for nobody i'm an equal opportunist biden can sit here trump can sit here and i'll be willing to stand up and preach the devil out of both of them because i'm here to tell you i am not going to compromise because of who shows up in this church and you're here today as a result of the fact that you knew what she was going to get into when you walked in this room it's time churches stand and preach the bible politically correct i don't even know what that is i want to be biblically correct i want to be bc not pc well you know if you say things like that you'll not hurt some people that's okay stop playing their games okay i'm not using your preferred pronoun i don't care enough with the nonsense have you seen what they're doing to our children in schools have you seen what they're teaching them and church wants to sit around twiddle their thumbs oh my now forever hold our peace we don't get another 10 or 20 years we got to speak now forever hold our peace so i'm not saying i told you so i'm telling you god told you so so he said look he kept his mouth shut but at the end of the day isaiah said hmm i'm gonna tell you some stuff it's gonna make you squirm a little bit i'm gonna tell you some stuff it's not gonna make you real happy now watch this verse nine we about done well we're not done i'm just gonna quit i'm never done and he made his grave with the wicked yes he did and with the rich in his death luke chapter 23 king james calls them malefactors thieves robbers one on either side then when he dies he gets a man by the name of joseph of arimathea to give him a tomb jesus didn't even have his own real estate foxes have holes birds of the air have nets son of man has not a place to even lay his head and didn't even have a planned out funeral and a man gives him his own tomb he said well that's just the part of the story that just just bothers me jesus had to use somebody else's tomb yeah it was only a rental for the weekend you understand he's just renting it it's just a little down payment up from the grave he rose with a mighty conqueror or his foes it was just a weekend rental it's all it was ((applause)) because he had done no violence see jesus didn't come to overthrow the government he came to preach the gospel because it don't matter what government you have if you don't preach the gospel you are still a slave to the system because who's in the white house changes nothing it's the gospel that changes our heart and so he said look he didn't come to be violent they would have called jesus today an insurrectionist nancy pelosi would have put him on the hit list and sent him a peanut praise god i checked the other day we're still on the list and i'm still waiting on the subpoena but nonetheless we've moved up actually on the list i didn't think you could move from number three we're like number one on the list now praise god so homeland security is on their way hallelujah neither was there any deceit in his mouth jesus didn't tell a shady joke jesus never said anything to deceive someone because here's what papaw used to say before he went to heaven a half truth is a whole lie no deceit in his mouth but here's what we got to get to and we'll frame this up and we'll get into our invitation and our baptismal time yet everybody say yet say it again yet in spite of the beating in spite of the fact that jesus was emaciated beyond recognition looked as if he had walked through thing it ain't no such thing okay first of all that's a graven image and the bible tells me what to do with graven images have no part of them but i will say you know why i know it's not jesus because when you look at it you can see the man's face just crystal clear and he got a big old beard and a mustache my bible says they plucked his mustache in his beard plumb out of his face and he was so unrecognizable as a human that his face was swollen beyond recognition and everybody says look at there that looks like jesus you couldn't even tell what the man looked like don't worship nonsense okay don't don't get all caught up in fantastical ideas just cause the pope told you to matter of fact don't believe anything that comes out of the pope's mouth y'all quit clapping you don't get me stirred up now i got to get this verse and get out of here y'all's fault if i go after lunch yet yet it pleased the lord all caps jehovah yet it pleased the lord to bruise him you let that encapsulate itself in your mind and your heart right now yet it pleased the lord to bruise him do you know why it pleased the lord to bruise jesus because it displeased the lord to have to bruise you because my bible says that god is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and he was pleased and satisfied with the suffering of the soul of his son you think about that you think about that when jesus was willing to go and have done to him all the unthinkable tragedies that a human body could ever go through that's why philippians 2 5-11 says even the death of the cross roman crucifixion was the most painful humiliating death that a man could die in that day even the death of the cross yet it pleased the lord to bruise him you see there's good news if you believe it about hell this morning you ain't got to go because hell wasn't made for you it was made for the devil and his angels and it pleased the lord to bruise jesus so that we would not have to die in our sin he hath put him jesus to a grief grief stricken in every way now watch when thou shalt make his soul an offering a poured out offering for sin now when we read this we're like oh yeah whatever when the jews heard that which by the way isaiah 53 is the one passage that today's jewish people want to stay away from you back at you into a corner make them read isaiah chapter 53 and the lights will start turning on because they'll start seeing some things in a different context in a different theological framework but here's what you have to understand when the jews heard this that the messiah would pour out his soul not just his body but everything he had as an offering for sin they knew a lot about offerings the old testament was a bloodbath everybody say man it looks like god was mad in the old testament he was ticks off mad it's always been about blood always because it's the only sacrifice that god accepts and for years the altar was a place where the offerings were poured out for the sins of the people and the sins of the individuals nationally and individually and if i might personify for a moment without sounding crazy the altar if i could make the altar a person it had a vocabulary with one word in it and only one it would simply say sacrifice every day sacrifice every decade every generation sacrifice more blood more rituals more offerings more animals more repentance and the only word that the altar ever knew was sacrifice yet when jesus bowed his head and gave up the ghost and said in john 19 30 father it is finished the bible says that the veil in the temple was ripped and twain from top to the bottom it wasn't man from the bottom up it was god from the top down tore the veil ((applause)) and at that moment that altar learned a new word after thousands of years of only knowing one sacrifice sacrifice sacrifice jesus dies splits the veil that we may boldly enter into the throne of grace in a time of need without anybody else's help except the help of the father and at that moment it's almost as if the altar said bing bing bing i learned a new word satisfied satisfied satisfied satisfied it pleased the lord to bruise him and make his soul an offering for sin ((applause)) but lest we miss the resurrection we close the end of verse 10 he shall see check this out the father that bruised him and felt pleased to do so that father shall see the seed of the messiah and what shall he do because of it he shall prolong his days and the pleasure of the lord shall prosper in his hand jesus was the lamb slain before the foundation of the world and the father that was pleased with the bruising and the beating of his son said i see the results and the fruit of the seed that's going to manifest from this death and therefore i shall probe long his days and jesus walked out of a tomb on resurrection morning and today we are the seed of the promise of the gospel the gospel of jesus christ ((applause)) today we have life because the father saw you in this room and saw you online and he was willing to put his son to an open chain so he wouldn't have to put you to one and the bible says that when he sees his seed he shall prolong his days and the prosperous work of the lord shall be in his hands he shall see the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied what you do isn't enough what we collectively do isn't enough every one of us could drain ourselves dry of the blood in our bodies right now and feel 50 gallon drums across the front of this stage and as we fall out to the floor in weak sickly anemia say to god here is the blood of everybody in this tent and i want you to know it all go to hell because god's not satisfied with what you do he was only satisfied with what his son did and jesus did for us and for the whole world what we in no wise could do for ourselves and today because there is a savior that died for you and there is a savior that was buried in a savior that was willing to be resurrected from the dead ascend up into heaven and sit down at the right hand of the majesty of god on high to make intercession for you and for me readying himself to come again and because we have such a gospel and because we have such a savior jesus said he that cometh unto me i'll in no wise cast him out and 30 years ago today the man of god without compromise preach the truth of the word of god and i went into a side room and a man led me to christ because god saw today when all of that happened way back then he saw it he knew it and that's the fruit that remains if you believe that get on your feet today and shout to the lord in this house give him praise and give him honor i was sitting down there thinking while he was preaching you know after jesus ascended into heaven the church was birthed and they had this upper room experience and i was down there and i was thinking of that and i was so convicted because we love to come to church on resurrection sunday but you should love to come to church all the time amen and we feel as if that's enough for us but when we consider what the lord himself did for us when he took sin upon himself he that knew no sin became sin for us that we may be made the righteousness of god in him the people at that time they had this experience with the lord in the upper room and i was so convicted thinking to myself if there is one thing that the church that christ died for needs in this time it's an upper room experience where they go to the father in prayer and supplication and then all of a sudden in chapter 2 he says in the last days saith god i will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh and we all say god pour out your spirit pour out your spirit but i wonder how many of us are willing on a daily basis to go into the secret place of the most high because those that dwell in the secret place of the most high shall find rest in the shadows of the almighty and we want rest and we want revival and we want to see god's spirit poured out upon us and we want to see miracles upon miracles and we want to go from glory to glory but you need an upper room experience first you need to be in that secret place ((music playing)) because my bible says that he sees what is done in secret and he will reward you openly for it and you want to see a move of god in your life and i believe that the lord wants to move in your life more than you actually want him to he wants to bless you more than you actually want to be blessed because he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think but may we leave today with a conviction knowing that the son of man was crucified and rose again in glory for us that we could boldly approach the throne room and we could receive help there may we leave today not taking for granted the fact that because the veil was torn because jesus rose victorious because he took the keys of death and hell we now have access to the father at all times and may we use that time wisely in our lives to stop chasing the things that the world has to offer because what does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul in the process may we seek him because he said those that seek me will find me but those that seek me with their whole heart their whole heart will find him let's seek him with our whole heart every day father we come to you right now in the name of jesus lord we thank you for the sacrifice father we thank you that in his blood we have been redeemed we have been bought with a price lord we thank you that your word does say that you are not slack concerning as some men count slackness when it concerns your promise god but you are long-suffering towards all men that all would receive salvation all will receive eternal life the fulfillment of your promise in him lord that we could have eternal life with the father that we could join in with the angels and the elders and the saints casting our crowns saying holy holy holy is the lord god of hosts the whole earth is full of your glory lord lord we thank you that you are the creator of all things that you created us and desired a relationship with us desired an eternity with us father ((music playing)) lord we thank you for the truth of the gospel father we thank you that you said let this mind be in you which was also in christ jesus who thought it not robbery to be equal with god but made himself of no reputation and being found in the likeness of men he humbled himself even unto the death of the cross wherefore god hath also highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name that at the name of jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that jesus christ is lord to the glory of god the father lord we thank you we thank you that jesus is lord lord of lords and king of kings the alpha and the omega the great i am lord we thank you for the promise that one day the lion of the tribe of judah is going to split the sky with fire in his eyes to come for his church fork and lord we look to that day we woke up because our redemption draws now lord we surrender ourselves at the altar for you lord born as a living sacrifice to go where you say to go to do what you say to do to live a life set apart you said come out from among them lord would your church come out from among them that we would live a life totally sold out to you lord that we would not care if the world thinks that we are crazy that lord we will go into the highways and hedgers and compel them to come in lord we will call prodigals hope we will see captives set free we will see the sick healed and marriages restored because we serve a risen savior that gave us victory there is victory in the name of jesus and we thank you in jesus name amen hallelujah i want you to i want to know that christ is my savior my life can be radically transformed by this beautiful power of the gospel that you speak of and i don't know a lot of things but pastor i know i don't want to
