THE POWER OF PENTECOST

so c put me is first good morning church how are you guys doing thank you guys so much for joining us in house and online unfortunately pastor danny bean is not on the scene today so i found this random lady just walking around thought i'd ask her to do announcements with me you might not know her but i guess she's cool mom i guess why don't you kick us off with some announcements all right so the secret place is gonna meet every tuesday at the hilton garden inn in providence we meet at seven o'clock we have been currently in a series about fervent prayer and it's been beautiful so you can join us at seven o'clock on tuesday nights and you can come right in the middle of the series and pick right up where we are it won't hurt anything the young adults group ages 18 to 25 they are meeting every other saturday now they'll be doing fun events all throughout the summer yesterday they went to rock island and they did not invite me but it's fun it's fun i'm not i'm not upset about that but they had a good time yesterday i think a couple of them came home a little sunburned so that's what happens when you send 18 to 25 year olds out of town without a mom they don't put on sunscreen amen because it doesn't matter how old they get they still need a mom all right online community and in-house community this is the announcement that you have been waiting for global vision academy for our homeschool umbrella group yes we are very very excited about that because you should pull your kids out of public school amen um so we decided if we were going to tell you to pull your kids out of public school that we were going to start our own umbrella school amen so yes the question has been online all week long will we be offering the academy to out of state kids and the answer is yes ms maria figured that out for all of you this week so we're very excited that will be launching on the website and we will let you know when registration is live for you to be able to register your kids through our umbrella school so we are excited about that be waiting for more information deliverance service tonight at six o'clock it is one of my favorite services of the whole week last week was amazing it was super super amazing and i'm excited to see what the lord is going to do today because it is pentecost sunday hallelujah there is no men's bible study in the morning with dad pastor he'll explain more about that but no survey a bible study tomorrow morning however there is iron men tomorrow night at 6 30. pastor danny will be back in town for that so make sure you're there um they meet at the hilton no down here yeah right at the church at 6 30 so make sure you're there and he brings food because we all know how much pastor daddy loves to eat we need parking ministry lord this morning act like you glad to be in the house of the lord today hallelujah it's pentecost sunday don't tell them what's going to happen god's about to show up and show out in this house hallelujah hallelujah you may be seated thank you for being here shout amen thank you so much for being in the house it is historically what we call pentecost sunday pentecost means 50 50 days after the glorious victorious resurrection the holy ghost as was promised fail and the church was birthed and here we are all these years later amen and god still has pentecostal power amen let me tell you something that's not a denomination that's a truth he can still bless as he did on the day of pentecost and i believe we're going to see god do some glorious things in our midst couple of announcements that i want to give and just before we go into our time of giving so prepare your heart your mind and your hands for a time of being benevolent and generous with the work of the lord but uh let me just say uh in the morning we're moving men's bible study to wednesday this week uh the bus leaves out tonight about 11 o'clock and so i'll be on the road to flint hill and i'm going to be up there in virginia preaching tomorrow night and we have had a lot of calls about that because on the description we put in their deliverance which is not something that i take on the road it's not something that we do in most churches and so a lot of people show up at meetings expecting us to do deliverance which we don't do uh only because there's a lot of churches that aren't where we are with it but tomorrow night we will be taking some of my family we will be having some of our team on the bus and we will be doing deliverance tomorrow night there'll be a mini mass deliverance service and so for all those people that keep calling the office yes we met what we said uh in the event meme all right and so speaking of deliverance tonight like my wife said six o'clock don't be late please do not be later than 6 15 because you won't be able to get in the door and we hate to be a jerk about that but you've got to get in the teaching it's very important so be here tonight hang out all day in the parking lot if you have to things will get stirring under the tent about five o'clock we'll start promptly at six o'clock and sometimes we'll give you about a five minute window and use the restroom all that beforehand then get in here and uh let's go to work amen getting some freedom in the lord jesus christ and so do not miss out on that tonight how many of you are here this weekend for the service tonight just so i can kind of i know we have a lot of people that come in afterwards stick your hand up all over the room if you're gonna be here tonight oh wonderful yes it's gonna be a beautiful service tonight will be week 15 15 consecutive sunday nights that we've had mass deliverance and it's been beautiful every single week it seems to get better and better and better as papa used to say it just gets gooder and gooder amen and so it'll be gooder and gooder tonight so don't miss out on that and it's going to be beautiful don't forget next sunday of course whenever we have a special guest i always preach because we have so many people come in from around the country and i always tell people i never miss sunday so we always give a special guest about 20 minutes or so during the midst of the worship next week we have elizabeth johnston the activist mommy is going to be with us under the team she has fought everybody you can imagine in the last number of years she got uber viral and super famous on social media when she fought teen vogue when they went full blown pornographic she's been fighting the whole lgbtq acronym nonsense and she is a warrior against abortion and you are not going to want to miss out on what she has to say she has been helping sex trafficking victims and domestic abuse victims for many years and she has a massive sprawling ministry and she's going to be here next week speaking under the tent for about 20 minutes and so we want to be a good blessing to her don't miss out on that the following week on father's day we have mike lindell mr my pillow is going to be in the house sharing his conversion testimony and talking about whatever the lord tells him to talk about i told him you don't have to shy away from politics around here we know the election was stolen so we appreciate mr my fella amen and so he's going to be here on the 19th and yes not only is going to be shipping a bunch of books he's giving away but he said he will stay as long as he needs to to shake every hand and and take pictures and all of that he's not one of these in and out jet setters he really does love the people that follow him and have given him a platform and so mike lindell will be here on the 19th and that is going to be a beautiful beautiful time and so please do not miss out on that i know we got a lot of folks that will be coming in for that but we just want to give now but we want to be faithful to our giving to the work of the lord and our tithes and our offerings next week we will be taking a special offering for elizabeth johnson the activist mommy and her ministry and they've really been going through a lot lately and the enemy has come against them and attacked them and in many many ways financially being one of them and so next week we'll have a come forward offering as we do sometimes and we'll we'll bless her socks off course my glendale comes absolutely for free he wouldn't charge a church for anything and that's the way it ought to be done amen and so but today we just want to sow into the house we want to give into the house we're finishing up everything that we need to from last week's offering uh we put the deposit down on the two buildings that we need for the for the global vision academy isn't that exciting about our homeschool network that is amazing and uh we we found the exact great big huge megaplex playground the whole the installation the little rubbery mat thingamajob stuff that they can play around on and fall off and not get hurt and so we got all of that in the plans and so that's going to be beautiful so this is just kind of a follow-up to all of that so today we're just blessing the houses our normal offering normal giving yesterday day before yesterday actually we were able to bless all of our missionaries it's amazing to me that we are three times past where we wished we would have been this time last year just able to bless our missionaries and sow into them church planters pastors missionaries evangelists church planting ministries organizations that are rescuing people out of sex trafficking and so on and so forth and so it's been a blessing to be able to give to them and so i just want you to give today let's be faithful of in-house and online globalvisionbc.com our folks are always so faithful to give and to mail in money and people around the world that have never even been here one time give just as faithfully as every person that visits here on a very regular basis and i want to say this i'm going to pray and we're going to go into the to the ministry of the offering because offering is a ministry this is worship we're giving to the lord not because he owns a little bit but because he owns all of it and we just give a percentage back to him and you can't out give the lord luke 6 38 philippians 4 19. but while we're taking the offering monica and the band are going to lead us in another song and we're going to stand we're going to worship i think there's a tag on the end of this song and so it'll go a little longer and i need it to go a little longer and so you guys just sing till i'm done because as soon as i pray my wife and i are going to get with a couple of security guys we're going to hop on the uh the golf cart and this is the day that i'm going to go down to the children's wing and they're expecting pastor locke to come in and pray over those kiddos today amen so i'm going to go honor our children jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me for of such as the kingdom of god and so i'm going to go down there and just just see them for a few minutes and just let them know that we love them let all those volunteers and those workers down there know how much we appreciate them there's a room i mean the whole church down there is just full of a bunch of little kids and uh you're welcome to go stay with a whole service down there if you want to do it but it's just full of a bunch of little kids i never would have imagined that our entire church auditorium one day would be obsolete for our worship and completely perfect for children's worship amen and so that's beautiful to watch what the lord has done and so we're going to slip down there really just for a few moments we won't be gone long and i told him we're just going to go down there and pray for them and uh and and i think one of the main guys down there that's working with the kids wants to have an arm wrestling contest with the pastor in front of all the kids so i'm gonna whoop some tail for a few minutes and come back up here and uh and preach the word of god amen so let's pray father bless this offering lord we do thank you for our children's ministry it's growing it's sprawling we appreciate that thank you for the hard work thank you for this school lord wow it's getting off the ground we're super excited about that and so i pray our people would get amped up in-house and online around the world help us purchase the rest of those buildings and everything that goes with it lord everything that we need for this great big sprawling play set for these young people or what a blessing that's going to be thank you for expansion on the campus thank you for what you're doing in this tent thank you lord for the privilege to give to bless the orphans to bless the widows to bless the homeless to bless lord everybody around this nation and the entire globe little did we know 16 years ago that when we prophetically called this place global vision you would not just give us a vision for the globe you would give us a platform to the entire world and we thank you for that so lord we preach we teach we pray we baptize we see captive set free through the ministry of deliverance and it's not just happening in the campus cathedral it's happening around the world because of the voice that you have given us and we are humbled and grateful for that so bless this offering release us in the spirit of generosity lord as we worship you today may we worship you in spirit and in truth because that is who you are seeking bless the teaching of the word of god and father we want you honored and we want you glorified in the mighty name of jesus and all of god's people said all right god bless you as you give ((music playing)) ((music playing)) i'm calling on the ((music playing)) is ((music playing)) is ((music playing)) ((music playing)) is ((music playing)) holy spirit ((music playing)) you i will is ((music playing)) is let us is ((music playing)) foreign is is ((music playing)) ((music playing)) is to be ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) is ((music playing)) is we're calling on the holy on the spirit spirit come on he's in this place ((music playing)) the holy spirit ((music playing)) we come boldly ((music playing)) the holy spirit came and he moved like he has never moved before and i believe we're living in a time where he's moving like we haven't seen him move in a long time do you believe that come on church it with me ((music playing)) ((music playing)) oh ((music playing)) ((music playing)) is ((music playing)) hopefully to be overcome ((music playing)) amen and amen you may be seated all over the house praise the lord what a beautiful song and let it be said holy spirit you are welcome here amen the bible says when the holy spirit shows up he'll exalt the lord jesus and so wherever you have the holy spirit you'll have the worship of jesus christ jesus said if i'm lifted up i'll draw all men unto me that was prophetically fulfilled on the cross but it's still practically being worked out every day if we lift up the lord jesus i promise you there's still power in the name of the lord jesus he still draws people by the holy ghost to himself and jesus said he she they whoever they are that comes unto me i will in no wise cast them out you won't say the wrong thing you won't pray the wrong prayer and you can never out sin the grace of the gospel of jesus christ because no matter what depths you go to the depths are not as deep as the depths of the love and mercy and forgiveness of almighty god thank god for that amen that's why they call guys like me a pastor because my job is to put your past where it belongs behind you quit thinking about what you used to be and start rejoicing in who you are now because of the gospel of jesus christ your windshield is way bigger than your rear view mirror because you ain't going backwards amen you're going forwards so quit looking behind you and accept the forgiveness that god has given you and then just forgive yourself and rock on and watch what god's going to do in your life amen second chapter of the book of acts if you turn there please you can't have pentecost sunday and not talk about the historical significance of the day and the miracle of pentecost acts chapter number two is where we're going to be it's a lengthy chapter we won't get through its entirety in a moment when we read the text together and stand out of reverence we'll actually go towards the end of this chapter and we'll read it we're going to get the conclusionary results we'll get the production of what happened because of pentecost and then lord willing will actually be able to get back to that but i won't make any promises because that's why i want to read the last of it at the beginning in case this turns into a series because there's a lot that happened before this on the preparation of the power of pentecost and you can say anything that you want to you can laugh you can sneer you can criticize i was on the other side for a very very long time and always shied away from this passage of scripture and i say no more ladies and gentlemen the power of the holy spirit is just as real today as it has been since he failed 2000 years ago on the day of pentecost and there is power in the holy spirit and we cannot deny that reality i want to show you that from the text today acts chapter 2 stand with me please had a reverence for the reading of god's word we're going to go all the way to the end of the chapter verse number 40 is where we'll take our text we'll read through the end of the chapter to verse 47 just in case we're not able to get back because we're about to go back to verse number one and we're going to lay some groundwork for what i believe god's going to do to continue this revival that we are experiencing and never get used to what god's doing around this place he gets all the honor he gets all the glory this is the lord's doing it is marvelous in our eyes amen acts chapter 2 verse 40. and with many other words that he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this untoward generation then they that gladly received his word were baptized in the same day they were added unto them about three thousand souls and they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers and fear came upon every soul and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles and all that believed were together and had all things coming and they sold their possessions and goods and parted them to all men as every man had need and they continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart praising god and having favor with all the people and the lord added to the church daily such as should be saved and today we're going to talk from this text on the power of pentecost you may be seated father bless the word of god to our hearts lord i pray that we would be eager hungry people for the truth of the text of god's word so have your will and weigh in this place and we give you full operational authority to mess up our plans and show us the glory of god in jesus name and all of god's people said so in acts chapter 2 you have the prophetic prediction and fulfillment both in one chapter of what jesus said to the disciples terry wait be patient in jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high now i want to say this based on chapter number one which we're not going to read in chapter 1 of the book of acts in verse 8 he said ye shall it was coming ye shall receive power after that the holy ghost has come upon you now how do you know that words in the bible mean something every word of god is for our learning and admonition the word power in acts 1 8 is the word dunamis in the greek from where we get our word dynamite and you better know when the holy ghost shows up boom things start exploding for the right reasons and so he said the power is going to come upon you so wait in jerusalem in the upper room until it happens now here's what's interesting there's a lot of people whether they be of the baptist or the pentecostal or the church of god you name the flavor of the month denominationally that have been taught that we still have to tarry that we still have to wait there's only one time that god said i want you to tarry and i want you to wave until you be endued in chapter one they waited in chapter 2 it was worth the wait they got the power of the holy spirit that was predicted in john 14 15 and 16 and today we're not waiting today god's waiting to activate us so that we will believe the truth that the holy spirit has come and he's not going anywhere anytime soon i used to think to myself well because pentecost was a one-time historical event and it was i won't theologically minimize that that god doesn't move the same way are you kidding me the day of pentecost is a pattern for how the church is still supposed to operate it's not our fault that the average preacher is dry as cracker juice and churches are colder than our mother-in-law's kiss and nobody's getting saved and the baptism of waters are full of christmas decorations it's time the church rises up and says enough is enough we're going to believe what the bible says we're going to believe in miracles signs and wonders because the holy spirit is not dead everybody shouts when you say jesus is alive but everybody pouts when you say the holy spirit ain't dead he's still very much alive and moving in our churches i'm going to make one statement and then go to chapter two buckle in hold up i used to be a strict cessationist meaning by that all the gifts ceased the only problem is that's a non-defensible argument from the bible people say well you know the bible don't say that they stopped but it never says that they continue that is absolutely ridiculous yes it continues and yes god still has gifts for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of christ and if you don't believe that god's still speaking to his people you're a bible denier there is no doubt about that fact so i'm going to say something i know the word cessationism is a big word it's a big word but let me explain something to you cessationism is a damnable doctrine it is heresy to say that the gifts have ceased it is absolute heresy to say that the holy spirit is no longer working in his holy church because the church ain't holy without the holy spirit and let me remind you holy is his name spirit is his operation and the church can't be holy without the holy spirit and if that phrase scares you the book calls him holy ghost so boo on you casper ((applause)) so to say that the gifts have ceased is something that you cannot defend with the bible and since we already had a demon debate we'll just go ahead and put that out there there's any preacher in america that would like to debate me on that fact we got a big stage and a big platform and we'll let you do it because you can't skip it you can't the gifts have not ceased and if they have well then we're wasting our time to be here today you ought to be out on the lake somewhere because if god don't steal work i don't want no part of it if the god you serve is so small so minuscule and so tiny that he can't still raise the dead and walk on water and park the waters of the sea and bring homes back together and deliver people from demonic bondage if you're god's so small that you can explain him with your three-pound brain then i don't want to serve the god that you serve but i don't serve a dead jew in a palestinian tomb i serve a risen savior that sent the holy ghost abroad in our hearts declaring the truth of the gospel and there's still power in the local church because the power comes from the holy ghost ((applause)) so praise be unto god for the bible the bible will set you free so they were waiting in this upper room about 120 of them they were anticipating a move of god they had one apostle that went the way of the dodo and hung himself and so they had to cast lots the lot fell upon a guy named matthias they had to fulfill the role of the 12 apostles and so they put him in now they're all sitting up there tarrying waiting because jesus said when i go to the father the holy ghost the parakletos the paraclete is the greek word the one called alongside of you and aren't you glad he's caught alongside of you he's going to come and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever i have told you so they're all there waiting with baited breath like kids being fed cotton candy like little birds in an ass feeding me feed me they're waiting what's going to happen well i'm going to show you what did happen chapter 2 and verse 1. and when the day of pentecost say pentecost again it means 50 50 days after the resurrection something happened and by the way hop on a jumbo jet go to jerusalem the tomb is still empty and because the tomb is still empty pentecost is still a worthy subject that we need to take up today in this church and when the day of pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord notice that they were in one accord that didn't mean they were sitting around smoking in a honda in the parking lot it means they were in one accord they were getting along there was unity in the body and they were in one place what place the place god said go and wait and suddenly i love that word in the book of acts it literally has the the idea and the connotation that no matter what prayers you pray no matter what plans you make no matter what operations you put in place god can show up and wreck your plans anytime that he wants to i'm glad that i pastor a suddenly church that the lord can take over any time that he wants to and suddenly there came a sound something they could hear this was something that affected the senses it wasn't just spiritual it was physical suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind sounded like a locomotive was coming through the room and it filled all the house where they were sitting let me tell you something rooms even this big are much too small to contain the presence of god when he starts moving it filled the whole house it filled up the whole campus and it created in them a desire an anticipation now watch this verse number three and there appeared unto them now this is like on the top of their head clothing tongues like as a fire the the blue flame as it were was flickering above their head you say where the life you're foolish to believe that oh no bucko you're foolish not to it's what the bible says they were actual physical literal you could look at them flames of fire on top of their head because god showed up and the people became combustible with the power of god and there were clothing tongues of fire on all of them verse four check this out and they were all filled that's twice that phrase is used filled with the holy ghost and because of that began to speak with other tongues and here's the description of that as the spirit gave them utterance now let me tell you something that is unbelievably important about why god did that and he's going to be very careful in his language studies with us to help us to understand the difference between a spoken language because that's what happened when peter began to preach 18 different nationalities heard the word of god in their own language and then what we would call a prayer language or praying in the spirit both of them are legitimate there was a day i would have denied the reality of that and called myself a heretic for even saying it but they are different in their description in the context that makes sense now i want to show you something a minute that's very important watch this verse 5. and there were dwelling at jerusalem jews devout men so we're talking about some religious individuals they knew the law they knew what was going on with moses out of every nation under heaven so this was a very eclectic group we know of 18 nationalities and languages that are going to be named here just in the context so a lot of people various backgrounds various skin tones and colors various lifestyles i mean there was a lot of people here and watch what happens verse six now when this was noised abroad because without social media word even traveled fast the multitude came together and were confounded because that every man check it out heard them speak in his own language and they were all amazed say amazed to me it is worth noting what the bible doesn't say it doesn't say and they were all amused it says and they were all amazed and there is a difference the american church has become nothing more than a glorified amusement park if the lights are right if the music's loud enough if there's the as we say fog machines big screens and skinny jeans and apparently the lord's going to move in and do something amazing and it's all about the amusement aspect we got to have disneyland on ice for the kids because if we don't have the greatest and the biggest and the best then people aren't going to come are you kidding me we have a tent that's nicer than a lot of buildings that people spent 10 million dollars on with cedar chips on the floor and if baptized four thousand converts in a horse trough to god be the glory great things he had done you ain't got to have fancy when you've got god show up and show out in a big way and so the bible says that they were amazed they weren't just there for entertainment value i know sometimes i say things that are seen to be rather entertaining that's not the point i know sometimes i can tell a joke because if i can make you laugh now i can stick you later and you don't even know it see so i i get getting the crowd riled up and getting you on your feet and getting you to clapping but this is not for the purpose of amusement because i could really care less if you like my preaching or not as we say often there's no seat belts in here nobody drug you here nobody made you show up you know i heard a man say one time when i was a kid i had a massive drug problem he said my mama drug me to sunday school she drugged me to morning service she drugged me to sunday night she drugged me to win you have that kind of drug problem amen but i'm not having you here for the purpose of amusement i don't care if you get the feels or not i want you to see the amazing work of god and the bible does not say that they were amused at what they saw it says they were amazed at what they saw and they marveled saying one to another check this out behold are not all these which speak galileans these are people that we know we went to high school with these people we know what their ethnic background is they're galileans and here's the miracle verse eight and how here we every man in our own tongue wherein we were born here's something a lot of people never pay attention to theologically and it's like the biggest exclamation part point in our face in the whole text and nobody ever talks about do you know why god decided to do this because the first time tongues are ever mentioned in the bible it was a judgment from god remember the tower of babel god said these people all speak one language they are of one heart one soul and one mind because of that god said we must go down and confound their languages so that they cannot understand one another and they will naturally because of that be dispersed and by the way it was the confounding of the languages that caused the disbursement for the beginning of various races that is a biblical fact if it's ever been taught because we are all of one blood acts chapter 17 says there's only one race and it's the human race i care not what is did he do it he didn't make tongues of judgment he brought in tongues as a blessing and every man heard the word of god in his own language and what the enemy means for evil god almighty means for good and you better know god turned that whole thing around in one moment in one moment in the fulfillment of prophecy but then go on they're going to name the nationalities that were there that heard the word of god parthians and medes elamites the dwellers in mesopotamia and in judah and cappadocia and pontius and asia nigerian pamphilia in egypt in the parts of libya about cyrene and strangers of rome jews and prophets proselytes cretes and arabians we do hear them speak in our tongues they were shocked by that the wonderful works of god you know what made it even more of a miracle not that they could just hear in their own language but what was being said in their own language these people were hearing the wonderful works of god they were hearing the gospel they were hearing about the mighty miracles they were hearing that there is only one way to the kingdom and it's not through your jewish tradition it's through the blood of the lamb of god jesus christ and they heard these wonderful works and verse 12 says and they were all here's the word again amazed pay attention to those words we're just doing some teaching today and they were all amazed we're in doubt some of them are like wow this is too good to be true this is too much of a mighty movement are you kidding me what's going on here and we would all be that way saying one to another what meaneth this but what's going on what are we seeing what are we feeling what are we hearing and a lot of times when people think something is new they automatically downgrade it that's what's wrong by the way if there's anything wrong with the ministry of casting out devils people say man that lock crew over there at global vision they're crazy what kind of new doctrine are they you know that's the exact same thing the church crowd said about jesus the first time he cast out a devil what new doctrine is this he said there's no new doctrine been around for a long time but now you have power to do it through the name of the lord jesus and when people sense something new they automatically discount now i understand the fact ecclesiastes said there's nothing new under the sun if it's new it's not true if it's true it's not new but at the end of the day a lot of times we think something is new because we haven't been told the truth about it it's been around for a long time so peter's going to step up and he's going to give them a stern admonition he's going to preach to them but watch what happens before he does in verse 13 others mocking see there's a difference in healthy doubt and critical mockery these people began to mock they began to hold up their signs and they said these men are full of new wine look at these bunch of drunkards look at these bunch of babbling stumbling about idiots they're full of liquor this isn't a miracle of god this is a manifestation of the devil and they began to mock and you better know something when god's working there'll always be mockers but psalm chapter 2 says why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing the kings of the earth have set themselves together against the lord and against his anointing to cut off their bans asunder they say to themselves let us cut them off quickly he that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh the lord shall have them in derision so laugh now but i'm telling you god's going to get the last laugh one day ((applause)) the bible says he will mock when their fear and calamity cometh now that's not in your precious moments bible study is it they can mock him now god gets the last laugh and god will be the final one to mock in eternity and the bible says that others began to mock and they said well these men are full of new wine they're just drunk check this out verse 14. but peter boy you got to like him and let me tell you one of the reasons i do like him he's about to preach the most historical sermon on record outside of the sermon on the mount matthew 5 6 and 7 which we've explicitly gone through he's going to preach the most historical famous sermon on the planet on the planet and 47 days earlier he denied jesus or 53 days earlier he denied jesus and cussed him cussed him said blankety blanketed like i don't even know who the guy is and then all this time later he's like well i'm going to jump up on a hickory stump on my back like a baby rooster i'm gonna preach to last days it's interesting that god called the last days 2 000 years ago do you know when the last day started when the holy ghost failed on the day of pentecost that's when the last days because a day where the lord's a thousand years a thousand years as a day and god doesn't work on your day planner schedule he doesn't work on your iphone schedule it's gonna come to pass in the last days saith god notice not saith joel or saith peter they were quoting god saith god i will pour out of my spirit that is capital s and guess what that is old testament that he's quoting he said you don't know him yet but the capital s holy ghost is going to show up and god is going to pour out of his spirit on all flesh and it began on this historical day 2000 years ago 50 days after the resurrection it's to come to pass verse 17 in the last days saith god i will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh not just pour out upon a select group i'm not just going to do it for the baptist i'm not just going to do it for the pentecostals i'm not just going to do it for the non-denomination i'm going to pour out my spirit on all of them because the kingdom of god and the kingdom of darkness don't give two flips of a wooden nickel over your denominational name on the sign of your church ((music playing)) god don't care what you grew up god does not care what tagline your church goes by if it don't preach the bible it's rotten to the core anyhow it don't matter what denomination it is and denomination is nothing more than a man-made way to cause division in the body of christ and that's the they did not see before don't you tell me god ain't speaking to his church now if your vision your dream and your miracle contradicts the bible you can keep it but if it goes along with what we already know in the holy word of god then i'm here to tell you god still gives a word of wisdom god still gives a word of knowledge he still speaks to his children and you can serve some weak god that don't speak but that ain't no better than an idol because you know what the bible says about them idols they have eyes they see not they have ears they hear not they have feet they walk not they have hands they work not i've got a god that can see that can walk that can hear that can work he's still alive and he's still speaking to his children i love this verse 18 and on my servants and on my handmaidens notice that he did not say on the seminary degreed graduates he said not just on simple people on the servants god's going to show up on the handmaids god's going to show up jason the affirmative prophesy here's what's interesting that nobody wants to uh acknowledge in first corinthians 12 in romans 12 and in ephesians chapter four you have the ministry gifts the manifestation gifts and the motivational gifts gifts which vary based on the level of discernment the holy spirit gives you but here's what's interesting in all three of those giftings that god gives the church the gift of prophecy is the only one that's mentioned all three times in all three categories so quit listening to these nonsensical cessationists that tell you god can't give you a word based off of his word because three times in every gift he talked about those that had the discerning gift of a prophetic voice that comes from god so be very careful what you call ungodly that comes from god himself and i'm not claiming to have it myself i'm just sick of people trying to use some nonchalant lackadaisical lazy man's way out and say well you know we have the entirety of the bible so god don't speak anymore hey the heavens declare the glory of god and the firmament show of this handy word romans chapter 1 and verse 20. if they didn't even have a bible the bible says the whole world's without excuse because even the heavens tell you there's a god that one day you have to reckon with and he said they're going to prophesy now here's what's going to happen in the next couple of verses this is what we call theologically i'm not trying to impress you i'm slowing down i'm teaching today i'm just trying to shepherd you this is what we call the law of double reference it means god references two things a double instance in the same passage really in the same breath so he just talked about from joel pentecost is going to happen it happened but then he talks about something that has nothing to do with pentecost and something by the way that has not even remotely happened yet but it's in the same breath and then he ties them together with the same conclusion watch this verse 19 and i will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath blood and fire and vapor of smoke the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before say before that great and notable day of the lord come let me say something none of that as of yet has happened pentecost is history now it was prophetic at one time now it's history this is still prophetic it ain't happened yet it will as sure as it's written in the word but here's what god does he says one day there will be a day of pentecost that day happened he said this is that fulfillment but he continues to talk about what comes next about something that has not even remotely historically happened yet accurately it will but it's not here yet but notice how he ties the two events together verse 21 and it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the lord shall be saved my question is why do we still believe here's a big word dispensationally why do we still believe that that verse is true but we deny the reality of the ones that we just read because everybody would say yes in the last days whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved well when are the last days they began on pentecost when will they end when the sun is darkened and the moon is turned to blood but in both the time of the practicality of pentecost and the time that we are waiting for all of this to transpire in the tribulation there's still one response whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved which by the way is a transliterated word from joel 2 13 he said in the last days whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be delivered so put that in your pipe and smoke it real good on sunday delivered which would tell me that the effective results of the holy spirit on the day of pentecost will not end until the last days are fulfilled by god himself and to say that we can no longer see the same results that they saw is an absolute historical and prophetic denial of what god clearly just taught in the bible and if you can't see that it's because you are facebooking right now not paying attention what i'm telling you it cannot be any more theologically plain it will not end until this happens that's why in both joel and in acts he deals with the law of double reference here's when it starts here's when it ends we know it started but we also know that it's not ended yet and because it's not ended yet who in the wild world are we to stand up on our holier-than-thou denominational high horse and say well god worked that way then but he no longer works that way now you're a bible denier you're a bible denier and there was a time that i was a fancy preaching bible denier got quiet on that didn't it oh i didn't mean to be i was taught to be you see you have to be taught bad theology i was on a podcast the other day in the studio and i told him i said let me tell you something if you take away any outside source from somebody's life let's say somebody that's ignorant as a brick to the bible right they've never been exposed to any denomination of any kind at all and they're probably a very peaceful person but nonetheless if you take a person that's never denominationally known anything and they don't know jack spratt anything about the bible here's what you do if you stick them in a room by themselves feed them every day take good care of them but have no outside source no iphones no androids no no television no internet nothing no other books fiction or nonfiction nothing you put them in a room for 10 years by themselves the only contact they have is the people that come to to feed them and to let them shower and change but for 10 years you keep them absolutely secluded in a room with nothing but a bible and tell them to start reading it you know what happened after 10 years when they come out of that room they would be born again non-denominational conservative and believe in deliverance somebody shout amen right there that's the facts you would never put anybody in a room for 10 years have them walk out and say well you know i'm a strict cessationist i can't see where god continues to speak to anybody i don't believe in that deliverance nonsense are you kidding me i'm a i'm a leftist whatever that is and i'm for abortion and i'm what you put somebody in a room that has not been contaminated by you me or anybody else that you grew up listening to and when they walk out they would be a bible believing individual one thousand percent saved by god's grace believe what the bible says and thank you and i that he preached talked a little bit about the crucifixion but a lot a bit about the resurrection because from pentecost forward you will notice that there's a shift in the preaching and the shift is they pay homage to jesus dying but they theologically continue to unpackage the fact that we don't serve a dead jew in a palestinian tomb we serve a risen savior and in the book of acts it's the 80 20 principle they 20 talk about his death they 80 talk about his life because without his life you're still dead ((music playing)) so he basically jumps up on the hickory stump and he says now i hate to be the bearer of bad news but i got to tell y'all y'all killed the messiah now i can say that down south and nobody raises an eyebrow you say that in jerusalem to a bunch of jews them fighting words meet together like this and guess what we found we found that the closer we get to the coming of jesus the more we listen to what some buckwild demonized government tells us over what the bible teaches us and that's why churches have shut down by the tens of thousands all over america you say well most of them are open now yeah they never should have closed to begin with so the only thing splitting the congregation oh no they had all things common and they sold their possessions and goods people sold their stuff this happens again in chapter five they sold their possessions and goods and they parted them to all men as every man had a need you talk about extravagant generosity these people sold their stuff to make sure other people in the church had groceries to eat acts five four and five actually talk about they sold their houses and lands they didn't sell their comic book and hot wheel collection they sold their houses and lands to make sure other people in the church were well taken care of first of which in chapter six was the widows and the orphans because pure religion and undefiled is this that you visit the fatherless and their affliction and you take care of widows that are widows indeed james says and the church has forgotten about that principle of generosity and i speak to the choir because this one's not forgotten about it because we bless them in the name of the lord jesus every single week of our ministry they sold their stuff they blessed each other this was the result of pentecost which still should be the result today so maybe if a church is stingy and they don't look out one for another it's because what they need is an infusement of the holy spirit from the day of pentecost amen quit with all these rules and regulations and vote on this and vote on that and start saying we're going to let god show up and turn this place upside down for the glory of god that's what we need we need an invasion of god's holy spirit in our churches and they that's the same people that got saved got baptized and did all this verse 46 and they continuing daily they did this every day of their life not just every night again not just once on sunday and maybe on wednesday no every day and they continuing daily with one accord in the temple breaking bread from house to house they worshiped in each other's living rooms they couldn't even get enough god revival breaking bread from house to house they did eat their meat with gladness notice they weren't grumpy they weren't complaining they weren't bickering they weren't fighting no they had gladness i say i do not believe contextually that that means they were only having favor with the people in the church i believe the people in the church had favor with people in the community because the world looked upon them and said wow what do they have that we do not what must we do to be saved and have what they've got you say well we just don't see that these days right because we don't live out what we've got we're trying to convince the world they need something that we don't even act like we like it's like a fat man selling diet pills he better be losing some weight for greg locked by if we're such poor stewards and testimonies of the grace of god that we can try to tell the world this is what you need when they clearly look at us and say well why do i need it because you don't live like you do they had favor with all the people now watch this and we're done and the lord not and the church not and the pastor not in the charismatic preacher not in the you know denominational hierarchy the seminary no the lord the lord the lord it was god that did the adding and i do believe this is beautiful and worth notation this is the last time god ever added to the church you know what happens after this he multiplies every time he says right here i'm going to add but then exponentially the thing started growing so quick by the time you get to chapter 13 there's 25 to 30 000 people meeting in homes all over jerusalem and he went from adding to multiplication adding to multiplication and the lord added to the church daily not just weekly or monthly man i get excited when somebody gets saved every week right but daily such as those that were being saved he added them every day to the church so in closing we have to ask ourselves the question wow i mean historically dogmatically this is the day of pentecost still being played out to this very moment i believe to the core of who i am didn't always but do now certainly but the question is why did he keep adding to that church now why not split them off and you know go to samaria go somewhere else i mean he promised acts 1 8 gonna go to all these places why keep adding to that one it was already big right i mean 3 000 people got saved in one day that's a big church that's from that's from 120 to 3 000 in a sermon that's some preaching right there 120 to 3 120 in one sermon you think we baptized 30 40 50 60 people a weekend it took a long time baptized 3 000 folks they didn't even have elders and deacons yet not until chapter 6 halfway through the chapter and so the question is why did god keep adding to that congregation and we'll tell you why because they were good stewards of what god already gave them you know why god gave them more people because we clearly just saw the results of what they were already doing with the people god gave them you know why god kept giving them more houses more lands more resources because they were already faithful with the houses and the lands and the resources and i say it so often god's not looking for a church that he can bless he's looking for a church that he can trust because when he trusts us he will bless us he will have absolutely no problem blessing the people that he trusts no problem whatsoever so i say this and we conclude there'll come a day in the future i know not when it is and neither do you there come a day that somebody will say did you hear pastor locke graduated heaven i like what d.o moody said when you read in the newspaper that d.o moody has died don't you believe a word of it because i'll be more alive than i've ever been in my whole life but there'll be a day that of all the obituaries in the thousands to be numbered that i have done through 30 years of preaching there'll be a day that someone will give a reading of my obituary someone will say in the newspaper that crazy hate-mongering fool that we hated so much he's gone he's gone ding-dong the witch is dead and how they will rejoice that day will come when i do not know but i'm gonna tell you something when my casket is brought to the front of the tent notice i said that because we're gonna be in this tent a long time ((applause)) and people begin to stand in line and my wife and youngins are standing by my lifeless body hopefully crying a lot there'll be a lot of people that come by and say a lot of dangerful things about pastor locke there'll be some people that'll show up and won't say beautiful things show up with protest signs right but at the end of the day here's what i want you to know about your pastor about gregor dwayne locke and all the things that both the church and religious and political world media think about me one way or the other regardless it doesn't matter i sleep well at night when people come by and they see my wife and my kids you know what i could really care less if any of you or any of them say wow he sure had a lot of followers on social media i don't care if my kids remember that about me or not this caused more trouble than anything else i could care less if somebody walks up to one of my kids and says wow your your daddy was a fast talking man i'm telling you he could have he could have sold cars i've been an auctioneer i hear that everywhere i go i don't care if my kids remember that about me i don't care if somebody looks at my wife and kids and say my goodness most hated pastor in america do you see those thousands and thousands of newspaper articles written about him my mama what a bold man i could care less if my kids remember one paper i've been in i don't care how big the tent is or how big the tent gets because it's getting bigger more people are coming it's gonna be a big summer i don't want my kids to remember that that'll not be the legacy of my home to my wife and children but i hope i hope i hope at least one person can hug my wife and kids and with honesty and sincerity look them in the face and say god bless your daddy because god trusted your daddy god bless your husband because god trusted your husband and i'm not interested in being blessed i'm interested in being trusted because when god finds a man he can trust he's found a man he will bless may we be that church in jesus name shout amen ((applause)) amen so um i was really excited for today hallelujah i'm excited for sunday all the time but i really feel in my spirit that you know there's just a miracle in the works right now and i mean like miracles upon miracles upon miracles so that's what i want to do today if you're believing god for a miracle in your life no matter what that looks like whether it's healing whether it's deliverance whether it's financially whether it's with your kids whatever that may look like if you're believing god for a miracle in the house can you just slip your hand up for me miracles upon miracles upon miracles this is what i want to do today ((music playing)) we're going to go to the throne room of heaven but before we do i just want to speak on behalf of myself and everyone else in the tent that says lord we believe but help our unbelief right now because i believe in this place today in this moment that there is a miracle for you i believe that there's healing for you today i believe there's restoration for you i believe there's financial blessing for you and your family i believe that i believe that just as sure as i'm standing right here today because we serve the god of miracles so as we approach the throne room today the lord knows the miracle that you need from him i would just ask that you would go with the belief that god actually can and actually will move on your behalf because we serve the same god yesterday today and forever he's still the god that raises the dead he's still the god that makes the lame walk and the death hear and the dumb speak he still still brings water from a rock he can still part the red sea in your life and you can still walk through on dry ground right now today today in this place because where there seems to be no way we serve a god that makes a way so today we're gonna go to the throne room with the belief that there's a miracle in this place that revival has hit god's people not just the church building but the church the very temple of god where he resides the holy spirit the resurrected power of christ within you and i believe today that you're going to see a miracle i believe god's going to restore your health today i truly do so let's go to the throne room together and believe god lord we come to you right now in the name that is above every name the name of the lord jesus and lord i can't help but think that right after the passage in acts 2 today lord in acts 3 peter he healed a lame man in your name they had laid them outside the gate called beautiful for so long lord and peter comes by and that man he got up and walked and father lord we're believing you right now for restoration of health in people's lives lord lord because we know that you are jehovah rapha you are our healer you are enough for us lord right here in this moment lord would you release healing over your people god this is the season of miracles it has been prophesied time and time and time again lord so lord we say do it again right now right here in this place lord lord would you do it again would you move on behalf of your people today in this place god in this moment lord lord would you call prodigals home to you right now in this moment lord god would you heal people right now in this moment lord god because we're not just asking lord we are believing we're believing that right now in this place that the holy power of the anointed one the holy one of israel is pouring out amongst your people right now in this place lord and lord we lift you on high right now father the exalted one the holy one of heaven our good shepherd lord you are jehovah jarrah you are our provider and lord you are providing for your people right here in this moment daily bread from heaven you said you're gonna give your children daily bread from heaven lord lord would you give us this day our daily bread thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven thy kingdom come right here in this place lord right here in this place let your kingdom come open up the floodgates of heaven lord pour out your spirit among your people today in this place lord god because we know that you're the god of miracles lord we're believing you for the unbelievable right now in this moment because lord we know that all of your promises are yes and amen they are yes and amen father and lord we thank you that we can come to you and we can stand on the authority of your word god lord that we can say in this place in this place right now that the lame can walk that the death can hear that captives can be delivered through the power of the name of the lord jesus and father we thank you for that name lord we thank you for who you are the alpha and the omega the beginning and the end the one who is and was and is to come the author and finisher of our faith the fountain of living waters our bridegroom lord we thank you for that lord you are our shallow you are our mediator our messiah our good shepherd the name above every name that at the name of jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that he is lord to the glory of god the father lord be glorified in this place lord we praise you and we worship you we honor you father in the presence of the savior in the throne room where the veil has been torn the throne room that we can boldly approach at any time the secret place of the most high lord bring us into the secret place of the most high right now lord lord that even for those that are sitting and they're saying within themselves lord i believe but help my unbelief lord take them into the secret place right now with you in your presence where everything changes everything changes in your presence change us right now lord minister right now lord lord send ministering angels to your children right now exactly where they are god you know their need you know the heartache lord you know the struggles with their health the struggles in their marriage the struggles with their children lord send ministering angels right now to your people lord because we believe in the principle of bonding and loosing so lord loose blessing among your people today loose healing in your people today lord lose your presence loose a fresh wind and a fresh fire to your people today lord lord send your people the baptism of fire today lord and lord we thank you for
