it's prayer that breaks down chains it's prayer that paves the way it's prayer and intercession that sees our family being saved and the captives set free it's through prayer ((music playing)) that he is moving it's through prayer that we're even in this tent today ((music playing)) and when he moves and when we pay we're still ((music playing)) is moving tonight ((music playing)) is ((music praise hallelujah worship the lord tonight glory to god you may be seated thank you for being here tonight for wednesday evening our time of communion and prayer and worship and gathering around the word of the lord i'm looking forward to giving you some word i know the students are excited about their time in the word and i'm just i don't know i'm just cranked up about what the lord's doing around this place amen it just seems like every week things get better and better and better you always know you're on the right track look when you get attacked when things happen you just know you're doing right there's a lot of churches they don't understand the principle of being attacked because there's really no reason to attack them right but man when a church comes out of a lukewarm state and they're getting revival and awakening is happening and people are being set free and deliverance is going on you can know people are going to talk things are going to happen people going to get stirred up but you know why they're stirred up because the enemy stirred up but that just means the holy ghost is stirred up and he's he's doing something amen he said just take it for what it is ignore all that nonsense and just rock on man i'm excited i wouldn't trade this for anything a little persecution good for the soul for what ails you the bible says you know beware when all men speak well of you you can't be liked by everybody if you are be careful you better start saying something right so look just powerful of course some of them hurt a little more than others some of them cut to the quick a little more than others but that's all right everybody's got to judy's at the table so be careful who you eat with don't do this to your spouse either don't be turn around looking in the tent but uh hey it's just part of it it's par for the course you're gonna do something for god you're gonna make enemies you're gonna do something for god you're gonna upset people you're gonna be misunderstood it's just part of it but you know what we do same thing we keep doing just a whole lot more of it listen i'm more convinced now than ever about what god's doing in this church when it comes to deliverance ministry more convinced than ever we took it on the road the other night i'll be honest that's a little a little nervous i told my wife i said you know we're almost 16 weeks in and that's just mass deliverance we're you know weeks and weeks and weeks before that and regular personal deliverance but 16 weeks in so you know in your mind you're thinking man is it just a controlled environment you know we know what we're doing we know what to say the people are here nope worked in virginia just like it does here praise god exact same way you just start calling out them spirits they just start coming out just can't help it i'll tell you there's power in the name of jesus and so it's beautiful what the lord's doing so i'm excited and uh i'm more biblically new testament spiritually convinced than ever before that we are right slap in the middle of the will of god for this church and what we're doing and what we're seeing and it's just beautiful to behold the testimonies that we are receiving even today multiple testimonies that we're receiving both in-house and online and people around the world i should play you the voicemail from the pastor that we were with the other night he said what i've got going on right now is going to last till next year when you get back he said it was unbelievable you set me free set some people in our church free he said i've never felt like this i've been pastoring for a long long time i mean the pastor was over in the corner just full blown wide open wide open and i'm telling you we are just we are literally hearing and seeing of people that are being set free depression just rolling off of folks people been smoking 20 30 years ain't even touched it again anger issues out in the name of jesus right it's just unbelievable cancer being healed on multiple front homes being put back together marriage is being increased a hundred fold because you know it's something when you get rid of a spirit of abuse that you've had for a long time that makes you an individual that don't trust somebody when that comes out you'll love your spouse in a way that you've never loved them before i'm telling you it's unbelievable you ought to get everybody you can to this tent every single sunday night for mass deliverance service because it's just beautiful to behold what the lord is doing and the more people that gripe about it the more i'm convinced we ought to do more of it we gotta have a mass deliverance revival and do it like seven nights or something like that just over and over and over and over again wow it's just beautiful to behold i'm just so grateful for what the lord's doing so encouraged don't you think one second i get all these messages oh pastor we know you're just oh no i ain't i'm wide open excited amen i like it when devils expose themselves they can get on down the road praise god we can do what we need to okay do what we need to and so don't you worry about me i'm fine you'll you'll know when i'm discouraged i'll get up here my wife can cast the spirit of discouragement out of you amen or whatever but listen i'm excited i'm mashing the gas i'm moving forward this is this is the work of the lord this is the lord's do it it's marvelous in my eyes i don't care what the media says i'm cranked up i'm excited as you can tell i ain't got preaching yet we gotta have communion praise god i like having communion with you folks amen i love i love you people you know that don't you right you want to i just want you i love this church man i love this church praise god i love this church so much i'm crazy in love with this place my wife too my whole family man we just we we love this church man i get to preach in some of the greatest places on the planet but i don't stick around man i hop on that bus i'm getting home i got to get home to the peeps amen got to get home to global vision i'd rather preach in this pulpit right here more than any other coliseum filled to 50 000 people i could care less man this is this is it there's no place like this place around this place so this must be the place amen this is the place and so i just want you know i love you guys and gals i love you deeply man i'd this this one i'm gonna bury my heart right here in this tent we had a preacher from indiana show up today with some of his guys they've outgrown their bowling alley they meet in a bowling alley church amen i've been there and preached they do deliverance they've outgrown it they said we need to figure out something about a tent and they came in here some of the guys with them said man it just feels good in here with nobody even in here he's like i got the glory bumps on my arms he's like it's just it's just something about this place i said i know isn't it crazy i know i'd come to this church if i didn't pastor it i love it i love it well everybody on this side of the pole that's going to take communion start lining up over there and everybody on this side of the pole that's going to take communion start lining up over here get your juice and your bread take them back both elements then we'll read and pray together and we'll just have and rebellion asking lord that you would cleanse us lord that you would tonight reveal to us the gravity of of what we are doing right this moment this is a this is a heavy burden to bear this is not something to take lightly lord even in the same context that we're about to read you said there's many that eat and drink damnation unto themselves because they so casually and haphazardly approach the communion table of the lord but father we asked tonight that we would come before you in great humility and sincerity lord you seek those that want to have the spirit and truth so lord tonight release your spirit in this room with your truth convict us challenge us change our hearts make us more of like you and less of who we are by nature lord continue to give us power to stand having done all to stand as we put on the whole armor of god keep the enemy on the run lord keep the enemy on the run lord tonight as we partake of this juice and this bread as we represent your broken body your shed blood we thank you that you said in john 19 30 it is finished it's done it's over with you did the work that we could not do for ourselves and we are grateful for that so bless these moments that we have may they bring about communion with you from our hearts and communion and unity one with another as a body of believers in the mighty name of jesus amen and amen first corinthians 11 of course we read this every week verse 23 i have received of the lord that which also i delivered unto you that the lord jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread and when he had given thanks he break it and said take eat this is my body which is broken for you this do in remembrance of me ((music playing)) after the same manner also he took the cup when he had sucked saying this cup is the new testament in my blood this do ye as oft as you drink it in remembrance of me ((music playing)) he gives us the description for as often and for us it's every week as you eat this bread and drink this cup you do show prove test the lord's death till he come and all of god's people said amen and amen well let's just remain standing we're going to worship the lord we're going to continue to flow in what we've been doing for the last month on wednesday nights in just a few moments before we get to the word we'll dismiss our students with jesse but i want us to either come forward and pray or stand there and worship and sing but as we're worshiping tonight i want people to walk around the entirety of this tent we're just going to pray for the power of god to continue to be revealed in this house that legions of army warrior angels be loosed in this house the demons will be bound we'll submit to god resist the devil and he has to flee from us whatever you're struggling with tonight whoever whatever you need to pray for some will be here kneeling some will be here standing some will be here laying others will be walking around the entirety of the tent some of you can just stay right there in your seat and lift up holy hands and sing to the lord but as we worship i want you to get around this tent those of you that will let's press in for a few minutes let's pray tonight let's ask god to do a work in this house a work in this place to protect us to flood us with his grace his glorious presence manifest himself amongst us but we can't just go to church for business as time boy they got a host of them my goodness oh yeah man them kids is they getting their buddies here amen they're working on it all right god bless these young people i love them thank the lord for them well while they're finding their place out there i want you to go back to the book of hebrews we're going to do this again uh tonight uh we were in chapter five and six last week we're gonna go to chapter two tonight for a few moments i have a couple of verses that are some of those tucked away verses in the bible that i'll be honest i've read a thousand times and just skipped right over them and the lord's just been removing some scales from my eyes and revealing some things to me as he has with all of us in this journey and it's amazing to me what is mentioned in hebrews chapter 2 that i've never heard preached on and that i've never personally preached on and dealt with in the text because not only did i not understand it at the time i don't think i was spiritually mature enough to be ready for it and so the holy spirit just let me gloss right over it that's the beautiful thing about the bible it's a living book amen it's alive every single day you can read the same passage every day for 20 years and get something new out of it all the time because there's power in the word of god this is god's revelation to humanity and because of that you can know that it is filled to overflowing with truth and with wisdom and with discerning principles and so i just want to share a few things with you it'll take us a couple of verses to get to it and then i just want to share with you i i've got a couple of markers in various places we probably won't make all that we'll just keep rolling on with with the series at hand that the lord has given me somebody a few minutes ago uh they said i was i was reading somebody something and so i had the deliverance handbook and uh they saw it kind of tucked in my bible kind of hanging out and they're like why do you have that on wednesday night don't worry i'm not going to start making you stand and we're not going to do a mass delivering service i just had it there because somebody wanted to know something that was in it but uh hey if it breaks out we'll roll with it amen church we'll just roll with it and we'll let the lord have his way but hebrews the second chapter is where we are i want to remind you last week as we started talking about the book of hebrews it has one theme and that theme is jesus is better better than what better than everything better than moses better than abraham better than the old testament better than the old covenant better than the tabernacle better than the law jesus is just better he came to fulfill everything that we could not and we thank the lord for that he that knew no sin became sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of god in him jesus is better than the priesthood he's better than all of it jesus is just better thank god for jesus amen so let's pray and we're going to jump in lord tonight bless the word of god to our hearts lord i pray that you would give me the navigational ability through the text to say what it says not what somebody wants it to say and lord help our hearts to be settled for the next few moments bless jesse and his crew with all of those students down there as they hear the word of god as well or thank you for prayer time thank you for communion thank you for worship and lord we say with the same words of that last song jesus we love you we worship you we adore you we honor you so lord tonight i pray that you would just reveal to us continually and consistently truths of this journey that we are on as a local church and may lord tonight you be honored and people be freed in-house and online and we'll thank you for it in jesus name and all of god's people said all right hebrews chapter two again jesus is better than everything you can imagine and he's going to deal in all of chapter one which we don't have time to deal with about the exalted savior and how he's been exalted above the angels and then in a few moments below the angels and we'll see that in context in just a moment in the brightness of his glory god in these last days speaks to us through the person and the work of the holy spirit through jesus christ and so all of chapter one is talking about the glory of god the glory of the kingdom the glory of the fact that jesus rose from the dead he ascended into heaven he sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high it continues into chapter two we're gonna pick up in verse 9 and following hebrews 2 and verse 9 but we see out loud next word jesus he's all over this book he's all over these pages he's all over the book of hebrews and let me tell you something the bible is not about persons places and things the bible is about a person and that person is jesus he's the common denominator to every book in the bible law and the volume of the book it is written of me i come to do thy will oh god you tell me how much you love the bible and i'll tell you how much you love the author because this book is all about one person and if you want to get to know that one person you got to get in this book called the bible because this is a jesus book right here it's a jesus book he said but we see jesus who was made watch this a little lower it's interesting lower than the angels now how can jesus be made lower than the angels when we know that he is exalted highly and heavenly above them well watch for the suffering of death the thing that made him lower than the angels is that the bible says one day you and i will be like the angels of god that do not and cannot die but jesus was made less and lower than an angel because it took death for the redemption and the salvation of all of humanity and being made lower than an angel he experienced and tasted something that even angels do not taste and that is death and might i just say as we tiptoe through the mulberry bush and move on to the next verse if angels don't die you better know that their counterparts demons don't die either so they're still around and there's only one remedy for demons cast them out in the name of jesus that's it that's it so jesus was made lower than the angels because of death now watch he was crowned with glory and honor that by the grace of god he should taste death for every man you hear that jesus tasted death for every man he literally took the keys of death and hell and shook him in the devil's face and when he said it is finished he meant just that don't add to it don't take away from it it is done it is finished what jesus did is enough you believe that church it is enough and so the bible said it was crowned with glory and by the grace of god he should taste death for every man for it became him for whom are all things and by whom are all things in bringing here's what he does because of his salvation in bringing many sons unto glory to make the captain of our salvation i love that the captain of their salvation which is jesus perfect through sufferings it was the suffering of the savior that brings us peace that passes all understanding that brings us joy unspeakable and full of glory and it was through his sufferings and death that we have life and life more abundantly it was through the death of the savior that you and i are able to have life death produced life wherefore as by one man's sin entered into the world and death by sin so then death passed upon all men for that all have sinned man brought death and jesus brought life ladies and gentlemen and he brought us life through his death the first adam jacked it up the second adam showed up and fixed everything that the first adam had wrecked and the bible says that because of that we're made perfect in salvation through his sufferings verse 11 for both he that sanctifieth sets apart and they who are sanctified are all of one there's unity in the body jesus brings about unity in the body the bible says that we are all baptized into one body by one spirit and that's the spirit of god for which cause watch this he is not ashamed to call them brethren aren't you glad although some people will walk out on you jesus calls you brethren we are in the family of god and the bible says that we are joint heirs with jesus christ you know what a joint area is it means you own what he owns you own what he owns we are heirs to the kingdom of righteousness he calls us brethren verse 12 saying we're going somewhere i will declare thy name he's quoting the psalms now unto my brethren in the midst of the church will i sing praise unto thee by the way that's a real good principle in the midst of the church will i sing praise unto thee a quotation right out of the book of psalms and again i will put my trust in him and again behold i and the children which god hath given me so again jesus jesus jesus he's leading us somewhere and where he's leading us is something that i've never seen before and it's beautiful when the bible reveals itself to you through the person and the teaching of the holy spirit check out verse 14. all this talk about death here's why for as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood question are you flesh and blood yes or no yes but we are not saved by flesh and blood we are not saved because of what family we were born into we are saved because of the sufferings the death the burial the resurrection and the blood of jesus christ and we wrestle not against flesh and blood so what do we wrestle with against principalities powers and spiritual wickedness in high places but we are all partakers of flesh and blood everyone in here is of one race the human race okay we all are part of the body of flesh and blood watch this he jesus also himself likewise took part of the same hear me when i tell you god became a man theologically we call that the incarnation incarnate means god with meat on him no man can look upon god and live so god came in the person and in the work of jesus so that we may enter in and have access boldly to the throne of the father and that's why he said in john 14 6 i am the way the truth and the life and no man gets that access no man gets into the throne room no man comes to my father unless you do it through me he's the doorway to deliverance he's the gateway to god's glory he's the only one that can get us into the kingdom we're making sense and we didn't get to where we want to get to but this is what the bible teaches he became flesh and blood philippians 2 5-11 he humbled himself became obedient unto death even the death of the cross and it was because of that that god crowned him with glory and honor now watch this he likewise took part of the same that watch please these next two words through death through death god became a man and died for the sins of humanity that through death not through life not through his eloquent preaching and speaking abilities not through walking on the water and feeding multitudes no no that through death he might destroy say destroy that's total annihilation right there that through death he jesus might destroy him that's a person that had the power of death that is the devil when jesus on the cross in john 19 30 said it is finished it was the final kick in the mouth that the devil was not wanting for such a long time he was hoping it was over let's not get jesus to the cross but the moment those words came out of jesus mouth victory was then ours at that very moment and the devil and the demons of hell knew that they had been defeated and jesus through death destroyed him that had the power of death that is the devil he destroyed the works of the devil through his death and now through his life we destroy the works of the devil that's what the bible teaches and jesus died and overcame sin death hell the grave the devil himself scoffed him laughed at him looked in his face this was the genesis 3 15 moment of which yes the serpent shall bruise your heel but your heel shall crush his head beneath your foot and you better know as i've said a million times i'll say a bazillion more i've read the back of the book it doesn't end with o me it ends with amen it is finished and jesus defeated the devil and colossians 1 13 says we've been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of god's dear son and positionally we are there practically we're still working on it and the bible says that he through death might destroy him that had the power of death he literally took the power of death away from the devil but here's the part that's beautiful because you'll notice after the word devil there's not a period the thought continues into the next phrase when he did this here's what it produced and look at these two words deliver them that's pretty good right there that's right there in the bible huh can he make that if i wanted to and deliver them watch this who threw fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage what was the bondage they were subject to the fear of death so not only in a verse and a half a verse and a phrase do you have the devil mentioned you have three of the biggest spirits that we've ever run into in deliverance ministry the spirit of death the spirit of fear and the spirit of bondage and all three of them in this context are nothing but triplets to the deviance of satan himself and the bible says that jesus took the keys of death and hell he defeated the devil himself and in order to do that he did it so that we could be delivered from fear because god's not giving us the spirit of fear but of love power and of a sound mind and he said you don't have to be in bondage and you don't have to fear death so when we say spirit of death come out we mean it in jesus name if you're saved you don't have to fear death if you're saved you don't have to be subjected to the spirit of fear and by the way all this nonsensical stuff christians can't have a spirit when he said god's not giving us the spirit of fear he wasn't talking to lost people he was talking to the church so if he's not giving it to us it means by process of elimination logically that some people have it and fear is the number one spirit that's crippling the body of christ in the united states fear sails well don't believe me people still wearing them stupid masks in a car by themselves with no law whatsoever stating otherwise you know why fear has gripped the hearts of people bondage has gripped the hearts of people did you know the book of galatians calls bondage the spirit of bondage and people are gripped by fear and because of that they're placed in bondage and the whole of their life it says the whole of their life they're crippled by something that they don't even recognize they're fighting an enemy that they don't even recognize that they're fighting so read this verse again pay attention to it this is crazy and deliver them completely rid them who through fear of death this is how the devil works he uses the fear of death where all of their lifetime not just a day not just an hour you ever met somebody their whole life they've been crippled by the same problem they can't figure it out and the doctors can't diagnose it it's a curse their whole lifetime they were subject to bondage so the next verse i don't have time to deliver it but we're going to come back to verse 15. he says for verily he took not on him the nature of angels but he took on him the seat of abraham he didn't become an angel he became a man so that he could free men from the bondage of the spirit of fear and the spirit of death that's powerful i'm thinking to myself how did i miss that all these years it was the purpose of redemption it was the theological framework for his death so that he might destroy him that had the power of death the devil and in doing so deliver those who for their entire life have been crippled by fear and because of that fear brought into bondage it's that simple there's no two ways about that context it is the only way it reads there's no other way to defend it or describe it that's it and that's why first john says fear has torment fear will torment you now this is not the direction i was going to take this but i'm going to take it this way anyhow because i believe he's just heavy in my spirit right now listen here's what i'm learning in this ministry and i know i keep talking about it because i'm going to keep beating the drum i ain't going away anytime soon with this delivering stuff i'm telling you it's real it ain't nonsense it is new testament as anything but here's what i'm learning to teach people here's what i'm learning to frame up in my own life if you recognize what a spirit is not what its function is what it actually is itself you can fight it better here's what i mean by that when we hear spirit of heaviness we just think well you know it's an atmosphere of depression we hear spirit of fear well you know it just gives me a little anxiety panic attacks and keeps me up at night with insomnia no you know what a spirit is it is a person without a body that's why they have to use other bodies and they have to use bodies so much and so often and so crave it that they're willing to go into the hogs you remember just so they can make sure that they have a body a spirit a demon a devil in the bible is nothing more than a person without a body so here's the deal did you know when you recognize that a spirit is a person you'll fight against it better you ever notice the bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood but what do we wrestle with as we said a moment ago principalities power spiritual wickedness in high places now listen you notice that the apostle paul at least three other times in the new testament i said this the other night in virginia it just came out of my mouth and didn't mean to say it it was revelatory to me and someone said to you the apostle paul used the phrase fight three other times in the new testament he could have said our fight is with no he didn't he said we wrestle not but here's what we wrestle with he used fight in three other contexts but when it came to demons he used wrestle you know what wrestling is it's the most hands-on contact sport you've got you all in you throwing your belly around you messing your knees up you stomping you spitting you hitting people with chairs you grappling you flipping you pulling you mike tyson biting some ears i mean you getting into it right it's full contact ufc smackdown to the mat and god through the apostle paul and the holy ghost in inspiration used the most hands-on form of fighting to tell us what we do well you don't just wrestle with an atmosphere you don't just wrestle with an attitude you wrestle with a person a person without a body and when you see it as a person without a body you'll fight against it like a person right and so here's what you have to realize the spirit of fear is a person you know when heaviness will leave you when you start recognizing isaiah 61 4 you replace the garment the spirit of heaven is with the garment of praise when you recognize that heaviness is a person that's trying to take your character from you it's not a feeling a spirit's not a feeling a spirit's not a atmosphere it's not an attitude a spirit is a person that doesn't have a body and uses yours to dwell in so it can do its bidding for the enemy and i think sometimes we can just willy-nilly walk right into deliverance ministry and not understand what we're actually fighting against i don't fight attitudes i fight people without bodies that's what a demon is and you know when some of you will actually go through a deliverance that really works and frees you when you recognize who and what you're actually fighting you're fighting a person that's come against your person trying to destroy and ruin you and keep you where you're at and does not want you romans 8 28 and 29 to be conformed into the image of the lord jesus christ demons want to take your peace they want to take your joy they want to take your excitement they want to take your fulfillment in life they want you to feel failure and misery and sleeplessness and hopelessness hopelessness and broke that's what they want and the bible says that jesus through his death defeated him that had the power of death so that we might be delivered through fear that all of our lifetime we've been in bondage to how many of you would have to say you've either been there or you know somebody that most of their life they've been in bondage yeah been in bondage in bondage to addiction in bondage to depression in bondage to pornography in bondage to lust in bondage to bitterness unforgiveness when you recognize what it actually is it changes the way that you fight with it you don't wrestle with an attitude you wrestle with a person and that person wants to change who you are and right here in the text it's been here all this time and after 15 000 some odd sermons in 48 states 15 foreign countries and millions of followers online i just found it well what a coincidence i told somebody tonight that's not odd that's just god you know what if i'd have found this verse 10 years ago i don't even know that i would have read it and i would have explained it away but you can't explain it away it means exactly what it says jesus has given us the victory to be delivered from a spirit of fear and in this context the fear of death that keeps people in bondage if you're born again don't fret about heaven it's going to be glorious you ain't got to sit around oh my goodness what's it going to be like it's going to be beyond anything you could ever imagine i has not seen ear has not heard what god has prepared for those that seek him and what god has prepared for those that love him it's going to be on be beyond your wildest imagination you know we got five senses i think when we get to heaven we're gonna have a thousand senses man we're gonna see things we're gonna smell stuff that we can see it's gonna be amazing we see the colors of the rainbow now which the rainbow belongs to god say amen right there we see the colors of the rainbow now we've got a small spectrum i believe there's going to be colors in heaven that we've never even imagined it's going to be glorious the bible says that the street of the city is made of pure gold i'm telling you it's going to be rocking amazing unbelievable we can't even imagine what it's going to be like why would you fear that and yet the spirit of fear will make you unnaturally fear things that you should actually rejoice over paul said hey let me tell you something about death to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord he said i'm ready to go on the next train he said but for you it's far better that i stay he said i love this king james word he said i'm in a betwixt not the candy bar he said i'm going to betwixt between two having a desire to part but to stay with you is far better he said look i still got to disciple you i've still got to take you some deliverance and i still got to watch you grow in the lord he said but if i had my way i'd be up out of here beat me up scotty he said i'd be gone why because he understood the reality of this place that we're going and is it amazing that the devil has been able to take the thing that is most glorious about christianity and pervert it and make people afraid of it ((music playing)) you know if you'll talk to people on their deathbed that aren't overloaded with medication in their natural mind they'll tell you some stuff about heaven and they'll tell you some stuff about hell you ought to look up a book don't look it up while i'm preaching but y'all look it up unless you online cause i can't see you there's a book you can probably find it on amazon it's out of print it's been around for many many many years i have a copy somewhere but we'll have to find another one it's called testimonies of dying saints and sinners it's unbelievable i mean before the you know medication promotion of the world and people didn't get injected with everything in the world when they would die in their natural state they would tell you about the glories of the other world but you take somebody like voltaire who was an infidel who by the way said 150 years after i'm dead the bible will be so obsolete that no one will own one and no one will have heard of one think about that what a fool 150 years he's been dead a lot longer 150 years 150 years after i'm dead the bible will be so obsolete that nobody will own one and nobody will have heard of one check me on this do you know what voltaire's house is right now it's the headquarters for the worldwide bible society because the grass withers and the flower thereof fades away but the word of our god abides forever church but when voltaire was dying this atheist agnostic feet out of these flames his last words before he bust hail wide open you see if you are here tonight in your unregenerate state and you have never repented and believed the gospel you have reason to fear death but if you are born again washed in the crimson flow of calvary in the red royal blood of heaven i'm telling you you don't have to fear death it'll be the most glorious transaction you've ever been involved in you'll close your eyes here and in a split millisecond you'll open your eyes into the glory of god and you'll see jesus face to face and i'm telling you what a day that's going to be remember the old song what a day that will be when my jesus i shall see when i look upon his face and thank him for his grace what a day what a day that will be i'm looking forward to it this little side note don't say this when we were working on the most recent book i was sending some things to wayne and the crew was reading through it he said i noticed that you went back and you capitalized the word heaven every time you mentioned it he said did you mean to i said yep he said all right we'll leave it that way i said look they capitalize tennessee don't they they capitalize texas don't they nashville's capital you know why because it's an actual place oh yes i like to capitalize it because i'ma go into a real place church i'm going to a real place i go fear death i'm not going to let the devil steal from me down here what i get to expect from god up there and he said you've been delivered from the spirit of the fear of death that's kept you in bondage your whole life and i know people that have been saved for years they chew their fingernails to the quick and they're freaking out about what's gonna happen next it's just gonna happen it's gonna be beautiful we can't imagine angels thousands and thousands times tens of thousands of thousands fluttering around the emerald encrusted throne of god we can't imagine when we get the stare into the fiery eyes of jesus himself the one with whom we have to do the thrice holy god of the universe no exclusions no exceptions no excuses just standing in the all inspiring presence of god you know that's what caused mercy me to write that song i can only imagine because that's all you can do what will i do will i dance will i sing will i fall down what what will i do i don't know but it's going to be good and i love it when the bible teaches me something while i'm preaching and the whole thing takes a dramatic shift in a different direction because what i wasn't even going to talk about the fact but that's what the spirit of fear of death has done it's robbed god's people of a future inheritance that's going to be so glorious people sit around threatening over it oh i'm not going for it i'm going to rejoice oh now don't get me wrong i got some work to do i got all of eternity to be in heaven and so i'd like to stick around with you folks for a little while if you have me you know i i want to stick around with my wife and my youngins for a bit right she kind of likes having me around amen but you don't have to fear as a believer the glorious presence you know what makes heaven heaven jesus if one know jesus it'd just be like a i don't know glorified dollywood or something you know ((music playing)) no no jesus makes heaven what it is you're going to be so distracted by jesus you ain't gonna care about the streets of gold you're gonna be so distracted by jesus you know i told him that i said you know i can't wait to re rewind the divine dvd player and go back and watch elijah call fire down from heaven and watch moses park the waters of the red sea i'll be honest i'm not gonna have to hook it up and everybody always says i got all kind of questions to ask god all your questions will be answered when you get in the glory cloud of who god is everything will be answered when we have a body like unto his glorious body and we walk the streets with jesus and there is no need of a light for he is the light thereof and yet there's a lot of christians that fear that the fear of the unknown you see how fear of what you don't even understand can rob you of what you should be enjoying right now because you know we sing the song it will be worth it all yeah that's cute but it's worth it right now i'm having a good time right now it's worth serving jesus right now it's worth it right now ladies and gentlemen and he said jesus died so that he through death could destroy him the devil that had the power of death so that he could deliver us from the fear of death that's kept us our whole lifetime in bondage that's beautiful a whole lot of other places we could go tonight but we ain't going to do it because i just think that helped somebody help me it's going to be a glorious time when we leave this world and instantaneously enter the next our senses will have to be different because it'd be sensory overload we wouldn't be able to handle it wouldn't be able to handle it but i want to say this one thing by way of a warning and we'll just pray and quit and pick up later amen eternity is a long time we've examined that we've talked about that we've allegorized and illustrated that on a number of occasions but i want to remind you that as long as we are in heaven in the glory of god's presence with angels and saints and those that have gone before us with all the perfection no disease no death no devil no depravity no division no divorce no discouragement no depression nothing i want to remind you as long the exact amount of time the same amount of time that we are in heaven rejoicing in god's presence the same amount of time those who die without christ will be in the lake of fire remorsing remembering every opportunity they had to repent and every time they said ah i'll do it tomorrow hell will be filled to overflowing with religious procrastinators church-going people that because of embarrassment and to save face i'll just do it later and when later doesn't come you end up in hell heaven's gonna be beautiful it's gonna be wonderful but hell is gonna be just as eternal so if you are not born again i can't help you be delivered from a spirit of fear of death you're going to stay in bondage but if you are saved fear not saints of god what is to come it's going to be glorious it's going to be wonderful it's going to be tremendous it's going to be stupendous it's going to be beyond your wildest imagination to god be the glory great things he hath done i'm glad that jesus died to deliver me from a spirit of fear of death and i don't have to be in bondage i've been free if you've been free get on your feet give the lord some praise in this house tonight we've been freed by the grace of god we've been freed hallelujah hallelujah father in jesus mighty name we thank you for freedom we thank you for deliverance we thank you for redemption for salvation and we thank you that tonight we get to just for a few moments think about what it's going to be in the glory land with god what a beautiful opportunity and lord use this message to not just encourage us but to burden us to get sinners to the cross of calvary so that they through the gospel can be saved father thank you for what you're doing in our church we pray that you have just now lit the fuse and the real explosion is coming later do a work holy spirit
