something that we navigate as young adults we honestly kind of talk about this forever but as young adults we really start asking ourselves these questions but before before we get into our topic as you know we're in our built different series and we have another question submitted by you guys question keep sending the menu send all the questions help us you can leave a comment you can go to our Instagram Free Chapel young adults you should follow the Instagram anyway but follow Instagram leave questions there but before I ask a question and before we get into our topic can never go episode without honoring our incredible leadership Pastor Jensen and mice we love you guys thank youall for allowing us to be young adults and have a so any who are youall ready for the question sure and we're going to do speed round you guys have done really good job not going too long for these you done a great job minute but again a minute is minute is a a minute is you got to close do the alter that's an extra 10 seconds we're not any who the question submitted today is how do I correct someone in love how do I correct someone in love again we're in our built different series and something that we are different in than the world is our friendships and navigating we don't just want to let our friends do whatever they want sometimes those ones that are close to us we want to be able to have those tough conversations as the Bible says you problem with your brother go to your brother so how do we correct someone in love well first off the reason you should want to correct somebody is because you love them and if you don't love them I would highly recommend maybe don't correct them I agree just be super smart in your approach when it comes to that cuz if you don't love them you're going to approach it and you're probably going to be mean rude like hurtful towards them uh but I think the best way to correct somebody in love is always go about it like almost not like I'm telling you but I'm kind of almost bringing up a question going like hey I've kind of noticed this is kind of happening what what would you say to that and I would kind of feel them out because depending on what you're correcting them on they may not know that they're doing it number one or it might be an area where they're kind of wounded and something's kind of going on in their heart so I want to speak to that person's heart right before I want to speak to their behavior and so when I speak to their heart what's going to help them is when I speak to their heart it'll help their behavior so very good I love that um and I'm just kind of going to piggy back I say use tact like know who you're talking to and when you know who you're talking to know how to speak to them and one of the ways we can do that is in our language one of the things I've learned even in marriage is don't say when you're correcting somebody you did you did soon as you point and you just say you did Def they get defensive so own your sort of accountability and what I mean by that is own how you feel about what they're doing what they did so I say use language like hey I feel like or I've perceived or I've seen and then you're owning it and now you can communicate what you see perceive um or what you feel so I say own it but that's a way to use tact yeah and I want to pck it back off this because this is stuff that I'm navigating too but something I love that you said is to not go into it like you do this or pointing the finger making all these definitive statements even if you are almost completely 100% positive bringing it to them in humility almost like you're trying to get understanding or like or even help me to understand this situation instead of just immediately going in on and why that's important to like what I was piggybacking is a lot of times when we are correcting is based on again what we perceive or how what somebody did made us feel and I think sometimes we don't want to take accountability for how we feel it's easier to point the finger and blame and say you did but it's never going to get to resolve because now it's going to be this back and forth of I'm the I'm defending myself you're defending that's not the point the point is to get to a place of accountability yeah and the last thing I'll say on this one is like PA was saying about tact knowing the time to correct someone come on because Skyler it's not the time to correct someone when you're in a group of people and it's like girl what you doing you crazy blah blah blah and all these people around find the time and also one of my besties did this with me recently like we were on the phone talking and she had been thinking something but we were talking on the phone and I kind of invited her into the moment and then she spoke into it so she had been thinking something for a minute but then when I invited her in she spoke to it so think of the timing another thing sometimes you you can't correct people when they ain't give you that give you permission to correct wait for the right time or wait for them to give you that green light you can't just correct strangers you know what I saw you f it's like do I know you right right right so good job guys that was a great question okay our topic today is a huge one one that is probably the reason you clicked on this video unless you're just a writer and always watch our podcast but the will of God that's something that we often talk about am I and is this the will of God is that the will of God will me making this decision I think of when we're in high school and literally freshman year I remember first day freshman year they're asking us about what college we want to go to and what we want to do with our life and all these major questions that we have to kind of wrap our minds around and then obviously from the Christian World viewer like okay God I have to decide what your will is for me and I have to figure it out and I don't want to mess it up and even in the tone that I'm talking it's like this anxiousness and it's this like freaking out about it um sometimes feeling the need to be like I I feel like I can't do anything until God says yes but let's unpack this topic today so going to throw out this general question that a lot of us ask but how do we know what God's plan is for us how do we even know it's a great question first off do we have a name for our podast cters FC I call them my y Family Y y's name yourself I just call them family so in the chat or on our social media we want you guys to name yourselves throw some options out there and then we'll pick the best one how about that Sky said we going to call you family Skyler rebuked me uh one of our previous I called her I said that's Mama Sky she said no sister was to reuse it was a it was a subtle how do you correct somebody in love she corrected me in love it was slly it was I've noticed that what you're doing is you know calling no now was how do we know what God's plan is for us um I just think with anything proximity like it's so funny when I think of God's plan when I think of the will of God like the word that comes to my mind is intimacy and it's just like a marriage a lot of times people want relationship without the intimacy or I'll say the other way they want intimacy without the relationship so only way I can build Intimacy in terms of knowing um the knowledge of God's will um and understanding God is to have relationship and hear me I I don't want to judge or tell people what that relationship is or anything like that but a relationship isn't just church on Sunday yeah relationship isn't just doing a quick devotion all right I'm good like there's there's like a real kind of building of relationship that goes into it there's a sitting and settling there's a listening there's a so in order for you to know God's plan you have to build relationship and it can't be this quick I got it out the way checking off the list it has to be some I'm contemplating with the Lord I'm seeking the Lord I'm reading his word I'm fasting there's a lot of things that go into it but if you don't have the basic spiritual disciplines you're never going to know God's plan for your life and I think a will first off when we're on Earth it's like when you get when you're written in somebody's will that means assets property has been given to you so automatically you know when you receive Jesus there's something inside of me that has been given to me so it's like what am I going to do with what he's been given to me well there's non-negotiables about plan where it's like he wants you to love people love the neighbor love him uh take care of widows orphans go and make disciples so like that that's a plan now when it comes to that overarching theme it's like well how am I going to use the gift or what he's given me to do it like you said it's proximity it's figuring out it's trial and Air there's many people that I know that were like I felt like God called me to do this and then he ends up veering them a different way and it's like okay if I would have had the plans myself because in my mind I had it like this I didn't think it was going to be that so I think it is like day by day every single day just being close to him talking with him um and there is like a sense that we have to understand where it's like you know like there's righteousness peace and joy well 2third of that is is is kind of almost feeling based so there is an aspect to this where like I'm going to kind of feel this out I know for me for a fact like I knew I was called to preach cuz number one I love to talk and so like I'm like I'm definitely going to be talking for a living there's no way I'm sitting in a cubicle um but but like for for me I just felt the sense that I was called like I I had God had this plan for me to preach to people you know but that was me praying me figuring out but then it's also people would kind of identify something with me where it's like hey you're you're pretty good at this like you you should lean into that and also like no one had to tell me to write a sermon no one had to tell me to like talk about Jesus it was just something that was innate in me I'd say figure out what like what fires you up what that no you do that you just do that's really good and I love the point you make about relationship both of you guys make and there's such freedom in that it's like there's freedom to think it's one thing and then through relationship you figure out that it's something else and I think it's something I actually preached about this at camp fcy out toe and shout out to fcy yeah shout out fcy but something um that I talked about I was reading um Luke and I was talking about how Jesus was in the temple and his parents went looking for him and they came back and his parents are Mary is like why would you scare us by being in the temple whatever and Jesus literally responds why were you looking for me didn't you know it it's necessary that i' be about my father's business and the thing that I got out of that is before our business is an assignment or a calling it's relationship so we can often Rush past relation ship to get to assignment but that is the wrong order of business he literally says the father's business is relationship and to be even more real with it Jesus older obviously is mentioning like so many people will come to him and be like Lord Lord didn't we do didn't we do this didn't we do that and he'll be like depart from me I never knew you so before we rush into the ass before we rush into the assignment we've got to get the first thing first which is relationship and from that place we can discover what are those beautiful things God has put within you and the question I pose to the youth is ask yourself and obviously pray through this of God what are the things that you've put within me that I should pay attention to is it my voice is it my administrative skills is it the way I'm able to gather people together and create these great environments like think of it like what are those things that light my heart on fire because sometimes we feel like God's going to call us to do these things we hate but often times he put the desire there to use it for his glory but you just said something that's important because I think a lot of times where we get caught up and I know I've been there is if we're not careful our perception of God's plan is through the lens of our desires yes that's real and through the lens of what we want so what we'll do is we have this end result and we're doing everything in our means to get there but we're wanting God to follow our leading yeah and when he's not following our leading what what's his we're freaking out but one things you you said it and it's the Bible says he'll give you the desires of your heart which means in relationship so like I didn't fully give my wife my heart until we were in relationship and then in Covenant yes I couldn't give her the intimacy that you know until we were in Covenant but so many people are bypassing the stage of but they want all the desires they want all the feelings and stuff but soon as you get that Covenant he's going he's going place it in you and it's going to be a fire that shuts Up all In it's just your bones going to be on fire like I just I got to do this thing but you cannot forsake the cording that it's just like a relationship it's just like a relationship and I think like sometimes we diminish the desire and the plan that God has for us because it might not be to the scale that we want it to be I remember when I was a youth pastor and I had to like it was like 12 kids that I would like preach to and it's like I'm getting them ready to be in this room and I'm setting out like 20 chairs cuz I'm like what if more show up God you know and I'm setting up these tables and I'm like I got this whole sermon that I spent all night working on I was up to like two or three in the morning and I'm setting up tables I'm putting food out and at the end of Serv I'm like hold on guys I got to go meet you at the door it's only like 12 kids but I wanted to shake every one of those kids hands to make sure like on the way out they felt seen they felt loved but like those were some of the best days for me Ministry wise because my heart so bad just wanted to reach those kids you know and sometimes because it's not to the scale because it's not to the thousands because our business isn't as big as we want it to be we diminish the plan that God has Us in right now and we look at like why why aren't you doing more for me God and I think you're comparing like what God has for you with somebody else when in reality bro it's a privilege no matter what the size of the scale is yeah I love that and that makes me think of the scripture that says we are many parts but one body and I also love that that shows us that God has trusted each of us with a piece of his body so for a young adult listening I know that some of us sometimes feel like I don't know if I have something that I'm passionate about like I I don't think I don't feel passionate about anything I've not had any moment where it's been this big God thing of like this is my thing but through relationship with the Lord he can show you the piece of himself he's trusted you with to give to everyone and obviously we can do multiple things there's passions there's all that stuff but there's something specific that God has put within you there's a reason God wanted you here and through relationship with him he will reveal it to you he's not gatekeeping that information from you he's not cruel he's not sitting there being like I know so and so wants to know what their passion is but I'm not going to tell them no I love the scripture that says Kings seek out A matter and queens but kings and queens anyway we seek out A matter and so we get to through relationship with God seek it out with him of God I want to glorify through this help me to see it help me to see what is it that you've gifted me to do and that makes it much more of a beautiful Discovery instead of this like burden where you're anxious and you're searching and you're striving but instead you're discovering with the Lord but first part seek first the kingdom and his right and he'll add the he'll add Vision but I'm going to take it even deeper yeah like cuz you said in the anxiousness but sometimes in the anxiousness that's when God can really cuz the Bible says in Psalms as a deer Pants full of water on my soul you have to understand that even in the context of that scripture it wasn't this beautiful green think about it wasn't a Greenery scene of like Green Pastures and David was in a desert yes and think about it sometimes in our anxiety we feel like we're in the desert we're thirsty yeah I'm thirsty to know your plan for me so as I'm thirsting to know your plan I need to thirst after you but what happens is we get thirsty for the plan we get thirsty for that job we get thirsty for that relationship instead of thirsting after him because our he's the only thing that can quench our soul but when he quenches our our soul we're filled up and we're able to make decisions we're able to see things clear but we got to allow ourselves to just it's him it's only him good there's one test that God is always like no matter what you're going through there's one test always at hand and it's is he enough very good that's always the test so like you're struggling financially is he enough y it's not that God's not going to help you with your finances it's not that God's going to just leave you that way but it's like even if your finances aren't good is he enough enough if you don't have the job you want is he enough so if you want to get to the end as far as an answer quicker and find more peace more joy while you're in the middle of that stuff is he enough yeah and we can stay on this too in the context of like like we freak out about the plan when it doesn't happen in our time in 100% 100% And I think if we can understand that there's I think Jord Mills was talking about this man too like don't forsake process think about it we say this all the time Jesus it was 33 years in the making yeah you see what I'm saying but he went on this journey of and you got to expect like if you're spending that much time bypassing your Earthly parents to be with your heavenly father like there's going to be this like understanding of like my bread is to do the will of the father like it just it hits different so I think it's so important though that we don't forsake our process and our time with God and just because he's not revealing it in the time that you want doesn't mean he doesn't have a plan he just hasn't revealed it yet but what happens is because we are like fixated fixated I'm sorry on what we want and what we're Desiring we're bypassing the process of getting there and what if it would not what if it would become a distraction if God gave it to us any other time than his appointed time cuz then we wouldn't focus on the relationship like we should we wouldn't get that Foundation I love what you said about uh the 33 year process for Jesus because in the temple he was 12 years old talking to the the teachers and getting understanding but then 33 was when his or 30 was when his public Ministry started so there is a process and we don't need to get discouraged with time but instead view time as a gift as a gift to to to marinate on him and understand him and because there's a process of two understanding like where we are and who we are and we can't forsake what we've been through and I think a lot of times we're trying to get to you know God's plan and will but he's like man before we get there you need to heal before we get there we got to deal with that trauma before I give you that relationship we got to deal with your broken heart and your unforgiveness so there's don't forsake the process and the journey of God doing everything he needs to do to get you to the purpose to get you to the plan so sometimes the will is just being with the father Yes and being like you said number okay with that mhm that's real good okay question that I know a lot of young adults struggle with and again it brings that anxious tone of can we ruin or Miss God's plan for our lives what would y'all say to that um I so one story that comes to my mind is Samuel like when God's calling him like uh he he Samuel's this young boy he's in the middle of the night and he's praying he has this leader what's the leader's name again got to know my Bible Eli Eli that's right I'm like I was going to elij I'm like it's not a I had to think about it too I promise I read my Bible um but but Eli is his leader that's like his guy and so during the middle of the night Samuel hears his voice and he's like uh he's like he's like Samuel rise and he's like who what was that so he runs into Eli's room he's like you call me he's like I I didn't call you bro go back to bed St bother me and then he goes back and he prays again he's like he's like he's like you you called me and he's like I didn't call you bro go back to bed leave me alone goes back to Pray Again God speaks to him again Samuel rise and he goes back to Eli he goes why are you are you calling me bro like like talk to me he's like I'm not calling you and he goes oh God's calling you Samuel and what I love is Samuel got it wrong three times he went to the wrong person he went to the wrong place it was God calling them all along and I think sometimes like you know we can be the person that kind of like wander wanders around in the dark and maybe you know goes over this way or goes over that way but God is so gracious that he'll let you kind of make a little bit of mistake but he kind of always brings you back and I love how it was Eli who who told him it was God you know like God God used Eli his leader um but yeah that's really good yeah I meant you said it yeah that is really really good okay something else we want to talk about we've talked about assignment a little bit but let's talk about calling so often times I feel like we use calling and assignment a little interchangeably and we think of the works that we do is our calling but as Believers we have like an overarching number one thing and then we have the specific assignment so could you guys help us get some clarity understanding of what is the differ between our calling as Believers and then our assignment as Believers I think the overarching calling is him yes 100% knowing him seeking him again we talked about relationship and I think sometimes we kind of forget that and we strictly go to the individual of like oh I'm trying to and it's like man you ain't even saved yet so you know what I mean in Context so I think knowing that our initial calling is to you know allow him and have faith in him and deem him as our Lord and our savior so he's not just there to save us but he's there to Lord over us and with that understanding we're able to now press forward and seeking what's next for our lives that's good that's good and I think especially with call Ling it's it's not just a call yes it's a call consistent and so I think like following Jesus like it's a calling which means I'm constantly pursuit of him but he's always in pursuit of me but I think in an assignment like it's just something specific for you like if you look at the Old Testament prophets there were something specific for Hosea to do there was something specific for Moses to do so there are specific things that each one of us are supposed to do you know you and I have very similar when it comes to assignment as far as like leading young adults reaching young adults that's very specific for us but somebody else might be have their assignment might be like I'm going to grow the biggest business make all this money but I'm going to bless kids in different country uh but that's something that's like on their heart that like I I I have a heart to like reach those kids but like I don't have the mind the brain to like make all that type of money like for me it's like right now it's young adults that's the assignment that I have that God has given me um yeah yeah and and I think of Peter man like even going to that premise of getting it wrong like sometimes we can you know get off the beaten path that was Peter like I mean his initial calling was to follow Jesus and then he got it wrong he denied him he denied him he denied him um but in that he even in the denial like when Jesus in context called him back yesh he came yeah mhm so you may make some decisions you may get off the beaten path but the Bible says uh in Romans that he turns things around for our good so what that is is that's sort of Grace and that's a green light to cuz here's what I think I feel like as humans and as like just people we're afraid to make mistakes yeah 100% we're afraid to get it wrong and I think that's the fear the fear isn't necessarily oh God I think it's Pride I think we're free to to make a mistake or be like oh you got it wrong or you heard got wrong but in our human Humanity we ain't go B 100 hearing God I'm sorry sometimes we going to miss it and and I just want to relieve people of any pressure like man in trying to be sensitive if you like make the wrong choice man own it yeah own it hey I heard God wrong that's that's on me cuz that ain't on God but that's why a lot of times people put it on God well God said because it's who going to argue God said who AR but take responsibility and know that sometimes in our Humanity we going to get it wrong but God is a he's about restoration reconciliation just like he did with Peter he's going to bring you give you opportunity to repent and now he's going to lead you into where you actually supposed to be going and I think like people are always going to try and scare you to not do something anytime there's risk at play I love the people that come up to you're like yeah I'm just feeling this I feel like God's called me to do this you're like oh you got to be careful you know because if you do that you know this is going to happen like even I'll tell people like I'll be out like just in the suburbs and I'll be like yeah I'm a pastor down in midtown Atlanta they're like Atlanta mhm you got to be careful down there you know it's dangerous you know and everybody always tells me their worst story their worst experience of Atlanta and I'm like that's great but I feel like I'm on a mission field down here so like you can stay here and be safe but I'm I'm going to go down there and take a risk and and I you know for me it's like was I called to to Midtown maybe but I just was like you know what I'm just going to I'm going to choose this I'm I'm going to go to the city and I'm going to love on people and I think there are times like God might call you to go somewhere specific but I think what he's really calling you to is like just go love on people in the community and my my heart broke for that City so I'm like I'm broken for these people God so I'm just going to be here and you're going to do it and just keep the leading and he's going to he going to get you right God is we can't forsake the sovereignty of God he going to get it right you know what I mean like he going he got you but I just think we get in our heads and our humanity and our pride and US wanting to be right and not be wrong plays a big factor in that and I think like we we say like hey you make sure you pray about it right and what that means for people is like all right until I audibly hear where I open up my Bible and there's that verse that says go I'm just gonna yeah I'm I'm gonna wait and not do anything it's like it's like we'll be talking we were joking around earlier about like you know God should I should I have that 1998 used Honda with 300,000 miles like give me give me a yes and you probably won't get anything because he allows you to have decisions and choices but that's that's a I'm talking beginning of time principle a Genesis moment think about what he did with Adam and Eve he gave them a word yeah MH hey you got an opinion but don't eat from this tree but he gave them Choice yes he gave them Choice like go do it do your thing I already gave you the word I already gave it to you so based on what I gave you go do it and I think that's practically how we need to navigate it he's already given us the word yes he's given us the word now can he give you a aama or specific prophetic word absolutely he'll do that he'll sort of step in and but I think a lot of times we're waiting for God to say something that he's already said and he's wanting you to step out in faith and just choose just do it yes I hope that gives you listening like again freedom to know like if your heart is to do the will of God your desire your the motive that you have for doing is God I want to please you I want to make sure that I'm doing exactly you want me to do trust I literally view it I feel like so I've heard this analogy somewhere this isn't me making this one up but like you're in God's hand and even if you go a different route like he still got you and like you said he will direct you if you're a little off but I I also love talking about risk and not wanting to get hurt or not wanting to do the wrong thing but most anything worthwhile in life there's a little bit of risk invol and that's what faith is that is literally what faith is stepping out of the boat you take the step and you say God be with me in this step God help me in this step but if I'm wrong I have the faith to trust that you will guide me where I need to go also the practicality of again in context of knowing this book when it's down to decision time and you haven't gotten a word and you need to step out on faith take it through the lens of the word of okay is this a sinful is there any sin around this decision yeah so I'll give a personal example when I was in the crossroad of making a decision on I had left coaching and I was praying God what's next and I had got offer a job as a assistant dean of admissions at a School in New York and it was like oh practically why wouldn't I don't have a job I need to but as I was praying I felt dist stirring and God didn't speak in an audible voice but he gave me this unction of don't go back in context to go back remember and he gave me a picture remember you had no Church community you had no church remember what you were doing when you were there so as I sort of deciphered it through the lens of like sin and what I was doing I was like yeah I ain't choosing that and then then as I locked in I felt him say don't take it yeah so I didn't take it yeah but then when he said all right move to Georgia through the okay what's sinful about this decision yeah okay and as I looked through it was nothing sinful about it so I stepped out in faith and I did it and I'm glad I did I found my wife kids so step out in faith but look at it through the lens of okay is this decision got and even down to relationally I'll just give one more example no it's good if you're looking on in terms of okay should I date this person or should I marry this person like don't forsake like okay if that person smokes weed and stuff like that's probably not a person you should try to date or be in a relationship cuz don't fool yourself to think oh I can change them that's wrong or hey does this person you know do you know whatever it may be is this person trying to sleep with me if they're trying to sleep with you that's probably not a person you want to date because y'all are just in different places in your life so just don't forsake the practical understanding of the Bible of based on decision no matter what it is is it on the tail of sin or is it not and you heard from God and probably like more of a whisper quietness sometimes that like we get it wrong as Pastor cuz we're like God told me oh give me a praise SP he spoke to like dang go be yelling at this dude I'm like good for himo he don't spoke to me that way but for me like even recently I like last year I had this this just feel and this like nudge where I was like I want to do this this is I want to do and I would just get these subtle little nudges almost just like don't do that just just stay doing what you're doing and you're just kind of like and then like a result happened and I was like oh that was him talking to me and it was such a gentle whisper gent it was a thought it was a nudging it was a pulling but shout out to those people that hear God every day clearly a voice coming down from heaven on every decision God bless you good well to wrap things up want to pose a question to you guys but let's say you're a young adult listening and you've kind of had this plan for your life like you are locked in that you wanted to do this thing and you feel this little stirring again it's not this voice from Heaven that's like you need to do this but you're feeling this stirring that God is taking you in a different route than you planned and it's been something that has been hard for them to navigate it's been something that might cause a little bit of anxiety and stress let's say they went to college for one thing and now they're feeling God leading them a whole different direction and they don't know what to do about it what is a piece of encouragement that we could leave that listener with today well I thought you know I was going to be a professional athlete but that didn't work out you know um but like I I had a heart where I was like I I I was I thought I was going to take over my dad's company like make a lot of money have a construction company do all that I didn't necessarily love construction but I was good with sales I was good with people so I was like this is what I'm going to do and then and then God called me to preach and I was like oh Lord I'm not going to make any money like help help me God help me Jesus make me a great investor yeah you know but like uh for me like I I wanted to do that I really wanted to do that and that was something that was hard to walk away from but there was such this security from him where I was like I just know that this is what I'm supposed to do and he just put that peace in that sincerity where it's like this is really what I feel like I'm called to do so I'd say like you know if you're afraid to step away from that or maybe like you thought it was going to be this I'm telling you you're going to be way more secure taking that leap of faith even if it's a pay cut like for me was working for my dad and I was in Ohio and every other week I would travel from Ohio Down to Georgia to help with the young adults and I was just volunteering for me it was like kind of almost taking a pay cut to just come and build a Ministry but to me it was so worth it because the Fulfillment I got by listening to God uh was way better than any paycheck I could have gotten and you might take a paycheck to follow Jesus but I can tell you this like Jesus as a disciples he's like even on this side of Eternity you will have a reward so that's really good man I I just think think too it's like don't forsake the different times and Seasons that you're in Yeah because sometimes depending on where we are and you know where we at with our walk with God we're going to make certain decisions on that and for me I thought I was going to coach for the rest of my life but I was doing that through the lens of fear because I remember it was a point where I felt the Lord was telling me to leave coaching but it was so much fear around it I was like I doubted myself I was like what I ever I can't do anything else and even down to forgetting some of the prophetic words that have been given to me in college and in high school yeah of like man God has called you to Greater I can see you speaking and ministering and preaching y'all when I tell you I forgot all that yeah cuz all I can think about is what I lacked and all I can think about is my limitations but again as I went on a journey with God I began to be more secure in me based on what he saw in me yeah and that's when he just started like showing me and it's been even a journey when I became a pastor growing in confidence in believing that God can use me in a certain way so it never necessarily stops but are we okay with being moldable teachable um and accountable to the Lord that help help him and walk with him take us on this journey of where he's trying to take us but I just think man people are not aware of where they're at and if you just sort of contemplate and know that man God okay I'm struggling in these areas let me deal with this stuff first before I get to that man we'll be better off in my opinion and taking that leap of faith I think all of us have fear yes like most people probably would look at you and be like oh you scared man I was terrified cuz again my comfort zone was coaching my comfort zone was basketball my comfort zone was Athletics so to step outside of that it was like what else can I do but again it was me just faith not fearing but trusting God all right God you got it and that's the denying yourselves yes because a lot of times we'll come to God but we're holding all this stuff and he's like no deny yourself pick up your cross and now follow me and I think when we get to that Crossroad we got to be willing to lay down our dreams not lay them down us since they're oh forget them but give them to the God I'm giving you this I'm giving you my desires I'm giving you my wants and just let you guide me yeah we all have fears yeah but successful people do it anyway that's good that is so good so what about you do what do you mean I did thatp cuz she looking at the clock what about how would you answer that question what was what did I even what did I even ask oh for the person um who's struggling I I you guys really did hit the nail on the head of just learning to trust that God's way is better like it really is and I think the reason we cling to our way is cuz it feels safer like everything that you guys are saying it feels safer but learning to trust God Is So key and again to recap and also hit on this question is that's why relationship is so important because you trust through relationship so you don't rush past a relationship to get to the assignment or to the calling or to whatever it is you build that relationship with the Lord you keep that number one and then you trust that God is with you every step of the way as you're figuring it out as you're trying things maybe God redirects you but I hope this conversation brought peace to you and it's not this why are you laughing at me I was laughing cuz you were saying that and I was like but if you cheat in a relationship it's not going to be trust it's going to be insecurity but that's a whole another thing that's going to be the next podcast next but any the Christmas episode is cheaters what do we do about it anyway not gifts no no no any who we hope this conversation brought you so much peace and you don't feel like you're going to ruin your life but trust that as your heart is for the will of God he can work things out and if your heart is not the will of God you could end up ruining something so don't do that get your heart right get the relationship right don't be one of those people who get to heaven literally the gates and are like Lord didn't I do this didn't I do that and God's like I never knew you depart from me you worker of iniquity we're not trying to be those people we want to be known by God and do the will of God so again hopefully you have peace we love you so much share this with a friend a family member and we'll see you next time bye family ((applause)) ((music playing)) ((applause)) hey hey
