HE MADE A WAY | PASTOR TRAVIS GREENE | FORWARD CITY CHURCH
Transcript
Hey family, happy Resurrection Sunday. First of all, I'm just grateful God got up. And I'm grateful that you decided to tune in with us today here at Forward City Church. ((music playing)) What a remarkable Sunday. Literally hundreds of salvations, ((music playing)) radical lives being changed, and just incredible to see the hand of God moving.
I preached a message today >> ((music playing)) >> simply entitled He Made a Way. We came from Hebrews chapter 10. So, do me a favor, grab your Bibles. Also, like, subscribe, share this message with other people so hopefully they can be inspired to remember that the way has already been made for them ((music playing)) to be able to move forward in the things of God.
All right? I love you. I'll see you at the end of the message. All right. Let's do it together. THIS IS MY REVIVAL YEAR. Everything is about to shift. COME ON. I PROPHESY TO THE NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, and west. Fresh wind is blowing on every dead and dry place.
Dead dreams live again. Dead gifts live again. Dead faith live again. YOUR FREEDOM OF MIND, my heart, my health, my family, my anointing, my church, my city, my relationships, and my finances. This is my year for divine alignment. What was scattered, come on, must come back together. ((music playing)) What was broken will be restored.
Heaven's version of me, thank you, Lord, ((music playing)) is ready to rise. I will not fight against the wind. Wherever it blows, I will go. Use me to do whatever, however, whenever. ((music playing)) This is my year. Come on, church. This is my year to pray more passionately, fast more fervently, and be more devoted daily.
I renounce every lie. I rebuke every idol. And I repent for doing things my way. You know what you're doing? Take everything and give me you. My worship is my strongest place. And your response to surrender is revival. ((music playing)) Here we go. I receive. I receive. I receive the winds of revival in every area of my life in Jesus' name.
Amen. Shout like you believe it. >> ((music playing)) >> We ready? Shout like you believe it. >> ((music playing)) >> While you shouting, y'all make some noise for this beautiful choir. I love y'all. Thank y'all so much. We got one more, y'all. We got one more. You got it. >> ((applause)) >> Hey, before you sit down, would you turn in your Bibles to Hebrews very quickly?
I'm going to read just a few verses. And then you'll be able to sit for the next few moments, and I'm going to share a word from God. They gave me 20 minutes to get it out, so we're going to have to move fast today. Somebody say, "That's all right with me."
I'm going to take my time. No, I'm not. I'm not going to take my time. I I can't. Hebrews 10. We're going to start at verse 19. You ready? Here we go. Therefore, brothers and sisters, thank you, Lord. Since we have confidence, mm. Tell somebody, "I got confidence."
Now, you can't say that if you ain't got Jesus, so don't We have confidence to enter the most holy place ((music playing)) by the blood of Jesus. I'm afraid we're in a generation where we talk about a lot of stuff. We don't talk about the blood enough. By a new and living way open for us, Jesus.
It's new and it's living. This way is open for us through the curtain, >> ((music playing)) >> that is his blood. And since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and [snorts] having our bodies washed with pure water.
Jordan Sunday. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess. For he who promised is Does anybody know him to be faithful? I said, "Does anybody know him to be faithful?" My God. This faith, this hope we have, we can put it in the faithful one. The Bible says, "When we are faithless, he is still faithful.
He cannot deny himself." Does anybody know him to be faithful? I got a brief message for you. I'm already 2 minutes in, so I got to step on the gas. Four words. He made a way. Do me a favor, tell three people he made another way. He made another way.
He made another way. Lord Jesus, breathe on your word. Do a new thing. Do an old thing. I decrease. Give me strength. In Jesus' ((music playing)) name. Amen. He made a way. The Bible says he made a new and living way. There's a lot of things that I love about my God.
I have a lot of reasons to praise him. Several reasons. The clothes on my back. My mind still being intact. The roof over my head. The food on my I got a lot of reasons to praise him. Matter of fact, I can't really go down memory lane cuz then I start losing control a little bit.
I found myself like my baby girl in the green dress that says, "You know what? Move out of my way. I got to get some open space because I'm starting to think about the ways that he made. I'm starting to THINK ABOUT THE FACT THAT I SHOULD NOT be here today."
See, some of y'all said Diddy and Bougie and YOU GOT AMNESIA. YOU FORGOT WHAT GOD DID FOR YOU. YOU FORGOT how wretched, how nasty, how trifling you used to be. BUT A GOOD GOD reached down low, PICKED YOU UP OUT OF THE MUCK That's what he used to say, "The muck and mire clay."
Picked you up, turned you around, and put your feet on solid ground. He is a way-making kind of God. Well, I was standing there with my wife worshipping. She said, "It just dawned on me that today, Resurrection Sunday, is the 12th anniversary of when God miraculously resealed my womb."
When my water broke at 21 weeks. I said, "You know what? You're right about that. It's the anniversary of our miracle. It's the anniversary of when the doctor said, 'It's no way your son is going to make it BECAUSE HER AMNIOTIC FLUID level dropped down to a 1. 1.45.'" It's supposed to be above a 10.
That was the little boy up HERE WITH THE TWIST. HE HAD NO FLUID AROUND HIM TO SURVIVE. But God, >> ((cheering)) >> who is rich in mercy. Huh. But God, who is faithful and true. But God, WE PRAYED. I SAID, "GOD, YOU MADE her body, so you can make a way in her body.
God, I need you to enter in. Do what the doctors can't do. Reseal her womb." Y'all, it was on Easter Sunday of 2014 that God himself entered her womb, resealed it, and refilled it on Easter from 1.45 to above 12. 12 >> ((music playing)) >> ounces OF THE FLUID. HOW IN THE WORLD DID IT HAPPEN?
BECAUSE YOUR GOD CAN DO ANYTHING, EVERYTHING, WHATEVER, HOWEVER, whenever he want to. HE'S A GOD THAT CAN MAKE a way. And maybe your testimony ain't that he gave you fluid to survive, BUT YOUR GOD PUT ANGELS AROUND YOU AND KEPT YOU FROM DANGERS SEEN AND UNSEEN. BULLETS THAT HAD YOUR NAME ON IT.
CAR WRECKS that had your name on ((music playing)) it. Demons that were assigned to take your mind. BUT YOUR GOD INTERVENED. I NEED 100 PEOPLE AND a 15-year-old that ain't too proud to GIVE HIM A PRAISE FOR MAKING A WAY. HE'S a God who can make a way. HE'S A GOD THAT CAN MAKE RIVERS in the desert.
He's a God that can make a way in the wilderness. ((music playing)) He's a way-making kind of God. I don't know how, but he did it. When they checked her fluid level, sonographer said, "I've been doing this for 20 years." She said, "I've never witnessed anything like this before." She said, "The only possible conclusion I don't even know what she was a believer.
SHE SAID, "THIS HAD TO BE A MIRACLE." THIS IS WHAT SHE SAID. SHE SAID, "WHOEVER IT IS THAT YOU PRAY TO, >> ((cheering)) >> HE SAID, 'I NEED YOU TO COME BACK TO THE HOSPITAL and pray for other people.'" We said, "Baby girl, we can introduce you right now.
I'm going to tell you who we pray to. His name is Jesus. Mary's baby, Jesus. Rose of Sharon, Jesus. Lily of THE VALLEY, JESUS. BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR, JESUS. ALPHA AND OMEGA, JESUS. And if I got any demon deliverees in the room, I need you to take yourself 10 seconds. >> ((music playing)) >> BLESS THAT WONDERFUL NAME.
HEY. BLESS THAT WONDERFUL NAME. His name is Jesus. And he is a professional at making ways. >> ((cheering)) >> HE GOT A PHD in waymaker. I like what my wife says about doctors, she's one of them. She says this about doctors. She said, "I'm going to tell you something about physicians and doctors.
They practice medicine." She said, "My God don't practice anything." He's not new to this, he's true to this. I don't know why I feel like turning up, but I'm going to give you 15 MORE SECONDS TO JOIN THE PARTY AND PRAISE YOUR WAYMAKER. HE DO THIS. >> ((music playing)) >> HE made a way.
He made >> ((applause)) >> a way. He made a way. And I don't know who needs to hear that on this Resurrection Sunday. That the very thing you're stressed out about, the way has been made. One of my favorite homies from the Bible, name is David. Love him so much, so named my first son, my miracle baby, David Jason.
I love David because everybody else saw a giant. David saw a door. They were stressed. Bible says everybody was scared. Just running to the tent, trembling. He big, y'all. David walked out and said, "WHO WHO IS THIS UNCIRCUM- FIRST OF ALL, YOU AIN'T EVEN COVENANT. I CAN'T BE SCARED OF YOU CUZ I GOT PROTECTION YOU DON'T HAVE. >> ((cheering)) >> WHO IS THIS UNCIRCUMCISED PHILISTINE that dare to talk junk about my God?
He said, "YOU COME AT ME WITH SWORD AND JAVELIN AND SPEAR and armor. I don't need none of that. So, here go your stuff. I come at you in the name of my Lord." >> ((music playing)) >> I need YOU TO SHOUT HIS NAME ONE more time. Tell every giant fall down.
Shout his name till every ((music playing)) mountain move. Shout his name till every Red Sea opens. Shout his name till ((music playing)) cancer leave your body. Shout his name till your marriage come back together. Shout his name till your kids get off of drugs. Shout the name ((music playing)) that's above every name. He's a way making God.
((music playing)) He's a way making God. He's a way MAKING GOD. WELL, TRAVIS, HOW CAN YOU BE SO CONFIDENT? I mean, you talking like you like you don't just believe this, you talking like you really know this. The reason I know that he made a way is because he's never caught by surprise.
He anticipates every attack. That's why it's always YOU KNOW THE FUNNIEST VERSES IN THE BIBLE? Are the ones when people like us try to give God their resume. You would remember Gideon in the winepress who said, "What do you mean, me? I can't be a mighty warrior. I'm I'm a wimp.
I'm the weakest. HE SAID, "MY TRIBE IS THE WEAKEST. I AIN'T ONLY THE WEAKEST. YOU SEEN MY DADDY? ALL OF THEM WEAK." JEREMIAH SAID, "WHO, ME? I'M TOO YOUNG." MOSES SAID, "WHO, ME? I don't talk right." ABRAHAM SAID, "WHO, ME? I'M TOO OLD." AIN'T IT FUNNY THESE PEOPLE TRY TO TELL THE WAY MAKING GOD ABOUT THEIR LIMITATIONS.
AS IF HE DIDN'T KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS BEFORE HE CALLED YOU. And he's ah, IT'S CALLED THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD. HE HE'S SO GOOD AT THIS THAT HE ALREADY PROVIDED WHAT WAS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO FILL THE ASSIGNMENT before he called you to it. That's why HE RESPONDED TO JEREMIAH.
JEREMIAH, you talking to me about your age, but before I even formed you in your mother's womb, I made a way. Jamal, do you hear what I'm telling you? I don't stress about promises. It's insulting to God. There's a mama in here. I feel this in my right side.
Wait, that side. There's a mama in here that's stressed out about a child. IF YOU HAVE A PROMISE, your stress is an insult to God. >> [screaming] >> There's a scripture for this. They woke Jesus UP IN A PANIC CUZ A TSUNAMI WAS HAPPENING AND the boat was going down.
And this was not the Carnival. This was a little ghetto boat. And they were starting to sink and Jesus was taking a nap. And they said, "Bro, we finna die." He got up and said, "Peace be still." First he spoke to the storm. Then he spoke to his brothers.
He said, "Y'all, where's your faith? I JUST TOLD Y'ALL BEFORE WE GOT ON THE BOAT WE GOING TO THE OTHER SIDE. YOUR STRESS IN THE MIDST OF MY PROMISE IS AN INSULT." >> ((cheering)) ((applause)) >> Why you stressing when he resting? God said, "I already spoke to that." Ah, do me a favor, punch your neighbor in the kneecap and tell them he already spoke to that.
You keep praying and asking God to repeat himself. He said, "I ALREADY SPOKE TO THAT. QUIT CRYING ABOUT THESE BILLS. I ALREADY SPOKE TO THAT. QUIT CRYING ABOUT THIS X-RAY. I ALREADY SPOKE TO THAT. QUIT CRYING ABOUT" DO YOU HEAR WHAT I'M TELLING YOU? God says, "I ALREADY SPOKE TO IT.
YOU GOT A PROMISE THAT I MADE A way before you had a problem." He's not going to tell me that. I got to move. Well, some of you may be asking the question, "If he's so good at making a way and he's alpha and he's omega, then why would a good God even create this angel that fell called Lucifer if he knew Lucifer would rebel against him?"
What a question. I don't have the full answer, but I do have one answer worth wrestling. Maybe God created Lucifer, who he knew would rebel against him, for the same reason he created you, >> ((cheering)) >> knowing you would rebel against him. >> ((applause)) >> Perhaps God has enough wisdom and knowledge to understand that the only way there could be true love is that there has to be a decision of a loyalty.
It's not love if you don't have the freedom to decide. It's not worship if you don't have the freedom to decide. And so God made a way. He started in the beginning. In the beginning, there was nothing and God, being all sufficient, all knowing, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient. He didn't need anything.
He's Elohim. And he was chilling. And then he decided as a king with a kingdom to expand his kingdom and create a colony that he called Earth. And on this colony, he created a manager called man. And said, "Man, your job is to manage, to take care of this garden, and also to have fellowship with me.
I'm a God that wants to talk with you, walk with you, stay with you. I'm a God who wants companionship, communion with the very thing I created." But Adam and Eve got it wrong. They're given everything but this tree. And Adam and Eve took liberties into their own hand.
They lost the battle over flesh, took from a tree, and here came sin. Well, your Jesus, the second Adam, he didn't take from a tree, he hung on a tree. He overcame the battle of flesh. Here came salvation. And now we have a way to the tree of life because he made one for us.
But from Adam to Jesus, man was separated from God. And so God devised a plan. He said, "You know what? I want to have communion with man. I want TO REST WHERE THEY ARE." AND SO HE SAID, "MOSES, I WANT YOU TO DO ME a favor. I want you to build me a tent of meeting.
It's a tabernacle. I need you to build this place and I'm going TO TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT TO DO BECAUSE it's going to model heaven. There has to be a place, mm, that's conducive to my dwelling." He's a king, don't forget that. Not only is he a king, here's a greater title, he's holy.
And because he's holy, he cannot exist. He can't stay where sin is. It's impossible. So, he says, "I need you to make this place and I need you to make it as holy as you can by doing everything that I tell you. Create it in the pattern that I am to give you, Moses."
And so Moses creates this tent of meeting. Within the tent of meeting, there is the most holy place that houses the ark of covenant. On the ark of the covenant, there's a mercy seat. It didn't look like much in the natural eyes, but a lot of things was happening in the spiritual realm.
It is where God would enthrone himself on Earth, on this mercy seat. This is why you couldn't just go up behind this curtain cavalier, casual. If you go behind there and you're not ready, you're fixing to die. It was over. It was over for you. It took a lot of sacrifices in in for God to come and stay.
And because God wanted to be here, he gave himself a temporary visa. Now, temporary visa can get you into a country into a place where you're not from, but you got to be there temporarily, not permanently. You don't get that type of residence unless you were born there unless somebody decides to give you a green card.
Matter of fact, it takes a lot of work. It's a lot of hoops in order to become a citizen of a place you're not from. But if you're a citizen, you get perks, you know, get a passport. You get protected by the military. You get to own stuff.
You get a voice. You can vote. You do what you want to. And so God said, "You know what? I'm not from there, but I am going to create myself a temporary visa so I can come and visit man. It's just temporary. It's not permanent. And in order for me to come, I'm going to create and establish standards, laws, sacrifices in order to create A PLACE WHERE I can come and rest."
Ladies and gentlemen, it's the first time since the garden at this tent that he was resting with mankind. It was a big deal. They would have to kill all of these animals and present it to them, but once a year they had a day that was called the day of atonement.
On this day they would take lamb's blood and it was a big deal and the high priest would go behind the veil and sprinkle his lamb's blood on the on the mercy seat and everybody would stand outside and hope that he was holy enough to come back out of there because if he wasn't, they were going to have to drag his body out by the rope that he went in with.
It was a dangerous thing to be in the presence of God. But it took animals and animals. Imagine how many animals died for hundreds and hundreds of years just [laughter] to be able to have access to this place. Well, over the Bible says, I want you to check this scripture out.
It's in Hebrews chapter 10, verse 3. Very, very powerful scripture. It says this. It says, "But those SACRIFICES ARE AN ANNUAL reminder of sins. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." Look at the Bible. "Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said, 'Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, BUT A BODY YOU prepared for me.'" How powerful is that? "With burnt offerings and sin offerings, you were not pleased." "Then I said," this is Jesus talking, "Here I am.
It is written about me in the scrolls. I have come to do your will, my God." Do you see what is happening here? Jesus says, he sits up from his throne and says, "Send me. I'll go." He says, "There's no one else." He searched and there was no one else that could be worthy that could be found worthy enough to make the ultimate sacrifice.
And so Jesus did what priests couldn't do because priests always took animal's blood. But what Jesus, he said, "I'm not going to take the blood of an animal. I will become the lamb." This is why he walks up and John and his cousin, John the Baptist, says, "Behold, the lamb of God to take away the sins of the world."
He was both the high priest and the lamb. HE SAYS, "I'M GOING TO ESCORT MYSELF as a sacrifice and do something that no man can do." The Bible makes it plain in Hebrews 9 and 12, "With his own blood." Look at this. Ladies and gentlemen, you can't just read the Bible.
John John told you you got to read the Bible. "With his own blood, not the blood of goats and calves, he entered the most holy place woo once for all time and secured our redemption forever." I'm going home, ladies and gentlemen. Tell your neighbor, "He made a way."
What goats and calves and lambs couldn't do, he said, "I'm going to do once and for all." He made a way. And your body says that the Bible says that his body was torn representing the curtain, this veil that they had to go behind to make sacrifice. As a matter of fact, when he died on the cross, the Bible tells us that the curtain, the veil was ripped from the top to the bottom, not the bottom to the top because it was ripped from the bottom to the top.
START IT FROM THE BOTTOM. IF HE DID THAT, THEN A MAN COULD HAVE DID IT, BUT HE DIDN'T do that. It ripped from the top to the bottom symbolizing the fact that God opened up a way once AND FOR ALL. WHAT THIS MEANS in layman's terms is that you don't need a priest.
YOU DON'T NEED PTPJ, P Jamal, or P Jim to go ON YOUR BEHALF. BUT WHENEVER you want to, you can enter into the most HOLY PLACE. WHENEVER YOU'RE SICK IN YOUR BODY, you can enter into the most holy place. WHENEVER YOU'RE STRESSED in your mind, you can enter into the most holy place.
WHENEVER YOU JUST NEED TO TAP IN AND NEED A TOUCH ON the hem of his garment, ladies and gentlemen, the good news is that YOU CAN TAP IN AND ENTER INTO THE MOST HOLY PLACE. Do me a favor, grab your neighbor and tell them he made a way.
The truth is it's easy for us to celebrate on this side of the story because we have a advantage and a vantage point. The truth is we're a couple thousand removed from the first Easter. The first resurrection Sunday. It didn't feel like this. There was no lemonade outside.
There was no bouncy houses. There was no DJ in the lobby. There was darkness and despair. Because their leader, the one who claimed to be the Messiah, the one that they had grew up waiting on had finally come. But he was arrested. They stood and waited for him to defend himself.
As a matter of fact, his best friend Peter tried to defend him. He pulled out his glock, I mean his his his his knife. And he said, "I got this, dog." He cut one of the soldiers' ears off. And even as Jesus is being arrested, he stops. He don't make a tweet or post or get online and put a hashtag.
But even for the one who was coming to beat him up, he restores. The Bible says HE PUT HIS EAR BACK ON HIM. And he said, "It's all good. You're going to arrest me. It's all good. I'm going to die. It's all good. But I need your ear restored because in 3 days you're going to hear about something that the grave couldn't keep me, THAT THE STONE COULDN'T BLOCK ME.
IN 3 DAYS HE GOT BACK UP. GRAB YOUR NEIGHBOR AND TELL THEM HE MADE A WAY. OH, YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR ABOUT THIS. THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS. This is THE GOSPEL THAT WHEN NOTHING ELSE COULD HELP, LOVE lifted me. I'm done. There was two friends, TWO OTHER DISCIPLES.
THEY WEREN'T PART OF THE 12 BECAUSE THERE WERE MANY DISCIPLES AND THESE GUYS WERE WALKING. One of them named was Cleopas. He was black. I'm just going to take a wild guess at that. I don't know no white or Hispanic man named Cleopas. Cleopas was walking. His other homie.
It's in Luke chapter 24. And they were complaining. They were like, "Phil, we thought he was the one. Man, we ain't got nothing now." And they're leaving Jerusalem. Isn't it interesting? They're leaving Jerusalem. They're leaving Jerusalem. Headed to Emmaus. And suddenly, Jesus appears behind them. The Bible says in Luke 24, I want you to read it when you get home.
It says, "But they were unable to recognize him." And sometimes you may go through something Chris and you're unable to recognize him. But just because you can't recognize him don't mean he's not there. >> ((cheering)) >> We were in the hospital 12 YEARS AGO. WE COULDN'T recognize if he was But for some reason we felt like he was in it with us.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I won't fear cuz he's with me. Mama, when you had to go THROUGH THAT CANCER, HE WAS WITH YOU. HE'S A GOD THAT'LL BE WITH YOU EVEN when you can't see him. He's there. And they're leaving JERUSALEM.
JERUSALEM LITERALLY means peace. And they're going to Emmaus that literally means comfort. They're leaving peace searching for relief. All sin is is you going down the wrong road looking for relief in the wrong place. What sin don't tell you is that in order to get the temporary relief, some of y'all call it marijuana.
Some of y'all call it premarital sex. Some of y'all call it pornography. I ain't scared of you. Some of y'all Some of y'all Whatever your relief is, whatever your outlet is, whatever it is, I just need to find What you don't understand is that it's temporary. AND YOU'RE LEAVING PEACE FOR RELIEF.
And you're leaving this place because it's hard. I get it. I've been there before. You're saying, "BRO, YOU DON'T understand my story. I need that just to survive another day. I need this drink just to survive. You don't understand what all I've been through." WHAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT PEACE IS NOT THE absence of conflict.
Peace is not the absence of conflict, huh? Peace is the promise of presence. >> ((cheering)) >> In other words, it does not mean that YOU WON'T GO THROUGH ANYTHING over here in Jerusalem. It just means if you hang on long enough, he'll show up and be with you in the middle of it.
Four things those two men learned on that day on the road to Damascus to to to Emmaus. Four things real quick I'm going to give you. Number one, he's a God. He's God enough to walk with you. My God. He'll show up with you. The God that walked with Adam was the God who walked with these men on that road that day.
Now Now only is he God enough to walk with you, he's God enough to talk to you. Bible says he walked with them for 7 miles and began talking to them. Their hearts were filled with questions not knowing that they were hanging out with the answer. Because revival is not emotionalism.
Revival begins with revelation. He's got to talk with you. He's got enough to walk with you. God enough to talk with you. He's He's God enough to stay with you. Something happens in the story you're going to read that they get to this crossroad AND JESUS ACT LIKE HE'S GOING ANOTHER DIRECTION.
And they said, "Wait a minute. Please come stay with us." I like this in the scripture. It shows me THAT HE'LL WALK WITH YOU UNINVITED. But he'll only stay where he's welcomed and wanted. And here's a question for you on this Easter Sunday. Is there enough space in you for him?
Is there enough room in your life for him to stay comfortably? Mm. Have you built him a place? I'm done. Got enough to walk with you, talk to you, stay with you, and he's got enough to wait on you. Something powerful happens. He goes to the house and they sit down at the table and they're hanging out.
The Bible says Jesus takes the bread and he blesses it and he breaks it. And when this happens, their eyes are open. After a full day of being with them, they never saw until he took the bread and broke it. He blessed it and he broke it. He only breaks what he blesses.
He blessed it and he broke it. Broken bread, open eyes. Broken bread, open eyes. And I felt like the Lord wanted me to tell you this Easter that you won't see him in the natural. You won't You won't see the hand of God until you first see him in the spirit.
You got to have a revelation that his body was broken for you, ladies and gentlemen. Life is worth living. It's worth giving him your heart today because he broke his body to make a way. Not only did he make a way, but the Bible says he is the way.
The way was with them the whole time. Hey, the way has been with you the whole time. There's an old song that says he was there all the time. Waiting patiently. He's a patient God. You were in some places and he's just waiting patiently. Remember when you had to have a chaperone back in the day?
Holy Spirit been your chaperone, you didn't even know it. Just waiting patiently. In the wrong bedrooms, he's been waiting patiently. In the club dropping it like it's HOT, he's been waiting patiently. He's a patient Aren't you glad that he's a patient God? He'll walk with you 7 miles.
He'll walk with you 7 years. He'll walk with you. He'll walk with you and talk with you and stay with YOU AND WAIT ON YOU. Until you finally get the revelation, "Wait a minute. It was you? That was supposed to be my funeral. It was you? That was supposed to be my tombstone.
It was you? My life is worth living because he lives. I'm done. Ezekiel, he spoke to those dead and dry bones. But the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. There's a greater Ezekiel. His name is Jesus. He said, "I'm not just going to speak to the dry bones.
I'm going to become it." >> [laughter] >> He said, "I'll die and get down there with you cuz when I get up, we all getting up." Wow. He said, "When I rise, I'm bringing an army with you." And the good news is he got up. This is the greatest revival.
This is the good news that a king would die but that a king would rise. Would you stand with me all over this room? I want you to sign up and be a part of the army. Hey, how tragic would it be if he became one of us in order to get us up?
Hear me. And yet you stayed down. HOW TRAGIC WOULD IT BE? HE WALKED OUT OF THE GRAVEYARD, BUT YOU SAID, "NAH, I'M GOOD HERE. I'm good being dead. I'm good being lost." He said, "I made a way." Listen, so you don't have to stay in the shape that you're in.
Potter wants to put you back together. Again, he is here for you. Before anyone leave, I'm going to give you an opportunity to receive this king as your savior and as your lord. He wants to save you. But when you really receive salvation, you have a revelation that your life no longer belongs to you.
It's not just salvation to just say, "Yeah, I want that." It's also salvation to say, "I want him and I'm done." Do you know what it means to be saved? Not rejecting his work. HE DID THE HARD PART. You got to receive it though. And when you receive it, you receive it with surrender.
That is the great exchange. He gives you everything, you just give him you. It's easy. When I count to three, hands are going to go up. You're going to say, "Man, all right. Finally, I'm ready. I'm going to say yes to him." This yes may cost you something.
It may cost you a current relationship. It may cost you the current life that you're living. It may cost you your circle. But I made a decision to cross before me, the world behind me. I want Jesus over everything. Not God plus. Eyes closed just for a moment.
I'm going to count to three and hands are going to go up. It's a big deal. It's not an emotional decision. He made a way. I believe when he was on that cross, he had the option of getting down. But every time he closed his eyes, he saw your face.
He said, "You're worth it." You're worth it. You're worth the sacrifice. You're worth it. This is your day, a brand new birthday. I want you to receive him as your lord. God, I'm done with me. I want all of you. You ready? One. Two. If that's you, lift that hand high.
Three. Put that hand up high in the air. I want you, Jesus. I'm proud of you, pal. I'm proud of ((applause)) you. I'm proud of you. I see you over here. I'm proud of you. Hey, I see you, young lady. I'm proud of you. In the back, I see you, dear.
I'm proud of you. Come on, keep the hand up. Hey, my man. I see you. I'm proud of you. I see you. >> [applause and music] >> I see you back here. I'm so proud of you. Thank you. Thank you. So many hands up. Do me a favor, keep that hand up until a host get to you.
We need to put a book in their hand. I'm so proud of you. So proud of you. Heaven is rejoicing, man. This is what it's about. Come on. >> ((applause)) >> Hey, we're going to pray together. If someone lifted a hand around you, put a hand on their shoulder for me.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Woo. Come on, breathe in this grace. For some of you, this is the first time you've been able to breathe in a while. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. That's all right. Let the tears flow. You know, if the devil had his way, you wouldn't be here.
He was planning on you taking your life before you got to this moment. He was planning on someone else taking your life before you got to this moment. But you made it because he made another way. Won't you repeat after me? Lord Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for my sins and I believe you got up so I don't have to stay down.
Here I am, a sinner in need of grace. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for being God enough to talk with me, walk with me, stay with me, and wait on me. Today, I receive you as my lord. Change me from the inside out. In Jesus' name.
Amen and amen. Yo, thank you again for tuning in to this message. I pray that something was said or done that touched your life in a deep way. Remember, he's got enough to walk with you. He's got enough to talk ((music playing)) to you. He's got enough to stay with you.
And he's got enough to wait on you. That's the God that we serve. He loves you. He has an an amazing plan for your life. As a matter of fact, if you're watching today and you're far from him, I'm going to give you an opportunity to receive him as your lord and your savior.
Repeat after me. Lord Jesus, I believe >> ((music playing)) >> you died on the cross for my sins and I believe that you got up so I don't have to stay down. I receive you today ((music playing)) as my lord and my savior. Because of you, I'm changed. I'm different. I'm saved now.
In Jesus' name. Amen. Get plugged into a Bible teaching church. Get a community around you so you can continue ((music playing)) to grow in the things of God. I love you so much. Remember, your past is gone. Your future is waiting. Move forward.
