So, we're going to have a good time this evening. Uh so, [sighs] I've been really I can't even say I've been enjoying grace because that's what it is.
It's not a subject. This is literally our lives. And the last thing that I want to do is to participate in some weird scavenger hunt because for some reason there's this kind of for so long there's just been this kind of like looking for the the key to life.
There's you've been looking for what's the answer. You've been looking for the tool, looking for the formula, whatever it may be. But God has not made it hard to find. He has made it quite simple. And I'm going to say how simple this is. This is literally the message.
Jesus finished the race. And it's now our job to remove the crust from people's eyes so that they can see that he is the answer. He is enough. No scavenger hunts are needed when he has already revealed the secret to each of us. One man, Adam, messed it up.
And then one man, Jesus, made it all right. And now we are righteous. We are blameless and we are accepted by God because of what Jesus did. And it was God's plan to fix it in the first place. That's it. That's the message. That's the message. So, the title for my message this evening is Wake up.
You are the righteousness of God. Amen. So, I don't know about you guys, but when I think about the law, like even when you think about of course being righteous and so forth, you think about the commandments, you think about the law, and all of the above. Uh all I can honestly say is thank you, Jesus.
All I can say is thank you, Jesus. And the reason why I say that is because when you think about how perfect the law is. When you think about all that God literally required. Again, it was not 10. 600 and 13. Not 10. There's a whole lot of laws that there are not one person in this world that can keep up with it.
If you can, I I boy, you're lying. You're lying. Because it was perfect and to be truthful, perfect is an understatement. And for me just kind of reading through I don't know if everybody has even taken the time to kind of read through whether it's Leviticus, just kind of seeing like everything that went into the law.
It's stressful. Like stressful because people just dying, dropping dead left and right because they just couldn't make it. And I'm sitting there like, "Jesus, thank you. Uh because I don't know about y'all. I mean, I've heard the stories about when men try to do that groceries for ladies.
They tell them to get a potato and they get something else. And I'm like, "Uh you literally just missed the mark already. So, you would have been dropping dead." Amen. So, I want us to start here. We're going to go to Leviticus chapter 10. I'm going to start at verse one in the New Living Translation.
Now, this is just one example, but I I shared this last night at Shift. For those that don't know it, my my wife and y'all and I, we are the young adult pastors of the most amazing young adult ministry in the whole wide world. Shift College and Young Adult Ministry.
Shameless plug. But last night this actually came up. So, it was just fitting to share it today. So, it reads, "Aaron's son, Nadab and Abihu, put coals of fire in their incense burners and sprinkled incense over them. In this way, they disobeyed the Lord by burning before him the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded.
So, fire blazed forth from the Lord's presence and burned them up and they died there before the Lord for burning the wrong fire. And then Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the Lord meant when he said, 'I will display my holiness through those who come near me.
I will display my glory before all the people.'" And Aaron was silent. Why was he silent? Cuz his sons just died. But then Moses called for Mishael and Elzaphan, and Aaron's cousins, the sons of Aaron's uncle, Uzziel. He said to them, "Come forward and carry away the bodies of your relatives from in front of the sanctuary and place them outside the camp."
Aaron is still standing there stuck. And his cousins got to pick up his sons to move the bodies out from in front of the sanctuary. So, they came forward and picked them up by their garments and carried them out of the camp just as Moses had commanded. That's not all.
And then Moses said to Aaron and his sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, "Do not show grief by leaving your hair uncombed or by tearing your clothes. If you do, you going to die. And the Lord's anger will strike the whole community of Israel. However, the rest of the Israelites, your relatives, may mourn because of the Lord's fiery destruction of Nadab and Abihu.
But you must not leave the entrance of the tabernacle or you will die. For you have been anointed with the Lord's anointing oil. So, they did they did as Moses commanded." Now, I'm sharing this because I'm sitting there like, You mean to tell me these boys burned the wrong incense, died in front of me, and I'm not supposed to cry?
Or I'm going to die? I'm not supposed to feel nothing or I'm going to die? And then everybody else going to get the repercussions of what just happened? And I better not show any type of grief for what just happened or I'm going to die because they burned the wrong fire?
And you talking about you can keep up with 10? With all your degrees and your smart self. Just so smart. They burned the wrong incense. And their dad, Aaron, couldn't even grieve the loss of his sons. And I'm just sitting here and I'm thinking about this one example and I'm like, "How many opportunities would I have died for missing the mark?"
If you burning the wrong incense and you dying, WHAT WHAT WHAT can I do? And all I can sit up here and say is, "Thank you, Jesus." Thank you, Jesus. And I this I know this it's not really extreme because it's the Bible cuz there's a whole lot of stuff.
If you read the Bible, you'll see like, "Oh snap, that's crazy." But I'm sitting there and I'm like, "Lord, what you did so I don't have to deal with, put up with, go through this stuff because of what you did?" It makes you start to really see, "Oh, you really finished it all because I couldn't."
I couldn't even do it if I tried. Amen. So, again, I can't do this life without Jesus. I can't. I can't. I I I don't know about you guys. I don't know about how strong you are. I don't know about all the stuff you how many times you don't fasted for 365 days.
You you memorize every single scripture. I don't know, maybe you got all the revelation, but I can't do it without Jesus. Amen. So, let's go to Romans chapter 3. Romans chapter 3, I'm going to start at verse 21 in the message translation. And it says, "But in our time, something new has been added."
I said, "In whose time?" "In our time, something new has been added. What Moses and the pro- prophets witnessed to all those years has happened. The God setting things right that we read about has become Jesus setting things right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in him.
For there is no difference between us and them in this. Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners, both us and them, and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us." "Because we are incapable, God did it for us.
And out of sheer generosity, he put us in right standing with himself." A pure gift. He got us OUT OF THE MESS we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. "God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin.
Having faith in him sets us in the clear." "Having faith in him sets us in the clear. God decided this decided on this course of action in full view of the public to set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus. Finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured."
It's not like we were going through about ourselves. Our father was separated from us. And he patiently endured it, and then he set it right by his own son. Now, I know we in church. I know I'm sitting here saying, "Look, man, you're duh." "Duh, of course, I know that.
I I know that. What else you got?" That's it. THAT'S ALL I GOT. THAT'S LITERALLY the answer. And I'm staying here on purpose because we have to understand how simple God has made this for us. He's not hiding it. He put it out in the open. He set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured.
And this is not only clear, but it's now. This is current history. God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in his rightness. So, where does that leave our proud Jewish insider claims and counterclaims? Canceled? Yes. Canceled. What we've learned is this. God does not respond to what we do.
We respond to what God does. We finally figured it out, world changers. Our lives getting step with God and all others by letting him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade. I know y'all sitting there like, "So, you just going to come out the gate start yelling?"
Hey, I'm just passionate, okay? Ain't nobody trying to yell, all right? I've been at home with girls all day, so I'm I'm out with like people, okay? So, I'm sorry. I'm trying to tone it down, but I can't, okay? I'm really excited about what God has done for me.
For me. I'm excited about what he's done for me. All right. All right. All right. So, we're going to go to John chapter 6. I'm setting all this up. All right. John chapter 6. Now, in John chapter 6, a whole lot of stuff happened. At the beginning of the chapter, Jesus fed 5,000 with a two-piece fish dinner.
Shortly after that, he was walking on water to go meet his disciples in the boat. Okay? So, he did all this stuff this just in John chapter 6. But then as we come down to verse 22, it says, "The next morning, the crowds were still on the opposite shore of the lake near the place where they had eaten the bread he had multiplied after he had given thanks to God.
Yet Jesus was nowhere to be found. Well, they realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus's hadn't boarded. And they concluded that his disciples had left him behind. So, when the people saw on the shoreline a number of small boats from Ti- Whoop. The name just left me.
Tiberias. Tiberias. And realized Jesus and the disciples weren't there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum to search for him. When they finally found him, they asked him, "Teacher, how did you get here?" Jesus replied, "Let me make this very clear. You came looking for me because I fed you by a miracle, not because you believe in me."
Pause right there. A moment ago, 5,000 men were fed with fish and bread. No hot sauce. Okay? Just a moment ago. And then they noticed that Jesus didn't board the ship. He didn't board THE BOAT. SO, THEY'RE LIKE, "WELL, he's got to be somewhere. His disciples left him.
Let's go find him." And Jesus is like, "Well, what y'all looking FOR ME FOR?" OH. YOU HUNGRY. You knew that I fed you, so you're sitting there like, "Oh, okay. Well, where's Jesus? Because that was awesome. Let's do it again. Let's do it again. Let's get some more.
Anybody got some some more fish? Some more chicken strips? Something? Because you literally fed us." And Jesus caught it cuz he's like, "I fed you by a miracle. You're not here cuz you believe in me." You're not here because you believe in me. Next verse. "So, why would you strive for food that is perishable and not be passionate to seek the food of eternal life which never spoils?
I, the Son of Man, am ready to give you what matters most. For God the Father has destined me for this purpose." Well, they replied, "So, what should we do if we want to do God's work?" Pause right there. Now, this is very interesting to me. Because they only came to Jesus because Jesus did a miracle.
And they said, "We want some more food." So then, Jesus caught them, or literally he called them out as we say. "Oh, I know your game. I see your motives. I see what you're about." And they're like, "Oh, so you talking about eternal life?" "How we do the stuff you did?"
They're still not even on how do I do I believe in you. They're like, "I just want to do what you did. Give us the keys. Give us the steps. Give us what it is that we need to do so that we can duplicate what you've done. Because if you knew how many people would know me, if I could feed all these people, if you knew how many people would know me if I could do the miracles you do, if you knew what would come my way if you would just give me the answer.
How did you do that, sir?" "How did you do it?" And Jesus answered, because they said, "How do I do the works of God?" Jesus answered, "The work you can do for God starts with believing in the one he has sent." Right back to the beginning of the conversation.
Because you keep trying to refocus or get off of what I'm trying to tell you. The point is, "Believe in me." And you're like, "No, give me something." "Believe in me. That's what I'm giving you." And you're like, "No, no, no. Give me something else that I can do."
And he said, "Believe in me. That's what you need to do. Just believe in me." And that's all he's saying, "Believe in me." And we don't even have to go to it, but in the next verse, they even respond said, "Well, show us another miracle so we can believe."
Isn't that crazy? Isn't that interesting? Because the work that we are here to do starts with believing in the one that God sent. Believe in Jesus. That's it. No filler, no fluff, no sweeteners, Jesus. Nothing else added. It's literally believe in Jesus. And I know I know some of us we we go through we're not even go through.
We're going through this thing called life, you know, we're we're like living and things are happening, and we're like, "I want to know the answer. How do I get out of my situation? I want to know the answer. How do I make this happen? I want to know the answer.
How do I get my needs met? I want to know the answer. How do I get more money? How do I get my spouse? How do I get this, get that? Because we HAVE ALL THESE WISH lists that we say, "Lord, if you don't do this, I don't know if I can believe."
And the whole time he says, "So, you need a miracle to believe? When you actually saw the miracle already?" Cuz if you actually take note, they only came because they saw something. They only came back because they saw something. They saw the feeding of the the thousands of people.
They were there. So, they came looking for him. And now they're saying, "Give us another sign?" For what? What I got to prove to you when I'm God? And I'm saying it because again, many of us are literally living just like those men. Walking around saying, "Lord, where are you?
Show me something. Show me something." He says, "Just believe in me." And we're like, "No, no, no. No. I got you, but no, it got to be something else. It got to be. Just believe in me." "No." "I know what you're saying. I do believe. But show me something." "Believe in me."
And I'm I'm reading this on purpose. I don't know y'all looking at me like, "Why you keep saying it?" Because that's literally the answer. Believe in Jesus. Because everything hinges there. Nothing else. Folks were looking for Jesus because of what he could provide for them, not because of who he is.
Not because of who he is. So, here's my question to each of us. What are your motives? What are you pursuing Christ for? Why do we Why are we here? Why we in Bible study? Why we come to church? Because we love him. Because we love him. I hear you.
Better talk that talk. >> [laughter] >> My point in the question is, is it because of us and what we need, or is it because of him and who he is? Because the reality about everything that we're doing here, coming to church, Bible study, reading the word, all the different things, praying, all of that.
What are you going to do when pressure hits? Because for some reason, when pressure hits, we for some reason forget everything we said we knew. We forget everything we said we knew. Because we know, "Oh, God loves me. I'm the righteousness of God. I'm this. I'm that. Oh, he will provide all my needs.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Oh, yeah, I got it on my wall. Oh, yeah, lean not to my own understanding." And pressure hit, AND WE SAY, "LORD, WHERE ARE YOU? Give me a sign. Give me a miracle. Burn a bush AND TALK THROUGH IT.
DO SOMETHING, cuz I need to know that you're real." And he said, "What happened to what you knew? What happened? Do you actually know what you know? Or does it sound good? Does it look good on paper? Are we just talking the talk, OR ARE WE ACTUALLY living this life?
There was a a group of young men we're very familiar with in the book of Daniel chapter 3, verse 16 through 18, talking about Shadrach, Meshach, and that bad negro. And we know all about them. We know about everything that happened. We know about the whole story. We've read it hundreds of thousands of millions of times.
I'm not going to go through it right now. Okay? But what we know is they were threatened to be burned up in the fire. And the fact that they responded and said, "King Nebuchadnezzar, your threat means nothing to us. If you throw us in the fire, the God we serve can rescue us from your roaring furnace and anything else you might cook up, oh king."
But this is the part we skip past. Even if he doesn't, it still wouldn't make a bit of difference. Do you believe or is it determined by what you don't feel? Does what you believe change when you see something different? What are you actually anchored in? Because they're literally in front of a roaring furnace, being threatened to be thrown in, and they say, "Even if he doesn't deliver us, we're still not going to bow."
What happens when the pressure becomes so strong that now you're shaking, and you're wondering, "Is this it? Is this the end of the line?" And you're like, "I don't KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO." And you're literally quivering, and God is like, "Just believe me.
Just believe me." The same way we saw with Jairus, when his his servant came over and said, "Hey, don't bother Jesus no more. Your daughter is dead." And Jesus turns and says, "Hey, hey, hey, just believe me." What do you do when what you see doesn't line up to what you believe?
When you have your face with this collision of I believe this, and now I'm being met with something that's trying to counter what I believe, and now you're in a point where you have to say, "Will I go, or will I fold?" And everything gets quiet. Because your next move is everything.
What do you actually believe when you have when you have to actually do it? What do you actually believe when you're standing there in the face of it? And you're looking at the storm. The disciples were in a boat in a storm, and Jesus in the back sleep, and they're literally saying, "Lord, Lord, wake up.
We're about to die." And they woke Jesus up from the back of the boat that he was in with them. But when you're faced with the reality, what do you do? What do you do? Do you give up? Do you cave in? You say, "Man, man, bump this.
I ain't doing this no more." Is that it? Is that the end of the road for you? Or do you say, "You know what? Even if he doesn't, it wouldn't make a bit of difference." Cuz I'm not saying things don't happen. I'm not saying things don't happen. Things happen to me.
They happen to you. They happen to your neighbor. They happen to everybody. Because that's called life. But what do you do when things happen? Do you give up? Really think about it. I will never forget this. My wife was in the hospital, we're having our second daughter. And this daughter, our first daughter was born through C-section.
So, of course, and I may have shared this before, whatever just came up, it's not in my notes. >> [laughter] >> But our second daughter, there's a a procedure or a technique or whatever called a V back, where basically you may have had a cesarean before, but now you can also still have a baby vaginally.
But of course, you got to make sure you're doing what you need to do, right? So, my wife always desired we wanted to do the natural childbirth. We had the pool. I said all this before. We we knew what we wanted to do. First baby, didn't do it.
Well, this was always my wife's dream, her vision. She wanted to give a birth give baby give birth, excuse me, naturally. We're in the hospital. My daughter came 5 weeks early. Water break. You're like, "What?" We go to the hospital. They say, "Oh, looks like we got to cut you up."
She said, "I'm not doing it." Now, y'all remember the last time when I shared the first testimony, she said, "Okay, we got to do it." I said, "All right, cool." That's what we did. Well, this time she said, "Nah, let's wait it out, because this is 5 weeks.
It's not like it's 2 days. This is 5 weeks." And when we're sitting there in the hospital, I remember sitting there looking at my wife, and we're going through the whole process, and the the the nurses, the doctors, they keep trying to pressure to say, "Okay, well, you need to do this.
Are you going to do it? All right, well, by Wednesday, by Thursday, at this time, if this stuff hasn't progressed, we're going to have to do what we need to do." And she's like, "Okay." And I kid you not, I wish that I And my wife knows this, that I say this.
One of the male white nurses in the hospital, you ever see somebody you like, "I don't think you actually work here." Like, it's something about you that's just different. Like, you don't You seem like you don't actually belong to this group of people. And this woman, I won't give any descriptions, but this woman, uh she was a strong advocate for my wife.
And she worked for the hospital. She said, "Hey, Mom, do you want to do it this way?" She said, "Yep." She said, "All right, we're going to do it." And she rocked with my wife to the point that it was I remember it was like 3:00 something in the morning.
She's doing the different things she needed to do, and she's helping my wife get ready. And all of a sudden, of course, the the I don't know all the terms. She start opening up. >> [laughter] >> You know, when it start, you know, in parent ladies, you know. Thank you.
It's escaping me. So, all the things were happening, and I remember sitting there like, "Wait. You desired to do it this way. And the pressure to back up and say, "Well, I guess it just won't happen." was there. However, you believe that God set this up for you to do it this way.
And everything was trying to say it won't be this way. And all of a sudden, this this woman comes in at 3:00 in the morning, and they literally changed the course of what the doctors were saying. They said, "Oh, I guess we're going your way." I guess we're going to do it your way.
Because the cervix opened up, because everything opened up. And I remember watching my wife. I don't know if anybody watched Dragon Ball Z, but it's a show, and >> [laughter] >> in the show they they do this thing called Super Saiyan, where they like charge up to a new level.
THEY'RE LIKE, "AH!" SO, ANYWAY, I remember watching my wife give birth, and I promise she went Super Saiyan. She went Super Saiyan, and I'm watching her like, "Who is this woman?" Because she First of all, she wasn't in a normal position. She was the way she wanted to go.
And the way that this baby came out, and the the noise that I heard come from her, the strength, and the I literally saw God move through her. Because even if he doesn't, it wouldn't make a bit of a difference. BECAUSE SHE KNEW WHAT GOD WAS GOING TO DO.
SHE DID NOT FALL BACK OFF OF WHAT SHE BELIEVED. SHE KNEW GOD was going to show up. Even though the doctors said, "Nah, it ain't going to happen. It ain't going to happen. You got to do it our way. You got to do it our way." She said, "No, I'm doing it this way, cuz this is what I believe."
This is what I believe. AND WHAT HAPPENED? THEY were literally prepared saying, "The baby's 5 weeks early. We got the NICU ready. We got this ready. We got all this stuff ready." And the baby came out, and they said, "Oh, uh I guess we don't need no NICU.
This baby is actually perfect." And she is. 5 years old last week. >> ((cheering)) >> But I'm even if God doesn't show up, we're not going to bow. What do you do when the pressure's on, where you have to make the decision, and everybody's looking at you saying, "What you going to do?"
What do you do? Are you going to give up, or are you going to say, "No, even if he doesn't come through, I'm not going to bow to this." Now, I know you're sitting there I I know I know the pressure. I know. Because I've been there, where you're like, "I ain't trying TO BOW.
HOWEVER, >> [laughter] >> I AIN'T BOWING, BUT IT STILL AIN'T HAPPENING." I get it. And God has a way that even when you say, "I haven't bowed. I didn't fall back, and something had to happen." that he still shows up on the other side. I just want to make sure you was trusting.
And he still shows up and you're like, "Well, I didn't see this coming. I didn't see this happening." Why? Because God is still God. Amen. >> ((applause)) >> Matthew chapter 7. Verse 26 and 27 in the message. It says, "But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach.
When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a HOUSE OF CARDS. WHAT have we been building, world changers? What are we What have we been building? We're not building a house of cards. WE ARE NOT BUILDING A HOUSE OF CARDS. YOU mean to tell me all this word has been coming forth from this pulpit for all these years, we're not building some house of cards.
But what are you doing with it? What are you doing with it? What is the Bible studies for? What are you here for right now? To say, "Oh, this was good. Yeah, this was good. He smiled a lot." What are you talking about? I don't know. He was loud though.
He was loud and happy. It felt good. No, we're not doing this for that. It's not for the clicks, it's not for the giggles, it's not for the claps. It's for change. That's why it's world changers. So, your change your world can be changed. And then you can go out and change someone else's world.
Why? Because they're looking at you. They're watching you. They're watching how you move. They're watching how you operate. They're watching how you respond to the thing called life. Amen. So again, my question to each of us, do we believe Jesus or not? >> [clears throat] >> Colossians chapter 3. Let me hurry up.
I got a couple more scriptures. I was like, I ain't I was thought I was good anyway. Colossians chapter 3 verse 1. So, if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. If you're serious about it, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides.
Don't shuffle along eyes to the ground absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up and be alert to what's going on around Christ. That's where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead, world changers. Your new life, which is your real life, even though invisible to spectators, is with Christ in God.
He is your life. Now, when Christ, your real life, remember, shows up again on this earth, you'll show up too, the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity like Christ, world changers. I'm going to read that again from the Mirror translation. That's so that way I can do what I need to do.
See yourselves co-raised with Christ. Now, ponder with persuasion the consequence of your co-inclusion in him. Relocate yourselves mentally. Engage your thoughts with throne room realities where you are co-seated with Christ in the executive authority of God's right hand. Becoming affectionately acquainted with throne room thoughts will keep you from being distracted again by the earthly soul realm.
Your union with him Your union with his dead This his dead broke What? Your union with his dead broke the association with that world. What I say? Lord Jesus. See, I'm really excited. Your union with his death broke the association with that world. See yourselves located in a fortress where your life is hidden with Christ in God.
The unveiling of Christ as defining our lives immediately implies that what is evident in him is equally mirrored in you. The exact life on exhibit in Christ is now repeated in us. We are included in the same bliss and joined oneness with him. Just as his life reveals you, your life reveals him.
Now, we have to allow our lives to be visible. Because our lives are tangible proof of the reality of who Christ is in you. And you will awaken others to this reality. Because your life is what they read. We know this. We We know that we're living epistles.
We know this. But they're literally reading your life. So, ensure that your pages are authored by him. What is it that they're reading when they see you? Are they reading somebody that they say this one thing, but they live it another way? Are they wondering, "Who am I going to come in contact with when I meet you?"
Are they wondering, "Well, who is this? What do you actually stand for?" Are they seeing somebody that smiles in their face, but is real mean and nasty? What are they seeing when they see you? What do you believe? We got to live this life the way we believe it, otherwise they're going to be confused.
Because they're looking at you. It's weird It's weird to me to have daughters and look at them and say, "Man, where do you get that from?" Now, this is the crazy part. I sometimes ask that question about both my daughters. "Where do you get that from?" Who are they spending their time with?
They get it from me. The way they act, THE WAY THEY RESPOND, sometimes sarcasm, the way they the way their silliness, the way they may giggle at things, the way they may take some things not so serious. They're getting it from me and their mama. Because that's who they're around.
What are people getting from you? Because we literally criticize people, but they're getting it from you. They're getting it from you. What are you giving them? What are you showing them? What life do you actually believe? First Peter and I'm almost done. First Peter chapter 2. And it reads like this in the Passion translation, verse 9. "But you are God's chosen treasure, priests who are kings, a spiritual nation set apart as God's devoted ones.
He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. For at one time, you were not God's people. There was a time that you weren't God's people.
But now you are. And at one time you knew nothing of God's mercy because you haven't received it yet. But now, you are drenched with it. I said you are drenched drenched with God's mercy. You are soaking in God's mercy. Let's read the same thing from the Mirror translation.
It reads, "You are proof of the authentic generation. You give testimony to the original idea of the royalty of true priesthood. You are a perfect prototype of the mass of the human race. You are the generation of people who exhibit the conclusion of the prophetic poetic thought of God that has come full circle.
You publish the excellence of his elevation and displayed that your authentic identity has been rescued out of obscurity and brought into his spectacular light. You were once a people without identity. But now, but have now discovered the integrity of your original identity in God. Where there was no mercy under the cruel judgment of the law of works sponsored by the I am not tree system, you have now received much mercy.
I'm going to close with this. Everything about our lives is to reflect all that he is. I know that I I make things I I I purpose to make things so simple because I believe that God is not complicated. And yet at the same time, it's so easy to twist things up, to miss the whole point, to miss the whole picture.
As I said at the beginning, Jesus actually finished it for you. That's not some mysterious, some sprinkled dust, some fairy message. This is actually a real thing. Because when you actually are able to embrace what he actually did, it starts to make you kind of Wait. Is this really real?
You mean to tell me you actually love me. You mean to tell me you actually chose me. You mean to tell me you actually know me. You mean to tell me that even when I'm messing up and I'm going through things and I'm being sneaky and I'm thinking I'm hiding something, you actually see me, you're actually with me, you actually go with me, and you still show mercy to me.
You mean to tell me that even when I mess up, you still cause things to work together for my good. You mean to tell me you're thinking that much of me that regardless of what I've done, you still decided to love me, and I couldn't do anything about it.
And it makes you start to wonder, well, why would you? Why would you see me this way? Why would you love me like this? BECAUSE I DON'T MEASURE UP. I COULDN'T MEASURE UP. NOT ONLY COULD I NOT FULFILL THE LAW, I CAN'T FULFILL WHAT I SAID I'm going to do today.
I lack discipline. I I lack a lot of things. I I question everything. I overthink so many things. AND I STILL WONDER, WELL, WHY WOULD YOU PICK ME? AND GOD SAID, "Because I want to." BECAUSE I WANT TO. >> ((applause)) >> AND WHAT THAT DOES when you start to really take in this reality, it starts to say, "Wait a second.
I don't want to do this. I don't want to live like this. I don't want to be sneaky. I don't want to cuss this person out. I DON'T WANT TO BE a nasty sneaky person. I don't want to because I realize what he's done for me has now freed me from the way that I was and now I'm able to see clearly THAT I'M DIFFERENT.
I'm different. I don't fit the mold anymore. And it's all because of what he did. It has nothing to do with you. It has nothing to do with any of us. It's all his plan. It's all his idea. And all he wants us to do is to embrace our true identity because he gave it to us.
Our identity didn't come from some some person down the street or our basketball coach in the fourth grade, you will never be nothing. It came from the one who created us that says, "I know the plans that I have for you." I know it. And I've literally caused it all to work together for you.
I just want you to align with what I said. I want you to align with what I said. I WANT YOU TO RECOGNIZE THAT THIS WHOLE THING has been planned out for you. Because I have people tied to you. I have people that need to see how I'm moving through you.
Just as you are. Not that you have to be like this person or that person. You can't. You're not supposed to be. God knows how to express himself through someone that's from New York, through someone that's really country, through someone that's very bougie, through through someone that that got IT ALL TOGETHER, THAT'S SOMEONE THAT they stutter a lot, that's someone he like he knows how to get it out through you so that the people that he needs to reach can hear it and understand it because they see you.
But the whole time you will literally that like downplay this because you're like, "Oh, I don't fit the mold. I'm not like this person." Nobody's like no person. You're just like God. You're just like God. You're just like God. So the way that you are, you have to embrace your identity because these people are crying.
They're suffering. They're wondering. They have ALL THESE QUESTIONS. AND THE WHOLE TIME WE GOT THE ANSWER. We're not IN BIBLE STUDIES JUST TO HOARD UP ALL these receipts like, "Yep, I came ON APRIL 1ST. AND I CAME last week. I was there on Easter. I've been there all the time.
Look how many times I gave." Listen, I'm sorry but excuse my French, who cares? Who actually cares? >> ((applause)) >> WHO ACTUALLY CARES? BECAUSE what is that going to give you? Really think about it. What is it going to give you? Oh, I gave $10,000 this Sunday. Great. God told you to do it, right?
Yep. You want a reward? If you did what God told you to do, just do it. It may It matters nothing else but did God tell you to do it? The other The other Sunday my wife and I we went out for brunch. And I I wouldn't even think about telling telling this.
But we went out for brunch and as we sat down there was a young couple sitting next to us. And I literally heard God say, "Pay for their meal." Now I've heard different things before. I'm going to tell you the truth. I'll be like, "Mhm. Uh you know, I don't know if you're really saying [laughter] that."
Like uh the way my checking account and my savings account set up, like I don't know if it's really I don't know WHAT THEY GOT, RIGHT? And but God told me and he said, "Tell your wife." I said, "All right." I said, "Hey babe, God said to pay for their stuff."
She was like, "Okay." I was like, "All right. Cool. All right, so this is what we're going to do." Now I'm thinking, "How am I going to do it without them knowing?" How am I going to do it? Because it's not about them saying, "Oh, thank you, sir.
You're so nice. Where do you go to church? Can I come too? Oh, what do you know? Can I be a part of whatever you're doing?" That had nothing to do with it. That's not what God told ME TO DO. ALL HE SAID WAS PAY FOR THEIR FOOD.
So finally I went to the bathroom. And when I got in the bathroom I said, "Man, you ain't tell me to do that." I like yeah and I promise you I was not going to do it. As I come out of the restroom, my wife caught eyes. She said, "There's the waitress, go tell her."
I said, "Thank you." >> [laughter] >> I was like, "All right, we're really doing this." And I tell the waitress, I said, "Hey, can you put their stuff on our tab?" She was like, "Okay, no problem." I was like, "Cool." At the end of the service, they're still eating.
It's a young couple. They're still eating. And we're sitting there we're signing our stuff and she said, "If they ask, what do you want me to tell them?" God told me to tell them God loves them. I didn't don't tell them that it was me. Don't tell them it was my wife.
Don't tell them it was the people sitting across from you. Just tell them that God loves them. That was it. I have no idea who these people are. I don't know if I will ever run into a into them again. But it was a specific reason why God told me to give and all he wanted to know is will you do what I said?
Because there's something on the other side of you being able to hear the simple step and take it. But we're looking for all the claps. We're looking for all of the the excitement, all of the yeah, I know when I do this, this going to happen. THIS AIN'T NO CRAPS.
THIS AIN'T NO SLOT MACHINE. This ain't no lottery. This is a real life with a real God that really wants to involve HIMSELF IN EVERY STEP OF YOUR LIFE. WILL you be open and say, "Okay, Lord, send me."? Because these people are wondering, "Where is God?" And if you could show up and say, "Well, God told me to do this not because I want you to look at me but because God said to do it."
What does that do for them? I'll tell you what it does. Jesus walking on the water, Peter in the boat. Peter says, "Lord, if that's you, tell me to come." Jesus says, "It's me. Come." He steps out of the boat. He begins to walk. Now we know that the story continues that by saying that he began to he began to sink.
Now of course beginning to sink is a thought. You don't begin to sink when you step in a tub. You hit the floor. So beginning to sink is a thought. However, what would have happened if his mind stayed fixed and focused on Jesus? Not so much to him.
To the rest of the people in the boat. What would have happened to everyone else that was trying to hold him back from stepping out on what God told him to do? What would have happened to them? What would have happened to their faith when they saw their boy stepping out of this boat and doing what nobody else can do because Jesus told him to?
What I'm saying is what will happen when you do what God tells you to do even though nobody else can hear it? That when they look up and they say, "Oh, you did that? You just trusted God?" And they see on the other side all that it had to do with is I would just say yes because I'm setting up a long trail of yeses for you.
If everything works for you, why are you worried about it not working? Or do you not believe that? Do you see how simple God is making this for us? I just want you to say, "I believe in the one that you sent." That's it. That's the work. I didn't say go build a Mona Lisa.
I didn't say go paint a Mona Lisa. I didn't say learn learn French and Swahili or what I didn't say none of that. All I said was believe in him and everything else falls from there. Everything hangs on that. You know why? Because he's the vine, we're the branch.
Our job is to display the fruit he produces. But if we get in the way thinking that we're the ones responsible for producing it, now people are confused to figure out why why why why how is this happening? And the whole time God is like, "Just get out the way.
They're looking for me." Will you let them see him? Because this year is all about display. And God is ready to display his fruit on all of our branches. But he just wants to know, "Will you be okay to be connected to me? Will you be okay to just say yes when I say go?
Or are you too scared to say what you actually believe? The choice is yours. I know for me and my house, we believe in the one he sent. And that's how simple it is because now we don't have no worry, no fear, no nothing because we know that all things work together for our good cuz we actually believe it.
That's my time. >> ((applause)) >> World changers, you all are amazing. Do not take for granted Do not do not take any of this that's happening as some weird thing, some oh, I don't know if if God is real. I don't No, no, no. Do you believe this or not?
That's literally just the question of the day. Do you believe it or not? If you believe it, act like it. Move in it. Don't hold God back from your fear. He said, "Give me all your cares. Give me everything you care about. Give it to me. I'll show you how to recover your life.
Come with me. I got you." And he loves you. Love him, too. >> ((applause)) >> Now y'all know that was a powerful word. Come on, y'all. Let's give God some praise for that word. Praise God. As I was sitting there, I was listening to the word and the word focus kept coming in my spirit.
I think a lot of times we hear the word but we don't give it enough attention. We don't focus on it long enough. Because that's where the fruit comes in at. You focus on something over and over and over and give it your time. I think it was Pastor that said this that it doesn't become a reality until it becomes a lifestyle.
In your everyday living. Because when the squeeze happens, what you've been spending time with is what comes out of you. So, my my challenge to you is all of these great teachings that we get at this ministry, spend time on it, focus on it, get it in you, align with it every day.
So, when the squeeze happens, what's in you, you've been spending so much time with it, that's what's going to come out of you. Amen? So, listen at this time, uh we're part of the service where we are going to worship God ((music playing)) with our giving. Come on, y'all. Let's be happy about that.
I hear people say that all the time, I wish it was something I can do ((music playing)) for God. Well, this is your opportunity. Where you can take your gift, whatever he tells you in your heart, and you worship him with your gift. A tangible way for you to do something for God.
Because guess what? You know that when you sow it into good ground, the impact that it's going to make, and it's just a great transition. It's just a great system, if you ask me. So, if you need a offering envelope, raise your hands. Uh the ushers will get one to you if you need it.

And we give you praise for it in Jesus' name. ((music playing)) Amen. Praise God. So, listen, if you have offering envelopes, you can give them on the way out. And uh there'll be buckets out on the outside when you leave. At this time, if you've never made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, what an opportunity.
I love the fact that he made this foolproof to where you don't have to do anything but receive it. He's finished the work. He died for you. You don't have to do anything. A lot of times religion makes it so hard for salvation. You got to do this, you got to do that.
No, when you really understand the gospel, you understand that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. So, receiving him shouldn't feel heavy. It should be the greatest day of your life. So, listen, if you've never done this, this is about to be your greatest day. And we're going to make it very easy.
So, if that's you, say this prayer with me. Father, in the name of Jesus, I realize I'm a sinner. Today, I make a decision to make you Lord of my life. I receive your forgiveness. I receive salvation. >> ((music playing)) >> And I receive your spirit. Come into my heart.
Change me. And help me get to know you. In Jesus' name. Amen. Come on, y'all. Let's give it up for those who got saved. Praise God. Praise God. I believe somebody got got saved today. Really, somebody said the prayer of salvation. Listen, if you just prayed the prayer of salvation with me today, we have a tool that we want ((music playing)) to help you with on your journey cuz we love you.
Scan the QR code or on the screen or text I'm ((music playing)) saved to 51555 for a free ebook as a gift for you today cuz we love you and we want to help you get to know Christ. Amen? All right, let's stand so we can be dismissed. Lift your hands with me.
I declare over your lives the spirit of ease. I rebuke disease. I declare the best is yet to come in your lives. I declare a hedge of protection over all of you, all of your families. I ((music playing)) declare no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Any tongue that's risen up against you in judgment, I condemn.
I declare the angels have charge over you and all that you do lest you dash your foot against a stone. I declare the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and minds in Christ Jesus. Now, go in peace, >> ((music playing)) >> be blessed in Jesus' name.
Amen. Y'all have a good evening, world changers. >> ((music playing)) >> I'm a world changer. Changing the world everywhere ((music playing)) I go. You know I'm a world changer. Anointed with the power ((music playing)) of the Holy Ghost. I'm a world changer. Telling the world of God's saving grace. You know I'm a world changer.
And we're making a mark that can't be erased. ((music playing)) I'm a world changer. I'm a world changer. You know I'm a world changer. >> ((music playing)) >> I'm a world I'm a world I'm a world changer.
