YOU DOING TOO MUCH | NEWBIRTH | DR. JAMAL BRYANT

Would you join me in uh the second book of the Bible, the book of Exodus, chapter 4? Amen. Exodus chapter 4. My assignment hangs on the shingle of just one verse. Exodus 4 verse one. Exodus 4 verse one. Once you found it, don't you say, "I got it.

Amen. Let's read together with uplifted voices. But Moses protested again. >> Bless the Lord. I want you to read it. Uh but I need you to put some energy behind that. Come on, lift up your voice. Act like you ain't snowed in. Come on to everybody. Exodus 4 and1.

But Moses protested again. Bless the Lord. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. Moses answered and said, "What if they don't believe me? What if they don't listen to me? What if they say the Lord never appeared to you?" I want to preach uh today using as a subject you're doing too much.

You're you doing too much. Would you would you look at the person beside you and tell them I've been meaning to tell you that you you're doing too much. Considered the father of modern philosophy as Renee Deart who coined the Latin phrase cogo eros kito erosum that translates out of the Latin I think therefore I am.

It means that the very act of thinking proves one's existence. Thinking requires a thinker and even if you doubt what you think, you are still thinking. In his magisterial work entitled discourse on the method, he asserts Renee Decart does he asserts that you should believe in something even if you doubt everything else because even in your doubts is still causing you to think.

In essence, you can't think about not existing without existing to do the thinking. The premise is problematic because we are living in an era, a culture and a society where anti-intellectualism is celebrated. Society, I need you to hear me well. Society is suspicious of critical thinkers. >> Keep an eye out for those who are irritated by ideas.

Those who become easily exasperated just because you have a question. They are annoyed because you see from a different angle. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, intelligence is under attack. You've never heard it on this wise. I've got a responsibility to tell it to you. Your biggest burden is being brilliant.

The status quo just doesn't sit right with you. >> You are not weird. You are wired differently. Black brilliance is especially under surveillance. If you articulate well, you are accused of emulating Europeans. If you enjoy reading, you are branded as an introvert. If your interest skews slightly from common culture, you are what Malcolm Gladwell calls an outlier.

The psychological suffocation that comes from having to suppress your intelligence is startling. You have nobody to bounce concepts off of. Forget iron sharpening iron when you're rubbing against plastic. So a table for two, a table for two is not reserved for restaurants. A table for two. Now is the conversation you got to have in your own head.

And because all your life you've been different and you thought different and you process different and you imagine different and you dream different, all of that has mixed into the cocktail that have made you an overthinker. Consider for a moment Moses who's given up for adoption, raised in foster care by Pharaoh, and one day he's out in the streets, and he commits first-degree murder.

He immediately becomes a fugitive of the law and goes missing for 40 years. He has to live in seclusion. And I need you to hear this. And take a job that is beneath him. He was never trained to be a shepherd. Didn't really have a call to be a shepherd, but this is the only job he can get that will keep him under the radar. consistently for 40 years.

He is looking out for wolves and warrants. He has no sleep, has no rest, has no peace. He just has paranoia. The pendulum is swinging between turning himself in or should he just keep running? being surrounded all day by sheep. He has no human contact. And because for 40 years he's just surrounded by sheep, all he hears is blah blah blah.

Because nobody he works with speaks his language. Nobody who he is around can he articulate his fears or communicate his dreams. >> He is living in real time the reality that many of us are facing that you can outlive your mistakes but you can't outrun them. And the greatest obstacle you have is trying to outthink it.

It's an amazing thing. It's an amazing thing when God's hand is on your life and you've made a mistake that you seem to not be able to get distance from. Who can you talk to without being judged? Who can you talk to without being criticized? Who can you talk to without people running to a conclusion that will disqualify you from your assignment?

So for 40 years he' been on the run, had his face on milk cartons, picture in the post office. Every other commercial has uh his profile and now he's making rounds on the backside of a bush. And I I I need you to understand the context of the text.

It is the very first time in 40 years he's hearing a voice he understands. And God now speaks to him. And and here's what I needed you to see is God never asked how's he doing. >> Never asked how's he feeling. And I have no record that the 40 years he's on the run that God ever communicated. >> All he had was his own thoughts.

And now God shows up and never expunes his record. Never says the charges are dropped. Never says forget those things which are behind. He just gives him an assignment. >> And the assignment he gives him is go back. I need you to hear this. Go back to the place you messed up.

Go back to where they are looking for you. Go back to the very area where your reputation is marred. But more than that, I need you TO UNDERSTAND YOU GOT OUT AND YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A BURDEN. And while you thought it was a burden, the rest of your people are in bondage.

How you think I'mma LET YOU GET OUT BY YOURSELF? The assignment on you IS FOR YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY. So I need YOU TO GO BACK AND GET THEM. You you you don't even understand the gravity of what you are carrying is you are anointed to set other people free.

And the only ammunition the enemy has is a past mistake. And if you can get past what you did in your PAST AND SAY, "GOD, I TRUST YOU FOR MY FUTURE, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW I'M DISQUALIFIED. EVEN THOUGH I KNOW MY RECORD AIN'T GOOD, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THAT YOU SHOULDN'T USE ME."

AND GOD SAYS, "I NEED YOU TO GO BACK TO THE PLACE THEY DON'T LIKE YOU. And um Moses's knee-jerk reaction is what if they don't believe me? And Moses is um exhibit A for overthinking. How are you thinking about what God declared? Th this this this was not birthed out of his imagination.

He didn't find the job on LinkedIn. GOD TOLD him to do it. It's one thing to secondguess yourself, BUT IF GOD HAS GIVEN YOU AN ASSIGNMENT, THEN YOU AIN'T GOT TO AUDITION FOR OTHER people's opinion. MAYBE THE THING THAT'S HOLDING YOU BACK IS YOU ARE A HOSTAGE TO OTHER people's approval.

But if YOU CAN GET PAST WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU, WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT YOU, WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT YOU, AND SAY, "IF GOD CALLED ME TO THIS, THERE'S NO WAY THAT I CAN FAIL. I GOT TO TRUST HIM IN IT." God has given him the green light and all Moses sees is flashing lights.

If you don't remember anything else, I need you to remember, stop overthinking what God has ordained. You would be further along if you would stop negotiating with the divine. Who Who do you think you are to out talk God? When God called you, he knew you stuttered. When God called you, he knew you had anger management issues.

WHEN GOD CALLED YOU, HE KNEW YOUR FAMILY BACKGROUND. WHEN HE CALLED YOU, HE KNEW THE TRAUMA YOU EXPERIENCED IN YOUR PAST. AND HE SAID, "LOOKING AT EVERYTHING THAT WOULD DISQUALIFY YOU, I STILL WANT YOU." AND YOU SITTING THERE JEALOUS OF OTHER FOLK WHO AIN'T SURVIVED NOTHING, AIN'T BEEN THROUGH NOTHING.

AND GOD SAID, "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE THE ASSIGNMENT THAT'S ON YOUR LIFE? Thinking is necessary for problem solving, >> but overthinking just does problem creating. >> I went too fast. Thinking is necessary for problem solving, but overthinking creates problems. Jesus was feeding the 5,000. The disciples overthought >> and said, "It will take us a year to raise the money for this to happen."

If God gives you the vision, why are you worried about provision? That this battle is not yours. It's the Lord's. You mean to tell me your father is rich in houses and land and you stressed about a budget and a mortgage and a car note and student loans.

What do you think God is able to produce? GOD SAYS, "I'M SICK OF YOU playing me cheap. DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT FAVOR IS BETTER THAN FINANCE? IF I SPEAK IT, IT'S GOING TO COME TO PASS. BUT YOU HAVE PUT THE DOLLAR OVER MY POWER. SAYS, "It's it's going to take me a year to get this done."

And God says, "According to whose time? >> According to whose schedule?" I need you to just encourage your neighbor and tell them it's going to be paid off quicker than you think. Hallelujah. That's that that's the wrong neighbor. They don't have no over pass due bills. They don't have nothing they need money for.

But I dare you to find somebody who will come into agreement and in alignment with you. Tell him it's going to be paid for quicker than you think. IT AIN'T GOING TO TAKE YEARS FOR GOD TO TAKE IT OFF OF YOUR CREDIT. GOD CAN DO IT IN A MATTER OF DAYS.

YOU YOU GOT NO IDEA. AND I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU'RE LOOKING AT ME IN THAT TINY TONE OF VOICE. THIS AIN'T THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE BEEN BROKE. THIS AIN'T THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE BEEN IN BETWEEN JOBS. THIS AIN'T THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE BEEN RUNNING BEHIND ON BILL. LOOK AT THE BIRDS OF THE HAND.

LOOK AT THE LIIES OF THE FIELD. IF HE'S TAKING CARE OF THEM, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE WON'T TAKE CARE of you? And Moses said, "What if you don't believe me?" When we overthink, we skew towards the worstc case scenario. Overthinking entertains um the worst possible outcome. God had to shut down the whole nation just for you to be able to hear this message.

God says, "I need you to shift your thinking." That after today, how your mind is going to operate is not running to the worst possible outcome, but the best possible outcome. Come on, Y'ALL HELP ME PREACH. WHAT IF he pays the bills? What if HE HEALS YOUR BODY?

WHAT IF HE GETS YOU BACK IN SCHOOL? WHAT? WHAT IF HE TURNS YOUR CHILD AROUND? WHAT IF HE RECONCILES YOUR FAMILY? WHAT IF HE REDUCES YOUR MEDICATION? WHAT IF HE CANCELS THE SURGERY? WHAT IF HE PROMOTES YOU BEYOND YOUR EXPECTATION? Y'ALL SITTING HERE LIKE YOU EXPECTING THE WORST.

BUT I'M LOOKING FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY, BEYOND. HALLELUJAH. What you going to do if it works out? What you going to do if it adds up? WHAT IF WHAT YOU GOING TO DO WHEN HE WHISPERS YOUR NAME TO INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE? WHAT YOU GOING TO DO IF THIS IS THE BROKEST YOU EVER GOING TO BE IN YOUR LIFE?

WHAT YOU GOING TO DO? He asked, "What if they don't believe me?" And never let left space for what if they do. >> You may be seated. Come. >> Don't let hesitation, Listen to me very carefully, don't let hesitation over power intention. >> Don't let hesitation overpower intention.

Delay is a denial of his power. Let me say it another way. I feel like I lost you. Delay is disrespect to the divine. I said it to you before, I'll say it to you again. If you got a black mother, if you were raised by a black mother, yeah, I don't even know the lady, but if you was raised by a black mother, invariably at some point your black mama said to you, "Don't make me tell you again."

Because if she got to repeat it, it means you doubt her power. Come on, y'all ain't saying nothing. Don't make me come up them say don't don't make me come in that room BECAUSE WHEN I SAID IT THE FIRST TIME, YOU SHOULD HAVE RESPONDED TO THAT. LOOK AT YOUR NEIGHBOR AND SAY, "WHEN GOD TELLS YOU, YOU BETTER JUST DO IT.

DON'T HESITATE. MOVE INTO FORMATION. As soon as God told him, "Go tell Pharaoh," he should have dropped the location on his iPhone, put the address on waves, should have put it in the maps and started going. But he waited. Your delay is to find disrespect. >> Mary went to a wedding one day and when she went to the wedding they ran out of wine. >> I want you to watch the language of Mary.

Watch the language of Mary. She says to Jesus, watch this. We have run out of wine. None of Mary's kids are getting married. >> She ain't got nothing to do with this. >> Y'all stay with me. Uh and and Jesus says something I cannot afford for you to pass by.

Watch what Jesus says. Jesus says,"Woman, WHY ARE YOU TROUBLING ME BEFORE THE TIME? I'm going to produce miracles. I'm going to perform the supernatural. Uh but I ain't supposed to do it yet. Now, that's in John chapter 2, which is recorded as his first miracle. So, the question I got to ask you, because if you go to this church, you're a critical thinker.

The question I got to ask you is, what made Mary think he could do it? >> He must have done something around the house THAT GAVE HER SOME INCLINATION that it's in them. Yeah. God help me in here. SO THE MAMA pushed up the TIME BECAUSE WATCH THIS.

SHE HAD NEVER SEEN HIM DO IT BEFORE, BUT SHE THOUGHT IT COULD GET DONE. Y'all missing what's getting READY TO HAPPEN. GOD SAYS, "WHEN YOU GIVE ME GLORY TONIGHT, WHATEVER DORMANT GIFT IS IN YOUR CHILD, I'M GETTING READY TO PUSH IT OUT OF THEM EARLY. IT'S STUFF THEY AIN'T NEVER DONE BEFORE.

BUT BECAUSE YOU PUSHING THE NIGHT, THEY GETTING READY TO DO WHAT YOU NEVER THOUGHT WAS POSSIBLE. I DON'T WANT YOU TO SHOUT IF YOU DON'T WANT THE GIFT IN YOUR CHILDREN. BUT GOD SAID, "IF YOU GIVE ME GLORY, YOUR DAUGHTER WILL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK. IF IF YOU OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH, YOUR CHILDREN WILL STEP ON SCORPIONS.

IF IF YOU BLESS your your gift is um is coming out ahead of schedule. Be seated. I'm almost finished. Um what is interesting is um Moses hadn't heard a voice for 40 years and God calls him with a burning bush. But I don't want you to miss the topography of the text.

We'll show you that on that mountain. Don't miss it. On that mountain is um scorpions. On that mountain is uh charred glass. On that mountain is broken rocks. That don't mean anything to you. Um, he's on the back side of the mountain that's known for scorpions, >> known for broken glass, known for uneven rocks.

And in that space, God says, "Take your shoes off." I want you to take your shoes off while scorpions are around you while glass is around you while uneven rocks are around you. Pastor, why did he want him to take his shoes off? He had to put him in a position, watch this, where he couldn't run.

Some people don't understand what it takes for me to stand IS MORE WORK THAN WHAT YOU GIVE ME CREDIT FOR. I SHOULD STILL BE UNDER THE BED. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY ATTACKS I GOT TO FIGHT THROUGH MY LIFE? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE TRIED TO UNDERMINE ME AND SET ME UP FOR FAILURE?

I'M A MIRACLE CUZ I'M STANDING AROUND SCORPION. be seated please. So he tells them uh take off your shoes while scorpions are crawling around while there's broken glass. It's uneven rocks. This ain't even for you. This is for the person behind you. Uh because God wanted him to understand this is your last season running.

I really thought y'all was going to shout better than that. Your running days are behind you. You got to let the enemy know having to do everything. STAND THEREFORE THAT YOU GOT TO BE LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY THE WATER. I'M NOT RUNNING THIS YEAR. IF I RESIST THE DEVIL, HE GOT TO FLEE FROM ME.

I'M PUTTING THE DEVIL ON THE RUN. Overthinking will try to convince you. This is what overthinking will do. It'll try to convince you that it's protecting you, >> but it's really restricting you. >> When Peter asked the Lord could he come out on the water and walk, >> God told him to come.

Faith is allergic to reason. >> So when you start overthinking, you only process in the natural. But what God is calling you to do is in the realm of the supernatural. So my beef is not with Peter. My issue is with the other 11 who watched him walk on the water, BUT THEY OVERTHANK TOO MUCH AND NEVER GOT OUT OF THE BOAT.

GOD. Some of you all, please don't even turn to your neighbor for the rest of this service BECAUSE ONLY ONE PERSON ON EVERY row is going to take the walk. THE REST OF Y'ALL WILL JUST WATCH ME STEP INTO WHAT GOD HAS FOR ME. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GO, I'MMA GO BY MYSELF.

There are some of you who are walking through stuff right now that if God wasn't with you, you would have drowned. BUT I'M SO GLAD. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT MADE ME DO IT, BUT I'M SO THANKFUL I TRUSTED THE INNER VOICE OF GOD THAT SAID, "COME TO WHERE I AM.

I WON'T LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU." Be seated. Um be seated, please. Um Anthony Store, let me tell you what uh another philosopher said. Anthony Store uh said, "One man's faith is another man's delusion." >> One man's faith is another man's delusion. In order for you to operate at the highest level of faith, you will be considered delusional. >> Oh my God.

If folk don't think you are crazy, then your faith ain't big enough. God, did y'all hear what I just said? I'm I'm I'm telling you, WHEN YOU START THINKING AT THIS LEVEL THAT YOU ADOPT THE MIND OF GOD, YOU'RE GOING TO EXPOSE THE DEMONS THAT ARE AROUND YOU BECAUSE THEY GOING TO TRY TO TALK YOU OUT OF IT AND TELL YOU WHY IT CAN'T BE DONE AND WHY YOU OUGHT TO DREAM SMALLER.

DON'T YOU LISTEN TO THEM. THEY DON'T TRAFFIC IN THE SUPERNATURAL. be delusional enough that I am going to do something so outlandish >> that if God doesn't get involved, I'll drown. >> If God doesn't get involved, I'mma lose my mind. >> This is the biggest risk of my life, >> but I got to trust him for it.

There was a um there was a woman who had an issue of blood and the Bible said she spent all she had. She here before had gone to see every doctor, every specialist. Listen to me. Until she ran out of money. And when she ran out of money is when God came into the equation. >> I think I lost you.

Sometimes God will manipulate your finances because he knows that's the only way he can get your attention. That's Come on. Y'all ain't saying nothing is as long as you hot, as long as you popping, then God ain't a priority. But when GOD STARTS CUTTING HOLES IN YOUR POCKETS AND THE BILLS START COMING IN LIKE A RUSHING MIGHTY WIND, THAT'S WHEN YOU begin going for them.

The issue of blood and um when you have time, I need you to go back through the book of Leviticus and you'll notice some things that we don't really talk about is that uh because she had a issue of blood, listen to me, she couldn't even go to church.

This is going to go over your head and hit uh the person BEHIND YOU. THE CHURCH was not equipped for her issue. >> She didn't go to church um for all of these years. And um the Bible says if she sat in a chair, they had to sit the chair outside for seven days because it was marked impure.

Read Leviticus when you can. If she lays in a mattress, the mattress had to be dragged outside of the house and fumigated. What the text never tells us in the Gospels is that this woman with the issue of blood, we don't know whether she had children. But for 12 years, they can't touch her.

God help me. She can't go to the eighth grade graduation. She can't go to the game. She can't go to have a a sweet 16 party because she has been sequestered away from touch. I want to amplify it that for 12 years if she's married her husband can't touch her.

Her husband can't hold a hand. Her husband can't cuddle with her at night. The husband can't make love to her. Biblically is out of order. So for 12 years she's by herself. Y'all ain't going to like this. And because she has been absent of human connection and affection, the only thing she has left is the space to think to herself.

SO SHE'S GOT a issue of blood AND JESUS STARTS coming by. And watch what the text says. AND SHE THOUGHT TO HERSELF. NOW, HERE'S WHERE THE PROBLEM BEGINS TO intensify is THAT THERE IS NO biblical record of anybody ever touching the priest. IT WAS OUT OF ORDER FOR YOU TO TOUCH THE PRIEST.

THE BIBLE SAYS, "IF THERE BE ANY SICK AMONGST YOU, bring them TO THE PRIEST." Y'ALL AIN'T SAYING NOTHING. YOU AIN'T SUPPOSED TO TOUCH THE PRIEST. The priest IS SUPPOSED TO TOUCH YOU. THEY GOT PROTOCOL OFFICERS there who are trying to REGULATE WHO IS IN THE OUTER COURT, WHO'S IN THE INNER COURT, WHO'S IN THE HOLY OF HOLIES.

SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE OUTER OUTER COURT. BUT SHE THOUGHT TO HERSELF, IF I CAN TOUCH HIM, THEY MAY THROW ME OUT OF THIS CHURCH. I MAY LOSE MY POSITION. THEY MAY GET SECURITY ON ME. BUT I FEEL LIKE I'M ABOUT TO GET HEALED. GOD TOLD ME TO TELL SOMEBODY, "DON'T OVERTHINK IT."

WHATEVER YOU GOT TO DO TO TOUCH GOD, YOU BETTER DO IT TONIGHT. IF YOU GOT TO RUN TO TOUCH HIM. IF YOU GOT TO JUMP, TOUCH HIM. IF YOU GOT TO SCREAM, TOUCH HIM. IF YOU GOT TO HOLLER, TOUCH HIM. IF YOU GOT TO PULL ON YOUR NEIGHBOR, TOUCH HIM.

LOOK AT YOUR NEIGHBOR AND SAY, "NEIGHBOR, WHATEVER YOU GOT TO DO TO GET IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, DON'T overthink it. THEY MAY LAUGH AT YOU. THEY MAY CRITICIZE YOU. THEY MAY SCANDALIZE YOUR NAME, BUT IF YOU TOUCH him immediately, everything that's out of order IS GOING TO LINE ITSELF UP.

DON'T OVERTHAKE IT. GRAB THAT NEIGHBOR'S HAND AND SAY, "NEIGHBOR, I'M GETTING HEALED TONIGHT. I'M GETTING DELIVERED TONIGHT. I'M GETTING A BREAKTHROUGH TONIGHT. Excuse me IF I RUN THROUGH THIS CHURCH. EXCUSE ME IF I LAY OUT AT THE ALTAR. EXCUSE ME IF I YELL LIKE I LOST MY MIND.

DON'T overthink it. GIVE IT TO GOD. STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT. HE'S AABLE. Lift up that hand. Hallelujah. >> Lift up that hand. I got to tell you something. >> You are not really shouting. You're not really in the presence of God. >> You're really not close to a miracle >> until there's somebody in the church who says one thing. >> You doing too much.

Your shout will annoy smallminded people. People who are STUCK IN THE STATUS QUO DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU SCREAM THE WAY YOU DO. BUT IF YOU NEED SOMETHING FROM GOD, lose your mind. GIVE HIM GLORY LIKE IT'S MY LAST TIME NOW under him who is able to KEEP ME FROM FALLING.

YOU BETTER JUMP RIGHT THERE. YOU BETTER RUN RIGHT THERE. YOU BETTER WALK RIGHT THERE. AND TO PRESENT ME BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OF GRACE. MAY HE REST. MAY HE RULE. MAY HE ABIDE FROM NOW UNTIL FOREVER MORE. GIVE THREE PEOPLE A HIGH POWER AND TELL THEM YOU DOING TOO MUCH.

THE DEVIL IS MAD WITH YOU. BUT I I got a praise and I got to give it out. I GOT A PRAISE AND I GOT TO GET IT OUT. GO OVER TO SOMEBODY. GO IN ANOTHER SECTION AND TELL THEM do too much. Do too much. Do too much. lift that hand.

My time is up. I got to pray and I got to get it. I got to pray. Come on, lift up one time. I got to pray. I got to praise. I got to get I got to hold all of the sanctuary. Come on. I got to pray.

I need you to listen to me. >> I am. This word tonight is for people who are in this room who have been wrestling with weighty decisions. for people in this room who need to be reminded. Behold, before you I open a door for people in this room who have been standing in your own way. >> Cuz you're secondguessing what you have been called to do.

Jesus. >> Your liabilities outweigh your assets, but you're still anointed to do it. >> I want to pray for you tonight. I want you to lift up that hand. Overthinking is reserved for the brilliant. Overthinking is reserved for people who wrestle with their own anointing. Overthinking never plagues the arrogant.

The enemy will just amplify your deficiency. I want that hand lifted. I've been praying for you all this week. Listen to me. I've been praying for you that while you were shut in, God will give you confirmation. He said, "I'll stop the whole world just to get your attention.

You've outgrown the circle. Your season on that job is over. There's some people who you should have cut off a whole long time ago. Do you know how many people are going to be set free when you stop overthinking? Supposed to be mentoring teenage girls. You're supposed to be an example for returning citizens.

You're supposed to be flipping property as a role model for your family. You're supposed to submit for that grant. You're supposed to submit that application. You should HAVE MOVED A LONG TIME AGO. God said, "Please stop overthinking. When I called you, I already knew what you were up against.

And more than that, I already knew what you've been running from. And more than that, I already know you got what it takes. Your season on the run trained you to stand. Lift that hand as high as you can. Lord, in the name of Jesus, I pray for my brother, my sister, your son, your daughter that the demon of overthinking is arrested tonight.

They'll be free in their mind, free to make clear decisions, free to make heavenly options. Remove every weapon of distraction. God, get me out of my own way. Not by might, not by power, but by your spirit. I trust you with all the scorpions AROUND ME. I TRUST YOU WITH BROKEN GLASS.

I trust you for the people who I wounded that you can still do something good in my life. And I trust you for it in Jesus name. Those of you listen to me, those of you who are trusting God to deliver you from overthinking, would you just give God a sound of worship right there?

Come on. Come on. Come on. I dare you to give it to him. I really thought you were going to worship better than that. For the wrong person, for the wrong person, you are too much. For the god orained person, you are just enough. If they cannot handle your intelligence, they will not stand your anointing.

You got a deadly combination. To be brilliant and cold is a rare commodity. If you know I'm talking about you, you ought to thank God for it. You've been different your whole life. YOU THOUGHT DIFFERENT SINCE THE FOURTH GRADE. HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOMETHING ON YOUR LIFE WHEN YOUR MAMA DIDN'T SEE IT.

THE TEACHER THOUGHT IT ON YOU. THERE WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. You had to suppress it and talk to yourself. And as a consequence, you you out talked from this day forward. I want you to make a commitment what God called you to do with no hesitation, with no deliberation, then you're going to do that.

Said to Peter, "Come." He didn't say, "Let me change my clothes and put on a swimsuit." said, "I don't mind my robe getting wet. I'm going to go out there and do what God has called me to do. I want to at this moment, this is what I want to do.

I'm going to jangle around our order of worship. I want us to give right now in this moment. I want us to tithe. In this moment, I want us to sew. In this moment, you're absent of an envelope. Lift up that hand. and the ushers are moving amongst you.

Listen, those of you who are viewing online from around the world, this may not be the church of your membership. I don't believe that you tuned in today by accident or coincidence. I want to stretch the elasticity of your faith. For those of you who are not tithers, those of you are not tithers in this house, I want you to stretch yourself for a gift of 120.

I want you to stretch yourself with a gift of 120. Those of you who are unable to do that, I want you to get a seed of 40. 40 is the number of generations. I don't want my children to have my inhibitions. I don't want my children to inherit my insecurities.

I don't want my children for a moment of their life to have a ounce of self-doubt. I want all of you who are under the sound of my voice under the canopy of this church, you ought to be tithing today. Those of you who are visitors, your friends, or you haven't reached that level of faith, I want you to sew a seed of 120 or I want you to sew a seed of 140.

I want you to do it now. God has you right where you are with your shoes off. I want those of you who are prepared and postured to give, would you lift up your phone, please? You're prepared. your posture to give. Lift up your phone. Lift up your envelope if that's the conduit by which you are using on this wintry circumstance.

Those of you who are just giving the best that you have with what you have, pastor, I don't have 120. I don't have 40. But I believe little becomes much when I place it in the master's hand. Come on, lift it up high. Please stop secondguessing yourself. Stop talking yourself out of God's best.

You deserve God's best. I want to say it again cuz your ears have never heard it. You deserve God's best. Would you say that to the person beside you? You deserve God's best. That hand is lifted. Repeat after me. Lord, thank you Lord >> for what you did last year, >> what you did last month, >> what you did last week, >> what you did yesterday, >> but the seed in my hand is in expectation for what you're going to do for the generation behind me in Jesus' name.

Amen. Bless the Lord. Our ushers, they're coming zealously to come serve you. If you feel so compelled that you want to sew for yourself at the altar, the altar is open for you to be able to do that. >> Trust me, >> trust me. >> Trust me. >> That's what God says.

If you would all you will >> trust God all >> in all of your ways. >> Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. >> He will guide. He will lead. Oh, that's what God said. If you only you got to do got to do.

Oh, trust me. If you would >> only trust me. >> Bless the Lord. Will you stand to your feet? Stand to your feet. Hallelujah. How many of you were blessed for pressing your way? Don't fool me. How many of you all needed that word? How many of you felt like God was talking directly to you?

I'm going to open the doors of the church at the risk that there's somebody in the room that's not saved, doesn't have connection, doesn't have community, are not under covenant, but God had to shut the whole Mid-Atlantic down just to get you into this place and into the your rightful position.

I want to tell you something. I need you to know it. I want to be your pastor. I want New Birth to be your church. But more important than that, I want heaven to be your home. And I want Jesus to be the Lord of your life. We didn't press our way for nothing.

The Bible says if one gets saved, then angels take a praise break. I don't know where you are, but if there's one of you that need to get saved, one of you that need to join the church, would you come quickly, please? Come on. Come on. Don't act like that.

If there's somebody here who needs to get right with God, come on. Come on, don't act like that. Somebody in this space is saying, "You know what? This is where I'm supposed to be planted." Come on, give God some praise for our dear sister. Bless the Lord. Bless the Lord.

I read something today that that broke my heart. I'm telling you, it broke my heart. Uh they announced this morning 150 softly musician. I read I don't know if y'all saw it 150 Popeyes is closing down. Said Lord how how you run out of chicken. Amen. Aren't you glad 41 years later that new birth is still open?

Come on. Come on. That God hadn't run out of mercy, hadn't run out of love, hadn't run out of compassion. I'm thankful for this one, but I don't want her here by herself. Would y'all do a row check real quick? Ask the people on your row, are you saved?

You sure you saved? You sure you got a church home? You sure you giving your life over to God? After all that preaching, you going to lie in church? All that power of God in this place, and you still ain't telling the truth. Bless the Lord. I'm thankful under God uh for this dear sister who has come to connect with us on today.

Well, on this coming Tuesday, we want you to watch the website because we are going to watch the weather to see whether or not we're going to come together. And that is for both our noon uh group therapy session and for our evening 7:30 p.m. group therapy session.

When we come back together on the first Sunday in February, on that particular Sunday, we are going to have our penny collection. And if you have pennies still around your house and they're going out of circulation, but they're still going to circulate here at New Birth, we're going to collect all of the pennies.

Get your children and your grandchildren involved. Go find those jars. Go find those cups in every place in every pocket. Pull those pennies out so that we can bring them together in our collection on the first Sunday in February. Well, this day because you braved the weather and you were able to come out not just for fellowship and not just to spend time in the word, but we also want you to leave with food if you need it.
