that he's working i still believe his promises are true i still believe that he has a plan and a purpose for your life if you're breathing tonight he has a plan for your life and he is well able to all over the house thank you for being here thank you for worshiping with us i believe the lord's going to meet with us tonight a very special way i love wednesdays like monica said a moment ago they're they're so different from sunday but they are the engine they're the impetus to everything we're watching god do on the weekend and i like the fact on wednesday that it is smaller and it's more intimate and we we have a little bit longer time if you will to really dwell in the presence of god and so i know it's raining but you're super dry out there and we're wonderfully anointed and wet up here because this pulpit is sopping dripping wet but that's all right we're going to have some prayer tonight it's going to be a beautiful beautiful time and we're just expecting god to move in our midst how many of you how many of you would say that since we've seen each other sunday or maybe some of you i just met some folks i'm gonna go from san francisco that just got here today just a little while ago staying through the weekend and all of that but how many of you would say that that since this past weekend you've been bombarded with some spiritual warfare you really need to have a word from the lord tonight you really need something from god in prayer time and worship i figured that'd be about all of us and those of you that didn't raise your hand well you're struggling with deception and so uh you need to you need to recognize that you're under a spell tonight because we're in some spiritual warfare you've not paid any attention to what's happening in the world if you're not under any type of spiritual attack and so i trust that you are and i know that god's gonna use the message tonight use the worship tonight and use his presence and just his anointing in this place i have a word on my heart that we'll just shortly share with you in a bit but we want to go into the time that we always love to celebrate on wednesday when we get to pray for literally hundreds of people all over america and around the world that entrust this church with their written prayer request every single week and you have to understand we can't even get to all of them there's hundreds of them sometimes thousands of them that the office gets and we want you to know and we want every one of them to know that they don't just get prayed for tonight by name but those go on to our prayer team and they get prayed for multiple times throughout the week because we are not a church that just prays a little we are a praying congregation because we believe that his house should be a house of prayer and prayer moves the hand of god and god moves mountains that are in our way and obstacles and he still makes a way when there is no way and he still leads us and guides us when we hit our knees and we pray and so we're going to do that tonight and so everybody that's watching on youtube and facebook and all of our streaming platforms right now you can just begin to put your prayer requests right there in the comment section drop them in write this very second and people all over the world thousands of people thousands of them tens of thousands of people will be seeing that we'll be praying for you and perhaps even reaching out to you whatever it is you can be as as personal and as vulnerable and as humble as you want to be but right now in that comment section you put those prayer requests and people that are watching this very moment this is their prayer time this is their moment to enter into the closet enter into the prayer time of god's presence and pray for many many many requests all over the world and so i'm going to have my wife and my daughter come and they'll be standing down front you know the drill even if you're a visitor if you don't feel you know compelled to come forward and grab a card that's fine but i want our folks in just a moment to line up like we do every week and grab these cars we're going to kneel all over this area up here and i want you to call these names out to god out loud by name god can hear us all at one time god knows who they are if it says anonymous god knows who they are i want some of our prayer team members to come right up here to my right your left if you need to be prayed for tonight if you need to be prayed over tonight if somebody needs to lay hands on you tonight if you need healing if you need direction if you need financial breakthrough if you need wisdom if you need salvation whatever you need tonight if you walk in with a burden it's your fault if you walk out with the same one did you hear me because we have capable people that can pray with you and pray over you and pray for you and so for the rest of us let's begin to stand all over the room we'll make two lines come around this way and you come get these requests tonight and let's pray we make no mistake around here that we love to pray visitors come and say why is god doing so much at your church because we love to pray look at all the people standing to get these requests everywhere and right now online just drop those prayer requests we're going to pray for you tonight we're going to spend some time in god's them around tonight maybe you just need to come and kneel or stand before the lord and lift your hands and his presence and worship and surrender to him tonight you just come on down here and do that maybe you don't even want a card maybe you need to pray for your own marriage maybe you need to pray for yourself your job your situation your health come on slip out ((music playing)) ((music playing)) take your time tonight we're no hurry not going to rush out of his presence ((music playing)) just before my wife comes to lead us in prayer tonight i want to i want to pray personally about a a situation of course every day in the news there's more disheartening news there's more crime there's more things that are happening politically and in every other way but it's been requested tonight as we should so i'm going to pray and then i'm going to give it to my wife to lead us for everything else but many of you saw in the news today that in texas there was another school shooting and the perpetrator got away but they eventually got him and so that's obviously caused a lot of fear you need to know something these are not random incidents and accidents the enemy is coming against our children in this nation like never before he is coming at an all-time frontal way like we can't even imagine and so we want to pray for those teachers and the law enforcement and all those folks down there in texas believe in the arlington or so area and so let's pray and then my wife's gonna come in and pray over all of these requests and things tonight so let's lift up the state of texas let's lift up this town these people father we just come to you right now for nothing more really than for our children our children are a mess lord the the public school situation right now is just an absolute mess and lord our kids are the targets and lord we think now of the families and friends of those that have been victimized in this situation in texas today with yet another school shooting the depravity of man has no depth no end to it it just keeps going and going and lord it just seems like every week we hear about something diabolical and something wretched like this we pray against it in the mighty name of the lord jesus we asked father that you would bring swift justice and we asked father that you would bless these families that have been affected horrendously and they'll have a hard time sleeping tonight and tomorrow night in the coming days and weeks and months but father give them a peace that passes all understanding bless us in this place tonight may we not get to the place where we're so so concentrated on our bubble of life that we leave everybody else out and we forget all the brokenness that is around us as parents lord as we said this past weekend the two things that are going to save america are parents and pulpits and we need some parents to stand up push back against all the evil and deviance that we see in this nation around the world so god give us courage baptize us in boldness lord bless the continuation of the sweet spirit of our prayer time tonight we pray in jesus name father we thank you tonight that your word says that those that abide in the secret place of the most high shall find rest in the shadows of the almighty and lord if there is anything that your church needs right now it's just a little bit of rest father god the warfare is so intense all around us but we know that we still serve the god that can speak to the winds and waves and they still obey your name father lord you can speak peace be still and the waves come and so lord we ask tonight that no matter what we're facing that we remember who we belong to father that we can rest in the fact that we belong to the most high king the one that sits on the throne room of heaven and father we thank you for that truth lord i know with everything going on in texas and everything else going on around the world god we can look around and it's almost as we're asking the same thing you did in the book of ezekiel son of man can these bones live yes lord they can they can live and so god we ask that you would send your spirit from the four corners of the earth god that you would resurrect what is dead in us father lord everything can be so discouraging but we serve a god of life and abundance and lord we know that you can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think and so lord we thank you that we can stand on that promise in your word that father when we cannot accepting god you can you are the great i am the alpha and the omega father lord tonight we do just bring everything to your feet what a beautiful truth god that we don't have to carry around all of these burdens because you have already carried them for us you are the god of today and the god of tomorrow and the god of eternity so god we don't even have to worry about tomorrow because you've already been there your plan and your purpose and your will will be fulfilled with or without us lord you do not move because of who we are you move in spite of us because of who you are father and so lord we thank you for that we thank you that no matter what is going on that we can sing and say that we still believe that you are moving we still believe that you are speaking to your broad and lord the world may be preparing for war but your bride is preparing for marriage and so lord we thank you that we have a hope we have hope as the anchor to our soul father and we thank you for that lord we love you and we worship you and we give you all honor and all glory and all praise ((music playing)) because you are the great i am the one who was and is and is to come so lord we just thank you for the truth that we find in your word lord we thank you that we are able to stand in the midst of chaos and lord that we are not a double-minded people that's tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine lord we know who you are and we believe who you are and so lord we just thank you in jesus name amen ((music playing)) we're going to go into worship here in just a moment before we get to our our time of bible study and so you can stand all over the room just preparing our hearts and our bodies to enter into god's presence with our worship with our voices i just want to share something with you quickly and i didn't want to take the message time to do it because we'll we'll make it part of of our offering tonight many times on wednesday nights we take up offerings for other people almost conclusively if we take an offering on wednesday because we rarely do but when we do it's usually always for other people and so tonight the global vision offering buckets will be laying on the stage our folks online globalvisionbc.comgive can help out as well but uh i want to ask you if you would like to give if you would like to contribute it's something that we've already given to meaning by that today we actually wrote the check and just went ahead and got into the savings and by faith decided that we were going to bless somebody and so as we are worshiping tonight we'll let it be our time of giving our time of worship you can bring you're offering your tithes if you want to give obviously just make the check out to the church and folks online can give as well and we'll know the time stamp but the other night me and a number of the men were in a small tent in muncie indiana and muncie's just a small town and there's a church there that asked me to come they called me they didn't even think that i would come and i said absolutely i'll be there i would love to be there and i believe god's going to bless and he did and they put up a little tent and they put up a couple of hundred chairs and then they had to put up a couple hundred more chairs in a little garage and then a couple of hundred people stood outside and there were hundreds and hundreds of people all over this tent inside outside trying to get in the parking lot was filled they have a little building that maybe seats about 65 70 on a good day and they are literally reaching the people that nobody wants in that area everybody's departed from that area all the churches have left they're reaching drug addicts and gang bangers and prostitutes they're reaching every ethnic background you can imagine it's called faith builders ministries and i mean they are doing something in that town they have a men's home they have a women's home they have a little christian school i mean they're doing it with just a handful of people and they're reaching folks with the gospel and so you ever met somebody and you knew immediately your spirit bore witness with their spirit well that happened i'd never met this little preacher before and here's all these hundreds of people trying to get in the building they're all over the place and the tent was packed but before i met with him he took us upstairs in a little prayer area they called the upper room and it was a little green room and i was just meeting and greeting with him i was signing some books getting ready for the book time and i just was talking to him and asking him about the people that he was reaching and man they're just reaching the people that nobody wants and it just resonated with me because we're a church where broken people find new meaning to life and he had all different sorts of people there that he was meeting with and i said let me ask you a question i said how are you doing financially as a church and he said well you know it took a very long time 15 years in fact for me to be able to even get paid he said i've been working a job and i keep asking the lord when can i go full time when can i go full time and he said there's a woman here in town that goes to our church says she runs a trucking business he said so what she decided to do is put me on the salary of the trucking business and the junior trucking fund takes care of the pastor's salary and pays for him and his wife to be full time at this little church just so they can be a blessing so i said man you guys are are doing a lot i said what do you have debt wise i said man you just got this little building right in the middle of town and you're reaching all these people and all these addicts are coming it's like open every single day and they're they're reaching these crack addicts it's unbelievable how many people they baptize all sort of people the night i was there he said well you know he said we got like 35 000 debt and he said once we pay the building off we don't have any more debt and god's been good to us and and you know me i didn't say a word to him as soon as god said i heard that god said to my heart yeah you know what's going to happen so right in the middle of my message buford it was the most beautiful time and i i stood there i was preaching on the good samaritan and being a generous church and generous people and i stood the pastor right there i said there's just something about this guy i love the people that he's reaching i love the heart that he has and i said man of god you can know that tomorrow morning our church is gonna send you a check for forty thousand dollars we're gonna pay your entire mortgage off we're gonna let you be debt free man they wept they cried they shouted so whether you give tonight for that or not we've already stroked the check and it's already going out in the morning amen but if you want to help that church amen you can help us recoup that because we just sent them a check for 40 grand and we're just so honored as a church that we're financially in a place where we can give money away like that and god turns right back around and gives it right back because it's not about our kingdom it's if you turn there tonight the book of first john and chapter number two yes thank you all the students can be dismissed they might not want to be dismissed brothers like noah's flood out there praise god but we'll see they can all they can all walk out in that so all of our students sixth grade up through the 12th grade can be dismissed with the jones family and they can head down in the rain keeping up with the joneses amen so all of them out there and while they find their place there you find your place in first john chapter number two and it's going to be interesting dancing around this tonight but it's going to be all right i normally move around anyhow i guarantee you there's somebody in this tent tonight that can have this fixed by sunday all right and so uh somebody is a flex seal giant up in here all right and so i'm hoping we don't get much much more rain in the next couple of sundays but if it does i'm the benefactor of it all right and so let's if somebody can figure out how to get that raised up and how we can get that flex sealed we'll figure it out we've tried to put our heads together a couple of times it's just gonna take somebody climbing up there and doing it now you can actually jump on the top of this tent on the other side and you won't fall through if you're not like super heavy but at the end of the day we need somebody that can just volunteer and help us out all right and so yeah you can you can see one of us tonight after service and we'll get this figured out because it's going to be a wet one tonight but it's good amen glad to be a church tonight first john chapter 2 is where we're at i promise you you're not going to want to miss this weekend the lord is just doing some unbelievable things on sundays around here that just really boggling my mind blowing my mind every single week it seems like the line for baptismal celebrations gets longer more people come for prayer more people respond during the salvation invitation it's just beautiful to watch what the lord is doing and i for one never get tired of it amen i'll tell you i just believe with all of my heart this is just the beginning of what god wants to do and i believe this is just the start we are just now getting our our toes wet in the water as it were literally tonight i believe god is about to just continue to do more than we could ever imagine in this place and i'm just honored to be a part of it i'm honored you're a part of it and everybody online that's going to be traveling to get here this weekend we welcome you we honor you for the trip and we just thank god for all that he is doing let's pray and we're going to jump in and i'm just going to chat with you for a few moments and i don't want to keep you too long i don't want these these roads to flood out amen want to get you home in a good time tonight father we thank you for the lord jesus and we gather tonight under the banner of his name and through the power of his gospel and i pray that you'd use the word of god for the next few moments as we study as we learn as we dig together your word says study to show yourself approved unto god a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth and so lord tonight we want to rightly divide the power of god's word in this place it's a book of authority it's a book of power it's a book of prophetic understanding and so i pray tonight that you would open our hearts open our eyes by faith in this place and although it may be wet rainy and nasty outside and even somewhat under the tent keep distractions to a minimal so we can focus on jesus in his name we pray and all god's people said in the book of first and second and really third john you have a man that is imploring the church to wake up you're having a man by the name of john that comes later in life same john by the way that wrote the 21 chapters of the gospel of john but he was a young whippersnapper when he did that when you get to first second and third john he's an older man he's slower in the context he's much more wise he's much more learned he's much more spiritually apt to understand the word of god and he shows up in these three books and he tells the church it's time that you understand and put into practice the power and the authority of god's word because in first second third john which we don't have time to develop we've preached through all of them verse by verse and it took us two years to get through these three books what we find is there's people that understood the gospel but they weren't practicing it kind of like where we are in the american church which is far too american and not enough church people know about jesus but they don't follow jesus but people know about church but they don't live in accordance to what the bible says is a new testament church they know about power but they deny the very power of god in their life and so john says church it's time to wake up it's time to understand some great truth so he draws a line in chapter 2 which we don't have time to develop he draws a line between who we are before christ and who we are now that we've been saved by christ and he says friendship with the world is enmity with god whosoever therefore is a friend of the world is the enemy of god now i know that's not real popular but at the end of the day we're trying to preach what the bible says and sometimes you have to be unpopular in order to preach what the bible says amen and so jesus teaches us john teaches us paul peter every single writer and preacher in the new testament teaches us that a line has been drawn and you have got to make up your mind who you're going to serve because a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways and we need to make up our mind whose side baron tonight but i want you to notice what he begins to say once he talks about this line that's been drawn and the fact that we've come from the world because of our redemption experience watch verse 18 first john chapter 2 verse number 18. little children now let me just say this he's not minimizing who we are he's not being derogatory he's not talking down to us he's not demeaning who we are by way of the nature and character he's not saying oh you bunch of little brats no he's reminding us that god is a good father and he treats us like kids he treats us like his children and so there's things he has to tell us that are easy to understand and there are things that he tells us sometimes that are hard to comprehend like any good father and so he reiterates this phrase little children he's reminding us he's giving us a familial terminology i'm your father you're my children i love you therefore i have to tell you sometimes the hard truth little children it is the last time now we got to just stop right there and understand for a few moments that a lot of people say nonsensical things like this well you christians you evangelical bible thumping people been talking about jesus coming again for a long long time do you know when the end times began when jesus went to heaven hebrews 1 and sat down at the right hand of the majesty of god we've been in the end times for 2000 years and now we're just getting in the more ending of the end times but he said clearly right here this is the last time these are the last days these are the days of finality now we look at that and we're like 2 000 years days of finality i must remind you that god is not bound by time he's not bound by gravity he's not bound by space he's not bound by the elements that we are bound by in this human life upon this earth for a day to the lord is a thousand years and a thousand years as is a day and i remind you if you are nervous that it's taking jesus two thousand years too long it took him four thousand years to show up the first time because he was first predicted in genesis 3 15 and that's a long time ago so god's on time what we consider late god considers on time because he even showed up late to the funeral of lazarus but when god's four days late he's right on time for a resurrection i can promise you that and so he said look it is the last days it is the last time and watch what he says and as ye have heard the antichrist shall come even now say now are there many antichrists whereby we know here's the affirmative fact that it is the last time now don't get confused don't get discouraged he says there's going to come a day when one actual figurehead named the antichrist is going to show up and is going to show out he's going to be a demonically supercharged politician that has all of the answers he's going to cry peace peace but there is no peace it's deception at the end of the day but we don't have time to develop him because he says something interesting here he says you know little children that because it's the last days the antichrist shall come but i'm saying unto you there are many antichrists in the world right now which is the proof of the pudding he says in the text that we are in the last days so what does he mean there is an antichrist but there are many antichrists you better know something before he shows up there is a beast system that is being put in place to set the table for when everything literally goes crazy and all hail breaks loose so if you are keeping score and if you are paying attention you know that we are watching the beast system be set up before our very eyes now i know we used to say things like that and people would discount that and they would be like well you know maybe 50 years from now maybe 100 years from now maybe in my kids kids kids kids kids generation we've been hearing about prophecy and jesus coming again where are the signs of his coming we've been hearing about the antichrist and the beast system and the one world government for a long long time where is it at it's right at the doors where it is if you're paying attention because in the last 18 months we've said it a thousand times we'll say it a million more in the last 18 months we have left prophetically 50 or 60 years and we are right now slap dab watching the beast system be set up before our very eyes and the segregation has happened all over again right here in the good old united states of america we're watching people lose their jobs at an unprecedented rate tens of thousands of them we are watching people be mandated to do things that are not a law here's what i hear all the time and i'm not going political i like my shirt i'm not political i'm prophetic it's a big difference praise god amen thank you jordan for the shirt but here's what you hear all the time in the airport i'll be flying to miami tomorrow for amp fest my wife and i here's what you hear make sure that you obey the federal mandate because there can be you know jail time yada yada yada shimada there's no federal law that says you have to wear a mask there's no federal law that says these things that's spook tactics it's fear-mongering is all it is all that stuff is is terminology over a loudspeaker that herds the sheep it gets everybody bullied in the right direction right so what we're seeing is the beast system being set up whether you believe it or not it's happening people like well you know y'all talk about new world order and all that kind of stuff guess what even without using biblical terminology guess what people around the world are using that terminology right now australia said oh this is the first day of the new world order what they get that terminology where's the u.n get this nonsense right this is a new world order now the pope's calling for a one world religion how do we know that was coming because god said it was coming and so he says there are many antichrists in the world therefore we know it is the beast system we know it is the last time it's been the last time but it's getting the lasty of the last times that makes sense so we have to lift up our eyes our redemption draws now we have to pay attention to what's going around us let me tell you what god's put in my spirit here lately these are days of no hesitation don't you miss what i just said these are days of no hesitation if you have hesitated to do what god's called you to do before you better not hesitate now because things are happening at such a rapid pace you gonna have to keep up no hesitation no disobedience stop praying about stuff god already clearly told you to do now i know that sounds super unspiritual and non-pastoral but you better quit praying about things that you know god's already called you to do you have been the answer to your own prayer and you're still praying because you don't like the answer when you look in the mirror oh lord let somebody else do it no why don't you do it because god called you to do it these are days of no hesitation we got people that are waiting oh no speak now forever hold your peace you do it now or you lose it all the beast system is here it's being set up before our very eyes in a thousand different ways and i told myself i'm not going to get off on all that tonight so i'm not we can deal with all that stuff later on but you see it and if you don't it's because you choose not to it's because you're willfully ignorant it's because you don't want to see this because you don't want to read the bible it's because you don't want the conviction it's because you'd like to hesitate it's because you are filled with delayed obedience which is nothing more than disobedient he said plainly the antichrist system is here and even then they could barely see it now it's plain as the nose on your face it's right in our face it's everywhere it's already started came by can't sell can't fly can't cruise can't travel kids can't go to school it's already happening and we're sitting around all willy-nilly casual like oh well you know no big deal no big deal and the church is fiddling while rome is burning slap to the ground and nobody's saying anything these are not days of hesitation these are not days for cowardly people these are not days for people that bite their tongue because they want people to like them no hesitation and so he says look little children the antichrist system is already here but notice what happens in the midst of this he says in verse 19 as the days get darker as the days get worse they went out from us but they were not of us for if they had been of us they would have no doubt continued with us but they went out why that they those that left out of the faith might be made manifest that they were not all of us now this ain't even the main crux of what i'm going to preach overnight but i've got to lead up to it it's the red carpet that gets us to the show right now listen don't use this context by the way to talk about you know just little ways that you know people get upset or maybe somebody moves out of state or somebody gets another job or somebody leaves the church oh yeah they left the church because they were never part of god's fault that's not what he's saying here what he's saying overall is when people leave the faith it's because they had none when people apostasize when people walk away i get so tired of hearing people say things like this well you know i used to be a christian well if you ain't one now you never was one i used to be a chris what does that mean i used to be a christian no you didn't used to be a you're either a christian or you're not a christian either believe the bible or you don't believe the bible now you may lessen in your faith but if you leave it all together it's because you never had it to begin with that ain't what greg says what the bible says that ain't baptist theology pentecostal theology catholic that is what the bible says they went out from us because they weren't out of us and here's the overarching truth the closer we get to the coming of christ the more people are going to walk away from the faith because they're cowards they don't want the heat they don't want the jail time they don't want the disparaging comments online they don't want the newspaper headline they don't want it and so therefore they go away from it and the bible says you know why they left because they were never part of the fold to begin with they left out they were fakes they walked around with a jimmy carter smile making you think one thing but they were chameleons they were fakes and i've been at this long enough to know that in the american church it's filled with fakes plastic people like mannequins plastic folk fake folk chameleon folk one way here one way there one way here one way there why is it that we tell our teenagers not to be that way and adults act just like that he says let me tell you why they departed from the faith they never had faith to begin with why'd they leave the body they were never part of the body to begin with that's what the bible says they went out from us because they were not of us and the reason they left is because god was manifesting to our eyes the truth that they were lost the whole time and you better know in every church of every size there's a mixed multitude of people that are there for the wrong reasons i don't care if it's wednesday or sunday if you're here for greg locke you're here for the wrong reason you hear me i thank god we have five or six sometimes ten families a month that leave everything and move for this church that is humbling but if you're moving for me go back home huh you better be moving here because the power of the spirit of god is doing something in this place you better be moving here because the gospel is being preached because we're being both you better be moving here because god's moving and god's doing something because there's a danger in a church like ours that's growing so rapidly especially on the weekend and here's the danger people come here from all over the world to experience jesus make sure they don't experience us make sure they get what god has to offer not what global vision has to offer amen church and there's a difference and so there's some people they they leave because they were never part and i'm gonna tell you what kobot's done it's thinned out the ranks we done found out real quick who's serious and who ain't we've done found out real quick who can be controlled and who's gonna be a problem moving forward we've already figured out the cowardly churches and the bold churches we've already got we already know what pastors are going to be in and what pastors are going to fire and stand up we already know we ought to know what schools are going to stand what school boards are going to stand we already know what parents are going to stand we already know what businesses are going to open we already know and by the way so do they and so if nothing else this entire rat wheel experiment has shown us who's serious and who's not persecution thins out the herd and if you think it's bad now you just give it about five more years i'm telling you it will thin out the herd quickly and i am enraged by the pastors that are willing and allowing it to take place the wolves are at the door of the sheepfold and the pastors have laid down on the job and they're doing absolutely nothing about it and i know some pastors that went out from us because them crooks were never part of us somebody say amen in this tent some will be nice let's keep going but then notice how we keep standing this is how we stay in the fold this is how we stay right this is how we stay equipped check this out but ye say ye that's us not the ones that left the ones that stayed not the ones that laid down the ones that stood up not the ones that ran away but the one that ran to goliath right but ye check this out have an unction let me read that again ye have an unction i call it the unction to function you have an unction from who from the holy one that's caps and ye know all things now that's not an arrogant statement that's a biblical statement that's a statement of affirmation here's what god says you know why you can see what's going on because you gotta function you know why people are deceived and they can't see what's happening they ain't got an unction but if you've been anointed if you've been dripped on by the power praise god you can see what's happening you can read a bible you can have a brain and you can see what's happening and you can say oh wow i can see this clear as a bell i can see clearly now why because you have an unction so people that remain dumb to what's happening they have education but they ain't got unction people say well you know y'all run around talking about the anointing what's the anointing it's unction from the holy ones what it is it gives you discernment it helps you see clearly what's going on when normally you would not see clearly what's happening around you he said so you know why you didn't leave because you have an unction from the holy one and you know all things he's going to say something else about it in a moment but i wonder tonight do we have unction have we been baptized in boldness is it an urgency is there that lack of hesitation is there that anticipation for what god wants to do you know why the lord doesn't do for a lot of people what they wished he would do when they come to church because they half-heartedly pray about it but never really expect anything when they get there well i know i need to be healed but you know i just don't know if it's going to happen i know i need my marriage put back together but you know maybe or maybe not they don't anticipate anything and if you come to church looking for nothing you'll leave getting the exact same thing when i come to church i'm anticipating people getting born again i'm anticipating people getting healed i'm anticipating things happen i don't care if it's a rainy wednesday night when i come to church i feel unction in my spirit i go get up and preach some little mundane boring sermon daily beloved welcome to wednesday night bible study it is my conviction to make the bible as boring as i possibly can what it's a sin to make the bible boring if i got a function you ought to have an unction and he said the unction will give you some discernment the unction to give you eyes of understanding the unction will open your heart and everyone in this room should have a hunger for the ocean to function and to walk out here and say god anoint me and equip me like you've never done before use me like you've never used me before do something in my life amazingly now i will say this let me say this and i don't know who this is for is for one person two person 20 person 30 person is for somebody here and online listen one of the worst things you will do in life listen to me as your shepherd i love you enough to say this it's so important one of the worst things you will do in life is to have an anointing from god and wasted on something he didn't call you to do now there are some things that lead you into your unction and there's some things that take you from point a to point b but some of you are frustrated with god and with yourself because you have an anointing and a calling and an unction that you are utilizing in another way and you are wasting the unction that god put in your life because you're getting frustrated doing something that you are no longer called by god to do that's why people sometimes if you just bring up a bunch of volunteers and you start throwing them in a bunch of areas that's why we do gifting tests that's why we ask what do you like that's why we have trial run with volunteers because what happens is if we put you in the wrong spot as a volunteer you can have unction and get burned out in three weeks because it's not where you're supposed to function not everybody's supposed to change diapers in the nursery right so you put the wrong person in the nursery and you say oh no god's called you to work in the nursery and you make them work in the nursery for three months they'll leave the church in four months you know why because they're burnt out trying to use an anointing on something god never called them to use it on because maybe the person changing diapers should be singing songs right you see what i'm saying and so sometimes the very thing that god gets you not just the people but the very thing that god uses to get you where you are is not the same thing that god uses you to get you where you're going make sure you're using the anointing in a right way and not frustrating yourself and frustrating god's grace and abusing the people around you with anger and bitterness and and frustration because you can't seem to figure it out because you're like oh my goodness i got to work work work work work look if you got to force it something wrong the church is bad about teaching people to force fruit out of season if it ain't your season don't try to bear fruit it'll be rotten it won't pick well it won't serve well and the bible says in john 15 8 hearing is my father glorified that ye bear much fruit there's a season for the fruit that god wants you to bear and so many of us need to understand that the reason we can see what's happening it's not because we're special individuals and we're so godly and we're so no we just have an unction from god and we're not stupid i was in dunkin donuts today and this woman she's a new lady in there man she was livid and they all know me in there as the pastor and she said she came over she said pastor she said i have an allergy to stupid people i said don't we all need to allergy like that i mean take some zertek for that she said i gotta allergy to stupid people another little gal came over there and she pulled down her mask and she said did you know you're everywhere i said excuse me she said my whole school talks about you i said where you go to school she said i go to a liberal college here in town and my friends hate you i had on that shirt that said social distance resistance and she said but i tell them this guy comes in here for coffee like three times a day and he's super legit and he never caused any problem and i have a hard time not liking the guy right but at the end of the day i can see what's happening people can see what's happening people know who's telling the truth and who settled the bill of goods because the unction helps you know all things look if you even read one verse of the bible a day you can figure out we're in a crap fest right now but i love that little phrase right there but here's the reason you didn't leave here's the reason you didn't get out here's the reason you stuck with it here's how you kept showing up showing up so you have an auction from the holy one and you know all things i want unction i don't care how much people criticize us for using the word anointing oh that's a weird charismatic word i like it pour it on me lord thicker the better i want it i want everything i can get ((music playing)) from god everything i can get there was a preacher many many years ago and a guy came to me said have you ever received the second blessing he said i never got over the first one and i never got over the first one i want all god has for me man i'm clicking on more cylinders now spiritually and pastorally than i ever had in 29 years of preaching the gospel and 45 years of living i'm learning things from the bible that i was taught was wrong that i was taught was crazy and i'm watching god do it i don't care what you call it i don't care what denomination you attributed to i'm watching god let me flow in a way that i've never flowed before and so the criticism won't stop me because i have an action and i want to know all things from god the other night we were in uh somerset kentucky and most of you you've heard me preach long enough you know i don't just like call people out unless like the security got to drag them out or you know unless i'm pointing at somebody but i don't just go to somebody and give them a word right in the service right i just don't do that i probably should more as the lord tells me and i've told you of a couple of times that i was very disobedient to that but this past sunday night i was not brother before disobedient and it turned out the way it should have so i'm preaching out of the book of jeremiah places pack there's 800 people in a tent that seats 150 my line 800 people they're everywhere they're all over the parking lot nobody's leaving they're like oh man this is great why because there's an unction when you get excited people together spirit-filled people together so i'm preaching and i can see people while i'm preaching i can look at you right i know who's looking i know who's not i don't know who likes it or who's not right and there was this young man in the back to my right that god just kept we weren't even really making eye contact i was just making like forehead contact with him i just kept looking at him and i'd preach and the lord just kept saying you need to call him out i'm like what i don't know this guy i've never met him a day in my life i don't know him from adam's house i never even shook this guy's hand he didn't buy a book i don't know who he i don't know how old he is i don't know his name i don't know where he lives i don't know his story i don't know if that chick beside him is his wife i don't know anything about it and god said you need to call him out in the service with the microphone while everybody's watching that's a lot of pressure that's an immense amount of pressure for a guy that grew up baptist that's a lot of pressure a lot of pressure and so i'm preaching and so we go to the invitation man people get saved all over the building it's beautiful and i was getting ready to give it back over to the pastor to the man of god and i said i gotta obey the lord i said are you all okay with that because they're like yeah and they didn't know what i was gonna say so i walked right down that side aisle while i'm talking and i'm like two feet from this guy i didn't know his mama was sitting in a row in front of him i know who his guy was but i knew he was on my heart and i just preached on jeremiah and all the reasons we tell god that we can't serve him and all that nonsense all those excuses that some of you still are giving that do not hold water in god's canteen so you might as well get over it no more hesitation obey god right so i walked back there and i said god has laid on my heart and knit me together with a guy i don't even know and i said sir it's you and i'm telling you his eyes bugged out of his head like two jimmy dean sausage patties and i mean i'm two feet from him and i stuck before i don't even know who you are sir i said but i'm gonna tell you something right now god's got a special anointing on your life and people have been trying to talk you out of what the holy ghost has talked you into and when i said that he broke i mean like the damn bro boom i mean he got to weeping he got to cry his wife she's like her eyes got all bugged out his mama turned around she said he he's on point he's on point wow how how does he know i didn't know right we know all things under the unction praise god we just know stuff you be careful we just know stuff but nonetheless and so when it was all done he walked up to me he said you read my mail and i said you sir i don't know why i said but god tells me you're a jeremiah you've got an anointing you have a ministry in you you have equipping in you and people are trying to you got to stop that you got to live up to what god's placed in you you have gospel value and i mean he just broke and was just crying and i just went back to my deal gave him the microphone i went to back and i sold books and didn't think anything else about it and i thought that was weird but it changed his life forever and he'll never forget it because to whom much is given much is required and now every night that guy peels his head he knows god has his number and when he starts to go back to all that nonsense and leave what he knows god's unction him for he's going to be like that little hillbilly pointed me out in front of eight he'll never forget it you have an unction and that unction comes with it discernment and some of you need discernment to use the unction god's given you properly if i'm making sense say amen but then notice as we close we're done we're going to quit we're not done he says in verse 21 i have not written unto you because you know not the truth he's like look i'm not writing to a bunch of ignorant as brick people i'm not writing something redundant because you don't know what's going on but because you know it i'm writing because you know it and that no lie is of the truth now we could go a long ways tonight but we're going to quit and pray listen no lie no lie no lie say no lie is of the truth they can't cohabitate it's oil and water they can't mingle can't have christ and belial can't have up and down can't have right and wrong can't have sin and righteousness can't have the temple of god and idols can't have them both come out from among them and be a separate saith the lord and touch not the unclean thing and i will receive you and ye shall be my sons and daughters and i shall be your father saith the lord god almighty there are some things we come out from so he plainly very very plainly very boldly in this context says look if it's truth it can't be mingled with a lie so why are so many people deceived by the lie because they're not walking in the truth because they're not walking under the anointing they're not walking into the dripping they're not walking under the unction to function that gives them wisdom to know the difference between what is right and what is wrong and deception has entered the church because we have filled the pews with phony people performers we clock in we clock out and he says you better know something no truth can mingle with a lie which is why if i might defend myself and defend our church for a moment which is why i do not i don't care if you clap or not this is why i do not and will never surrender my life and submit to the dictates of a fraudulent government that stole an election because god does not expect me to mix truth with a lie he doesn't expect me to submit to something that i know is against the word of god he does it he can't god does not fellowship with devils he just doesn't so to say that i've got to submit to something that god clearly said his evil is the lie that's the lie and so he said look you want to see what's going on get some unction you want to operate in power and not frustration get some unction you want to have some discernment and some biblical wisdom get some unction and it's time that we fall on our face and we say god we want more of what you have for us not less because i ain't going backwards right i ain't going back to where i was i may learn i may balance out i may figure some stuff out but it's not like i'm going to get up one day and say rewind all the way back and be like well you know that gifting stuff just don't work no more you know god god does doesn't speak anymore you know he's not healing so he's going to heal him one day when they get to heaven but he's not it's not like i'm going to rewind and go back i'm not looking for less of god i'm looking for more of god it's like our our kingdom ministry buddies in chattanooga more lord more lord i'm not looking for less lord i'm looking for more lord i'm looking for more of god's power i want to know more of the bible i want to be a better husband a better dad a better pastor a better preacher a better patriot i want to be better for christ not worse no hesitation i'm not going backwards i'm not kicking it in a neutral gear because i'm saying there's no neutral gear in christianity you're going forwards or backwards that's it forget those things which are behind and reach forth under those things which are before and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of god in christ jesus he said press it's the greek word agonizima it means i agonize i bleed i sweat i strain i work i lift i push i groan to have the unction in my life i press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of god i'm going to say this we're going to pray when i think of that i think of an experience i had many years ago at a place that no longer exists it's called pillsbury baptist bible college i was preaching an opening revival i was already in full-time evangelism years before i started global vision and i was preaching there in the dead of winter i was staying in the dormitory downstairs in the middle all the boys above me around me below me was a pretty sizable school they had me in this room with one of these gas heaters on the wall when it's old-fashioned look like 1800 thingamadills it's about 11 45 midnight it's cold outside i'm tucked into bed i'm trying to get a little sleep i've been preaching all day i had to preach the next morning teach some classes and i heard in sequence something sounded like this kind of distant outside my door and i thought that's weird so i'm checking the gas heater making sure i'm going to get blown up and i hear it shh i can't open my door up my walk out in the hall i want to walk the hall i can hear it louder you know sometimes in a dark your mind play tricks on you i'm like looking down the hallway to see if the devil is going to be sitting on a stool you know just taunting me but there was a door behind me there was three steps that went down to this big metal door and there was a light and i could see the silhouette of movement under that door and from that door i could hear in sequence every time and i could hear murmuring and mumbling and i thought i'm gonna open that door and there's gonna be sixty thousand demons in that room all over the place hissing at me so i gained my composure and got my courage and i walked down those three steps and i opened up that door and lo and behold at almost midnight it was the little dormitory workout room and there was this guy that was 85 pounds soaking wet laying on a on a weight bench with maybe 110 pounds on the on the bells right on on the on the bar and this big guy over him didn't even have a neck and he's saying come on petey come on petey push it petey and little petey's going and i'm thinking to myself this pipsqueak kept me up and made me think 60 000 demons were about to destroy me in my ministry come on petey come on petey but i'm gonna tell you something if you're gonna get some unction you better push you better lift you better press you better agonize you better endure some persecution you better let people cuss you and flip you off you better just come on petey i pressed toward the mark push so i don't know about you but i'm old sh tonight i'm old tomorrow i'm going next week i'm going to push i'm going to keep on pushing i'm going to keep on lifting i'm going to keep on praying i'm going to keep on shouting i'm going to keep on fasting i'm going to keep on prophesying i'm ghosty still stand under the drip and i'm telling you tonight you better get a holy unction to function and all god's people said thank you lord for the word of god tonight thank you for these few verses thank you for the worship for the giving for the prayer time thank you for the fellowship now as we leave and lord i pray you give everyone protection and safety but give us unction give us clarity with that function and as you move about our church and move about our lives and move about our individual walk and our families don't let us live in frustration but lord let us be released to do all you've called us to do for the kingdom's sake as paul said this i do for the gospel's sake we live and we die by the holy unction from god so anoint us and appoint us equip us and direct us tonight and may we be a church in these last days that just presses on for the kingdom in jesus name
