((music playing)) >> Come on, can we just rise to our feet in this place? Oh, Jesus, we thank you, Lord. Let's join in together ((music playing)) all across the campuses to lift up the name of Jesus today. Come on. >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) [singing] ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) [singing] ((music playing)) >> Come on, we say >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) [singing] >> Come on, clap your hands >> ((music playing)) >> in this place this morning. >> ((music playing)) [singing] [music and singing] ((music playing)) >> We say >> [music and singing] [music and singing] ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> Come on. >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) [singing] ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) [singing] ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> Come on, let's lift it up this way. >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> We shout ((music playing)) our praise.

Oh, we bless your name, God. ((music playing)) We magnify your name this morning. >> ((music playing)) >> Let our prayers rise to you today. Oh, we bless you, God. >> ((music playing)) >> Come on, just lift up your voices in this place. Let's bless the name ((music playing)) of God. We magnify you, Lord. Come on, we sing this out together.

We ((music playing)) say Come on, we say >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> That's our prayer. >> [music and singing] [music and singing] ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> This is our prayer to you, God. This is our hope, God. >> ((music playing)) >> Come on, we say >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> Come on, lift him up. Oh, come on, every campus, let's put our hands together. Come on, let's say five. >> ((music playing)) >> What a great day.

What a great way to start your day, right? And uh just so you know, we're getting so many wonderful reports from every campus, and I think yesterday they told me we had 2,600 that ((music playing)) were online. And uh so just so many people are engaging in prayer, and uh hey, after today, ((music playing)) only four more mornings, everybody.

And uh some of you are like, man, I wish we had What about day 13 and 14? ((music playing)) Right? And so here's what I'm going to say to you. If something has stirred inside you, like something's like, man, I just love this. I could do this every day. I think you're meant to lead a prayer small group. >> ((music playing)) >> And so, I want you to talk to somebody on your campus about leading a small group of prayer, because you know what?

You can keep this going all year long. And intercede for our church, and there's some of you that God's called you to that, and uh I want to encourage you to to to start a group, all right? And uh I'm stalling a little bit cuz I need my iPad.

Oh, it's behind me. Okay, great. Have a seat for a moment. Philippians, chapter 4. I want to I want to give you three postures of prayer that we see in this. If if you're uh new to morning prayer, then uh how it all goes, I'm going to share just a quick devotional, uh one thought from one verse, and then uh we will go into about 30 minutes of individual prayer.

And we're going to encourage you at every location to come and get prayer cards that are spaced out in different areas of the rooms that you're in. >> ((music playing)) >> And uh and then at about 6:45, so about 30 minutes in, we'll uh the team will lead us in one more chorus.

That'll be your sign that uh we're going to move into a time of corporate prayer. And >> ((music playing)) >> uh our topic today, I'm excited about is uh around the idea of churches, ((music playing)) ministries, and missions, what God's doing around the world, and so I'm excited ((music playing)) for us to pray around that.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 6 says this, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation" somebody shout every. Not in some situations, not when you've exhausted all of your resources, but in every situation >> ((music playing)) >> by prayer and petition with Thanksgiving we present your requests to God.

Prayer, petition, ((music playing)) and with Thanksgiving present your requests to God. Three postures of prayer. If you're taking notes on these mornings, write down. If not, go and write it down anyways. Number one, it says by prayer. And this this word in the original language has the idea of earnest ((music playing)) exchange.

I love that thought. That prayer isn't just us talking to God, but it is this communion with God. That there is this part of prayer that is yes, I am presenting my requests to God, but there's also part of prayer where I stop and I listen and ((music playing)) I let God speak into my heart and to my heart and to my life and I let God guide my prayer time.

Are you following me? There's some of these prayer requests you'll pick up and I would encourage you you don't really know the context of it and you don't you don't know the issue surrounding it, you just get one statement. And I would encourage you take this posture of prayer in that.

God, what what what do I need? Will you lead me in praying for this? Will you give me some wisdom in how to pray for this? It's that that's the kind of prayer that that Paul is writing about here. It's it's that communion with God. It's that exchange with God.

Then he says petition. And this is the idea of of lack or need. This is more the desperation type prayer. This is God, if you don't move in this situation, then I don't know what I'm going to do. We've all been there in a moment in our life.

I would I would if you've lived life. Hello. We've all lived that moment where God, if you don't show up in this. This this just doesn't have to be petitions that you make when you're in that situation. You can have that same spirit when you're praying for people cuz I would imagine a lot of these requests they've given to us >> ((music playing)) >> at every campus.

People feel that. They've put in prayer requests going God, I hope you do something cuz if you don't, I don't know what's going to happen. And can I just say this to you that you can petition God not only when you're desperate, but you can petition God in desperation on behalf of other people.

Well, let me say it this way. Maybe this will help it hit a little bit more in your heart. If it was your child, how would you pray? If it was your body that had that sickness, how would you pray? If it was the job you lost, how would you pray?

That's petition. Are you with me? And then he says with Thanksgiving. This is the act of gratitude as worship. It is the same word that is used in 1 Timothy 2:1 whenever Paul says, "I urge you then first of all that petitions" there it is again prayers, intercessions, and ((music playing)) Thanksgiving be made for all people.

This is a posture I want you to consider. We haven't talked about it this week. This is a posture I want you to consider as we move into prayer into a number of days of prayer. We're on day five, you know, we're going to keep moving forward in prayer is that at some point we turn our prayer from God, will you to God, I thank you you're going to.

Are y'all following me? That that we move to this posture of gratitude that that we thank God for who he is. So, it's his character to to comfort, it's his character to restore, it's his character to heal. We're going to talk more about the character of God next week, but it it's his character to do these things.

So, God, we thank you that that's your character. God, we thank you for what you are doing cuz we know God is active and moving, but we want to move to a place of God, I thank you for what you're going to do. And so, at some point it's like, okay, we've we've asked him enough.

Now let's thank him in advance by faith for what he's going to do. If you're with me, say amen. And so, let's let's pick a posture today. Maybe the posture is a posture of communion. Maybe the posture is a posture of petition. Maybe the posture is I'm just going to spend ((music playing)) these next 30 minutes just thanking God for what he's going to do.

I'm going to pick up every question go, God, I thank you that they're healed and I thank you that that child is back home and I thank you that that relationship is Are y'all following me? I'm just going to pray from the posture of gratitude over every prayer.

So, just choose a posture and and let's lean in today. Obviously, during this time of prayer as we say every day, we want you to take one that's comfortable for you. Maybe you kneel, maybe you pace, maybe you need to stand. Maybe you're like, I need to walk to stay awake, pastor.

Hey, whatever works, whatever you got to do. But just take a posture that's comfortable for you, but not distracting ((music playing)) for others. We're here to focus our hearts towards the Lord and not get any attention on ourselves. Amen, everybody? And so, we're going to take about 30 minutes now and then we'll come together around our corporate topic.

Would you stand with me at every location and let's pray together. Would you just lift your hands to heaven? Let's give the Lord our morning sacrifice of praise. Maybe with your own voice just let's start with gratitude today. Just thank God you're here and you're awake and you're alive and His goodness.

Come on, church. Let's lift our own voices today. Father, we love you. Oh, we're so grateful today. What a good God that you are. How gracious and long-suffering, full of mercy and kindness you are. And so, we honor you today and we begin our day. We enter your courts with Thanksgiving today.

God, we enter and just say thank you, Jesus. Thank you for the cross. Thank you for the empty tomb. Thank you that you filled us with your spirit. Thank you that you hear our prayers today. And so, we come full of confidence, full of faith, and full of expectation that you are going to do what you have said you will do and that your will will be done in every one of these prayer needs.

And we ask this in the mighty name of Jesus and the church said, "Amen." Amen. Here I bow, humbled that I'm allowed before the throne of God, the almighty I cast down all of my earthly crowns. Their only use right [singing] now is to lay at your feet. Who was and is >> ((music playing)) >> and is to come, to him be praised. >> ((music playing)) >> Holy, holy is the Lord almighty.

All the blessing ((music playing)) to the name above every name. >> ((music playing)) >> Now we stand in expectation for the day you're in the heavens. >> ((music playing)) >> Maranatha. Come, Lord Jesus, we wait. All our sorrows and our suffering now preparing >> ((music playing)) >> a way of glory for the >> ((music playing)) >> moment when we see you face to face.

Oh, how sweet it is to be known, to be found, to ((music playing)) be loved by you, oh king of glory. You tore ((music playing)) the veil so we could see the king of glory. The king of glory is in the room tonight.

Can you feel the weight of his glory? Can you feel the heaviness of his glory? And he's the only one we came for. We didn't come for anyone else but the king of glory. We didn't come for anyone else but the king of glory. But the king of glory.

But the king of glory. ((music playing)) Oh, we love the king of glory. Oh, we love the king of glory. Oh, we love the king of glory. Oh, we love the king ((music playing)) of glory. Oh, we love the king of glory. We love the king of glory. Let him in. Let him in.

You deserve every breath. Every breath in my lungs. ((music playing)) I live for you, God. And all I have [singing] is ((music playing)) just one life. I'll lay it down >> [singing] >> a million times ((music playing)) for you deserve it. God, you are worth >> [singing] >> it. No cost ((music playing)) too great. A sacrifice. You are worthy. >> ((music playing)) [applause and music] >> Holy ((music playing)) Spirit, come and fill this ((music playing)) place. We are [singing] waiting. Move without restraint.

I am an instrument of exaltation. And I was ((music playing)) born to lift your name above all names. You hear the melody ((music playing)) of all creation. But there's a song of ((music playing)) praise that only I can bring. Who else is worthy? Who else is worthy? ((music playing)) There is no one. Only you, Jesus.

Who else ((music playing)) is worthy? Who else is worthy? There is no one. Only you, Jesus. ((music playing)) You are the infinite God of the >> ((music playing)) >> ages. Yeah, you chose to make my heart your dwelling place. You healed ((music playing)) my brokenness. Show me your glory. >> ((music playing)) >> So I have songs of things not even angels sing.

Who else ((music playing)) is worthy? Who else is worthy? There is no one. >> ((music playing)) >> Only you, Jesus. Who else is ((music playing)) worthy? Who else is worthy? There is no one. >> ((music playing)) >> Only you, Jesus. Who else ((music playing)) is worthy? Who else is worthy? There is no one. Only you, Jesus. Who else is worthy?

Who else ((music playing)) is worthy? There is no one. Only you, Jesus. >> ((music playing)) >> You alone You ((music playing)) alone, Jesus. It's all about ((music playing)) you. You are the Lamb of God, anointed one, who was ((music playing)) and is and is to come, [singing] seated on the throne >> ((music playing)) >> the righteous one who shed his [singing] blood. >> ((music playing)) >> Jesus Christ, be lifted up.

Holy, >> ((music playing)) >> holy Lamb of God, anointed one, who was and is and is to come, >> ((music playing)) >> seated on the throne above. You're holy. You're the righteous one ((music playing)) who shed his blood. You proved to us the Father's love. Jesus ((music playing)) Christ, be lifted up. Holy, holy Lamb of God, >> ((music playing)) >> anointed one, who was and is and is to ((music playing)) come, seated on the throne above.

Holy, ((music playing)) holy righteous one, who shed his blood. You proved to ((music playing)) us the Father's love. Jesus Christ, be lifted up. >> ((music playing)) >> Who else is worthy? Who else is worthy? >> ((music playing)) >> There is no one. Only you, Jesus. Who else is worthy? >> ((music playing)) >> Who else is worthy? There is no one. >> ((music playing)) >> Only you, Jesus.

There is no one. >> ((music playing)) >> Only you, Jesus. There is no one. >> ((music playing)) >> Only you, Jesus. You're worthy. >> ((music playing)) >> Oh, come on. Put your hands together, church. He's worthy. All right. If you've been here, you know the drill by now. So, at every location, just make your way as close as you possibly can.

Fill in all the available space. And um we're going to pray around a couple of things today. Matthew 28:19 says this, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations." We know this the Great Commission. And it's in all four of the Gospels. It's in the very beginning of the book of Acts that our commission is to go.

Um it's to go and make disciples, to grow believers, to help people take really next steps is what a disciple is. They take next steps. They just continue to move forward with Jesus. And that's the that's the mission of the church. That's what we're supposed to be here doing is helping people move from being far from God to saved.

Then we're supposed to pastor them. Then we're supposed to train them. And then we're supposed to deploy them into ministry. And that's the journey of walking with Jesus. And you never outgrow that. You continue to know him more and more. You continue to need to be pastored cuz I mean you know that once he pulls back one layer of the onion, he starts working on the next layer of the onion, right?

And you continue need to grow in how God's wired you and what he's gifted you to do. And then you continue need to thrive in making a difference. You know what? You never outgrow serving. You never outgrow serving. So that's what he's called us to do is to go make disciples and help them go on that journey.

And so we want to pray around a few things around um churches and pastors in our local communities and across the nation, >> ((music playing)) >> around the world. We want to pray for um just I don't know if you know this, but uh a friend of mine said it this way, the early drops of revival um begin to fall in 2025.

And I was with a friend of mine, Pastor Jim Lafu uh the last few days. >> ((music playing)) >> And he's one of the most acute prophetic gifts I've ever been around in my life. And he said >> ((music playing)) >> um he goes, "I really sense from the Lord that the early drops have been falling, but the waves are about to come in the year ahead." >> ((applause)) ((music playing)) >> And so we want to pray for every church.

We want to pray for all the churches in our area. I think about Fellowship Church. I think about Prestonwood Baptist. I think about Milestone. I think about Keystone. I think about Hope Church in Frisco. Uh I don't know all of them in the area, but just some of the ones that I'm in relationship with.

I want us to lift up churches in our area. I want to pray for spiritual renewal across the churches in across the nation and around the world. I want to pray for uh church planting. Uh if you spend around me much, you'll know that church planting is deep.

I'm still a church planter, I feel like. God just put me in a different assignment. Um but life-giving churches in every city in America. And for years for you before I ever got here, um Gateway's partnered with great organizations like ARC that help plant churches ((music playing)) and organizations in the UK.

We just had a great conversation. They're planting hundreds of churches a year. They're The UK's going through what they're calling the silent revival. And uh I think it's about to not be so silent. But young people are flooding churches in the UK. >> ((music playing)) >> And they're planting churches by the hundreds.

And so we just want to pray God fan that flame. I'm just going to tell you, you're going to hear me say this a lot. Our success is not how many people we can put in a building. Our success is how many people we can send out of the building to go make disciples.

And so we want to pray for that, all right? And um So let's go to the Lord in prayer over that. Will you join me? Let's all lift our voices that disciples be made across ((music playing)) the nations. Lord, we just come before you today and we thank you um that you are building your church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.

We're fully confident in that. And Lord, we've seen that. And so God, we just lift up today the churches in our local community. Lord, there's so many wonderful churches that are doing the great work of discipleship and the great work of spreading the gospel. And Lord, we pray your blessing on them.

And God, we think of ones in communities where all of our campuses are. Lord, I don't know them all, but you do. And but I think of Fellowship Church and Pastor Ed Young. God, I pray your blessing over that ((music playing)) church. Lord, I pray that it would flourish. I pray for great harvest of souls.

I think about our friends at Milestone and Pastor Jeff Little. I think about Keystone and Pastor Brandon. Lord, I I think about Hope Church that recently went through a lot of pain and a lot of trauma. Lord, I pray for healing in that church and restoration. I pray for strength.

I pray their best days are out in front of them, God. >> ((music playing)) >> I pray that those who have God been hurt by the circumstances there, would you bring healing? We know that you can do that. We've seen that, God. Lord, I pray that you would just breathe on those church.

I pray for those across the Metroplex. Lord, I pray for the churches in Jackson Hole. Lord, God, where there's only 6% believers. Lord, we pray that God, you would bring a great harvest of souls, God, there in Jackson Hole that that many would turn to Jesus ((music playing)) and and grow and be matured and and discipled in their faith.

Lord, we we know that there's wonderful churches all across America and around the nation. Lord, we pray that spiritual renewal. God, that the floods of revival would flood into these churches, God, that they would God have just a new lease on life, so to speak. God, a new passion, a new hunger, Lord.

Would there come a great harvest, Lord? I pray that as young people are returning to the ((music playing)) church, would we have arms open wide ready to receive them. God, not to judge or condemn, but say come in and we will raise you and train you and God disciple you and point you to Jesus, ((music playing)) Lord.

God, I pray that a rising tide of revival seen not only in our church, but in God churches across the country and around the world. Lord, I thank you for church planners. I thank you for young couples who've got a vision and a dream in their heart and are willing to put it all on the line to see the gospel advanced in a community.

Lord, I pray you add to their numbers. Lord, we need more life-giving churches. I pray that you'd raise up young church planners. God, give them a fresh ((music playing)) anointing. Let the fire of God be on their life, God. I pray that you'd fill them full of faith. Lord, I pray that you would open doors.

I pray where they need buildings, God, right now ((music playing)) do supernatural work and provide. Where they need funding and resource, I pray for supernatural resourcing to happen in their life. Lord, I thank you God for planners like Chris Durso. Lord, we just pray for Chris at Good Company planning in the center of Manhattan.

I thank you for the generous people of Gateway ((music playing)) Church that are resourcing that church plant right now. God, I thank you for the supernatural growth they're experiencing. Lord, I pray that you add to their number. God, in a city that needs the light of the gospel. I pray you raise up more like that.

And God, I pray that in the year ahead God, would you would we see God, the tide of revival just rise. And not just rise in Gateway, but Lord, would you rise in this community? Would you rise in this city? Would you rise in this region ((music playing)) and around the world?

God, we are desperate for you. God, we don't think that where our programs and our system and our process is somehow going to do what only the supernatural can do. So, move by your spirit. Come and move by your spirit. And do the unexplainable among us. God, we believe for it.

I want to turn the the attention real quick if we would and agree around this. Someone gave me this ((music playing)) card and I just felt like we need to pray over this. Someone wrote down, "I plan to take my life after I've done everything on my list." So, I just want to pray against the spirit of death and of suicide right now.

Come on, church. Would you lift your voice at every location? We're going to believe for life over this person. That the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus ((music playing)) said, "I've come to give you life and give it to the full." Come on, can we do a little warfare on behalf ((music playing)) of this individual?

They will live and they will not die. They will see the goodness of God in the land of the living. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And we come in the authority in the name of Jesus saying that Jesus ((music playing)) comes to give life and life to the full.

So, I don't know this individual's name, but God, you do. I don't know where they are, but you do. God, I don't know others that they represent that today are considering taking their life, but we come against the spirit ((music playing)) of suicide right now in the name of Jesus.

And we declare life over them. We declare somebody that loves Jesus is going to walk into their path and encourage them. We declare the spirit of God is going to enter their home, their apartment, their car, wherever they are right now and give life and encouragement to them in the name of Jesus.

We believe it to be done. We declare this and believe it by faith. And the church said, "Amen." Amen. Amen. Come on, how many of you know that people are going through some real stuff? And they need a praying church. They need a praying church. Well, we love you so so ((music playing)) much.

I say it every day, but I want you to know it. I want you to hear it and feel it. Um that we love you dearly and pray that you have a wonderful wonderful day. And if you see me slip out very fast, I don't normally, but Tammy texted me and said I had a migraine, will you please come take the ((music playing)) kids to school?

And uh so, I want to make sure those little ones get there on time. We are an on-time family. Or or at least that's our vision. We're not there yet. All right. We love you so much. Have a wonderful day. Hey, make sure you're in church this weekend.
