Prepare For Outpour | Pastor Travis Greene | Forward City Church
Transcript
((music playing)) Hey family, thank you so much for tuning in to this week's message. I preached today a sermon entitled Prepare for Outpour from Joel chapter 2. It's where the former rain collides with the latter rain. Do me a favor, like, subscribe, share. Tell everybody this is a word for them.
I can't wait to read your comments below and I'll be back with you at the end of the message. Grab your Bibles. We're going to be in the book of Joel ((applause)) with the name. Chapter 2. I'm going to read one verse. >> Woo. ((music playing)) Now, pause this just to say I'm not used to this. >> I've been to many churches, ladies and gentlemen, across this world.
And so, so many of them have a cross on the outside, but no spirit on the inside. >> And just the fact that God would decide to show up. >> How many people feel changed already? Come on. Just because he would decide to come up to loose shackles, to erase shame off of your life, to rewrite your story. >> I feel something in this room. >> Do me a favor.
Even before we read this verse, lean over to somebody. Tell them, "Get ready." >> Tell them, "You're not leaving the same way you came." >> Come on. Tell them, "Not on my watch. You're not leaving the same way you came. Not on my watch. You done messed up.
You sitting next to the wrong person. I got enough faith for the both of us. You're not leaving the same way you came. Job chapter 2. Verse 23. Miracle can happen now. For the spirit of the Lord is here. Look around. The evidence is all around. Hundreds baptized.
The spirit of the Lord is here. Joel chapter 2. He's not done with you yet. Joel chapter 2. Verse 23. There's so much more to the story. >> You're not done with me yet. >> Joel chapter 2 verse 23. I'm just going to read one verse. It says this.
Be glad then you children of Zion and rejoice in the Lord your God. Here's why. For he has given you the former rain faithfully, and he will cause the rain to come down for you. Watch this. The former rain and the latter rain in the first month. A very simple message today.
It's entitled, prepare for outpour. >> Lord Jesus, breathe on your word. You're in the room. You're in the room. and we give you glory for your move. We don't take it for granted. Do an old thing, do a new thing. We surrender in Jesus name. Amen. Tell three people on your way down, prepare for outpour.
Tell them, prepare for outpour. Prepare for outpour. Prepare for outpour. Um, I'm excited. This is the final installment of our Holy Ghost series. Come on, you're supposed to be sad. Next week, we start a brand new series called Planted on Purpose. >> Pop. Come on, shout pop. >> And uh we're going to be in this for several several weeks and we're going to look at how there are benefits for being planted in the house of God.
I cannot wait to jump into that. But I do have a message from God today for you. Prepare for outpour. I checked the weather forecast and it's been to rain. Now, not everybody going to receive the same thing from this message, but there are some people in this room that have been experiencing a dry season.
I came with good news from the Holy Ghost for you today that it's about to rain in your house. >> Come on. You didn't hear what I just said. It's about to rain in your house. When you pour out, he pours in. This is why I worship. This is why I I'm unapologetic about my pursuit in worship because I understand that worship creates vacancy.
Man, every time I lift my hands, I'm actually laying something down. And I'm saying, God, here is a place not just for you to visit, but for you to inhabit. And when you move in, I don't mind you moving out anything that don't bring you glory. >> Because I am at a place in my life where I am ready for rain.
And the Lord told me to tell you, your dry season is over. Some of us have gotten so accustomed to being dry, but you better get your umbrellas back out. Some of us have got so accustomed to being in a desert season, but God says, "I'm about to meet you right where you are, and I'm sending rain, not just for you, but for your household."
This word is for those who have expectation that there's still time left in 2025. Who am I talking to? There's two and a half months left. God can do anything, whatever, whenever, however he want to move. Do me a favor. Punch your neighbor in your kneecap. Tell them, "I still got time."
Our word for this year was expand. And we gave out envelopes for our big gift offering. And people took them home and they had expand over it. And people wrote down their expectations for 2025. And some of you guys may have forgotten what you wrote down, but God did not.
And I came to tell you that he is a God who can fulfill every prom promise. I'm preaching to two people today. I want to preach to those who still have expectation. And I want to preach to those who have lost their expectation. Perhaps, like me, circumstances have caught you off guard.
Perhaps you've gone through seasons that you weren't expecting. Perhaps people have left your life. Or perhaps money dried up or something might have happened. I know there's stuff going on even with the government. People losing their job and people are walking around hopeless wondering, "God, where are you?
And how am I going to make it through this?" I want to preach to those who have lost your expectation and let you know, man, you better get your faith cuz you got to prepare for outpour. God is not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he shall repent.
If God said it, that settles it. For I am confident in this very thing, that he who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it to the day of Jesus Christ. No word can return to him void. So if God released a word over your life, I came with good news today.
He is a promisekeeping, covenant keeping God. I got one point today for the message. There's only one thing you should write down. Very simple. God is really good at being God. ((applause)) >> God is really good at being God. >> That's it. >> He was God before you was born. >> He was God before you were a sinner. >> He was God before your mistakes.
People will change, but God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. I've had plenty, ladies and gentlemen, and I've been broke before. And I can tell you something. God's been consistent in every season of my life. On the mountain, he's God. In the valley, he's God. In the hospital, he's God.
At graduation, he's God. At a funeral, he's God. My circumstance does not change his godness. >> My status is no match for who he is. He is I feel like talking about him. He is alpha and omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is a bright and morning star.
He is a lily of the valley. He is God all by himself. Self-sufficient, >> self satisfying, >> he is sovereign. He's not ruled by times or politics or recession. >> The stock market may crash, but God cannot. >> He is God. He was God before you got here. >> He'll be God when you gone.
He's so God and he's so good at being God that he's always present. >> He's always current. >> He's always in the right now. He's not just in history and he's not just in the future. He is right here. This is why Moses walked up on a burning bush.
There's a few things about this story that creep me out. One of them is the fact that he talked back to the bush. I'm going tell you right now. If I go in my yard and the bush start talking, I am out of here. The bush was burning but not consumed.
And they said, "Take off your shoes. You're on holy ground." And Moses said, "Cool." Then he started walking close and talking to him. And the bush gave him an instruction to go and tell Pharaoh to let my people go. >> And then Moses said, "Wait a minute, bush.
Who can I tell him sent me?" Yeah. >> And out of all the things God could call himself, >> he said, "All you need to tell him is that I am >> that I am." They started interrogating Jesus in John 8:58. And he responded to him. He said, "Let me tell you something.
Before Abraham was, >> I am." >> That's it. >> This is not incorrect English. >> Cuz most people say, "Before they was, I was." He said, "No, before Abraham was, I am." >> Hear me. Hear me. Which means I am always in the now. I am always current.
Now, I know it's been said that I am means that God that that means I am whatever you need me to be. I don't agree with that >> cuz I found that times I thought I needed him to be something and I'm glad he was not. >> So God's I am has nothing to do with my need.
His I am has everything to do with who he is. My God. I am simply means that he is God sovereign alone. >> I am. I am. I am. No box can contain him. >> No theory can explain him. >> Elon Musk has spent billions in space research and astronomers still cannot count the galaxies.
And so if the galaxies of the universe are uncountable, >> why is it that we think we can calculate the I am God? >> God is really good at being God. And this is important as a foundation because until you believe in his limitless ability, you'll never believe in his promises. >> Cuz you'll think that his promises are conditional based on your ability.
This is why I assume God was annoyed whenever people in the Bible try to give him their resume. You remember he called Moses and Moses said, "But I can't talk." >> And he called Jeremiah and Jeremiah said, "I'm too young." And he called Gideon and Gideon said, "I'm too weak."
And it's almost like God is like, "You think I need you to be qualified?" >> I don't know who this word is for. Somebody can go to Kik Keys right now. This is what you came for. You think God needs you to be qualified to call you. He don't call the qualified.
He qualifies those who he call. God said, "I knew your limitations when I put my word on top of you. I don't need your resume. I got my own resume. I am God all by myself. And beside me, there is no other." He is really good >> at being >> God.
Come on now. >> Prepare for outpour. Tell somebody, prepare >> for outpour. >> Confession. I hate rain. As a pastor, nothing worse than waking up on a Sunday morning and hearing rain outside. Cuz that mean church folks, look around. It's jam-packed. But 40% of y'all last week woke up and said, "God, just give me a confirmation if I'm supposed to go to church."
You saw the rain and said, "Well, God, that's my queue. Thank you, Holy Ghost." No, that wasn't your queue. I don't like rain. It was evangelist named Missy Elliot that said, "I can't stand the rain against my window." You remember that, Melly? Beep beep. Who got the key to the Jeep?
I can't can't stand rain on Sundays cuz it means that people may not come to church. Something funny happened to me about 20 years ago. I was on my first mission trip to Ghana to Mali, Ghana. And I was there and the pastors told us, they said, "We've been in a drought season and we have been praying for rain."
They said, "Would you join us in praying for rain?" And so the people who were with me at the time were more saved than I was. And they started praying fervently. Rain, rain, rain, rain. I'm looking around. Ain't no cloud nowhere. Cindering. Cindering. Cindering. Y'all, within a few hours, out of nowhere, >> it was like a tsunami touched down on the village I was at. >> We all walked outside with the local people and started jumping around thanking God that he sent the rain.
And it dawned on me, Pastor Jim, as I was praying for this message that the same thing here in America the pastors fold their arms about. that there are other pastors rejoicing >> because it's raining. >> And the difference is I've never planted anything that my survival relied on. >> So of course you don't like rain if you don't have seed in the ground.
Of course, a move of God offends you if you haven't been expecting one. >> Do me a favor. P. Somebody tell me, "I prayed for this." >> This was the difference between those in the upper room and those who were outside. >> Those in the upper room had swed their prayers.
They were expecting a move. They were waiting on a move. And expectation has a posture. That's why I can even tell in worship who's expecting a move of God and who's just here spectating. Because when you're expecting, when you've prayed for this, >> when you sowed for this, when you fasted for this, this is why I love Jordan Sundays.
Not just the people being baptized, but I love watching the witnesses that are standing around the pool, the mamas and the aunties and the uncles and the grandmothers that say, "I prayed for my baby to be baptized." Y'all, I'm not used to this. When my 11-year-old told me last week, I want to be baptized.
I'm not used to this. Somebody been praying for the move of God in your life. An expectation has a it's different when you've waited for it. >> Baby showers hit different for women who were barren before. >> My grandma had 14 kids. About number 10, it didn't even matter no more.
It just another child just whoops. But when you've been waiting for something, >> you have a different level of gratitude. >> And this was a 120 people who were gathered in the upper room in Acts chapter 2. They had been sewing their prayers. They had been waiting for a move of God patiently.
And the Bible says they were gathered in one accord, unity. Not only that, listen, whenever the devil wants to stop a move of God, he will send division. So you got to guard unity. They were there with unity. And not only that, the Bible says, "Suddenly they heard a sound like the rushing wind."
They didn't hear wind. They heard something that sounded like wind. What sounds like wind? The breath of God. God sent his breath. And whenever God breathed in the place, dead things come alive. Not only that, but the Bible says fire fell on each one of them individually because a corporate move is an overflow from individual moves.
That's why we have dead churches because people don't bring their own fire to the house of God. But not only that, the Bible says he gave them a new language. Now, this new language is not the same thing that Paul talks about in Corinthians. In the Corinthians, he talks about having a heavenly language, speaking in tonesues.
This is a heavenly language. And he said, "I wish that everyone prayed in the spirit. I wish that everybody prayed in tonesues because, and this is why people fight against it so much because this is a language that the enemy can't decipher. He don't know what you're saying to God."
The Bible said they edify your spirit. Oh my God. It builds you up in your most holy faith. This is the word of God. I'm just telling you what the Bible say. But in Acts chapter 2, he's not talking about that. He's talking about they had the ability to speak in different languages.
Imagine these guys 120 people some of which who are uneducated. Dual lingo has not been invented yet. They start speaking espanol. They start speaking Irish. They start speaking Japanese. They start speaking all these languages and the people outside are scratching their head saying, "How in the world are they speaking our language?"
It's because, hear me, there should be enough noise in here that you're able to speak the language of culture. Uh, let me help you. What good is it if you come in here and you got all your King James vernacular, but you are ineffective on your workplace? >> There should be something about I met a woman last service who was baptized and she told me I hugged her.
I said, "Congratulations." She said, "You don't remember me." She said, "You met me at Starbucks. You prayed for me at Starbucks." There should be something on you that's so tangible that it don't just work in these four walls. What good is your anointing if the only place it works is here? >> You offended.
So, I'm going to stay right there. What good? I'm anointed. I'm an evangelist. Who knows but us? Everybody on your job should know that you're carrying power. The Bible says that Peter walked down the street and it shadow healed people. Where is your effectiveness outside of this room?
They heard their language. That's why we engage culture. Entertainment should hear their language. >> The medical field should hear their language. Education should hear their language. And you can show up in different spheres of influence, still carrying the power of God. Do you hear the words that are coming out of my mouth? >> The Bible says the people are so confused.
They think that the folks inside been sipping on some scissor. It's the Bible. Folks said in Acts chapter 2:1 15, Peter talked to him and said, "Yo, these foes ain't drunk as you suppose. It's only 9 in the morning." Now, if you got drunk last night, that's one thing.
If you was drunk at 9 in the morning, listen, please see me after service. He said, "It's only 9 in the morning." No. Watch this. Watch the Bible. This is what was spoken by >> the prophet Job. >> He says in the same book you're carrying, the manifestation is happening now.
Job said in the same chapter, chapter two, in the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit. I can't even read this without getting excited. >> On all people, I like King James. He said, on all flesh, your sons and daughters, watch this, will prophesy. >> See, if you're not believing God to save your sons and daughters, you're looking at me in that tone of voice.
But he says, get ready. Prepare for outpour because your sons and daughters, you don't hear what I'm telling you, will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream, Come on, level up. Your old men will dream dreams. Get ready. He said, "Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my spirit in those days and they will prophesy." >> Hear me. >> One of the marks of his outpour is having a prophetic nature about you.
And >> I don't have time to talk about how there's degrees of this. There are some people who have a different level of grace. They could tell you everything you ever did in your life, >> but it should be the spirit of God should be so alive in you that you should have a prophetic edge. >> One of those things I'm I talked about this last week a little bit.
One of those prophetic edges is that maybe not necessarily knowing what's about to happen, but you have an inclination that something on the way. Yeah. >> Has something ever happened in your life you was like I just knew something was about to >> I had a mentor tell me one time.
He said Travis if you seeing in the natural for the first time you're late. >> I'm going leave that alone. He says your sons and your daughters will prophesy. My God. He says I'm going to pour out my spirit on all flesh. Now this is powerful because Peter right here is talking to thousands of people who have gathered in Jerusalem for Pentecost.
He's 50 days after Passover. the festival of wheats. Just for a second, let me teach you some theology. What this celebration was was they were celebrating a wheat's harvest. They were also bringing their offerings of first fruit. Now, here is what is puzzling about this text. You have thousands of people who have come and gathered to celebrate a festival, to celebrate symbolism, to celebrate a shadow. without being able to recognize manifestation >> the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed.
The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. So many of the things that were required in the Old Testament were only foreshadowed of something that was to come. >> I don't have time. I would talk about how the ark of covenant represent Jesus, how the tabernacle represent him and all this stuff.
I don't have time. But just know that the Old Testament is really a setup for the New Testament. For example, in Exodus when God tells Moses to tell the people, "Put blood over your doorpost." This is where Passover came from. Put lamb blood over your doorpost. And the Bible says, "When the angel sees the blood, he'll pass over."
So here they are now for thousands of years later celebrating a Passover and not even recognizing that the Passover lamb had come. This is why when Peter's preaching it literally while he's preaching in this sermon, he told him, he said, "Y'all the ones who killed the you here celebrating Passover and don't even recognize that he was the Passover lamb." >> Not only that, you're celebrating harvest not understanding that the true harvest is the church. >> You're celebrating first fruits when Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15 that Jesus is the first fruit of brethren from his resurrection.
And so you celebrating a shadow, not understanding that manifestation is in your midst. How many of us >> have been more addicted to tradition >> and so locked in on our method >> that we miss a move of God that we prayed for? >> Come here. Come here.
Come here. Come here. Come here. >> These people are seeing the rain that they read about in Joel and don't even notice it. So their arms are folded >> cuz they weren't expecting an outpour. >> It's crazy to me how we pray for revival. We even sing songs about it. >> Send your spirit, Lord.
Pour it out. >> Rain on us. Fill me up. All these songs, they're beautiful. We even wrote a few here at the church. Spirit move. We'll move out of your way. But you still in the way of his move. And so I'm sorry. I do have a problem with this modern-day American church. >> Because American church is way different >> than desperate churches in Africa.
Let me be the one to tell you. >> American church, we just want a latte and we want to put God in a box. So we say, "God, you can move, but only on our worship night. Sundays belong to us. We have a program to stick to. So if you don't do what you need to do within this time frame, you're not invited to do it.
When the Bible says, read your Bible. See, the problem is you haven't read your Bible. The Bible says when they built, this is Old Testament, they built him a temple. Solomon built the temple and said that the preachers, the priests literally couldn't even function because of the glory cloud.
What happens when God sits in a room and shut down your program? >> Your program is an idol. And I don't care. I'm rebuking you right where you are. >> So, we ask for a move of God, >> but then we push them to the side when they come. >> Jesus.
Come on now. >> We ask for a move of God, >> but we're more satisfied with butts in the seats than him actually having a seat. >> And now like other it's other syndrome. We're trying to manage when he choose to drop his glory. >> And ladies and gentlemen, I am unapologetically in reckless pursuit for a move of God.
I am a glory chaser. Where my camera at? Give me this camera. Let me make an announcement right here. Do not invite me to your church to preach. Don't invite me to your conference to sing if you don't want a move of God. I am in search for a move of God.
I am looking for his move. I'm looking for miracles, signs, and wonders. I am looking for people to be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. I am tired of entertainment. I am tired of American Christianity. I am tired of us coming in here folding our arms acting like we're doing God a favor for work.
You are not invited >> in a place >> where he's not invited. >> If he's not there, I don't want to be there. >> I'm good. I'm good. >> I am desperate for a move of God. I lay on my face every Saturday and I said, "God, take the script.
Take the program. tape planning center. And that's why Iman, I'm so glad you did what you did. Do you know how many souls would have missed that moment if you would have been so stuck and stagnant and arrested to a program bump a program? I need a move of God.
I need Holy Ghost power. I need revival. And I'm looking for the hungry people that say, "God, I need you to move. And if you don't come, I don't want to be there. You got 10 seconds. Take the roof off this place like you really want to move of God."
I said, "Shout like you want to move of God. Not a performance, not entertainment. There was a show on Discovery Channel called Stormchasers. There weren't any black people on the show, but there was there was a guys who would go around searching for storms. >> They even made a movie called Twister, >> searching for storms.
And I found myself being like those guys. And I'm searching for glory. >> I'm saying, God, where are you? What that means is this. God, what needs to die now, >> God? What do I need to lay down? God, who and what do I need to let go?
God, what do I need to shift? What do I need to change? Who do I need to apologize to? What what do I need to confront? God, help me. Because I am in reckless pursuit for the glory of God. Not a show, not tradition, not religion. I want a move of God.
The generation, ladies and gentlemen, is desperate for a move. And what we call church ain't working. ((applause)) >> It's not. It's only It's only reaching the people around Chick-fil-A >> because that's what the organization said. Plan a church by Chick-fil-A so we can reach these people. But what about the people who getting baptized?
Who this the first church I ever felt welcomed in? What what about the people who don't don't meet your qualifications? What about the lost? And I'm saying, God, whatever it takes, I'm going after the loss. I want every soul in Columbia, South Carolina to be saved. So, whatever we got to do, we are in pursuit of a move.
And I've determined that I'm willing to do whatever. >> If I die, let me die in the army of the Lord. If I got to go alone, me and Jackie will go alone. I'd rather have a hungry church than a full church of spoiled branch that just coming to be entertained.
If you want a show, go to the coliseum. But as for me in this house, we will serve the Lord. Grab your neighbor and tell them, "I need a move. I need a move. I need a move." I'm almost done. God is really good at being God. He's so good at being God that he is the only one who can control the weather. >> Elijah went to the mountain and prayed.
He said, "I hear the sound of heavy rain." And there were no clouds around. How did he hear it? Because he knew the only one who can make it rain. Did you know God has given man so many abilities? >> They can build pyramids. They can make man-made lakes.
They can even start fires. But there's no man who can make it rain. >> God reserved that right only for himself. And this is good news for those who recognize if no man can make it rain. That means that no man can control when it's your harvest time.
God can make it rain any place, any time. When he feels like it, boom, he could drop a harvest on you. When he feels like it, boom, he could drop a blessing on you. When he feels like it, he can open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing you don't have room enough to receive.
Grab your neighbor and tell them it's harvest time. It's about to rain in your life. We need the Holy Ghost. Prepare for outpour. In Job chapter 38, very quickly for 36 chapters from chapter 2 to verse 30 to chapter 38, God is silent. He allows Job, I love this, to wrestle with his own humanity. >> God doesn't mind your questions, >> but you better be ready when you speak up.
And the Bible says in verse one, it says that the Lord spoke from out of the storm that I preach all by itself. Verse 25, and this is a message translation, y'all. This is powerful. It says, this is God speaking back to Job. He said, "Hey, man. Who do you suppose carves canyons from the downpours for the downpours of rain?
Charts the route of thunderstorms that bring water to unvisited fields. Deserts no one ever lays eyes on. Watch this. He said, "Who do you think drench the useless wastelands? So they are carpeted with wildfly, flowers, and grass. And who do you think is the father of rain and do >> who do you think is the mother of ice and frost?"
I like when they get sarcastic. He said, "You don't for a minute imagine these marvels of weather just happened, do you?" He said I am the one who makes it rain. >> So when I prepare for outpour is because I have expectation that the rain pour the rain maker is about to send something my way. >> And when he decides it's time for your harvest >> there is no hater. >> There is no manipulator. >> There is no liar.
There is no witch. There is no warlock. There is no Instagrammer. There is no podcaster. There is no YouTuber. There is nobody that can stand in the way. My wife is one of the only people who knows this. I don't even talk about it cuz I'm healed from it.
But I do feel like just sharing it with you today. Something happened to me about 10 years ago. I released a song called Intentional and it took the world by storm. Went number one. Opened up a lot of doors. But there were a lot of heroes of mine in the music industry that were upset at my success.
Dolly, you would know about this. And they were standing on the door saying, "Who is this Dolly? And who is this Travis? And who is this Todd Delaney? And who is this Tasha Cob Leonard? And who are >> who is this new school?" >> They literally, >> Am I lying, Germaine?
They literally made a little pack. >> Y'all remember that game, uh, Red Rover? >> They tried their best to block >> the door. >> They call them gatekeepers. >> And they said, "Nope, this is our platform. Nope. This is already on station. Nope." But when God decides for it to rain, ain't no hater, ain't no gatekeeper, ain't no devil can stop the harvest from coming in your life.
And I came to Two Knox Road on this Sunday morning to tell you, get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Cuz it's about to rain in your life. Do me a favor. Grab somebody. Tell them, "Get ready for it. We out."
The Bible says, >> the Bible says in Joel, "Oh my God, I just felt something." I need you to give him a 10-sec praise like he's about to open up what man tried to block. He's about to open up what man tried to block. He's about to God is able to open doors that no man can.
Close doors no man can open. He said, "Behold, I hold the key of David in my hand. He is the keyholder. He is the door opener. He is the way. ((music playing)) Bible says we're out. Bible says in verse 23, I love this. Said, "Be glad. Rejoice in the Lord for he has given you former reign faithfully." >> I probably preached one of my favorite messages last week.
I'm not used to this cuz it just bragged about the fact that God has been so faithful in this church to give us rain in and out of season. >> Fa is anybody a product of faithful rain? I'm talking about through co I'm talking about through bankruptcy. I had a conversation this past week with some women and I'm at a a state in my life where I just like asking questions for people older than me.
And these women have something in common. All of them have been divorced years and years ago. And so I started picking a brain at this table. And I said, "Tell me about your divorce. Tell me about some things that were that were in common with all of y'all when you were divorced and what you had to go through."
And they started exposing me. It makes me a better preacher to have exposure and they started exposing me to things I didn't even know was a reality. >> Both of them said, "Our former husbands left us in debt." >> Not only did they leave us in debt, but they left us with the kids. >> So, we were used to two incomes and now we had to pick up pieces and and work our fingers to the bone.
One lady said, "The restaurants I used to go and donate stuff to, I had to go and wash dishes at." >> She said, "I used to buy food there and take it to people. And now I had to go there and watch this She said, "I I literally lost everything." >> I was looking at them and I wasn't looking at them in pity cuz both of them probably have now acquired more than I have.
I was looking at them and rejoicing in the fact that even when divorce left them with nothing, God says, "You don't need a man to make it rain. I am the God. ((music playing)) I am the Lord of the harvest. When they leave you, watch me step in. I'm looking for a hundred people and a 13y old that know the rain maker.
Give him a praise like he is able to do exceedingly abundantly. I feel the Holy Ghost. Above all, you can ask. When man say no, God says yes. When say no, God say yes. ((music playing)) ((applause)) ((music playing)) I love the church. I love the church cuz we have altar calls and our altar calls look a little different than other churches.
Our altter calls have some girls up here that you know probably were dancing for money. And the reason they walk up to the front cuz they found out they've been expecting the wrong person to make it rain. They found a God that can supply all their needs according to his riches and glory.
I'm going to give you 10 seconds. I'm about to go home to pray Jehovah Jar like you know he's able Jesus to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. He'll make it rain in the desert. He'll make it rain in the valley. He'll make it rain when you're low.
They leave you, he'll still make it rain. Faithful. Faithful. But that's not my favorite part. >> I said all that to say this. >> The Bible says, >> Help me preach. Give somebody your preacher voice. Tell them the Bible says. >> Theible says. >> Come on. Do it like Bishop TDJ.
Tell them the Bible says, throw it up for me. He's giving you former rain faithfully. Thank you, Lord. He'll cause the rain to come down for you. Watch this. The former rain and the latter rain in the first month. I had to do some research and I said, "What does this mean?" and research informed me pal that this is agriculturally impossible. >> What God is suggesting here >> is divine overlap. >> That ain't supposed to happen. >> That ain't supposed to happen.
We're not supposed to put up Christmas decorations >> to after Thanksgiving. >> God says what I'm about to do in your life. >> I'm not going to let the last season close before the new season show up. Divine overlap. While you're sewing, get ready. Harvest is about to find you.
Blessings on blessings on blessings on blessings on blessings are about to chase you down. God said favor ain't going to wait and turn this in time. intimate. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. I need somebody who is expecting an outpour. Lift your hands and give your God the praise like it's about to rain.
Oh yes, it's about to rain on my family, on my children, on my finances, on my ministry. It's about to rain. ((music playing)) We going home. My mom called me. My mom called me a few weeks ago. She's been preaching since she was 16. Got saved at 12. So she called me a few weeks ago.
Every now and then she'll call me with a pop quiz. She called me. She said, "Hey son." I said, "Elder, what's going on?" Said, "I got a question for you." I said, "What's up?" She said, "How many seasons are there?" I said, "Well, my education taught me that there's four seasons."
She said, "Name them." I said, "Spr, >> summer, >> fall, and winter." She said, "Yeah, you're wrong." She said, "That's actually five seasons. You're missing one." I said, "What season?" She said, "It's called due season. ((music playing)) I need somebody with expectation. The Bible said, "Don't be weary and welloing for in due season you will reap if you faint not.
It is your season for divine overlap. Your due season is here. Your due season is here. You prayed for it. You prepared for it. You fasted for it. ((music playing)) I found three people and tell them it's my due season. >> Don't hate the player. It's my due season. >> It's my due season. >> There are times that God bends his own rules because he's really good at being God.
And some of you are like, "Well, I don't think so." Well, how did Peter walk on water if God didn't bend the rules? >> How did he feed 5,000 with two fists and some bread sticks? >> If he didn't bend the rules, >> how did the son stand still for Joshua >> if he didn't bend the rules? >> There are certain times where God, just because he can, would bend the rules. >> And there's one rule that he made up called seed time harvest. when he feels like it, he can bend the rule and take time out of the equation where everywhere you look, seed harvest, seed harvest, seed harvest, your latter rain and the former rain is about to come down in the same season.
You got 10 seconds. Lift your voice and give your God a pray. He's about to make it rain. Layered rain. Layered rain. Hey family, I told you what a move of God.
