Transcript

Hey, what's up? Welcome back to Four Cities YouTube channel. My name is Jamal and I'm so excited for you to hear this word today from Pastor Vernon Gordon. We are still in our planted on purpose I hope you did the pop thing. We are still on planted on purpose and Pastor Vernon preached an amazing word entitled don't believe me, just watch.

And listen, I can't do it any justice. Grab your notebook, grab your pen, let's lock in and hear the word. Remember, subscribe and like our YouTube channel so that you can get all the updates necessary. But for right now, sit down, sit back, and get this word because it's amazing.

You're in a series called planted on purpose. Oh my God, I was excited. I've been preparing for that all week long. And and I want to take your attention really quick to a passage of scriptures, 2 Timothy chapter 1. And and I'm going to read just one verse to kick off our time together really quickly.

It says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." That's all I want to read right now. I'm going to read a lot of text today. If you're a note taker, I pray that you are, get ready.

But here's what I want to preach about today. If you're a note taker, I want to preach from this thought, "Don't believe me, just watch." Would you look at your neighbor and say, "Don't believe me, just watch." That was the wrong neighbor. Come on, find somebody cuter than yourself.

Come on, look at somebody else and say, "Don't believe me, just watch." Lord, I pray that they not hear my voice or see my face, but only hear and see the voice and face of you that lives in me. I decrease as you increase. Have your way. And it's in Jesus' name we pray and everybody said together, amen.

Don't believe me, just watch. I know the text may not seem connected to the series at first glance, but if you would give me a few moments, I want to walk with you into the text in a different way. But before we get there, let's just establish some house rules.

Let's Let's all be family. I think we first cousins Four Cities, so I'm going to just be family if that's all right. And I need a few honest people in the room. I need a few honest people online. There two types of people in this room right now.

There two types of people, I'm convinced of it. The first type of person in this room, when the calendar switched from October to November, the moment it became November 1, you begin preparing for what is my favorite holiday. It is Thanksgiving. Come on, anybody excited about Thursday? I can taste the food already.

Chicken of all kinds, barbecue chicken, fried chicken, baked chicken, sauteed chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, rolls. Come on here. Sweet potato pie. I feel the Holy Ghost. If you can't tell, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, Pastor Jamal. But But there's another group of people in the room.

And I'm not judging I'm not judging, but but but I know you're going to self-identify relatively quickly. These types of people, when the calendar switched from October to November 1, you immediately stepped into Christmas season. Come on, you got decor pulled out the attic. You You got Some of y'all got trees up already.

Come on here. Where y'all Yeah, you you you stepped immediately. You listening to Chris Brown this Christmas. Come on. You didn't already change your playlist. And hear me, I'm not here to come for your home culture. You got a right to manage your home however you like. But but I do have a question for you.

I think it is one thing to manage our home calendar the way we want. But what happens when you try to manage your life calendar the same way? Okay, let me make it plain. What happens when you tell God you want to change the season as well? And I want to talk about THIS FOR A MOMENT BECAUSE I believe that in many of our lives, we get very comfortable with desiring, here it is, skipping seasons.

Here's the danger. When you skip seasons, you skip lessons. And any place you refuse to learn is a place you refuse to grow. Could you imagine if a seed tried to skip seasons? If a seed skips seasons, it never maximizes its potential. Watch this, because a seed only comes into the fullness of what it's been called to be, not just when it emerges and sprouts, but when it is also willing to be first planted.

And we love saying pop in a room full of people. But what happens when you are on Tuesday night and life is not moving as fast as you thought it would and your vision plan and your vision board is not coming together the way you thought. What happens when you find yourself actually planted in a season of darkness?

In a season where breakthrough hasn't come just yet. In a season that you would prefer to skip. And here's what I've come to find, this is why many of us have fragility in our faith. Here it is, because we favor spiritual futures that are absent of spiritual formation.

I got two amens and a somebody walked out. Let me say it again. Because we have been taught to favor spiritual futures, but we don't get equally as excited about God's spiritual formation. And the danger when you love the future of God without the formation of God is you'll find your season into a frustrating season, because you'll say, "God, WHERE ARE YOU?"

HE SAID, "I'M WAITING ON YOU IN THE season you skipped." That this season was going to develop something in you. That this season was going to produce something in you. But you didn't like the dark. Here it is. And you didn't like being hidden. And you didn't like being corrected.

Y'all quiet. And you didn't like being told some stuff. AND SO YOU TRIED to skip a season. And now you find yourself saying, "God, where are you?" He said, "I'm waiting on you in the season you tried to skip." And I'm here to tell you today that if you're going to be planted on purpose, you have to be comfortable with understanding that every seed, which you are, needs to first be planted to walk into the promise of God.

And if we're not careful, we will adopt a Christian theology that favors the future, but doesn't see how sometimes God forms us. This is why in the book of Judges, we see a theme. We see an example of sometimes what God does. In Judges chapter 3 verse 1, it says this, "These are the nations that the Lord left."

Somebody say left. In the land to test those who had not experienced the wars of Canaan. He did this to teach them warfare. GENERATIONS WHO ONLY KNEW COMFORT. GENERATIONS WHO ONLY KNEW CONVENIENCE. Y'all quiet. GENERATIONS WHO ONLY KNEW DOORDASH AND PACKAGES COME STRAIGHT TO THE DOOR. ((applause)) GENERATIONS WHO ONLY KNEW HOW TO ORDER THEIR GROCERIES.

THEY DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO WAIT IN LINE. I KNOW, I got on the wrong road right there. AND SO GOD SAYS HE LEAVES SOME WARFARE SO THAT HE CAN DEVELOP SOMETHING IN them for where he's taking them. This is not just Old Testament, it's New Testament. Y'all have walked through this already.

I just wanted to build a bridge. This is why in Colossians 2, we see in verse 6 and 7, "And now just as you accepted Jesus as your Lord, continue to do what? Follow him." So what? Your roots can grow down into him. And your lives be built on him.

In other words, that when you walk with God and when you are planted in the house and when you are planted in a season that is going to bring something out of you, you have to be willing to let God do the work on you. Watch this, at a place that you may not always prefer.

That that that you might be on a Here it is. You might be on a team. Oh, y'all quiet. And you like, "I'm just going to leave that team." Why? Did God call you to it? I'm going to leave that job. Why? Did God tell you to leave it?

Cuz you begging God for a promotion, but when you get the promotion, you going to find out that you ain't like the people you got to lead now. And if you don't get your attitude RIGHT, YOU'LL GET THE PROMOTION, but your attitude won't be ready to manage the people.

And so you going to work yourself back into a regress season. And this is why we have to become more comfortable with being formed by God, planted by God in dark seasons and difficult seasons. And if you're like me, I grew up in a family I grew up in a family that that even though I went through all of those struggles when I was a kid, my family didn't care about none of that.

Cuz I grew up in a wrestling season. Anybody Anybody used to watch wrestling? Now, don't judge me. I know somebody wrestling. Okay, I'm sorry, wrestling. But some of y'all still say wrestling. Come on, wrestling. And and if you grew up like me, I was the small cousin. I was All my cousins were bigger than me.

All my friends were bigger than me. And so very often my cousins would come over the house and and they would often want to try wrestling moves out. And so I was naturally the most likely candidate to be experimented on. And I don't know if anybody GREW UP WATCHING WRESTLING, BUT BUT I'M JUST TRYING TO TELL YOU THAT IN MY HOUSEHOLD, I GREW UP IN a leg locker, too.

Y'all quiet here today. Come on, I didn't been in a headlock, I didn't been in a stone cold stunner. Come on, a powerbomb. Come on, a tombstone. Y'all quiet. A DDT, a sweet chin music. Come on. A German suplex, a frog splash. Y'all quiet. A TORTURE RACK. COME ON.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOVE? WHAT was your favorite move? 1 2 3. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR FAVORITE MOVE IS. NOW Y'ALL QUIET. Y'all catch it. Y'all good. All of that. IT'S A MIRACLE I'M STILL ALIVE. After all the moves that were tried on me. Here it is.

But do you know what happened? That as we worked on building our strength inside the house. That when we STEPPED OUTSIDE THE HOUSE AS A FAMILY, IF SOMEBODY else started running their mouth, WE WEREN'T SCARED, JACKIE, BECAUSE WE HAD BEEN FIGHTING INSIDE, WE KNEW HOW TO HANDLE OUTSIDE.

AND I CAME TO LET ABOUT 50 of you KNOW THE REASON WHY THIS SEASON HAS BEEN STRETCHING YOU IS CUZ GOD IS DOING SOMETHING IN THE house that's going TO PREPARE YOU WHAT'S OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. THAT'S WHY YOU NEED TO BE PLANTED IN FORD CITY BECAUSE GOD'S ABOUT TO FORM YOU.

AND GOD'S ABOUT TO STRETCH YOU. AND GOD'S ABOUT TO SHAPE YOU. AND GOD'S ABOUT TO SHIFT YOU. AND IF YOU RUN OUT TOO FAST, YOU WON'T BE READY FOR WHAT'S OUTSIDE. I dare 30 people to get excited about being planted in a house that ain't afraid to stretch you, that ain't afraid to wrestle with you, that ain't afraid to help you think, that ain't afraid to push you a little bit.

I need to be planted in the house. ((applause)) Got to be planted SO THAT GOD CAN PREPARE ME FOR SOMETHING OUTSIDE of the house. And this is where Timothy finds himself. Timothy Timothy is a young leader and he's learning how to filter his fear. Pastor Travis, what excited me when I looked at this passage and the theme of the series, I'd never really reconcile this before, is this reality that Paul is writing to Timothy, here it is, not about a fear that emerged outside the house.

He's writing to him about a fear that emerged from inside the house. Timothy is planted. He's leading. He's doing THE BEST HE CAN IN THE HOUSE, IN THE BODY OF CHRIST, in the church. AND EVEN IN THE HOUSE IN THE CHURCH, IN THE BODY, here it is, fear still shows up.

Cuz here's what I've come to find. That when YOU'RE PLANTED YOU NOT ONLY LEARN HOW TO FACE THE WORLD YOU LEARN how to face yourself. And I might get into some trouble here. I hope I come back soon, y'all. But but but But here's the deal. I think one of the dangers sometimes of the modern church is that if we're not careful, you can even come to church not to face yourself.

You can shout and never read scripture. You can run and never fast. You can know how to respond at all the right moments but never allow God to really work on your heart. And what I love about this exchange between Paul and Timothy is Paul is saying to Timothy, you've been planted in this role.

Planted in this position. Planted in this body. Planted in this house. But the fear that is showing up in you, I want you to be careful and properly diagnose it. Because just because you're starting to feel some fear does not mean you're in the wrong place. It means you're in the right place.

Did you know that the most repeated command by God in scripture is fear not. Over and over again, God says fear not. I love this. I love this because I think if God repeats it, we should respond to it. And I think the danger of not responding to it is always connected to your future.

Here's what I've come to find. Write this down. Fear is a form of spiritual warfare. Watch this. THAT PRIMARILY SEEKS TO COMPROMISE, here's the word, obedience. Do you know what fear most attacks? Is your yes. That's why some of us ain't serving now. Cuz you're afraid this church is going to take advantage of you like the last church.

And at the core of it it's fear. That's the reason you're in a group but you're never vulnerable in it. BECAUSE FEAR SHOWS UP EVEN in the house. And I love what Paul tells Timothy. He says, "Hey, I don't want you to miss what God IS TRYING TO DO IN YOUR LIFE.

I don't want you to miss THE POTENTIAL OF WHAT YOU'RE CALLED TO BECOME." AS HE SAYS, "SO I NEED YOU TO RECOGNIZE THAT THAT THING THAT YOU'RE CARRYING, THAT THING THAT IS FILTERING YOUR DECISION-MAKING AND YOUR EMOTIONS, I don't want you to carry that because God did not give you that."

God did not give you the spirit of fear, but God gave you power, love, and a sound mind. I love this. And he begins this conversation with Timothy. And this is what he says. This is what he says. This is what he says. And he never talks to Timothy about who's against him.

He only talks to Timothy about what's in him. Okay. Okay. Can I make 12 of y'all mad? Part of the reason you may not be getting what you desire or need out of this season is because you only talk to God about who's against you. When God is more interested in talking to you about what's in you.

And when you get your focus RIGHT YOU CAN THEN GET your future right. But you SPEND TOO MUCH TIME, HERE IT IS, FOLLOWING THEIR PAGE. OH, BOY. On their timeline. What they doing? It don't matter what they doing. Because what God is doing in me is going to prepare me for my future.

And here's what I want you to write down because for many of us we find ourselves in this tension. And here's what I want you to write down. What you don't change, you choose. You got to change something at some point. You got to do something different. You got to take a different step in a different direction.

What you don't change you choose. I I grew up in one of those type of houses. I don't know if anybody grew up with a mama like mines. But but but my mama will often tell me this phrase. I would be like, "Mama, why can't we go to the party like everybody else?"

I was frustrated and stuff, you know. Cuz I could dance. You know what I'm saying? I could dance. Mama said I could dance. And so and so I said, "Why can't we go?" And she would say this phrase. I don't know if anybody It would get under my skin.

As for me and my house. WHY I CAN'T GO OVER CHUCK'S HOUSE? I DON'T KNOW WHAT CHUCK'S PEOPLE be doing. I don't know Chuck like that. As for me and WHY I CAN'T LISTEN TO THAT SONG, BIGGY? WHY CAN'T WHY CAN'T LISTEN TO ME. LISTEN TO ME. As for me and In other words, she said there are certain things that we will not allow in this house.

And I'm here to tell somebody today, I need you to get that same attitude about your house. Some of you have let fear live too long. You've been letting fear mess up your dreams. You've been letting fear MESS UP YOUR MARRIAGE. YOU'VE BEEN LETTING FEAR MESS UP YOUR PARENTING.

YOU'VE BEEN LETTING FEAR INFLUENCE YOUR ATTITUDE. YOU'VE BEEN LETTING FEAR INFLICT YOUR INSECURITY. BUT I CAME TO ANNOUNCE TO 100 PEOPLE TODAY, IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO SAY NOT IN MY HOUSE. DIVISION WON'T LIVE IN THIS HOUSE. DIVORCE WON'T LIVE IN THIS HOUSE. OH, YEAH. INSECURITY WON'T LIVE IN THIS HOUSE.

BITTERNESS WON'T LIVE IN THIS HOUSE. FEAR WON'T LIVE IN THIS HOUSE. Here it is. And God is trying to take you to your future. But you got to decide what won't live in the house. This is why you got to get planted. Because if you don't get planted, you miss out on becoming all that God wants to make you to be.

Here it is. I got to move. Three things. Three things that the text shows us. This is not going to be revelatory. It is right out of the text. Ooh. Three things that Paul tells Timothy he can choose instead of fear. I came to announce to somebody today you can choose something instead of your fear.

Here it is. Number one. He said you can choose power. This is the same word that's used in the book of Acts. When it said, "And power came upon them." This is the same power that rose Jesus from the dead. It says that same power lives in you.

And here's what I need you to understand today because I think sometimes we make a promise that we can't keep. And I want to make this abundantly clear. Planted people aren't problem-free. Oh, you can be planted and people still get on your nerves. I know nobody going to say amen in here today.

You can be planted and things still go wrong at the job. You You can be planted AND SOMEBODY STILL PASS AWAY. YOU CAN BE PLANTED AND THINGS STILL don't go as planned. Can I tell you what makes a believer different? Y'all ready? IT DOESN'T MEAN I'M PROBLEM-FREE, BUT I CAN FACE MY PROBLEMS WITH A POWER THAT EVERYBODY else don't have.

I need about 50 people to say I need power. I need power to deal with this situation. I need power to deal with this circumstance. I need power. And we walk around like God left us powerless. God said, "No, no, no. I left you with power." Somebody's wondering, "Well, how do I access power?"

Okay, here it is. Here it is. Prayer. Here it is. Here it is. Fasting. Some things only come by prayer and Here it is. Worship. All of this is why being planted in the house matters because a part of what God is doing is he's allowing you in this season to get more power.

I'm going to tell you right now, I have been to very few churches that got power like Forest City Church. I'm telling you right now. If you at Forest City Church and you planted and you ain't got no power, I'm asking you, "What you been doing?" Because there's too much power in this house for you to walk weak.

IT'S TOO MUCH POWER IN THIS HOUSE FOR YOU TO WALK and act like you going to be defeated. IT'S TOO MUCH POWER IN THIS HOUSE FOR YOU TO ACT LIKE YOU GOING to lose every battle. But I need you to understand that what's on the head is on the HOUSE AND EVERY DR.

TRAVIS GOT POWER AND DR. JACKIE GOT POWER AND JAMAL GOT POWER AND AMARI GOT POWER and Reggie got power. If they got power, you can have power, too. I dare YOU TO GIVE GOD A SHOUT OF PRAISE IF YOU SAY, "I NEED POWER." ((music playing)) I need power to live right.

I need power to talk right. I need power to love my kids right. I need power to be a good husband. I need power to BE A GOOD WIFE. I NEED POWER TO STEWARD MY FINANCES. I NEED POWER. I NEED POWER. I need power. I need power. I don't just need good ideas.

I need power. I need I need a strength beyond myself. And hear me. People ask me all the time, "Vernon, how did YOU GET THROUGH CANCER?" AND I TELL THEM I WAS TOO YOUNG TO EVEN KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING. OOH, THIS GOING somebody right here. But I thought back the other day, Pastor Travis, of my grandmamma who would come to the side of my bed and she would pray over me.

And I didn't know WHAT SHE WAS SAYING. AND SOMETIMES I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE WORDS COMING OUT OF HER MOUTH. SHE I WAS 11 AND 12. I WAS CONFUSED. I said, "What is happening?" And I was borrowing power. ((music playing)) I need you to understand this next praise ain't for you, but I need you to send some power.

Send some power to somebody you love. Send some power to somebody who needs it. Send the praise. Send the power. Send the power. Send ((music playing)) Come on, 30 more seconds. Send a praise that sends power to your situation. Power to somebody on the sick bed. Power to somebody struggling in their mind.

Power. ((music playing)) I need power. ((applause)) Life is too hard for you to try to do this thing on your own. And that's why you GOT TO BE PLANTED BECAUSE there's only power that comes from being in the house. Here it is. Y'all keep playing. The second thing is this. Second thing is he says you will overcome it by love.

Somebody say love. Ooh, this blessed me. I'm going to do this quickly. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Don't miss it. He says if we are going to be the type of house he tells Timothy that can overcome fear. He says then we need power and then he says we need what?

Say it again. Love. And this is so important because in 1 Corinthians 13, look what it says. Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It is not proud. It does not dishonor others. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered.

It keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Always protects. Always trusts. Love never fails. You know what's so crazy about this? Is we very often use this passage on wedding days. But when you study the theological construct of New Testament writing, these letters were very often one letter not divided by chapters until later dates.

So, if you read the end of chapter 12, you'll see that throughout chapter 12, Paul is teaching on the gifts of the church. And then if you skip over 13 to 14, you see that he begins to teach about the order of worship in the church. But then if we step into 13, it's almost like we assume that Paul just had a a lack of ink.

Had a friend's wedding on the way. It was like, "Let me just put a little love chapter in the middle." In chapter 12, he's talking about the body. What it means to be planted in the house. In chapter 14, he's talking about Pastor Jamal, what it means to be planted in the house, how worship should go.

And then in chapter 13, he starts talking about love. And this is what he says at the end of chapter 12. For this is the greatest way to lead in the house. This is the greatest way to be planted in the house. He says love. Here it is.

So, I want to revolutionize your thought about love. This passage is teaching us the blueprint of how to be planted well. See, this is This is what we don't want to hear. That being planted is not just ABOUT WHAT YOU GET FROM the house. It's about what you pour into the house.

And you can't pour properly into the HOUSE IF YOU DON'T know how to love well in the house. And so he tells US IF YOU WANT to love well in the house. IF YOU WANT TO BUILD THE HOUSE. HERE IT IS. LOVE is what? Patient. Love is kind.

Love is not self-seeking. Which means sometimes I'm going to take your spot outside because I always get to serve inside. I'm going to take your spot in key so you can worship. So, y'all quiet now because we shout WHEN IT'S FOR US. BUT WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO BE PLANTED, YOU GOT TO HAVE ENOUGH LOVE to say I keep no record of wrong.

So, you walked by me one day and you didn't speak. SO, NOW I WON'T SIT ON YOUR ROW. NO, BUT I LOVE YOU ENOUGH TO NOT KEEP record of wrong because we cannot be planted and divided, planted and bitter, planted and insecure. We got to be unified. And we cannot be planted well if we do not love well.

He said there's a fear emerging in the house. I need you to overcome it. How you overcome it? With power. With love. Here's the last one. What he say? And a sound Watch this. And this is so important because for so many of us, we don't recognize that this is where the enemy offers some of his greatest attack.

Some of you are great at church, but you're horrible at sleeping. You're great at church, but but your thoughts get the best of you. And this word here in the Greek for sound mind means disciplined courage or thinking. Here it is. That brings emotions under control. I love this.

For the sake of the mission. So, a sound mind is the ability to discipline my thoughts in such a way that I say it's not just about me, but it's about the house I'm planted in. It's about the people I'm called to serve. It's about building the body of Christ.

How do we keep a sound mind? I'm going to give you these three things quick. I got to go. Contentment helps you keep a sound mind. Contentment. Do you know one of the dangers of the body of Christ right now? We come to the house where we're supposed to be healthy and then we get caught in comparison.

In the very place that's supposed to help us believe in ourself, we get frustrated because we're not living the life that somebody is on the row next to us. You know, just can't even enjoy worship because you like the outfit they came in. I just wish I had distracted.

Contentment. Here's the second one. I got to move. Confession. Look at Look at James 5:16. Therefore, confess your sins to each other. See, we don't like passages like this. And pray for each other so that you may be And I'm here to tell you today that confession is a healthy part of being planted.

Now, hear me. I ain't saying call everybody in your group chat. But if you can't talk to nobody, whatever you hide, you can never heal. Here is. The last thing is this, community. I came on assignment to tell you today that you found a house that is worth being planted in.

And and and one of the things I wrote about in the book towards the middle is that community is so vital to the design of God for your courage. Because becoming brave is a personal project, but staying brave is a group project. You you need people to lift you up cuz cuz cuz here's what I came to let you know, you ain't going to feel strong all the time.

Everybody needs one friend. Somebody say one friend. Everybody got one who don't need to know why we fighting. Don't need to know who done it. All they need to know is tell me where to be and when and I'm pulling up on you. I'm fighting with you and I'm trying to tell you today that's why you need to be planted in Forward City Church because you got some people around you who going to pull up and pray and they ain't got to know who did it, when it happened, how many times you did it.

You need some people who will fight for you in the spirit and in the natural every now and then. YOU NEED TO SAY I'LL SHOW UP TO THAT JOB AND TELL THEM THE CALLING ON THEIR LIFE IS TOO GREAT, BUT YOU'RE TO LET THEM GO. YOU need some people to stand with you and I'm here to tell you today if you need a church home, you better plant yourself in a house that knows how to war in the spirit and war in the natural.

You need community. And if you learn, watch this, community will help you keep a sound Contentment will help you keep a sound confession. WHAT'S KILLING YOU IS YOUR SECRETS. And the enemy knows AS LONG AS YOU'RE SILENT, YOU'LL NEVER BE FREE. And this is why you got to be planted IN A HEALTHY HOUSE BECAUSE CONFESSING to people who will perpetuate THE CYCLE IS NOT GOING TO HELP YOU GET FREE.

And so I'm here to tell you today that God wants you planted so that, watch this, the version of you that will emerge in your future will thank you for the plantedness you had this time. And as I close, what I think is so interesting about Paul's commentary to Timothy, he never tells Timothy to go and try to convince the people of who he's called to be.

He simply tells him that when you leave this moment, I want you to know that you can choose power. You can choose love. You can choose a sound mind. And you don't got to convince people to believe you. They can just watch you. I want to encourage somebody today.

You ain't got to make nobody believe in all that God called you to be. But when you walk out of here, I need you to tell somebody to say don't believe me, but just watch. This seed is growing in my life. The version of me that you see today is the weakest I will ever be.

This version of me is the work I I this is the worst you'll ever see me. So you AIN'T GOT TO BELIEVE ME, BUT just watch. You I'm a seed right now. I'm in the dark right now, but don't believe. Just watch. I'M BECOMING SOMETHING GREAT. WHY? BECAUSE I'M PLANTED and because I'm planted, there is a version of me that you can watch and see come to pass.

Man, I hope that you were blessed by that word. Listen, do not be stingy with the word today. Send it to a friend, family member, co-worker because we need as many people to understand that God has not given us a spirit of fear. Also, I need for you to like this video if you enjoyed it and subscribe to our YouTube channel so that you can stay up to date on all things Forward City Church.

Listen, we love you so much. We don't dismiss you at Forward City, but we make this declaration. Your past is gone. Your future is waiting. Move forward. Love you. See you next week.
