Sometime in 2022 when I was pregnant for my daughter. I was on bed rest. One day I stood up. I felt a sharp pain on my left knee. From that day I started having issues with my legs. The pain will move from my legs to my hands. I started going from one hospital to the other.

I was diagnosed of rheumatoid arthritis. They kept managing me. The more medication they were giving me, the more the pain was still coming. I don't know how God did it. 2023 I felt better. Then I was posted from Kaduna to Abuja. I was managing myself. Not like the pain was entirely gone.

This year around February the pain came back with full force to the extent that if I want to work, I'll need support. I can't work on my own. Going to work, I will have to be managing myself. Then on the 23rd of this month, someone invited me to this place.

I came on the 24th and while the prayer was going on, God touched me. That was on a Tuesday like this, 24th of last month. >> While the prayer, I came in with support, I couldn't walk on my own. But while the prayer was going on, God touched me.

Very quickly, the topic is defining godly character. Defining godly character. Our anchor scripture is Acts 24 and in verse 16.

And herein do I exercise myself to have always a conscience void of offense toward God and toward men. Hallelujah. Thought for the day. Godly character is a function of possessing a conscience that is void of offense towards God and towards men. The subject of character means different things to different people.

For some, character means living by a set of rules or regulations. For others, it is about good upbringing. In our anchor scripture, Paul the Apostle gave an insightful summary of what godly character is all about. In our study today, I will give a few definitions of godly character based on this and other scriptural insights.

Now, what is godly character all about? It is about possessing a conscience that is void of offense towards God and towards men. Acts 24 and verse 16. This is living in such a way that your conscience is clear both before God and before men. You're not living in a way to offend God or man.

It gives you an effortless godly character as a result. Godly character is a function of possessing a conscience that is void of offense towards God and towards men. Number two, character or godly character is a function of living in the fear of God. Job 1:1, that healthy fear of God that causes people to depart from evil is character.

Job feared God and assued evil. That was what made him a man of character. In Genesis 42 and in verse 18 we see the life of Joseph where he said unto them the third day this do and leave for I fear God. The character of Joseph was a function of the fear of God.

Proverbs 8:13 says, "The fear of the Lord is is to hate evil, pride and arrogance, and the evil way and the forward mouth do I hate." The meaning of that is people of no character have no fear of God. A man recounted his experience in kidnappers camp and one of the kidnappers was telling him, "Look, I don't fear God.

That is what makes that evil a devil. that devil a devil. Number three, character is a function of living a life of love for both God and man. Romans 13 and in verse 8. This is a life of love for both God and man. Living God, loving God and loving man means you don't intentionally hurt those around you.

You don't deliberately or intentionally hate those you love. You love God so you won't deliberately hurt him. Beloved, if you love people, you won't deliberately hurt them. No matter what he did, he saw the woman still coming. Came to him and disappeared into him. You heard his testimony. That was the end of his assignment. Rendered miserable. Some of you heard that testimony. He started all manner of terrible vices. It took God to bring him for that power to be broken.

So if you mention this place, you will be running. Yes. >> Yes. The Martin that was delivered something entered into him. How many of you do you understand that kind of a thing? What kind of woman should that be? >> A witch, right? It's all right. They will all be dismantled tonight.

So you are the light of the world. Light is answer. Light is solution. Light is illumination. A city set on a hill that cannot be he. Number three is connected to number two. The mercy of God brought Isaac to be a source of joy and laughter to a people.

A source of joy and laughter. The the name Isaac actually is literally like the God who made me to laugh. Literally joy, laughter. Do you know the meaning of that? If you are laughter, is there any devil that is permitted to steal your laughter? You are laughter, not sorrow.

You are joy, not pain. I have literally spoken to a joy right now. Joy by name that the enemy has put pains all over. Are you hearing what I'm saying here today? The Lord Sarah said, "God has made me to laugh and people will laugh with me." God brought you to this world to make generations to laugh to introduce joy to people.

No wonder I said you are an eternal excellency. The joy of many generations. The joy of many generations. The joy of many generations. What was the process? I put that person in front. Is that is the process normal? Is the process accurate? Is the process correct? Then the second thing, what is the character of the person? What is his behavior? How is he like, what is his relationship with God? Has he ever raised any altar? to the God of heaven.

Answer is capital no. So it doesn't matter who is in front. If he if he is not correctly in front and if his behavior is not correct, he will be replaced. Will you stand up on your feet and shout? Amen. >> It doesn't matter who is in front.

Apply this to every area of life. Apply it to family life, ministry, the business world. The political world. It doesn't matter who is in front. The question is how did he come to the front and what is his character? If those two are not good, he will be replaced.

Hallelujah. >> So don't blame God for bringing Isaac and putting him in front. Don't blame God because with God actions are weighed. What is my counsel to you? Twofold. If you want the mercies of God, follow process. And number two, operate principles. Follow process. Don't cut corners. Don't cut corners.

Don't bypass the process of God. Don't bypass the process that is accurate and correct. And number two, operate principles means behave well. Receive help and mercy of God to manifest accuracy of behavior. If you read Genesis 24:63, when I saw this, my respect for Isaac shifted and Isaac went out to the to meditate in the even tide.

Isaac was a man of deep thought, >> deep meditations, deep communion, deep communication, deep fellowship with God. So you will see in the life of Isaac some things that you may not even see in Abraham or Jacob. For example, Isaac was tied to his wife for life. Jacob married two sisters and their house girls >> four Abraham you know his own story Isaac just remained even when his wife his beloved Rebecca >> could not be pregnant it was him who went to God to pray he didn't say woman go and bring me a He cried to God for his wife.
