Bethel Church Service | Christmas Concert | A Night of Christmas Songs, Carols, and Worship
Transcript
Oh, hello online family. So nice to be with you guys tonight. My name is Cassie. I'm your director of Bethl online church. I've got my dear friend Jory with me. >> Love our Cassie. >> Jory is one of our revival group pastors in BSSM first year. And tonight we have the brain guest boss. >> Hello everyone.
So fun to be [laughter] new. Who am I? It's a great question. [gasps] >> Do you want me to actually answer? [laughter] >> I want to know. >> Who am I? I'm Brady. I lead worship here at Bethl. Um I also get to worship pastor at BSSM. It's a lot of fun. >> We love Is that good? >> Yeah, that's great.
Well, we are live so it's just happening. [laughter] >> Um guys, if you don't know, tonight we are hosting um a Christmas concert. It's called A Joyful Noise. It's our second annual Christmas concert. This is um it's going to be a fun. >> What can we expect tonight, Brady? >> It's a lot of fun.
I think we have over it's like 18 songs we have prepared. And so we've what I love about tonight is it's a chance to celebrate Christmas, but we get to hear people from like every corner of the house. So we have some people from Tribe Young Adults. We have some people from our local church community.
Emmy from Bethl Music is with us as well. We have Judah Valenuela who is Bill's grandson and Leah and his sister Isabella. Just lots of people. We've got someone from first year, a team from third year, a team from second year. It's just the whole Bethl picture in one night, which is fun. >> Isn't it so fun that we have so many different ministries, so many people from all around the world, and they are like unbelievably gifted, like anointed, and they're here tonight to actually usher us into the presence of God. >> Tonight's going to be a little different.
It's not going to be our normal 600 p.m. service. It's going to be a little bit more of a Christmas concert. And so, this might be not just sing along, right? Right? Like it's not just like a sing along, but actually like >> definitely sing along. >> Yeah, sing along. >> But it's not just like us performing for you.
This is us actually ministering to the Lord. We're going to be singing, worshiping, uh ministering to him. But we we encourage you to actually participate. >> Turn up the music, stand with your family. >> Invite people into the living room and allow yourself to just worship God, but also enjoy the incredible talent from the people from our house. >> Yes. >> Yeah.
Brady, what are you singing tonight? >> I am singing I'd never heard this song. >> Okay. >> So, Gabe Valenuela picked this and it was a good pick, but it's called The Moment the Whole World Changed by Danny Gouki. >> Wow. >> Are there any Danny Gouki fans on the lived?
Put in the chat. >> I remember watching Danny Goki at home on American Idol back in the day. Would vote for him, funny enough. But [laughter] >> here we are full circle doing a little Danny karaoke. >> So cool. >> Karaoke, maybe we should go. Danny Keroki, trademark that.
Danny, if you're watching, >> maybe some of you were like, I've seen this man lead. He's so anointed. He ushers us into the presence of God, but didn't know he was so funny. >> You're getting to see Brady Boss. >> I like that you think I'm funny. That's >> I think you're hilarious.
Brady's a dear friend of mine, and he is unhinged really hilarious. But we love him. We're excited. I know you're heading back, Brady. Um, you've got a couple of teams that are about to go on. Um, and we've actually got one of your students here tonight. who's going to be um leading with us.
So, is if it's okay, is there anything else you'd want to say to our online family before we >> I would say just sing loud, make it collaborative in your home, get some hot chocolate, you know, turn the fireplace on, any traditions you have, maybe start some new ones tonight.
We'd love to This would feel like we're doing this together. And um yeah, sing loud. >> We love that. If you want to send your Instagram stories to Brady Vos, [laughter] going as loud as you can. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Um but Brady, we love you. Thanks so much for leading us tonight.
You guys will see Brady in a few minutes. And we're going to welcome on one of our first year students. Actually, Jory pastor is in first year. This is Alexis. >> Hey everybody. >> Alexis, this is your first time on online connect. >> It sure is. >> Tell us where you're from. >> I am from Kentucky originally.
Um, and I have been in Montana for the past couple years. >> Okay. Uh, anyone from Kentucky or Montana? You could give us a little um, you can't really wave at us. You could, we just wouldn't see it. But maybe throw it in the chat if you're from the deep south. >> Yeah, we love some southerners.
[laughter] >> Oo. What kind of food do you eat in the south during like Christmas time? >> Um, I feel like ham, like turkey is for Thanksgiving. You can honestly there's a lot that translates between >> uh Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I would say there's more of an emphasis on ham >> for Christmas, which is personally my favorite.
I can forego the turkey, but >> a lot more. >> Yeah. And there's a lot more I think um peanut butter fudge. Anybody love peanut butter fudge? I feel like there's always like 20 types of fudge, chocolate and peanut butter when you go to somebody's house or church. >> That's so good. >> Alexis, are you on the worship teams in school? >> Yeah.
So, I have the honor and pleasure of being a worship lead at um BSSM year one. >> She's amazing. She's amazing. It's a learning curve and I'm just happy to do it. And it's it's a really great place to um to grow and feel supported in that and learn to really um listen to the Lord's leading like in worship.
And that's a bit new for me, but I feel safe in like Brady's hands and obviously in the Lord. So, it's been really been really challenging, but also so good. Crushing it, doing such a good job. >> Alexis, you're probably leading tonight with a couple other people from first year.
What are you guys singing tonight? We are singing Oh, Come All You Faithful by my favorite band, Johnny Swim. >> Brady asked me and he said, "Do you know who Johnny Swim is?" And I was like, "Do I know who Johnny [laughter] Swim is?" Um, and they have a really beautiful, uh, rendition of Oh, come all Are all You faithful.
So, uh, Ricardo and I are going to tackle it today. >> Ricardo is actually one of my students. I know it's going to be awesome tonight. >> This is going to be good. Maybe you guys could put some of your favorite Christmas carols in the chat. There's a good chance that we are going to be um singing one of those Christmas carols tonight, but if not, maybe it's a great idea for the future. >> Yeah, >> you never know.
Um Alexis, is there anything that you're sensing from the Lord that he wants to do tonight, even as we do a Christmas concert? I know it's not our typical service, but guys, God will be here. [laughter] >> God will show up. He will be glorified. His presence will be close to us.
Tell us, is there anything else that you're anticipating? >> I just feel um almost a tangible joy. I think it's awesome to be um sincere with the Lord, but there is I feel like a specific type of joy of the coming of Jesus. And so, I feel like that's going to be tangible in the room, and that's going to be the most important thing to me. >> Come on, guys.
Let's celebrate Alexis. We've got one more worshipper who's going to come on a Levite. This beautiful priest. Wow. >> Yes. Aubrey >> online community. Do you guys know Aubrey Archebeck? Wow. What a dream. Are you on? >> I think so. >> She's on. Some of you guys would know Aubrey because she leads um >> pretty much any and all services.
The 10:30, the 6 p.m. She's released a few songs with Bethl Music. She's a BSSM alum um alumna. We're super super thankful that you're here, Aubrey. Um what are you leading tonight? >> I'm leading Oh Holy Night. >> Oh, it's one of my favorites. >> I know. I love that one, too. >> You want to sing it with her right now? >> Uh no, that's okay.
[laughter] >> Jory said, "And I'll just let you do that." >> Oh, Kath, I see in the chat, "Oh, Holy Night is your favorite Christmas carol." What a gift that Aubrey is going to be singing that tonight. We've got um so many different parts of our worship community who we've had even on this online connect tonight who are just sharing a little bit of their heart.
Aubrey, what are you expecting the Lord to do tonight? >> I just feel like joy. >> I feel so much joy celebration >> uh that of of the story of of Christmas of Jesus coming. Love it. >> Uh >> yeah, I'm excited about it. That's what I'm feeling.
Come on. If you were in your living room and say you were someone um tuning in from home, you know, whether you're in Reading, whether you're in Germany, whether you're in Colombia, and you're like, I'm tuning in. I'm not sure what to expect. How would you suggest that they posture their heart?
Or say you're at home, you're like, "What what would you do to get ready for tonight?" >> Oo, get excited. >> Uh get ready to have some fun. >> Let's go. >> Sing along. Worship Jesus. >> Yeah, that's what I'd say. It's good. >> Love it. >> Love it. >> I'm in for that. >> I'm in for that. >> Yeah.
I wonder Oh, go ahead, >> Aubrey. I want to know what your favorite Christmas treat is or favorite cookie. I'd love to know like what do you have every single Christmas? It's like a tradition of yours. >> Oh, our family loves like we make like a berry pie. >> Yum. >> Or a berry crumble.
That's like my the the dessert for our family. As far as Christmas Christmas trees, my family has allergies, so we have to do fake fake trees, which is so sad. I don't have allergies, so I can do a real Christmas tree, but I've never had the experience of having a real Christmas tree.
So, >> one of these days, healing. >> Yeah, I was going to say we need allergies. If that's something that you struggle with right now, perhaps [laughter] that is a word of knowledge and that God wants to heal allergies from pine or from trees, whatever that looks like, >> so that you can enjoy the fullness of even that scent.
Um, Aubrey, why don't you pray for us before we go in cuz I think we're about to start worship in just a few minutes. Pray. >> Let's pray. >> Yeah. Father, we thank you. We thank you for this day, Lord. I thank you that we get to gather as your bride and just celebrate this time.
Celebrate uh you. Um Father, I thank you that tonight is about you. We're singing songs and carols and we're doing performances, but Lord, would you be the center of tonight? Would every eye see you? I pray that people would encounter you in the room and online. I thank you for your presence.
Uh I thank you that it's with us all the time. Uh, be glorified tonight, Jesus. Be glorified. Be glorified, Lord. We love you in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Guys, we love you. You're going to recognize. See, some of you were like, "Wait, we got to see them before they even led."
That's right. You You already know them. They're They're your own friends now, right? [laughter] >> Anyways, we love you guys. We'll connect with you after we worship tonight. >> Yeah. It's going to be amazing. Bless you guys. >> Bye. >> Bye. Hi >> Bible. >> Hello. Hello. If you guys want to start to find your seat here, we're going to get started.
Ho ho ho. >> Sure. >> Yes, you are. All right. Well, hello everybody. >> How are we? Look, this is Santa. Santa Claus. >> Well, hello. Welcome. >> This is awesome. This is so good. We'll let every We'll give everyone just a moment to kind of find your place.
Take your seat. So, let me just say as everyone's doing that, we are we're very very excited. This is not a typical night >> for Bethl, >> just so you know. Yeah, Santa doesn't typically open the service uh typically. So, so we'll get there. Wow. The level of authority that I just felt is unbelievable.
That's how you feel all the time like that. It's amazing. Um, uh, let me say once again, we're really, really excited to, uh, to kind of put this on for you. This is a kind of a unique night for us. It's not something we typically do. Um, it's unique in that it's a it's a bit of a mix, uh, between, um, uh, performance and and worshiping the Lord.
And you're going to have to move in and out of both of those tonight. And I'm not going to tell you what to do when, but, you'll figure it out. So, um, there's going to be some some beautiful songs that definitely definitely you'll feel the Lord on. And I would encourage you if if you want, however you want to respond to that, if you want to stand up, stand up.
You want to lift your hands, lift your hands. U, if you want to, if you want to sing out loud, do that. It'll be great. Um, yeah, there's a there's a few songs that I don't recommend you worshiping on at all. You'll have to don't do that. Uh but but if you want to stand up and dance and be excited and have fun, uh you can do that.
Are you going to be dancing tonight? A little bit. >> A little dancing. Yeah, >> a little dancing. You're the best. Listen, I I love Santa. You're You're You're amazing. You want to show us how you're going to be dancing tonight? >> Oh, there you go. Listen, there's a few moments there's a few moments um that you get to you get to do that.
And uh really, honestly, we do it. This is the best season of the year. I I don't know if anybody agrees, but I we think it's great. >> Yeah. >> Um and everyone uh here at church um if you're online, welcome. And if you're in if you're here, you know that the lights outside are beautiful.
And um you know, we had Christmas tree lighting and when we went into a very Christmy David Hogan, which was wonderful. Um and then we get to do this together and everyone around here works uh works so hard uh to put stuff on um during the Christmas season.
And the, you know, if you guys don't know, which probably most of you do, but if you're watching online, just in the last few days, we had the holiday uh feast here at church. We went right into rehearsals for this uh three services uh Sunday in this building, service at Twin View, into rehearsals this afternoon into Sunday night.
So, and and some of you would go, "Wow, that's amazing." No, that's a weekend at at Bethl. That feels like a normal weekend here. Um but these everyone's working so hard to do that. So, when you see them, if you see any of the any of the the band guys, if you see any of the the singers, anybody uh typically dressed in black who's in the sound booth, they're running a camera, doing any of that stuff, um could you say thank you to all that they do for the whole year?
Honestly, it's incredible. Yeah. And and I would ask that you bring them something very special. Very special. >> I thought the North Pole was busy. This is way busier. >> Way busier than the North Pole. That's uh that's awesome. And also honestly from the bottom of our heart here as a staff from all anyone who gets a chance to to lead in this environment.
Um we really do this uh for you guys. It was our heart uh few years ago to do something really special for us as a community. Um and if your family's like mine, we we love music. We we uh there's there's six of us, most of us sing well in the car uh together.
Not me. I'm not included in the sing well uh piece, but we sing in the car and we sing at the house and uh you know, if you walk by my kids in the shower, you'll hear something uh loud uh singing coming out of them and um it's just uh we we love getting together and actually just hanging out.
Music is part of our house. Um and we thought we'd like to share some of this with you. And so we asked last year, we asked all the leaders, we said, "We have an idea. Would you be willing uh to actually come and sing with us?" And uh everyone we asked to to their credit uh said yes even though it was pretty outside of their scope.
Um and again this year everyone that we asked uh said yes and they were and just honestly a pleasure to get to do to get to do this for you. So um the haze is not the Holy Spirit. It is it is for the lights in case that's how we end up on the internet then no it's not.
It's just the lights. Um, and we never really get to do this either, but uh, if Santa could help me, uh, typically we do worship and it's it's always incredible. It's amazing. But I would like before any of the singers come out, I would like us to welcome the band as they come out >> cuz these guys are incredible.
((cheering)) Hey, that's Matt. ((applause)) That's Cole. Desi's playing the piano. Lauren, Jonathan on the violin. Pam's ((cheering)) got the guitar. And Victor's over here playing the guitar. Yeah, these guys are incredible. ((applause)) >> Incredible. We at rehearsals last night and I thought if I could be a producer and take them on tour, I would steal all of their money.
It was so No, no, I didn't. They're [laughter] they're I didn't think that. They're phenomenal and the work they put in is is incredible. You guys are going to have so much fun. So much fun. Santa, you ready? >> I'm ready. >> We're ready. Uh we're really excited. Um they're pumped.
Pray for me. I'm nervous for everybody. So, but it it is going to be incredible. >> Well, depending how it goes, maybe you made it off the naughty list to the nation. >> Oh, thank you. Thank you. Uh Sand, you have you have anything to say? Last words. >> There you go.
It's my favorite when he does it. >> Merry Christmas. >> Merry Christmas, everybody. And without further ado, would you uh give everybody a hand and welcome to A Joyful Noise Tonight. ((applause)) ((cheering)) >> [applause and music] >> Thank you guys. My name is Peter Mattis. I am the local church community worship pastor here.

I seek both day and night. Now I ask the Lord [music and singing] to help me. And he showed me the lie.
I ((music playing)) He made me a watchman upon ((music playing)) the city walls. If I am a Christian, I'm ((music playing)) staring over the mountain over the ((music playing)) hills and everywhere we go. Tell him Jesus ((music playing)) passes on. Go tell it. Go tell it. ((music playing)) Oh, go tell it. Go tell it. Oh, go ((music playing)) tell it. Go tell it.
Go tell. ((music playing)) ((music playing)) Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ((music playing)) >> ((cheering)) ((applause)) ((cheering)) >> Wow. Wow. You can be seated for a second. I don't think we got enough of that. I feel like we needed more. I feel like we needed more. Would you turn to your neighbor next to you and say, "Go tell it." on the mountain.
It's time to tell it. Turn to your other neighbor. Say, "Go tell it. Go tell it. Go preach the good news. Dave Ward. Stave. Stave. So fun. Are you having a good time? >> I'm always amazed by the talent sitting in this room. It is unbelievable. Thank you so much band so far in production.
This is amazing. Well, we are going to uh take up an offering and share a quick message. But um we're going to take up an offering tonight. If you want to sew in to this house, you want to sew into what God is doing. Uh we believe that this is a season where the Lord is uh speaking over us.
Bill preached it last week about a a 12 years of answered prayer. That the Lord is going to teach us how to engage with prayer in a way that we're going to partner with heaven and see what heaven is declaring come to fruition. Amen. And um I really feel like in this in this season I was praying and asking Lord what what do you want me to share today?
And I am just believing with my whole heart for great blessing and for the Lord to pour out the riches of his goodness on each of you. And so what we're going to do is do we have buckets? I'm sure we have buckets. We used to have KFC buckets with Colonel Sanders.
Some people thought it was Bill Johnson. It was not. It was Colonel Sanders. Uh the Kingdom Finance buckets. But we want to invite you if this is your local church uh that your tithe belongs to here. If this is not your local church and you just want to sew into what God's doing.
Do we have any visitors in the room? Can I see if we have any visitors? My daughter's a visitor apparently. Oh, there we go. Welcome visitors. We're glad to have you. I see some visitors over there. It's a little foggy in here, but we're so glad to have you.
If you're a visitor, your tithe belongs in your home church, but we're so glad to have you. And if you want to sew in, we want to do that. Let's just pray real quick over the offering. Yeah. Jesus, we thank you Lord that today so many musicians are coming offering their talents and their gifts.
Lord, we thank you that we get to enjoy that. And today, Lord, as we sew into your kingdom, as we sew finances into your kingdom, God, we pray that uh these finances, Lord, would be like soldiers sent into battle. That they would go to advance your kingdom. That it would touch the needy.
It would touch the lost. It would touch the broken, God. That your kingdom would be advanced in the nations because of what we sow. God, we bless what we give today in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. We're going to pass the buckets around. I wanted to read. We had such a fun holiday feast yesterday.
Were any of you part of that? >> Yes. All over the room. I see Tom Crannle up front who he was the main instigator of what happened at the holiday feast. Thanks, Tom, for all you do. So appreciate you. ((applause)) And we just heard I I think I've heard at least four testimonies just from the holiday feast which happened yesterday of people coming to Christ, of people renewing their commitment to the Lord, of people finding hope.
And I wanted to read this morning. Uh Lauren read from Isaiah 9, but I don't feel to change the subject. Isaiah 9, it says this. It says verse four. It says, "For the yoke of his burden, the staff for his shoulders, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian.
For every boot of the trampling warrior in battle to malt, and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. For unto us a child is born, and unto us a son is given, and the government, the authority, the rule, the establishment of God's kingdom will be upon his shoulder.
And he shall be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting father, prince of >> peace, and of the increase of his government and of his peace there will be no end. and on the throne of David and over his kingdom to establish it and uphold it with justice and righteousness.
And uh just recently one of my staff in third year, her name is Rachel Roberts. She was sharing with us, she was reading this passage, her and her husband, they were praying through it uh just the other night and uh she just made her pregnancy announcement. She is pregnant.
So, I can now say it's on social media. And they have an 18-month-old and she's pregnant. And it just dawned on her that the solution that God gave to the boot of the warrior to the rod of the oppressor being broken was a baby [laughter] that you know when we think of the the boot of that that that comes to crush us when we think of the rod that comes to oppress us I don't think my solution is a baby I don't think I think oh let's bring a baby to that problem but God thinks differently to us God thinks thinks differently to how we think.
And Rachel who's carrying a baby was all of a sudden thinking this this infant that is going to be born that I'm going to have to nurse and wake up in the middle of the night for and change diapers for this this infant that has no strength that the Lord sees strength differently.
And then she began to wonder, what in my life is God answering with an infant that I'm not recognizing? What in my life am I looking for a solution to the rod of the oppressor or to the boot of that the the warrior that comes to crush me?
Am I looking for something else and I'm not looking for God's solution that's maybe an infant form? Are you with me? >> And she began to ask the Holy Spirit, "Holy Spirit, where are you responding to the circumstances in my life that I can't recognize because it's seemingly smaller than I can see with my own eyes?"
And and I felt today as I was praying for tonight, I felt like the Lord wanted you to ask that question. Lord, where are you answering me that maybe I'm not recognizing because the answer looks different than what I would expect. I would have expected a warrior to come against a warrior.
It's interesting. There's a a a time when Saul is full of rage and anger and he pursues David. He goes after David and he sends a warrior, one of his captains of the army, to go and get David. And David hides himself in the company of the prophets.
And when this warrior comes to take David to take his life, instead of the warrior overcoming, it is the presence of God among the prophets that overcomes the warrior. And the warrior begins to prophesy and he returns void of filling his purpose. And Saul must have sent an angrier, more crazier, more uh authoritative man next.
And the same thing happens >> all the way till Saul goes himself a man full of rage, full of jealousy, full of anger. And when he encounters the atmosphere of the Lord, >> Saul himself who is overcome with demonic spirits begins to prophesy because the power of God is more powerful than anything that comes against the the the gates of heaven.
((applause)) And I want to encourage you today that whatever you're facing, whatever you're looking at, for unto you a child was born. And he has broken the rod of the oppressor. And he has trampled the boot of the warrior. And he has taken the robe that has been dipped in blood.
And he has used it as fuel for a fire. Not for a fire that comes against you, but for a fire that is for for you. The thing that has opposed you is going to become fuel to propel you in this season. >> And I feel like the Lord is speaking over us this season.
I feel like he's inviting us to attach our faith to the fact that joy is our portion. Peace is our portion. I've heard Bill say that peace is joy quietly and joy is peace out loud. And I I feel that over us today that no matter what is happening, for unto us a child is born.
Where has God shown his seed, his goodness in your life that maybe we can't see? And I feel like this Christmas as we begin to partner with this word, as we begin to partner, God, where have you shown up, Lord? I believe that the Lord wants to fill our homes with joy. >> He wants to fill your life with peace.
That's not something circumstantial. It's based on relationship and trust in him. Amen. >> Amen. >> Amen. >> The last thing I just want to encourage us in um my little girl is waving at me from the front. She's ready to preach. She's always ready to preach. But I just feel so deeply in this season as we're I mean we're in a whole new era with technology and um and I'm so thankful for the ways to connect over the various platforms we have with my family that's far away.
But I I feel like the Lord is inviting us to to remember to set a table for people and that I I I just sense the Lord wants to reveal his abundance to us in a in a fresh way. And I I feel like the Lord is really highlighting in this season to to set tables, to host people, to gather together, to not uh dismiss the gathering of community, to give praise and thanksgiving around the table.
I sense this richness uh as we set tables for the holiday feast yesterday and hosted people that the Lord is inviting us to maybe not wait to be invited to a table, but to set a table and invite other people to come. To maybe invite our lost neighbor who has nowhere to go, to come and sit at a table to share that for unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given.
To maybe invite that family member that we haven't seen to a table. Maybe maybe invite that single parent that has nowhere to go to come and decorate cookies with us. Why? Because for unto us a child is born and a son is given. And so I just want to take a moment to pray for us.
Are you guys doing okay? >> I feel like the Lord wants to remind us of his great abundance. >> You know, sometimes we think we we don't have a lot and so we don't invite people in. But I I think more than the stuff that we put on our table, people are looking for a place to feel the warmth of love again.
And so if you just want to put your hands out in front of you. Lord Jesus, we just thank you. We thank you, Lord, that the rod of the oppressor has been broken by a child. that the coming of a a baby in a feeding trough, Lord. That he came as the lamb prepared, that he came as the bread so that we would never be hungry again.
That he came as the living water so that we might never be thirsty again. And Lord Jesus, we we honor you. We honor that you came as an infant. That you came helpless. You came as a as a helpless infant, but you came with the fire of the love of the father to reconcile man to God to reconcile those who were in deep darkness.
That there is a light. And Lord, I thank you that you didn't just leave that light in Bethlehem, but Jesus, you were crucified for our transgressions. and your punishment bought our peace. And from your resurrected and ascended place, God, you filled us with your spirit and you made us the light.
Woo. Lord, I pray God that this Christmas that we wouldn't just look to a manger, but we would remember that that God who came, he did not leave us as orphans, but he came and he filled us with his wonderful Holy Spirit. And Lord, I pray that your light would shine.
Lord, for those who are sensing a weight of the enemy, God, we pray that it would be broken tonight as we rejoice, as we celebrate, as we sing, as we commune, that we would remember, we would remember that a child was given and that we have received him as our savior and his light shines within us.
Lord, we thank you, God. We pray for the boldness, Lord Jesus, the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ that it would shine in our hearts. That today, Lord, hope would rise in this house and we would remember, Lord, every smile is your smile. Every look in a stranger's eye as we say hello, as we love people, Lord, it is not our love, but it is your love shining through us.
And Lord, we pray for your light to shine bright in our homes, in our families, in our lives. We just place your hands on one another. Lord Jesus, we bless our neighbors. We bless this family. Lord, we thank you, God, that we are united under one head, one king, one spirit.
And just begin to pray for blessing over them this Christmas. A blessing over their families, over their lives. At the risk of sounding cheesy, would you pray? Go tell it on the mountain over them real quick that they would be bold to shout from the mountain, from the rooftops, Jesus Christ is born.
The joy of the gospel, the joy of Christ, the joy of him coming. Lord, we pray that Reading would be saved because the joy of the gospel grips us so powerfully. Lord, we pray Lord that Reading would see the light because of the joy of your gospel in Jesus name.
Amen. Amen. ((applause)) Well, that was intermission. I remember Banning Leech. He told me that when he would travel with Jesus culture after these moments, he would get up and speak. He would get Facebook messages from people telling him that no one was there to hear him preach. They just wanted to hear the people sing.
Turns out banning started Jesus culture. So I had a little moment like no one's here to hear me hear me preach. But thanks for uh thanks for saying yes. Guys, we love you. We're so thankful to be a part of this community. We're so thankful for your yes, for the way that you have sacrificed to be here in Reading to say yes to what God is doing.
And we're believing for a 2026 where God shows us what it's like to pray the kinds of prayers that bring answers. And we're believing that things that are have been delayed and places where you have not yet seen the fulfillment of God's promise of your life. We are believing for absolute crazy wild testimonies of God's goodness manifest in your life.
We love you guys. So, we have we have a wonderful guest coming out to sing for us. You can come so long, sir. Um, and as he does, uh, why don't you just turn to your neighbor beside you and just say, I hope you have a merry Christmas.
You guys having fun tonight? ((cheering)) God is good and all the time. Come on. ((cheering)) My name is John Fuk and I'm part of the worship community and just happy to be here tonight. >> ((music playing)) >> Have yourself ((music playing)) a merry little Christmas. And so I'll do the things I've got to do to ((music playing)) get back to you.
I need you to ((music playing)) believe I'll make it back by Christmas Eve. Another ((music playing)) [singing] Christmas day will come and ((music playing)) go away. And I won't leave you alone. I'm going to go home. I'm going to ((music playing)) be home. Though I'm ((music playing)) surrounded by these cold December nights, I feel so alone. I'm going to go home.

Let's just lift ((music playing)) up a good shout of praise to the Lord. >> ((music playing)) >> Wow. Wow. ((applause)) Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. How about giving thanks to our teams that have helped us tonight.
So fun. This is so good. Thank you. So fun. Well, I'm glad I came. I don't know about you, but I'm just glad I came. I'm I'm glad we got to do this. It was just so fun, man. We We got Santa opening. We had Rudolph in the middle.
Okay, he tore it up and and and we ending in the glory. So that's just like a perfect day. So that's good. Merry ((music playing)) Christmas. Listen, the most important thing of all is our personal relationship with Jesus. It starts and it continues and he changes us. He transforms us.
And the father is trying to bring forth something beautiful and special to this world. something that would so draw people to a perfect father. Jesus came with a primary assignment. We know that he came to die. We know that he came to destroy the works of the evil one.
There's a list of things that he came to do. But all of them are wrapped up in one primary assignment. He came to reveal the father. He came to a planet of orphans to reveal the father. and you and I get to do the same. Jesus said, "As the Father has sent me, I send you."
So this Christmas season, let's do everything we know how to do, everything that's within our ability, our capacity to just reveal what a wonderful father we have. And if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, my goodness, I wouldn't want to leave the building till I did.
Turn to somebody close to you if somebody brought you or come up to one of the team up front. We just want to pray with you and we want this to be the best Christmas of your life. Let's just pray. Blessing, blessing, blessing on the house of the Lord this entire Christmas season that there would be unusual breakthroughs, surprises, surprise answers to prayer.
Some of you haven't even prayed for certain things for a long time. And I pray that God surprises you with the answer. And that this would be a great great season for all of us. Bless you. We love you so much. Thanks for showing up, team. Once again, thank you.
You did good. ((applause)) Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. You can actually go home. >> Or you can >> Hi, Bethl online family. Oh my word. >> That was amazing. That was >> incredible. [laughter] >> Blown away. Speechless. Unbelievable. Yeah, >> I love what Pastor Bill was just saying as he was closing um inviting people in to have a relationship with Jesus.
If that's you and you're watching on the YouTube feed or if you're watching on Bethl online and you're thinking, "How how do I do this? What does it look like for me to say yes to him, the King of Kings, to surrender your life? There's an opportunity for you to ask him to be your Lord and your Savior, to believe that he died for you, that he paid for your sins, that he gave his life so that you could live forever. >> If that's something that you would like to pray into, if that's something that you would like to say yes to, you can.
You can say yes. Jesus, I invite you into be the Lord of my life. >> We have teams online who would love to pray with you, too. He would just hate to not give you an opportunity to actually say yes to him. >> That's right. >> Yeah. Would you want to pray anything about that, Jory? >> Yeah.
God, I just pray a fresh feeling of hope. >> Yes. >> Yeah. I I just I just had a sense that there are people even watching right now or even going to watch back later. Um that God is going to like even as you're listening to the songs, as you're worshiping to the songs, that God is going to fill you with great hope.
And so I thank you God for fresh new beginnings for those that maybe for the first time have just received Jesus or maybe have walked away for a while and they're coming back to the Lord or they need a fresh touch of hope. I thank you Jesus that you are Emmanuel God with us and you're here right now even as we're speaking even as we're um listening in and and hearing your voice.
God you're with us in in whatever we're being faced with. So God, I thank you for your great peace and your hope to fill every single person watching in Jesus' name. >> Amen. >> Thanks, God. Yeah, >> guys, I'm seeing a couple of you say, "I'm so grateful we can replay this."
I am, too. >> It's so cool watching I mean, you guys see them as like our worship community, people who lead in our environment. These are like dear friends of ours. I'm like >> I I ran up to um my friend Eliza and I was like, "Allah, I just cried the whole time. as she led Noel, I just felt the deep, beautiful presence of God.
And um even for some of you as you watch this back, expect and anticipate the Lord to encounter you. For him to pour out his love, for him to pour out his his mercy, to be Emmanuel, God with us in the midst of whatever your circumstances. Um >> in the middle of Mike when when Mike was playing the trumpet. >> Oh, I love my word.
There were no words, right? And um as soon as he started playing, >> I started to hear the father speak to me about how much he loves me. >> And I hear the voice of the Lord. You know, it's one of those things where um I've learned how to hear his voice and I'm still learning today.
And um it was so unbelievably clear. It was like as soon as he started playing, I >> I don't I can't explain it, Jory, but it was like immediately I could hear the father's delight over my life. And I just sat there with these beautiful little tears rolling down my cheeks in the simplicity of someone just bringing their gift before the body of Christ, >> playing a song, and it opened up such a beautiful space of encounter.
Maybe you already encountered the Lord. Maybe you're encountering him still. Maybe you're gonna watch back with one of your favorite spots where you're like, "Oh, I know he's in the midst of this." I encourage you just get comfortable, maybe lay with the Lord and just let him wash over you because he is here and he is near.
Jory, what did you um what was like one of your favorite moments tonight? What was a a spot maybe you felt the Lord's touch? Maybe you felt his nearness. >> Oh man, I loved everything about it. Um I'm a singer and I'm a worship leader. So for me I was like this is such a treat and getting to hear from different people from all parts of our church.
But honestly I loved when um Brad just he did it la I think he did it last year as well. He did uh tell go tell it on the mountain. There was so much joy in the room. Like he probably >> he's a rock star [laughter] guys. He literally former life be a rock star.
But I just think that like being that like ch that childlike that joy that we experienced when Brad was was just singing out and the band was playing and seeing the instrumentalists, it was just so amazing. And I feel like as I was watching, I was like, God, that's how you want us to be just full of joy like in his presence is the fullness of joy.
And that I just experienced that watching that and even singing along with it. And so I even just pray as you even like listen back and watch back that you be filled with so much joy, that childlike joy and wonder of this season of just fixing our eyes on Jesus.
And it actually, you know, the joy of the Lord is our strength. So I thank you, God, that um even when people are going to watch this back and and hear and listen that they're going to be filled with great joy and they're going to be strengthened physically, spiritually, and mentally.
So I just thank you, God. Yeah, it was so fun. The whole thing was amazing. I'm like, "Let's do it again." >> From start to finish, there's not even one where I'm like, "Oh, we could have cut that. No way." >> So great. >> It was way too fun.
The presence of God was here. I just >> Isn't it so cool when you run by or you walk by somebody in the hallway and then you're like, you can sing like like really sing and then see the generations. >> How cool is it to see a whole family of musicians or singers?
I'm like, that did not happen in my family, but I love seeing that it happened in Bill's. [laughter] >> Yes, >> they can all sing. >> Jory, is there anything else that you're sensing that the Lord wants to do? I'm loving even seeing in the chat. This will give you a moment to think if there's anything else.
Um, people keep saying like this is going along with what Bill preached last week about the 12 months of of um answered prayers of of of radical breakthrough. Yeah. Um, so that's absolutely available for us. Anything else that you're sensing just as we prepare for Christmas? >> I know that I've brought this up a couple times on this online connect, but I can't help I it keeps coming back to me that whole story when Bill was uh found the dime in his hand.
And I don't know if you heard this, but the phrase that he that heard it was miraculously miraculous. And the phrase that he heard was it's going to turn on a dime. Things are going to turn on a dime. And again, as I was driving up the hill, I heard Emmanuel, God with us, and things are going to turn on a dime.
And I just I wanted just to say um wanted to release a testimony that I shared that with my students um in school. And then students started finding dimes everywhere and then they started having radical crazy financial breakthroughs. And so I just felt led to pray that even in this season um of Christmas season that if you need a financial breakthrough, things I really do believe things are going to turn on a dime and you're going to see radical breakthrough in your finances this year.
I actually see like businesses and God actually giving key strategies for your businesses this season. And I feel like it's even going to propel you into what God wants for you to step into to 2026. So, if you're even a business um owner and um and and you're you're kind of contemplating what to do next, I feel like the Lord there's going to be just this shift and things are going to be to turn and you're going to notice that there's going to be radical breakthrough in finances.
So, I just bless you in Jesus name. So, thank you God and we just say do it again. Some of our hosts are saying since you released that before it's happened again. And so God, we just say do it again that we're even releasing that testimony aresh. Um before we close out this online connect, I'm being reminded um I did an online connect last week during the 10:30 service with Haley Braun and um we got a testimony back.
Um I shared a word of knowledge about people who had had um neck issues whether it was from an accident 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 years ago. And this woman wrote in with a testimony saying that she had been in a car accident 50 years ago. I told Dave Harvey today in a huddle and he he said 15.
I go, "No, Dave, 55." She was in a car accident 50 years ago and she's been having pain. She's been going to the chiropractor. She's had excruciating pain. And she said when she heard that word of knowledge, she said, "God, I want to see a miracle." Um, she used to watch like the 700 Club.
And she said she would hear words of knowledge released all the time. and she said, "I want to see a miracle like that in my own life." And she said, "Now I can testify and say that I have seen a miracle like that because it happened in her."
So, if you are contending for a long um a long-term condition, >> say you've been struggling with an illness, say you've been struggling um with some kind of ailment. I heard of a a woman um her wrists had been crushed and uh I think it was like 15 years at the holiday feast. um she had an issue where she couldn't really move her wrist and her pain went away and she had mobility restored and so we're hearing these um testimonies of people whether it's 15 years or 50 years of conditions that they've been struggling with and so and being healed and so if that's you and you're like I've been struggling with a long-term condition before we go we just want to pray for you that God um that you would you would bring mobility God in places where people have lost mobility God any any places where there's neuropathy any places where um um you have lack of motion in your wrist, whether it's in your back, whether it's in your neck, um in your knees, um in your ankles, that you would begin to experience a fullness of of mobility and a fullness of motion restored in the name of Jesus.
And I just see the Lord cancelling longterm illnesses. So, if you struggled 15 years, 10 years, 20 years, um just begin to test out your body and see if anything has changed since we've begun to release that or be uh since we've begun to pray. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> Anything else?
Are you feeling anything else, Jer? No, I just saw that um someone's needing healing in their neck. >> Okay. >> Or God, someone even said God is healing necks. So, Jesus, we thank you right now for all necks to be healed and arthritis to be healed right now in Jesus' name. that even as we release that testimony that things are going to change on a dime or turn on a dime, God, we just pray that in health and healing right now in Jesus name.
Jesus paid for it. It's done. It's finished. So we thank you God for complete healing and restoration in bodies and minds in Jesus name. Thank you God. >> That's right. I love it. I we learned this from Dr. Randy Clark. He's like just test it out. You can tell how much faith is in a room at a healing meeting when people start testing it.
I know we can't see you, but we're just going to believe. >> We're believing. We can see in the spirit. We can see you in your living room. And you are testing it out. And we just bless whatever the Lord is doing and that it would increase all the way so that it would be 100% healed. >> Let's go >> in Jesus name. >> Guys, we love you.
We're so grateful to do this. I just love that I get to do this with Jory. What a dear friend. Tonight was so fun. Guys, watch it back. Enjoy. Play it for your family, uh, family, friends, whatever it looks like. Just >> enjoy the Christmas concert whenever you need to bring a little joy in your life >> and have a merry Christmas.
I know we have a one more week or so before Christmas, but um that Emmanuel, God with with us. He's with us in every season and that you may find time to just sit in his presence and experience his lavish love for you. That he is with you.
King, friend, savior with you in Jesus name. >> Amen. I already see back not hurting anymore. So if you're watching this back later and you're thinking, I started with back pain. Well, God's healing back. So anyways, you guys receive it. We love you. Bless you from from this beautiful house to yours and your families.
We just love you so much. >> Merry Christmas. >> Merry Christmas.
