((music playing)) The life of faith is a life of joy. When you live by faith and you know the word of God is true, you will live a life of joy. A life of joy. Trusting Jesus. Trust and obey. There is no other way to be happy in Jesus. Just trust him.

Oh, how wonderful it is to be a Christian. How wonderful, how joyful, how blessed we are to know the Lord, to love him, to walk with him, to know his reality in our life, to know the deep, deep love of Jesus. Oh, how wonderful. And Lord, we thank you today.

We thank you for your word. We thank you for your presence. We thank you for your love. We thank you for the nearness of your presence. How dear you are to us. How special you are in all our lives. Only you, Jesus. We love only you. We honor only you.

We worship only you. We glorify only you. You truly are our life and our all. And God's people said, "Amen." I want to talk to you. You know, I was reading the book of Galatians the night before last, and I thought, I really need to share this with God's precious people.

Because Paul was writing to the church in Galatia who was being influenced by people who wanted them to go into bondage. Maybe there's someone today watching and listening who does not know this life of liberty and joy in Jesus. Maybe you are in bondage. Maybe people are trying to put you in bondage.

Maybe you feel controlled somehow. Maybe you're not able to express yourself or who you are in the Lord. You've lost your ability to really speak your mind or speak your heart because you're in bondage. And this book is for you. So it says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty where with Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

And I'm talking to you. I'm talking to someone who needs to hear this. Be not entangled again, please, with the yoke of bondage. After I got saved in Canada, I had wonderful friends in the catacombs, a church called the catacombs. Every Thursday night, 3,000 young people would meet downtown Toronto.

And later, a man came and began to teach on replacement theology and submission and things like that. And many of my dear friends got into bondage again. Some of them walked away from the Lord. I saw what happened to some of my dearest friends in those days. And I, you know, sometimes I think about those precious days in the Lord.

And I think about those wonderful people I knew, the very people who were in my high school. Some of them were influenced by that teaching. replacement theology that Israel is no longer important to God and then you know people get into bondage. It was a terrible thing to watch and it's happened here and there for the last 50s something years I've been walking with the Lord.

I've been in ministry over 50 years. I got saved in 1972, February 14, 1972. But what is so remarkable to me is that people still seem to uh allow others to put them in bondage. Paul begins his beautiful letter of Galatians knowing he's talking to people who are in bondage and he begins by saying grace and peace from God the Father.

Wow, what a beautiful way to start. Even people in bondage need to remember God is the God of grace and peace, not bondage and confusion. and from our Lord Jesus Christ who gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us from the present evil world according to the will of God and our father.

So he starts right away with giving them a beautiful message about the love of God who came to deliver us from this present world because they needed deliverance from bondage. these people. And then he said, I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ.

He starts by saying, you know, grace and peace from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus and the Lord who gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us from this present evil world. And then he says, "I marvel in verse six that you so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ into another gospel which is not another, but there'll be some that trouble you."

And I'm talking to someone here who has been troubled by some people and you need to be free from that. But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, he said, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. That's a strong statement.

And he repeats it in verse 9. Now he begins to talk about his history and how he came to know the Lord and what happened to him after he met the Lord. And then he talks about how he went to Jerusalem and met with Peter and met with James and met with John in chapter two.

Now something quite amazing. He comes to a point here where he talks about how he had to face Peter in Antioch because at that time Jewish believers, some of them did not want to identify with Gentile believers. And so it mentions that in chapter 2 and how he had to tell Peter certain things about it.

And then he made this statement in verse 16, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law. He was actually correcting Peter that now that we are in Jesus, we should have fellowship one with another, Jew and Gentile. We're one body now. We should not be separate knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law because those people were trying to bring the church under the law, under bondage. back to the Old Testament.

You've got to be circumcised again. You got to obey the law of Moses again. All that. And then he says, "Even we have believed in Jesus Christ." Well, let me just reread this. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ.

By the faith of Jesus Christ. Even we have believed in Jesus Christ. that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law. For by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. So we live a life of faith, a life that gives us the joy to say, the joy to say I am crucified with Christ.

That's what he wrote in this amazing chapter. Because of the life of faith, we can die to the flesh and to the things of the flesh and the bondage of the flesh and the bondage people want us to get into and want and and some of them want us to to go into and pull us into or want to pull us into.

No, no, never. We stand fast in the liberty God has given us. I've seen people destroyed by teachings on bondage and legalism. It's called witchcraft. Quite simple really. He said now it's not I that lives but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

And I do not frustrate the grace of God by letting people put me back in bondage. I don't frustrate God's grace. Hallelujah. Well, let me just read the whole thing because this is so so powerful. Then he says this, "For if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

Can you imagine that? that people sometimes who going back into bondage are denying that Jesus has set us free on the cross. Never. Never. We know that Jesus was crucified to set us free from bondage to sin to the world to the flesh. I'm talking to someone right now that needs to hear this.

He says, "Oh foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you. He died to set you free. He was crucified to bring you liberty. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Don't you dare allow anyone to put you back in bondage. Any form of bondage. You're a child of God. You're a Christian. Jesus died to set you free from bondage. And then he talks about Abraham. He says that even Abraham believed God. And and when he believed God, God declared him righteous.

Know ye not? He says, "Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Don't you know that when you live in faith, you're a child of Abraham?" and the scripture for seeing that God would justify the heathen through faith preached before the gospel to Abraham, saying, "In thee shall all the nations be blessed."

So then they which be of faith, those living by faith, are blessed like Abraham, blessed with faithful Abraham. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. It is written, "Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree." Jesus took that curse when he hung on the on the cross.

He destroyed that bondage that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. There are people today who are so bound they can't even pray right. They can't even believe God for answered prayer because someone convince them of something different.

They're not even reading the Bible for themselves. They have to have someone explain what it means and what it says. Why don't they just read the Bible for themselves and ask the Holy Spirit to open their hearts? Let the let the Lord reveal his word. And how the covenant God gave to Abraham, which was given before the law ever came, cannot be cancelled.

Even if it is a covenant made with men, between individuals, it cannot be cancelled. How much more a covenant that God made with Abraham could not be cancelled by the law that came hundreds of years later. That's what he said because God gave it to Abraham by promise.

And the reason the law came it was because of transgression to show people that this is sin. Who would know if it's not if it's sin till the law says hey lying is sin this is sin this is sin this is sin then they know it's wrong to do it so why then the law came it was our school master to bring us to Christ that we might be justified by faith now there is A there's a very remarkable uh portion in Acts uh sorry in Galatians I should say.

There's a an amazing portion in Galatians 4 beginning at verse one. He says, "Now I say that the heir," now think, think about this, that the heir, someone who is an inheritor, as long as he's a child, he's no different than a slave, than a servant, though he be lord of all.

Someone who is an heir. Someone who has inherited much as long as he's a child and doesn't know the inheritance he's been given is no different than a servant. Though he be lord of all properties and inheritance that he's been given. This is very important. There are people today that God has offered them the inheritance, the promises, the blessings belong to them.

Yet their children in the spirit and that's why they're still in bondage. Verse one. Now I say that the heir, as long as he's a child, differs nothing from a servant. It's time to grow up. It's time to know who you are in the Lord. It's time to live who you are in the Lord as a free man, a free woman in Jesus.

Be free in Jesus mighty name. I'm telling you, I feel that so strong right now talking to you. There are people today in bondage to people. There are people today in bondage to situations. There are people today in bondage to pastors and religious people. There's nothing worse than a religious spirit.

There's nothing more disgusting than a religious spirit. Jesus dealt with it. Those Pharisees had a religious spirit. How interesting. Jesus didn't have troubles. Demons obeyed him. But those Pharisees, you remember what the Bible says, right? The religious spirit is an ugly, hateful, legalistic, controlling spirit. If you're under that, you need to be prayed for.

You need to be delivered from that. I've seen it in my lifetime. I've seen people with a religious spirit. They want to control people. Want to tell them what to do, how to live, what to believe, what churches to go to, what churches not to go to. Never.

Never. We're free in the Lord. When I went to see Katherryn Kman, I attended a church in Canada. I told about it. The wife of the pastor rebuked me for going to see Miss Kumman and said, "You don't have to go to Catholic. We have it all here."

I said, "No, you don't have it all here. Don't tell me where to go to church. Don't tell me who to listen to." I was not happy with that pastor's wife telling me I had to go to their church and their church only. No, never. the body of Christ.

We need the whole church, the whole body of Christ. We need the apostles and we need the prophets. We need the evangelists, the pastors, the teachers to be edified, to grow in the Lord, to mature in the Lord. I had that when I was young. I still need it.

We all need it. bondage never so it says very clearly. Wow. Let me let me just read this because I'm almost out of time and I got to say something here. He says to the Galatians, he said, he said, why why are you into uh these beggarly elements where you desire again to be in bondage?

You observe days and months and times and years and you're in bondage to certain festivals and you got to do this because it's a special day for what? No, no, no, no. We are free from that. Jesus gives us freedom. Then he he he gives this allegory about Hagar, Mount Si in Arabia, answers to Jerusalem which is today present day Jerusalem.

But there is another Jerusalem which is from above that's free. This is Galatians 4:25-26 which is the mother of us all. and how he's trying to explain to them what happened there between Sarah and Hagar and Isaac and Ishmael and how they are an allegory of all the new testament.

How one speaks of bondage and another speaks of liberty. How one speaks of the flesh, the other speaks of the spirit. Brethren, he says we are not children of the bond woman but of the free. Hallelujah. Stand fast. Chapter five. And this is my message for you. Stand fast therefore in the liberty where with Christ hath made us free.

And don't you again be entangled with the yoke of bondage. Lord, I pray that you're speaking these words to someone today. not to be entangled again with the yoke of bondage in Jesus mighty name in Jesus mighty name. Now ladies and gentlemen sweet people of God want to repeat what Paul says.

You have been called unto liberty. Verse 13. For brethren you've been called unto liberty. only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh. Don't use your liberty that you can let the flesh do what it wants, but by love serve one another. And now because of your liberty, you can walk in the spirit.

Because of your liberty, you can be led by the spirit. people. There's no way anyone can walk in the spirit if he's in bondage to people or or whoever whatever. You cannot live the life of the spirit if you're in bondage to individuals or to other things in this life.

It's impossible. And I love the way he just brings it all together. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy. Wow. peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Against such there's no law. I want to pray for you that God, if you're one of those people that is in bondage, I want to pray right now that God would bring you into liberty.

The minute you come into liberty, you'll know the fruit of the spirit. It's not possible to know the fruit of the spirit when you're not in liberty. Because he he's he's saying to them, that's all he talks about. Reread read Galatians at one sitting. Read the whole book, six chapters all at once.

Let let the Lord speak to you through that. The fruit of of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith, meekness, temper. Now, I love what he says in chapter six. If anyone is overtaken in a fault, restore them. You know, those with a religious spirit never restore anybody.

They they want to destroy them. In today's world, there's no such thing. Well, I shouldn't say that. In some circles, in some circles today, in the church, they don't talk about restoration. They talk about destruction. They want to destroy people, not restore people. The Bible says, "Brethren, if any man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, and consider yourself, consider what could happen to you, lest you also be tempted.

Bear ye one another's burden, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Don't attack each other. Don't accuse each other. Love each other. Isn't that what what the Lord said? Love your neighbor as yourself. Is that what Christianity is about? Love the Lord and love your neighbor. Is that what Jesus said?

Love your enemies. Do good to them who accuse you falsely. Do good to them that are not good to you. Love your enemy. Be not deceived. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sws that shall he reap. And he that sws to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption.

He that sws to the spiritual of the spirit reap life everlasting. Don't be weary and well. Let's not be weary in welloing. In due season we will reap but let's not faint. Then he says as we have therefore opportunity let's do good unto all men especially to them who are of the household of faith.

You know the Bible says that as much as l within you as much as lath within you have peace one with another. Only liberty in Jesus will give you that kind of love and life of grace and peace in Jesus. Let me pray with you. Lord, there's someone right now, Lord, who is struggling, who's in bondage to someone or a group of people or a situation they're in. set them free.

If if if there's someone in bondage to sin, the world, the things of the world, please, Lord Jesus, set them free. For you said, whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered. Whoever. And as they call on you now, Lord, set them free. I pray with them.

I pray for them. Bring liberty, Lord. Bring liberty to everyone who's calling on you now. Bring them out of that bondage, out of that life of darkness and chaos, out of that life of worry and fear, into your light and beauty, into your joy and love and glory.

In your precious name, Lord, for your glory, I pray this In your name, Jesus, I pray. Let your peace rule in that life. Let your grace and peace rule in that life from now on in Jesus name. Amen. And amen. I sense that so strong. I wanted to just talk to you about this.

Thank you for letting me Thank you. Pray the Lord will use this to encourage you and strengthen you. And let's be kind one to another. Let's be loving one to another. Let's be a a true Jesus people, a true Jesus person. Love the Lord and love his people.

Amen. Let's forgive. Forgiveness. Oh, how beautiful it is when you forgive. You know, the Lord forgave his enemies on the cross. Well, he asked us to forgive, too. Let's do it, all of us. Well, God love you. Thank you for being with me. And I'm going to ask you to give the Lord to work today.
