Today we continue our teaching on the gifts of the spirit and pray that God give us as much as we can put into it today. Remember sir, remember dear lady, the gifts of the spirit establish you. Romans 1:11, the gifts of the spirit are your credentials as a believer.

Mark 16:17. And these signs shall follow them that believe, not the other way around. Say, "Signs follow me." Say it. >> I do not follow signs. >> The Bible says, "These signs shall follow them that believe." If you're a believer, they're going to be signs in your life.

So, when is it that the signs begin? They begin the second you're born again. and become a believer. Now, the problem is a lot of these gifts are not manifested out of you because you won't let them be manifested out of you. Say after me, we have the gifts. >> We have >> every gift. >> Every gift >> is inside of me. >> is inside of me. >> It's exactly right.

And why I'm teaching on this is to help you get them out of you. >> Follow after charity and desire spiritual gifts. We follow the fruit and we desire the gift. I cannot have the fruit of the spirit in my life until I see somebody with that same fruit.

I imitate the fruit, but I desire the gift from heaven. The fruit of the spirit cannot be mine without an example I can look at. Yet the GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT can be mine simply through asking for them from heaven. Amazingly you there's not one place in the Bible that said pray for the fruits of the spirit to be yours.

The fruits we follow we get influenced by men and women of God. We get influenced by other believers. We follow the fruit so it can be mine. And fruit takes time. It means growth. You cannot have the fruits of the spirit overnight. There got to be a a growing process in your life just like any tree.

While the gifts are ours automatically instantly. And now we discuss prophecy. But before we do, let's just keep reading verse two. For he that speaketh well, let me just finish verse one. Follow after charity, one of the fruits, the fruits of the of the spirit, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

The word rather here is the Greek in order to. So take your pen and put it beside it. In order to, it doesn't say you rather in the original. It says in order to that ye may prophesy. So when we desire the gifts of the spirit, we desire them in order to prophesy, amazingly the gift of prophecy is one of the first gifts manifested out of you and me when we are baptized in the spirit.

The Bible says in the old covenant, the Holy Ghost came UPON THEM AND THEY PROPHESIED. Often in the New Testament, they spoke in tongues and prophesied. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto man, but unto God, for no man understandeth him, how be it in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Now, let me have your eyes and ears. I'm going to clarify something that's been confusing for ages. There are three kinds of tongues in the Bible. How many? >> Let me give them to you. The first kind of tongue is mentioned right in this verse. It is the tongue that speaks mysteries unto the Lord.

It says no man understands this tongue. The second tongue is in Acts two when they spoke in tongues and that tongue is not and was not called unknown tongues. It was known for they understood them. The Arabians and the Phoenicians and the others who were there understood those tongues and said, "These men are speaking the wonderful works of God."

Then you have a third tongue that's mentioned in this chapter verse 26. Don't look at it now that talks about the the the tongue for public ministry. So you have three kinds. The first tongue is unto God. The second tongue is unto men. Third unto the church. Now they're not exactly in that order.

The actual order was Acts two was the first time tongues were manifested and and that tongue man understood. And it's that tongue in Acts two that is the sign to the unbeliever. So how many tongues are there? >> Three kinds. The confusion comes when people tie all three together.

And now you see that chapter contradicting itself if you believe there's only one tongue. Because in one place he says it's unto God. No man understands. In another place says when you come together one hath tongue and now in another place he says tongue is assigned to the unbeliever.

What doesn't you know it doesn't fit. If it's unto God no man understands how can the unbeliever even see. So you got to split that thing and see what he's talking about. The first kind of tongue that we'll discuss right now is verse two. Let's look at it.

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue, what what is it called? Say unknown. >> In Acts two, it's a known tongue. This is an unknown tongue. Spakeeth not unto men, but unto who? For no man understandeth him. How be it in the spirit? He speaketh what? >> Spaketh what?

Now, saints of God, Jesus said in Matthew 13:1, "It is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom." When you and I speak in tongues with the ability to interpret, we'll know the mysteries of the kingdom. And I'll tell you more about this as we go on.

Now, let's look at verse three. I'll go back to tongues, but let's go to prophecy for just a quick minute. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, to exhortation, and comfort. All right, if you'll give me your eyes and ears for a quick minute, please. Prophecy, the Bible here declares, again, one of the gifts of the spirit. prophecy.

The Bible here declares when it is spoken by the spirit and and you'll see from this chapter that you cannot prophesy without having tongues first. The Bible says, "Speak in tongues in order that you may prophesy." I'm going to show it to you in just a second. I'm throwing this in to help you understand this verse.

And when prophecy is manifested out of you, as it was out of Jim today, as it was out of Jan today, it will do three things. Number one, it will edify you. The word edify mean build you up. It will exhort you. The word exhort you means it'll stir you up and it will comfort you.

The word comfort here means to lift you up. So prophecy will do three things if it's God. It'll build you. It'll stir you. It'll lift you. There will be a building, a stirring, and a lifting. If those three are not in that, it's not the Lord. Now, when prophecy comes, when does it come?

All right, for that we have to go to 1st Samuel 10. Quick, please, if you will. In 1 Samuel 10, the Bible declares that prophecy functions when there is worship. Did you see what happened this morning? Worship was here. The spirit of worship began to lift and prophecy was released.

The gift was quickened. 1st Samuel 10:5 and 6. Fred will read for us and you'll see how Saul prophesied in the midst of worship. You cannot prophesy outside a time of worship. Prophecy can't function when there's no worship. You watching us in your homes, make sure you have your Bibles with you and learn what the word of God teaches about the gifts of the spirit.

All right, Fred, would you read for us verse 5 and 6 of 1st Samuel 10? >> After that, thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines? And it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a sultry, a tabet, and a pipe. >> Now, what were these prophets doing?

They were playing instruments. There was worship. Keep reading, friend. >> And a harp before them. and they shall prophesy, and the spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man." >> Notice what happened. The gift of prophecy came upon Saul when there were other prophets worshiping God.

Worship stirred the gift. Worship released the gift. All of you have the gift of prophecy. Every one of you, you know why that gift does not operate often? You don't worship. I think what we need to do in our churches is enter into deeper worship. Sometimes we ought to kill more announcements and give life to more worship. >> And when you do, then that anointing will spark something in you.

And then there'll be a word given. In other words, you say, "Well, now what if I can't say it, sir?" Listen. In times of worship, especially as as what happened here, I think God gave us a little taste. What happens is in times of worship, nobody is in charge and there will be a time when you'll speak and nobody will stop you.

I will never stop you. You know why? Because at times of worship, a true genuine experience is there. Now, if the prophecy is not of God, it will be stopped. If it's judgmental, it will be stopped. See, through genuine prophecy, nobody will stop. But the Bible still states that all things be be done decently and in order.

So you you can't be prophesying when somebody's preaching. You can't be prophesying when somebody's praying. You can't be prophesying when somebody else is prophesying. They got to order is very important. And the Bible declares clearly that the spirit, the Holy Spirit literally is subject to the prophet. He's not going to say, "Well, say it now.

I can't wait. The Holy Ghost is gentle and he'll know that at the right time he'll move on you to give it. So, first prophecy works in worship. Secondly, look at verse 9 and 10 of that same chapter. And it was so when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart.

And all those signs came to pass that day. And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him. And the spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. All right. The second key to prophecy is surround yourself with those who are gifted like you are.

The gifts in someone else will spark the gifts in you. Prophecy in someone else will cause you to prophesy. Don't surround yourself with dead ducks because dead ducks will never cause you to move into anything except death. You see, the gifts of the spirit are not given so I can have a picnic by myself.

The gifts are given so I can bless Larry and Jim and Steve. And if I don't, there's no need for him. the I can't stand in my house and prophesy to myself. I can't lay hands on my son, be healed. I can't do that. It doesn't make sense for me to have the gift.

The the gifts are not given for me because I don't need to lay my hands on myself and prophesy to myself. That's weird. Thus says the Lord today, don't eat eggs, eat cereal. You know, it's crazy. You can't function in the gifts unless you're surrounded by the gifts.

The gifts in others spark the gifts in you. Did you hear that? >> After a while, the gifts in you will die if there's nobody around you sparking fire. How many How many of you when you see somebody's hands lifted, it does something for you, too? When somebody sings in tongues, you join in.

When you pray, when somebody prays in tonesues, you you're going to join in. They they see the Holy Spirit never comes on you with the gifts in privacy. When they were all in one accord, the Holy Ghost came. Wham. The gifts can't operate in privacy. Now, I should restate that the gifts of the spirit are not released in privacy.

They are more often released when we're together in fellowship. Oh yes, many times in your own home you get baptized in the Holy Ghost by yourself. It's happened to me. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit two weeks after I was born again in my bedroom and didn't know what was happening to me.

Uh my sister Mary was baptized in the Holy Spirit in our house taking a shower. She collapsed under the power of God in the shower, began talking in tongues. >> What a place to have the Holy Ghost hit you. And different people have it happen in different places.

But in most cases, in most cases, it happens in the house of the Lord among other saints with you. >> But then that gift of prophecy, I'm not talking about tongues. Now, that's unto God. That does happen in privacy. Are you all listening here? >> I'm mainly now talking about prophecy really more than the other gifts or healing or miracles.

Imagine laying my my hands on me every day. I mean, okay, how many are catching the point? Say amen. >> So then we need the surroundings to be sparked by faith. Then the Bible declares in Ezekiel 37:10 that prophecy releases life. It says, "Prophesy upon these bones that they may live."

If prophecy builds up, stirs up, lifts up, if prophecy is released in worship, AND RELEASED in the midst of other prophets. If prophecy gives life, well, I better follow what the Bible says, then say, "Amen." >> Amen. >> Now, let's go back to tongues because both gifts are tied in together, including interpretation of tongues.

All right, let's go on to verse four. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue. Now remember, he's still talking about the tongue in verse two. Are you all back in 1 Corinthians? >> Okay, are you getting there? >> Okay, get there quick. Move your fingers in tongues and move.

When I say move in tongues, I mean move fast. All right. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifth himself, but he that prophesieth edifith the church. All right, saints, let me have your eyes and ears quick. The gift of tongues, which is unto God, speaking mysteries unto God, that's the first kind of tongues we're going to talk about here, is the kind of tongue that edifies you.

Think about it. this tongue edifies me, but the tongue to the church in in uh verse 26 edifies the body. Now, we're talking about this private tongue now. It edifies me. It builds me. Jude said, "Praying in the Holy Ghost, building up your faith, praying in the Holy Ghost."

And sometimes when you pray in the Holy Ghost, THERE'S LIKE A RIVER that rushes out of you. Now that gift is very important. Keep listening. Verse five. I would that ye all speak with tongues. And he's talking now about that one tongue in verse two. He's still talking about the tongue of mysteries.

That's what I call it. I would that you all speak with tongues in order. The words, but rather again are not in the original. in order that he may prophesy. The King James mistransated the or from the original and said but rather that he prophesied while the original said in order that he may prophesy.

So speaking in tongues then releases the gift of prophecy inside of me. For greater is he that prophesieth than he that is than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret that the church may receive edifying. I'm going to talk a little more about this later, but let me just go on now.

Brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you except I shall speak to you either by revelation or by knowledge or by prophesying or by doctrine? And even things without life, giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? For ye shall speak into the air. There are it may be so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

Therefore, if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. The tongue unto God, the tongue that I call the tongue of mysteries, that's when you're alone in your bedroom praying unto the Lord, no one understands.

It's only that privacy. It's I I should say it's always for that privacy. It's God in you. It's that tongue he's still talking about. That tongue, saints, is mysteries. No one understands it. If I walk into a church and say and talk and begin talking in tongues, the tongue that's unto God, you'd think I'm crazy.

If I come to you and say in tongues, you think he's nuts. That's what he's talking. He says, if I come into the church and start talking with you face to face, the same kind of tongue I talk to God, you think this man has lost his mind.

He says, "I would rather speak English with you, something understood, than speak 5,000 words with tongues that only belong in privacy with God." That's what he's talking about. Then he begins to explain something here. Something very important, very very important. Saints, my tongue unto God. No man understands.

It is completely unto God. I can't use it in church. I can't use it on the street. I can't use it in school. nowhere. Then he says this, and this is where you have to divide the word to capture it all. Even so, verse 12, ye, for as much as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

All right, stop right there. Hello. Look at me, please. What edifies me? The tongue unto God. What edifies the church? The tongue for public ministry. What he's saying here is don't stay in that tongue that's unto God. Go on to a higher dimension in tongues. Go into a second area of tongues.

And now you're not only edifying yourself. Get into a place you can edify the church. WHICH IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT TONGUE. It's called tongues. Do you know you can actually tell the difference when you're in private prayer or when you stand up and give a tongue that's to be interpreted?

You can actually hear the difference in your tongue, in your words. Even so ye, for as much ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that he may excel to the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue, he still talking about the tongue of verse two, that which is unto God.

Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue, pray that he may interpret. This is a very interesting statement here. May I have your eyes and ears, please? Thank you. There's two types of interpretation of tongues, not one. The first is when you pray, God, let me understand what I'm saying to you.

That comes by prayer. The other is a gift of the spirit for public edification. Did you hear what I said? This here says, "Pray that ye may interpret what you're saying to God, not to the church." Have you ever ever ever thought about getting on your knees and say, "Lord, let me know what I'm telling you.

Let let me know what I'm saying." This goes hand in hand handinhand with Matthew 13:11, where Jesus said, "It's given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom." Verse two of this chapter says, "We speak mysteries unto God." Well, if they speak mysteries unto God and Jesus said they're given to you to know, how do I know them?

Pray and say, "Father, what am I saying?" I have had many experiences in prayer when I said, "Lord, let me know what I'm saying." And suddenly out of my lips, the English language came out with perfect beauty. Words I could never invent. Anybody's ever had that happen to you?

How many would like it to happen to you? Wave at me. Can I tell you the truth? Whenever God gave me the interpretation, it was like poetry coming out of my lips. Any has anybody's had the same thing? If you've had, wave at me if you've had that happen.

It's almost like poetry. Such beauty comes out. Words that you can think about if you want to. Words you don't even know. Most times, I pray you'll start doing that today. And there's nothing like it. YOU GET INTO THE HIGHEST PLACE OF INTIMACY when things like this happen.

Oh, it's just glorious. And your tongue in times of prayer with God when the anointing hits you becomes so crystallized. Words are so genuine. And then you say, "Lord, please, Holy Spirit, show me what I've just said." And suddenly out of your being like an eruption takes place with such beauty, such eloquence, such poetry.

There's there's been times I've rushed and said, "Lord, wait, wait, wait. Let me write it down." Anybody's ever done that and I wrote it down. And to this day, I still have volumes of paper of everything God has ever spoken through me in praise. Someday I should publish it.

I must have six full books about this size with stuff and and most times the praise is so how shall I say you can't express it. It's beyond expression in the human vocabulary. The beauty of of those words just seem to absolutely take take hold of you. It's just fabulous.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, verse 14, my spirit prayth, but my understanding is unfruitful, the tongue that Hey, are you enjoying this? >> Can you give me five more minutes? >> All right. The praying unto God. We are still talking about verse two. We're still talking about the mysteries.

This is not any other tongue, but the one we've been talking about for the last few minutes. THIS TONGUE STIRS UP MY SPIRIT MAN and cuts interruptions out of the mind. When you begin praying unto God mysteries, your spirit man comes alive and your mind gets out of the way.

If you want to get your mind where it is no longer interrupting you in prayer, get to pray in tongues unto God. He said, "Now, Ben, how do I begin?" Well, I'm going to show you. Look at verse 15. What is it then? I will. Say, I will. >> I will. >> Say, I will. >> I will. >> You know how you begin? >> I will.

It's not dependent on the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost waits for you to start and when you do, he'll anoint it. He'll touch it. and he will not anoint it unless he sees you really are serious about talking to your father in heaven. You get to THE PLACE IN ENGLISH where you can no longer say anything.

I've been I've been in places in prayer where I prayed for everything I could think about. I said everything I could think about and then when I ran out I gave it to the Holy Ghost. There's times, you know, you don't know what else. How many times can you pray for your mother, your grandmother, and your church and your pastors and yourself and this and this and then you say, "Well, I already prayed for this and you know in 10 10 minutes."

I mean, you do you know you do you know you can pray for everything you've ever wanted and be through like in 15 minutes. Anybody ever tried that? Did you ever time how long it takes you to tell God what you need? Most times a few seconds. But you, you know, most of us have a big list of things we want to pray for.

Oh, God. Then you're all done. And when you're all done, you say, "Well, I don't feel anything." God, did you hear that? So, you try it again. Most of us repeat so much is absolutely God says, "Okay." And then you know you just most wonderful people could quit there and have death that's over.

If you stay there it's a little longer. This morning oh man this morning I want to show you something. I came into my study this morning and I did this and I just laid there for like 20 minutes. Just laid there. Said nothing. nothing. The best thing to do sometimes you say, "Well, why don't you begin talking?"

God is not blind. He saw me there. Saw me. I didn't have to say, "I'm here." Oh, Lord. Hello. We always enter God's presence and think he's got to hear us. Just keep quiet. 20 minutes. This was like u by now it's 6:00, maybe 6 something. And suddenly I began to feel a shiver come over me.

The air conditioning was off and out of my being. It wasn't my mouth. Often your mouth don't work till maybe 7 o'clock. Mondays it don't work till about 12 for me. No, more like 10 >> cuz Sunday almost wipes me out. And then this this this inner being and and in my I my mouth wasn't yet going to work but my heart was saying I love you Lord.

Thank you for your mercy. And next thing you know just one word after another. Then I prayed for everything I wanted to pray for and it was over. Prayed for today, prayed for the ministry. Prayed for all kinds of things. Then I began I'm going to stand and show you you but no I was on the floor and I began to pray and just as I began it almost like these words came so slowly and then suddenly like an eruption and by this time I'm moving on the floor then you and then I kneel like this and I was going And then I'm Anybody ever does that? >> Now you know why the Jews do it at the willing wall.

The Holy Ghost comes on you, brother. You can't quit. And I'm going like this. And I'm going like this. By this time, God is my witness. This is the truth. People, the presence of the Lord got so rich, I could almost see somebody in my study. I lifted my hands and a numbness began to go up and down my arms.

But you know, it'll take you about 45 minutes. Sometimes a whole hour, some a little longer. And for maybe 20 minutes, I didn't know a thing I was saying because I was in tongues. And I didn't ask the Lord what did I say to be honest with you because I had to go get myself dressed up to be in service.

Had I had more time, I would have said, "Lord, what did I say?" I would have been there another hour had I asked. But this is what happens. And you come here and you're in your car and there's melody in your spirit. You can't quit singing. It's supernatural.

You're not trying to push it because the rust got flown off of you that first 10 minutes. You know when you know the best thing you can do to get all the thrusty feeling out of you is just lay down and say nothing. Don't say a word to God.

I know. He knows. And he knows. I know. And since he knows that I know that I know that he knows, it's all right. If that doesn't make sense, don't worry about it. And here you are knowing that he knows that you're there. And you know that he knows that you know that he knows that he knows and then suddenly something happens and then I began praying in the Holy Ghost.

God didn't give me a goosebump. I didn't feel a shake and a move. I just began talking. And when you begin talking like a faucet comes on. Lift your hands right now. Say, "Father God, >> Father God, >> I'm ready. >> I'm ready >> for mysteries >> for mysteries >> to be spoken out of me. >> to be spoken out of me >> in the name of Jesus." >> Jesus, >> I WILL PRAY WITH THE SPIRIT.

I WILL PRAY WITH THE UNDERSTANDING. I will sing WITH THE SPIRIT. I WILL SING WITH THE UNDERSTANDING. WHEN DOES IT HAPPEN? THAT'S IN PRIVATE PRAYER. OH, YOU STILL HAVE YOUR hands up. That's the funniest thing I've ever seen. I I was still preaching and you were all I surrender all.

That's what you were doing. Real quickly, come on. Look at verse 18. I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all. That's the private tongue. Look at verse 2022. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not.

That's the act two kind of tongues. Look at verse 26. How is it then, brethren, when you come together, every one of you had a psalm, had a doctrine, had a tongue, THAT'S FOR PUBLIC MINISTRY, three kinds. Man, I feel something here. Stand up. Glory to God forever.

Will you say yes?" And I said, "The Lord just asked me. The Lord just told me. Of course, it's yes." And everybody was just, you know, rejoicing. Dear Lord Jesus, >> I declare right now, >> you are my Savior. You are my redeemer. You are the Lord of my life.

You are my King forever. I no longer belong to myself. >> I no longer belong to the world. >> I no longer belong to the devil. >> I belong to you. >> You are my savior. >> God Almighty is my heavenly father. The Holy Spirit is my comforter. >> And I am born again. >> Amen. >> Pastor Benny Hinn is pressing forward with his divine message to take the gospel around the world.

October 10 through 12 will forever be remembered as a historic moment for Zimbabwe. After months of prayer and preparation, the miracle grounds were transformed into a place of miracles, salvations, and divine encounters. From the very moment Pastor Benny stepped off the plane, the atmosphere was charged with the tangible presence of God.

He was warmly received by the minister of tourism, prayed over the first lady of Zimbabwe and later met with his excellency, President Emerson Magwa, who passionately encouraged him to preach the gospel all over Zimbabwe. What followed was nothing short of divine. Heaven itself seemed to touch the earth over fields stretching across hundreds of acres.

Waves of people poured in, hearts open and expectant, ready to receive God's touch. Miracles, salvations, and breakthroughs flowed as the Holy Spirit moved mightily through the land. People from across the globe including China, Uganda, Congo, the USA, Malawi, India, Dubai, Nigeria, Zambia, Mosmbique, Ethiopia, Gabone, South Africa, and many other nations gathered at the miracle grounds, uniting in faith and expectancy to witness God's miraculous move.

A symphony of worship and heartfelt cries to God filled the knights. The joy and hunger among the people, especially the younger generation, were undeniable. They came not just to witness, but to encounter God, to be touched, healed, and transformed. The miracle grounds became a sanctuary where heaven met earth and lives were forever changed.

God has indeed touched the future of Zimbabwe and the nation will never be the same. 2026 promises to be a year of even greater impact in Africa as multiple crusades are being planned. The capital city of Addis Sababa will be the site of a massive event at Meccoll Square sponsored by the Ethiopian Council of Churches. very hopefully prayerfully we'll we'll be waiting for the arrival of Pastor Ben and his ministry because we have we have seen we have seen his ministry a a Holy Spirit empowered ministry a ministry that touches people's lives people's physical needs people's mental needs >> thank you partner parters for your faithful prayers and support as you stand with Pastor Benny in saying yes to Africa.
