Now you're very close to your double portion. >> Hallelujah. >> Say hallelujah. >> HALLELUJAH. >> SAY WHEN I GET >> WHEN I GET >> TO SATANIC >> TO SATANIC >> OPPOSITION >> THE DOUBLE PORTION >> IS ALMOST THERE. >> ALMOST THERE.
WELL, SHOUT HALLELUJAH. GLORY TO GOD ((cheering)) FOREVER. >> TODAY, Pastor ((music playing)) Benny presents another teaching in his series, Holy Ghost Invasion. Stay tuned for the double portion anointing. First Kings 19, please. And those watching us on TV, welcome, welcome, welcome. Take your Bibles with us and let's get into the word and get some Holy Ghost mana that'll fill our hearts with good.
And father today bless your word with the anointing of the Holy Ghost in Jesus mighty name. Bless your people Lord today. And I pray feed our hearts with mana from above. And may that seed that you sow within us produce a mighty harvest. And the people said >> And the people said, >> "Oh my goodness, are you ready today?"
First Kings 19 verse 16 we begin. And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel? And Elisha the son of Shafath of Ebola shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. The Bible declares that when Elisha the prophet was called, God had spoken to Elijah and said, "I want you to go and anoint him."
Now, first of all, the name Elisha means God is my salvation. God is my savior. Elisha in the Bible is a type of the believer. Elijah is a type of Jesus and Elisha is a type of you and I believers in Christ. Let me add that everything in the Old Testament is a shadow to the substance of the New Testament.
The Old Covenant contains the shadow of things and the New Testament contains the substance of that shadow. Now when I walk on the platform like I am with the lights down on me, you see my shadow. That shadow you can see it but it's no good. It can't give you any any you can't even touch it.
But the real substance is walking, TALKING, LIVING, TOUCHING THE REAL THING. When we see Elisha, we see a shadow. We see a type of what you and I really are walking in. So there are no meaningless details in the Bible. Everything in THE WORD OF GOD IS THERE FOR A REASON.
Say amen. >> Amen. >> Now the Bible declares that God called Elisha. Now you all remember I've just said Elijah is a type of Jesus. And Elijah the prophet had just called far from heaven has just given the word of the Lord to Ahab and brought destruction to Ahab's house.
And the Lord was just about to take him home BEFORE ELISHA THE PROPHET WAS CALLED. So Fred, let's reread again first Kings 19 and verse 16. And Jiu, the son of Nimshi, shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel? And Elisha the son of Shafett and of Abel Maha shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. >> All right, first of all, let's point this out.
Before you receive the double portion, say double portion. >> Double portion. >> Say it again. >> Double portion. >> One more time. Double. >> That's exactly what we're teaching on this morning. The double portion anointing. How many want it? Let me see your hands up high. >> WELL, BEFORE YOU GET TO YOUR DOUBLE PORTION, you've got to see how he got there.
I'm going TO TAKE YOU STEP BY STEP WITH ELISHA AND SHOW YOU HOW AND show you how he got to his double portion. The only way you and I can get to to our double portion is to look at that shadow, to look at that type so we can follow and get the substance of what he got.
The Bible says he was called. Now ladies and gentlemen, before God gives you the double portion anointing, you must be called. How do you get called? What is a calling? What is it to be called? Let's turn to Isaiah 49 and explain what a calling is all about.
The Bible says many are called. The Bible says all of us have a calling in Christ Jesus. Paul the Apostle told Timothy, he says you have a high calling. We all are called. We may not necessarily be preachers or evangelists, but God has called every one of us for ministry and to ministry.
Every believer is called to serve the Lord. >> Say, "Amen." >> Amen. >> Now, Fred is gonna read for us from Isaiah 49 in just a second and describe what is a calling. What is a calling? Look at me all of you, please. Some of you precious visitors that are here, maybe are unaccustomed to the way we do things here.
This is a church that loves the word of God and loves to feed people the word of God. >> Amen. Now the Bible says a calling includes a number of things. To be called don't mean oh I'm going to feel goosebump on my hands and I'm going to be in the ministry.
That's not a calling. Isaiah 49 verse 1 2 and 3 describe what it is to be called of God. All right Fred go ahead and read for us verse one. >> Listen O isles unto me and hearken ye people from far. The Lord hath called me from the womb.
From the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. >> WHEN GOD CALLS YOU, there is predestination involved. God knows whom he will choose and will call them. Isaiah said, God call me from my mother's womb. All right, keep going, Fred. >> And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword. >> Notice those who are called will be filled with the word of the living God.
Reread that verse, Fred. Reread the whole thing again as they point as we see what that word will do. Go ahead, Fred. >> Listen, O isles, unto me, and hearken ye people from far. The Lord hath called me from the womb. From the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
He hath made my mouth like a sharp sword. In the shadow of his hand hath he hid me. >> Now, how does your mouth become a sharp sword through the word of God? So the first thing that God do when he call you, when he calls you, he'll fill you with his word.
If you're hungry for the word of God, that is proof you are called. >> How many are hungry for the word? Wave at me. Means you THERE'S A CALLING ON YOUR LIFE. >> And then he said what? After he says the word is like a soul in my mouth.
What else did he say, Fred? >> In the in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me. >> That word hid is the Hebrew prepare. God will first separate you and then he will prepare you. Preparation is a must before you. So God calls you. In other words, he separates you.
Remember separation then comes preparation. Before preparation, you'll have separation. God will separate you from the world. He says, "Come unto me. Be you separate. come out from among them. Be ye separate, he said in Isaiah. And at that point, he begins to fill you with his word. When his word begins TO FILL YOUR LIFE, THERE WILL BE PREPARATION in your spirit.
So the word he hath hidden me or he hath hid me means he has prepared me. He's preparing me to be used. But watch what he does as he prepares you. Go ahead, friend. >> And made me a polished shaft. >> You know what a polished shaft is?
That's the That's the pointed uh part of an arrow. God Almighty declares, "Oh, this is marvelous." Look at me. Please look at me. Look at me. You are an arrow in the hands of the Lord. >> HE HOLDS THE BOW AND YOU'RE THAT ARROW. BUT BEFORE HE CAN USE YOU, he has to polish the shaft. >> He has to make it smooth.
You know why? So it can hit the target. >> GOD CANNOT USE YOU TILL YOU'RE SMOOTH ENOUGH. AND pointy enough TO RIGHT THERE KNOCK THE devil right between the eyes. Say hallelujah. FOR GOD TO DO THAT, HE has to call you to separate you. He has to fill you with his word as he is now and has been for weeks and months and who knows how long many of you have been filling up with THE WORD.
AND THIRDLY, HE HIDES you and prepares you. And fourthly, he polishes you so you can be swift and you can be fast and you can be right on. Right on target. What else does he do, Fred? >> In his quiver hath he hid me. >> Now, this word head is another Hebrew word.
Amazingly, the the uh uh uh Hebrew uses two se two separate separate words for head. One means prepare and the other one means rest. Once God polishes you where you're ready to be shot, he gives you a little period of rest before he shoots you. He puts you in that quiver to take a little vacation.
There's a Holy Ghost vacation before you knock the devil right between the eyes. >> Say, "GOD SEPARATES ME. >> God separates me, >> prepares me, >> prepares me, >> polishes me, >> POLISHES ME, >> REFRESHES ME, >> REFRESHES ME, >> AND then uses me. >> And then uses me." >> And when he uses you, look what happens.
Freddy, go ahead. and said unto him, "Thou art my servant, O Israel." >> Oh, when God shoots you, HE'LL SAY, "YOU'RE MY SERVANT." >> AND GOD SAYS, "What then?" >> In whom I will be glorified, >> brother. When God shoots that arrow, he will glorify his name. >> And that's what is involved in a calling.
Say, "When I am called, >> when I'm called, >> he separates me." >> Separates me. >> That marvelous takes you out of the world in the woods. He prepares me. He prepares me >> fills filling me with his word. >> filling me with his word. >> He prepares me. >> He polishes me. >> He polishes me. >> He refreshes me. >> He refreshes me. >> He uses me. >> He uses me. >> I will be his servant. >> I will be his servant >> and glorify him. >> Glorify him. >> Seven things involved in one calling.
Now, Elisha was called. Let's go back to first Kings 19. Elisha was called. Oh, hallelujah. Somebody say, "Praise the Lord." >> Praise the Lord. >> The Bible says when God called him, he saw something in him. And that's why he called him. Ladies and gentlemen, unless God finds the same thing in you, he won't call you.
You know what? What he saw in him? You know what? What he saw in him? The following verse, Fred, go on, read this for us, please. >> And it shall come to pass that him that escapeth the sword of his shall Jahu slay. Mhm. >> And him that escapeth from the sword of Jiu shall Elisha slay. >> Watch this.
Elisha is a warrior already. God does not call those who do not have a warrior spirit. >> In verse 16, he called him. In verse 17, he says, "And by the way, if Jehu don't get him, Elisha will." In other words, Elisha is already A WARRIOR. HE KNOWS HOW TO USE THE SWORD.
[screaming] >> SAY, God will not call >> God will not call >> anybody >> anybody >> to the double portion >> to the double portion >> unless they know how to use a sword. >> Elisha knew how to use a sword. God said he'll slay. God looks and says, "Does this boy have a warrior spirit within him?"
Looks at his spirit and says, "Let's see if he's got one. IS HE AGGRESSIVE? REMEMBER, God don't call wimps. >> He not He's not interested in in in in little weaklings that don't want TO MOVE. >> OH, GOD. UHHUH. DON'T MAKE ME make don't make me find the devil.
Let somebody else do it. God says, "Then forget it. No, no double portion for you." Do you want the double portion? >> Look what this man did. He was called. He was already a warrior. And watch this. Oh, this is marvelous. I'm enjoying this more than you are enjoying it.
Watch this. Verse 18. Yet I have left me 7,000 in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which has not kissed him. So he departed then, and found Elisha, the son of Shafat, who was plowing with 12 yolk of oxen, before him.
Now, will you all look AT ME, PLEASE? WHAT WAS ELISHA DOING WHEN ELIJAH found him? Was he in a library? >> No. >> Was he holding a book reading about psychology? >> No. >> Was he sitting in high school studying the Chinese Revolution? >> No. >> What was what?
Where was he? >> He was on a farm DOING WHAT? >> WHAT WAS IN in his hand? APP PLOW. SAY APPLOUD. >> PLOW. >> SAY IT AGAIN. >> SAY IT AGAIN. >> GOD IS NOT GOING TO CALL ANYBODY WHO IS LAZY. >> THE MAN WAS A HARDWORKING FARMER.
Now something about Elisha. This was his father's farm. His father was a very wealthy farmer to have 12 yolk of oxin because the the some of the richest had only two or three. This guy had 12. And Elisha was at the tail end of all of them. There were men plowing with him and he was way back there.
It had just rained because if you read First Kings, you'll see rain had just fallen from heaven after three years of famine. THE GROUND WAS WET, BUT 12 YOLK OF OXEN, which bread, may I say, reminded me after first service. Some Bible teachers believe there were only 12.
Some believe there were 24. And and and some believe there are six. But really, I think Fred is right. There are 24 because every oxen has a yoke, which means two. Imagine that many throwing their mud behind them. Elisha was covered with the stuff. >> WHEN ELIJAH FOUND HIM, HE WAS FULL OF DIRT.
God will never call you if you're clean. >> God loves to give his children a shower. >> God enjoys giving him giving you a bath. >> If you read Ezekiel 16, though, not not now. The Bible says in EZEKIEL 16, "WHEN I FOUND THEE," THAT'S WHAT GOD SAYS. "WHEN I FOUND THEE, YOU WERE POLLUTED AND I WASHED THEE." >> GOD [screaming] LOVES looking for dirty people to wash. >> He enjoys that.
WHEN HE FOUND ISAIAH, ISAIAH SAID, "My I'm a man of filthy tongue." God said, "It's all right. I'll wash it." When he found Peter, HE SAID, "LORD, I'M A SINFUL MAN." God will never choose the righteous, the self-righteous. He'll choose those who are filthy enough to say, "Wash me." >> Not my I'm not GOING TO WASH MYSELF.
WASH ME AND CLEANSE ME with the blood. >> Say, "Hallelujah." >> HALLELUJAH. >> NOW, NOW, NOW THIS MAN WAS WAS PLOWING. HIS FATHER was the boss. He was the he he owned the farm. Yet the MAN WAS HUMBLE ENOUGH TO be way back in the tail end. Say after me, God >> God God >> does not >> does not >> choose men >> choose men >> who are fit >> who are fit. >> God >> God >> fits men >> fits men >> who are chosen >> who are chosen. >> GOD DID NOT EQUIP him because he was the son of a rich man.
GOD DID NOT EQUIP HIM BECAUSE HE WAS BLIND. God equipped him because he was chosen. Say, God does not equip >> God >> those >> who are educated. >> He'll equip those who are chosen. The Bible says, isn't that right? So, say it one more time. God does not choose >> God does not choose >> the equipped. >> He'll equip >> He'll equip >> He'll equip >> those who are chosen. >> those who are chosen.
Are you chosen? >> He's about to equip you. >> Say hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> He was called. First thing, Jesus said, "I called you. I chose you." Secondly, he was already an aggressive man. He was a warrior. HE KNEW HOW TO USE A SWORD. YOU WANT TO GET TO the you do you want to get the devil anointing?
You better be a warrior already before God Almighty begins to use you. >> BE AN AGGRESSIVE MAN. BE A GO-GETTER. [screaming] >> SAY to yourself, "I'm not going to sit down, wait for the angels to give me a goosebump my finger. I'm going to move with God." Remember this, the Jordan never spit till the man touched it. >> You know, people ask me, "How do you start?"
I said, "You just move. And if you're going to sink, you're going to sink." >> Faith is action. If God spoke to you, don't wait for the angels to brush your head. STEP INTO it >> by faith. >> Man, if God tells you to do something, don't you dare sit there and say, "Oh, God, let me feel the thing."
Forget it. If you believe it, you're going to step into it. >> And if you die, you die. >> BUT IF GOD TRULY CALLED YOU, YOU ARE not you won't die. >> You live, man. First time I first time I laid hands on the sick, the devil had been telling me for two weeks, nothing will happen.
Nobody going to get healed. Never forget standing at a bus stop at Dawn Mills. The devil told me, "It's not going to happen. Nothing. Nothing." And man, I got scared, you know, and you're oh, you know, you're like this. But then when that thing hit, something amazing about God.
THE ANOINTING NEVER CAME ON me till my hand was already at the guy's face. >> GOD DOESN'T WAIT WHEN YOUR HAND is here or here or here or here. He waits when you grab the thing. >> GOD IS NEVER EARLY, BUT HE'S NEVER LATE. >> Just about the time you think you're going to die, he shows up.
The scariest feeling, Jim, was when I preached my first sermon. Cuz I I used to stutter my whole life. God didn't heal me when I was sitting down. Oh, how I wish he did. Would have saved my blood pressure. I went up to preach and on the way up I was thinking, "God, they're going to laugh at me.
I want to make a mess. Oh, Jesus. Oh my God." I wanted to go home on and they all sitting there. You know, God never touched my tongue till I spoke the first word. He doesn't do it till you're in the water. >> He doesn't do it till you're dead.
He He doesn't do it till you got nothing to hang on. SAY HALLELUJAH. [applause and cheering] LIKE BARTHAMUS, his eyes never opened till HE SAID BYE-BYE GARMENT. [laughter] Be careful. Now you see see like I told you one time, blind people in Israel used to wear garments that said to the world, "I'm blind."
If you read that story, he'll say you you'll see where he threw his garment. Blind people wore a wor a garment that said, "I'm blind. I'm blind." That's what said that's how the world knew they were blind. And if that garment was on him, it meant you should help them home and feed them and give them money.
And when the garment was off, that boy would have never made it home. If you're not wearing your garment, they won't feed you. You're going to starve and die. When Jesus said come, Barthameus didn't say I'll keep it just in case. Had he done that, the Lord would have said, you got to let go. >> Faith. >> Say faith. >> Faith. >> Say faith. >> Faith. >> Say it again. >> Faith. >> That's what it takes.
Here he was. dirty, unpresentable, FILTHY, FULL OF MUD. HE probably couldn't see what was ahead of him. And Elijah comes along and puts his mantle on him, says, "Your chosen man." When he felt that mantle, he probably looked up and took the dirt of his eyes and said, "My God, what's happening to me?"
A mantle represents something fantastic in the Bible. Ruth 3:9 says it represents a man's rights and his personality. Did you hear what I said? >> How can you be so quiet? Look at me everybody before you go to Ruth. Hello. Here's you. Watch this. You're called. Say, "I'm called." >> I'm called. >> YOU'RE A WARRIOR.
SAY, "I KNOW HOW TO FIGHT. >> I KNOW HOW TO FIGHT." >> OH, MAN. This place is alive. Say hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Say, I'm in the field working. >> I'm in the field working. >> Not lazy. >> I'm not lazy. >> And when you're in the field working, Jesus comes by and says, I like what I see.
Here are my rights and here is my personality. I'M GIVING YOU EVERYTHING THAT belongs to me. >> My rights have just become yours >> and my personality has just become yours. Ruth 3:9, Ruth said to Boaz, she said, "Hide me under your garment, for you are my kinsmen."
In other words, hide me under your protection cuz I'm your family. To the Jew, a garment represented your rights, your personality. She was saying TO BOAZ, "BOAZ, TAKE ME UNDER THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS." The man looked at her and said, "You are more righteous than I thought you were."
Turn to Ruth. I'm going to show it to you and you can underline the thing in your Bible. Look at Ruth 3:9. Fred, go ahead. Read read the thing for them so they can see it. >> And he said, "Who art thou?" And she answered, "I am Ruth thy handmmaid." >> Yeah.
Spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmmaid, for thou art a near kinsman. >> In other words, are you all there now, Ruth? In other words, she said, "Cover me with your skirt. Cover me with your with your garment because you're my family and I'm hiding under all that you possess."
Now, every prophet wore three mantels. The first mantle was an outside mantle that represent represented what I just told you rights and personality. The inner mantle the second mantle was the prophet's mantle which Elisha took later when Elijah was taken up to heaven. When Jesus calls you, he immediately gives you rights and personality his own in preparation for the double portion.
But look what else now happens to him. First Kings 19. Go back to it please. Verse 20. Look what happens. The fifth thing that happens now to Elisha or the fifth thing that he does. Are you enjoying this? >> It's marvelous, isn't it? Verse 20 says, "And he left the oxen AND RAN AFTER ELIJAH."
He left and did what? >> He did what? >> Say he ran. >> He ran. >> Say it again. >> He ran. >> Say it again. >> HE RAN. >> NO [screaming] RELUCTANCE. The absence of reluctance. No, NONE. NOT ONE HESITATION. GOD SAYS WHEN I CALL YOU, I DON'T WANT YOU TO DID IT DILLYDALLY AND TELL ME WHAT.
LET ME THINK ABOUT IT. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS LET ME THINK ABOUT IT. WHEN IT comes to the double portion, >> IF YOU WANT GOD TO USE YOU, THERE MUST BEEN AN INSTANTANEOUS YES, [screaming] LORD, WHERE YOU GOING? >> I'LL FOLLOW YOU NO MATTER WHAT. HE RAN AFTER HIM.
RAN. No hesitancy, NO RELUCTANCE, NO MAYBE, NO IFS. A lot of Christians today sitting in churches THAT GOD WILL NEVER USE because they said, "Well, just in case I will," God says, "sforget it." And the following thing he did, look at this. Oh, yeah. May I add, he respected his father and mother enough that he went back to kiss him and say goodbye.
You see, this man honored his father and mother and said to the prophet Elijah, HE SAYS, "I'M COMING. I'M RUNNING OUT HERE. LET ME GO KISS my father and mother at least. Bye-bye." Just one kiss. He said, "Go." And he did because fathers and mothers must be honored.
And verse 21 says, "And he returned back from him and took a yoke of oxen and slew them and boiled their flesh with the INSTRUMENTS OF THE OXEN." THIS IS the most glorious step. He took the sixth STEP, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IS HE RENOUNCED ALL [screaming] PAST EXPERIENCES. >> HE SAID TO THE OLD WORLD, "BEY."
AMEN. >> OH, somebody say, "Praise the Lord." >> HE RENOUNCED HIS FORMER LIFE. HE FORGOT HIS PAST. GOD WILL NEVER BRING YOU TO THE DOUBLE PORTION. IF YOU CARRY YESTERDAY ON YOUR SHOULDERS, >> yesterday must be forgotten >> completely. Forgetting the things that are behind. Paul said, "If you will not release your yesterday, you'll never get to your tomorrow." >> How many want to see tomorrow?
How many want to see tomorrow? >> Then quit seeing yesterday. God cannot use us when we see how we were. God is not going to do that. Elisha burned everything. TOILET, BYE-BYE. [screaming] I DON'T WANT YOU NO MORE. OLD LIFE I WON'T EVEN THINK about you going all the way with God. >> Hallelujah. >> The Bible goes on to say in verse 21, "And he returned back from him and took a yoke of oxen and slew him and bore their flesh with the instruments of the oxen and gave unto the people and they did eat.
Then he arose and went after Elijah and ministered unto him." He was not the only prophet. Elijah had helping him. He was not the only one. He was one of many different servants Elijah Elijah had. For we find in chapter 18 verse 43. Look at it. First Kings 18:43 that that Elijah had other servants besides Elisha.
It says, "And Elijah said to his servant, go up now, look toward the sea." And he went up and looked. That was this was another servant besides Elisha because this was before Elisha ever came along. Are you all hearing this? >> If you are, say amen. >> Amen. >> Now, now we get to the very exciting part of the message.
God called him. Look at me, please. Nobody reading now. God called him. He was already a warrior. He was already a worker. God gave him his mantle. He ran after God. He destroyed the past and said bye-bye to it. And he was willing to be one of many servants.
Seven. Now when that was done, the next place we see Elisha is in 2 Kings chapter 2. Turn and get there with me and you'll see where he is. Now in 2 Kings 2:1, and it came to pass when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind that Elijah WENT WITH ELISHA FROM GILGAL.
Everybody say Gilgal. >> Gilgal. >> Say it again. >> Gilgal. >> Want you to look me straight in the eyes. I'm going to look you square in your eyes. I want you all to say Gilgal. >> Gil. Say it again. >> Gilgal. >> One more time. >> Gilgal. >> And before I take show you what Gilgal is, I'm going to tell you something.
Gilgal in the Bible represents the place of comfort and religious activity, but no supernatural power. Gilgal in the Bible involves the place, it actually means rolling away, rolling over. It's a place where Christians go in a circle and end up nowhere. That's Gilgal. What is Gilgal? Going in a circle and ending up where? >> Nowhere.
Now God brings you to Gilgal for a reason. Every time you see Gilgal in the Bible, it's the place where you are saved already. You're in the church now, but you're going nowhere. Turn to Joshua 5. Let me show you Gilgot. There a lot of people who are called by God and God will bring you to Gilgal for a reason.
Gilgal is on the way to the double portion. You cannot get your double portion without having a Gilgal experience. >> Say I must have >> I must have >> a Gilgal experience. >> Gilgal experience. >> Now, now now I want to show you something. God takes you to Gilgal.
Look at me, please. God takes you to Gilgal to see if you're gonna stay there. And if you do, you'll lose the double portion anointing because Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay at Gilgal." HE SAYS, "NO WAY. I'M NOT STAYING AT GILGAL." Gilgal is the place, and this is very, very powerful.
First, look at verse 9. Joshua 5:9. Gilgal is the place you forget Egypt. Gilgal is the place you forget the old life. You've already passed all that. Remember, Gilgal is their place. I'm born again now. MY SINS ARE WASHED AWAY. I'M WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB and I'm having a marvelous time.
A marvelous time. Don't lead you to a good double portion and on it. And the Lord said unto Joshua in verse 9, "This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from of you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal." Now at Gilgal, look what they had.
Verse 10. And the children of Israel encamped at Gilgal and kept the Passover. At Gilgal, you have saved people on the 14th day of the month, even in the plain of Jericho. And they did and they did eat of the old corn of the land. They ate what? >> They ate what? >> Say old corn. >> Old. >> Stop and look at me, please.
Gilgal is the place where mana is no longer given. In other words, the absence of supernatural food. Watch this. You get to You're saved. I know you're writing right now, but you you've you've got to give me your those eyeballs of yours. Like, I've got to see them.
Blue, brown, and purple, and all the rest of them. Contact lenses included. You get to Gilgal and now you say, "I've been born again." You see, you needed the supernatural while you were in Egypt to get you out. When you're out, you say, "I'm fine now, Lord. I don't need your power.
I'm out." While in Egypt, I saw the power of God. I saw THE GLORY OF GOD. THAT'S WHAT GOT me out. Now you're out. And a lot of a lot of Christians are right there. They get to church and say, "Amen. I'm out. I'm having a marvelous time.
Well, the day of miracles and yeah, it's back there and I'm glad I had it, but now I'm just having a good old religious time. And you go in a circle. It says rolling away. You roll like this and end up nowhere. No mana to eat. You're eating corn from the ground.
And what you're really saying is, God, don't feed me. Don't bother. I'll just cook myself. I am dependent on my own ability. I'll sow. I'll reap. Just don't worry about it. And the Bible goes on to say, look at it now. Verse 12. And the mana ceased on the marorrow after they had eaten of the old corn.
Watch. The mana didn't quit till they ate old food. Neither had the children of Israel mana anymore, but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. Well, in the natural, of course, they did that. In the spiritual, it's forbidden for us TO CEASE FROM DEPENDING ON THE SUPERNATURAL. >> OH, GOD, let them get it. >> LOOK AT ME, PLEASE.
YOU GET TO CHURCH BACK WHEN YOU WERE UNSAVED. YOU WERE HUNGRY FOR GOD'S POWER. YOU [screaming] WERE ON DRUGS. YOU WERE INVOLVED WITH LUST OR SEX OR WHATEVER. GOD SAVES YOUR SOUL THROUGH HIS POWER. THEN YOU GET TO CHURCH AND YOU BECOME NOTHING BUT RELIGIOUS. >> That's Gilgal. >> I AM NOT INTERESTED IN MANNER.
JUST GIVE ME A LITTLE LITTLE MEAL. Psychological little preacher. Gilgal. NO POWER. [screaming] GILGAL. NO HEAVEN'S FOOD, GILGAL. >> AMEN. >> GOD WILL TAKE YOU THERE TO see if you're going to stay there. >> ELISHA SAID, "NO WAY. I will not stay in my COMFORTABLE LITTLE CHURCH SURROUNDING GOING AROUND DOING NOTHING.
I WANT [screaming] MORE. ((applause)) I WANT THE DOUBLE PORTION." AND NO DOUBLE PORTION IS IN GILGAL. They can have their religion. They can have their hymns and little sermons. I want more of God. >> Many of you are here because you got tired of your kill that you were in before. >> BUT THE NEXT PLACE, GOD TOOK Elisha in first kings.
Get back there quick. Oh Jesus. Oh hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. Say amen. >> Amen. >> The second place God takes Elisha is to Bethl. Second Kings chapter 2. I said first Kings. I know I was in the flesh. I was going around in Gilgal. Had to come out of it.
Came out of Gilgal. Okay. 2 Kings 2 verse 2. And Elijah said unto Elisha, "Try here." In other words, stay in Gilgali. It looks like you're going to enjoy it. But Elisha said, "No way." He says, "I pray thee for the Lord has sent me to Bethl." And Elisha said unto him, "As the Lord liveth, AND AS THY SOUL LIVETH, I WILL NOT LEAVE THEE."
In other words, Elijah, don't try and keep me in this religious little spot. >> There may be no mana and no no supernatural but I know it's somewhere waiting for me >> I will not stay in Gilgal I want to go where the cloud is >> AND NOW HE CAME TO Bethl but no double portion at Bethl Bethl what is it oh MY EVERY TIME YOU SEE BETHL YOU SEE GOD you got to go through be hear this Bethl is on the way you there going to be a stop over there your plane will land at Bethl There's no non-stop flights in God's kingdom. >> I've never known the Lord to take me anywhere non-stop.
Every time God takes me anywhere, I go on these little hop things, you know, hop jobs. And God don't use great commercial airlines. He uses com the little things that shake a lot in the air, the commuter airliners. Because while you're going, you're about to die shaking in your seat.
THE ONLY NON-STOP FLIGHT WILL BE THE RAPTURE. >> Anything down here is all stop and go. Are you hearing me? >> God took Israel through the wilderness 40 times. They had 40 stops on the way to the promised land. God God doesn't believe in non-stop flights on Earth.
You got to land in Atlanta everywhere you go. Tell you those that open the Atlantic airport must know that God likes to kind of stop over. They say let's build an airport. They can bring them all in. Must be all Christians. NOW THE BIBLE SAYS he came to Bethl.
Say Bethl. >> Say it again. >> Say it again. >> Bethl is the place of major decisions. Every time you see Bethl, it is a place where men decide. Jacob, he was at Bethl and made a decision whether he want to serve God or not. It was at Bethl he said, "I'll serve you."
Bethl is the place where you wrestle with God. When he CAME BACK FROM LEBAN, IT WAS AT BETHL THERE WAS A WRESTLING match with the God of Herod. Bethl is the place of wrestling with God. The place of yielding and surrender. THE PLACE OF DYING to your desires.
God has got to bring you there before he can take you any further. Now something about Bethl. This is fantastic. My father, let me show you something about Bethl. Bethl is mentioned throughout the old covenant. It was the place where Abraham pitched his tent and made a decision to live for God.
Was the same place Jacob, his grandson, said, "God, I'll follow you. I'll serve you." In Genesis 28, it was the same place he came back to and fought with GOD AND WAS TRANSFORMED FROM JACOB TO ISRAEL. IT WAS THE same place Samuel heard the voice of God for the first time.
It was at Bethl where God said, "SAMUEL, SAMUEL." Same place Saul rejected the word. THE SAME PLACE SAUL LOST EVERYTHING WAS AT BETHL. Bethl is the place of decisions. Is the place of gaining or losing everything you got. It was at Bethl Samuel said to Saul, "Go to Bethl and wait for me.
Don't offer the sacrifice till I get there." And Saul got there and rejected the word of the Lord. AND THE BIBLE DECLARES HE LOST his kingdom at Bethl. It's at Bethl, brother. God will have you make your most difficult decision for life. You're going to get there. How many want you double portion? >> There's a Bethl on the way.
There's a what on the way? >> There's a what on the way? >> There's a what on the way? >> And before was was what? >> What is Gilgal? going in circles and getting where? >> Nowhere. >> NOWHERE. WHAT'S BETHL? The place of major. >> Now after Bethl, the prophet said to him, Elijah said, why don't you stay here?
Elisha knew better. He said, there's no double portion in this place. This is the place of hard fighting with God. I saw something. Watch this. To get to Gilgal, God fought for you to get you there. He fought for you in Egypt to get you out of Gilgal.
At Bethl, God fights with you. God wrestled for me to get me to Gilgal. And God wrestles with me at Bethl. Now after Bethl, he took me to Jericho. Look at it. And Elijah, verse four, and Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tell me here, I pray thee, for the Lord have sent me to Jericho.
AND HE SAID, "NO, YOU'RE NOT GOING WITHOUT ME. I DON'T LIKE THIS PLACE, BETHL." OH, it hurts. You're not going anywhere. AND PLUS, ELIJAH, THERE'S NO DOUBLE ANOINTING HERE. IT'S somewhere else, and I'm going to get it. I'm bleeding over here. You want me to stay? Are you crazy?
I am not staying here. It's bloodshed. And he goes on with him. AS THE LORD THY GOD LIVETH, I AM GOING WHERE YOU GO. AND HE taking takes him to Jericho. And he looks Jericho says no double portion yet. What is Jericho? The place of warfare. That's where Joshua met the captain of the host.
HE CAME TO JERICHO AND THE MINUTE HE STEPPED INTO JERICHO, A MAN MET HIM WITH A SWORD IN HIS HAND. AND HE SAID, "WHO ARE YOU?" HE SAID, "I AM THE CAPTAIN OF THE HOUSE [screaming] OF THE LORD. >> THIS IS THE PLACE OF WAR AGAINST THE DEVIL." >> How many want the double portion? >> There's a devil on the way.
THERE WILL BE OPPOSITION ON THE WAY. THERE WILL BE GOOD CHURCH MEMBERS TELLING YOU'RE CRAZY TO GO ANY FURTHER. >> THERE'LL BE SOME WHO SAY YOU ALREADY LOST EVERYTHING. PEOPLE ARE CALLING YOU CRAZY. YOUR SCHOOLMATES THINK YOU'RE CUCKOO. YOUR FAMILY THINKS YOU'VE LOST YOUR MIND. Never I'll never forget a lady in in uh Singapore, Filipino woman.
Her husband and her came to the service. I'm preaching in Singapore. Look to my right. The most elegant Filipino couple. I mean elegant. We're kneeling at the front. Just kneeling and praying and tears rushing down her cheeks. I said to the pastor, "Who is this couple?" He said, "This is the wealthiest man in Manila."
He owns a television station and he owns every bank in Manila. Every bank, the largest banks in the Philippines are his family's banks. He said he was very close to Marcos and now he's saved. He has banks in Los Angeles and New York and everywhere. Afterwards, he said, "Now, he wants to have lunch with you.
Would you, Satur?" Now, we're having lunch with him in a beautiful Japanese restaurant in the in the in the in that beautiful hotel called the Shangrila. The greatest Japanese food I've ever had in my life is in that restaurant. Every time I'm in Singapore, I go to the Shang Japanese restaurant.
And we're sitting there talking and on the way back, and now, of course, he tells me who he is. On the way back, he and the pastor are up front. And in the back is myself and David and the lady. She said to me, you know, she said, "I heard one of your tapes on on on the occult and and the dangers of the occult."
He said, "Yeah." She said, "You know, my husband and I had millions of dollars worth of statutes and uh uh uh all kinds of things, you know. They they paid for a lot of money." She said, "God told me to burn all of it." She said, "My husband and I destroyed close to what what did they say?
Over a million dollars worth of of art and things." And when she said that, I thought and then and then she said, you know, she said, "Many of my friends in Manila think I've gone crazy." Uh some some said to her, "Why don't you just melt the thing and sell it?"
She said, "I don't want to touch anything that belongs to the devil." Hallelujah. >> See, in her eyes, I'm going all the way out for God. Like Elijah, burnt it all and turned her face and said, "No more." >> She says, "I have been persecuted, called names. My family thinks I've lost my mind."
She said, "Many actually came to her, try to change her mind, tell her, let me counsel you. What you're doing is not right." Those places all happen at Bethl. major decisions. Are you hearing me? >> You may have lost your job, your home. You may have lost everything you had and you're at Bethl.
But I have news for you. Jordan is just around the corner. >> Somebody [laughter] say, "HALLELUJAH." >> THE DOUBLE PORTION IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. >> OH, IT'S TOUGH NOW. I KNOW IT'S HARD WHERE YOU ARE. AND AFTER YOUR FRIENDS call you cuckoo, you have a devil to fight >> in Jericho. >> But when you get to Jericho and the devil shows up, know this.
The captain is there with a sword already. >> JESUS IS THERE >> TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLES. Jericho is the place of spiritual opposition. >> It's what? Place of what? >> Spiritual opposition. >> Place of what? >> Spiritual opposition. Now, now I I want you to say this after me.
Say, Gilgal >> Gilgal >> is the place >> is the place >> of religious >> religious >> opposition >> opposition. >> Bethl >> is the place >> is the place >> of friends >> of friends >> and families >> opposition >> opposition. You know who he found at Bethl?
His friends, the prophets. Did you read earlier in 2 Kings verse three that the prophets were there in at Bethl and said, "Oh, don't you know your your your master is gone today?" They were all his friends there stuck in Bethl. Now, God spoke this to my heart.
Look at me, please. He said, "At Bethl, uh at Gilgal, you'll find religious activity. At Bethl, you'll find family activity. friends will say, "Come with us now. Let's do what we used to do." He said, "At Jericho, you'll find demonic activity." God said, "I'll take you out of religious activity, from that opposition to family opposition to satanic opposition."
And when you get to satanic opposition, you may think, "Dear God, I'm going in the wrong way. This is not everything is going wrong." [screaming] He said just beyond beyond satanic opposition is victory. >> First the religious nuts will oppose you. The Pharisees, those who are comfortable in little be in little Gilgal that have lost the supernatural are just going in circles.
They are the kinds that talk about power and having got none. At Bethl you got friends that'll tell you, "Let's stick around here." But God says major decision. The hardest decisions are going to come your way when it comes to who to choose between God or family. He who loves father or mother more than I is not worthy of me.
That's what Jesus said. Are you hearing me? >> Major decisions for life come at battle. AND THEN YOU REACH JERICHO THINK, "OH MY GOD, I'VE LOST MY FRIENDS. I LOST MY FAMILY. AND NOW I MAY LOSE my life because the devil is here. Anybody got that far with this thing? >> How many are at satanic opposition? >> Come on.
How many are there? Now you're very close to your double portion. >> Say hallelujah. >> HALLELUJAH. >> SAY WHEN I GET >> WHEN I GET >> TO SATANIC >> TO SATANIC >> OPPOSITION >> THE DOUBLE PORTION >> IS ALMOST THERE. >> ALMOST THERE. WELL, SHOUT HALLELUJAH. GLORY TO GOD FOREVER.
((applause)) MAN, I tell you, Wednesday morning or Tuesday night, I had a dream and and in it, I saw my I saw me. I saw me with a loaf of hot cooked bread. And God said, "That's what I have for OC." >> I see it's already starting. YEAH. AT JERICHO, HE FACES OPPOSITION FROM DEVILS.
Cuz that's exactly what happens at Jericho. AT JERICHO, JERICHO IS THE PLACE OF SPIRITUAL BATTLES AND SPIRITUAL OPPOSITIONS. IT WAS THERE THAT THE WALL [screaming] CAME TUMBLING DOWN. IT WAS THERE THEY WALKED AROUND THE WALL AND BLEW THEIR TRUMPETS WITH PRAISE. HOW DO YOU FIGHT AT JERICHO? YOU FIGHT WITH PRAISE. >> YOU FIGHT WITH WHAT? >> YOU FIGHT WITH WHAT?
((cheering)) YOU FIGHT WITH WHAT? [screaming] >> Let me tell you in Bethl there was surrender and decision. But at Jericho there's praise. That's where you say that's where God says I'll fight for you. You just walk around that that city and just praise me. go around saying, "I'm here almost.
I I Lord, thank you for my double portion. I'm almost there. >> Lord, I HAVE BEEN CALLED AND I'M A WARRIOR AND I'LL WORK HARD. YOU'RE JUST LIKE ELISHA AND I CAME THROUGH GILGA AND I'M THROUGH WITH THAT JUNK OF RELIGION >> AND THAT'S WHY I'M IN OC.
LORD, ((cheering)) >> it's where most of you came out of. You came out of Gilgal >> AND NOW LORD MY FAMILY THINKS I'M NUTS TO ATTEND THIS PLACE. >> That's Bethl for you brother. >> WHEN I GOT HERE THE FIRST THING HAPPENED IS THE DEVIL HIT ME IN the face. >> And I wanted to hide but this boy Ben told me to fight. >> Glory to God. >> So I'm no longer scared of the devil.
He's nothing but a pipsqueak. >> He's the wimp. I'M A MIGHTY MAN OF WAR. ((cheering)) >> I'm a mighty warrior. ((applause)) >> JIM SONAR LORD SINGS. WE'RE WARRIORS AND I BELIEVE THIS STUFF. >> WHEN CANCER COMES, I STOP IT. >> WHEN SICKNESS COMES, I RESIST IT. >> That's Jericho. >> It's a Jericho going to attack with everything come.
Oh Lord, Jericho is the place of opposition from Satan. He'll attack your finances. He'll attack your body. He'll attack your mind. HE'LL ATTACK YOUR HOME. HE'LL ATTACK YOUR MARRIAGE. BUT that's the place to say, "Uh-uh. I'm not staying here." >> THERE IS A DOUBLE PORTION JUST beyond that road down here.
Say hallelujah. GLORY TO GOD. AND ELISHA SAID, "I AM [screaming] NOT STAYING HERE. AND NOW HE SHOWS up at the Jordan. And when he gets there, you know, the Lord said that to me yesterday. He said, "At Gilgal, I fought for you to get you there to teach you a lesson.
At Bethl I fight with you, but at Jericho I'll fight through you. >> AND NOW HE [screaming] YOU'RE YOU'RE AT THE JORDAN. So what happened there? I'll tell you next Sunday. >> These are the last days.
