So good. You're so good. You're just so good. Jesus at the center of it all. Jesus at the center of it all. >> Well, hello Bethl. What a privilege to be with you tonight in um a moment I don't think I've ever been in uh a tender moment for our church.

Um if you have had a chance, I would uh recommend that you go and listen to our 10:30 service. It was a moment of great humility uh repentance on behalf of this house and our leadership team. And I I want to encourage you if you're part of our house to go and uh listen to that to catch the heart of uh the fathers of the house and what god is doing in us. >> Um >> and tonight >> and that repentance is in response to some just a handling of a a minister that had been in our pullpit that we wanted to handle in a correct way just to make sure that >> people know that that's what we were working through.

Um >> uh yeah. So I want to just make sure sometimes our minds run wild with what are we repenting for and it's in connection just to a minister that had been in our platform that we felt we needed to address adequately that we had not adequately addressed. >> Yeah. >> So but tonight >> tonight I um you know I started thinking like what do people do in moments like this? >> Yeah. >> And uh I felt from the Lord it's we just fall on our face and we worship. >> Yeah.

Um, you know, God draws near to the humble. He opposes the proud. He opposes uh the pride in one's heart. But if we can fall on our face before Jesus, search me, oh Lord, and find me on my knees. >> Yes. >> I believe that's the posture of tonight. uh the posture of a a humble um a group that haven't got it all right but we are like search us God know us God >> and find us in a humble place on our knees worshiping you trying to seek your face not our reputation >> absolutely you know I think um Chris has released this word and I think many of us have been carrying something similar about a winnowing fork and when John the Baptist says that Jesus will come with the winnowing fork which is really this fork that lifts up the wheat into the wind and the the chaff at that point is exposed and it it comes off to you know to kind of cleanse and purify and you know I think none of us are exempt from the wind of the Lord coming to to touch our lives and to refine us and to adjust us and I um I just think in the fear of the Lord.

That is where you find that's the beginning of wisdom and standing before at the end of the day what we have to respond to in our lives is no other voice but his asking if we were faithful and um and so I think today we get to come into the presence of the Lord and it's in his presence I was thinking in of 2 Corinthians 3 that we with unveiled faces because the law is no longer on us we are beholding his glory and we are being transformed that's what that script being transformed med uh into his likeness.

And so I just think tonight is such a uh I think many people will be in different places. Some will be feeling freedom and lightness. Others will be in a deep and sober moment. Others will be in a processing place. But ultimately, it's in the light of his face. >> Yes. >> That we find our clarity.

We find our peace. We find our vision. And so tonight I I just feel like what a privilege that in all of the ups and downs of life and the tensions that we face that his face is ever constant. He is our everpresent help in time of need.

You know Psalm 121, I lift my eyes to the hill. Where does my esar my help? The one who comes in a time of battle. Where does my aid come from? And it and that's what we get to do today. We get to ascend the hill and see this king of glory who remains ever faithful to us. >> Beautiful.

And I was thinking like um so many of you love us and um just to take you a window behind the scenes of uh tonight even you know we had we we had something different planned and the senior leadership team and I was on the phone to Jen and on the phone to the fathers of this house and we really felt the response the correct response in moments like this is just to worship Jesus. uh not in a sense of avoidance.

We we um spoke so beautifully and directly into a situation, but this is an act of humility. And I just love the pivot that's happening tonight. It feels um uh authentic and and uh so I'm excited to worship Jesus and be on my face. It's >> Yes. Um and we want to enjoy uh invite you to be part of that.

Um these moments uh we get to offer a fragrance unto the Lord in our brokenness and our humility. >> Um and uh I would love to uh see myself and my children in moments like this and say what would you do? We worship Jesus. >> Yes. Yes. In our brokenness, in our repentance, in our um humbleness, we chose not to defend.

We chose to worship Jesus on our faces. Um I'm going to bless you. We're going to pray for you and we're we're going to head in to service in a moment. But >> Hails, do you mind praying for our online family that >> this global family that we'd say, "Hey, we're part of this community.

We're part of this group. We're in the room with you." >> Yes. Yes, Lord, we just we thank you. We thank you as the temple was opened and they declared that the Lord is faithful and his love endures forever. That that Lord, we just thank you that your love never changes, that your love endures throughout the ages, that uh that God, you are worthy of our praise.

And today, Jesus, we we come as sheep, remembering you are the good shepherd, and that we look to you, good shepherd. You prepare uh a table for us. You lead us through the valley. You bring us by still waters into pastures, Lord. You anoint our heads with oil, and you cause our cup to overflow.

And Lord, we we recognize day by day that it is your mercies we need every morning. And we thank you Lord for your faithfulness. I thank you Lord that you are faithful when we are faithless. That you are unchanging. That you are the author and the perfector of our faith.

And so God we come to you as little clay jars as empty vessels. And we say, Lord, we thank you that you fill these vessels with your beauty, with your love, with your grace, with your mercy. And Lord, I just pray, God, that your mercy would overflow on us today.

Lord, that people facing impossible circumstances, people facing tension and hardship, people that are in place, God, of questioning, Lord, I thank you that you know that you are the God who weeps with those who weep, and you rejoice with those who rejoice. And so Lord, I thank you that there's no limitation to you today.

And we just welcome you, King of glory. We welcome you, high king of heaven. We say, "Search us and know us, oh God. Show us, Lord, any way that is offensive to you and lead us along your paths, God, which are mercy and truth. Lead us, Lord Jesus, because we trust your leadership and we love you."

And God, all those that are watching online, I just I just pray God that you would just bless them, fill them, meet with them today, speak cuz your words are life. We thank you, Jesus, for your presence, for your love. Amen. >> Amen. >> Amen. >> Love you guys. >> Only one.

What a masterful reflection when we are unified. Truly celebrate each other and let go of our pride that you would have a spotless bride. Oh, praise the father and praise the son. Holy Spirit, make us one, every nation, tribe and tongue. This is our cry. Your kingom come.

Yes, Lord. We surrender our agendas, our preferences, our plans. But would you help us work together to be your feet and hands? And our heart is just to know you and to show them who you are. And that the gospel still the answer for every searching heart. Oh, praise the father and praise the son.

Holy Spirit, come make us one from every nation, every tribe and tongue. This is a crime. your kingom gone. Let your kingdom come. Cuz we are brothers and sisters under the bann of your name. We're mothers and we're fathers under the better of your name. We're all just children.

Feel free to come up to the front and worship it. Um, it has been a a beautiful and tender day of frankly repentance and grace and deep conversations, all the important stuff to the body of Christ.

And so I'm just grateful for the Lord. I was telling the team just moment by moment just the uh the kindness of the Lord in as I was with you with God's people and um just feeling the presence of the Lord and the tenderness of the Lord and frankly the fierceness of the Lord as well.

And so why don't you go ahead and stand? I'm going to read scripture and and then uh Richie's going to jump in kind of Hold on. I got to put the reading glasses on. Psalm 95. Oh come, let us sing to the Lord. Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let us shout joyfully to him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God and the great king above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights on the hills are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Heavenly Father, you are a good God who gives good gifts and you are greatly to be praised.

It is our privilege to just be conformed into your image and your likeness. It is our privilege to be on mission with you the entirety of our lives to see people saved, healed, set free, >> bringing the kingdom, living in the kingdom. We thank you for this house, the the the the congregation, the the folks that serve on on um worship teams.

All it's all for you, King Jesus. All for you. And again, I I just declare again, you are faithful to your people. We have found you faithful time and time again. And today was yet another moment of your drastic, steadfast love, and we are glad that we are your people. >> Thank you, Dan.

Um, we are in a a sober moment as a church and um, if you have not had the chance to listen to the 10:30 streamed service, um, I want to encourage everyone that's part of our church community uh, online and in person that to go and listen to that.

It was a um a significant and pivotal moment where fathers of the house took uh repented uh for a mess that a external minister um has made that we had a level of covering over. And it was it was incredible to watch um uh fathers that are courageous enough to repent >> and a team that um loves enough to do this together. >> Well said. >> And uh we had something different planned tonight.

We um were going to do kind of what we did this morning. Uh and as we spoke as a senior leadership team and I called uh Jen and as we spoke uh we all felt that the right response uh to a moment like this is for us to uh fall on our knees and worship. um to fall on our knees and worship the Lord >> for uh to ask God, search us, God, >> search us.

If there is anything in our hearts, God, we we don't want to be the ones that um uh would would say, "Hey, there's a splinter in my brother's, but there's a plank in mine. God, search me, God. Know me, God. Anything." And I hope that my response would be that he would find me on my knees, my face on the floor, worshiping unto the Lord Jesus.

Uh >> that's the people we are. >> Uh and tonight is a night of elevating his name. In the midst of a difficult situation, we get to lift the name of Jesus up. Give him a fragrance. Give him give him this fragrance as a church community globally and locally.

Give him a worship. >> Tell him that he is still worthy. He is still wonderful. He is worth. He is the faithful one. >> He is the true one. And tonight I am excited that we get to do this together. We get to respond together. And so we're about to go into worship and uh this is an offering.

I want you to feel the moment. This is an offering that we give get to give to the Lord. Uh says everybody close your eyes. Freddy's going to lead us. But Holy Spirit, >> we humble our hearts, we come low. And God, we ask that you would search us >> and find us on our face worshiping you, Jesus.

Find us on our knees worshiping you, Jesus. You oppose the proud, but you give grace to the humble God. find us on our knees. Not just tonight. Not just tonight, God. I choose this day to be grateful. Lord, I give you praise with an open heart. I'm waking up to heaven.

I'm waking up to you. So, I choose this day. I choose this day to be grateful, Lord. I give you praise with an open heart. I'm waking up to heaven. I'm waking up to you for always being good. Thank you for your mercies that are new. Thank you in spirit and in truth.

But I kept having this uh picture of Joshua who crossed the Jordan into a promised land. And Joshua's name means Yeshua, the one that saves. And the Jordan is a place of crossing, a place of transision. And when Joshua crossed, he he went forward with courage to cross the river Jordan.

But another man came to the River Jordan. And his name was Jesus, which means Yeshua, the one that saves. And instead of having going across, he came down and he went into a humble posture and instead of the Jordan splitting and parting like it did with Joshua, the heavens split and the heavens part never to be sealed up again.

And I was so moved by Joshua's direction with courage and Jesus's direction with humility. And in those waters of baptism, he did not need to be cleansed for sin. For he was a spotless lamb. He was the perfect one. Why did he have to come low? Why did he have to choose humility?

But he was baptized for the sins of the world and this whole moment in the history of Bethl, if I have to bring it into what does this mean for me today? What does it mean for our congregation? God just keeps telling me, "Get low. Get low. Get low."

You think the way across the Jordan is courage and moving forward. And God says, "The way to the heavens is coming low, coming low, coming low, coming humble, coming humble, coming humble." And Aubry starts singing, "We cast every crown." What does that talk about? What crowns are they talking about?

It's talking about every accolade, every gifting, every my strength, every historical breakthrough I've had, anything that would bring me recognition, any crown that I've I'm not using my courage to get across. I'm using my humility to open up. and I put everything at his feet. And I wonder if you We're going to sing that again.

But I wonder if you would in a physical posture get low with me right now. And as you come down, for some of you a little older in years, you're going to have to sit on your seat. But for some of you that are able, we're going to get low to the ground.

And as you come down low, I want you to imagine our savior, his posture. He came down to the earth and made himself a child. He came low in the waters of baptism and through a posture of humility the heavens open. Oh God I cast my crowns. I want you if we could lead as a corporate every um accolade, every crown, let us put it at his feet as Aubrey just sings and leads us into this as we partner with her sound that is coming from her mouth.

Would we just come low? We fall down. We lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus. the greatness of your mercy and love. At the feet of Jesus, we fall down. We fall down. We lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus. the mercy and love at the feet of tears.

We are being transformed from glory to glory. Our transformation is dependent upon our contemplation. >> Our transformation as an individual, as a body, and as a body is dependent upon our contemplation.

We don't change by trying harder. We change by staring longer. We had a different plan for tonight, but the senior team and as we prayed, the best response in this moment, this time of repentance was to get on our knees and stare at Jesus. >> We're going to cross this river not through courage and moving forward.

We're going to cross this river by getting low. For the way forward is humility, and the heavens open to humility. I want you to put a hand on someone next to you. Maybe they even represent someone wrestling right now with their faith, wrestling with questions. I want you to just start to pray that the mercy of God would come upon that the mercy of God would come upon the people in this room.

The mercy of God would come upon the body of Christ. We pray Lord God that you'd just tip bowls of mercy, oh God. Jesus, we know the answer is you. Give us the courage to get out the way. Give us the courage to speak less and listen more. >> Give us the courage to come low. >> Yes, God. reading our local family.

Can you take a moment and can you start to intercede for our global family that are watching tonight looking in that watch this morning? Can you start to just intercede and declare the blessing of the Lord? The blessing of the Lord upon our global family watching from Germany, watching from Brazil, Australia, Texas, those affected by the situation that we're talking about, just God, I pray your glory, your mercy would come.

Just want to thank this team for pivoting and we didn't plan to do a whole worship night tonight, but they um had faith and it was unreal. was so beautiful. And um if you've in the room uh and you need ministry, we're going to have a ministry team up here.

And it was beautiful. With me, I've got Dave Harvey. He oversees the Bethl Leaders Network. So all the churches that are connected to Bethl globally around the world, the Bethl church plants and actually intentionally asked him to be here just to represent a covering for churches that would say, "Hey, we're friends with Bethl and we love Bethl and and uh just love that you're here tonight, Dave.

Thank you so much for being here, >> Rich. I love I love this house. We love our global family and it's an honor to run together with with people that are authentic and and people that are real and people that we all need the grace of God, don't we, right now?

Like the grace of God is undeserved and it's it's the most beautiful thing. I think we'd all be dried up twigs without King Jesus. And so, what a what an honor to walk with our incredible fathers and mothers and our team today. Um, yeah, I just want to encourage you.

God's doing something beautiful in our church. God's doing something beautiful in in many of the churches around the world. And we Yeah, we need King Jesus right now. >> You should read that testimony from the little child in kids church. just go to the SLT thread and just have a quick look.

Um, but uh I was thinking about our fathers and I said this tonight but um so much uh courage >> to repent and so much love to do it together in a team. Um, and it was a sobering moment, but like Dave said, it was a beautiful moment.

Very, very um, very sobering. And there was this child. Did you see it? >> Which one? We've got so many throats. >> Where's Gabe? Right here. This morning, a little boy named David in the fifth grade class was talking to his service leader and said, "It feels like today something amazing is going to happen with the whole church."

I think he was right. Thank you, God. Dave, I wonder if you could uh pray for uh our global family that would say, "Hey, maybe this is like a second home for you." >> Our um church leaders that would say, "Hey, Bethl um is a a reference for us that we we trust and we lean on. uh and our our Bethl churches out there.

Wonder if you could just with the heart of an overseer of that just >> release just love blessing um over those people. >> Yeah. Well, that little boy was right today. Today was an amazing day. I just want to pray with you right now. Just wherever you are, just put your hands out and lean back because right behind you is the waterfall of the father's love.

And it is unending and unceasing. It is very creative and it is beautiful. And so, Father, for everyone of our family who is watching, uh, for everyone around the world, God, our leaders, God, our fathers and mothers that are pioneering revival, God, we ask you for a fresh outpouring of your grace, a fresh outpouring of your humility, a fresh outpouring of your righteousness.

God, we thank you that you prophesied that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. So I pray even this week that you awaken your church. Everyone on this call who's listening, I pray you awaken them to your thoughts, to your attitudes, to your desires, to your generosity, to your forgiveness.

God, let your nature flow through us. And God, may we see a world even touched this week. May we even see a world impacted through our lives. Um in Jesus name we pray. Amen. uh if uh you would consider yourself part of this uh community, this online community or someone that watches us on the regular basis, we want to thank you so much for the trust you've extended to us and um I leave you just with this last thought and it's what's uh amongst our senior team and what we are feeling that um humility is the way forward. to get low on our knees and uh ask God's mercy, his grace, and his love to cover us.
