Bethel Church Service | Martin Smith Sermon | Worship with Martin Smith, Aubree Archibeck
Transcript
Right. >> Yes. We have the wonderful Martin Smith >> sharing a word, leading us in worship with Aubrey uh to exalt the Lord. And so I know I'm personally just really excited to receive uh tonight. So >> I know some of you might have been with us this morning.
Martin was um actually leading with the Mccclur for the 10:30. And so if you joined us to worship, you would have already had I would say I don't know a little a little taste uh a taste of heaven. in um I walked in during soundcheck and I heard a song that was actually really really dear to me um last year just in soundcheck and I'm like oh I can feel the emotion um just as I experienced the presence of God and um I don't know where you guys are tonight maybe you're in your living rooms maybe you're in the car maybe you're on um a train traveling in Europe somewhere wherever it is I just pray that the Lord would meet you in such a radical way um if you were with us this morning.
Maybe maybe you can throw it in the chat. Maybe you can let us know um what you're expecting God to do tonight. I just feel a lot of hope. I feel a lot of joy. >> Yes. >> I feel a lot of joy. >> Yes. I just came from our pre-ervice prayer time and joy was really breaking out actually in the room and so it was so beautiful and we're just so excited.
If you actually if this is your first time with us, welcome. Um also would just love to put in the chat where you're from so we can just say hello to you. We really try to cultivate an atmosphere of um just connection here with you guys. So, just wanted to say hi to everyone.
Uh we're just so excited that you're here with us tonight. >> Totally. It was actually really fun this morning. Um when I drove up the hill, I had shared in our connect this morning that I kept hearing like joy comes in the morning and when I was in worship, I was sitting next to Ja.
I guess I was standing next to Jamila and we were like stirring up and like uh stirring up these wells, you know, and just just trusting that God was bringing joy in these places and in prayer. We were singing the exact song like the same song and people were doing the exact motion.
I'm like, "Oh, God's about to do something in joy." And uh I feel like Martin carries joy in such a radical measure and every time he's here, it's like a a sovereign holy um place of of worshiping God. And then at the exact same time, a wild dance party.
It's like every time I'm like, "Oh, bring out the flags. Get your dancing shoes ready to experience just the joy of the Lord." Um, I know people are starting to write in where they're from. Tasmania, >> we've got some Ohio. I'm going to be in Ohio next weekend.
I'm excited. >> Lori, hello, Lori. >> Oregon. Tisha from Oregon. Guys, when we look down, we're reading the chat. We're trying to connect with you guys. Kath, we see you in Alberta. I know Sue is from Irvine, which is from where you're from. >> An area. Yes. >> Well, yeah.
Close to at least. >> Close to where I'm from. Yes, it is. Hello, Sue. Welcome. Uh, welcome, Tisha. We're so excited that you're here. Um, and hello. Hi, Aaron. This is amazing just to see everyone and say hello. Yeah. >> Um, >> wow. >> So good. >> So good.
I just saw a quick testimony and then I want you to be able to read. I I know you were sensing something from the Lord. Um I just saw a testimony. Tim, I see you on Bethl online. He said, um I gave a word two weeks ago about sciatica and hip pain.
He said, "I was having horrible sciatica pain from making multifloor deliveries. I have not had any pain and still making deliveries since." Glory to God. Hallelujah. If you're joining us on um tonight and you came in with um issues with sciatica or hip pain, just take that testimony for yourself. um the the testimony is alive.
You know, if God was willing to do that for Tim, he's willing to do that for you. So, if you're struggling with hip pain, you came in um to this stream tonight and you've got any issues in your lower back or sciatica, we just command that to leave right now in Jesus name.
God, that you did it for Tim and that you would do it again for whichever one of our beautiful um our community who's watching online, God, that you would just um remove any and all pain right now in Jesus name. that you'd experience even just a relief, a popping off.
Um, and we'd love to just celebrate with you. So, if you experience any shift in your body, even if uh Alyssa and I are praying and you feel a shift in your body and it's not from something we prayed for, tell us, let us know. We'd love to celebrate what God is doing.
He is on the move. He's all around. He's touching people. I see Francisco in Brazil. Jared in San Diego, uh Patty from SoCal, Isa Isa, is it Issa from Colorado? like he's with every single one of us and he's on the move. Melissa, what are you feeling? >> Yes.
So, I just felt tonight to just read over us the word of God. I just really um this week I've been in the Psalms and >> I know >> I can't get out of them. >> Yes. So, so refreshing. And so, just wanted to just read over Psalm 27 over you and um yeah, I just wanted you to receive.
So sometimes at least when somebody's reading the word or I'm reading the word over myself, I just open my hands as a posture of just openness to the Lord, just saying, "Holy Spirit, would you come and would you minister to my heart and would the words of life feed my feed my spirit and feed my soul?" >> And so I'm just believing that the Lord would just minister to your heart tonight.
Uh I'm just going to read it over you guys uh right now. So if you just want to just position yourself in a posture to receive and this psalm they say was written by David. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life.
Whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord.
And if you just want to say that over yourself just as you declare, Jesus, I thank you that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his pavilion.
In the secret place of his tabernacle, he shall hide me. He shall set me upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me. Therefore, I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tabernacle. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also upon me and answer me. When you said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, Lord, I do seek." Do not hide your face from me. Do not turn your servant away in anger. You have been my help.
Do not leave me nor forsake me, oh God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will take care of me. Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries.
For false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord. Be of good courage and he will strengthen your heart.
Wait, I say on the Lord. Oh, well, I just I I know I just we took almost the whole time to read over that, but I just felt it just over you guys that the Lord is just saying over you to just wait on him today and that he will strengthen your heart.
And so, Jesus, I just want to pray that over you. um and just receive uh for you to receive that. So Jesus, I thank you. I thank you God that we get to wait on you as a house. We get to wait on you individually. Lord, I thank you God that we get to seek your face.
So Jesus, I thank you that as um this online community, Lord, we thank you that we are seeking your face, God. And Lord, we are beholding you, Lord. And I just thank you. I thank you for every person, Lord. And I just thank you um for just courage to come over their hearts, over any situation that they are that are in their hearts that's troubling them.
God, I just thank you that they and we get to wait on you, Holy Spirit. Amen. >> Yeah, guys, we love you. Um we're going to go worship together again. We've got Martin Smith and Aubrey Archbeck leading us today. But we just pray that you would meet with God.
That this would be a place whether you're coming in needing comfort, whether you need um him to carry you, whether you need him to cover you, heal you, whatever it is that you have a space to come in to his presence and meet with the one true living God.
We love you so much. We'll see you after service. Well, good evening. 6 p.m. So good to see you. Tonight's going to be an absolute treat. Uh why don't you stand to your feet with me if you can? If you're here for and you're still remaining from the prophetic conference, can you just give me a little wave if that's you?
Look at you. It's such an honor and a privilege to host the nations. If you're from a nation other than America, can you give me a big shout? What a privilege. It feels like a taste of heaven having all the nations together in a room to worship. >> Uh if if this is your first church service or first Sunday night at Bethl Church, your first Sunday night at Bethl Church, I wonder if you just raise your hand.
Just keep it raised right now. I just want and look here if you can. I see my dentist friend. Uh, thank you so much for being here. Thank you so much for coming. Thanks so much for trusting us with this little Sunday night. We we we pray that God encounters you radically tonight.
And if you're able to, I would love if you came and met one of our pastors before you left this place and got prayer before you left this place. And I really trust if you're visiting tonight that God's going to encounter you in a significant significant way. Um, Bill always taught me this, but a connected room can connect to heaven.
And so, why don't you find two people around you, ask them where they're from, where they're from, why did they come, find out their name, and just greet them and just tell them thank you for being here. I like this. That's the sound of a healthy church. It's the sound of a healthy community. >> Why don't you join me and uh we're going to pray in a second.
Tonight we're going to do something unique. We're going to do something special. Uh we're going to do the offering right up front. We're going to so that because tonight's going to be a a night of worship and a night of response through the word and we have a dear friend that's going to do that.
But why don't you just pray with me? Say this after me. Jesus >> Jesus >> I'm here. >> Jesus >> Jesus >> flip the tables. >> Flip the tables. >> Jesus >> Jesus >> encounter me tonight. >> And then why don't you just welcome Bill. He's going to help the uh do the offering for us and good evening.
Is anybody ready to worship the Lord? That's the I am. Oh, we had such an How many of you were here this morning for any of this? Oh, man. Such a wonderful day. We're going to receive an offering. We're starting off so that we can turn this team loose and uh pull out all the stops.
And who knows, we may end by Thursday. We're not not real sure yet, but uh but we're but we're ready. All right, let's do we're going to do an offering reading. And uh so are the ushers ready and everything? Ush ushers, you got buckets and everything. All right, I want to do Can let's bring the sound all the way down and we're just going to have voices do an offering reading.
I want to do offering reading number Three. >> Three. The one you never do. >> You never do. Number three. How many of you are ready? You don't even know what it is, but you're ready. >> Are you ready? This is the transformational one. It's long. It's like Psalms 119.
It's not quite that long. Let's do number three. Let's make this decree with faith. Stir up your faith to believe God for transformation. I put an alarm on my phone that goes off at 7:14 every day to remind me of 2 Chronicles 7:14. If my people who are called by my name will h themselves and praise.
The reminder, God heal our land. So, we're going to go for that right now. Let's start. As we pray for new wells of revival, we pray for new economic wells in reading to be created. So Lord, we ask you for favor for our city with CEOs, government leaders and kings.
Firms that produce goods for the nations and provide new jobs for our people. Technology to establish new markets, energy sources, and efficient solutions to grow as a population. Laws and courts that measure with justice and the freedom of our land's constitution. Civil servants that encourage entrepreneurs and a media known for wisdom and truth.
Natural resources released, harvested, sold, and reproduced. education, books, and universities that develop mind molders who influence the influential. Capital to build small businesses that provide services, arts, and culture, attracting both young and old. Medical community known for integrity and excellence. Repentance from poverty mindsets, small thinking and envy.
Courage to recognize opportunities and make wealth. Abundance to bless the world and the prudence to save and invest. Revelation to pass on wealth to our children's children. So we declare that when the righteous prosper, the city rejoices. Hallelujah. >> You made it. you you know like you get a bonus an extra star on your crown.
Let's give great generosity and uh go ahead and start passing the buckets now if you would. You can do it while you're standing and let's just give to the Lord. Tonight is today's a very special day uh for us this week has been so good prophetic conference. Thanks for all of you that served in it.
Thanks for all of you. My goodness. Do we still have a whole bunch of Germans here? Yes. I mean, we've still got they're they're taking over the planet. Yes, they are. At least they're taking over reading, which is great. Um, let's go ahead and give us unto the Lord.
But what I want to do right now is just introduce the evening. First of all, Martin Smith is with us. One of my favorite people on the planet. Thank you, sir. Thank you. We've got our team that I love so much, and they're going to lead us in worship.
And I tell you what, I often will tell our worship teams, "Take us to heaven and just drop us off. Just leave me there." They're going to do just that tonight. Then Martin is going to bring the word and then we're going to go back into worship. How many of you are ready for that? >> Turn to somebody and tell them to put on their seat belts and get ready.
And then we'll just turn them loose. Hallelujah. Hey, good evening everyone. This is amazing. I was told as a young worship leader that Never ever start an evening with a new song. All right. But tonight we're going to do a new song at the front. Okay. Okay. Come, let us return to the Lord.
Come, let us return to the Lord. We lost our way without you, but mercy brings us home. Come, let us return unto the Lord. Come, let us return unto the Lord. Come, let us return unto the Lord. There's an aching and a longing for more and more of you.
Come, let us return to the Lord. Holy fire purified within. For your love is greater than the sin. Here we are. We lift our eyes again. You are worthy. Worthy to be praised. Oh, and glory to your name. Let us return to the Lord. To the Lord. Come on over.
And come, let us adore the one we love. And come, let us adore the one we love. Our lives around the altar consume us once again. Jesus, you're the one we'll always love. Here we are. We lift our eyes again. You are worthy. worthy to be praised all the glory to your name.
Let us return to the Lord. Though he has torn us, he will revive us. Though we are broken, he will restore us. Come let us return unto the Lord. Beauty for ashes, darkness to light. Here in your glory, we are alive. Jesus, we belong to you. Hey, though he has torn us, he will revive us.
Though we are broken, he will restore us. Come let us return to you. Beauty for ashes, darkness to light. Here in your glory, we are alive. Jesus, we belong to you. Jesus, we belong to you. Here we are. Heat. Heat. Here we are. I glory to your name.
Come let us return to the Lord to the Lord. Return to the world. Oh la, return. I'm running cuz your arms are open wide. I'm running. to the one who saved my life. I'm running cuz your arms are open wide. Jesus, we belong to you. I'm running cuz your arms are open and wide.
I am running to the one who saved my life. I am running cuz your eyes are open wide. Jesus, we aren't. This is here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Oh n you're la my morning into dancing till my morning into dancing till I want you to dance. Maybe you guys could come and join us over here.
All the dancers. Yeah. Okay. It's very self-explanatory. All right. I'm running cuz you're open. I am running to the one to save my life. I am running cuz your eyes are open wide. And Jesus, we belong to you. I am running cuz your eyes are open. I'm ready to save my life.
I am ready. I am running Jesus to save my life. Cuz your eyes are open. Jesus, we belong to you. Jesus. Jesus. We belong to you. I've got joy in the morning, joy in the evening. You keep me dancing in every season. Whatever comes tomorrow, I've got joy.
Why would I not sing of your praises even when troubles come? Why would I not worship forever? Cuz I've seen the good you've done. And I'm not ashamed. I'm a sinner. Say, "No, I'm not afraid anymore. When the world comes furnish, you come freedom. No, I won't back anymore.
I've got joy in the morning, joy in the evening. You keep me dancing in every season. Whatever comes tomorrow, I've got joy. I'm letting go. I'm walk in your presence. Dance till the sun comes up. Hey, you make me strong whenever I'll praise you, Jesus. You fill my cup.

I got joy, joy, joy down in my heart. >> I've got joy, joy, joy down in my heart. >> I got joy, joy, down in my heart. >> I got joy, joy, joy, >> down in my heart. >> Hallelujah.
I got joy, joy, joy down in my heart. I got joy, joy, joy down. I got joy, joy, joy down in my joy in the morning. Whatever comes tomorrow, I got I got joy joy down in my heart. Joy joy joy down in my heart. Joy, joy, joy down in my heart.
Heat. Heat. Heat. I'm going to read from Isaiah 61. I need some vibe though. Come on, Dave. Here it comes. Yeah. Yeah. N The spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me. He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. Freedom for the captives, freedom for everyone.
That's why we have the joy. That there's a crown of beauty instead of in the ashes. Instead of sadness, there's a go of praise. There's a crown of beauty science. Hey, is there anybody here? Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Wow. If there's any confusion in the room, that is my garment of praise.
By the way, I know it's a little strange, but you know, I'm English. Don't you think it's an amazing gift to us that we can do that? We can celebrate and just jump around and be free in the love of God. It's a great gift. In all the earth will sh your praise.
Our hearts will cry. These bones will sing great. In all the year we'll shout your praise. Our hearts will cry. These bones will sing. Are you Lord in all the earth will shout your hearts will cry. These bones will sing praise you. You all will show your face.
Our hearts will cry. These bones will sing great. All the earth and all the earth will shout. My heart will cry. All the earth will Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Praise God. So we praise you God. Great are you Lord. >> So great. >> Come on.

These bones will sing. Great are you Lord. Great. I'll build an altar. You send the fire. Do what no other god can do. Open the heavens. Show us your power. There is no other God like you. Our lives on the altar. Oh, for your glory. Do what no other God can do.

Heaven and earth exalt you. Jesus, you are all You are Lord. You are the God. Not the God. This psalm talks about we're going to build an altar. Lord, would you send a fire? Do what no other god can do. You remember that story of Elijah on Mount Carmel.
All the other gods were wanting the fire to come, but nothing happened. only the God of all of creation could send the fire. I just wonder tonight if there's so many people in the room that are wanting a breakthrough tonight, wanting God to come through for them. I know for me, I'm standing here.
Lord, would you that thing I've been praying for, please? Would you answer these prayers, I put my heart on your altar tonight. Come on, let your fire burn. Come on, let's believe in faith. This fire's going to fall. I'll build an altar. You send the fire. Do what no other God can do. >> Open the heavens.
Show us your power. There is no other God like you. Our lives on the altar. All for your glory. Do what no other God can do. Open our hearts, Lord. Light up the fire. There is no other God like you. There's no other God like you. So even now, let the fire fall.
Let the fire fall. Let the fire fall on us. Let the fire fall. Let the fire let the fire fall on us. Let the fire fall on fire. Fire fall on us. Let it come. You are fire. Sarah Hendrickson, let the fire fall on you tonight. The fire fall.

You're the most important person here and I live to love you more. Heat. Heat. La. You're the most important person here and I live to love you more and more.
Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And I love you. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. You're des Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat up here. Wow. >> I could use this. >> Thank you, Mr. Flagman. Just going to read while Nick's playing. Well, Isaiah 43 or in America, Isaiah 43. I am the Lord, your holy one. Israel's creator, your king. This is what the Lord says. He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and the horses, the army and reinforcements together.
And they lay there never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick. Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing now. It springs up. Do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Amen. Hey, take a seat. I actually don't think I'm emotionally equipped to speak after that. Um there are many things I'm not sure about in my life. In fact, the older you get, we become less clear about a lot of things, don't we? But one thing I've grown in my confidence is that Jesus is absolutely the way, the truth, and the life.
And that has been my experience since a little boy, 8 years old, growing up in a a Christian home, but um no mention ever of the Holy Spirit or healing or stuff like that. And sometimes I have to like anyone have to pinch themselves thinking, "God, how on earth did I get from that 8-year-old child to being here being here with you?"
Uh, crazy lot. Singing out, singing in tongues, just in love, in love with Jesus. People say, "Well, what's the difference? you know, how do you do this Christian life? How do you stay in the game? Well, you you fall in love, don't you? >> And that's really it's him that draws keeps on drawing us.
Um well, look, sometimes you look at your notes and they look like absolute nonsense, don't they? uh you know in the context of the heaviness of the Lord and the Holy Spirit and but um hopefully what I'm going to say is encouraging to you. Um I want to say again how much this church has blessed me, my family, my children over the years. is we have four girls and two boys.
We have two grandchildren, one on the way. Um, and we're all fans and we we have your music on in our kitchen all the time. We love you. We love Bill. Thank you so much for being the man you are. Love you very much. >> And um Yeah.
Um I remember I don't know maybe it was almost 20 years ago now. I was in a music group and we traveled the world and it was a it was a miracle and uh but when it ended to be honest I was pretty lost you know it was my whole world and identity and you know since I went into the desert a little bit and uh it's people around the world like Bill like churches like this Bethl like you guys, so many friends here that have been a safe place to run to, you know, and so I really appreciate that.
Well, look, I know we all get excited about the new thing, that scripture, I'm doing a new thing, but there's always a change and transition to get to the new thing, isn't there? We don't just arrive at it like like we're teleported, you know, in a movie to our future.
There's change, there's process, there's friction, there's challenge, and it's painful as well. And there's a cost to moving forward uh that we don't really learn in school. Uh in fact, to move forward, you've always got to leave something behind. And so, you know, you remember the Israelites leaving Egypt.
They left their homes. They left the safety of food and provision. And um even though they were slaves, they they still it was safe for them. Does that make sense? It's interesting, isn't it? You can still be in slavery over something, but it represents safety to you. And the Lord always, his mandate always throughout the whole scriptures is to lead us out of that into freedom.
And the goal is always freedom. The whole gamut of the scripture, Jesus' message, his birth, his death, his resurrection, it's all about freedom. So last uh Wednesday um was the start of what we call Lent. All right. Um some of the Anglicans in here will be like, "Yeah, I know what that is."
Um anyway, it's a it's a period of 40 days that run up to Easter Sunday. Okay. And uh it's it represents a sort of a period of um you know introspection and confession and saying to the Lord I'm getting ready for your resurrection. Okay. And um the the time of Lent is closely associated with the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert after his baptism, preparing for his public ministry.
Uh it's not the only time the number 40 appears in scripture. Again and again, 40 marks a period of purification, testing, transformation. We see it, for example, in the 40 days of rain during the flood, the 40 years the Israelites wandered in the desert, Moses 40-day fast on Mount Si, and the 40 days given to Nineveh to fast and repent.
Uh, weirdly, this year is my 40th year um standing with a guitar trying to lead worship. um 16 years old uh in my youth group uh somewhere on the south coast of England. Uh very bad, out of tune, couldn't string two words together, very shy. Um and um I'm so glad that there were people around me that saw something and encouraged it, you know.
Um, I think often nowadays I think, "Wow, that 16-year-old kid then would never get on some of these worship teams. It he just wasn't good enough." Um, so, um, look out for those teenage kids that, you know, they just have something about them. Uh, and all the moms and dads here, encourage them, right?
Encourage them. Get behind them. Um, and even if their skill level is not that great, that doesn't really matter. They can learn that, but um, look out for the ones that you are humble. Um, so this period of Lent, it's an interesting time, isn't it? With what is all going on, you know, it's like we've gone into the desert a little bit and the Lent represents the desert.
We know that this season only lasts for a while and then we will reach a different season. Uh I can see for this church absolutely 100% you're moving into a new season and uh our challenges are actually the grace of God, aren't they? Don't you think sometimes we interpret challenges, problems, heartache as like, oh God, what are you doing?
Why are you doing this to us? Why are you doing this to me? This is not fair. But it's only down the road and we can sometimes look back and we say, "Oh, yeah, that was the grace of God." um because it unstuck me and it moved me on.
And so I can see that and um you know I I don't believe this is going to be a reboot or a revamp. This will be a rebirth. And uh you just don't want another version of the same, do you just want to be reborn? And um I know the Lord's going to do some amazing things amongst you.
Um so don't be afraid of transition. Um you know I often think of the analogy of you know the school bus and you got the driver at the front and then you've got all these people on the bus. Uh but sometimes in a period like this of transition, everyone gets moved around on the bus.
All right? And those that are in the wrong positions get moved to another seat. And sometimes, you know, people move around and that is actually a healthy process. And it requires a lot of humility. And um because again, just to remind you, this is all about freedom, isn't it?
It's all about moving forward. Um, so what is transition? The process or a period of change from one state or condition to another. Um, a quote from a guy called Ralph Emerson, he says, "Not in goals but in transitions are people great." So it's not in the achieving things that we're made great.
But it's how we cope in these situations that makes us great. Does that make sense? Uh because it's the hardest thing. It requires such a high level of humility uh with everybody in the room. Um, so change, especially in these complex times, can seem like launching out from a riverside dock to cross to a landing on the other shore only to discover in midstream that the landing is no longer there.
Anybody experienced that? And when we look back at the other shore, we see that the dock we left from has just broken loose and is heading downstream. We can't go back. And often we don't know where we're going. Uh I've felt that many times. I can't go back because that place doesn't exist anymore, but I don't quite know where I'm going. and I'm in the boat in the middle of the river and I'm a bit wobbly because I don't belong anywhere.
Um, but isn't that amazing? That's where the Lord meets us, isn't it? Uh, you know, the story of Jesus on the lake, you know, walking on water. He's always there. Um, I guess this is the nature of following God. We have to let go of the old thing before we can pick up the new.
Not just outwardly, but inwardly. Um, this is a time of it's just a time of healing, isn't it? Some heart surgery, bravery, courage, discipline to keep facing forward into the wind, knowing that God is in control. Um Hebrews 12 11 says, "For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant.
Later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it." 1 Peter 5 8 says, "Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world.
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who has called you to this eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you. And I said the other day that a a church that so wonderfully, beautifully, powerfully puts the presence of Jesus first. will survive any storm.
And you know what we just did for the last hour and a bit, it's it's what Christians do, isn't it? It's what we do. We sing our way out of trouble. And I'm reminded of the Jehoshaphat story where the Israelites are about to be invaded and they're about to die.
And Jehoshaphat pleads like, "Lord, where are you? Where are you?" Um, we don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you. And that's a great place for a human being to be, isn't it? We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you. And of course, there was a breakthrough, and the Israelites went on and won that battle.
Um, so we can't go around the desert, can we? We have to actually go through it. Like the story of the Israelites, it's a time of personal transformation. I'm sure for each person in this room, this is a chance not to look out and criticize and blame and think, "Oh, the problem's somewhere else."
But this is really a chance for all of us to be on our knees, say sorry to the Lord for what we've done, the things in our lives, the relationships, the family breakdown, the marriage breakdown, you name it. This is a time not to look out and blame, but to look in and say, "Lord, I'm sorry for the things I've done."
And this is a perfect time to do that. The the old-fashioned confession of sin. Um we don't really talk about that much about, you know, the Bible talking about confess your sins one to another and you will be healed. Um, you know, if you're if you're here and you're really looking for a breakthrough even in healing, sometimes sometimes not the mystery of God is bigger than all of these things.
Sometimes something will come to us in our conscience and in our hearts. And so we we know we need to say sorry for something, you know, get with a friend and confess that. It's a powerful thing. Confess your sins one to another and you will be healed. And this is a time for that.
We uh Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. People, you can't go back. You got to go forward. It's time to consecrate our hearts again. He is here.
He is the Lord. Surely you are the Lord. Why don't we just bow our heads together? Let's just pray. Lord, we invite your presence as always and where I have very inadequately explained this process. Lord, we know that you are here. You are here. And maybe you can just put your hands out in front of you.
Just say, "Lord, I give you my life." Maybe it's even for the first time tonight that you open your heart to Jesus. Some of you may be on the other end and old and cynical and right here you're just Lord, I'm sorry. I don't want to be a spectator.
I want >> I want to give you my life again. So, we're just going to wait on the Lord for a little bit. Okay? If there's anything that comes to mind, just begin to tell him you love him. Tell him you're sorry, that you need him. Heat. Heat.
We exalt you. We exalt you. We exalt you, oh Lord. We exalt you. We We exalt you. We exalt you, oh Lord. And we exalt you. We exalt you. We exalt you. Come on. Can we stand together? And we exalt you. We exalt you. We exalt you. We We exalt you.
We exalt you. Yes, we exalt you. We exalt you. We exalt you. >> Come on, Antonio. So, would you play over these people? Come on. Praise God. Happy. Yes, we exalt you. We exalt you. We exalt you. is we are Heat. Heat. Oh yeah, we are you. Heat.
Heat. Can you hear us? Can you hear us? Oh, we are worthy of it all. You're worthy of it all. For you are and to you are you deserve. Hey, you are worthy. Oh, you are worthy of glory. For from you all things and to you are all things.
You deserve the we don't you come on. Yes. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up chapter 6. Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces, but he will heal us. He has injured us, but he will bind up our wounds. After two days, he will revive us.
On the third day, he will restore us that we may live in his presence. Let us acknowledge the Lord. Let us press on to acknowledge him as surely as the sun rises. He will appear. He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.
As surely as the sun rises, he will appear. He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. It's Come, let us return unto the Lord. Come, let us return unto the Lord. We lost a way without you, but mercy brings us home.
Come, let us return unto the Lord. Come, let us return unto the Lord. Come, let us return unto the Lord. There's an aching and a longing for more and more of you. Come, let us return to the Lord. only fire purified within. For your love is greater than here we are.
We lift our eyes again. You are worthy and worthy to be praised. Oh, the honor and glory to your name. Come, let us return to the Lord. To the Lord. Come, let us adore the one we love. And come, let us adore the one we love. Our lives around the altar.
Consume us once again. Oh Jesus, you're the one we'll always love. Here we are. Here we are. We lift our eyes again. You are worthy to be praised all the glory to your name. Come let us return to Though he to he will revise. Though he broke, he will restore us.
Come let us return to the Lord. Beauty for ashes, darkness tonight. Here in your glory, we are alive. Jesus, we belong to you. Though we torn, the sea will revive us. Though we are broken, he will restore us. Come, let us return to the Lord. Beauty ashes, darkness to light.
Here in your glory, we are alive. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Okay. Yes. And amen. So this is next bit is like a musical altacic call. All right. I don't know what that looks like but just singing these words is going to be a moment of consecration.
Okay. A moment of surrender. All right. Knowing our father God is with us. He carries us. He's running. He's He's running to find us. Amen. So, there's some space down the front if you want to come down here. I'm running cuz your arms are open wide. I'm running you run to save my life.
I'm running cuz your arms are open wide. Jesus, we belong to you. I'm running cuz your arms are open. I'm running to save my life. running your eyes. I am I Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Here we are. Here we are. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat.
Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Jesus. Jesus, >> you're the way. You're the truth. You're the laugh. >> You're the narrow gate. The one that we're walking towards, running towards. You're our hope. You're our future. You're our strategy, Jesus. Oh, it's in you we find life. It's in you we find destiny.
It's Jesus. It's always been simple, but it's always cost me everything my life. Jesus, you died for me. Jesus, you made a way for me. Jesus, you were resurrected for me. Jesus, you ascended for me and you sent another for me. Jesus, you are the generous, generous one.
Oh my Jesus, I'm desperately, wildly in love with you, Jesus. And as fast as I run into your arms, you're running faster. You're running harder. You're climbing over every mountain and every obstacle. You're doing everything you can to get to my heart. Jesus, why don't you call on the name of Jesus right now?
Just start to call on his name. It says that all that call on the name of Jesus will be saved. God, we needed saving when we first met you. God, we call on your name again. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. If you're far from God, if you don't know Jesus and you found your way here, let me tell you, if you call on his name, if you run to him, he is running not to reject you.
This gospel is one that shouts, "This is my son with whom I love and I'm well pleased." Jesus is this close to the unbeliever. this close to the one that's far from him, waiting for them to call his name and he comes within. If you would say to me, Rich, I'm I'm far from God and somehow I found my way amongst these crazy ones here today.
I want to run into the arms of Jesus. I wouldn't know even what would happen to me if I passed away today. If that's you and you're like, you know what, I need Jesus. I need him. I'm far from him and I need him. I want to call on his name.
That's you. When I count to three, I want you just raise your hand. One, two, and three. As high as you can. Thank you, Jesus. Someone over there. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. I see you. I see those hands. See that hand? Let me tell you, as you run to him, he's running faster to you.
Put a hand on someone next to you. I want you to pray for their those that do not know Christ and their family. Pray for a great harvest. Pray for a great harvest in their family. Brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, run to Jesus. Run to Jesus. This isn't just about a transition in a church world.
This is about a transition from death to life. From death to life, spiritual death to spiritual life. Lord God, those that are far from God, I declare this is a harvest season. Brothers, sisters, coming to the Lord. We declare God, not by might, but by your spirit would you draw them.
Not by might, but by your spirit would you draw them. I want you to turn your prayers now to the global church. Uh believe the Lord so loves his bride. So loves the bride of Christ that his eyes are not of condemnation but his eyes are of grace and love to the bride of Christ.
Once you put your hand on someone next to you, start to pray for the body of Christ right now, the church globally. God, we bless the bride. We thank you for a spotless bride. We thank you for a purified bride. But we think of the churches in Germany, the churches in Denmark, the churches in England, the Anglican church, the church of England.
We think of St. Paul's where Martin is from. We we think of our friends across the pond. God, we think of the body of Christ in India, the body of Christ in Sri Lanka. We thank you, Jesus, for all those in Australia and Bethl Sydney there. ing. God, we thank you, Jesus, for our friends in New York.
God, bless the body of Christ. Bless the body of Christ, Lord. And we pray for great unity. John 17 says that he gave us glory so that we would be one as he is one. And then the world will know that Jesus came from the father. We pray for unity in the body.
You gave us glory so that we would become one as you you are one with the father. John 17 says we pray for unity in the body. We thank you for the oil of unity that would break division that would break division that would break a divided church.
And we thank you for a united bride. We need the earlobe. We need the nose. We need the elbow. We need the ankle. We need all of the body of Christ. The big toe, the belly button, all of it. God, give us eyes of honor to see his bride.
Such a privilege. Thank you so much. What a dear friend you are, Martin, to this house. And thank you so much for being with us during this time. We love you. We absolutely love you. One of the joys we have at Bethl is we get to host the nations.
Many of you have traveled from far to be here just to be in the room. It's such a humbling thing. It's such a humbling thing. Um we want to create a space that you would have an encounter with the Holy Spirit. We want to create a space where there's a miracle needed in your body.
We would stick out our fat hand as John W would say and we just stick it upon you and say in Jesus name be healed. So if you're here and you're visiting or you've traveled from far to be here, we have a ministry team that comes up front right now and we're going to stick out our fat hand and we're going to say, "Holy Spirit, come."
And we're going to trust that the power of God marks you tonight. And if your body needs healing, God heals your body. If you're watching online, we bless you. We bless you that you would run to Jesus. And we love you guys. So, ministry team, why don't you come forward?
We've got guests from all over the world that have come here that are ravenous for Jesus and they're going to end up meeting our ministry team. I want you to stick your fat hand out and say, "Come, Holy Spirit, and pray for miracle. Pray for healing. Pray for encounter."
The ministry team, come forward if you can. >> Hello. Hello online community. Wow. >> Yeah. Unbelievable. Um I I love how Richie just even shared and we were just singing about running running to the father, running to him. And I was reminded of Luke 15, the story of the prodigal.
And I I'm just going to read it because I felt like there were people who are watching who might feel far from God. Maybe you feel like you're watching this and he's not for you, that you've got too many things in your past, too much sin that would keep you back.
It says in Luke 15:18, "I will arise and go to my father, the son says, and I will say to him, father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants." And he arose and came to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion and ran. Some of you need to know that the father chose to run to embrace his son. It says he ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.
I am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants, "Bring quickly the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet, and bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate.
For this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found." And they began to celebrate. And I want to say to you, whoever you are, wherever you are, wherever you're watching from, if you feel far from the father, if you feel too far gone, Jesus came for you.
He came and he died so that you could be reconciled back to the father. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and the only way to the father. And he's willing to run to you. And so, if that's you and you're thinking, "Oh my gosh, I had no idea Jesus would do this for me."
He's willing. He was willing. He is willing. He didn't change his mind about what his cross and his broken body paid for. He paid for you. So that's you wherever you are. I just want to say the father's running to you. He loves you. And you can respond.
The savior of the world, his name is Jesus. And if you want to have a relationship with him, you can just pray and say, "Jesus, I need you. Jesus, I've been broken. I've sinned against you, but I ask for your forgiveness. Would you come into my life?" If that's you, you can write it in the chat.
We'd love to pray with you. We'd love to encourage you. We'd love to welcome you into the family of God. Salvation is beautiful. It's powerful. It's lifech changing. And as we were singing about this, I I saw in the room all these people running to God. Just running full of freedom, full of love, full of joy.
And maybe you came in here feeling the opposite of those things. >> God God loves you. He'd love to take your heaviness. He would love to take your your self-hate. He would love to take emptiness. He would love to fill you with hope. He'd love to fill you with himself.
He's for you. And so, if that's you, we'd love to pray. I see um some of you putting on there, Justin, we bless you. We'd love for you to come back into the family of God. You can repent and just ask Jesus to cover you. Oh, I'm looking on the chat.
Alice, I don't know if you're feeling anything else that you want to say. >> Just Yeah, I just want to echo what Cassie said that if there's just even >> you know the Holy Spirit sometimes the Holy Spirit moves on our bodies and >> there's that invitation. I think you know in your heart when the Lord is inviting you in to relationship and maybe you're sitting in the room thinking that's me, that's me.
You can just cry out to the father and he will come. Just say, "Holy Spirit, >> I thank you that you're here with me." >> And Jesus, we thank you that you sent your son to die on the cross for each person who is streaming in. Jesus, I thank you.
I thank you that we are as sinners and saved by your grace. So Jesus, and when you just say, "Jesus, I receive your grace and I repent >> for walking in the lifestyle I've walked." And I love that Martin um quoted James 5:16, "Confess your sins to one another so that you may be healed."
That is what the word of God says. And Jesus, I receive you. >> Yeah. >> As my Lord and as my savior. Jesus, I thank you for everlasting life. And God, I just thank you for everyone who prayed that prayer just right now. And God, I just thank you for even those that today is a great day to rededicate your life to the Lord to say, Jesus, you know what?
Maybe you've given your life to the Lord, but you've walked away from him. Today is the day. I just want to urge you. Today is the day of salvation. Today is the day that you get to say, "Jesus, I want to invite you fully. I want to live for you.
Would you fill me with your Holy Spirit? Would you fill me with your joy? Would you fill me with your peace? Would you fill me with your love? And I just pray, Holy Spirit, that you would fill them aresh tonight and touch every person who is in deep need of refreshment. >> Yeah.
Come on. I just saw a picture of people standing in their living rooms with their families as Alyssa was just praying and actually saying, "God, baptize us Aresh." And I saw the Holy Spirit filling you. And I don't know who you are. I think it might even be multiple families, but I saw people just standing in their living rooms asking, "Holy Spirit, would you fill me?"
God, right now, we pray that you would bring a fresh baptism that you would fill your sons and daughters, God. That you would move, you would move so mightily, God, that you would fill them in places that feel empty, that you would fill them in places that feel absolutely desperate and in need.
Holy Spirit, that you would begin to move, that you would fill your sons and daughters. God, we ask for it and we just release it in Jesus name. God, I even um as as we were in I don't know, worship or maybe when Martin was uh preaching um I started to just be aware of um my stomach and I I felt like there were people who came in tonight who had gut issues. whether you have um a gluten allergy or a a um inflammation in your gut or whatever it was.
And it it's like I saw this picture of honey dripping down um uh from from heaven. And and I saw things where people have issues eating certain foods and I felt like things that used to be bitter would be sweet. And I felt like there was going to be like a radical um shift in in the way that your your bodies process food.
And so if that's you and you've got a sensitivity or an allergy or whatever it is, God, I just bless their their guts. I bless their stomachs, Lord. I bless their intestines, God. I bless their colons right now in Jesus name, God. Anywhere where there's inflammation, we speak um just a release of peace, God, that you would come right now and that you would fill their bodies, God, that the honey from heaven would come and sweeten, God, any places that have been instable.
Yeah. If that's you, we just bless you in Jesus name. Amy, I see some of you are saying, "I have gut issues. I have issues, Leavonne and Jennifer." God, we just bless their guts right now. I even feel like um there's a mom on here and you've got a child and your your um your child hasn't been able to eat.
And God, right now, we just speak to that child. We just say be healed in Jesus name. Any areas where there's been issues um with reflux or um even just uh keeping things down, we just bless them in Jesus' name. even like esophagal problems, we bless their esophagus right now in Jesus' name. >> Amen. >> Thank you, God. >> And I'm also just feeling anybody that's been struggling with sleep, >> uh either you have um attacks in the night or you just can't get full breathing while you sleep, >> struggle with sleep apnnea.
So, I just wanted to pray for you because I just felt like tonight the Lord was healing that in people's lives. So Jesus, I thank you God for perfect rest. >> I thank you God as people sleep tonight, Lord, that maybe have had sleep issues for years and years.
God, today is the day that it ends. I just declare that over you. And God, I release full restful night sleep over people's bodies and over over their time, God. I pray for healthy dreams, Lord. And I just thank you. I thank you for the Prince of Peace.
I thank you for your peace to come and fill. And Lord, we just say open up the airways that need to be opened. Open up the breathing that needs to be opened. And Lord, I just pray for um just healthy breath while they sleep in Jesus' name. >> Come on.
If that's you, you can just say, "I receive that for myself." Uh test it. Test it. You You might notice a shift by morning, whatever that looks like. We just um I heard a testimony from someone was it earlier today? I don't know the guy who had um been healed of sciatic pain and he's had weeks where he's had no issues.
And so we're just believing the same thing for you guys that these words of knowledge would actually uh release healing and that whether it's tomorrow or in a day or two or whatever it is that you would experience that lifting off and that that thing not coming back.
I think that was the cool part of the testimony I saw earlier. He's had weeks where he's like, "I've had no issues." And so, we just thank you, Lord, for that. And we just say, "Do it again. Do it again, God. Do it again." Um, wow, what an incredible night.
I feel like I want to um like go to sleep listening to that worship set. I just want to like soak. Maybe that's not the best thing cuz I might start dancing. But um guys, we pray that that you've been so blessed by the Lord that he would minister to you, that he would minister to your families, that you would know that you uh love a God who is near.
He is he is not dead, but he is alive and he loves you. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. And so we just bless you, Bethl online community. We're so grateful that we get to run with you, that we get to do this together, running after Jesus, living to see heaven come to earth.
We bless you guys and we pray you have a wonderful week. We love you.
