Hello. Hello, Bethl online. >> Hi, guys. >> It's so great to see you. Um, we're really grateful to be with you today. Why don't you guys start out? I know so many of you are watching live. We can see the chat going. Why don't you tell us one thing you're thankful for today? >> Just a little something, >> a little something small.

I'm thankful I got to have lunch in between services with friends. >> We try to learn a new game. >> Was it good? >> It was terrible. Which game was that? We tried to learn maong. I know. It was crazy. We watched YouTube videos trying to learn. It was so hard.

But I'm thankful for friends who will try >> try new things. >> Yeah, exactly. What are you thankful for, young >> I'm thankful for my baby boy, Luca. He's 18 months and uh normally like after lunch, he struggles a little bit to go to nap and he did amazing today, which I was able not to take a nap, but I was able to rest a little bit.

It was amazing. I'm really really thankful for that. >> Hallelujah. If anyone else is thankful for a nap or that your kids are sleeping, throw that in the chat. We'd love to celebrate um just what you're thankful for. I think >> all all moms and dads, I know we we know that when our kids take naps, >> we we receive like like a refreshment from the Lord.

It's amazing. >> Some of you are thankful for sunshine, God's provision, thankful to be alive. Me, too. >> Come on. >> Today's been an especially beautiful day in Reading, California. I see somebody being thankful for Chinese food. Cassie, >> come on. >> Let's go. >> Okay. Someone is thankful for a good colleagues and manag managers who love them.

I'm thankful for good colleagues, too. Yan's here. Stephanie's here. We have the best team. >> I'm thankful for Cassie, honestly, because sometimes in the morning in the office, it's not everybody who knows that. Should I tell him? >> Okay, we got Cassie in silence now. >> Yeah. Yeah.

I'm thankful for Cassie because in the morning she comes carrying me in the building. >> I have a gift. I here's honestly I like to bring fun. Um especially on teams I think we need to have a little bit of joy in the office. So I do like to try to scare y Ally cash.

Ah thankful for my husband. Okay Ally and I used to live together. She got married. Hallelujah. God, we thank you for husbands and new marriages. >> Amen. >> Thank Jesus. Wow. So good. Yan, what are you uh what are you feeling like God's up to today? Is anything that we can get ready for?

You can keep writing what you're thankful for in the chat. We just love interacting, connecting with you guys. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, like something that I was I was chatting with Cassie a little bit before. I I think I'm still struggling with to find words honestly, but it's kind of like an alignment spirit, soul, and body that it's about to happen.

I remember once I went to the chiropractor >> and I was feeling so much pain in my neck and I remember that um the person started like to put their hands on my body and I was like, "Oh my goodness, now they're going to push. Now they're going to push.

I'm going to feel so much pain." And I started to feel the pressure on my body and suddenly I felt the pop. And actually the pain that I was expecting, it didn't happen. But a relief happened to my body. And I really feel that the Lord is doing that with us.

We're choosing the the the humble path. And the Lord, he's near. I I I can feel his face. I kind of like feel his breath on my skin. I I can feel his face close to us. And I believe that he's aligning us as a body. He's aligning us as a whole body of Jesus.

That's what I feel. >> I was um before we started this call today, I was starting to feel uh pain in my lower back. And oftentimes when I start to feel something in in my body, it's um a good indicator that it's a word of knowledge and that God wants to heal somebody.

And so, um I was telling Yan though, I was just in Ohio. I was in Springfield, Ohio, and I was talking to these two women and and one of the lady's daughters, and we were celebrating um the daughter. She was probably, I don't know, maybe 10, 11 years old, and she had just had a word of knowledge for these two younger girls that was right.

Um and I was like, "This is amazing. We're celebrating the word of knowledge." And um in a moment, I felt this pain in my in my back left um side. And I said, "This is so strange, guys, but do any of you guys have pain in your uh lower left back?"

And the lady looks at me, she goes, "Oh my gosh, that's me. Can you please pray for me?" And in a moment, um me and the other lady and the younger girl got around her and we started praying. She had an injury from um a birth nine years before and I think it was from her second child.

I think that's what the if I got that wrong, I'm so sorry. Um beautiful lady that I got to pray for. Anyways, we were praying and I'm on her right side and um was said something like realignment in Jesus name and she jumped in the air and she goes, "Oh my gosh, wow. >> Something just happened in my hips where some it feels like my body just got realigned and I'm like looking at her like what like what just happened?

We we literally were touching your shoulder. I had my Bible on her back. I remember um my Bible literally I remember just being like I'm going to pray with my Bible on your back and my hand right here and literally in a moment her entire hips and um lower back were realigned.

So if that's you and you came in with um issues. Oh yeah, Andrea has uh pain in your lower back God we just we just bless these lower backs and we say realignment in Jesus name. Just like what Yan was saying, if you um are needing realignment in um the physical, if you need that in your body, if you need that in your finances, if you need that in your spiritual life, you can just see God realigning things in your life.

Um God, we just release your healing. We release um realignment. We release uh the grace to actually go with the word. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel something about the back. Um not just like the lower back, but the upper back as well. like closer to the neck, you know, like the back is something really fundamental to our body to function.

If something happens in our back, we lose all the movements um from that point and and and below. So, I really feel that the Lord, he's he's aligning aligning. Oh my goodness. >> Aligning. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> He's aligning something in the spirit and in our lives, things that are fundamental that we think, "Oh, this is so important.

I really need to have this in alignment. I really feel that the Lord is doing something. >> There's something about businesses as well that I see the favor of the Lord coming in. I see the glory of God just coming in. And I feel something about um organs, internal organs, kidneys.

Um liver liver >> liver >> liver. >> Yeah. >> English is not my first language. Guys, >> you're doing so good. >> The Lord is good. He he he covers me. Hey, if you have a liver and it hurts too, you just take that. I'm just >> Yeah. >> But yeah, God, we thank you because God, you're in a good mood.

And we we command a healing to happen in their bodies right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Even those who are watching the recording of this service, Lord, we bless their bodies right now in Jesus mighty name. >> That's right. Even right now, if you're able to test your body, it was so cool when that woman jumped in there.

I was a little alarmed because at first I'm like, "Oh my gosh, you have bad pain." you know, you're just like, "Oh, shoot. Is that Are you okay?" And then in a moment, she's jumping in the air because relief has come. And so, if that's you, if you're struggling in any way, maybe you could test that uh test that out for us right now.

Um, >> thank you, Jesus. I know there's so many people who are asking um for prayer. Some people who are having issues in their hips. Some people um I know Johnny, I see you there with a uh your mom with a broken hip and um uh potentially a back as well.

Oh God, we just bless bless their bodies right now that they would come into alignment in Jesus name. >> Yeah. In Jesus name. And there's some a testimony that happened last week and I I feel that I was supposed to release that. I was training jiu-jitsu, me and another friend and a guy, he was complaining about his lower back.

So we measure his legs and the right leg was like this size shorter than the other. And we prayed and the leg grew out even though the pain was not completely gone but he felt such a relief. So, I want to release that testimony as well because Jesus, he's the same yesterday, today, and forever.

So, we release the healing power of Jesus over your bodies in Jesus mighty name. >> Amen. Thank you, God. Test your bodies. Um I even I I wonder the same thing if there's someone who's watching on here and you've had an injury from um a child birth and you've got issues in your tailbone.

Um right now, God, we just release your healing in your life, Lord. any places where uh trauma has um maybe during birth or after birth or whatever that was, but any places where trauma came in, we just rebuke trauma right now in Jesus name. A release of healing and life.

And God, we pray that um even pain levels would begin to decrease. God, we would see it go from a eight to a six to a four to a two to a zero. And so God, we just um we bless we bless your bodies. We bless your um your minds right now in Jesus name.

I'm so expectant for tonight. Yeah, me too. >> I feel like bodies are going to be healed. Even some of you are receiving the word of realignment. And I feel like even as um we go to worship together, even as we hear a message from Jason Valatin tonight, um there's going to be so many who um you begin to see things becoming like into place.

It's like vertebraes and like backs coming into alignment. I just see things coming into alignment. So, we just bless you right now. >> Yeah. Even if if it's a moment like of a pop, like a chiropractor, oh, you're going to maybe you're going to hear the pop. You're going to feel a pop, but this pop is not to harm you.

It is to make you better. >> To make you more Christlike. So, we bless you guys. >> Thank you so much for joining us. >> Yeah, we're going to worship together in just a minute. We have Austin Johnson, his last uh he's about to move. He's leaving us and I'm very sad.

Um and Emmy Rose, praise God. We've got an incredible worship team. We're expecting to go into the presence of God with you and we'll be back after service. See you soon. >> See you. Let me gather it. Gather myself. Hey, Bethl. 6 p.m. Great to see you. Why don't you turn to someone next to you, tell them how good they look, and uh introduce yourself, say hi, >> and then why don't you stand to your feet if you can What a privilege for us to be together.

As I walked up to you, I was reminded of a story from when I was in Zimbabwe and uh I was preaching in a little church. It could not have been bigger than this stage over here. And there was an old man. He must have been about 302.

He looks so old. And he was taking notes right in the front of this little mud hut. And afterwards, my interpreter said, "Do you know who that is?" I said, "No." And he said, "That is the um the chief of the village." And I was like, "Wow." And he said, "He used to be called the lightning wielder."

And I was like, "What do you mean the lightning wielder?" And he said he used to be the witch doctor of the village. And uh he was known in the village for commanding lightning and killing three people. And so they called him the lightning wielder. And he was my friend was driving one day and uh in the middle of the road jumps out this witch doctor in the middle of the road and he is naked in the middle of the road and he comes up to my friend in the car and he says to him, "A voice told me to come to this street and to be here because there is a power that I need to know and be introduced to."

So my friend said that power you're looking for is Jesus Christ and you are to throw down all your witch doctor paraphernalia and commit your life to Jesus. And so right there and there he threw down everything and he gave his life to Jesus and uh he ended up becoming the pastor because you know when the chief of the village who's a witch doctor gets saved the whole village got saved >> and then he started to become the pastor and he started to pastor this village to Jesus.

I don't know about you. If you've come into the room and you feel like you're far from God, let me tell you, all that call on the name of Jesus will be saved. >> I don't know about you if you feel like you're in trouble. Uh let me tell you, Jesus's name is above every name.

Above lightning, above the enemy, above the winds, the waves. His name is above all names. We don't just come here today because we are part of a community to sing karaoke and listen to some inspiring words. No, we come because there is a living God whose name commands whose name is above all names and but whose name every knee shall bow. >> It is inevitable.

It is not a forceful statement. It is inevitable. Every knee will bow to the name of Jesus. And uh if you're far from God and you found yourself in the room, I want to let you know Jesus loves you deeply. He's this close to you. All you need to do is call on his name.

And tonight when we go into worship, we are going to call on the name of Jesus. We are going to lift his name on high as a community. and it's going to be wildly beautiful and glorious. Why don't you turn to someone next to you just to tell them how much you love Jesus and how excited you are to jump into worship today.

We adore you. Hallelujah. >> Oh, isn't it just beautiful that we get to lift the name of Jesus high together today?

Isn't it beautiful that we get together as the church, as the body to proclaim the name of Jesus, the name above all names. And I just felt that today that there has just been a shift over people's mindsets, over people's realities right now as we've worshiped him, as we proclaimed his nature.

And if you can, I just want you to go ahead and grab just the shoulder of the person next to you. And I just wanted to do this as a just a sign of just saying, I am with you. We are together as we are pursuing and exalting his name.

And I'm just going to read over to you what Paul um just declares about his nature, that this is who Jesus is. Woo. And he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in heavenly places far above. All principality. Everyone say all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the age which is to come.

And let me tell you this promise. This is the promise. And he put all things, everyone say all things, under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. Isn't this good news?

Isn't this good news? Yes. So, we're going to go back into this song and I just want you as you're praying, I want you to be mindful of the people next to you and begin interceding for them in the spirit right now. I want you to just begin to pray as I just declared that scripture over us that Jesus is seated far above every principality, every power, every dominion.

That he has authority over all of it. That the name of Jesus, as we proclaim the name of Jesus over each other, there is something that is shifting over lives tonight. There are mindsets being restored tonight because the name of Jesus as we proclaim it breaks down every stronghold.

Every stronghold. So we're going to go back into that song. Wonderful, marvelous, glorious, humble, righteous and mighty. We praise you. We lift you up. We magnify. We glorify. We exalt you. We extol you. We adore you. Hallelujah. Holy, wonderful, marvelous, glorious, univerent, righteous, and mighty. And we praise you.

We lift you up. We magnify. We glorify. We exalt you. We adore you. We adore you. Oh, hallelujah. Wonderful. Glorious. We praise. We lift you. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. There is no wealthy. Glory to the lamb was slain. Glory to the king who reigns. Glory to the one who's worthy of all.

And there is only one who saves. There is only one we praise and he's worthy of all. Jesus, we thank you. We thank you that you're worthy. That tonight it wasn't just lip service, but it was adoration and declaration about the truth of who you are. And as a body, I just thank you for the honor and the privilege to worship next to my brothers and sisters, God.

And I just thank you for the opportunity to lift your name freely to say, Jesus, without hesitation, God, I just thank you. Thank you for the gift of proclaiming your name. Oh Jesus, I thank you for tonight. And God, I just bless. And why don't you just go ahead and just give the person next to you a beautiful hug and just say, "Jesus, bless you." as you head back to your seat. >> As you make your way to your seats, uh uh we're going to celebrate somebody.

It's their last uh Sunday leading uh here. Austin, why don't you come over here and why don't your family come up here and uh why don't as your your family comes up, why don't a few of your friends come around you and uh just to pray for you.

So, I don't know what layer of friendship you want to go all the way down, but if you work it out, if you some of your friends just come around here and some of the staff come here if you can. And uh Austin's been serving this house with his gift of worship for 12 years he's been here and his wife 10 years.

Uh she's been here and they they they met here. They got married here. That baby's a baby here. >> And we are sad but so excited. Why don't you tell them um what the Lord's doing in your heart and >> Yeah. Hi everybody. Um don't usually get to talk to you.

I just sing at you usually, but um no, we uh for the last yearish like have just been feeling a stirring and have had like crazy confirmations that have led us to make a move to Tennessee and um I will be songwriting a lot and uh I'll be a part of a church out there called Legacy.

Um and so yeah, going to be a part of that. That's a short version, but yeah. Anything you want to say? >> That was perfect. Yeah. We're really we're really sad to leave this house. We feel really thankful for what we've received here. >> Um but we just feel the Lord sending us.

So >> we're going. >> Does she want to say anything? >> You want to say anything, Elsie? >> You want to say anything? >> She's a No. >> Didn't think so. >> Why don't we stretch our hands out to these friends and then I don't know Bill's here.

Do you want to pray, Bill? Come on. I bless you in the name of the Lord. I bless you. I bless you. She didn't cry. And I bless you in the name of the Lord. We pray for great wisdom and grace, favor, open doors >> established quickly that they can flourish in this new place as a family and as a ministry, as a part of a church.

Cause them to flourish and bring life and to receive life. Thank you for what you're doing in that great church, in that great city. Thanks so much that we get to be a part. Amen. Amen. We love you, Austin. We love you guys. >> Bob, here we go. >> Good evening, church.

We'd love to bless you. We won't embarrass you. Yes. >> Promise. Okay. We were in the pre-ervice prayer. That's right. And there was 30 students. Where are you? All the way from Georgia visiting us. >> Welcome. We're so glad you're here. And we were praying for you. Did you get a good word? >> If you didn't stand up, we'll try again.

Yeah. We're so happy you're here. And if you need a break, you can come and join us in BSSM. Online applications are open. Sometimes we need to just, you know. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I I just want I just feel to ask you all to stand up because I really felt while we were worshiping for this specific group that God really wants to mark you um with his fire that will keep you burning for many many years from now.

And I I grew up in church and I burnt for Jesus whether I wanted or not because my parents just took me everywhere with them to all the prayer meetings, all of that. And I can say that wow throughout my years in my life, I burn today way more than I used to burn in the past.

So, I just declare this testimony over you in your youth and as you continue your life and your journey that you're going to keep on burning for Jesus. That 20 years from now, you're going to look back and you're going to say, "I'm burning way more today than I used to burn in the past."

So, Lord, I just pray for the fire of God to just come over them right now. And then there will be a marking a marking a marking of your fire of your presence and that and their love for you Jesus. Thank you Lord that takes you to love you.

So Lord I just pray that you would flood their hearts that they would burn more and more and more for you in Jesus' name. We bless you. We bless you in Jesus name. >> Amen. Wow. Is there any other guests visiting tonight? See we didn't take any money.

There you go. Stand up. Bless you. We We're not going to embarrass you. We want to welcome you. I think the ushers might have a little gift for you. They'll come around. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you for joining us. And any other announcements? Jesus is king. He's the boss.

And we're happy to be here tonight. Yeah. So, now it is offering time. It's Yan. >> All right. All right. All right. All right. Are you guys happy? >> I think just this corner is happy. Let me try again. Are you guys happy? >> Okay, let's stand up.

Stand up on your feet if you can, please. It's offering time. Wow, I'm still like feeling the Lord. All right, it's time for our tithes and offerings. Um, you can use the the QR code or your wallet. But also, I want to pray for all of us. We need wisdom, right?

We need heavenly wisdom to manage everything that the Lord has been giving to us. So, put your phone out or your wallet out. I'm going to pray for us. Lord, we thank you, God. Lord, we ask for wisdom, supernatural wisdom, God, so then we can multiply everything you've been given to us.

Lord, we have the fear of the Lord on us and we want to multiply. We don't want to be fearful, but we want to be full of wisdom to multiply and apply everything you've been given to us in Jesus mighty name. Amen. We're going to read the offering reading number one.

And uh I really want us to attach faith to it. You know, we don't I don't want us to just repeat some words like a mantra or something like that, but I really want us to put faith in these declarations because life and death is in the power of >> Let's go.

So, we're going to do this together. All right. 1 2 3. As we receive today's offering, we are believing the Lord for jobs and better jobs, raises and bonuses, benefits, sales and commissions, favorable settlements, estates and inheritances, interest and income, rebates and returns, checks in the mail, gifts and surprises, finding money, dabs paid off, expenses decrease, blessing and increase.

Thank you, Lord, for meeting all of my financial needs that I may have more than enough to give into the kingdom of God and promote the gospel of Jesus Christ. >> Hallelujah. Hallelujah. If Bethl Church is not your your home church, your tithes belong to your home church.

But beyond that, you're more than welcome to to to bless this house of revival. Um, as we pass around the buckets, I want to introduce the speaker of the night and I want to use this opportunity, man, to really thank you because of the generosity of this man heart.

My family was impacted by it. My oldest brother, he came here to visit me. And while he was here, because of the yes of this man, my oldest brother, he had an encounter of the Lord. He gave his life to the Lord. And now he's walking with the Lord.

He's doing BSSM Portuguese. So I want you all to stand on your feet and welcome up Jason Valatin. check. >> Well, that was quite an introduction. I was like, "Oh, no. Where's he going with this?" But I wouldn't argue with him because Did you guys know that um he fought MMA?

Yeah. No. You want to come up here and show us some moves? He did for reals. Yeah. He did like three amateur fights. He's in my office. Yeah, Yan's a bad man. Like there's Bruce Lee. Bruce Willis and then Yance. >> Bruce Willis. Baby, if you don't know who Bruce Willis is, it's because you were born not in the 90s.

Not in the 80s and 90s. Yeah, we won't go there too much. Guys, I'm so excited to be here tonight. It's probably been like I don't know eight years since I preached in a Sunday night. >> It's been a long time. >> We're usually in bed. >> We're usually in bed.

Yeah. What? 7:16. Literally, my kids are just in bed. Like lit right now. How many of you your kids are normally in bed right now about this time? But you're here. You're faithful. I see you. Bless you. Yeah. Our kids right now are probably hassling our babysitter. So, we're praying for our kids.

But I'm excited uh for tonight. Um I have been on a bit of a theme and I'm still I'm continuing this theme. I made a joke uh Sunday I preached I don't know when was it? November. I preached in November. When when you preach once a year, you know when it happened, this is twice now.

But I preached in November. And I made a joke because I had preached the last time I preached was gen I had preached Genesis 1. Was it any of you in that message when I preached about creation and boundaries and Okay. And then I came and I preached um in November and I preached about God, how God forms mankind.

Anybody in that? Okay, then you guys are in for a treat because I'm continuing I'm selling this series when I'm done. No, I'm kidding. I'm joking. I'm continuing. Um, honestly, I just have such a fascination right now with how God's forming me and how God forms mankind. And I really am.

I just feel I I'm in a season of life where I'm looking at what my life has been and what it is and where I'm going and what what's the question I'm constantly asking is, God, what are you doing in my life? I don't know if that makes sense to you guys, but that's the question that I'm constantly asking.

What are you doing in my life? Who am who am I becoming? Um why are you doing this in my life? Anybody asked that question before? God, why? You get a lot of answers out of that one. I've noticed. But we're going to be looking at the life of David uh today.

Tonight. I love David's life. Uh, so many I mean for so long I wanted to be like David and there's some shady things in David's life and some of you were named after David and that's okay. But David in a lot of ways was the least likely to succeed.

David was uh born uh I think he was number eight in a family, a big family. And David was Do you guys remember like in high school? I feel like I relate a bit to David in this way. You're going to see it in a minute. In this way, David in a lot of ways was least likely to succeed.

He had all these brothers that were big and strong and powerful. And then there was David who well he didn't look like his other brothers and he he didn't look like um he he he was not battleworn like his brothers were. And when I think about myself, I relate a lot to David because uh in many ways, David wasn't the the most likely to succeed and neither was I.

So, I just want to show you a picture of me. This was me in Do you guys have that? Yes. This was me like 13 uh transitioning into high school. Now, I know you can't tell because this is a kind of a a a darker picture. It's hard to see, but um I'm not nerdy as nerdy as I look.

No, I was. I totally was. This is who I wanted to be. Can you show a picture of Do you know what I mean? Like going into high school, I felt a lot like David felt, growing up in a home with these stone cold killers. And but David grew up a lot like me.

He looked a lot like me. He didn't look like that. It took me a long time. I took that last night actually and Lauren convinced me to cover up uh so that yeah, we could take that down. But David David had some troubles because David was born into uh a home with where his father was ashamed of him.

And that's part of why David was out in the field all the time. We're going to get into his story more. But David had some troubles, too. You can show a picture of what David's brothers look like. Could you imagine? Unless you were look like I did, but could you imagine being the eighth in a home like that of these studs?

And then here's David right here. ruddy, little red head. So, as I tell this story tonight, this is who this is an actual real picture, by the way, of David. Now, you know, I'm constantly asking God, "What are you doing with me? What is this all about?" But isn't it crazy that God used a little insignificant ruddy boy who liked to be with sheep to change a nation? >> I mean, David really was the least likely to succeed.

He didn't come from a line of kings. He was just this le least likely to succeed young man. And yet God said, "I'm choosing any mini." Uh, no. Let's take the one that nobody would really expect. Let's take him. Have you noticed that God's constantly using the least likely to succeed?

All through the Bible, you're like, "Man, Moses was great." Or, I mean, just you look through the Bible and you go, "These guys, all the uh all the disciples, least likely to succeed type of guys. These weren't like top tier leaders and yet God used them. And uh I want to kind of I want to jump in to how we get to David being a leader because I as we go through David's story and in these section of of scripture here, I think this is going to be really uh impactful on how God's what God's doing in our lives today and how he forms us and in in some ways where we're going.

Um, in 1st Samuel 15, uh, for years and years and years, Israel has been led by a judge named Samuel. Now, Samuel's a prophet. There wasn't a king over Israel like there was a lot over a lot of other nations. The the nation of Israel was led by Samuel.

The trouble was is that Samuel was getting older and his sons were corrupt. And so as Samuel was getting older and as his sons uh as Israel started to realize, I don't know that that Samuel's going to be leading us for much longer and we certainly don't want his sons to lead us.

They began to ask for a king instead of a prophet to lead them instead of a judge to lead instead of God. really, it was God leading them. This is quite a quandry, isn't it? For the first time in in Israel's history, they no longer want God to lead them.

They want a king. A man, you can already see the setup, can't you? It is crazy. You're like, and so what ends up happening is in in 1 Samuel 15, I'll read a little bit in a second. I'm just going to kind of set it up. Saul's father's donkeys have gone missing.

Now that's a big crisis in the time when Saul lived. Nowadays, not so much. But the donkeys went missing and so Saul left with his servant and he went to go find the donkeys. Now Saul was gone for quite a long time and he started to get worried that his dad was going to worry about him.

And so he said, "Hey, let's go back home. My dad's going to be worried about us. And the servant said to Saul, "Hey, let's stop at the seer's house. Let's stop at Samuel the Seer's house." He said, "If we go to Samuel's house, surely he'll know he'll know about the donkeys.

He'll know about our lives and and we'll be able to we'll be able to find them." And so, this is this is kind of where we pick up. I'm going to go to 1 Samuel. Oh, I'm in I'm in the complete wrong chapter. 15. Boom. Okay. Oh, shoot.

Sorry, guys. It was going to be so much smoother than this. Um, sorry, I got to go back just a tiny piece before I get into this. Um, before I get into to how Samuel came about or Saul came about, I forgot to mention how he lost his kingship.

Um, what ultimately happened is God put God uh raises Saul up and Saul God gives clear instructions to Saul when he's fighting the Amalachites. He says, "Go and kill every single one of them. Don't save any of them." Now Saul being Saul, he goes and they completely annihilate the Amalachites except for the king, the best sheep, the best animals.

Now Samuel, God speaks to Samuel and he and he says to Samuel, "I'm so angry that I put Saul as king. I'm so frustrated that I put Saul as king. I wish I'd have never done it. And and so what ends up happening is Samuel goes to visit Saul and he's looking for Saul and he says, "Hey, where's Saul?"

And they go, "Oh, he's up on a mountain. He's making a uh monument to himself. This is a bad thing. If you ever disobey God, the next thing to do is not make a monument to yourself. So Samuel comes and finds him. And I I want to read just one one chapter in this um and this is exactly why I couldn't find where it was.

Here we go. When Samuel reached Saul, uh, when Samuel reached Saul, Saul said, "The Lord bless you. I've carried out the Lord's instructions." But Samuel, do you see where Saul's at? He's like, "I've carried out the Lord's instructions. God bless you." Saul uh Saul answered, "The soldiers uh let's see."

But Samuel said, "What then is the bleeding of sheep in my ears? What is this loing of cattle that I hear? Saul answered, "The soldiers brought them from the Amalachites. It's like Adam saying,"It's this woman that you gave me. They spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the Lord your God, but we totally destroyed the rest." "Enough," Samuel said to Saul. "Let me tell you what the Lord said to me last night." "Tell me," Saul replied.

Samuel said, "Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel, the Lord anointed you king over Israel and then sent you on a mission, saying, "Go and completely destroy those those wicked people, the Amalachites. Why did you not obey the Lord?

Why did you pronounce Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the Lord?" I watch him again. He says, "But I did obey, Lord. I went on the mission the Lord assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalachites and brought back Aag, their king.

Do you see his inability to to see his own sin? >> It's wild. The soldiers took the sheep from the cattle of the plunder, the best of what was devoted uh the best of what was devoted to God in order to sacrifice to them the Lord your God at Gilgal.

So Saul saying, "No, no, the soldiers kept them so that we could sacrifice them to God." But Samuel replied, "Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as m as a much as obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice. And to heed is better than the fat of rams because you've I'm skipping verses.

Because you've rejected the word of the Lord, he's rejecting you of as a king." I wanted to get here. Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned. I have violated the Lord's command and your instructions. This piece right here. So, he's finally getting to the place where he's admitting, I sinned.

I violated the Lord because I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. >> This is wild. What an unbelievable setup. >> You have Samuel the prophet coming to him and boom, calling him out, calling him out, calling him out. And the whole time Saul's going, "No, it was those men.

No, it was this thing. No, we were gonna sacrifice sin to God. Oh gosh, Saul, what great what great intentions." Sammy goes, "No, no, it's better to obey than it is to have a sacrifice for God." Just think about where that applies in our lives. You're like, "No, no, God.

I'm making all this for you. >> This is for you, God. Does it?" No, you're talking to me. This isn't me. This was I didn't even want all this. I didn't I wasn't even trying to do this. And he finally gets to the point where he goes, "Actually, I was afraid of the men.

I was afraid. I had fear of man. Therefore, I disobeyed you." >> The fear of man comes in a way where we begin to justify things in our life, don't we? >> We begin to go, "Oh, this is okay. This is all right." God likes a good sacrifice.

He likes a really big fat ram. He likes this nice thing. Saul's up there creating a monument to himself and giving God a little something, completely disobeying God because of his fear of man. >> Now, I want to take us to how did he get here? Are you guys interested to see how he got here?

I want to know for myself, how did he get here? So, right when this happens, uh, Samuel, he leaves and he goes and he, uh, goes on this journey to Jesse's house and he's going to find a new king. Now, he knows that he can't just if if Saul knows that he's going to find a new king, then Saul's going to kill whoever it is, right? because Saul's a I mean, you just Yeah, you don't do that.

So, he goes to find a new king and as he gets to Jesse's house, Samuel the prophet says, "Hey, line your young men up." And you guys know where this is going because you saw um David. Yeah, >> they got that from me. >> They didn't. But he he starts lining them all up.

And of course, what happens is David sees uh I think the oldest son and he goes, "That's got to be him. That guy is tall. He's handsome. He's a warrior." And God says this, "Well, the Lord said to Samuel, "Don't do not consider his appearance or his height.

The Lord does not look at the things people look at." Everybody say, "God's not looking at what people look at." >> God's not looking People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. That's 1st Samuel 16. See, the enemy's plan is simple. His plan is to get you to focus on you.

And he's going to work really, really, really hard to tell you what you're not. You're not big enough. You're not tall enough. You're not strong enough. You didn't come uh you weren't born in a good family. You don't have what it takes. For you men, that's the ultimate dagger.

You don't have what it takes. For you women, you are not worthy to be pursued. And if you can't win that way, then he's going to tell you how awesome you are. >> And he's going to get you to build a monument to yourself. >> Oh, look at all the things you deserve.

You can be like God, >> right? >> Isn't he loving? Isn't he gooding? Good. Doesn't he want you to have the best? Gooding is a word. I heard a few of you. Have a good laugh about it. God still chose me. I'm not perfect. You want me to be goodter?

See, pretty soon if the enemy can't defeat you on how bad you are, he'll get you to worship you. >> Worship you. >> Worship your things and what you're doing and look how amazing you are. And you get stuck in having to please people, >> right? You're stuck in this.

I got to keep up this image, >> which is where Saul was, wasn't he? It's a big trap. See, Saul was not God's idea. Like I told you, he was what the people wanted. When we go back and look at Saul, like I told you earlier, Saul was on the road looking for his father's donkeys.

Took a really long time. So, he came back. He went and met with Samuel the prophet, right? He meets with Samuel the prophet and Samuel basically comes and he greets him and he says to him, "Uh, I've been waiting for you. You I knew that you were going to come.

I've been waiting for you." Now, we're in Samuel uh 9:21, and this is for reals. If you go there, you will find this He says um he's talking with him and he and he basically says I'm the seer. This is 19. Go up ahead and meet to the high place.

So he's giving Saul instructions. Hey, it's good to see you. go up to to the high place for today. You're going to eat with me and in the morning I will send you on your way and I'll tell you all this in your heart. Now, first of all, meeting with Samuel is a big deal.

You're meeting with the guy that that that governs that rules the nation of Israel and the guy that talks to God. How many of you if you had a oneonone meeting with that guy, it'd be be a big deal. Yeah. >> He says, um, and I'll, he says, I'll send you on your way, and I'll tell you all this in your heart.

As for the donkeys you lost three days ago, don't worry about them. They've been found. Uh, and to whom is all the desire of Israel turned, if to not to you and your whole family line. Saul answered, "But am I not a Benjaminite from the smallest tribe of Israel?

And is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you say such a thing to me? Here's the setup. Samuel's talking about how the Lord's putting favor on Saul's family and on Saul. And Saul's going, "I think you got the wrong guy."

This sounds like Gideon, doesn't it? When the angel comes to Gideon, when Gideon's hiding in a wine press because again, the Amalachites are coming to crush them. And the angel says to, "Oh, mighty man of valor." And he goes, "Uh, no, no, that's the other guy. That's not me.

I'm the smallest guy from the smallest tribe." I just going to keep highlighting what what who God chooses. But in this case, Saul So Saul starts out as being very insecure. He's not feeling up to the task. He's going like, "Are you I don't think that you are talking about me.

I am I'm a Benjamite Benjaminite from the smallest tribe of Israel. Is not my clan the least? Now, we're going to continue on in chapter 10. Uh 9. Sorry guys. 9 Okay. 9:25. After they came down from the high place to the town, Samuel talked with Saul on the roof of his house.

They rose about daybreak, and Samuel called to Saul on the roof, "Get ready, and I will send you on your way." When Saul got ready, he and Samuel went outside together. As they were going down to the edge of the town, Samuel said to Saul, "Tell the servants to go ahead of us."

And the servants did so, but you stay here with me that I may give you a message from God. This is a really important part that I don't want us to miss. Uh, verse 10. Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul's head and kissed him, saying, "Has not the Lord anointed you rule over his inheritance."

And then he goes on to say, "When you leave me, you're going to run into you. All these different signs are going to happen. All these things you're going to go here and this is going to happen. You're going to go there and that's going to happen. And finally, you're going to go and there's going to be men that are prophesying.

And when you get with them, when you get in their presence, the spirit of the Lord's going to come upon you, and he's going to change you into another man, and you're going to prophesy, which is all those things came to pass exactly like Samuel said to Saul, and it happened.

And the spirit of the Lord God came upon Saul and changed him into another man. Now to fast forward, what happens is in 1st Samuel 10:17, Samuel goes and he gathers all of Israel because you remember that they called they want a king. So he's now going to appoint uh um Saul as king.

You guys with me? >> Stay with me. This will be worth your while. So he gathers all of Israel in verse uh 17 and he's all the clans all the different clans are coming before uh uh Samuel and when Samuel chooses Saul's clan Saul's gone and can't find him and he says to him he says where is Saul You guys know where he's at? >> He's hiding in the baggage.

When he goes to look for Saul, Saul's not there. He's hiding in the baggage. He's feeling really, really insecure about the position about who God's call who Samuel's calling him to. He doesn't really want to do it. That's how he started out his career. Now, what I want to draw a distinction to is two things.

When Saul gets anointed, did you hear me read what he got anointed with? It was a flask. >> Everybody say flask. >> Flask. >> When David got anointed, David was anointed with a horn. It's interesting when you look at it. What is the flask? Well, the flask was a clay, like a clay jar that was used.

That clay jar, what did it represent? It was man-made, wasn't it? See the difference between Saul was Saul was a manmade. I want a king. >> I don't want God to rule me. I want something quick. >> I want something convenient. I want something that fits me right now. >> See, Saul Saul was so green.

He's out looking for a donkey one week and the next week he's appointed king. And what happens? We see what happens. Saul's insecurity of being uh uh from the smallest tribe. Uh I'm I'm not really significant. I'm just wandering around looking for no one's looking for me and I'm hiding in my baggage and yet now I have to become king because he was anointed because he was called and he skipped the process of formation.

When he got to his calling, his commissioning he couldn't actually handle the pressure that was put on him. So good. >> I told you guys eight months ago in my last message. There's four steps to formation. The first one is called. The next one's tested. The purpose of testing, draw everything to the surface that doesn't serve the ultimate purpose.

The next one, equipped. Right? I'm going to do this just very quickly. The purpose of equipping again is to give you feedback. Man, feedback's tough, isn't it? Hey son, can I tell you? Can I give you a little feedback? You look insecure. You're in the baggage. How come?

What's happening inside of you? Right? And then you get to commissioned. Does that make sense? That's the formation process that God set up for mankind. And you can see it over and over and over again. When God goes to find David, see, Saul was tall. He was good-looking.

He fit the part that man wanted. Give me somebody tall. Give me somebody that looks strong. Give me somebody that looks good. When he gets to David, even Samuel goes, "This must be him." All strong. The guy that I found before, this guy looks just like him. But God said, "It's not that guy."

Samuel, stop looking with your eyes >> and look with your heart >> because I'm not looking with my eyes. I'm looking with my heart. And he anoints David with the horn. What's the horn represent? How long does it take to grow a horn? What did that horn go through to actually become something of use? >> For starters, it was sacrificed. >> Something had to die.

Is this sounding familiar? >> Something had to die in order for this to be of use. >> It was time-tested. It was obedience. >> It was sacrifice. It was perseverance. >> He anointed David into that life. Pay attention. He anoint when he anointed David, he anointed David into the life of obedience, sacrifice, perseverance.

David gets anointed. He doesn't become king for 15 more years. Why? I'm convinced that God goes, "I'm not making the same mistake twice. I don't want a man who's tall. I want a man after my own heart. I want a man who learns obedience rather than just sacrifice.

I want a man who learns character. I want a man who understands suffering. I want a man whose heart is after me, not just who the people want. When we look at the life of David, there's really three places that David was formed. David was again he was anointed.

This would be wild, wouldn't if it was you. Imagine, imagine that you that God comes to you and he anoints you king or he anoints you as the next president and then you have to go back out and be with his sheep. >> Anybody wonder would be out there wondering is what God said really real?

Y'all ever have like a crazy prophetic word and then next week you're like I'm going to be the president and next week you got your mom, she's like you're doing all the underwear this week and you're weed whacking, you're mowing the lawn and you're babysitt whatever. Like you ever does this make sense to you?

Like God tells you you're going to do this and then you're out there. David's first formation was in the field. >> What did David learn in the field? the slingshot. Yes, he absolutely did. He faced the lion. He faced the bear. He learned intimacy with God, didn't he? >> Learned deep intimacy with the Lord.

And David got to the palace and God didn't stop forming him. Once David became king, God didn't stop forming him, did he? Oh, he was he was being tested and he was being shaped and he was being formed in his character, wasn't he? And then David gets chased out of the palace, which is a whole another story, and he goes into hiding into a cave.

And David gets shaped in surrender. I really think I really do. I think that this is ultimately where God's trying to get all of us is to surrender. >> I think that's where we're going in life. I'm watching it. I'm looking at it. I'm thinking back to our model.

Our the best model that we have is Jesus. >> He's a perfect model. That's good. >> And I just am watching him woo the disciples closer and closer. They followed him at first. They followed him because he had lots of power and authority. And they're watching him do these miracles and these signs and wonders and they're aed by it.

And they're building intimacy with him. And then Jesus gives them some power and they go and they're doing and he's building their character and he's calling them out, isn't he? He's calling them out. He's correcting them. He's doing it with them. Where is where are they ultimately being led to?

See, Jesus Jesus ultimately came in his obedience led to surrender. Yes, >> the ult's ultimate is the surrender. It's 100% not my will, but yours be done. I'm not doing what I want to do. I'm doing what you want to do. I'm not planning my day according to my will and my emotions.

I'm doing it according to what you want, God. It's what he's wooing the disciples into. Come on. Come on. Come on. And you see Peter who denies Christ three times because he's afraid. He's terrified. A lot like Saul, isn't he? He's afraid. He's afraid of the people. He's afraid of what will happen.

He's afraid of uh of the consequences. And Jesus comes and he woos him all the way back into come and surrender. Come and surrender, Peter. Feed my sheep. If you love me, you will obey me. If you love me, you will obey me. I think some of us, me included, you look at life, what you've been called to, even what you're up against, and you're like, "God, this is too much.

Smell me. I smell like sheep. Look at me. I've been in the field for a long time. We feel disqualified in different areas of our lives, especially compared to what we're facing. But God's not looking on the outside. He's looking on the inside. And he's going, "Come follow me.

I will make you." He's saying, "Hey, I'm anointing you. I'm anointing you to do what you've been called to do. And this is really important. Do you remember when God anointed or when when Samuel anointed Saul and he goes and he gets changed into another man? I really do actually believe that that happened.

You guys believe that? >> I believe that he was changed into another man when the spirit of God came on him. I believe that that was the equipping for the calling. But Saul didn't go through the formation that he needed to walk that out. Are you with me? >> The beautiful thing about us, this what I feel like God wants to do.

I feel like the Lord, you're looking at the road ahead and going, "How could I possibly do this, God? whatever road it is. I don't know if you've had kids before, but before you have kids, you're like, "This is doable." After you have kids, you will come to the surrendered life.

I mean, it just feels like it, right? You get to this point where you're like, "I give up. Take them back. What do you want?" But then you remember, you remember, I've been called to this. >> And who God calls, he anoints. Who God calls, he makes a way.

He provides. There's gra there's a grace for us to do what God calls us to do. And you're looking at your life and you're looking at it through your lens. And God's going, "No, I've called you. I've equipped you. I've set you apart. Yes, you are in a formation process.

But I just want to break it to you guys. I have finally figured it out. We are going to be in a formation process till Jesus comes back or we meet him there because we are being made like him. We will not be done until we are ultimately surrendered >> to look like a pure and spotless bride where we're saying not my will but yours.

How are you going to do that? Not by your might, not by your power, but in him. Yes, >> we're coming to a place where it's less about us, less about what you can do, and more about what your obedience in surrender can do >> with a God that loves you, believes in you, is for you 100%.

Romans 11:29 says, "For God's gifts and his calls are irrevocable." See the gift that God gives you. That's what you're built with, right? And the calling is what you were built for. But the anointing of God makes it possible. Are you with me? >> The gifting, God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.

So each one of us has been gifted. You've been gifted and only maybe one gift, but you've got one. That's a joke. Wasn't funny. Your calling. Everybody has a calling. Every single one of us has a calling. But it it takes the anointing of God on our life to accomplish what God has called us to.

I want to look at that the anointing. In the New Testament, the word for anointed is creo. I believe it means to smear or to rub with oil to consecrate. It's it's symbolic. When when David was anointed with the horn, God was saying, "You are mine. >> You're my guy.

I am with you." It was a declaration over David of God's promise with him. It wasn't political. It was heaven's declaration. This is my chosen one. when when Jesus uh in Luke 4:18 it says the spirit of the Lord God has anointed me. Jesus comes and he says the spirit of the Lord has anointed me to do these things.

Right? In Acts 10:38, God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. See, the anointing is what takes us from natural to supernatural. It's the anointing of God. I believe The older I get, the more things I go through, the more I'm looking at life.

This is why I'm so fascinated with this subject. I keep going back to how are you forming mankind? What are you doing? How are you equipping him? How do I succeed? I'm continually being drawn back to it's not you, it's me. It's It's not what you can do, it's what I can do through you. >> It's what I can do if you will surrender, son. >> If you will obey, son, it it's not about me looking at myself as bad or I'm oh, this this terrible sinner that God just barely uses.

We don't believe that. At the same time, I'm not over here going building a monument to myself going, "Look at all the amazing things I accomplished for you, God." There's I believe that there's this invitation for us. And the invitation ahead of us is will you partner with what I'm doing inside of you and what I want to do through you?

It comes through formation. Formation is God's gift to us >> so that we can handle the commissioning, the calling. If we don't go through the formation and you just rush the process, you get the calling and you get commissioned, but you don't have the power or the uh you don't actually have the carrying capacity to walk it all the way out.

And it ends up being this curse on your life. >> Yeah. >> I get called the thing that I wanted to do. I got But I can't actually sustain it because I don't know how to sustain the pressure of mankind. The pressure of the world. I'm facing a giant.

David faced the lion, the bear, the giant. And he was sustained. He was sustained because of the formation that God did in his life. He was forming him and continually forming him. But I don't believe that God just wants to form us. I believe that he wants to anoint us. >> And I really do think that's what separates us from the world >> is that we've been anointed.

We have the anointed one in us. We have the Holy Spirit. When Jesus said that the Lord has anointed me. That's our model. The Lord has anointed me for what he has called me to. >> I just want to tell you really clearly what God's doing in you, he's not wasting. >> And what God's called you to, he hasn't forgotten about. and what God's doing in you and what he's called you to.

He wants to anoint you so that you can actually accomplish what God has called you to accomplish. >> Can we stand up? There's a man in World War II and his name was Desmond Doss. And Desmond Doss was a Christian. And when he joined the army, he wanted to be a medic.

It's a true story. You've probably seen this story. Uh it's called Hacksaw Ridge. So Desmond Doss, he joins the army. And he opts out of carrying a weapon. Now, if you're a medic and you don't carry a weapon and you're in war like Desmond Doss was, it's a bad day.

But Desmond Doss had such conviction about thou shalt not kill that he decides I don't I'd rather obey than to survive. So he sticks with his conviction and he gets made fun of for it and he gets mocked for it. I even think he gets beaten for it.

But Desmond Doss, he doesn't budge. And one day Desmond Doss is out on the battlefield and the battlefield is fierce. People are dying and Desmond strikes out and he goes and he finds a man who's injured and he carries him back and he goes out again and he carries another man back and he goes out again and he carries another man back and out and back and out and back and out and back and every time he lays on the ground.

I wanted to play it tonight, but they won't let me because of streaming purposes. And he's laying on his back and he says, "Give me one more, Lord." And he gets back up and he runs back into the battlefield. He got he ended up rescuing 75 people. >> 75.

And he lived to tell the story. >> Wow. To me, it's a perfect picture of what a surrendered life >> looks like anointed for the task that God has us. It's supernatural. It's supernatural. And I believe that that's what God wants to do in us. Whether you're running and chasing after kids and cooking meals and running the house or changing the oil or I it doesn't matter to me. welding, if you're a salesman, if you're an entrepreneur, we've all been called to the same life.

And it's a great life. It's a life of surrender. It's a life of obedience. It's a life of deep intimacy where you don't control the outcome. We have a guy who makes it so that there's no way that we can lose. the end's already been decided. >> I have a friend who told me um yesterday, not yesterday, uh a couple days ago, last week, he was in special forces and he said, "When I joined the special forces and I flew into Iraq for the first time, he said, "My general met."

And he said these words that helped me the most. He said, "You're already dead." And the guy was like, "Hey, thanks." And he goes, "No, no, you need to understand something. You're already dead because if you sit in the back of this truck as a machine gunner and you try to save your life, you'll kill a whole bunch.

You'll you'll kill your team. You'll you'll ultimately lose your life. The fear will overtake you. But if you realize that you're already dead, you'll be able to function like you're supposed to function." And guys, I just I know I'm back to war. Sorry y'all. I normally just they normally just stick me with the guys.

The life that we've been called to live is the life unto surrender. We know where we're going. None of us can control any narrative. None of us control any outcome. None of us get to control what our kids think of us. That you can surrender your life. You can be obedient.

You can show up every single day and you can walk with the Holy Spirit in his calling, in his anointing to accomplish the will of God on your life. And I'm just saying I'm inviting us into this is the season that we're in. And this is the season that God's called us to in every single season. >> So would you put your hands out in front of you?

Father, I thank you that you are never choosing the best looking or the tallest or the strongest or the loudest. that Lord, that's not how you pick. But you looked to each one of us and gave us a calling and a gifting to do the mission that you have commissioned us to do.

And Lord, I thank you that you gave us the Holy Spirit as a gift, Lord. That you anointed us with your Holy Spirit to walk out the plans that you have for us, God. Lord, that we'd be able to co-labor with you and see your kingdom come, see your will be done on this earth, Father.

And Lord, I ask God that you'd begin to touch each person in here like you did Saul where you changed him into another man. Lord, in a moment that we'd go from feeling insecure about how we're leading our relationship with our spouse to secure, that we'd go from unsure of how we're doing with raising kids to really sure, Lord, that you would give us the wisdom, the understanding, the the the anointing to walk out the plan that you have for us, God.

And so, Lord, I ask that you begin to fall on each one of us tonight. just invite him. Just Holy Spirit come. Would you fall on each person in here, Lord? That you would bless them, that you would lead them, that you would guide them, but Lord, that you would anoint them with your Holy Spirit, Father, that we'd be able to walk out the call that you have for us, Lord.

And Lord, I just ask for those those places. I just those places, those fiery darts that have come and they've said, you don't have what it takes. You're not enough. Like some of us are carrying a really heavy burden. You're looking at the circumstance in front of you.

And you're like, I can't do it. I just want to remind you that that's the voice of the enemy because the voice of God is never in you. You couldn't do it from the get-go, but we can do it. God's looking at you going, "No, we can do it.

It's just a lion. I know how to kill lions. It's just a bear. I know how to kill bears. It's just Goliath." What I ask, Father, that you would change the way that we see the obstacles in our lives. Because here's the best news is that we're gonna win.

We have God on our side. We're gonna win. It doesn't matter the obstacle. We're gonna win. If God is for us, who can be against us? Lord, would you change the mindset of each one of us that are in here? Lord, the mindset that says you're going to want to run and hide in your baggage.

You're going to want to run and hide so people can't find you. Oh, the Lord's called you a mighty warrior. >> He's called you more than an overcomer. He's called you one that is well equipped to do the job and the task that's before you. You were never meant to do it on your own.

That's why he is with you. Lord, I ask, Father, that you would make them bold. That you would give them boldness like you did the disciples. That they would have courage like David had to face the challenges that are in front of them. And Lord, we welcome your formation.

I know it's a weird prayer, but it's such a purposeful prayer. Lord, we welcome your formation because you're a good father. And a good father forms. A good father molds. A good father leads. A good father disciplines. A good father raises up. A good father knows how to love us and knows how to care for us.

The last thing I just I really feel like the Lord is bringing confidence. I feel like there's going to be just crazy confidence that comes on our people. The the confidence that David mustered up, it didn't have anything to do with David. It had to do with his belief in God. and God's faithfulness.

If God's called me to it, surely he will sustain me in it. Lord, would you release your confidence on our people? Would you release your confidence, Lord, in marriages, confidence, Lord, in our families, confidence to every man and woman in this room, Lord, your confidence that God is with me.

I just saw uh I just saw anxiety breaking off of people. If you have if you live with anxiety, would you just put your hand on your head? There's no shame at all. Lord, I just ask Father that you would come that you'd uh just break off this anxiety in Jesus name.

Lord, this anxiety, especially this anxiety that comes from what if, what might, I don't uh I don't know if I'm going to be okay, Lord, would you come and release your peace over them, Father in Jesus name. And Lord, I ask that they would begin to sleep at night, >> Lord.

That you'd restore sleep at night, >> Father. that they that you'd restore deep sleep, God, that there would be a shift in the atmosphere over them, Father, in Jesus name. Amen. Guys, thank you so much. Thank you so much, Shay. We have been called to surrender and we need his anointing.

So powerful. If you could just hold your places just for one one minute, please. Uh in a night like this where we're called to surrender, I just want to make space. If you found yourself in the room tonight and you do not know what it means to have Jesus as your Lord and Savior, or maybe you've backsliden and you've walked away from God, I want you to know that 2,000 years ago, he died on a cross to take away all your sin, your past, your present, and your future.

And maybe that's you watching online tonight. And all we have to do is to surrender to that truth. And so if that's you tonight, uh, in fact, would you mind actually just all closing your eyes? If that's you in the room tonight and tonight you want to come back to the Lord or you want to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I want you to just raise your hand real quick so I can see.

Okay, great. If if you're online and you want to make that decision, just put it in the chat. I need Jesus. And someone will reach out to you. All right, everyone here is all in. So, it's good to see we'll celebrate in eternity together. Um, if we could just have the ministry team come down to the front real quick.

If you uh need prayer for anything tonight, if you need a miracle in your body, if you need if you're finding yourself, you're like, "Hey, I need more grace to surrender or you want us to pray for anointing in your life. Uh maybe you need some prophetic direction.

We would love to pray for you. Our ministry team will be up front with a hand raised. So just find one of them and we can invite you come on forward. Uh if you need family restoration, uh if you need courage for the future, our team is hungry and would love to pray for you.

Uh online family, thank you so much for joining from all over the world. We bless you and we will see you next week. Hello. Hello. >> We're back. >> We're back. What an incredible deep message. >> Deep. >> Yeah. Profound. >> Mhm. It's kind of like the word of the Lord, like the sword of God, actually. >> Just cutting through. >> Yeah. >> Cutting through our defenses.

Yeah. >> Cutting through every single thing. And he's coming in goodness. Come And he's coming with love kind of like like a good father does, you know, like, hey son, daughter, >> we need to talk about some things not from a hopeless perspective, but from a place of like calling us up, calling us higher. >> It's true.

It's so true. And I think sometimes it's so helpful to hear like we're in this for the long haul. This is for the rest of our lives. Sometimes I think we get to the point of, okay, I figured it out. you know, everything is good now. I guess I'm done.

And then it can almost feel like punishment when you're >> being shaped again. And and at the same time, I'm like, oh, we're we're just becoming more and more like Jesus every day, >> every year, year after year, decade after decade, becoming more and more like him. >> Yeah. >> From glory to glory. >> And even like to be honest with the process.

Yeah. >> You know, like sometimes because of the pain involved in a situation, sometimes we want to just pass by. that we want to look over it but actually like to be honest with the process to process the pain not like alone but especially with the Lord. I think that's one of the biggest difference that we have to do to walk with the Lord because he's a good father.

It's not because sometimes we're walking through a hard process that um he's not with us. He's a God Emanuel. >> It's true >> and he wants to love on us in the middle of the process. It's so good. And I think I loved what Jay was talking about tonight of like not bypassing the process and not wanting to get to a further place because then we won't be able to withstand >> what God's called us to and who he's called us to be.

And man, there's so many times in my life I wish I could have like leaprogged over a problem, you know, like anyone else. You just want to bypass it. Like let's just take a little detour. And and at the same time, >> God's shaping me. He's forming my character.

He's uh pruning things out of me. He's building me and I'm building relationship with him of what is possible, what I need. It's it's just so humbling. I think it's so healthy. I think it's so good. Um so if that's you, you know, we're all in the process, but he he kind of uh uh showcased like four different places in that process.

And so if you're in one of those where you're like, "Oh, but this part feels hard." God, we just pray for grace for them, God, to be right in the midst of the process, but but that it would be with the Lord, that you wouldn't do that um outside of him.

You wouldn't do that um separated from him, but that you would do that walking with Jesus because you don't have to do it without him >> at all. >> Yeah. At all. At all. And I really feel the Holy Spirit imparting courage in bonus. Um even I I I want to take a little bit of >> Yeah. step risk steps right here. >> I really feel that uh for some of you online and actually this is our reality too to walk with somebody. >> Yeah. >> Don't get isolate.

Don't don't hide yourself. >> Um you know like especially like Jay was saying about about soul like he was hiding in the middle of the baggage. >> Don't isolate yourself. Go with the Lord. Yes, 100%. But also walk with somebody. He might be your leader. It might be your spouse.

It might be your pastor. Whoever it might be, don't walk alone. >> So good. >> Walk with somebody. >> So good. >> And even encourage and boldness to go and start a conversation that you would be asking for help. >> Yeah. >> I really feel the Lord on that.

Like >> so good. >> Don't don't Yeah. Don't hide. >> Don't run away from the pain. run towards the pain towards the process because you you will experience a a new a new facet of the Lord in the middle of the process >> you know so I want to bless you with courage and boldness for to walk this process in this walk with the Lord in Jesus name >> um before we started earlier um I felt God kept saying or I kept hearing in my head I think it was the Lord um I kept hearing he puts the lonely and family and all throughout worship ship.

Um, I was interceding and praying for those who feel isolated, people who feel lonely, who uh those who feel separated and I want to read scripture over you and I want to just echo with with what Yan is saying right now is that if that has been you, you've been in a season where you're like, "Oh, I feel like I'm by myself or I feel away from even just the body of Christ."

Um, I want to read this. This is Psalm 68:es 5 and six. It says, "A father to actually I'm gonna read verse four." I'm gonna read uh I'm gonna read it in the ESV and then the NOV because I don't know how to do this. Sing to God.

Sing praises to his name. Lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts. His name is the Lord. Exalt before him. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families. He leads out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious live in a sunscorched land.

If that's been you, if you feel like you um resonate with uh someone who's maybe fatherless, someone who um maybe feels alone, maybe you are a widow, or you are um someone who um has been separated from family, God sets the lonely in family. And so God, I just thank you right now that you're reminding those who feel like they've been isolated, people who've been far from brothers and sisters in Christ, people who feel like they have been um outsides.

It's almost like you've been outcast. You are um not enough. But but I want to remind you God God sees it differently. He's not just looking from the outside. He's looking at the heart. He sees you. He knows you. He is for you. And he sets the lonely and family.

So wherever you are, whatever that looks like, I see you. I know there are a couple of you out there. Um, just I just want to I'm just going to um say it because who knows how it'll all work with names, but um I just say Janet, the Lord sees you. >> Yeah. >> Andrea, the Lord sees you.

Um I think there's a couple. Willie, the Lord sees you. >> If that is you, if these are um if there are people, Mike, the Lord sees you. John, the Lord sees you. If you feel like you've been in a hard season, if you feel like you've been alone, if you feel like friendships have been challenging, God, I pray for you to come in so close.

Invite the Lord into those places. Tell them, "This has been hard. This has been lonely. God, what does it look like to keep building relationships? We we um get to actually do this with the rest of the body of Christ. We don't have to be um an elbow separated from an arm.

We get to actually be connected to the rest of the body." And so if there are others um Moses, I see that here too. I even see a a testimony of glory um had a lone journey in the past until I found family. God, I just thank you, Lord, that there have been people who've been lonely or is isolated, but actually they've been put into family.

And God, we just say do it again. God, we ask it's it's uh Psalm 68:es. I read 4-6. God puts the lonely in family. That is verse 6 in the NIV translation. And the ESV said, "God settles the solitary in a home." God, I pray that you would minister deep to the body of Christ right now.

If that's you and you've just been like, "Oh, I just don't even know." God, that feels like me. That feels like what I've been struggling with. Holy Spirit, I just thank you for the promise that you put the lonely in family. And God, I pray for even breakthrough.

I pray for text messages to come in the next week. I pray for invitations over um dining tables, God, for people to have dinners or lunches or to go out for coffees, whatever it looks like. But God, that you would um you would even um put people on other people's hearts and minds, God, that they would reach out.

And I pray that even if you haven't been lonely, if you haven't been in that uh isolation season, but you recognize or you think that someone around you is maybe struggling, I urge you, I encourage you, reach out to them. Invite them to your dinner table. invite them into your family.

I'm a single woman and sometimes all I would want to do is sit at the dining table of the my friends who have kids and sometimes they're like, "But Cass, I think you're so busy." And I'm like, "All I would want to do is just sit and be with family."

And so if that's you and you're on the opposite end, I say invite them in. >> Invite the one who who is far from family. Invite the one who feels like might be struggling. God, I pray that the body would have eyes to see the lonely. I pray that the body would have eyes to see the lost, the ones who are hurting, the ones who are broken, God, that it's on both sides, >> both sides.

Yeah, we see you. Even if you've been feeling lonely, the Lord sees you. God, we pray that you would meet your kids right in the midst of loneliness, isolation, whatever it looks like, and that you would remind them that they are seen and known, that you love them, and that you put them in family. >> Yeah.

Yeah. >> Thanks, God. >> Yeah. I was having the same the same impression, Cassie. Um I was reminded of uh was Barnabas who went after the Apostle Paul. Is that how you guys say in English? >> Yep. >> Yeah. You know, like >> the greatest apostle. >> They brought him in.

He said he's one of us. >> He went over there to the city where the Apostle Paul was to bring him back. So if you're in pain, >> don't wait for somebody like to mysteriously to come after you, but ask for help. But also, if you're watching this and you're feeling great, you know, the Bible says that we're supposed to carry each other's burden. >> Yeah. >> So, go after somebody because we never know what can happen when a person is raised up again. >> Come on. >> You know, when the Holy Spirit anoints somebody, >> something happens. >> Come on. >> And through that, it's kind of like a seed that falls on the ground and dies. like a nation can be saved by a person who's completely surrendered to the Lord. >> So I really feel that the Lord is bringing us together as a family.

He's a father. That's one of the biggest part of his nature. He's a father. So we are all part of a big big family. We have members. We're members of each other. So I really feel that the Lord is bringing us together for us to not walk alone. >> I agree.

I agree guys. If we could give you a big hug, this is what it would look like. >> Imagine us with you giving a big hug. You can just receive it. If you're like, I don't know if anyone would come hug me. >> God sees you. >> We're not meant to do this alone.

We're not meant to walk alone. And we just pray that even this week that you would feel so encouraged. That you would feel hope. >> That even in those dry places that you would feel life coming in even in any areas where it feels like it hasn't had hope for a long time.

Um why don't we just why don't you just pray over them before we leave? Just any last prayer. We just want to bless you before we go for the week. >> Yes. God, we thank you. We thank you, God, because your God, Emmanuel, always with us. And it's not about what we did, but it's about who you are.

You're pursuing us all the days of our lives with goodness and loving kindness. God, I pray for peace to fill them. You're the prince of peace. Lord, I pray for peace over them. I pray for courage. I pray for boldness, God. And I pray for them to feel so loved.

So loved by you. Because this is our reality. We're so loved by you that they can we we can love you back. We can love you in return. Lord, I bless them. I bless their week with hope and peace in Jesus mighty name. Amen. >> Amen. Guys, we love you.

We bless you. >> Have an amazing week. >> Have an amazing week. He's there for you.
