How Jesus’ Resurrection Affects Your Daily Walk

Transcript

Let me just uh for a few minutes deal with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. 2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 8 and uh Pastor Tom if you don't mind you're going to read 1 Corinthians 15 verse 3 and right through verse 8 and then we'll continue from that.

So 2 Timothy 2 verse 8. Dan, thank you. Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel. >> 1 Corinthians 15:E3 through verse 8, please. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures, and that he was seen of Cphas then of the 12.

After that he was seen of above 500 brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are falling asleep. After that he was seen of James, then of all the apostles. And last of all, he was seen of me also as one born out of due time. >> Read the first portion one more time, but begin with verse one, please write to verse three, because I want to give you something really.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand, by which also ye are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain. >> Keep going. >> Keep going. >> For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received. >> So, he's giving us the gospel.

What is the gospel? In verse one, he starts by declaring. Read that one more time, please, sir. Verse one. >> Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received and wherein you stand. Stand. >> Keep going. >> By which also ye are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died >> for our sins according to the scriptures. >> So number one, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, meaning the Old Testament. So the gospel is number one, Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

Number two, >> and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. >> All right. Number two, he was buried. Number three, he rose from the dead according to the scriptures. That is the gospel that Jesus died for our sins, buried, and rose from the dead.

And then he continues and says, let's read that, >> and that he was seen of Cphas then of the 12. After that he was seen of above 500 brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain unto this present. But some are falling asleep. And after after that he was seen of James, then of all the apostles, and last of all he was seen of me also as one born out of duty. >> So he's talking about the bodily resurrection of the Lord.

The resurrection of the Lord speaks of his body being raised from the dead. The same body that was crucified, the same body that was buried. So let's go to second Timothy 2:8 one more time. Then >> remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel. >> Uhhuh.

So the gospel Paul clearly declares that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead according to the gospel he preached. So the body of Christ, his physical body rose from the dead. Now I think it's very important and let's go to first Peter chapter 3 now pastor Tom verse 18- 20 that we focus very clearly on the physical resurrection of Christ Jesus for Christ also had once suffered for sins the just for the unjust. that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by >> the flesh.

Being put to death in the flesh, keep going. but quickened by the spirit, by which also he went and preached unto the spirit in prison, which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was in prep was preparing, wherein few that is eight souls were saved by water.

So what was raised from the dead? His body was raised from the dead. It was his body in the grave. Peter makes it very clear also in this portion that his body rose from the dead. Now Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15 beginning at verse 12- 19. We need to see this repeatedly because this is so important for all of us to understand the power of what the Bible teaches on the resurrection.

So go ahead, Pastor Dan. 1 Corinthians 15:12-19. Now, >> now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen. And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching in vain.

Preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yay. And we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God, that he raised up Christ, whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised.

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain. Ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept. >> Now this is very important.

The first fruit. Say first fruit. >> Which means there are many fruits following. He's the first fruit of the resurrection. So Paul says that if the body of Jesus was not raised then our Christian faith is not true. Our faith is vain. We are of all people most miserable.

If the Lord did not rise, our message is a lie. And he says, "If our bodies will not rise, then the Lord did not rise from the dead." Now, let's go to Luke 24. When you read verse one to verse eight, Pastor Tom, I'm going to give you scriptures on this because I want to show you how important it is to believe that Jesus rose physically from the dead.

The same body that was nailed to the cross was raised from the dead. The same body that was buried was raised from the dead. That's the gospel. So in Luke 24:1-8, it says, >> "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sephila bringing the spices which they had prepared and set in others with them.

And they found the stone rolled away from the sephilar. And they entered in and found not the body of Jesus." >> Found not the body >> of the Lord Jesus. >> Keep going. And it came to pass as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth. They said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, saying, "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

And they remembered his words. Somebody say, "Hallelujah." >> Hallelujah. >> So here we read again that the angels told the women that the body of Jesus that was crucified was raised from the dead. The body of Jesus was raised from the dead and our bodies according to the scriptures will rise from the dead or Christianity is a lie.

That's what he said. So from start to finish we see clearly in the scriptures Jesus rose from the dead. Therefore we the believers according to 1 Corinthians let's go there again 15 verse 20 the Bible says that Jesus did rise from the dead and we shall be raised also.

So 1 Corinthians 15 verse 20 please. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. >> Hallelujah. >> Now, we've settled the fact that the Lord rose from the dead. Now, let's look at the character of our resurrection. All right.

So, we're going to read now 1 Corinthians 15 verse 35-38. Please, Pastor Tom. But some men will say, "How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou soest is not quickened, except it die. And that which thou seest, thou seest not that body that shall be, but bear grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some grain, of some other grain.

But God giveth it a body as it had pleased him, and to every seed his own body. The question is settled on his body was raised from the dead. Now here we are told that our bodies when they are raised will not be the same as the bodies when they're buried.

Now we're going to read one more time and Dan will do that this time. You're going to read from verse 35 right through verse 50. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> With pleasure. very slowly >> with pleasure. But some man will say, "How are the dead raised up?" >> Yeah.

No. So this is really important because here it shows us something very powerful. >> And with what body do they come? >> Keep going. >> Thou fool, that which thou seest is not quickened except it die. And that which thou seest, thou seest not that body that shall be but bear grain.

It may chance of wheat or of some other grain, but God giveth it a body as it pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beast, another of fishes, and another of birds.

There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial. But the glory of the celestial is one. And the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars. For one star differth from another star in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption. >> It is raised. >> It is raised in incorruption. Now we're getting somewhere beautiful here. It is raised a Keep going. >> It is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor. It is raised in glory. >> Keep going. >> It is sown in weakness.

It is raised in power. >> Keep going. >> It is sown a natural body. It is raised a spiritual body. Which means the death of your present body is the seed for the new one. >> Read that part again. >> It is sown in dishonor. >> No, read the whole portion there. >> So also is the resurrection of the dead.

It is sown in corruption. >> So it has to be sown and >> it is raised in incorruption. >> That's why we do not weep when the saints go home. There is no such thing in the believer's life as death. The body falls asleep because immediately we're with the Lord.

Second Corinthians 5, to be absent from the body is meaning we're present with the Lord. With the Lord we are simply changing location. That's all. That's it. So it is sown >> incorruption. >> Keep going. >> It is raised in incorruption. >> Keep going. >> It is sown in dishonor. >> It is raised in glory. >> Keep going. >> It is sown in weakness.

It is raised in power. >> Keep going. >> It is sown a natural body. It is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. >> I know you're going to stop here. I want to give you comfort all of you. Um, years ago I was listening to a woman named Kambboom.

Now Kambboom was from Holland, had gone through the concentration camps of Europe because they had Jews in their homes in Holland. And I heard her preach and I'll never forget her message on the glove. She took a glove and wore it and she and she held the glove like this and she said, "This is your body."

Then she took her hand and she said, "This is Jesus." And she talked about how you have to surrender to the Lord before he can use you completely. So she put two fingers on the glove. She said, "He still cannot use you fully." Then the third finger, "Well, he still cannot use you fully."

And the fourth, a whole sermon on full commitment to Christ. And finally, all five fingers were in. And she said, "Now I can play the piano. Now the Lord can use you." So I never forgot that my father smoked all his life when we lived in the in Israel here.

I I don't ever remember him not smoking. He smoked cigarettes every day all day long. And they did that here. That's they still do that here. Smoking is a big thing in Israel for some reason still. So at 58 he was gone. cancer in the lungs, it's gone young.

So the the whole family struggled with why. And my mom who was newly born again was upset. And I said, "Mom, you can't blame God." Because she said, "How can God allow it?" I said, "You can't blame God." I said, "God is not going to pull the cigarettes out of his mouth.

He chose to smoke. That's it. They blame God for all kinds of things. God had nothing to do with it. A lady went swimming, broke her neck, and the family blamed God. She never checked the depth of the water. I said, "You think God will turn the pool around just because you went swimming?

It's your fault, lady. You should have checked the water. Just plain common sense. That's it. You can't blame God. So anyways, I'm walking around just rejoicing and open casket, everybody's crying except me. Finally, I said, "Come here, all of you. Come here." I called my mom. I called my sister Rose.

I called all of them up. I said, "This is not dad. Stop crying. This is only his glove." And I told him what I heard from Gamboo. I said, 'Wh are you crying over a shell? I said, Paul the Apostle called this a tent. Why are you crying over a tent?

And they all kind of stopped crying and listened. And I had to rebuke them for crying over a tent. I said, "The Bible says this is only a shell. This is only a tent." I said, "My father is no longer in this body. He left this body. He's not in there.

Now the next day. Oh, you love this. Have you ever been to a Greek Orthodox church? Anybody's ever been to Greek? Are you Greek? Greek Orthodox. Okay, stand up, darling. Stand up. You were Greek Orthodox. Come here. Come here. Huh? Romanian, Russian, I don't care. Come here. They're all the same.

Orthodox is orthodox. Now, what is your name? >> Angela. Angela, come up here. Come on. Now, >> hello, darling. How are you, Angela? My Greek Orthodox friend. Now, you know that the Greek Orthodox, they dress like, you know, Abraham Lincoln. >> Yes. >> In black. You know, big hat, beard, crosses everywhere, right?

You wonder how they can walk with all those crosses on them. If they go swimming, they'll probably drown. Those poor people. They're so heavy, you know. So this priest, now my mom tells the priest, she says, and he was wearing all those big crosses, three of them. I think he had four on the And he had the hat, he had the robe.

He had three, four robes on that man. The poor guy. I wondered how he could walk. And he was he had a bad day that day. That poor guy. Most of them are so sad. You wonder why they're always mad at the world. Am I right? >> Yes.

Yes. Yes. >> Nobody smiles, right? >> No. No. >> She knows. She knows. And they and they and they chant a lot, right? >> Yes. >> Right. >> Yes. Yes. >> Okay. You're my witness. So this guy is chanting now. He's chanting and he's going around with the sensor.

You know, >> you've been there with the sensor. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. See, she she knows and and you're right behind go cuz your your Did you ever cough in church? >> Oh, yes. Me, too. So, anyway, so the guy's and everybody's crying. the whole place is crying and he's just going around and he's he's doing the incense on the on the casket, you know.

He's going around the casket and he's doing his thing, you know. So my mom says to the priest, he says, "Now my son will preach." And he said, "No, no, no, not here." "Oh yes, my son will preach," she said. And that he he just got mad. He really got mad.

That boy got mad. My mom and my mom is a tough woman. She said, "We're paying you. You do what we tell you." That's what she said. So, so he sat down. He sat down and fell asleep. I promise you, the poor guy, he got so he I think he got so tired from going around the casket that he just got tired and fell asleep.

So I come up and by this time, you know, everybody's still Well, you can go to your seat, darling. Thank just as a witness that that I'm right on all the incense and all. Yeah. Give her a big God bless. Huh? Okay. So So now he's he's in the back.

He's sitting on his chair. The the casket is here and he's over there and he's sitting and he's gone like, "God, I had to shake them all up." So I go down and I began pounding THE CASKET. POW. LIKE THIS. AND I SAID, I did that before God.

I SAID, "MY FATHER IS NOT IN THIS BOX. POW." AND THEY ALL WOKE UP. And he woke up. I promised you. I wish someone had taped me that day. I said, I was I was hitting that that thing hard. I said, "JESUS SAVED HIS SOUL." POW! I WAS HITTING THAT THING LIKE THAT.

I said, "My father right now is in heaven. Why are you crying for pow!" I'm hitting that thing and I began shaking. You know, it was on wheels. I began shaking. I shook it. Pastor Chris, I wish you knew me back then. I wish you were there. I began shaking.

It almost fell. I WAS I SAID MY FATHER IS NOT IN THE BOX. MY FATHER IS WITH JESUS. Why you people are crying for pow POW POW THEY ALL AND then I lifted my hands and I and I began singing then sings my soul my savior God to thee.

I began singing by myself. How great thou art. I'm telling you I sang to the Lord. Nobody now was crying. They were like that priest woke up. He was just staring at me. I preach the gospel. I preach the gospel to all of them. And when I was done, I give an altter call.

I give an alter call. No, I give an alter call with the casket. I was pounding that thing so hard it hurt my finger. They came. There had be 800 people in that church. Not one of them was born again. When I began pounding that casket and preached the gospel, they came down.

A lot of them came down and got saved. And my cousin, one of my cousins, Eddie, said, he said, "I've never seen anything like this in all my life." I said, "Why are you people crying when he's in heaven?" >> And I preach the gospel. >> Because I believe what I'm teaching. >> When my mom When my mom went to be with the Lord, 2017, I think it was.

I'm holding her hand. My mom I have it on tape. She was worshiping Jesus as she was going home. We were all crying. The whole family was was around worshiping because by then the whole family is saved, you know. It it it all be with a pow pow.

You know, they all got saved, man. They Yeah, you I shook them up. So, I'm holding my mom's hand as she's she was worshiping the Lord. Everybody's crying and I'm holding her hand and I'm singing and worshiping Jesus and suddenly she was she she was actually joking with me three hours be before she went home.

She was just laughing and we were having and it was her birthday. We we sang happy birthday to her the same day. She died on her birthday, May 3rd. Anyways, I'm holding her hand and I looked at the family. I said, "She's gone." And my sister Rose said, "How do you know?"

I said, "I just felt her leave. You can feel it. You can feel the life go." Within not even minutes, the hand went from warm and lively to cold and rubbery. It felt like almost like a not even flesh. It felt like something different. And I kissed her, walked out.

And my brother said, "Well, but they hadn't come to take the body." I said, "She's gone. I'm leaving." That's what I said. I said she she left. Well, come on, Benny. You know the body? I said, "The body is not my mom." That's what I said. I said, "She left, boys.

She's gone." So, since she's gone, I'm leaving. And I walked out and they were all looking at me like, "How can you leave?" I said, "Because she's gone." During the service, which I preached again, I was I was worshiping the whole time. I was walking with the casket singing.

That's our faith. >> Lift your hands and thank God for it. That's our faith. It is sown in dishonor. Read that again. >> It is sown in dishonor. It is raised in glory. >> Hallelujah. >> It is sown in weakness. It is raised in power. >> Can we lift our hands and praise the Lord?

Somebody here. Come on, pray in the Holy Ghost a second. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Blessed be your name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That's our faith. That's our faith. That's what the Bible says. >> We don't fear death. There's no such thing in the believer's life. >> All right. Shall we continue now?

The result. The result is incredible. Can I go on with the results now? >> Yes. >> Yes. >> Okay. Let's go to So, so I there's a lot here I'm really missing which because of time I want to show you. Let's go to first Peter, Pastor Tom. 1st Peter 1:21.

I'm going to show you the results of the resurrection of the Lord. His resurrection guarantees our resurrection. >> Yes. >> Because he rose, we will rise. We're not to fear death. Death is the seed for the new body. That's it. That's it. It is sown in dishonor, raised in glory, raised.

It is swn in a natural body, raised a spiritual body, a heavenly one. That's it. But now it still affects us today. The resurrection of Jesus affects you and me today. Look at what it says here. First Peter 1:21, please. >> Who by him do believe in God that raised him up from the dead and give him glory that your faith and hope might be in God. >> By the resurrection of the Lord, we receive a solid foundation for our faith.

That's what it says. Let's read that again please. Pastor Tom, >> who by him do believe in God that raised him up from the dead and gave him glory that your faith and hope might be in God. >> Ah that your faith and hope might be in God.

Why? Because of the resurrection. Now look at first Peter chapter 1 verse three and verse four there. Because it says by the Lord we have received a living hope. A living hope. Let's go. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy, hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. >> We have a living hope by the resurrection without the resurrection.

We cannot have a living hope. >> Keep going. Fear the verse >> to an inheritance incorruptible. Aha. By the resurrection, not only do we have a living hope, we have an inheritance that is not corruptable, an uncorruptible, undefiled, that will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you all by the resurrection. >> Read that again.

Read that again. BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. >> YEAH, IF YOU want to shout it, I'll let you. Brasa, WHICH ACCORDING TO HIS ABUNDANT mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, AND THAT FADETH NOT AWAY, RESERVED IN HEAVEN FOR YOU.

That is all by the resurrection of Christ from the dead. because he rose from the dead. The Bible tells me and tells you we have a living hope. We have an inheritance that is incorruptible. We have also not only that it's undefiled that will not fade away reserved in heaven for us.

Somebody say amen. >> Romans chapter 1 verse4 please Pastor Tom. By the resurrection, Jesus declared to be the son of God with power. >> And declared to be the son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead. >> Think about that.

That by by the by the resurrection from the dead. There is a declaration a declaration that Jesus is the son of God with power with power. NOT JUST WITH POWER. AMEN. >> And in Acts 17:31, Pastor Tom, please, by the resurre by the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, God has given you and I an assurance.

It says, >> because he had appointed a day in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he had ordained, whereof he had given assurance unto all men, in that he had raised him from the dead. That's incredible that by the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, God has given us an assurance unto all that he will judge the world in righteousness by Jesus Christ.

So the resurrection is the guarantee that he the Lord will judge in righteousness the whole world. Romans 4:25. Then let's read that. Look at those results of the resurrection in our own lives today. Let's go. Romans 5 uh 4:25. Go ahead. >> Who was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification. >> That's awesome.

By the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, we believers are justified, declared righteous by his resurrection. Think about that. His resurrection declares us righteous. >> Hallelujah. >> Did you get that? >> Yes, sir. >> By his res his resurrection declares us righteous. Dear God, how about how about Romans 7 verse4, Pastor Tom?

That's another option. >> Wherefore, my brethren, ye also have become dead to the law by the body of Christ, that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. >> That's incredible. That's incredible. It is through being joined.

Look, look. It is through being joined to the risen Lord that we bring forth fruit. Without being joined to the risen Lord, we cannot bring forth fruit. Read that again. Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ, that ye should be married to another, even to him who raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

So by being joined to the risen Lord, we bring forth fruit. >> Yes sir. >> Without being joined to the risen Lord, there is no fruit. >> How many want to have fruit in your life? The resurrection in because of his resurrection and you join married to the risen Lord.

Now you have fruit in your life. >> What pastor Chris was talking about earlier is because of the resurrection. >> You can't be filled with the Holy Spirit without that. Somebody shout hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Look at Romans 5:9 and 10. Dan. >> Oh, THIS IS A GLORIOUS ONE.

Romans 5 verse 9 and 10. >> Much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. >> Aha.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> So his resurrection will save us from wrath. It's because of his resurrection we are saved from wrath. Read that again. >> Oh my. >> Romans 9 and 10. 9 and 10. Much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Lift your hands, say, "I'm saved by his life." >> Say it again. >> Say it again. >> Ain't that powerful that we are saved by his life? >> Wow.

So, not just save from sin, but safe from wrath. Now, how about how about Romans 8 33:34? Through the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, we have an everliving high priest at God's right hand. That's what it says. Uh, dear Pastor Tom, Romans 8:33,34. >> Who shall lay anything to the church of God's elect? >> Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. >> It is God that justifith. >> Keep going. >> Who is he that condemned it?

It is Christ that died, yay, rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. That's incredible that through the resurrection of the Lord, we have an everliving high priest at God's right hand making intercession that we might be saved through the to the uttermost unto completion.

It says in Hebrews 7:25, through the resurrection somebody say hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> How about Ephesians chapter 1 verse 18 through verse 20? Then that is glorious. Yeah. Ephesians 1 18-20, please. the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, FAR above all principality, and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. >> Dear God, man, >> keep going.

Finish it up. >> And hath put all things under his feet, and gave to him to be the head over all things to the church, WHICH IS HIS BODY, THE FULLNESS OF HIM. >> WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. YOU MISSED. You said the church is the fullness of him. >> Wait, wait.

The church is the fullness of him. The church is what? >> The fullness. >> One more time. The church is the >> fullness of >> The church is the >> fullness of him. >> Finish it. >> Which is the fullness of him that fillth all in all. Ah, >> exceeding greatness of his power.

This has nothing to do with the power that created the world. >> This has to do with the power that keeps us. Amen. >> The power that keeps us is much greater than the power that created the world. >> Read it again. Exceeding greatness of his power which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead.

Pastor will say whenever we see the power displayed at creation, it says his mighty power. But whenever we see the keeping power, exceeding greatness of power, it's greater to keep you than create the world. >> Wow. >> Read that again. >> And what is the exceeding greatness? >> I feel like >> like like >> there's no like at least give me a high five.

They're gone, man. I can't handle it. >> Go ahead, read it. >> And what is the exceeding GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TO USWARD WHO BELIEVE? >> TOWARDS us who believe. ACCORDING TO THE WORKING OF HIS mighty power. >> That's it. Keep going. Keep going. >> Which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead. >> Okay.

Now watch, watch, watch. I went through three hurricanes. Three hurricanes. Okay. >> Yes, you did. >> Now, let's suppose let's suppose this was a candle. Okay. And I'm holding this candle and there's 80 or 100 miles an hour wind. Do you think this candle would stay lit? No way.

No way. There's a candle inside of you. There's a candle inside of you. And there's a hurricane satanic all around you. And that candle is still lit. >> He's keeping my light alive and your light alive. Well, the storm's outside and within. There's a storm out and a storm in.

Yet the light is still shining BY THE GREATNESS OF HIS POWER. >> Nothing can shake you. Nothing can change the power of God in you. No storm, no hurricane, no nothing on earth, no power on earth can shake what God has placed in your life. >> The exceeding greatness of his power.

Hallelujah. I said hallelujah. I said hallelujah. >> Think about what what I just said. If a candle if if a candle can stay lit by the winds of a hurricane, you say, "Oh, that's a miracle. Your candle is lit." And that hurricane has been going on in your life since your salvation.

The devil has come all around you and comes and that candle keeps shining and shining and shining. No, no power can put that candle out. Why? Because he's living inside of you. That's why. Lift your hands and praise his holy and glorious name. NO POWER CAN GET NEVER can you be defeated.

Nobody can be defeated. LOOK LOOK. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE defeated as a Christian. >> The only people that get defeated are those who decide to be defeated. I'll never be. >> The only people who get defeated are those who >> consent to be defeated. >> We will never be defeated. >> We cannot be defeated.

We cannot lose. We are victorious because the ONE WHO IS VICTOR HIMSELF IS IN US. >> Somebody say praise the Lord. exceeding greatness of his power that he that he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead. And we are the fullness of him who fills all in all.

ALL RIGHT. 1 Thessalonians 4:14. And still God, I want to shout. I'm I'm I'm gonna holding myself back here. First Thessalonians 4:14 and 2 Corinthians 4:14. But first, >> for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. >> Aha.

Read that again, please. Pastor Tom, I love it. >> For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. >> That's what I tell people when loved ones go home. I said, "Wait a minute. It says if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which sleep, they'll come back with which means they're with him now. >> And then if you look one more time at this amazing scripture, Pastor Tom with me please. 2 Corinthians 4:14.

Please, if you don't mind. 2 Corinthians 4:14. Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus and shall present us with you. >> Ah his resurrection guarantees ours. >> Read that again. >> Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also >> shall raise us up also.

He that raised Jesus will raise us up. He that raised Jesus will raise us up >> by Jesus and shall present us with you. >> Say, "He that raised up Christ will raise me up." Say it. >> He that raised up Christ will raise me up. >> Say it again. >> He that raised up Christ will raise me up. >> Say it again. >> He that raised up Christ has raised up. >> We're looking forward to that moment, right?

Of course we are. Look at I'm almost done. It's I have 12 results. I'm I'm almost there. Okay. So, number 11. Acts 13 verse 32 and 33. This is so incredible because here we see that the the resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the fulfillment of the promise made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

This is very important here. Very important here. Acts 13 32 33. Pastor Tom please. >> And we declare unto you glad tidings. How that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God had fulfilled the same unto us their children in that he had raised up Jesus again. >> This is amazing.

This is amazing. The promise made unto the fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God has fulfilled through the resurrection of Christ. >> Hallelujah. >> Keep going. in that he had raised him raised up Jesus again as it is al also written in the second psalm thou art my son this day have I begotten thee >> wow >> now now now wait this is this this is going to even get a little a little warmer here please um Dan Acts 3 verse 25 and 26 please go ahead ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, and in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth. >> Now, now pay attention to what he's going to read.

Unto you first God, having raised up his son Jesus, sent him to bless you. Oh ho, ho ho ho ho ho. He raised him up to bless you, >> not with money. Read it again. Unto you. First, God having raised up his son Jesus sent him to bless you in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

So, how do you bless the people of God? How do you bless them? It says very clearly that the resurrection of the Lord fulfilled the promises made to Abraham. We just read it in Acts 13. Did you did you read it? >> Shall we reread it, Pastor Tom?

Just in case somebody missed it. Acts 133. >> And we declare unto you glad tidings. how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God had fulfilled the same unto us their children in that he had raised up Jesus again as it is also written in the second psalm thou art my son this day have I begotten thee >> so God's promises to Abraham Isaac and Jacob were fulfilled by the resurrection of Christ because he said we meaning the Jews we their children, he fulfilled.

And then in Acts 3:25 and 26, read that again. >> Ye are the children of the prophets, >> you're the children of the prophets, >> and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, >> and of the covenants, >> saying unto Abraham, and in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth, >> in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

And and and what? unto you, first God. >> Unto you first, God, >> having raised up his son, Jesus, sent him to bless you in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. In thy seed shall all be blessed, he said to Abraham. How did it happen? when he raised the son from the dead in Genesis 22:18.

In Genesis 12:3, God said, "Your seed, through your seed, I will bless the world." Who's the seed? Christ. >> How did he bless the world? Resurrection. >> Now they can be saved. He said the same to Isaac in Genesis 26:4 in Galatians 3:16. So, how do we bless the Jewish people?

With money or the gospel? >> You got it. It's not with money. It's with the gospel. And some still have not learned that. They haven't learned that God has sent him to bless you through the resurrection. That's the book of Acts. If you're angry at me, be angry at Peter, not me.

I didn't say it. He said it. I'm just reading what what what he said. Acts 13:3233. Acts 3:25-26. If you have a problem, you have a problem with him. So when you get to heaven, talk to him. Don't talk to me. And the people said, >> now number 12.

And I'm done. Ephesians 1 17 through 23. Because of the resurrection, the Bible says the Lord has all power. Read it for me. Go ahead. Go ahead. that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding, being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the sense, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.

Far above all principalities, >> all principalities >> and power >> and power >> and might and might >> and dominion and dominion and every name is named Keep going. >> Not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, and had put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that fleth all in all.

I want you to stand up and give Jesus the biggest shout of hallelujah. >> Come on, praise him. Praise him. Praise him. Praise him. Praise him. Lift your hands and glorify his name. Come on. >> What a time to become a partner with Benny Hinn Ministries. Right now, a wave of revival is sweeping across Africa and around the world.
