Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Let me tell you, I'm the president of Shabbach Ministries and today is Shabbach Ministries Day. [screaming] We are celebrating 30 years, our 30th year anniversary today. So, we're so glad that you're here with us. Do us a favor. Just drop in the chat where you are, where, which country, which state, which continent continent. Just let us know where you are on the planet because we're so grateful that you've carved out the time to be with to be with us. [laughter] I'm not by myself and I'm glad I'm with I'm with Miss Latricia Loftton. Ah, [screaming] so happy to be here. I'm always happy to be with my sister. Um, she is the president, as she said, of Shabbach Ministries and she's so amazing and she's celebrating 20 years of being the president. And so, we are so grateful to you and we celebrate you. As my mom said, you celebrate all year long where you have an anniversary. But before we go any further in reference to Shabbach day, we need to go back to next s last Sunday. Last Sunday. So, why don't we run it back? ((music playing)) >> I know. ((music playing)) >> Come on, say, "But I know." >> But I know he'll be right. ((music playing)) >> Yeah. I'm a But I know. >> ((music playing)) >> And yet, what are you going to do? Paul and Silas, in the midst of their circumstances, worship God. ((applause)) Oh, I I feel a shout right there. Somebody better pray. Lord, help me to be sold out to you and love you enough that if I get fired from my job, if I get talked about, if I get criticized, if all my friends turn their back on me, I will still love you. I will still worship you. I will still give you the praise and the honor. Do we have anybody here who says I am in that camp? So good, right? Oh, so good. We are so blessed to have a shepherd that is just on fire, anointed, and just listens to God to know exactly what to pour into his sheep. >> That's right. >> I mean, a moment of crisis. >> We always We're always walking in and out of crisis and challenges. You know what I'm saying? And we need to be equipped to know what to do when we're in that season. >> Absolutely. You know what blessed me the most? What >> it blessed me when he said, "Don't let just anyone prophesy over you." >> Come on. >> If God has a message for you, he gives it to you first and somebody else can confirm it, but he's not going to send your mail to somebody else's mailbox and another thing. >> Come on. I like that. >> Suddenly, you're not going to send your mail to somebody. >> Suddenly happens in your life, too. So, praise our God. That bless my socks off, >> baby. That's the Reverend Cynthia J. Terry. Okay. [laughter] >> So, family. Yes. And you you know what? If you've ever missed a message, no worries because you can go to our website, okay, all the time, fbcgllinard.org/mes messages and catch up on anything, anything. Now, let's talk about today. >> Today is Shabbach day. >> Shabbach [screaming] day. Shabbach is a um Hebrew word that means loud resounding shout of praise unto the Lord. And wait until you hear the message. The message is a Shabbach message. Praise our God. >> Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Before we talk about Shabbach, we want you guys to check in as Reverend Terry asked and we want to shout you out cuz we're so excited that you're here. So, do you want to hit the international? >> Absolutely. Biz. Um, United Kingdom, Portugal. Wow. >> Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Japan. >> Come on. >> Wow. >> Barbados, Uganda, South Africa, Trinidad, and Tobago. Canada, Ireland. [laughter] I want to go to Ireland. Dominican Republic where my husband's family is from. >> Oh, yes. >> And there. Yes. Okay. And then on the state side, Florida, Oklahoma, South Carolina, New Jersey, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, Woo, y'all. Alabama, Missouri, the list goes on and on. For those of you who don't know what Shabbach is, Shabbach is the community arm of First Baptist Church of Glennard and International. It is the heart of our pastor. for Shabbach to help to be the hands and feet of Jesus. That's right. Feeding and clothing and you know and helping people to find employment. >> Absolutely. >> And so family, let people know that it's time, Reverend Terry, it's time. >> It's time. >> It is time. >> So family, >> go right ahead. You go ahead. >> It's time for a church. [screaming] >> Well, praise the Lord everybody. It's a day that the Lord has made. Can we give Jesus a praise for his kindness, his goodness, and his faithfulness? >> Hallelujah. I ((music playing)) told the 8:00 congregation a conversation that I had this week with one of my confidants. And one of the things I wanted to encourage her to that I want to encourage you with is we're living in a time where there's war all around us, but there's a lot of spiritual war going on. And there's a lot of fight for the enemy trying to keep you from praising your God. The Bible says that everything that is breathing has the responsibility of praising ((music playing)) God. Praise has a sound to it. I need us to practice this morning. Give Jesus a great praise. I need us to open our mouths and lift our praise to heaven so that heaven ((music playing)) can receive it and we can receive from heaven. Come on, lift your voice like thunder and praise ((music playing)) Jesus. Won't you? Won't you help me lift him today? He said if I'm lifted, I'll draw all men unto me. I feel Jesus. ((music playing)) Won't you help me lift him? Won't you help me lift him? I need somebody to help me lift him. I hear you, Captain, but I dare you to say something to Jesus. I hear you, Kevin, ((music playing)) but I dare you to raise a praise with your mouth. Hallelujah to Jesus. Glory to the name of the Lord. Come on, beloved. Lift Jesus. We ((music playing)) got dressed to praise him. We drove here to praise him. Got our good clothes on to ((music playing)) praise him. Since you're here, you might as well give him what belongs to him. Oh, that men would ((music playing)) praise him for his goodness and his wonderful works to the children of men. Anybody grateful today that Jesus ((music playing)) has kept you. Jesus has watched over you. Jesus has made a way for you. I need somebody to help me lift Jesus. Come on, lift ((music playing)) him. Lift him. Lift him. Lift him. Blow your trumpet in Zion. Sound the alarm. That's it. ((music playing)) That's it. That's it. That's the sound of victory. That's the sound of victory. And you going to need ((music playing)) victory this week. You're going up against the devil, but you need to know that he's greater in you than the world ((music playing)) against you. You need to know that no weapons formed against you will ever prosper. ((music playing)) Come on, lift that praise to Jesus. It's in your belly. It's in ((music playing)) your belly. That praise brings healing. That praise brings healing. That praise brings healing. Hallelujah. ((music playing)) Hallelujah. I feel Jesus in this place. Come on, beloved. There's a victory ((music playing)) in this place. It has got your name on it. And it's got your name on it. Hallelujah to Jesus. ((music playing)) Glory to the name of the Lord. Hey, hey, hey. Glory to the ((music playing)) name of the Lord. Hallelujah. Yes, sir. Hallelujah. Father, we give you praise for your name. We exalt you and we glorify you. We count it a privilege to be where you are. We are standing on our tiptoes in anticipation of what you will do, what you will say. We thank you for the victory of your presence. We thank you, Lord God, that the enemy is already defeated and you are exalted. We give you praise. Move by your spirit, Lord Jesus, and show yourself to be strong in the name of the Lord Jesus. Everybody who believes him, begin to praise him like they're losing their mind. Everybody who believes him, begin to praise him like they're losing their mind. Come on, make some noise. ((music playing)) >> Jehovah, you I trust >> I trust. >> Come on, let's go. >> In [music and singing] you, >> oh Lord. >> Oh Lord, >> Jehovah, >> Jehovah, you >> I trust >> I trust ((music playing)) >> in you. And ((music playing)) >> goodbye to my heartache. >> Goodbye to my problems. ((music playing)) >> Goodbye to my fear. >> Goodbye to defeated. Bye-bye. >> Goodbye to defeated. Come on. Give him the glory. Give him the praise. Give him the glory. Give him the praise. Hallelujah to Jesus. Hallelujah. I woke up this morning. I felt really Baptist and I wanted to take us to a Baptist church for real quick. There is a name I love to ((music playing)) hear. Come on. I love [singing] to sing its words. ((music playing)) It sounds [singing] just like music in ((music playing)) >> the sweetest name. >> The sweetest name on earth. >> Come on, let's go in concert. Oh, how I love him. Well, I want to invite those in the chat. We have over 26 states and 17 countries joining with us in this worship spirit experience this morning. Why don't we just give them a shout out? And while you're joining with us, uh why don't you let us know and grab your Bibles and your Bible apps to read along with me. Today's scripture verse, it's taken from Isaiah 40:es 28-31. I'm going to read from the New King James Version and it reads as follows. Have you not known? >> Have you not heard >> the everlasting God, >> the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might. He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall. But but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. We know that the word of God is already blessed. So let us pray. Oh heavenly father, compassionate father, loving father. Oh we come this morning expecting a word from you. Hallelujah. [snorts] We thank you for our pastor and the message. We trust and believe it's going to fall on fertile tool today, Lord God. Lies will be transformed because, Lord God, we're coming submitted unto you. Now, Holy Spirit, we ask, Lord God, to have your way today. Remove all distractions so that we can hear clearly from you, Lord God. And Lord, we praying for those who are unsaved, unsure, backsliden, unchurched. Today, they will respond to you and surrender their lives. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray these in all things. Amen. >> Amen. Hi, I'm Cynthia Terry, president of Shabbach Ministries, and today is Shabbach Ministries Day. This year we're celebrating 30 years of being the nonprofit of the First Baptist Church of Glenn Arden, the fabulous First Baptist Church of Glenn Arden. Special thanks to our pastor, to our CMO, first lady, and the elders and our leaders for supporting us for over 30 years. It's also my 20th year. It doesn't look like it. Tell your neighbor, doesn't look like it. 20th year of being the of leading the nonprofit. And I praise God for that honor. and that privilege. You know, we have two divisions in Shabbach. One is our career services division and one is our community services, our emergency resource center. Our emergency resource center is led by Miss Alfred, Miss Gwen Alfreda Mackey Pope. Y'all know I had to go into training for that. And our careers division and marketing is led by Miss Latricia Loftton. Can I tell you we cannot do what we do without our volunteers. Our volunteers are our strength. So can we have all of our volunteers to please stand all over? There are volunteers all over. Thank you. Thank you. We are so grateful for all that you give so unselfishly to Shabbach. We also have our a couple of our board members with us. Could you stand? And even if you are a previous board member of Shabbach, could you please stand? So, we're grateful to God for everyone that helps us to be all that God has called us to be. on the screen you'll see a QR code that you can get more information about Shabbach as well as volunteering with us. You'll also see it in the Northx. You'll see that QR code out there as well. And now we would just like to show you a little video about some of the things that have blessed us over the 30 years. We clap our hands in Ministries. Hearts on [music and singing] fire. >> Chainful. We are free. Voices rising. Joy. We got to ((music playing)) sing. >> This is ((music playing)) Hello everyone. I'm Cynthia Terry and this is Shabbach Live. Thank you for joining us because this is Shabbach's 30th anniversary and it's Shabbach Ministries Day. I have a special guest here with us today and she used to work for Shabbach. ((music playing)) Her name is Reverend W. Nikki Pearson. Thank you so much. >> It's a pleasure to be here. >> Oh, I know how busy you are. I'm just so excited that you had an opportunity to stop by. So we could just talk a little bit about what you've done, what you did with Shabbach when you were with us and things that you're continuing to do to love and serve the community. We've got a lot of people that are are homeless, a lot of people who don't have food money to purchase food and and utilities are astronomical. And so the the role that I play now at First Baptist Church of Glenn Arden still connects with the community and Shabbach because we refer people back to Shabbach to the pantry. Anybody who's in need if you come to the empowerment center, if you come to the church, we're going to try to meet that need. But if we can't meet the need at the church, we certainly refer them to Shabbach. But then we've got our community um partners as well. So it's a community effort still. Now this next segment I call the sound of ((music playing)) victory. >> The sound of victory. The sound of victory. >> Hello everyone. My name is Barbara Holtzer. My first job here at First Baptist Church of Glenn Art was with Shabbach. I was the director of fund development. I was the one that had to help raise ((music playing)) funds for Shabbat. And we did that through the golf tournament. We hosted the first golf tournament and we hosted the first gayla. The first gayla we had Melba Moore. Can you believe it? And now 30 years later, I am making even a larger impact because you gave me an opportunity. We're now global from the community ((music playing)) to the county to the country to all of the continents because of Shabbach. Thank you for allowing me to be part of ((music playing)) the Shabbach family. Shabbach wouldn't have been able to exist as long as it has, 30 years, without faithful volunteers. Please join me in welcoming Mother Zarita Young. We are so happy to have you join us >> and I'm so glad to be here. So, if you could tell me one of the greatest experiences that you had at Shabbach, what would that be? >> When I heard the numbers that were given during our recent church meeting, >> of the numbers of families that we have served in the past year. >> And the numbers of bags of groceries that we took the time to pack. We're helping people >> in their time of need >> and they don't have to feel defeated, right? >> They don't have to feel like they're asking for charity. >> They're called clients. >> Yes. Yes. >> And that's the way they're treated by our brothers and sisters. >> Thank you for joining us for this episode of Shabbach Live. We thank all of our guests and we thank all of you. See you next time. God bless you. >> Oh, okay. Let's go. Okay. Praise the Lord, saints. Hallelujah. This is time now, an amazing time. It's called We continue our praise and our worship of our Lord and Savior through our tithes, our gifts, and our offerings. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. And we see how much kingdom building work is taking place through First Baptist Church of Glennard International through your generosity. And another highlight is our institutes. Our institute classes are starting up and people are getting equipped, being discipled to share the good news of Jesus Christ because of your generosity. So we thank you. You can give several ways. You can go online to fbcgllinard.org/give and follow the many options available there. You may also, if you're here in the physical sanctuary and you would like to give check your cash, there's some envelopes in the seat back pocket in front of you. you can fill it out and at the conclusion of today's service just drop it off at one of the receptacles. If you need assistance with that, please ask one of our ushers who would love to serve you. And also you can mail it in. Um you just go to the website and uh you can mail it to our ministry center and we appreciate you for your cheerful and generous giving. Let us pray. Father, we thank you. We love you and we want to praise and worship you through our giving because we know Lord God you're going to use it for your glory in Jesus name. Amen. ((music playing)) >> ((music playing)) ((music playing)) >> Praise the Lord, my coner. [singing] He has never failed ((music playing)) me yet. Through all [singing] my trials, ((music playing)) tribulations, he will deliver the greatest one. He's God. ((music playing)) Great is [singing] the Lord myer. ((music playing)) Heat. Heat. ((music playing)) ((music playing)) Heat. Heat. ((music playing)) Heat. Heat. ((music playing)) ((music playing)) Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. I know I'm ready for the word. Hallelujah. So, why don't you join with me in welcoming and receiving our senior pastor, John K. Jenkins, Senior. Hey, Pastor. Thank you, sir. Okay. I love you too. >> I want to celebrate the uh uh fellowship corral for reminding us about the mighty God that we serve. While you're standing, I want to salute Shabbach Ministries. Congratulations on 30 years and uh thank Reverend Cynthia Terry for providing stellar leadership um for the ministry and all of those volunteers and board members and all of those who are serving to help impact our community. Uh, our church does a lot in the community and a great part of that is due to the volunteers in Shabbach and I want to salute you and tell you how proud I am of you. Father, we thank you for waking us up this morning and giving us the activities of our limbs. We thank and praise you, Father, for the opportunity to give you praise and give you worship and to celebrate you for how good you have been to us. We pray this morning, Father, that you will continue to use Shabbach and use this church to help and bless the lives of hurting people. We pray that your name gets all of the glory and all of the honor. Anoint us to be your mouthpiece for these next few moments. Allow your name to get the glory. I pray, Father, that if somebody's unsaved, you will draw them. Somebody's backsliding, draw them to your kingdom. Somebody unsure, somebody who's disconnected, draw them, heavenly Father. And when it's all said and done, it is our desire that your name gets the glory and the honor in Jesus' name. Amen. >> Give somebody a hug before you sit down. For much of my life, I have had to deal with and handle depression, stress, frustration. ation, disappointment, and growing up as a teen, I didn't quite know how to do it. If you don't know how to deal with discouragement and depression in God's way, it can have a devastating impact on your life. >> It can impact your decisions. It can impact your relationships. It can impact your own sanity. And I want to give you a I want to talk today from a passage that God gave me years ago to help me uh deal with my depression. And I believe it'll help some of y'all whether you know it or not. Somebody on your road is struggling with depression. >> Don't look up and down. You might send them into further depression. Don't look up and down the road. Uh God does have solutions and answers. And Psalm 147, that's what I want you to turn to today. Psalm 147 is a passage that God used to help me. And that's what I want to talk with you about today. Amen. Psalm 147. And um uh since I've got this is one of those passages that help deliver me from the slump of discouragement uh from being emotionally, mentally, physically drained cuz life has a way of sapping your strength. >> When you when you look at those bills and you ain't got the money, that's discouraging. Uh, look at your relationships. When your children don't do what you want them to do, when you know you taught them, right? >> Yes, I did. >> I I [laughter] you teach them one thing and they do the very opposite of what you told them to do. >> Um, your health your health can depress you >> when you get sick. When you have I have I have diabetes, [singing] high blood pressure. I take 12 pills every day. Don't matter how much I walk, exercise, try to eat right, is a struggle. >> And if you look at your circumstances of your life and only focus on that, >> it will make you get depressed. >> Do I have any witnesses here to that? I believe God wants to raise up a generation for us not to be controlled by depression or discouragement. So Psalm 147 I want to walk down through here and talk about matter of fact I God gave me Psalm 147 and spoke to me and helped me learn how to uh give him praise. One of the signs of maturity is when you can learn how to worship and give God praise. Regard Don't clap yet. Don't clap till I say it. Just wait. Yeah. Uh, now I forgot what I was about to say. >> Oh yeah. When you can learn to worship God even when everything around you is haywire and jacked up. >> When you can genuinely from the bottom of your heart >> give God praise. >> And I'm thankful to God that he has brought me to a place in my life that regardless of what is happening on the outside, God has given me something on the inside to be able to deal with. uh my uh oldest child, my oldest daughter, my my wife's not oldest daughter. I won't call I won't call Sarah by name. I won't call her name out. When she graduated from college, she got a job in um Florida. So my wife and I made arrangements to help her get that help her move to Florida and got her apartment and furniture and um we helped her uh get settled in and she got a she had a job and and we took the time went out and helped to you know get everything set. My wife is the the consumate interior decorator. Yeah, she's good at that. That she should she she she should go ahead and start a company and start making some money from it. She should. And so, uh, when we got all set in now, now we we're going to the airport and we're headed back to Maryland. Here's what she said to us. Bye. I had expectations that she might say, "Mom and dad, thank y'all for taking out the time and thank you for helping me get settled in. Thank you for the resources. Thank you. Thank you for taking me shopping. Thank you for the furniture that y'all bought for me. Thank you for all that y'all did to help me get settled in another part of the country. Thank you for helping me. Is that what she said? No. She said bye. If the truth be told, some of you have had God do spectacular things for you, and you've never taken the time to say, "Thank you for opening up doors. Thank you for the job that you gave me. Thank you for healing me from sickness and diseases. Thank you for all that you have done for me." You didn't say anything to him. Don't you think God is worthy of >> some kind of expression of gratitude? He didn't have to do it. >> Somebody ought to say, "I'm thankful that God blessed me even though I didn't deserve it. I didn't earn it. He didn't give me what I earned. He I didn't deserve the blessing that he gave me. I didn't deserve it." God wants to raise us up to be a people who have the ability and the capacity to worship him for the things he has done. And hold up, wait a minute. I got to say something else. And to thank him ahead of time for the stuff he's going to do. That would be meaningful to God. And so I I want to spend these next few moments Psalm 47. Help me. It's 147. That's the passage I want to talk to you about today. Psalm 147. I'm I'm titling this message the reason why I shall bo the Lord. >> Tell you about help me give you that explanation in me. Somebody say the reasons why I shall the Lord. >> The word Shabbach, this is if you look at Psalm 147 verse 12. Verse 12, it says, "Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem. Praise your God, O Zion. Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem. Praise, Praise your God, O Zion. That word, that first word praise is the Hebrew word shabbach. And that word shabbach in the Hebrew word means to make a loud noise unto God. It means to open your mouth, clap your hands, make some kind of an expression and some kind of noise to the God that we serve. Matter of fact, it says, "Praise your God, Zion." I like that verse right there. I like that expression there. It's here. Here's what that means. It says, "Oh Zion." Zion is the place where God dwells. God Zion is the location of God's holy city. That's what Zion means. It means Zion means this represents being in God's perfect will. And here's what I'm learning. I'm learning that whether you are in Jerusalem or Zion, whether you're on your way to Zion or whether you've arrived at Zion, Jerusalem means I'm on my way somewhere. Whether I've gotten to where I'm going or whether I've gotten there already, God is worthy of some kind of expression from you to give him glory. And that's this is why I'm giving God the praise. Here's what I'm trying to get you to understand. Regardless of the drama that you might be in, regardless of the circumstances that you might face, regardless of the burden, regardless if nothing's going the way you want it, regardless of what your circumstances might look like, we serve a God who is worthy of us giving him praise and giving him celebrations. Guess what? Because even if you're not there yet, you're on your way to get there. >> Do I have anybody here that believes I'm on my way? I ain't got there yet, but I'm on my way. I haven't arrived yet, but I'm on my way. Amen. And I know sooner or later, ultimately somehow someway, the God that I serve is so real and so alive and so vibrant at some point in the midst of my circumstances, he's going to get me to the being in his perfect will for my life. And he's been so good to me over the years that I don't have to wait until I get there. I can go ahead and praise him even before I arrive. Can I get an amen right there from anybody? >> That's what God all here's here's the measurement. Here's the evaluation of spiritual maturity. that you can worship and give God praise even when things are not going the way you want them to go. >> That's how you know you've arrived to some level of maturity if you still complaining and still moping. Uh your capacity to worship and praise God. Um uh I was talking to my that same daughter. She's a basketball coach. She coaches basketball. She's a college head coach of a college basketball team and they ain't doing too good right now. She's complaining and uh sad that they just they're not doing well. So I said to her uh on the phone yesterday before her again they had a game yesterday and I said to her uh let me tell you what real drama is. If you're complaining cuz your team ain't winning. Let me tell you about my prayer partner. One of my prayer partners. I got, you know, multiple prayer partners. And I I have a prayer partner whose wife has been sick with an incurable disease that she doesn't even want to get up every day for over 30 years. For over 30 years, she's fighting and wrestling sickness and a disease that cannot be cured. And just one year ago, their daughter, this this guy's daughter uh was overseas and got sick and uh had to come back to the United States. And when she got back to the United States, the doctors discovered what it was. They didn't know what it was for a long time. She too has a disease that is she's in so much pain and so much uh frustration and disappointment that she doesn't even want to live. And I said to my thought, I said, "You complaining cuz your basketball team won't do what you want to do. Let me tell you what something really is something worth." And yet this guy in the midst of the pain of his wife and his daughter gives God the praise every day. So, I'm going to give you four reasons why I'm learning to praise the Lord to help pull me up out of my depression every day. >> Four things I want to tell you. And guess what? I made it easy. They all begin with P. Go ahead, pastor. All of my points that I am presenting to you during this presentation begin with a P. Go ahead. Praise the Lord. Say, "Thank God they all begin with P." Here's what verse 12. I just read verse 12. Do you praise the Lord, oh Jerusalem? Praise your God, O Zion. I love that right there. Uh verse 13, for he has strengthened. Verse 13, for he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has strengthened the bars of your gates. Here's something to praise God for is for his protection. Verse 13, first part of verse 13, he's protecting you. I don't know whether you know it or not, but life could be a lot worse for you than it is. Somebody ought to give God the praise. He's protected me. I should have died from cancer, but he protected me. I wish I could Somebody could give God the praise. I should have lost my job, but he protected me. Woo! I'm giving God the praise that he is a He He put Somebody said, "You don't you know the devil wants to frustrate you, defeat you, harm you. He wants you to quit. He wants you to lose everything you have. But I'm thanking God today that he did not let the enemy do to me what he desired to do to me. He protected me." Can well. Anybody here know God is a protector? Anybody here knows no weapon formed against you can prosper. Somebody give God the praise. He protected me. Thank him that he kept you on your side of the highway and the other person on their side of the highway. He protected you. You should have had a disease that should have taken you out, but he protected you. I want us to recognize that we serve a God that is a protector of you. I'm thanking God that he protected me from stuff that I didn't even know that I had should the risk of having happened to me, but he protected me. ((cheering)) Thank you, Lord. He strengthened the bars >> of your gates. >> That means protection. >> The devil can't harm you. >> The devil can't do anything to you that God does not allow him to do to you. And that's enough just to shout about right there. Somebody look at your neighbor and say, "You deserve to give God more praise than you've given him." But look at look look. You ought to be thanking God cuz something could have happened to you that didn't happen to you. >> He deserves some praise from you. He deserves more than a by. He deserves more than a nod. He deserves some hands being raised. He deserves some mouth being open. He deserves a dance. He deserves some celebration. Thank you that you have protected me. Somebody say protection. Protection. Protect. Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. I got to hurry up. Here's number two. >> It's in verse 13, too. He has blessed your children within you. >> I'm about to run around the building right here on this point right here. He has protected the children within you. >> Y'all, y'all see y'all don't get it. This just let me c let me let me give y'all some explan let me make you understand what this means. He says he says he's protected the children within you. >> Now get this. Here it is. Here it is. Here's here's where the blessings of God folds out. This is what God here's what our community has not yet learned. >> And let me try to make you learn this because I I I say it to y'all all the time but y'all don't I don't know if y'all get it. and question it whether you get it. Cuz here's what God is trying to tell us. God God is saying, "I'm I I got a reward for the children coming out of you." >> It still went over your head. Let me let me rewind and give it back to you. Cuz what God is ultimately saying is what I'm doing is I'm setting up stuff for the children that have not yet even come out of you yet. >> And I know what that means. What God has made me to understand is that he has a reward and a blessing for my grandchildren. Y'all ain't hear what I'm saying. Somebody say, "My grandchildren." You know what's wrong with this culture? We spend so much time taking the resources God has given to us and spending it on us when God gave it to you. Not for us, but for your children's children. >> I want y'all to get that. You need to understand what God flows through you, what God puts in your hand is not for you to buy a fancier car or a bigger house or spend more money on more expensive clothes. God gave it to you that you might be pouring into your grandchildren. Don't you know that your children are most of y'all children are grown? Y'all got grown rockhead kids. It ain't for your kids. is for your children's children. >> Proverbs 13:13, Proverbs chapter 13 says, "A good man will put his inheritance in his children's children." My wife got that. She got it. She got it. She got She understands it. She she she's This is We You know, y'all know I'm retiring in 3 years, right? >> Don't act like y'all don't know. I've been telling y'all that for and and the uh we trying to figure out where we going to move. >> Cuz we downsizing. >> Yeah. Ain't no need to me holding on to no house. >> My house got six bedrooms in it for cuz we got six kids. >> Amen. >> Amen. >> They gone. They have graduated from college. They they they got jobs. They are able to take care of themselves. >> My my responsibility is to help my children raise their children. >> Are y'all Are y'all with me, y'all? The claps are getting lower and lower and lower. So, so I I'm telling my wife, it's time for us to sell this house. >> We don't need no six bedrooms. She said, "You're going to have a bedroom and I'm going to have a bedroom." The answer, "No, no, no, no, no, no. Whatever room you going in, I'm coming right to whatever room you in. I'm trying to find some warm climate to move in. I'm trying to get somewhere where there ain't no snow, ain't no 30° weather. She says, "I don't want to be far from the grandchildren. Then she start quoting scripture for the a good man inheritance is in his children's children. >> And she's right. >> I want to try to pull you away from the mentality that your retirement years and the older years you're in that you're only taking care of yourself. You should be pouring into your children's children. >> See, here's the difference between the 8:00 and the 10:00 crowd. The 8:00 crowd stood up and clapped. They were so excited. They That's the old crowd. this 10:00. Y'all still wrestling with it because y'all didn't not a single one of y'all stood up to say that. And yet this is children. But I'm telling you, here's point two. Point two is I'm praising the Lord and shabbaching the Lord cuz he gave me children. He gave me products. >> I have the opportunity to bless the product that God has put within me that's coming out from that has come out from me that some of them haven't even come yet. But God has anointed me and given me resources to be a blessing to my children's children. >> See how the claps are getting lower and lower cuz you only concerned about yourself. But that's not the call of God. The call of the Lord is he's I'm shabbaching God because he's giving me resources to bless my children. Look at your neighbor. Say products. >> And I see God blessing my kid. All my kids are doing well. Every last one of all six of them are doing good. I got six kids. My son Jimmy is here today. ((cheering)) He got a string of projects. >> Projects he's doing he's working on a movie now called God with Us. >> It's a look it's a it is a modern presentation of If Jesus Came today. >> And the other day my wife and I he was over the house. He said, "Let me show you a little bit of the movie." We watched about 30 minutes of it. It's It's wonderful. It's great. Excellent. It's a professional production. And I'm super proud of how God's using him. He ain't got no kids yet. Thank God. Cuz he ain't he ain't married. Praise the Lord. He ain't got no kids yet. But he he working on it. He working on getting married. He working on having a wife. He's working on having a family. And he gonna get there. Amen. And we already got something stored up for his children's children that haven't even come yet. >> Y'all hear what I'm saying? Do y'all hear what I'm saying? Do you get it? What am I telling you? Tell your neighbor what I what I'm trying to get you to do. Tell them. Go ahead. I don't know what they told you, but I hope they told you the right thing. >> The scripture says he has blessed your children within you. God's already got something lined up for your children in you. Hallelujah. >> And I'm praising him for that. >> Hallelujah. >> Here's number three. I got four. I'm almost finished. I got seven minutes to give you these other two. Verse 14. He makes peace >> in your borders. Here's point three. God gives you peace. I want to shout right here for just a moment. Here's what that means. This is this is something worthy of celebrating. I I'm giving God thanks and glory and praise because here's what that means. Regardless of what's happening around you, God gives you the capacity to have peace within. All hell breaking loose on the outside, but I got peace inside. The the president has bombed Iran, but I ain't worried about it. I got peace within. I serve a God that regardless of what the circumstances are, he got my back. He got me covered. Y'all ain't hearing what I'm saying to you today. We can give God praise. Even though the world has all kind of anxiety and all kind of hell breaking loose and the economy is crazy and money is getting changing and weak and all that kind of stuff has God has given me deep down inside the comfort and the peace to know that he got me covered and he has you covered and he's got you that you don't have to be stressed out. You don't have to be worried. You don't have to be fearful. God will give you peace. Who am I preaching to today? That devil's trying to make you think you ain't got no money to pay your bills. He wants you to think a war is going to break out. He got you thinking all kinds of stuff is happening. But I'm here to tell you that according to the scripture in Psalm 147, he gives you peace within your borders. Somebody hallelujah. Say hallelujah. Somebody give God the praise that he got my back. He got me covered. He's given me safety. I'm safe. Safe in the arms of Jesus. Safe in his arms. He got his arms [screaming] around you and around me. I'm safe. Somebody highfire your neighbor. Tell them I'm safe. I'm safe. I'm safe. I'm safe. I'm safe. I'm safe. >> Amen. I ain't worried about nothing at all. No weapon formed against me can prosper. I'm safe. He won't allow the wars of life to destroy me. I'm safe. I'm complete in my borders. Here's my final point. Point number four. Y'all got the first point? >> What was that? >> Number two. >> Number three. >> Number four. >> Let's see. Some of y'all was at the earliest service. >> Verse 14. The latter part says, "And fills you with the finest wheat." >> He makes peace in your borders and fills you with the finest wheat. That represents provision. >> Somebody say, "Provision." >> He makes provisions. He's got you covered. He gives you the best. Amen. >> Amen. Y'all stop worrying about stop being stressed out about having a Amen. Here's what I know about God. God always makes a way out of nowhere. God always provide. Somebody say, "Amen." >> Stop being worried that you ain't going to have no provision. You going to be taken care of. You going to have some food in your cupboard somewhere. God is going to provide for you. >> That took a whole lot of stress off of me. >> It made me not worry because God said, I'm going to fill your barns >> with wheat. >> Guess and guess what? Here's what the scripture says. Uh, I have never seen the righteous forsaken. [screaming] >> Or his seed. I want somebody new to scripture. Or his seed begging bread. He won't I'm not begging. I got I got food. He keeps feeding me. Come on, somebody. I got food. He's taking care of me. He's nurturing me. And guess what? Here's what I know about God. Let me preach to this section right here for just a section. I feel tension over here with some of y'all like you worried about whether you going to have some food. You going to have some food. If God don't give you food, it means you need to go on a diet. Go ahead, tell yourself. Do that again. >> ((music playing)) >> Do it one more time. ((music playing)) Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He going to put food on your table. But here's where I am. I'm finished. I'm bringing my plane in for a landing. I'm concluding this message. I'm closing the dishwasher. I'm putting the clothes in the dryer. I'm bringing it in. I'm pulling my boat into the dock. Here's what I know. Even if I don't have what I want when I want it, I know that sooner or later, God is going to open up a door and bring it so I get it in time for what I need to have. He will make a way for me. Hey, [screaming] hey, he will provide. Whatever I need, he will provide. >> ((music playing)) >> Hallelujah. I feel like shouting down in my sanctified soul. I trust in God. >> I trust in God. I trust in God. I trust in God. I trust in God. I trust in God. Come on, hurry up. I trust in God. >> I trust in God. >> Yes. I see the one who will [singing] never ((music playing)) fail. He will never fail. [music and singing] I trust in God. >> I trust in God. >> My savior. ((music playing)) >> Myior. [singing] >> Testify of his goodness. ((music playing)) >> He will never fail. He will never fail ((music playing)) you. >> I trust in [singing] my ((music playing)) savior. >> Hallelujah to Jesus. He will never. ((music playing)) Hallelujah. He will never fail. ((music playing)) Let's cut across the field right here. I ((music playing)) sought the Lord and he heard and he answered. I sought the Lord and he heard and he ((music playing)) answered. I sought the Lord and he heard and he answered. ((music playing)) That's why I trust him. That's why I trust him. >> I sought ((music playing)) the Lord. And he heard and he answered. I sought the Lord. [singing] >> ((music playing)) >> That's why I That's ((music playing)) why I [singing] love the Lord. >> Thank you, Jesus. In the ((music playing)) time of trou in the time of circumstances, you're always there. I saw ((music playing)) the Lord and heard me. And that's why That's why That's why ((music playing)) >> I trust in God my savior. Yeah. >> He will never never never ((music playing)) fail me. He'll never fail me. He'll never fail me. ((music playing)) >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. Having a relationship with Jesus makes all the difference in the world. >> And some of you don't have a relationship with him. You can't seek him cuz ((music playing)) you don't know him. >> You've never surrendered your life to him. You've never repented of your sins. You have not acknowledged your sin. You have never acknowledged it. You know, he died on the cross ((music playing)) for your sins so that you could have a personal relationship with him, but he brought you here today because he knows we would give you the truth. >> Amen. >> That you need him. And there's somebody here today. I don't know where you are, but you need Jesus. Make your way and come here right now quickly. Come. Don't Don't delay it. Don't put it off. You need salvation. You need to rededicate. Maybe you started but you drifted away. Come right now while the blood is running warm in your veins. Come and say yes to the Lord right this instant, right this moment. Amen. So proud of you. So proud of you. God bless you. God bless you. Amen. That's right. Come on, somebody. Come right now. Come. Come. Are you coming? >> Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Glory. >> That's right. Come on. Come. Come. Come. Come. Amen. Praise the Lord. Y'all encourage them. They're coming. They're coming. So proud of you, bro. Come on. Right now. Right this moment. Right this instant. You need Jesus. Come right now. Right now. Right now. Right. >> I sought the Lord. I'm so ((music playing)) ((music playing)) [singing] heard. Yeah. >> That's why I >> That's [music and singing] why I >> That's why I >> That's why I saw God. >> I saw the Lord and heard >> and he answer ((music playing)) the [singing] Lord. >> Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. ((music playing)) >> I saw the Lord. >> The Lord >> and he heard and he answered. >> That's why I >> That is why That's why >> I saw the Lord. the Lord. ((music playing)) >> Hallelujah to your name, God. Lord, ((music playing)) >> Hallelujah to your name, God. >> Oh Lord, oh Lord. Oh Lord, Lord, any ((music playing)) trust in >> Maybe you're not sure and you need assurance. Come, we can help you. Maybe you're already saved, but you need a church. This is a great church for you to be a part of. So proud of you. So proud of you. I see you. Come on. Come on. Come on. You'll never be the same again. You'll never be the same again. >> Hallelujah. You'll never be the same again. >> Hallelujah. >> So proud of you. So proud of you. >> Hallelujah. >> I sought the Lord and he heard and he answered. [singing] >> God bless you, buddy. And he heard and he answered. >> I sought the Lord. [music and singing] >> And he heard and he answered. >> That's why I wait. >> Somebody's in here waiting for some reason. God told me to tell you tomorrow is not promised. >> It will be tragic for you to put it off and something happens and you don't be and you're not right with God. Come right now. We we ain't going to talk about you. We ain't going to laugh. We going to celebrate. Matter of fact, the moment you step out, we're going to start celebrating and giving God the praise. Come. Come. Come on, my brother. Come on, my sister. Come right now. Right now. right now. Right today, say yes to the Lord. ((music playing)) Yes to the Lord. Yes to the Lord. ((music playing)) >> I sought the Lord and heard and he sought the [singing] Lord and heard. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. ((music playing)) I ((music playing)) trust you. I sought the Lord. >> I ((music playing)) sought the Lord. >> And he hurt and he answered. I sought the Lord. >> Thank you, Jesus. >> And heard and he answered. >> What's your name? >> What's your name? >> Landry. >> Landry. How old are you? >> 58. >> 58. You know what Landry just told me? He said, "I was shot a month ago four times >> and God spared your life for this moment and for this moment." We praise the Lord. He kept you alive. The devil tried to take you out, but God say, "No, no, not ((music playing)) today. Not today. Not today." Who else there is? Who else is there? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. All right. I'm so proud of y'all. We're going to take you to the back, share the word of God with you, find out where you are, and minister to you. Father, thank you for these who have responded to your truth. Fill them, almighty God, with your power and presence, your spirit. Transform their lives. Plant them in your vineyard. Fill them with the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Amen and amen. That is why. That is why. That is why. >> Amen. Amen. I see you. Come on. It ain't too late. It ain't too late. It's not too late. Amen. Proud of y'all. So proud. So proud. So proud of you. So proud of you. So proud. So proud of you, bro. Jesus. So proud. So proud. Jesus. You. Come on. Amen. Come on. Right. You come on. I'm so proud of you. Praise the Lord. >> Glory to God. >> Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait right here. Cuz stay right here for a minute. See, you're the first person in the second wave. There's going to be a second wave. So you wait right here. Amen. The devil tried to keep you in your seat, but you said no. You said not today. And God's going to make you you the star. Who else? Who else need to come and join with? Who else the devil tried to hold you back? Who else need to say yes to the Lord? Who else needs to get him God's perfect will? Come on right now. Come right now. Who else is wrestling with saying yes to the Lord? Come on. Come on. Come and say yes to the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. ((music playing)) Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Never be the same again. No. Never ((music playing)) be the same again. No. >> Yeah. Thank you Jesus. Come on. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. Hallelujah. ((music playing)) Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. ((music playing)) Hallelujah. Glory. Glory. Glory. Glory. Glory. Somebody. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. >> ((music playing)) >> I sought the Lord and he heard and he answered. I sought the Lord. >> Somebody else. >> Heard and he answered. >> I sought the Lord and he heard [singing and music] and he answered. That's why I trust him. That's why I >> Father, thank you for the second wave. Thank you Lord for not letting them stay in their seats. >> I pray that you prove yourself ((music playing)) to them. Manifest yourself to them. Fill them with your spirit. Almighty God, break every chain in their life in Jesus name. Amen. >> Amen. >> I'm sorry I'm a little bit late. And I'm over time, but I'll go over time for souls every Sunday. Amen. The Lord bless you in Jesus' name. Amen. Have a great day. >> Woo. Isn't it good news today that all you have to do is seek the Lord. He'll hear you and he'll answer. Family, pastor talked about the first wave of those who gave their lives to Christ. Then we had the second waves of those giving their lives to Christ. And honey, sister, brother, my family, you can be the third wave giving their lives to Christ on today. He will never he will never fail. No matter what you're going through, no matter what it feels like, no matter what it looks like, he will never fail you. Make the best decision of your life. You thought when you met your spouse, that was the best decision. You thought when God blessed you with a baby, that was the best decision. This today can be the best decision of your life. Knowing Jesus is the best thing that you can ever do. Why don't you right now commit your life to our heavenly father? He loves you. Who else died for you and prays for you? Nobody but Jesus. Give your life to him on today. Okay. They will say in the chat exactly how you can do that. And we're excited about the decision that you're going to make today. Become a part of our online campus. Become a part of our church family. But most importantly, become a part of Jesus. Amen. Wow. Okay, let's get to the free worship, pro worship experience. I have a co-host. My God. My God. I have a co-host with me on today cuz it's Shabbach day. He is a board member of Shabbach Ministries. Family and friends, I need you to show some love for Gregory P. Davis. [laughter] Welcome. I love that. How are you? >> I'm doing fantastic. How about you? We thank you so much honey this music. Okay. Okay. [laughter] Who got us in worship on today but it's Shabbach Ministries Day family and Shabbach as you know is a community arm of the First Baptist Church of Glennard and International. And you have been a board member. How long and how did that come about? >> I I actually started with the original research committee back in about 93. >> My goodness. And um it's God I just feel so thankful that God chose me to help pastor make his amazing vision come to uh come to life. It it's just been a faith walk and just been a blessing into my life. >> Wow. I'm so honored. So you were there from the very beginning before the beginning when it was just a vision. >> God, we thank you. We thank you for all of your work then, all of the work for these 30 years and all of your work now. So tell us your background. tell us your vocational skills and what brought you to us. >> So, I'm a retired army officer. Uh, come from a family of military service. Uh, but also come from a family of teachers. Uh, my wife's a retired educator, my mother was an educator. Uh, we were on an overseas assignment, decided we wanted to start a school. >> Uhhuh. >> Made an appointment with pastor, come back to talk to him about it. And he said, "That's interesting you say that. I want to do that, too. You want to help?" >> Wow. and the rest is history. I started there and uh have been blessed to just help Shabbach get where it is, but mostly just thankful to God that pastor had that amazing vision to reach out into the community from the very beginning. It's about serving the needs of the community. >> Amen. >> That's what Chebacc has been. That's what it that's what it is now. That's what it'll always be. That's why I'm still there. >> Amen. So family, those of you who are new to us, you know, on the online campus, Shabbach is the community arm of First Baptist Church of Glenn Arden International. As pastor likes to say, we are the hands and feet of Jesus. You know, a lot of people might fall into hard times. Pastor was talking about things you may be walking through. Last week, he was talking about being in a crisis. And so sometimes you're in a crisis, but we want to be some of the ones that can help you during that time because God will show up. Won't he show up? >> Oh, hey. [laughter] >> Yes. Oh, he'll show up. So between, you know, our clothing boutique and between our food pantry and even at career services, Shabbach just wants to be a blessing. >> Absolutely. >> What was one of your favorite moments in reference to being a part of us? >> You know, it's interesting. Probably one of the famous moments I will always remember was going to the golf course. >> Uhhuh. >> And seeing the kids from Shabbat Christian Academy out there, little ones playing golf. And I said, "Isn't this amazing that we're reaching out beyond the years and beyond the church to introduce kids not only to things that they otherwise might not be experienced, >> but to just plant in them something that we can use to feed back to them so they can get their blessing from God and they can be a blessing to others." I'll never forget that. That was just an amazing experience. It's such beautiful moments when we're able to give back. And so we're so excited and we're delighted. Before we go any further though, we cannot leave because not only is it Shabbach day, but it is our online pastor's Reverend Katie's birthday. [screaming] >> Is she here? Where is she at? >> Yeah, you know she is somewhere working, but we just have to say and scream happy birthday to our online campus. >> Happy birthday, Pastor Katie. Happy birthday so completely. All of this is because of what God has done through you. Here she comes. She's coming. She's coming. We got to keep it going cuz [laughter] >> Come on. The queen is coming. The queen is coming on campus. Happy birthday to the [screaming] queen. >> Happy birthday. >> We love her so much. It's so fast. So, put it in the chat. All these happy birthdays to one and only online pastor, Reverend KD. You guys, happy Shabbach day. Thank you so much, Gregory Davis. to you. Blessings to you guys and bye >> bye. >> Goodbye ((music playing)) forward.
