Reflecting On The Last 24 Years // Pastor Vlad Good morning, everyone. Welcome to this Sunday's service as we're going to have it today in our homes. We're really excited to see what the Lord is going to bring today. Before we bring Pastor Zach and Jen to share a little bit of what's happening inside of our building and before we go into a little bit of time of worship and hear the message today, it's going to be a full church in the next 50 minutes or so. Could you let me know in the comments below, especially if you're on your phone where you are tuning in from? So, go ahead and drop the city that you are in. And if you are especially from Hungry Gen, let us know. Say, "Hey, I'm watching from home or from Pasco, from Kennewick, Sunnyside, Walla Walla, Hermiston, go ahead and drop that in the chat right now before we go any further. This has been probably a year since I personally live streamed. Totally forgot how to set that up. So, first 10 minutes, we're trying to figure out everything. So, as you're logging in right now, Kent, people are from Kent. Definitely Mexico City, Pasco, Pasco, Sunnyside, Walla Walla. Hello everyone. Washington State, Kenwick, India, and a lot of you that are tuning in from other parts of the world. So, go ahead and drop that in the chat. Also, if you are with your family and you know your family setting looks somewhat photogenic, feel free to snap a selfie and post it on Instagram and tag hungry generation. Today we are having our service from home. Because few updates that we want to give you right now. We were really really hoping to have our services already in Kennewick building and it looks fantastic, but we had one little delay that required us to postpone it to one more week. But without further ado, I don't want to take a lot of your time. I want to welcome Zach right now. He is on site in Kennewick building. Pastor Zack. Hello. Come on. Come on. Well, welcome everybody. Good morning. Reporting to you from Kennewick. No, I'm joking. But good morning everybody. Behind me. I want to take you through a little tour of what our church looks like. Get you excited. I know we all wanted to be in the building this week, but we hit a little bit of a delay, but we know delay ain't denial. Come on, somebody. So, I'm going to give you a little bit of a tour. And so, and then we're going to go into the rest. So, here is what the front of our building looks like. My car right there. There's the main entrance is over there, but for kids zone; we are going to be checking in here. It's to the right of the main doors. And so, you'll enter in when you are dropping off your kiddos. Over here, is going to be the check-in area. You'll see and we'll have plenty of help and as well this Saturday, the 24th, we're going to be having a kids zone walk through so you can learn more there. But this will be that check-in area with iPads. It will be super welcoming, exciting for your kiddos and easy to check in. And over here is the hallway which has all of the kids zone stuff. Here's a little glimpse at what the classrooms look like. And we have tons and tons of more room. There's rooms all along this hallway. Tons of room for our kiddos. So, this is what the kids zone looks like. It's exciting. A lot of our stuff just came in for the kids. Brand new stuff, exciting toys and furniture. And so, you know, all the furniture that your kids chewed on, we we tossed that. And so, we got new ones. And that's going to that's the kids zone. Now, I want to walk you through that to our lobby area over here. Oh, lights are off. Oh, there you go. Look at that. Lights turn off automatic. turn on automatically technology. So, this is the main lobby. You're going to be entering through the front doors. We have side doors over here. There is the upstairs to some offices. And right here is our beautiful, beautiful lobby. Over here we have all the offices. Amazing stairs designed by our very own pastor Lana and her touches and design. And up here is the offices. So here, right, we have stairs. The railing is coming in for the stairs this week. The railing is coming in as well for the top balcony over there. And so we have offices. If you walk across this office and you feel extra anointing, that's because that's my office. And then you have a bunch of conference rooms and media rooms, broadcast rooms, and yeah, so those are that's kind of the lobby and it's still getting put together. Bathrooms are looking absolutely beautiful. A lot more room. You don't have to be waiting for a long time. Over here we're going to have, we have a lot of extra chairs because we know we're going to need them. a lot of extra chairs for our sanctuary. Here's like the hangout lounge area. You you'll see better here the kitchen area. And here's our amazing doors to our lobby. So we have three different entrances. One, two, three. And I will show you. Oh, right here as well is we have the mother's room. So those that are nursing or anything like that and you need to take your baby out in the service believing down the road for some TVs and all that kind of stuff so that you can be very close to what is happening here and is right next to the right next to the sanctuary. Now here you go is the tour. We have our amazing volunteers serving. So, this is a long long awaited sanctuary that we've been believing for. And right here, LED walls, the LED top screen has went up. LED other screens are going to go up later this week. And here's all that, all the seating. Going to have some touch-ups and the rest be being done the rest of this week. So, church, we're excited. We hope you're excited. We have a few announcements my wife's going to talk to you about. But throughout the week, if you are free, come help out. We're going to be moving, touching up, doing all that other stuff throughout the week. So, be praying as well as our temporary permit or inspection this Wednesday with the a fire department. Be praying for that so that we can have this Sunday. But here's the rest of the announcements. Hello everyone. I just have a couple announcements for you regarding this upcoming week. First, so this upcoming Saturday, the 24th, we will be having our kids zone open house. Those of you that have parent or sorry, children that are attending the kids zone, you can go on Saturday and see the classrooms, actually see how you'll check in. You'll meet the teachers that are with your children during the kids zone. And that will be from 12 to 3 o'clock. On Saturday the 24th from 12 to 3. So, we want to invite you to come out to that. On Sunday the 25th, we will have our soft opening services. So, next week on Sunday, we'll have 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 services. As of right now, that is the plan. And if there is any changes, we will update you on Slack and on social media. So, please make sure you stay updated with us there. Next week or the following week after that, we have our revival week conference and it's January 28th through February 1st starting on Wednesday through Sunday. And so there is registration required. You can register on hungrygen.com/revival. On Saturday, there will be a prayer line service, but you do not have to separately register for that. You just can attend and go through the prayer line afterwards. An update on Sunday morning, February 1st. That is our grand opening, our ribbon cutting ceremony. Originally, we were having David Diga speak at 11:30 a.m. service. We made a slight change. We want you all to be able to attend the service and not feel like you're missing out. So, we made both services identical. 9:00 am and 11:30 will be the same services. Pastor Vlad will be speaking and David Diga will still be joining us and it will be a special ribbon cutting ceremony. On Monday, we will have a volunteers meeting the 26th. So, if you're interested in volunteering, we will need a lot of hands, a lot of extra help. We want to encourage you to come out and to join us on Monday the 26th at 700 p.m. to volunteer. And I think I'm not missing anything, but that should be everything. We hope you come and please don't forget to register for that week. It'll be amazing. A lot of guest speakers and we're very excited for that. Come on, Hungry Gen family. Appreciate you guys joining us. And now we're going to worship. So, Pastor Vlad. For the next few moments, I want you to just prepare your heart right where you are at and let's just worship the Lord. Next 10 minutes let's just ask the Holy Spirit to come right there in your house as much as you can focus with the children and everyone else. May the Holy Spirit come right now and fill your room with his presence. Holy Spirit, we welcome you. May you come and your glory come right there where you are at. Just put your hands on your heart right now. Just welcome the Holy Spirit. So, Holy Spirit, I welcome you. We praise you, Jesus. Holy Spirit, I praise you, Lord. You are the lamb of God, the holy one. There is no one like you, Jesus. To encounter you is our purpose. So, holy God, we love you. We praise you. So, holy God, you're seated on a throne of glory. You're seated on a throne of glory. There's no one like you, Jesus. We lift up the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Jesus. Jesus. We honor you, Lord God. We honor you, Jesus. And Lord, as we're coming into your presence right now, we're believing that your presence is what's going to settle. It's going to bring breakthrough in our life in Jesus mighty name. Thank you, Lord. And if you're grateful to the Lord, drop that prayer emoji right now in the chat for his faithfulness, for his grace, and for every good thing that he's done in our life. This worship that you just saw, it was actually from our Raised to Deliver Conference worship, and you can watch it on our YouTube channel. Moderators will drop the link where you can rewatch that, take some time to spend time with the Lord. But what I would like to do right now is first and foremost quickly jump into reminder that it's our 21-day prayer and fasting and we are two thirds already in. We have one more week left. I'm going to quickly give you a brief reminder of how to plan when the time comes for you to transition from a fast. I know some people go all the way till 21day fast. That's what I'm believing for. But sometimes people jump off a little bit earlier. And so, but I want to prepare you for that. First of all, I want to remind you that fasting is not starvation. It is involuntary absence from food for spiritual reasons. There are four or we would call it actually five different four different fasts. The liquid fast, the partial fast, the Daniel fast, non-food fast. So liquid fast could be a water only or water and juices. A partial fast from sunrise to sun down. I think there's supposed to be two. And then Daniel's fast is when you abstain from sweets and dairy and eat only fruits, nuts, vegetables, and water. And then non-food fast. And so for those of you who have not joined us for fasting, hey, you got one more week. I just want to challenge you. You can still join uh for this fast. You can still do that last week if you missed it and you're like, "Hey, I wasn't sure what was going on." and I really feel like I need a breakthrough in my life. Hey you got seven days left. Let's let's jump onto the end of this and you know it's not he who starts it's he who finishes. So go ahead and you can join today and just you know next seven days you can choose one of these fasts whether it's water fast whether it's liquid fast whether it's a partial one whether it's a Daniel fast or maybe you are not able to fast and you just do a non-food fast. So one of these ways you can join next seven days. Let's finish strong. I know some of you started strong. Let's finish strong. Drop this in the chat. Let's finish strong. And if you switch the fasting to one meal a day, let's finish strong for that. All right, is everybody can hear me good? Drop in the chat a thumbs up if you can hear me fine. I'm looking on my radars; it seems fine, but I see some of the comments saying that you were not able to hear me. So, if you can hear me good, drop in the chat a thumbs up. Now here is very important. How to break your 21-day fast safely. Before you begin your fast, it's important to know how to end it properly so you don't hurt yourself. By the end of 21day water or liquid fast, now we're specifically dealing people who go liquid or water fast. You must understand that your stomach has significantly shrunk. Even small amounts of food can make you feel full. Your digestive system also has been resting. Digestive enzymes, stomach acids, and bile productions are low. Before you return back to your regular diet, your body needs time to properly wake up its digestion again. Eating too much or too fast can cause bloating, nausea, and stomach pain and diarrhea. Keep in mind that your mental hunger is often stronger than your actual physical hunger. So, don't overeat just because you missed eating. And don't try to celebrate yourself by throwing a feast after not eating for 21 days. I know the temptation, you know, to congratulate yourself and say, "Hey, let me, you know, finish the fast on Saturday night or Sunday after church and let me go and treat myself to Fujama, Olive Garden and just throw a feast. If you do that, you are going to harm your body, which is really hurting the temple of the Holy Spirit. So, something to remember, the longer you fast, the longer you need the transition. A 21-day liquid or water fast takes at least 3 days to come out properly. A 40-day fast takes at least 7 days to come out properly. Key reminders when you're coming out of a fast. This is a question so many of you have been asking. Now, this is on my website also, but I'm going to go through it right now because as a pastor, I want to lead you through instruction, so that you can also do things in wisdom and discernment. Never break a long fast with a normal meal. Drop this in the chat. Never break a long fast with a normal meal. Food to avoid during first few days of eating, bread, sugar, dairy, processed foods, eggs, nuts, and meat. These require more stomach acid and enzymes to digest than the body has when you initially break the fast. Sugar also increases hunger and pull your pulls your body out of ketosis too quickly. Ketosis is when your body is using ketones to fuel instead of glucose. So begin with gentle foods. First day of eating, eat something gentle like cooked rice water, chicken broth, and bone broth. For the next few days, begin to eat small portions of steamed vegetables and cooked tomatoes. You may add tofu to your broth for a light substance. Avoid rice or tomatoes as those are difficult to digest. You can begin to add juice after the first few days though with caution. Be sure to monitor acidity and watch for sugar content. Introduce solid foods only after several days of breaking your fast. Some examples may include boiled eggs, steamed zucchini, steamed carrots, papaya, unsweetened applesauce, and others. Big scripture to keep in mind. If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. Now, I apologize for laughing, but that's exactly what happens when you seek to harm your body through an obsessive appetite that you get when you transition out of a prolonged water fast is there comes a punishment or a consequence. You're violating laws that God said within your bodies and you're hurting the health that you can achieve as a byproduct of fasting. So just make sure you keep that in mind. Do not harm the temple of God. Amen. Somebody drop Amen in the chat if you are receiving this right now. And the next few moments I would like to share with you 24 years in one place. I want to share with you some of the lessons that I've learned and observed as our church has been in this one place for 24 years in Pasco. I want to give you just a little bit of a of rundown of where we've been before we go into what we are going into. And so, in a nutshell, in July 2002, that seems like eternity ago, we actually stepped into our Pasco building. We put our foot into our Pasco building for the first time. The church existed for about a year before that. And we had no resources. We had no legal papers in the sense of like as a church we didn't exist as a nonprofit. We my pastor had a vision and we stepped in looking for a building. God provided this building. A month later we found a rental in the newspaper and this rental which a government school rented our Pasco building for a long time which actually paid for our bills. So, in January 2026, somebody drop 2026 in the chat right now. That's the year we are in. We're stepping into our Kennewick building. This has been 24 years. Somebody drop it in the chat. It's been too long. It feels like that. So, I want to share with you a quick rundown of 10 thoughts as I am looking back at what God has done and some of the thoughts, some of the prayers of thanksgiving and lessons that we've learned. And that's what I want to share with you today. And so, before we step into the new, I want to rewind the tape and tell you about what has happened in those 26 years. These lessons are not necessarily chronological. Some of them will deal with construction. Some of them will deal with our vision. Some of them will deal with our history. But let's dive in. Number one, our faith is stretched today, but it was passed on before it was tested. What I mean by this is that Paul told Timothy that his faith first lived in his mother and grandmother. Hebrews tells us that Moses's story began with his mother's faith. Nehemiah who was building rebuilding the walls and I like to use Nehemiah throughout this next few minutes because we're in that position. Nehemiah did not invent the vision about the walls. He was actually carrying the burden of previous generation. And I want to highlight this point. I want you to drop this in the chat. Always honor generations before you because you are standing on borrowed faith. What I mean borrowed faith is that they are lending to you a platform, a shoulders to stand on. Somebody say always honor the generation before you. Drop that in the chat. And I want to honor our pastor because he is the one that moved into the building. It was my parents that supported him. It was other uncles who are right now at our new building. Aunts who you see day and night over there serving. They were there way before many of you came and now they're coming into the new building. They are not a complaining generation that died in the wilderness. Not only they exited from that season, but they're stepping into this season. But I look today at how my faith is stretched. And I want to give honor where honor is due. Because the vision we have is really passed on to us. Our church is generational church. Our church is not just growing old big. It's growing young. It's growing generational. Come on, somebody drop this in the chat. Generational faith. God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And I believe next 24 years I prophesy that that we will see our children stepping in and they will be taking the baton from us because what our parents passed to us now it has to be passed through us to the next generation. That's why I believe the next three years you're going to see an explosion a robust blessing in our kids' ministry because it's not just about us, it's about through us. The second thought I want to highlight and that is this. If you stay planted long enough and I want to use it like this so that we can just highlight the second point. If you stay planted long enough you will reap. 24 years of silent development. It may look like man it took 24 years. Yes. because we were planted. The Bible says that those who are planted in the house of God shall flourish. Not every seed sprouts fast, but every seed eventually sprouts. And I want you to notice that this is what has happened to Hungry Gen that we've been planted in Tri Cities. A lot of us have been planted at Hungry Gen for a long time. We didn't sprout just instantly. And I welcome every person who just joined Hungry Gen in the last three months, in the last 24 months. And we honor and appreciate each and every one of you. But I do want to take a moment and honor every person, every family that is still here who that's been with us 24 years ago who planted themselves when nothing was happening. When the vision was just a vision and they paid the price and they persevered and they prayed and they gave and they believed. You know, I look at my life and I'm so glad the last 24 years. They were not wasted because they were planted. Now, I didn't see the fruit for a long time, but those times were for a reason. So, drop this in the chat. Stay planted. Some of you, you have not been planted in the house of God before. You kind of like you jump around. You don't settle in any place. You kind of go everywhere, but you're not anywhere. May this be the year in the name of Jesus where you are planted in the house of God. Do you want to flourish? Be planted. Choose a church. If it's Hungry Gen, let it be Hungry Gen. If it's another church, let it be that church and stay there until you grow, until you reap the benefits of staying there. And I reflect on that and I'm so glad. You know, I've been to two churches in my life, and that's not a pride or anything, but I'm just fortunate and really blessed to be able to be one in Ukraine for as long as I could remember, and then this one when my uncle planted it and I was just a teenager and, you know, I'm coming up on 40 now and I'm glad that, you know, this is a home that God planted me. I wouldn't have any other way last 24 years than to serve God in silence. To serve God being hidden. To serve God when it's not noticed. To serve God when it's not recognized. To serve God when there is no fruit. To serve God when the season seems delayed. To serve God when you're criticized. When you're misunderstood. When you're rejected. To serve God when you don't speak English in America and you're trying to learn English. But still to serve God. Stay planted because you will reap a harvest. The third thing and this is what happens during this planting is slowness. As I'm reflecting, drop this in the chat. Slow is where you grow. I wish I would say that acceleration is something that hits your life in every season. I preached a message recently about acceleration and a lot of people love that. Hey, I want to excel. You know, I want to have acceleration in my life. But I want to let you know before God brings acceleration into your life, he brings slow growth. Somebody drop this in the chat. Slow growth. Growth is always slow. And acceleration a lot of times comes after first slow growth. In Exodus 23:29-30, it talks about little by little I will drive them out. God seems to refuse fast victories that outpace our maturity. Slow growth builds your character, but fast growth a lot of times could actually build your ego. We need both. There's explosive growth and sometimes there is a setback. It feels like, why is it? And I look back on the last 20 years, this is what I feel. God values sustainable growth over impressive speed. Meaning growth that happens inside, growth that happens on the outside that is sustainable over decades, over just a big flash explosion. And next thing that happens is you don't have systems for it. You don't have mental, emotional, spiritual maturity to run with its pace. Even looking at this construction that was happening right now, you know, it seems like, man, it takes so long, you know, to get stuff done. But it's okay because slow is where you grow. Drop that in the chat. Slow is where you grow. The fourth thought that I would like to share and that is this. God never rushes his work to meet our impatience. It's very similar to the third thought. God never rushes our work to meet our impatience. My observation from the last four years of construction and this was this. I severely underestimated how long things will take. I think everybody did and I think everybody whoever that builds anything comes in with a vision and it's the timing that humbles us. Somebody drop this in the chat. It's the timing that humbles us. Your vision will excite you. The blueprints will excite you. You know the God has a plan for me. A prophetic word will excite you. But one thing that will mature you is how long it will take to get there. And every leader, and I will be the first one to say that I got spanked by this reality more. And I'm so glad that I did because it threw out a lot of naiveness in me. And it allowed me to plan things now as I look forward to the future with an understanding that it will take longer than I imagine, longer than I think. So you may be thinking about the dream God has given you. You may be thinking about the vision God has given you. And I have a word for you. It's going to take longer. I know in your mind you're thinking this is when it's going to happen. Enlarge your capacity for waiting and patience because it's going to take longer. In the middle of that, God will work on the fruit of patience. In the middle of that, God will stretch you. God will expose your insecurities, impatience. God will expose other idols and he will deal with them so that you will be formed as the vision is being finalized. Number five, the strength of a church is revealed in those who show up to serve. You know, as I am looking at the last three years of construction, I am looking at the last seven days of what has happened in our new building and I'm looking at the last 24 years of our church's existence here in Tri Cities. I can tell you one thing, I am shocked with how hard our church family served and serves. I am moved. We're not a nonprofit organization. We are a local church ecclesia. How people take care of other people. How people value people. How people show up when there's crisis. How people show up when there is a need. How people show up when, you know, I'm reflecting on times when, you know, we lost some people who one young man who passed in the tragic accident and how the youth, how the church rallied around in night prayers and praying for him. I'm looking at even something as practical as last week. How much of the sound panels and acoustics was installed and some people pulled in 18 hours. You know, it's not wise. Somebody may say, "Well, this is, you know, this is not healthy." I understand. But how people served, it makes me humbled and honored to lead our church and our congregation. I've had a chance to travel around the world and I've seen the strength of the church is not the gift of the few. It's the heart of serving of many. I remember when I was in Mexico at the large mega church and meeting pastors and seeing how people serve there. Being in Singapore, being in Malaysia, being in Germany, being in other places and seeing Bible believers, spirit filled Christians serve not for a paycheck, not for recognition. And this is my desire that our church becomes maintains the heart of showing up and serving every Sunday, you know, during the weeks, whether it's opening your life or your home for a life group. It's whether it's giving through the serving through giving that we are a serving church. Somebody drop this in the chat. We are a serving church. You know, Pastor Ilia, who just got home back to his service, you know, arrived last Sunday night. Actually, he preached in our church on the last service in our new build in our old building and then the next seven days, you know, worked sometimes, sometimes 18 hours. He slept few hours to trying to set up the sound system, you know, save the church thousands of dollars. But he said, Hey, even though he's a pastor, he maybe shouldn't be doing this stuff. And I understand that concept that many of us have. But he's like, Hey, this is my contribution. I want to serve Hungry Gen and he already has his own campus. And so because of that contribution, we were able to set it up the sound system and now it's running really well. So we give God the glory and the praise. Number six, as I reflect on some of our controversies, I want to mention something about Hungry Gen. is that we walk in the light that God gives us not in the flashlight that people hand to us. What I mean by this is Hungry Gen in the last 24 years we have connected ourselves to people we have sometimes followed ministries recommended books, quoted some pastors and leaders, went to conferences of some people who some of them today are not walking with the Lord. Some of them today fallen off the rails. Some of them and I wrote these thoughts down. There were things we did that we wouldn't do today. There are people we followed, learned from we wouldn't follow today. And I know some people will say, Well, you didn't have in this discernment. You invited this pastor to your church and look, he went off the rails and look, you didn't have discernment. And this is how I take it. And I want you to hear this loud and clear because you will see throughout the next 24 years where you will have guests at Hungry Gen. You will have some people speaking to Hungry Gen and some of them might not walk with the Lord later down the road. It's not that we always know every single thing that's going to happen with every person. It's that this is how I operate and this is how a lot of us operate. We walk in the light that we have. It's not that we lack discernment about the future. God knows the future. We are faithful to the light and understanding we have right now. And God holds us accountable to the light we have not to the light we gain later. So as the light when I say light understanding increases a lot of times as our direction changes. And so real maturity is not that we dishonor the past, try to scrape it off and say we don't want to ever talk about what we learned then there from this person and that person. It's that we want to build on it and move forward. Hungry Gen has always had that where we would go to a ministry learn about deliverance. We would go to the ministry learn about giving. We go to the ministry and then you find out, you know, certain things about those ministries that were not healthy and were not good. And we would distance ourselves and walk away. And a lot of times people would say, Hey, you need to constantly make apologies to what you learned. You need to publicly start renouncing every single ministry because you're no longer connected with them. And that's not been Hungry Gen's path. Maybe it's somebody else's path. That's not been our path. We walk in the light that's given to us. And God doesn't judge us based on the light we don't have. He judges us based on the light we have. We walk in the understanding. I look back at the last 20 year 24 things stuff we did. We would never do a lot of the stuff today. But at those times, that's the understanding we had and we grew, we matured, and we're going to mature even more and grow. And that's the beauty of God's grace. God knows everything. We know in part, we operate in part. We allow wisdom of others, counsel of others to speak into our life. But we also don't live with fear of what if this person is going to turn out to be not who God wants him to be. Don't allow that to affect your life. Number seven, and that is don't be surprised when God uses you as an answer to your own prayer. You see in Matthew 9:38, Jesus says, "Pray to the Lord of the harvest." And then the next portion of the scripture now the Bible when it was written it was not broken into chapters. So 38 and 39 he talks about pray for the harvest and then the next verse he says go. Jesus starts sending them. So this is what my observation has been. I'm going to talk a little bit about fundraising right now and building a fund and all of this stuff. It's important to recognize a lot of times when you're praying for certain things, God will use you first as an answer. When it came about uh money, I know there was a time when we hit a really rough patch. First year, when we got the building, the money were not coming in for the building. And we kind of reminded people, hey, we have a building. I didn't have a strategy. I still don't have a specific fundraising strategy. My strategy is very simple. And I write it in here. I asked the Lord, What do you want me to do? So, I remember having a meeting with our board and our board said, hey, if we keep having money coming in at this rate and we cannot borrow more, we're not going to finish the building. Just so let you know. So, I was driving from that meeting, and you know, first, I was nervous, I was anxious, I wasn't sure like, Lord, you need to provide. And then I remember asked this very hard question that I've been asking the Lord every single time I face a problem. What do you want me to do? I am tempted to ask the question, what do you want them to do? I am tempted to ask the question, what do you want those people to do? But the question I've asked three years ago, and that's a question I ask all the time. What do you want me to do? And I remember when the Holy Spirit started to prompt me to empty my account. And I said, Lord, no, no, no, no. I want you to speak to them. And he says, You're asking me what I want you to do. I said, Well, even if I empty the account, we need $10 million. This is not going to solve the problem. And and the Lord always would use your obedience, your obedience to start a domino effect. And I remember three years ago when that's exactly what happened. He prompted me and my wife to empty out account. And we did that. That Sunday, something broke, that month something shifted. And from that point on, you know, we started to give our salary back. That was another thing that I felt the Lord leading me to do until we get into the building. And when I obeyed what I needed to do, instead of just saying, Lord, bring a breakthrough. Bring breakthrough. Lord, change this person. Speak to this person, I've always asked God, what do you want me to do? That's been my strategy. Sometimes we needed resources. We need like a million dollars and I would say what do you want me to do? And I would feel from the Holy Spirit, don't say anything on the service and somebody would come in and meet that need. Other times I would feel prompted. I need to say something. And so people might be offended by that and say, you know, you were asking for money. Yeah, I am not moved by the need. I want to be moved by the Holy Spirit. Drop this in the chat. Be moved by the Holy Spirit. Be an answer to your prayer. Ask this question in prayer. What do you want me to do? You have a marriage problem. Instead of just praying, God, change my wife, which is good. What if you pray, Lord, what do you want me to do? You have a problem with your kids, instead of just saying, Lord, change your kids, which is good. Pray for your kids like that. But what if you also pray, God, what do you want me to do? How should I behave? What do I need to change? What are you working in me? Where do I need to lay my life on the altar? Where do you want a sacrifice from me? What do you want me to do? Oh, Jesus, we run out of wine. We need wine at the wedding, you know. And then Jesus looks at the servants and says, whatever he says, you got to do. So, the key to miracles isn't always to have a need. Everybody has a need, but not everybody experiences a miracle. The key is this, are you willing to do what Jesus tells you to do? But to do that, you got to encounter God daily. You got to lean into the Lord. To do that, you have to spend time with him so that you hear his voice and you don't react to your problems, but you respond to God's voice and God's purpose. Can somebody drop Amen in the chat if you're still with me? I got two more, three more. Number eight, when God gives you a vision, he also assigns helpers. Nehemiah rebuilt the wall with assigned helpers. The king gave permission and resources. The governors provided support. The workers built with their hands. Priests rebuilt spiritually and physically different sections. Luke 8 talks about Jesus had women who provided for him from their substance. You see a guy named Joseph. These were not his 12 disciples. They were not technically his members. They were sometimes outside helpers who provided a tomb. Another person provided costly burial spices. A Roman centurion helped to build a synagogue. Paul also never built his ministry alone. Barnabas opened the doors. Lydia funded his ministry. Churches supported him financially. And I just wanted to highlight right now that in the last three years as I reflect on that God assigned helpers. He gave us the vision, but he also had helpers. Some of those helpers I remember in the beginning where when the pastor sold his home and brought the proceeds that month to our church and it pushed us over that month three years ago to help us finalize the building. Another gentleman that I've never knew who he was, you know, he started to send very large sums every few months from a different city. Eventually, a few years later, I met him and God was dealing with him that, hey, you need to help Hungry Gen build and assist them. You know, the person that most of you already know, who has been instrumental in what Hungry Gen has been doing with this building is Paul and his wife Tanya. Who took on this project, who put his business aside, and he took a large pay cut and a very huge increase in his stress and anxiety to oversee this project. And he was the one that God assigned, I believe, for this project, also and I can go on and on about different people that came to help that were assigned by God. Different donors who felt that for this season, this is where God wants to use them for that purpose. Thank God for destiny helpers. Would you drop this in the chat? Thank God for destiny helpers. Number nine, God supplies what we lack, not what we estimate. And this is massive. I severely underestimated how much our construction will cost. Now I was given the number. I remember four years ago when Paul and others told me that hey it will take about you know 10 million. And I laughed. I was like nah you know we're going to by God's grace we're going to do it in three or four. And I'm not laughing anymore. And they were correct and I was wrong. And I realized how much it costs to do something like that. Now, this building has a purpose. It has an assignment. But as I was reflecting this week, a thought was dropped into my spirit. And that is this. God will supply what we lack, not what we estimate. A lot of times we estimated we needed this much and then turns out we needed three times more by the time the project was coming up because we didn't foresee this. Something else the city made us to do it last minute. These people came up. That came up. This came up. And you know what I found is we have our estimates. We have our fundraising, what we raised, and there are stuff we don't even know about. And God does. And he always supplies what we lack. You might be building a home. You might be planning for school. You might be, you know, doing some project. And here's your estimate. And I'm going to tell you it's going to be more than that. And I'm going to tell you also, God is so faithful. He will always supply the lack. Drop this in the chat. God will supply what we lack, not just what we estimate. God is not looking at your estimate and says, okay, this is what you needed to build your home. This is what you needed to buy the car. This is what you needed to finish the school. Yeah, I understand. This is what you needed to send your kid to school. And now prices went up and everything. Oops. I don't have for the real needs that you have. I only have it for your estimates. Oh, you really asked for this in the beginning of the year, but things change now. God supplies our needs, not what we estimate in our mind. He will always provide. Drop that prayer emoji in the chat if you're glad for that. And the last thing that I wanted to share with you and that is this. Certain seasons will mark you mark you forever. And a lot of our staff and I see them in the chat. A lot of our church, a lot of our volunteers, a lot of our kingdom builders, people with the gift to give this season has marked them. I will never forget this 21-day fast as long as I live. And I will never probably forget this January, as long as I live, 2026. Stuff that happened this month, stuff that happened last month, the pressures that came and the peace that came along, the presence of God that God supplied every day, every step of the way, the wisdom that he gave to our team. You know, one night change Jacob's name identity. One encounter marked Moses forever. Israel wandered 40 years, but crossing Jordan marked him forever. 40 days of fasting marked the beginning of Jesus's ministry. Why does God allow marking seasons to separate who you were from who you are becoming? Why does God allow these seasons to mark you? Sometimes it's a long fast. Sometimes it's a change of location. Sometimes it's a change of your relationship status. Sometimes it's a change of your education status. It's when you were doing school and then you finally finished. It's when you finally get that job. It's when you finally saved enough money that now you can actually take a pay cut and become go into a full-time ministry and something just changes. Your life is marked forever. There's not a lot of those moments in our life, but when they happen, God, they're good to establish a spiritual authority to close our old chapters and open the new ones to give you testimony nobody could ever deny. As I'm wrapping this up and I'm getting ready for prayer, Nehemiah 6:15-16, it says, "So the wall was finished and for they perceived that this work was done by our God." Drop this in the chat. This work was done by our God. As we are closing our 1-hour service, we've come to a time right now where we are going to also receive tithes and offerings. And a lot of us, we give through our phones, the church center app. And so when I close the service, you can do that or you can scan if you're watching on TV and give directly from the television. And if you are giving through the phone, we're going to drop that in the chat the link right now. hungrygen.com/give. If you are a Hungry Gen member, you know, or you visit Hungry Gen church, we bring our tithes and offerings, so it helps the operation of our church. Next Sunday, you will hear our financials and you will hear and get a little booklet that gives a recap of what we did last year with our giving of what we did last year with our resources and things that we accomplished through the glory of God. Also, next Sunday you will get a little teaser of what is expecting what we are expecting to happen this coming year. There's a lot of stuff you know a lot of things that you will hear for the first time. It's going to be exciting. And next Sunday, we are going to wrap up our 21-day fast. So, really, really excited. So, we got 7 days to go, church. Let's go. Drop this in the chat. Let's go. So, as I pray for tithes and offerings right now, and as I pray for this week, right there where you are, Holy Spirit, touch each and every one of us. I pray right now for our church. I pray right now for our community gathering at homes all throughout Tri Cities area and our region. I pray for our churches that will be meeting in few hours when church in Everett is going to be meeting and worshiping you and pressing in when the church in Spokane is going to be meeting in just few hours later Lord when pastor Rickard in Renton when they had that meeting last weekend and they're going to be planning those interest meetings that will be happening throughout the next month, Lord and they're preparing for that final that big launch at the end of February Lord. Lord, I pray right now for our teams that are working in the new building even today who are serving, who are giving their work. Some who are go be above and beyond, Lord God, to make this possible. Thank you for them, Lord. I pray right now for Paul and the whole crew that's involved in managing different aspects of this project that you will take care of them. Lord, I pray for our city officials. I pray for the fire marshal. I pray for our city inspectors. Lord, I pray, Father, that as they come that they will be pleasantly surprised of how well things will be done for your kingdom. God, give us favor with our city as you've been giving to us for the last 3 years. Lord, we pray for our police uh force, God, police department, fire department, our teachers, our mayors, God, our state reps. Lord God, we pray that you will bless them, favor them, God, that there will be peace and prosperity in our city. May our church be a beacon of hope. We pray for our campuses, God. We pray right now for our school campuses where we have Unashamed Clubs. Let revival break out, Lord. But today, Lord, as we reflect on the last 24 years, we say thank you. As we look forward to the next 24 years, we say, Lord, give us faith. Give us power and give us wisdom. Wisdom to steward what is ahead of us. Faith to push through the walls and give us power to break the chains that only you can break. Let Hungry Gen never be this sanitized void of spiritual power church but full of power, glory and anointing to set the captives free, heal the sick, heal the brokenhearted and bring the lost home and turn believers into disciples and disciples into disciplemakers. I bless our church, Lord. I pray for the next seven days as we are going. Let us finish strong in this fast. Give us grace Lord to finish strong. For those who maybe are going to jump back on this fast. Give him your conviction Lord that this will not be driven by guilt but led by the Holy Spirit. May this year be the year of breakthrough for each and every one of us in Jesus name. We love you Holy Spirit. We love you Lord. Amen. So, as you are giving today uh through your app or through the website, may God richly bless you. Hungry Gen, would you stay connected on our Slack throughout the week? Check your Slack. And if you don't know what Slack is, you probably received an invitation, but go ahead on Slack, just drop an emoji or something. Just, you know, so you can stay in communication. And this is where you can kind of, you know, share your prayer requests, engage with our team and so that you can keep aware of what is happening. And then Genesis and Casey are doing such a great job communicating to each and every one of us about the updates with the new building. And a lot of times they're like very last minute. So just kind of enable some kind of a notification at least on the main channel and on direct messages. And so, and I can't wait to see you next Sunday. I do believe I do believe that next Sunday we'll be together um in our new building. But we will keep you posted every single day of what is happening so that you are in the loop. Can't wait for the new season. Great things are best are to come. And our benediction Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Blessings, until next time.
