God Said: Honor Them

These are the commandments from God Almighty, the human race. These ten commandments for those of you who are listening by television are not recommendations. They are commands. They are commands by God Almighty who has the authority to make that commandment. God is not in heaven saying let's make a deal.

God's in heaven saying this is the deal. Why is America imploding from within? Why the violence? Why the murders? Why the assassination attempts on presidential candidates? Why the transsexual brainwashing? students are leaving home knowing who they are and are coming home from school not knowing if they're supposed to be a boy or a girl.

This is moral madness. It is demonic. This is a rebellion against the plan of God. He we the people should demand this stop and stop immediately. America is collapsing because the people have forgotten the God of the Bible. We have kicked God out of America's schools, out of our universities, and out of some of our churches.

David writes in Psalms 9, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all nations that forget God." I think God is looking at America and saying, "You kicked me out of the schools. You've kicked me out of the universities. You've kicked me out of your cities. Now I'm going to let you experience your own choices.

It's time for heaven to hear a time of repentance and then a time of restoration. And that must happen if America is going to survive. God gave us the Ten Commandments so that we could live life and live it more abundantly. Jesus said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things shall be given unto you.

Righteousness comes before the promises of God." The first four commandments deal with our relationship with God. The fifth commandment and those that are following speak of our relationships with each other. The Ten Commandments are God's blueprint for a happy life, a great society, a way of taking America back to the moral sanity and the preservation of our country.

James Madison, the fourth president of the United States, said, quote, "We have staked our nation's future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments with all of our heart." to follow the Ten Commandments with all of our hearts. When is the last time you heard something out of Washington like that?

The fifth commandment, honor thy father and thy mother, is God's command to focus on the family. The fifth commandment is different from all of the others. Why? Because it is the first commandment with a promise. It makes a promise. If you honor your father and your mother, you will have a long life that will be a happy life.

If you honor your father and your mother, it will be well with you in the land. Meaning you will have prosperity. Putting those two things together, how many of you are interested in living a long and prosperous life? Let me see your hand. Some of you not, but most of you are.

The future of America depends upon the preservation of the Biblebased family. the Biblebased family. Right now, there are forces destroying the Bible in this nation in every capacity it can. That must stop. The Bible must come back to the family, back to the church, back to the White House, so we the people may experience the goodness of God.

God Almighty created the first family in the Garden of Eden. And his blueprint of the traditional family is under attack from all sides. God Almighty created male and female. And his first command was to be fruitful and multiply. Say that with me. To be fruitful and multiply. What does that mean?

It means turn off the television, put the dog outside, lock the door, and have children. Our government subsidized the murder of innocent children under the guise of choice. But thanks to the Supreme Court, the abortion issue now rests with each state. In Texas, we have a heartbeat law.

If you can detect a heartbeat of a baby in the mother's womb, it can't you cannot abort that child. Thank you, Governor Abbott and the Texas Congress. Now the real work begins. That is why we have created the sanctuary of of hope to give courage to young people to young women who have chosen life for their unborn child. an opportunity to a better life and a prosperous future.

We have a picture of the sanctuary of hope on 84 acres of beautiful ground that God has given us. Thank you church. Thank you television partners for making this possible. We are giving life a chance in San Antonio, Texas. Psalms 127:3 says, "Behold, children are a gift of the Lord.

The fruit of the womb is his reward." For 50 years, America through abortion has flushed the gift of God down the drain in America's abortion clinics. America has murdered 64 million babies and slaughtered on the altar of self those babies for the gratification of a selfish woman. America's reward with our open borders.

We are now being invaded by millions of terrorist criminals, sex traffickers, drug lords. Payday has arrived for the United States of America. We threw away our treasure and we are now embracing the trash. It's time to get leadership in Washington to get the trash back out of America to where they came from. 80% of America's young people in prison came from fatherless homes.

We are now being labeled the fatherless generation. Ephesians 6 and4 throws in about this issue. Paul writes, "And you fathers, not pastors, not boy scout leaders, not coaches of various sports, but you fathers do not provoke your children to wrath, but you train them in the ways of the Lord."

The Greek word for train is gymnot from we from which we get the word gymnasium. The message of Paul is just as a coach would show a boy how to shoot a basketball, a boy or a girl to shoot a basketball over and over and over. So must a father show his children over and over and over how to praise the Lord, how to read the word of God, how to pray in the house.

It's your responsibility. The fathers of America must come back to the families and support their children spiritually, emotionally, financially, and physically. This is the love of God in action. If you don't love your children, you don't love anything. The fifth commandment is a divine call to focus on the family.

You didn't choose your family. Think about that. Sometimes when you look at your family tree, you have to spin it the best way you can. God doesn't use the Ten Commandment to tell us how soldiers are to fight, how merchants are to conduct their business, how teachers are to teach or preachers are to preach.

But God does command that all children of all ages should honor their mother and their father. I repeat, the family is the foundation of the United States of America and the foundation is crumbling before our eyes. Our answer is back to the Bible. Vote the Bible. Read the Bible.

Live the Bible. This is our compass. The greatest question is what is the family? What is the family? The word family has been used to describe so many things that America has lost the true meaning of the word. The mafia calls itself family. Cults call themselves family. The church says we're the family of God and we should be.

You as a church member should look out for the interest of every church member that you know. If one of us is in trouble, all of us should be in trouble. We should help that person. What is a family? A family is not a house with a prestigious address.

A roof will keep out the rain. Four walls will keep out the cold night air. The floor will respond to the tottering steps of an infant or the feeble steps of the aged. A door will welcome friends or be a barrier to keep out enemies. A fireplace will warm those who nestle close on a cold winter's night.

But this is not a family. Is there a family in your house? Or have you become a group of self-centered individuals married to a telephone sitting at the table staring at it while you mechanically put food in your mouth and listen to the garbage that's on the news.

You should take those phones and put them in another room and sit down and talk to each other as a family. If Jesus didn't rise from the dead, faith would have no meaning and hope would have no future. But Jesus did rise and the same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in every believer.

A family is the picture of a mother cooking dinner for someone she loves. It's the laugh of a baby. It's the strength of a father's presence. It's the warmth of loving hearts. A family is light from happy eyes. It's a kindness on parade. It's a loyalty and covenant love in demonstration.

Home is the first school and the first church that you will ever attend. I learned from my parents what was right and what was wrong, what was good in the sight of God and what was forbidden. Family is where you go for comfort when you're hungry or sick.

When you have been battered and bruised by the world. family will open the door and welcome you and heal you. They will anoint your wounds with oil of gladness and wrap their arms around you. What feels like cords of steel holding you together in the storms of life.

Family is where joy is shared and sorrow is eased. Family will be glad of your success. Family will be delighted for your promotion on the job. Family will be proud of your making the honor roll in school. Family will buy every newspaper on the rack because you're the high school football, basketball, baseball, track and field hero.

Well, because you are the businessman of the year or the mother of the year. Families where fathers and mothers are respected in love. They are never addressed as old man and old lady. If that ever happens at your house, stop it. Their names, mothers and fathers should be used in hush tones of respect and reverence with advancing years.

They're not shuffled off to the sidelines to be ignored somewhere. They are your family. Whether they are in a wheelchair or reclining on a couch too feeble to sit up, they are there because they belong there. They are your family. Families where children are wanted and considered a blessing from God.

They're not looked upon as an inconvenience to my career. They're not considered detestable because they will destroy the high school figure I have when I give birth to these children. They are angels unaware that God has sent to be with us for a few days until they are released to make a life for themselves.

Families where the simplest food is good enough for kings because it was earned with a sweat of an honest day's work. It's not some deadbeat sitting on a couch waiting for the government to send him a check. Family is where the tea kettle sings with happiness. Family is when one man loves one woman and the angels of heaven descend to enjoy the beauty of that relationship.

Family is where the children love that man and that woman and that love is returned. That's a family. May God bless it. May God preserve it. May God bring it to your house. It's America's only hope for the future. Our families must be restored. I ask you the question, is there a family in your house?

Or are you just a group of people scrambling around with a different agenda having nothing to do with each other, harboring animosities? Stop it. God has something special for you if you will be a righteous family. Honor your mother and your father. It's not a recommendation. It's a command.

If I give you a recommendation, you have an option. You can either receive it or reject it. But if I give you a command, there is no option. God does not say try the 10 commandments. You try spinach. You try it. Sauerkraut. You try it. God's not in heaven saying, "Let's make a deal."

He's in heaven saying, "This is the deal. >> This is the deal. God is almighty. That means he is the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court of the United States disagrees with this highest court, they're wrong. This is right. >> God is all knowing. He's not Dr. Fouchy with a mask guessing the future.

He knows the future. The future is that Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, is soon to return to planet Earth to take the church into heaven where we shall rule and reign forever and forever as children of the most high God. The King is coming. God is all powerful.

He's not intimidated by China, by Hezbollah, by Iran, by nuclear weapons or feminist movements. He is the allseeing God. He is our father which art in heaven. We should honor him. We should obey him. We should adore him. We should worship him. There is no God like him.

Not in the heavens above nor the worlds beneath. From everlasting to everlasting, he is God. He is the cornerstone precious and elect in Zion. He is the shepherd that leads and guides. He is the rock of our salvation. He is our father. He is our protector. He is our deliverer who makes a way of escape.

He is the way maker, the chain breaker, the way, the truth, and the life. Give him praise in the house. This commandment is given for the benefit of both the child and the parent. Children are God's social security program. I'll say that one more time. Children are God's social security program.

Psalms 127 3-5 says, "Behold, children are a gift of the Lord." Sometimes when they get to be teenagers, you wonder about the gift. Children are a gift of the Lord. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of a man's youth. Arrows in the hand of a warrior are instruments of defense.

Defense from what? Defense from trouble, poverty, need, loneliness, old age. That's what this for. It is God's purpose to save parents from the tragedy of knowing how sharper than a serpent's tooth is it to have a thankless child. How sharper than a serpent's tooth is it to have a thankless child?

How can one man and one woman raise six children and those six children can't take care of that one man and one woman when they get to be old? Why? I tell my five children, when I get old, that means when I get to be 90. I'm coming to live with you.

And you will enjoy it, mister. I'm going to do for you what you did for me. I'm going to get in your new car and burn rubber in a circle until the rear wheels come off. I'm going to call all of my hard of hearing friends over to your house and play the television so loud it cracks the paint on the wall.

I'm going to eat you out of a house and home. I'm going to talk on the phone day and night. You'll have to cross the street to call EMS. Not really. The Bible clearly reveals that the judgment of God comes to children who rebel against their parents. Why obey my parents?

Because they know more than you. Their knowledge will save your life if you will listen. In closing, I hear parents say, "Pastor, I just want my children to grow up in absolute freedom. Please, wake up and smell the roses here. There's no such thing as absolute freedom. The stars don't have it.

They're hemmed in by the hand of God. The oceans don't have it. They're hemmed in by a shoreline. Man does not have it. He's hemmed in by other men. There's no escape from authority. There's no escape from responsibility. There's no escape from the value of the ten commandments.

Freedom is the opportunity to do as you want, not what you want. Jesus said, "He that will teach and do these commandments shall be called great in the kingdom of God." You do not break God's law, God's law will break you. God wants you to have the absolute best, but it must come first when you get your family in order.

Think about it. Can we stand? How many of you here say, "Pastor, my family is not unified. We're disconnected. We're divided. We're separated from each other. We're living loveless and empty lives." Or, "I have not honored my parents in the past. I've lived they've lived horrible lives. But I want to give my parents the honor that God requires.

Or I am a parent with children at home and I have failed in the past to spend time with them, to pray with them, to defend them when they were in trouble. I'm ready to try to do it God's way. Or you can say, "Pastor, I am a parent with children at home and my lifestyle is ungodly."

If you want your children to follow you, just keep on doing that, you need to change and become a godly example. If any of those things are happening in your life, I want you just to slip your hand up and I want to have a prayer for you.

Raise your hand all over the house. all over the house. Your family is divided. It's not together. It's not unified. Pray this prayer with me. Heavenly Father, >> Heavenly Father, >> in the authority of Jesus name, >> in the authority of Jesus name, >> I pray that you heal our families. >> I pray that you heal our families. >> I pray that the love of God >> I pray that the love of God >> would be born >> would be born >> and control >> and control >> our words. >> Our words, >> our thoughts, >> our thoughts, >> and our actions. >> and our actions.

Let the manifestation of the Holy Spirit >> Let the manifestation of the Holy Spirit >> be made >> be made >> in our families >> in our families. >> Let our children >> That our children >> walk the paths of righteousness >> walk the paths of righteousness >> because they're following our steps. >> Because they're following our steps. >> Let God >> Let God >> be the Lord of our house. >> be the Lord of our house. >> Who is the shepherd? >> Who is the shepherd >> who leads us by streams of living water. >> who leads us by streams. >> We receive this peace.
