so i need your attention okay bible study 6 a.m with the men with pastor greg tomorrow morning at the hilton garden inn at 6 00 a.m that is really early but there is no iron man tomorrow evening at 6 30. i want all the iron men to stay home with the families and grill out cook out whatever hang out do some fellowship it's good family time so no iron man tomorrow night also like i say um if you inspirational memes it's just a lot going on on the global vision online community facebook page so join that also we're growing so we need some volunteers in the parking ministry big time we need your help as we grow people come up to me all the time say how can i serve how can i serve man we need some help in the parking ministry that's the truth and if you do want to volunteer in the parking ministry or really in any other ministry um see cali in the very back will you raise your hand that's her back they're waving frantically in with cali so you can get plugged into the church um youth today is a deadline to sign up for camp there will be no youth this coming saturday jesse and brittany will be out of town again it's the last day to sign up your kid for the youth retreat so make sure that you get them signed up i'm going to be a chaperone on that really yeah we're taking a group to florida we might not come back the same i'm just joking god bless you pass jenny i'll pray for playing)) he said praise going this morning church keep that praise going this morning there's nothing better than the lord jesus amen the lord is in this house where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty and i'm glad you're here today and i'm glad god's in the house shout amen shout hallelujah yes you may be seated all over the house thank you for being here there is truly nothing better nothing better than the lord jesus christ and we're looking forward to his presence being shed abroad in the person and work of the holy spirit today in this tent in this house and we are honored that each and every one of you are here and we want to welcome everybody that is not someone from town or someone that regularly attends one of our services as you're if you're from out of state or maybe even a few hours within the context of this state we want you to stand if you're here today for this one service and you have tr wow look at all the people traveling here memorial day weekend thank you for being here thank you thank you it's beautiful to watch all of these people come in we've become what is affectionately known in the church world as a destination church and so even when we have holidays and our people are away on destinations we have people that frame uh the context of their traveling schedule and their vacation around us and we become a destination point and so that's a humbling thing a lot of churches in the summertime they have what they call the summer slump or the summer dip and their numbers go way down well usually in the summertime our numbers go way up because so many people travel just to meet us and see us and to be under the tent and there's something about watching it there's something about being under this tent amen that the lord always honors and there is just such a power here such a presence of the lord here let me remind you tonight the tent will open at five o'clock and we begin promptly just after six o'clock for our mass deliverance service please do not be past 6 15 because the teaching will have started at that time and you'll not be able to get in if you're going to be here tonight already and we have some fans and other people from other churches that are not in this service that will be showing up later and some are even watching right now but if you were under the tent now and you plan on being here tonight for our six o'clock mass deliverance service please put your hand high in the air just so we can rejoice with you look at all the hands amen we knew it'd be a good crowd tonight tonight will be week number 14 14 consecutive weeks of mass deliverance and the lord is still setting people free hallelujah amen speaking of the lord setting people free this past wednesday we had a little debate that was interesting time amen that was a beautiful opportunity to show forth the truth and the power of the word of god i'm more convinced than ever before that the word of god is on our side when it comes to deliverance amen more convinced than ever there is no doubt about that and so it was an interesting night that's for sure we learned a few very interesting uh untruths i suppose i i hate to inform you that apparently god no longer speaks to his children amen and so you can you can no longer pray because apparently god no longer hears that was heretical nonsense and uh if i was his pastor when he got home i would rebuke him for a number of things number one being untheological being totally anti-biblical and then using our platform against us to come up with all manner of hodgepodge foolishness but we remain cool some of y'all i thought i was gonna have to my wife started standing up i was like i just kept my cool it's all good i didn't say a word but it did show us that the purpose of the night was not for a debate the purpose of the night was to humiliate us using our platform and so you'd think somebody with a ministry called men of the word would actually be a man of his word and not do what he said he clearly was not going to do i got the emails where i told him not to pull that but he pulled that so uh it was fun it was all good so we were glad to have you dwayne so although you hate us you're still watching us so god bless you so it was fun it really was and uh it was it was super cool if you've not watched it yet make sure you watch it because i'm telling you tonight's gonna be lit because i'm more fired up for deliverance than i've ever been in my whole life i am so fully convinced that what we're doing is godly and gospel supercharged and right that we are not stopping anytime soon so it's going to be a beautiful thing well amen all of that to say be here tonight doors open at five o'clock and we'll make sure that things get started just after six usually about 605 but again please do not be past 6 15 because the ushers in security will not let you in for obvious reasons because we got to get started on time so that we can get into the renunciations it'll be a beautiful beautiful time men we will still have bible study in the morning i still always do that on a holiday because a lot of our men that normally can't attend are off on that particular day and so in the morning at six o'clock hilton garden inn and we will be having a marvelous time together well as we go into our offering today let's be faithful in giving to the work of the lord so often you know that about eight or nine out of 10 times when we take an offering we're taking it for other preachers for other kingdom ministries for other organizations that we can bless and that we can help and we certainly continue to do that we're coming up pretty soon on our monthly missionaries this next week and so that's going to be a beautiful time but one of the things we do want to do is we'll make sure that we honor the house because although we have a tent and a lot of expenses and things you know with rock and all the things that we've done actually down below we have a number of things that we're getting ready to do in our children's ministry and so because our children's ministry has taken off and we have so many new volunteers and people working in that and i'm sure they can always use more people there on a rotational basis next week actually during uh some of the worship i'm going to be going down and just kind of talking to the kids for a few minutes and just kind of blessing them and letting those children and those workers know how much we love and appreciate and support them but one of the things we want to do with our offering today is we have two things going on that's very important in our children's ministry number one many of you know that we just started a very successful homeschool network the global vision academy that we have here at the church and we already have a lot of students and coming this fall we're going to have a lot more students and so we have to get two modular buildings that will go in down below in connection with the other building and so we have to be able to purchase those and finish those out and that's going to be quite an expense and so we want to give towards that today so we can start putting back we're going to order those buildings lord willing this week it takes a number of weeks for them to get built and then to have everything kind of connected between them with a a balcony area and a standing in a sitting area and and so that'll be a pretty great expense to be able to do that and so we're going to give towards that for our school ministry and our children's ministry but on top of that as the children's ministry is growing one of the things we wanted to do years ago and it just didn't work out and we just weren't financially having the ability to do that with so much going on in our church was so much smaller in-house and online is one of the things that we want to do special for our kids and for the homeschool kids as well is uh we want to be able to get them a great big playground set amen we've never had a really good nice professional playground system for them and uh that has all the little nice stuff that you can walk on and play in and slide around and swing and all of that and it's about thirty five thousand dollars to get a super super nice one so we're gonna buy them one am gonna make sure that our children's ministry and our kids in the global vision academy have a nice place to be able to play and relax and have their time of recess and so let's give faithfully towards that today and i know the lord's gonna meet the need both in-house online globalvisionbc.com g-i-v-e-give and you dig deep and you give as well and let's give to the house let's honor the campus honor the house for what god's doing in his kingdom through this place and let's be able to purchase these buildings and purchase everything that we need so these kids can have a good time jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me and although a church grows massively sometimes with adults we don't want to forget about the children amen because the children are a blessing and we want to honor them and honor their parents and so let's give today with that in mind father would you bless today the offering as we give would you bless our children's ministry would you bless global vision academy in a powerful powerful way as we prepare to go into this fall semester lord i pray that you'd help us to be able to get these two buildings that we need and everything to go with them i pray the lord you'd help us to be able to get this this huge entire playground set lord i pray that you would do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think lord give give our kids one of the nicest ones that we have around lord that we can honor them and they can have a good time and parents can know that there's a good well-safe protected place where their kids can play and relax and have recess and so lord i pray that you just bless these needs that we have and lord on top of all of that bless the many people's needs that we will meet today tomorrow throughout this week throughout the remainder of this month moving into the beginning of next month lord in june as we give to the host of missionaries that we support around the world may we never forget that when we have needs arise you always meet them but the greatest context of our stewardship is give and it shall be given because it is more blessed to give than receive so help us today to be released in a spirit of generosity meet every need we know about and the abundance of needs that we don't know anything about and father today bless this service with your presence in the mighty name of jesus and all of god's people said god bless you as you give ((music playing)) so i've spent a lot of my life feeling like i'm not enough feeling like the things i do are never enough and who i am is not enough and anybody else felt like that in your life could become from it your come from parents could come from any number of places but i know that i spent a lot of time there and the first times i heard this song that we're going to do this morning it just shook me and i wept and i just it's just such a great reminder that i am not enough because of my enoughness i am enough because of his enoughness jesus doesn't walk around wondering if he's enough jesus doesn't walk around wondering if he's pleased his father and our enoughness comes from the fact that he is enough he is more than another so we are enough so i pray that this song lifts you up today and reminds ((music playing)) hallelujah you may be seated all over the house i want to do something a little different as we get started and we're going to have a we're going to have a word of prayer but we're going to do it a little bit differently maybe our keys folks can stay up here just for a second if they want to and play a little bit behind us you know as a uh i guess for lack of terminology communicator you get in different settings and you get used to certain settings you get used to certain things certain people certain ways that you say things and do things and then of course i travel and i've been in literally probably every conceivable situation you could possibly imagine so as a communicator i can sense when there's tension in the house unnecessary tension in the house so we're gonna pray and here's how we're gonna do it i want our staff our elders and our deliverance team to come forward right now all up to the front all of our staff all of our elders everybody on our prayer deliverance team i want you to start gathering around right here in the middle give you just a second to get up here get the collision of two kingdoms under this tent this morning you understand that right there's been a lot of attack against our church and against our leadership a lot of times but especially this week and i can sense although every everyone's welcome not everybody is welcome to stick around if they have the wrong intentions you understand that right so tonight we'll stir some of that up but i'm always well aware of the spiritual fact when there's some people in the house for the wrong reasons and i don't necessarily know who you are yet but there's some people i can sense it so i'm going to say this before we pray if you are here today to protest to take over and to speak out of turn i will give you the next few seconds to do so so i want you to go ahead and get it out of your system because it's going to be a lot worse on you if you do it and interrupt while i'm preaching understand we're done with that nonsense and so if you are here today for the wrong i want you to just go ahead go ahead and get it out of your system go ahead and do your shouting now go ahead and hold up your signs now all right i don't know if anybody's in the road today like they were last week just go ahead get out your system anybody any takers i'm gonna make sure you better i'm telling you i promise you a dollar to a donut you better do it right now do not do it while i'm preaching we will have you arrested in a heartbeat just like we did last week okay you will go to jail you will go to jail okay i just want to get that out of the system which will make sure that i gave everybody a chance i'm being fair i'm an equal opportunist so i'm just giving you a chance now don't come to me in the meet and greet line with your hatred okay i'm just i'm telling you right now if you have some get it out right now we good okay then i want to say this we're going to pray and be ready brother jesse i'm gonna have you pray i got to preach since i'll have somebody else pray i gotta do all of it uh i want you to be careful about coming against the work of god and i'm telling i'm not talking about protesters there are some people under this tent right now that's on the other side i know it and i ain't talking about left i ain't talking about democrat versus republican i'm talking about evil i'm talking about some witchery some sorcery and you in it thick and you know it okay and i can sense the tension in the air in the worship service and that's unusual for our church normally it's a lot more free than it was today now if you're a first-time visitor it's the greatest thing you've ever experienced because you have nothing to compare it to i compare it to what i deal with every day and every week of my life i'm telling you there's some people heavily involved in witchcraft and sorcery under this tent right now and i don't even know where you're at but god's gonna reveal it to me so god's given you a chance to repent and believe the gospel right now because i'm unsparing with it if i find out who you are i walk off the platform call you out during the service because i don't play games with the devil i don't play games with witches in witchcraft and sorcery and divination and jezebel spirits i ain't playing witchcraft games i ain't playing with it it doesn't belong and it don't belong in any church but it sure don't belong in this church so we're just gonna we're gonna pray off some of that tension so we can get to the word because the word's gonna feed us today amen the word's gonna give us what we need that's why we're here we're not here for greg like global vision we're here for the word of god so we're gonna break off some of the things that have been said and prayed against us and chanted against us some of the people right now watching that desire wonderfully and quickly that we fail and that we fall but i'm here to tell you god has raised this church up for such a time as this ((music playing)) and the enemies of god need to be well aware of the fact that when you stand against the things of god you can stand all day long and you can hold your breath you're blue in the face but if it's god's work you can't stand against it if it's man's work it'll fall but if it's god's work you're wasting your breath and you're wasting your time amen brother jesse father thank you for this day thank you for each and every person here father right now any spell or curse spoken against us i break it right now in the name of jesus any hex or vex put on us i break it in the name of jesus father send your angels down to fight on our behalf in the spiritual realm equip each and every one of us with the full armor of god father we ask right now that you start to just fill this place with your holy spirit begin to work in this place begin to move in this place surround us father surround us with your presence be with us father glorify us father just let us glorify you let us bless you father with our praise and our worship let us just bless you father with our prayers and our cries father we love you father we thank you for everything you're doing in this place we thank you for the miracles that we witness on a daily basis on this campus we thank you for every person set free father in the name of jesus we thank you for deliverance ministry we thank you for for your word we thank you for everything we thank you for our pastor we thank you for our staff father i ask right now that you you put a hedge of protection around each and every one of us right now up here in the front father i pray that you you anything that comes against us father that you break it right before it gets to us you you stop it father you stop any curses you stop any hexes or vexes that come against us father father i know that each and every person standing up here has gone under gone such a extravagant amount of spiritual warfare and father i i know personally that i've gone through a lot of spiritual warfare and father right now i claim victory over the enemy we all claim victory over the enemy we love you father we thank you for everything that you're doing and we ask that you bless this message that our pastor is about to give us we love you father speak through him and be with us we love you and praise you in jesus name i pray amen amen hallelujah hallelujah shout amen in the house psalm 103 in the word of god if you turn there old testament book of psalms just opened right pretty close to the middle and it'll pop open in there the book of psalms after the book of job just before the book of proverbs sandwiched in between psalm 103 if you turn there for just a few moments we're going to get into the good of god's word the lord has been just really dropping some beautiful truth and just some some word into my spirit that i can deliver to you today from really one of my favorite passages i don't know that there's ever been a time in the 30 years that i have preached that i have ever preached on psalm 103 on a sunday morning service in a setting like this it's just such a beautiful passage it's been on my heart for for several days now so what we're going to do in just a moment when we stand is i don't have time obviously i guess we can make the time to preach through the entirety of the text this could be very much lengthened into a a long series it's 22 verses but i do want to read the entire text for our time of reading because at the end of the day you need to be washed in what the word says not washed in what greg locke says and then we'll go back and we'll try to unpackage the first few maybe five or six verses so stand with me out of reverence for the reading of god's word psalm 103 is where we're going to begin we'll read the entire chapter you follow along make some notations some highlights and some marks in your bible and i believe the lord is going to speak to a lot of hearts today both in this room and online psalm 103 in verse 1 david said bless the lord o my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name bless the lord o my soul and forget not all his benefits who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy diseases who redeemeth thy life from destruction who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies who satisfy thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles the lord executed the righteousness and judgment for all that oppressed he made known his ways unto moses his acts unto the children of israel the lord is merciful and gracious slow to anger and plenteous and mercy he will not always chide neither will he keep his anger forever he hath not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities for as the heaven is high above the earth so great is his mercy toward them that fear him as far as the east is from the west so far hath he removed our transgressions from us like as a father peadeth his children so the lord piteth them that fear him for he knoweth our frame he remembereth that we are but dust as for man is days of grass as a flower of the field so he flourisheth for the wind passeth over it and it is gone and the place thereof shall know it no more but the mercy of the lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him and his righteousness unto children's children to such is keep his covenant and to those that remember his commandments to do them the lord had prepared his throne in the heavens and his kingdom ruleth over all bless the lord ye his angels that excel in strength that do his commandments hearkening unto the voice of his word bless ye the lord all ye his hosts ye ministers of his that do his pleasure bless the lord all his works in all places of his dominion bless the lord o my soul and all of god's people said this morning i want to speak on the subject the blessing works both ways the blessing works both ways you may be seated now father again we ask for your presence to be multiplied and poured out amongst us in this place thank you that the bible says thus saith god in the last days i'll pour out my spirit upon all flesh well lord these the last days and we as fleshly individuals need the pouring forth of the holy spirit i pray that you'd illuminate our hearts i pray that you would reveal to us lord exactly what you want said to every single individual in this room use your word to do it but we know of a certain fact that you do speak to your children you will speak to your children and you're speaking right now in this house and for that we are grateful so bless psalm 103 to our hearts and we'll thank you for it keep distractions to a minimal may jesus be glorified in the name of jesus we pray and all of god's people said the book of psalms is one of the most comforting books in the entirety of the word of god theologically prophetically and practically it is the go-to book whenever we're discouraged it's the go-to book at funerals it's the go-to book when we're at hospital beds it's the go-to book when people are depressed when they have a heavy spirit when they're full of fear when they're full of anxiety it is the book that we all go to to lift up our eyes knowing that our redemption draws nigh and here's what i love about the book of psalms not only is it the longest book in the entirety of the bible 150 chapters we call it the hebrew hymn book because we might read this as scripture the jewish people even to this day would sing them as scripture that's where you have songs of deliverance songs of degrees and such and so forth but the interesting thing about this book is it also contains the shortest chapters psalm 117 two verses and the longest chapter psalm 119 176 verses all of them except one mentioning the bible in every single passage so the book of psalms is a phenomenal book most of the psalms probably 80 of them were written by david some were written by asaph and some were written by king solomon but in the context of psalm 103 here's what i love when david is angry god lets him write that way when david is afraid god lets him write that way when david is hiding in a cave from king saul after 13 years of a psychopath chasing him all over the judean wilderness god lets him write that way that's the beautiful thing about the bible holy men of god spake as they were moved by the holy ghost you see god allowed divine dictation to permeate the page and so however the person would normally write god allowed their character to come through so although this is the inspired word of god he inspired fallible men to write the infallible word and only god could guide a man's hand like that now i don't have time to preach about the inspiration the authenticity the historicity and the accuracy of the bible but i will say this you know the bible 66 books 791 328 words 31 101 verses 1189 chapters and you can count the words later do you realize ladies and gentlemen that in the context of the bible it was written over the space of 1500 years by 40-plus authors most of which had never met each other a natural day in their life this side of eternity on three separate continents and yet all of it points to one thing this indeed is the infallible word of almighty god without error without contradiction and without argumentation this is the word of god let god be true and every man a liar i stand upon the principles of the bible this morning that's it i have nothing else as the great reformer martin luther said here i stand i can do no other we shall not be we shall not be moved because the book on which we stand and place our faith is the heavens see it authoritative thus saith the lord church that's the bible that we have i must remind you that god's name is holy god's name is to be revered respected in fear the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom but fools despise wisdom and instruction but there's only one thing in the entirety of the universe that god has ever elevated and exalted above his own name and that's his word and so i'm telling you you ought to reverence the word of god you ought to respect the word of god you ought to fear the word of god because if you are not in the word of god you are not in the will of god and that's the facts this morning so all of that to say the book of psalms is one of the most compassionately written books sandwiched between some great stories some amazing authorship penmanship beyond anything that we could ever imagine and sandwich right in the middle of the bible is this book of songs this book of hymns this book of worship this book of praise this book of adoration to the character of god and that's really what it is and that's why the bible says such things as the heavens declare the glory of god psalm 19. psalm 23 the lord is my shepherd i shall not want we know these psalms so well but if we're not careful we'll miss out on some of the theological juicy details that god wants us to understand and right here in the middle of the bible is one of the most power packed and action-filled chapters that we never hear about notice if you would please psalm 103 and verse 1 there is a phrase of repetition that will transpire a number of times five in fact just in this one chapter and then the next chapter both begins and ends with the same phrase bless the lord oh my soul you know it's interesting we read that in english and it doesn't do a whole lot for us but when you read that in the hebrew the phrase oh my soul is almost an exclamatory remark in the hebrew it's almost like an explanation point bless the lord explanation point bless the lord oh my soul and all that is within me with my mind i'm going to praise god with my marriage i'm going to please god with my money i'm going to praise god with my mouth with my hands with my feet with my eyes with everything that i am i'm gonna submit to god resist the devil that he will flee from me because in submission to god the power of the holy spirit begins to fall in our life and we have what you cannot naturally possess that's why he's a supernatural savior that does supernatural works amongst his people and anyone that would tell you that that has ceased is a theological heretic no matter what their name is because the word is still speaking every single day creation is still speaking every single day that's why romans 1 20 says that even people that have never heard the name of jesus will be without excuse at the great white throne judgment of revelation 20 11-15 because even nature speaks to us about the glory of god and the holiness of our savior and david under inspiration says bless the lord o my soul bless the lord o my soul and i want to say that blessing works both ways because here's what we say well god bless america well my question is does america bless god you see it works both ways we want god to bless our marriages my question is do our marriages bless god we want god to bless and honor our finances my question is does our stewardship reflect the blessing of god back to god it's like acts chapter 2 it says and the lord added to the church daily say daily such as should be saved every day god kept adding to that church that church that church that church why that church because that church was a good steward of what they already had and i say so often may i emphatically reiterate god is not looking for an individual god is not looking for a people that he can bless he is looking for an individual and for people that he can trust because when god can trust us he will automatically bless us and the blessing works both ways we want god's blessing but he desires for us to bless him in return to magnify him in return to exalt him in return you see you have to understand that blessing and praise and prayer and worship is not a one-way highway it's a two-way street god will bless me in direct proportion to how much i'm willing to put him first in my life matthew 6 33 seek ye first not second not third not 15th not next year not next week seek ye first today seek ye first today in the midst of all of it he takes care of our housing he takes care of our clothes he takes care of our food and because of that but seek ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness not your self-righteousness you seek his righteousness and all these things the natural progression of life the daily necessities of life give us this day our daily bread we preached on two weeks ago all these things shall be added unto you we are to seek him first god is not going to play second string and back burner in your life you cannot cut god out and expect everything else to come together in order it doesn't work that way people all the time well you know i know i'm supposed to read the bible but i need god to bless me in my finances i i know my marriage is falling apart i just want you to sprinkle some pixie dust on top of me pastor and make everything better and one day i'll get back in church one day i'll learn to tithe one day i'll fast one day i'll pray you cannot cut god out you cannot cut god out and expect him to be obligated to bless you because he is under no obligation to do any such thing blessings only come through the process of biblical obedience and adherence to what jesus said if you love me keep my commandments which means if you love him you will do what he says if you love yourself you won't do what he says it's that plain in the bible right so he says the blessing works both ways bless the lord bless the lord oh my soul we could just preach 45 minutes on that little phrase he said all that is within me everything that i have belongs to god you know all that we have in terms of stewardship are tools to be used in our arsenal to glorify god and to benefit the people that are around us did you know whatever vehicle you drive it does not make any difference if it's nice if it's brand new if it's a jalopy did you know your vehicle is to be used as a tool for the furtherance of god's kingdom did you know your house is to be a tool to be used for the furtherance of god's kingdom do you know why your marriage is supposed to reflect the gospel a husband being willing to lay down his life for his wife as christ did for the church ephesians 5 25 because everything that we do should be in full tilt submission to the lordship of christ so that when people look at our life they do not see us they see the god that is within us they see the jesus that is within us and about us and yet in the american church which as i say is far too american and not enough church god is everything but first these days we want big houses fancy vehicles everybody needs to like us big social media platforms no sacrifice no surrender no submission jesus is a genie in a bottle just give me what i want here's what david said i'm gonna return the favor and bless the lord if i'm broke as a joke he said oh my soul and with everything that is in me my mind my heart my will my spirit my emotions i'm gonna bless god and then he goes and says it again bless his holy name you see a recurring theme here we're like one sentence into the verse and he says the blessing works both ways you don't just get the blessing you are not to just receive it you're to give it back to god we're to honor him adore him worship him extol him we call it worship and praise we're not worshiping and praising the singers they're leading us in worship and praise of the presence of god he says bless his holy name his holy name now let me just stop and say this just by way of a side note he's not your man upstairs he's not your friday night buddy i'm telling you god is holy god is righteous god is perfect god is separate from sin god is not a man that he shall lie or the son of man that he should change his mind and we better get back to the place where we recognize the fact that god's name is holy god's name is holy and so he said bless the lord o my soul oh that is within me bless his holy name then he goes on and again and says verse 2 bless the lord oh my soul just in case we forgot okay this man understood the principles of pastoring and public communication he repeated himself because as your third and fifth grade teacher taught you the key to learning is repetition you got to tell people the same things because they forget we can come in here and get filled up filled up filled up by the time you get to the restaurant your tank's about empty we are leaky vessels and he has to remind us bless the lord that he says it again all my soul that phrase again means the the inwardness of who we are i want to just stop and say things as it's coming to me i had on purpose and no prepared outline at all i just simply wanted to preach through these first few verses hopefully i'll make it to verse five don't know me can't make no promises but i love that phrase he uses consistently reoccurringly oh my soul let me ask you a question what is your intimacy level like with god anybody can dress up and go to church once a week anybody can pray and i will lay me down to sleep or go to cracker barrel or waffle house and pray over their meal for a couple of seconds hoping nobody sees you anybody can put on a jimmy carter smile and any atmosphere around any situation fake it till they make it but the question is what's your intimacy level like with the holy spirit how much do we i say we really pray how much word do we consistently read you know what i found out about the people that don't read the bible they're always the ones that want to argue about it and they know jack sprout about it how much do we really spend time in what we call and on tuesday night you ladies know well the secret place and thy father which seeth the in secret shall reward shall reward the opening how much secret time do we spend with god how much do we go out of our way to make sure we can guard and secure that secret time with the lord let me share something with you i enjoy studying the bible study to show thyself approving a god a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth second timothy 2 15. by the way that's not a pastor's job that's a christian's job all of us should rightly divide the word of truth and the reason is there's crooks out there that are wrongly dividing the word of truth right and we have to combat that but i want to say this i love to read the bible prayer is not always the easiest for any person in this room because how many you know the devil tries to distract you he tries to give you a spirit of slumber and there's always some kind of confusion your phone always goes off which is probably the reason you ought not have it when you're spending time with god put that thing down but i'll tell you something about my prayer life i'm careful how i say this my prayer life personally as your pastor it jumped a hundred notches when we got into deliverance ministry in this church it amped it up holy spirit's like ding ding ding ding ding a winner chicken dinner say something son you can't fight demons and not pray that's why i tell our folks all the time on deliverance ministry we talked about how much leave i tell them all time look if you ain't praying don't you be up here casting out demons you sitting around looking at pornography don't you get up here and start casting out demons saying you're gonna start talking to people about the problems they have oh no you better have some intimacy with the holy spirit you know that stuff like that used to scare me i hear people say oh you ought to have an intimate moment with the holy spirit you ought to pray in the spirit then start reading the bible the bible says praying always in the spirit interestingly enough i read a verse this morning early in my office that said praying in the holy ghost so i don't care how you do it i like how i do it better than how some of you don't do it and i'm here to tell you nothing has enhanced my prayer life like deliverance ministry it's delivered me from apathy it's delivered me from preaching half baked sermons just to impress people it's forced me on my knees to spend time with my heavenly father and we better get to a place where all of our soul is consumed with wanting to spend time with god because what's coming down the pike and it's coming the only people gonna stand are those that are standing with god are those that are fasting those that are praying those that are well prepared those that are in the word of god those that are intimately seeking the lord those are the only people that are gonna stand these weak kneed melee mouth lymph wristed lukewarm christians aren't going to survive the storm that's coming in this nation they're not going to survive it and we have got to train ourselves to bless the lord and all that is within us he must be the sum total of everything that we are make sure you carve out time every day i didn't say every week make sure you carve out time every day to secretly quietly spend time with i don't care if that's in your office i don't care if you shower i don't care if you're driving down the road some of you need to pray while you're driving down the road praise god spend time with god and let him speak back to you because he really does do that regardless of what people in a stupid debate say he really does speak back no wonder most of christianity is miserable when they believe nonsensical stupid stuff like that that god can't speak if i got a god that can't even talk he ain't no better than a buddha statue he ain't no better than an idol i got a god talks to me i got a god speaks to me answers my prayer you say well i don't believe that well you go to the church down the road go burn incense to a buddha statue feed him some rice and oranges but i've talked to the living god of the universe because he's not the god of the dead he's the god of the living and living folks talk you better know my god talks to me i hate to serve notice on you and the devil but i talked to him this morning he talked back yes he did whoo that makes you nervous hang on we got another verse to go into he says at the end of verse 2 i love this and forget not all his benefits isn't that beautiful you ever notice how forgetful we are i i hope you weren't looking for some you know real well thought out three points and a no no i just won't talk to you from a heart forget not all his benefits we are so forgetful you know why he tells us not to forget his benefits because in the context of the israeli nation that's all they did he took them through the waters of the red sea you know what happened two chapters later they're mad at moses because there's no water to drink i'd have been like oh let's back up a couple chapters no water to drink so god gave him water out of a rock and first corinthians 10 says that rock was christ comma and it followed them you ever read that the bible says the rock followed them well brother like i just don't know if i believe that i think that's nonsense no i think you're a bible denier the bible says that the rock followed them followed them i don't know if moses and the priests had it like on a skateboard and pulled that thing around with them or it just kind of flowed i don't know but the bible says the rock fight god gave him water out of a rock that's why philippians 4 19 says but my god shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by christ he still gives water out of the rock forget not all of his benefits listen think of the benefits of the fact that you are not going to hell today that's a pretty big benefit don't ever get over that don't ever get used to that i'm saved and not going to hell that's a good benefit sometimes on the road i tell people look i'm so saved i could swing over hell than a rotten corn stalk spit the deadly eye and sing amazing grace that's saved right there amen that's saved right there forget not his benefits we're not going to hell forget not his benefits he's giving you breath in your lungs forget not as benefits you've got two good hands and two good feet forget not as beneficial you've got a church to worship in this morning forget not his benefits because he said i've not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread now sometimes it'll make it seem as if you about to write a sign and get on the corner but god takes care of his people you ever notice that sometimes god doesn't come right down to the wire sometimes he'll flip right over the wire you'll think oh my goodness this is the one time god ain't going to come through and he always does ain't none of you starved yet and none of you are going to because we should not forget his benefits oh the benefits of serving god and as the great preachers of yester used to say the benefits of serving god are out of this world and oh yes they are because the crowning day is coming what we do is not for down here what we do is for up there and we get those crowns and we cast them at the feet of the lamb and say thou art worthy he that redeemed us back to god again out of every nation out of every tribe out of every language out of every tongue and out of every people they cast their crowns at the feet of the land forget not all of his benefits i'm telling there's benefits in serving god there's a lot more benefits in serving god than serving the devil because here's what the bible says the way of the transgressor is hard the way of the transgressor is hard people all the time like well my goodness i just don't know why life's so hard i do because there's a way which seems right unto a man but the end they're of the ways of death you try to do things your way you'll get you results you do things god's way you'll get god results because if you trust in a man you get what man can do but if you trust in god you get only what god can do don't forget the benefits we don't have time to do this but i would highly suggest that sometime today sometime tomorrow sometime this week i want you to sit down either on your on your phone and do that little note thing of a deal or better yet just get you a good old-fashioned piece of paper and a pen and just start listing the everyday benefits that you have because god brought them into your life man you look like you write an encyclopedia britannica just go on a praise fest start thanking him for your shoes and then thank him for the feet you got to put in the shoes start thanking him for your socks start thanking him for your toothpaste i thank god for your toothpaste praise be under god thank god for your hair brush and if you bald thank god that you bald just thank god just start praising for everything you have start going around start praising god for all the kids toys start praising god for the kids start praising god for the dogs start praising god for the cats start praising god for everything you got in your house start praising god for your bank account even if it dries the birds there just start praising god what you'll find is you'll turn on a spike it and man pretty soon you'll be under the spout where the glory comes out and you won't be able to contain yourself you'll have a fit because you'll begin to realize god has been good to me think of all the benefits of serving god that's why it says don't forget it because it's easy to forget but i love verse 3. who forgiveth that's god all thine iniquities you know i wouldn't have a whole lot to rejoice about if god says i forgive most of your iniquities because i'd be concerned about the ones he didn't you know positionally we're perfect in the eyes of god that's a beautiful fact but practically we're still a fall down the steps best you understand that right we still got a flesh we still got demonic activity and influences and got a suit up and boot up and put on the whole armor of god but at the end of the day at the end of the day god forgives us all not some much many or most god's not selective in his forgiveness the way we are that rolled out so well say that again god is not selective in his forgiveness the way that we are ((music playing)) we choose who to forgive and not to forgive based on their performance or the lack thereof jesus already did the performance and said it is finished it is done it is over with what can wash away my sin nothing but the blood of jesus and ephesians 4 32 says we forgive others because god for christ's sake hath forgiven us he's forgiven me all of my iniquities all my blasphemy all my cursing of the name of god all my years of rebellion and juvenile delinquency he's forgiven all that witchcraft all that sorcery all that wickedness and godlessness he forgives all your iniquities that's what makes him god man doesn't have the power to do that i know some of you grew up in a denominational hierarchy and a structure of a church or even in a cult that told you that man has the power to dissolve sins no only jesus has the power to dissolve sins quit attributing the works of god to some man that has no power any more than you do matter of fact you ought to read matthew chapter 23 call no man father upon the earth for one is your father in heaven he's not talking about daddies he's talking about religious authorities call no man father i have one priest the mediator between god and man the man christ jesus i may be a pastor that feeds you the word of god and loves you and comforts you and do some marrying and some burial but i can't take away your iniquities only god can't forgive sins but i'm glad he's big enough bold enough and biblical enough to forgive all my iniquities not just a few of them people say all time well you just don't know what i used to do in my past i don't care what you did in your past forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth under those things which are before i press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of god you know a lot of you do a lot of you keep going to god about the very same thing and you think that he's still mad about something he's already got over now i know god doesn't forget he chooses not to remember and some of us ought to choose not to remember some of the nonsense and rebellion that was done against us but nonetheless it's almost like we come to god and we're life well here i am again lord it's the same thing i brought up last week and it's almost as if god is like uh what are we talking about you see some church taught you that god's holding your sin over you like a carrot dangling before your face leading you along in life god forgives restores and moves on huh forgives restores and moves on now i'm not naive i understand the principle in the bible that god forgives sins but doesn't relieve consequences so look if you kill somebody you can get forgiven but you still go into prison you understand that right so don't make stupid choices just because god's gonna forgive you we call that lasciviousness don't use the grace of god as an opportunity just to live in sin because if you've got the grace of god you want to live in holiness not in iniquity and ungodliness and so he said he forgives all every single one of our iniquities i remember when i first got saved i learned a little song rolled away rolled away rolled away every burden of my heart's been rolled away every sin had to go neath the crimson flow hallelujah my burdens are rolled away hallelujah he's all right he's all right hallelujah my burdens are rolled away you know it's interesting tonight when i peel in my head i'm not going to look up into heaven and hold my wife's hand and say baby i'm a little nervous about what sins god's forgiven and what sins he's overlooked and forgot to forgive i ain't gonna sweat about that one bit i ain't gonna fret over what god forgot to forgive you know why because when you get born again he forgives all your iniquities all of them but then here's the next part that i used to skip i used to go from verse 3 right to verse 4 and leave this sentence out because it made me nervous who healeth all thy diseases is that in the bible yes or no why do we believe god can forgive all sin but don't believe that god can heal all sickness now question does god always heal all sickness and the answer is no because sometimes the bible says this sickness is for the glory of god that the son of god may be glorified thereby not all sickness is a spirit not all sickness is a judgment but all sickness has one thing in common when god says so it has to bow beneath the lordship of jesus christ ((applause)) i'm not going to give any names but we've been getting letters texts emails our online support community has been reaching out the number of people that have been recently healed in our services in the evening deliverance services deliverance and healing right you cast out you deliver somebody from a spirit of infirmity then you pray for their healing the reason some people never get healing is because they got a spirit of infirmity that's got to come out first in the name of the lord jesus but we're getting all sorts all sorts of testimonies we'll start sharing them we'll start putting them online we'll start letting some people give some testimonies but i'm gonna tell you something this is beautiful last week we had a man under this tent and his wife they're watching right now guarantee they may be here to god be the glory great things he had done this guy showed up last week full blown stage four lung cancer throat cancer lymph nodes spreading all through his body stage four now i'm not the redeemer the savior the healer or the deliverer but i know him pretty well went to the doctor this past week i got the text on my phone i'll prove it to you got the names we know them went to the doctor got one of them scanned thingamajigs stage four buy your casket tell you folks bye you dying sir not one ounce of cancer in this man's body not in his lungs not in his bones not in his body not an ounce of cancer it's gone why because he heals all thy diseases that's why that's why we're watching it happen that's the new testament church i'll take all the criticism over that that's what a church is supposed to do and i used to go right from who forgives all your iniquities right to who we're dealing with no no don't skip that part because by his stripes we are healed there's healing in the touch of jesus and by the way that healing in the touch of jesus was not just in the four gospels in the book of acts because it was a book of history and no longer applicable to where we live today let me tell you something if the ministry of jesus is no longer applicable i'm out i ain't submitting myself and my family to a bunch of nonsense that there's no power in the name of jesus ((music playing)) mercy me i'll go sell some cars i can do some talking i bet i could sell a car i'll go over here for richie brothers i'll be an auctioneer huh you know you know i don't know i could do it huh if i didn't believe the ministry of jesus was still applicable to the day i'd get out i'd get an honest job but i'm telling you god still heals people some of y'all gonna find it out tonight some of y'all gonna be set free some of you for the last 15 20 years your doctor said well you're just gonna have to suffer the fact that you have bipolar take your medication you can never be any better now i chose that one on purpose because it's like the most confrontational one yet the bible says in james 1 8 about your bipolarism from your doctor it says a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways it's a spirit you do not have bipolar you've got a spirit that you can be delivered from and you can walk out of here tonight flush that stuff down the commode and never again have another episode in your whole life that's what the bible teaches i don't care what the news thinks about that we're watching it happen every week we're watching people that smoke for 30 years walk out without even a nicking the chick or chicken the nicking whatever you call that they don't even want it lady said i've been smoking for 30 years and i didn't touch one been gone for two months how does that happen because he can heal people he can deliver people he can fix stuff he can draw a straight line with a crooked stick he can still fix back problems he can still keep you from being an insomniac he can let you sleep because the lord giveth his beloved sleep and ain't got to smoke weed to do it right he still heals people so we can talk about that for a long time we'll be back to pick up on that this evening because we're going to watch some people get set free and healed tonight i guarantee we are you say i don't believe it i tell you to show up i dare to show up verse 4. who redeemeth means to purchase back who redeemeth thy life from destruction right there that's powerful now let's just circle the wagons for a couple moments shall we who redeemeth our life from destruction you see you were going one way doing your own thing thinking you had life you know all in the palm of your hand and everything was wonderful and you had an education and pretty soon the whole bottom fell out things were horrible in your marriage you got some addiction some crippling nonsense you can't get away from you can't sleep at night you got nightmares you got all these problems because i'll tell you something when you decide to go out and strike out in life on your own god will let you you can be a rebel and god will let you but rebellion of witchcraft first samuel 15 23. but if you would kindly and simply submit with humility to the lordship of jesus in your life you know what he does he redeems you he buys you out of the destruction that you brought about on yourself think about the destructive ways that some of you have been involved in your whole life think about it think about all the crime all the hurt all the thievery all the fornication pornography adultery lying deception hurt rebellion witchcraft think about all the things in your whole life you've been involved in there's a way proverbs 18 repeat it again proverbs 23 that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is always the ways of death man's way ends in death god's way ends in life and life more abundantly john says and he says right here i've redeemed your life from destruction let me tell you something he's redeemed my life from destruction i was on a gregory dewayne lock war path for years going my way doing my thing and my life had been destroyed my mind was destroyed my emotions were destroyed my family was destroyed my mom chewed her fingernails to the quick stayed up every night where's he at with basketball-sized officers just wondering when the police were gonna call and they did everywhere i went it's interesting you know jesus said the prophet's not without honor but in his own country so i came back to my own country right and people like correct locks up pastor vanilla ice is a pastor london so i'll be honest with you yeah and everybody's like you gotta be kidding me there's a bus driver in this town i i guess she's still alive i'm not going to embarrass her and give her name out she might be under the tent there's a bus driver in this town that drove a public school bus for 30 years 30 years and in one confrontation with me as a 15 year old teenager she resigned that day no questions asked that's god's honest truth resign y'all remember when uh some of y'all remember when mr west was like the bus superintendent i mean he was like a souped-up nazi he was rough this woman walks in throws it all down that day just from one altercation of unbelievable rage and rebellion on a highway in this town my life was a wreck rested six times on probation five times judge haywood barry locked my daddy up years ago and let my mama know he's going down the same road you better find a place so you know my mama did call my grandmama who's in heaven now and i don't know and understand theologically what's about to come out of my mouth but i know it to be the truth there's something about old ladies praying that god listens to for some reason i don't know what that is hey something about these gray-haired saints of god man they can get god's attention so every day my mama would call my grandmama on her break she worked down here to at the chiropractic place and she would call my grandmama and every day on my mama's lunch break for about two weeks my grandmama would pray god open a place for that boy to go god open a place for that boy to go she used to tell me when i was growing up one day you gonna be my little preacher and i would think granny you see nile as can be little preacher my hind leg what is that but she knew it god done spoke to her and gave her a word praise god she knew what was coming and sure enough one of the children's home in cleveland tennessee would not take me because i was still in state's custody and because i had stolen some things that were obviously what they were able to take and they thought it would be a detriment vehicles and all that kind of stuff and so they said but we know a place that we'll take him and lo and behold that wasn't a cowinky dink that was the providence of god good shepherd children's home murfreesboro tennessee 212 woodcraft road i showed up there april the 7th of 1992 got saved 10 days later and here we are because he redeems your life from destruction praise god he redeems your life from destruction my daddy didn't anybody my daddy showed up the other day just unannounced i don't even know he was in town my daddy is he's not like a cat has nine lives he's like two cats he's only like 16 right now i've never seen anything like he come rolling up here the other day we're riding him around in a golf cart he's like son it's amazing i never could have imagined it i'm so proud of you boy this is unbelievable look what god's doing you know why because he saw the other side and then i got redeemed from destruction and you can't change that i know my story and you can't debate my story and my experience out of my heart because it happened to me not you and you got your own story he redeems our life from destruction who crowneth thee i love that phrase it literally means exactly how it sounds he puts it on top of us dumps it on us shoves it down on our head he crown of thee with loving kindness and notice this not just mercies tend to mercies you know god's tender with us you know he he created us he even says later we won't get to it he remembers our frame he knows that we're but dust it's like we're born with a tag says you know fragile handle we care god could zap us beat us kick us abuse us no no he's tender with us he's kind even when we're undeserving of his kindness he's a god of meekness not weakness meekness strength under control he could destroy me in a second but he's tender with me he's patient with me he's loving he's compassionate he's full of mercy he's full of forgiveness he's ready to have mercy upon me he's ready to forgive me he's ready to bless me if i'll ready myself and submit to him and i love that he crowns me with loving kindness just pours it on me pours it on me poor just keeps on keeps on keeps up he crowns me with loving-kindness and tender mercies there is no one in your life that is more tender than god is with you now be tender with others i tell people what i've had to learn to develop in the ministry is thick skin and a soft heart don't ever reverse those two don't ever get soft skin in a thick heart and that resonates with a lot of you in this room right now don't switch them so i've had to learn outwardly not to let stuff bother me but inwardly i still got to be empathetic and kind and loving and that's not always an easy balance especially as a pastor but god's tender with his kids like we should be tender with our kids are we stern yes do we lay down the rules yes at our house we call it the golden rule he that make it the gold make it the rules why because i said so that's not an answer it's only one you getting sit down when you get out of house and pay your own bills you can get a better answer but right now because i said so that's the golden rule i make the gold i make the rules sit down yeah i can't say amen but nonetheless even in the midst of that we got to be tender we got to be ten god's tender with us he could shake us like a rag doll and be worthy and holy in doing it but he's tender with me but then notice i'm gonna get to verse five we'll go quit who satisfieth thy mouth with good things it's interesting that god uses the descriptive terminology that he does use it's very visual who satisfies our mouth with good things you know why god does that because he knows within our flesh there's a lot of evil things that we crave there's things that we taste in this world there's things that we devour and eat in this world and god said let me tell you what i want to do son i want to satisfy those cravings and those longings with holiness with righteousness with godliness with separation from the world i wanna i wanna satisfy those cravings with the good things of god because after a while what you'll find is that sin is pleasurable but only for a season you hear me is fun for a season but i'll tell you something for some of you your season's about to run out ((music playing)) you've been chewing on something that tastes good but proverbs said it's going to turn to gravel in your mouth gravel in your mouth and god said let me satisfy you with the good things of god so my question this morning before we finish this verse is this isn't he enough why do we think we have to have so much more he's enough he's enough when you're broken and you're hurt he's enough when there's no money in the bank he's enough when the economy goes crazy he's enough no matter who's in charge in the white house he's enough he satisfies our mouth with good things when the storm that is approaching us quickly overtakes the nation and the world you know what god's going to do to his people satisfies with good things i ain't going hungry are you ain't going hungry he satisfies us with good things and i say often and might i reiterate when things aren't good god still is god is still good no matter what you face my troubles have come and my troubles have gone and more trouble is on the way one thing is for sure my troubles endure for my trouble will meet me today so often i've tried just simply to hide my face from its long gazing stare yet running my best from east to the west i find that my trouble's still there from dusk until dawn my troubles were alone and it seems like my troubles won't end but then as i look in the words of god's book i find there that trouble's my friend i wrote that poem 20 years ago and i've never forgotten it to this day because it reminds me when things in life are not good god still is good there'll never be a time that god ever ceases to be good because there'll never be a time that god ever ceases to be god amen church satisfies your mouth with good things so that in order that in the process of here's the results of god doing these things in the first few verses and we're done so that thy youth is renewed god's a renewing god he's a reviving god a restoring god so that thy youth is renewed like the notice please the analogy that god uses here and at least four or five other times in the text of the bible eagles ever notice he always compares his people isaiah 40 31 to the eagles he always compares his people to the best of the best to the strongest bird to the most resilient bird that has long life strength he always compares us to that he never compares this to buzzards notice that he never says your youth shall be restored like the crows of the field no no like the eagles like the strength and the power and the stamina of the eagles but here's what's interesting and with this we're just gonna have to quit because let this be a teachable moment for everybody under the tent and online i used to wonder why he would make such a phrase like that why compare us to the youth of an eagle why compare my lack of strength to a renewed vitality and strength like the eagles why am i youth why my strength why why those illustrations why such an analogy lord well let me explain to you why did you know that an eagle from the very first time that it's ever kicked out of its nest and its mama will kick it out relatively quick and out of the nest it begins to fall and fall faster and faster and faster until finally it spreads its wings begins to jet set around in the atmosphere all by itself but here's the interesting thing about an eagle did you know that there are eagles that are known to live to this day that are over a hundred and fifty years old that's an old bird right there's a reason that america uses an eagle and its strength and its stamina as its main indication for who we are as a people the eagle the bible in the book of daniel in the book of revelation talks about the eagle that swoops in and rescues the nation of israel take that for what it's worth but the eagle's a picture of strength but why does god say that he renew our strength like the eagles because from the first time that an eagle begins to fly and it begins to learn and its wings are filled with the rays of the sun like gasoline to a vehicle did you know unless it is injured maimed gets into some sort of an altercation with another beast that hurts its wing or it's shot down unless that eagle is wounded did you know from the time it first begins to fly to the very day of its old age death an eagle always has the same strength when it's old that it did when it was young remember the bible says about joshua when he was 85 years of age he said i want that mountain it belongs to me and the bible says the strength of his natural body had not abated he was 85 years old and you would swear he walked out of planet fitness like he was 29 wide slam open and here's what the bible says no matter how weary you get no matter how fractured your marriage and your home is right now no matter what abuse you've faced in your past which by the way you're going to be set free from tonight the six o'clock service no matter what hurt you're carrying no matter what financial burdens and responsibilities right now bear down upon you when you live in full submission to the will and the way in the word of god he will renew your strength so that no matter how old you are or how old you feel no matter how burdened you are no matter how many people walk in or walk out no matter what you face and no matter the diagnosis from your doctor god says i have the ability to renew you in such a way that your latter days will be greater than your former days that the end of your life can be more blessed than the beginning of your life and i'm here to tell you that's why the bible says o taste and see that the lord is good we have a craving for the things of this world and god said oh no no you taste what i've got you for you who satisfieth thy mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles and the blessing works both ways if we want him to bless us we're going to have to get into a place of submission where we fall on our face and we simply bless him and all of god's people said ((applause)) i'm gonna be honest for just a minute i'm just up here trying not to cry off my fake eyelashes amen which i never put on it i did today for the first time because i thought you know what i had a birthday yesterday and i'm just trying to feel younger than i really am hallelujah um you know last night i laid in bed and i told the lord i've been going through something with one of my kids that's been really difficult for me and most people would never know that because i just don't let people know that there's something wrong and last night i laid in bed and i told god i was like i just want to remember who you are because i know that no matter what it feels like right now doesn't mean that that's really how it is right the enemy has a way of making things seem so much worse than they really are and so much bigger than what they really are and so last night i laid in bed and i didn't even tell him this so he didn't know i always ask him on saturdays like where are you going to preach on tomorrow he's like oh i don't know the lord will tell me i'm like oh you're running out of time buddy but last night i told the lord i was like you know god i know all the things and deliverance and i love deliverance i really do it's changed our lives and changed our home but i told god last night i was like would you just speak to his heart because i just want to remember who you are because right now i don't know i don't know what i know right and um so today i sat down there and i was like wow god hears me hallelujah amen and god speaks to his children ((music playing)) last week monica told me she said i can always tell when you're worshiping your way through something and i have been for several months now and today when they started singing that song she knows that i love maverick city music so i was really excited about that song she's been telling me all week we're gonna sing gyro on sunday and so like i knew that and i was prepared but i was standing down there for worship and god said you're gonna have to praise your way to your breakthrough even when you don't remember all the things that i really do know right and all the things that you really do know because this is what i know i know that there are more people under this tent right now than myself and sometimes you just need to remember who god is ((music playing)) you need to remember his loving kindness to you his faithfulness to you the fact that he truly is enough in every season in every valley even when things don't make sense even when you're like god are these kids ever going to get it you know because that's kind of how i feel right now and today listen i really want to pray some great prayer for you today but the truth is is that i don't even know that i have words to say because i'm so overwhelmed with the presence of god right now i'm so overwhelmed with the goodness of who he is and the way that he really can meet you exactly where you are in the middle of your trial that maybe nobody knows anything about and he can just come in and remind us that he is still good he's still good no matter what he's still good and he's still enough and he's enough for me right here in this place and he's enough for you right there in your place and so i don't know how many of you today just need to come and praise your way to your breakthrough but he is worthy to be praised in the middle of your storm because he's still the god that says peace be still and we're just going to invite some folks right now just go ahead start coming lord speaking to your heart lord's got something for you you got a burden something you just can't get through come on if you're going to be baptized today walk around the back or the front wherever just come over to my right your left this bill and the crew will be over there we'll get to in just a minute but we got some folks come on right now this is ministry time let's get right with
