other one i don't know it's kind of just a generic key you need to come see me and get your keys if not i will take it as a love offering amen i'll tell you that's a good father's day present happy father's day once again i want to let you guys know that we have bible study in the morning with pastor greg at the hilton garden inn at 6 00 a.m also tomorrow evening the iron man men's ministry has a bible study at 6 30 we have food fellowship and awesome bible study we're going to be getting into a a misunderstood passage that a lot of people are confused about but i'm not gonna let the cat out of the bag you have to come and check it out all right also as we grow we need volunteers across the board especially in the parking ministry come see me if you have a want to do that also this one's kind of a long announcement i announced it last week and we had a lot of responses to it so i'm going to do it again global vision has a lot of online facebook pages that you can be connected to this is really good for the online community but also good for the in-house so i'm going to go through the list of facebook pages so you can stay connected first one is the ironman facebook page come check came along and actually used the term abba which is kind of like daddy how many how many of you need some of your daddy's love today some of that good hold you close holy and tight bear hug daddy love this morning so i just want to release that over you some of you may not have a father today but i want you to know that you have a father that will be everything that your father was not and if he wasn't there you've got one that will always be there so let's put our affection on him this morning just declare his goodness ((music playing)) it's who you are ((music playing)) it's who i am you're a good good man it's who you are it's who you are ((music playing)) if you believe he's a good good father lift the roof off his place for about five good seconds amen just give the lord some praise in his house this morning we're here to worship jesus ladies and gentlemen hallelujah he's a good father i said he's a good father no matter what you're facing no matter what situation is coming your way no matter what the devil has planned for you he's a good father if you believe it shout hallelujah shout amen to god be the glory yes he's a good father in this house you may be seated all over the room thank you so much for being here happy father's day amen happy father's day thank you for being in the house we're honored to have you this past wednesday night was well over 100 degrees in the tent but it feels pleasant today and i'm glad the lord's given us a sweet breeze and i'm glad that you are here if you believe god's going to change your life today because of the power of his word i want you to shout amen in the house how many of you we don't always get a chance to do this because we get to running and moving so fast and uh sometimes i'll forget to ask this question or make this announcement how many of you today and we have this every week and this has been two plus years of so many people every single sunday hundreds of people show up for one service fly in drive in walk in ride a mule in from all over america and around the world people have been coming to our deliverance service from australia from hong kong from canada from france they've been coming from all over the world to get set free how many of you today are not from the great state of tennessee but you have traveled here stand up all over the room we want to honor you if you look at this look at the massive amount of people on both sides of this tent my goodness hallelujah people not from the state of tennessee thank you you may be seated and this is well over well easter was two full years of this happening every single sunday when hundreds of people just show up for the first time can you imagine if everybody showed up at once wow it's just beautiful to watch what the lord is doing in this house and we thank the lord for it thank you so much for being here today we we honor you for your presence and we are privileged to be able to host the presence of the lord today in this house let me just make a couple of quick announcements as my daughter and pastor danny said we do have our service tonight for our deliverance service at six o'clock if you are here and you're gonna be part of our deliverance service once you stick your hand high in the air if you travel to be here for that all right that's gonna be a great delegation of people tonight let me remind you we start at six tent opens at five and uh this is a much different service of anything that you are used to this will be 16 straight sunday nights 16 straight sunday nights when hundreds yeah thousands of people have traveled here to be delivered to be set free by the power of the lord jesus christ we have watched addictions flee we've seen depression leave we've seen homes marriages put back together and so please be here tonight we tell everyone and we don't want to be a jerk for jesus but this is the one major rule that we have do not be past 615 or the ushers and the security won't let you in simply because we have to be able to let you get involved in the teaching we want you involved in the teaching we want you to hear what it is and so you can't be past 6 15 or you'll have to pick another sunday evening to come amen that makes sense say amen so please be back tonight and do not be late on that account that would be a beautiful beautiful thing it's been a great week and my family and i got back early yesterday from our time away for a few days and it was beautiful a great time to relax but there's no place like this place around this place anything like this place so this must be the place amen so i'm glad to be back home i love this church i thank god for you folks and of all the places i preach all over america and around the world every week this is my favorite place to preach there is no doubt about that i love this church and i thank the lord for what he's doing in this house well today is a special day you know that the lord has privileged us with our platform to be able to have a number of influencers ministry-minded people politically minded people business motivated people all different walks of life that we have had on this platform last week the activist mommy miss elizabeth johnson was able to bless her and that was a great honor to to host her for a little while and let her speak of course you know roger stone's been here a couple of times and john schneider was just here the duke boys not too long ago and we've had all sorts of people charlie kirk all kind of folks right general flynn on his way and so we got all kind of people that have been to this tent that have shared testimonies that have talked about what we've seen the last couple of years with the pandemic and with the election and all of that but i got to be honest i am so super excited about today's guest for several reasons for a number of reasons ((music playing)) one of which is because he is a man of his word i mean there is nobody and i mean nobody in america that has put more personally skin in the game into election integrity than this man there is no doubt i mean we're talking about putting your money where your mouth is amen and i mean he is sewn into this nation to make sure that we know that this is still the god blessed nation the united states of america ladies and gentlemen and we're not going down that easy the ship's not going to sink anytime soon global vision i want you to get on your feet make welcome my friend mike lindell to the platform hallelujah ((music playing)) he's not just the founder he's the inventor of my pillow god bless you brother you're in liberty here i love you ((applause)) thank you thank you i actually took some notes here usually i don't do that i watched roger's phone last week he goes i want to be surprised by what i'm going to say um thank you the um i want to tell you you know here on father's day the importance of father's day the uh and the family i want to say a couple things you look what's going on like in michigan now the attorney general wants to put a drag queen in every school it's disgusting and uh but they did a poll um in a prison in kansas this is about oh four or five years ago and how many of the inmates in there remember these are felony felons where both their parents got married planned their child had the child and were still married while the inmate was in prison zero percent as you moved up to the uh county jails then you had more marriages staying together and more fathers in their lives and uh so i'm just gonna if i put that out there because it's kind of like my story i'm gonna tell you a little bit of my story and then i'm going to tie it into where we're at today as a country and as a world actually the um um my uh my story starts i was uh in 1968 i believe it was uh i was seven years old and my parents divorced and i was put into a new school where i was the only child from a broken family divorces weren't common back then so i put in and i would and i write away the devil got in there with their lies that i wasn't good enough i didn't think i fit in i would i was very kind of introverted if you can believe that i wouldn't talk to people or i would show off and say watch me jump out this bus window as the bus was going 40 miles an hour you know so i either became a show-off or i would not talk and um i think this is common when uh and when in childhood the fatherlessness in our country and what's happened is just uh um you know it manifests into the devil getting in there and with these lies but um so for me i'm gonna i'm gonna fast forward and i'm gonna go okay i was introduced to uh i was in uh i became an addict um with alcohol but then uh cocaine i was introduced in 1982 and when i got in cocaine it was uh and like all other addictions do it gives you a false courage but it also mass pain and those two things the masking pain and the false courage but it was perfect for me and uh and that time you know i was always an entrepreneur so i was always doing different things and and um and uh like my sister would she popped a water bed on the second floor of an apartment building and flooded the whole apartment complex so i became a carpet cleaner you know it was problem solution problem solution well anyway the um so i was a very functioning ad i prayed to god i had to skip through all this stuff in the early 80s i had everything happened to me you could imagine from i had 14 near-death experiences i from uh falling asleep on a motorcycle going skydiving and having the parachute malfunction so in the same day and and uh but that's a bad day and uh and uh and plus getting in trouble i remember getting uh 17 traffic tickets on my motorcycle because i didn't have a motorcycle endorsement and i was i was out running the cops and i was uh i go to go to court and uh it was 17 years old and i told my mom on the way there mom whatever you do you know don't tell them i can't be tried as an adult or they're going to put me in jail you know and you don't want your son going to jail well we practice all the way to courtroom we get in there the judge comes in and my mom stands up and goes your honor i'm tired of him getting off easy i want him tried as an adult i go that's not what we practiced and then i got up and said to the judge i said your honor if you if you let her if you try me as an adult what she just said should not be admissible because i would she shouldn't be here and i had he said sit down mr lindell you know but it was i thought it was a good argument then i said and she would be a hostile witness but uh but anyway i became uh i i prayed i was in when i went to college for one quarter dropped out and and my five year class reunion everybody there would either finish college or they had started families or they had uh pro you know advanced in their careers and and i had nothing all i had was uh um stories like i just told you and at that reunion i took over that reunion i said yeah do you know i had the mafia at my door they were going to kill me because i own them for football bets and everybody's whoa whoa and well i got home that night and i laid in bed and i was i was in tears there was a deep sadness that came over me that i really wanted what they had and uh and uh it was just a loneliness like i've never felt and i prayed to god i'd always have these reactionary prayers remember that term reactionary prayers i'm going god please i just want a family i want uh i want children i want grandchildren i want you know this is what i was praying for well i was handed that on a silver platter in 1987 and was married 20 years and i want to say right there i was i was a very functioning addict i think everybody thinks of addiction as people and the streets homeless been there too but but it uh it's it doesn't matter how many forks you eat with addiction affects all of us all of us you know from zero forks to four forkers and everything in between okay and we so that was 20 years but during that time i remember you know i had a bar i was an entrepreneur i bought bars i always i would always just kind of man you know addiction i'm going to tell you addicts are hard workers it's addiction is hard work it's one of the hardest work there is you're not constantly hiding chasing all kinds of stuff well i had a bar for 13 years and not a good place for an addict but um in when the bars would close at night we'd go to my friend's house or whatever and we'd be doing cocaine drinking whatever and i'd be sitting there telling him about jesus and stuff that i read in revelation when i was in jail i would always read the bible when i was in jail and i'd go to write to revelation you know and uh i would sit there and convince them about you know for me it was always trying to talk myself into god and and i would use mathematics like what are the odds you have a one in a million happen or a one in a billion happen you add them together when does it become a miracle okay and i'm going this is impossible this had to be god this has to be god and so you i kept it adam together but i would tell my friends this and some of them would find the lord and the next day we'd my friends are going will you quit talking about god we're losing friends here you know and uh but so i'm gonna bring it up to the um i invented my pillow i got divorced in 2007 but i turned to crack cocaine in the early 2000s and um you know not that one addiction is worse than another but we didn't make jokes back then like what are you on alcohol it's like what are you on crack you know because it was so so far out there and um invented the pill in 2004 but i had i would i was turned down by all the box stores which has come full circle ((applause)) ((music playing)) ((applause)) but i didn't give up and then someone said well mike why don't you do a kiosk i said how do you spell that and we ended up doing this kiosk you know it took me a year to invent my pillow i just put everything i had into it and foams flying around the neighborhood and my sons and i are out there you know trying different things and so when i finally had invented like i said i was turned down everywhere so we do this kiosk but i couldn't do it because i couldn't talk to people i of course i couldn't be there high but if people came up they're right in my space and you don't get it's when i look back now it was fear of rejection well you don't get rejected if you don't talk it's a pretty simple concept if you sit and you're afraid to speak out you're not going to get rejected you know but uh so i couldn't do that kiss but i was there and this is like a little divine appointment i want to tell you about i was there maybe two of the days of my wife at the time she did most all the other days and we had borrowed money we had borrowed money from an ex-bookie for the to to be able to afford the kiosk anyway and um but i was there this one day that of a couple days i was there this guy came up and i sold a pillow and he said you have a business card i go no no no i'm all out i didn't have business cards i wrote on a piece of paper and gave it to him and so we go through christmas we had to borrow money to buy christmas presents i had four little kids at the time and we had to borrow money to buy christmas friends for the kids we had and the kiosk was a complete failure and other than you know we had sold you know some pills but they uh it was uh we're lost another 25 000 well in january as i'm sitting there going okay i'm not going to give up right i'm not i never give up and and uh about that time i'm going uh once again kind of a reactionary prayer okay god get me out of this what am i gonna do because now i can't feed my family and uh all of a sudden that guy called that one day i was at the kiosk and he calls up and he goes are you the guy that invented this pillow and here in minnesota here he goes i said yeah he goes well it changed my life he said would you i run the minneapolis home and garden show would you like a spot in there and i'm going sure and then can i write you a check you know and uh so i go to this show and the first day i put up i put a table in between me and the crowd so i could so i could talk it was like a block right don't come into my space if i was literally i smoked back then if i would go out to smoke a cigarette someone would say hey and got start conversation say hey i gotta get back in there i just couldn't talk to people unless that was behind that table so these people come in and they bought i sold 18 pillows that day and i had done my own marketing behind there and you know put the place like guaranteed the most comfortable pillow you ever owned because i would guarantee them that i went and uh anyway they came up i sold these 18 pillows something happened that never happened before since the next day they paid back then it was like ten dollars to get back in the show just to come and tell me that they that this pillow had worked and it changed their lives and and i was just like whoa and and for me it wasn't about the money it made me feel so good inside about myself that i had done something to help somebody else and and i was hooked on that feeling you know they and so i did home shows and fairs for like five years from 2004 and i got like i say things happen then you'd have to read my book what are the odds from crack addicts to ceo but things that happened divorced and uh there were lights out in our living room our house they turned the power out we were actually making the pills and labeling with a magic marker in our living room and my wife by the time couldn't take anymore she just and had to leave it was uh literally unless that was the spring of 2007 and as it rolled it got divorced it rolls into 2008 and in uh my it was uh february of 2008 and i was downtown minneapolis right where they burned everything up down there and a lot of my friends uh places got burned up during the riots a couple years ago well anyway i had been up for 14 days with no sleep and i and i come out of the bedroom and all three of the big drug dealers are standing there they're going that they knew of each other but they had never they had never met and i go what are you guys doing they go um we're cutting you off the one guy says t says we're cutting our tie says we're cutting you off you've been up for 14 days and i'm going i've only been up for 12 you know whatever and uh and they the one guy says he's not getting anybody from anything from my people and they're because they all had like sections of the town right there where we were and so two of them left and he sat and and he's gonna wait me out he said how much crack you have left i showed him what i had left and he sits there in the chair now i'm out of crack and i'm carpet farming anybody knows about crack scraping the pipe and um you know for 14 days i'm getting you know even if the paranoias weren't even going on because it was up so long well i looked over and he was asleep so i tiptoed out the door down to the streets of minneapolis and tried to buy crack and i couldn't buy crack anywhere and in any city in this country you can get crack in the middle of the night trust me and they're coming up to me they're going no no no but they had gotten the word out by the one dealer head and said he had went down to the streets that if you see some crazy white guy with a mustache you sell them crack and we're gonna you know we're coming after you so they had the word got out and these guys are backing away like i'm you know there's something wrong with me i searched for an hour and i finally come back upstairs and he's waiting up for me and ty goes how'd that work out for you and he said he goes man you've been telling us for years that this my pillow thing is just a platform for god and you're going to come back someday and help us all out of this addiction world we've been living in and this is what i would tell them all the time like i told my friends after the bars were closed i would see this like i am going to quit and come back and and uh help other people get off right well he goes give me your phone get off the drug and he goes give me your phone i'm going to take a picture for that book you've been telling us you're going to write some day and if we have that picture it's the um if you put that picture up now there this picture right here i don't know if you can get it on the other screens but anyway he this is the picture he actually took that night and um that's on the cover of my book where it turns from a crack addict to where i'm at now but anyway the uh so ((applause)) so but i didn't quit that night i didn't quit that night and the 2008 what had what happened in 2008 i look back in my life and say you're going to look back too when we get through all this you're going to say everything had to happen just the way god intended i was very incorrigible i took that bonus encouragement would come on because i'm and uh i knew and then that you know i had a calling and and that god chose me for the calling we all have callings and but i'm going wow if my callings if this is so big i can procrastinate and not just hit you know i could literally my sister would say you can you better quit standing in front of semis because god's gonna pick someone else you know well two things happened that year in october my son and i one of my sons we went on a hunting trip and i and he was 18 and he was living with me i'd already lost my house and lost everything with the crack well he was living with me at the time he was 18. we got back from the trip and he stood in the driveway and he and his lips were quivering as he told me he goes dad i want to go live with charlie and i thought i was hiding it from him and it hit me so hard i'm going i said sure you can go live in my head in the morning i'm crying inside and and i still think back to that but that when that happened it was just like i'm not hiding it from anybody and and then in december of 2008 i had nothing left material wise and my pillow was just a little blip on the radar and that little blip on the radar um i wasn't doing shows then it was just kind of you know um like i say it was just out there and and uh i hadn't done anything with it in months well my friend came to me he was my match in every way his name is dick van sloan and he him and i had both started cocaine at the same time switched to crack at the same time he was a functioning addict i was all our friends were well he had quit three years earlier and i heard he had found the lord and all of a sudden he shows up out of nowhere okay i hadn't seen him in three years and and he said i go dick what are you doing here is i'm staring at the ceiling at this house out in the woods he says he said he goes the lord brought me here what are you doing and i said dick as long as you're here i have some questions for you the first question i asked him is it boring and he said no man it ain't boring and now to this day and i talked to him for two hours to this day i don't know if i was asking him about jesus or being off drugs right but either way he said it ain't boring no um so but i didn't quit that day he left and then on january 16 2009 i prayed that night i said god i want to wake up in the morning and never have the desire again for drugs or anything and i said and then i'll do whatever i'm called to do and and i woke up that next morning and it was like groundhog day something's different something's different and the addictions were gone the desires right but but i want to tell you i want to tell you that that i thought that was me finding jesus because it was such a drastic change in my life and i and i um i didn't have um the desires who have gone they've left me forever well about two months later now my pillow my pillow was just like i say a blip on the radar my sister says pray for favor and i had these guys that stole my company and i owed i had to come up with 30 000 cash make that long story short i went and met with eight eight seas i come in there and there's they're all dressed in suits remember anybody that wore a tie in a suit and ate with more than two forks i was afraid of right and uh but i walk in this room to borrow this thirty thousand dollars i walk in they're all wearing suits and i start telling my story these guys took my company i need thirty thousand i'll pay you back forty thousand i said i used to be a crack addict and and uh but i'm gonna do these home shows i'm gonna get back my company and i'm going to help people in addiction their cfo goes wendy did a quick crack and i said last thursday and uh four of them got up looked for the cameras and left the room the other four stayed there and they ended up doing it just because with uh but they end up doing it and i did end up paying them back uh a couple months later but i'm gonna get past that story two months later i felt led to go to a church um it's up in minnesota it's called living word and they had a program called living free and i was led there by it and i go well why am i going i wanted to find out why i was an addict in the first place and you know it just uh you know because if i was gonna help people right so i get to this uh um this outpatient treatment call it and i walk in there but this is before this i see the counselor and the next night is my first class right and i come in there i go yeah i quit crack two months ago i said i'm i quit everything i was like gamble um compulsive gambler alcoholic all this stuff and i'm gonna write a book someday i'm gonna have a platform i'm gonna help the world i'm gonna have a recovery network and i'm telling him all this stuff and he he went he's going okay okay and he goes he went home and told his wife that night he said you should have seen this guy that came in higher than a kite you know because but everything i said came to fruition later on but but one of the things i want one of the things though that first day i went into that class i walk in there and i start a typical treatment you know where they shame you oh you did your family doesn't love you because look what you did you have to and now you've you spent all your money and and uh well we know that we're addicts that you know that you know it feel then you feel worse inside and anyway i started telling about all my drugs this grandiose behavior telling about how much he goes no no no no we we don't care what you did tell us about your father and i'm going what what do you want to know about my father i had a good childhood and they started digging into that and then with this thing was to to uh dig into the roots and then there was a whole program that you end up surrendering to jesus okay well i didn't finish the program but those seeds that were planted in there come back now and uh um that i'm going to tell you right now so i get out of this treatment thing and i spend i spend years getting back my pill that was taken okay my the first infomercial i did was in october 7 2011 my friends and family we pooled our money remember we couldn't get in box stores we pulled our money i said i have a vision we're going to the biggest infomercial in the world and and uh so we pulled i didn't know infomercials don't work it's only to go into your into box stores and and so i live in my sister's basement my other sister it's october 7 2011. that first infomercial comes on tv and it was just surreal for me and i had like 10 employees at the time 40 days later i had 500 employees and but but in over the next six months we took in a hundred million dollars and i said to my friend i said do you know the atms don't go to the seventh digit he goes i didn't know that mike well at the at the end of the six months everybody i woke up one day and i didn't use a bank i've done it all with the lord and whatever that you know helping me but i woke up i was six million dollars in debt i was in tears and i was doing this reactionary prayer again god please give me another chance whatever i'd done and and people had betrayed me all these things that had happened in that in that 2012 every everything i learned from that and so much that went on i went back all the way to 2014 when 2014 i actually met we were still about that and we're kind of up and then back down to about 6 million in debt again it was the summer of 2014 and there was nothing left in my pill it was like down to nothing so we kind of got a reprieve and then it backed down again well i met a gal named kendra reeves kendra she uh she uh i met her and she came in she we uh she's with me to this day but we we've uh we we met she goes she says um you know you don't have a personal relationship with jesus i go yes i do i'm a i'm a christian i wear my cross on tv and i believe in god and uh it was just like you know i was you know people used to call me on the phone when i was the only call center and they would why you're wearing your cross to sell pillows and i go no i always wore my cross i'd send him a picture of me in a crack house with my cross on right and uh and then they and then chris and then cr or people that were atheists would call and say you're wearing that cross or whatever and i would i would tell them about jesus they'd find the lord and i and i would keep and i haven't found him yet right so kendra kept saying we have to pray we have to pray and we prayed for my pill and we prayed for she prayed that i would find the lord right well i finally after all the encouragement things started happening remember i told you about mathematics things started happening to me in that in the summer of uh um 2015 um or actually the spring of 2015 i had a dream i would be in a room with donald trump i go why would i want to meet donald trump and these things kept happening at these divine appointments and i'll just fast forward through all them they all kept happening i'm going this could only be of god this could only be of god okay so i get to it was called a drop zone for veterans even though i'm not a veteran and i went into this this like it's like this five day retreat and i went in there with hope that i could get that personal relationship that kendra had and then i seen it in other people i knew i didn't have that i didn't know how to get it and i went in there and on february 18 2017 everybody is the day i got on my knees and surrendered to jesus christ ((applause)) and one of the one of the things one of the things the relief i felt there was something i could never forgive myself for that he had forgiven a long time ago and so at all everyone that knew me i just could never forgive myself and when i did that there was such a relief too that i knew whatever god had called me to do now i would be able to do it okay well two things happen one is two months later here's a guy that couldn't talk i was at u.s bank stadium at a pulse have been a christian event in minneapolis minnesota and i 50 000 people and i'm talking here's a guy and i do this really short five minute testimonial and i leave this whole place in prayer for enough for like a minute don't even know what i said and to two weeks later we're at this amusement park me and my granddaughter and all these kid millennials are coming up and they're going they're not coming up because of my pillow they're coming up because they were at that event they go your story it gave me hope i found the lord and all this stuff i'm going and and i knew that i was on the right path then just like back then when i sold those pillows to those people god confirmed that you know proverbs 3 5 6 trust in the lord with all your heart lean not on your own understandings in all ways acknowledge him and he will guide your path well that was an acknowledgement to me from god and finally my granddaughter though she'll say um he's my grandpa we need to go on rides you know but but then and uh but a couple months later i was at i get brought to the white house invited by the uh then president donald trump and he our great president and he and he i i get there everybody i get there and here's a guy with my record i didn't think i could come within two miles of the white house and i'm walking through the white house and it's just surreal going man did they check my past i don't know and uh so we get to this round table in the west wing there's 12 12 um 12 other companies small business or whatever i can't remember that you know manufacturer whatever and i'm sitting there and i go and i look over and this one doesn't have a name tag and all of a sudden he comes in he sits down and goes live on national tv now here's this picture here's that picture ((applause)) and that now now when this picture came on tv you all my friends all my crack friends that were on crack back then they go they go they quit immediately going jesus is real because there's no way this is possible that this crack addict is on tv with the president united states and and that was a miracle everybody and now and i'm going to tell you to wrap to wrap this up i want to tell you we all have platforms right now and we all have callings we're all here for such a time of this in history and i want to tell you by the way before i tell you this last minute i want to tell you if you're hurting out there in addiction i do have that lindell timing okay everything that's happened has been on god's timing just like 2012 with my pillow if i didn't learn from that if i hadn't learned from that and made all those changes where i've sold 76 million my pillows over 2 000 employees that if 2012 hadn't happened i wouldn't be in that place right now so i'm telling you with the 2020 election everything that has happened is meant to be more and more people every day are coming to jesus like you wouldn't believe we're we are we are in the greatest revival in history this is historic time to be alive it's a it's the time the best you know this is a battle of biblical proportions of good and evil and and we we need that different input to get that output when you have all these bad things going out there every day i'm telling you all these things just think of it this way you're out there and all these people are going hey i need hope i need hope in december of 2019 people weren't looking for hope it was merry christmas everybody had improved their physical life here had improved so they're not looking to jesus and they but god's given us grace everybody he has given us grace for such a time as this and if you right now if you don't have courage if you're a pastor or anybody i appear to have courage now to step up and reach out to people that are feeling hopeless you know you're saving your courage for a rainy day when it's pouring outside it is pouring we and and i want to tell the last thing i'm going to say is i'll hear it from people all the time i did you know i prayed and my prayers weren't answered my prayers weren't answered they were going i prayed donald trump would be would have won or i prayed that this would have happened he'd have been put back in or i pray and things keep getting worse well let me tell you something those are reactionary prayers like i used to have those are reactionary prayers where and they might not be god's will well where is god's will everybody god's will is in the word okay so if you stay in the word you can be proactive in prayer and you're gonna see they're all line up and beautifully and when we get through all this we're going to look back into this beautiful place we're getting we're going to have god back in our schools we're going to be once again one nation under god when we get out here we're going to look back and we're gonna say everything had to that we are planting here today ((music playing)) and how we give the lord these seeds they go and they multiply and they become something that we could never make on our own and as that he was speaking today i could see the stories that he was telling and the seeds of hope that were planted throughout his life the seeds of hope that were planted throughout mr mendel lindell's life excuse me and i just i just marvel at the way the lord weaves our stories together and the outcomes that he can make so today he still had to make that choice the choice to pray those prayers the choice to accept jesus into his heart and today we have a choice to make to worship to plant seeds of worship to plant our seeds of hope in jesus and his fertile ground because when you plant yourself in jesus when you put your hope in jesus then he can take what seems like a mess and make it into one of the most beautiful stories i've heard in a long time man hope is alive miracles are real and if you give your mess of a life over to jesus there is nothing that he cannot do do you believe that this morning come on would you stand up and worship with us father we surrender to you today take everything that we have and pour your anointing pour your blessing pour your oil over it we surrender to you today father we love you so much ((music playing)) i put the garment of praise on i let go of shame and receive my inheritance i won't live in the past cause you hold my future your kingdom here last everything is changing now everything is changing now the spirit of the ((music playing)) lord is playing)) oh ((music playing)) ((music playing)) yesterday ((music playing)) ((music playing)) is ((music playing)) ((music playing)) amen amen amen hallelujah you may be seated hallelujah we'll take our text in the book of mark in the fifth chapter for just a little bit today mark chapter number five and today was uh a day and i i nearly forgot i'm glad that my wife reminded me i slipped out with the guys a moment ago and today was the day that i had promised all of our children in the children's ministry that i would go down on father's day and arm wrestle one of the lead workers amen and uh so they took me down there have to admit i was a little bit nervous on the ride down pulled my cuff link off my jacket off rolled up my sleeves and wasn't any competition pow right down to the ground amen 46 years old still got it after all this time and so we had a good time but it was good for the kids to see that and let me tell you something pastoring's not all glitz and glamour and facebook clicks and lights and preaching in front of a whole bunch of people sometimes you just got to get right down where the people are just love people amen and i'm going to tell you something about shepherding that i've learned the last 16 years of pastoring this church real shepherds smell like sheep somebody say amen right there phooey on these celebrities that just come in blow in blow up and blow out never shake hands and hobnob with the people amen and so i want you to know that i love every single one of you in this room and i thank god for the privilege i have every week sundays and wednesdays to stand right on this platform and to proclaim thus saith the lord from this place right here i love you guys i love all of our online family and i tell you if i didn't even pastor this church i'd come to it it's so amazing hallelujah this place is lit i love it let's pray we're going to jump right into mark chapter number five i want to invite you to stand just for a moment out of reverence for the reading of god's word mark chapter five i'm not going to read all of the text but just a few verses of it father i pray that you bless the word of god to our hearts as we read it together i pray that you would be honored in every word that falls from my lips lord thank you for the beautiful beautiful testimony that we've heard just a moment ago thank you for the privilege of worship thank you for the opportunity that we have to gather thank you for a courageous church that never did back down and never will back down to the nonsense lord thank you for everyone in house for everyone online for everyone on the campus for all of those many many children down there in that building father to god be the glory great things you have and are doing so bless the word of god to our hearts and we're going to thank you for it in jesus name and all of god's people said remain standing for reading of the word of god mark chapter 5 verse 21 and when jesus was passed over again by ship under the other side much people gathered unto him and he was nigh under the sea and behold there come one of the rulers of the synagogue jerius by name and when he saw him he fell at his feet and he besought him greatly saying my little daughter lieth at the point of death i pray thee come and lay thy hands on her that she may be healed and she shall live and jesus went with him and much people followed him and thronged him and using this and some other of this text i want to preach just for a few moments on father's day on this subject the power of a desperate daddy the power of a desperate daddy you may be seated here in the context of mark chapter number five you have three consecutive miracles that are all going on at the same time and within the context of this narrative jesus proves himself to be sovereign to be complete and to be authoritative over three things over demons over death and over disease and how many of you know ladies and gentlemen that jesus to this very day still has authority over demons over death and over disease nothing has changed in 2000 years because there is still power power wonder working power in the name and the blood of the lord jesus christ so when you get to mark chapter five you have three things happening so fast that you can get lost in the narrative if you don't slay slow down and kind of pay attention to what's happening so there's a man that's a ruler in the synagogue by the name of jerius jerrius comes running up to the lord jesus he's a religious man he's a very well to do rich man and you have to understand in the story that if he's a ruler in the synagogue there is no doubt in my mind he had seen jesus perform miracles he had heard jesus preach before never a man spake like this man spake and when his daughter got sick he knew exactly where to go and he knew exactly who to ask i find that interesting he didn't go back to the synagogue and ask one of his religious buddies he didn't go back and ask somebody that knew a lot about the law but nothing about the gospel he didn't go back and just talk to one of his high school friends he knew exactly where he needed to go because never a man spake like this man spake and jerrius knew that jesus was a last-ditch effort for his dying daughter and here's what you better know if you're a parent or grandparent stick your hand high in the air just for a moment all right that is most of us in the room let me tell you something there is nothing that you would not do come hell or high water you would go bear hunting with a switch you would go to the gates of hell with a squirt pistol to make sure one of your kids got rescued to make sure one of your kids got saved to make sure one of your kids got out of active addiction and here's a father that said you know what i don't care about my money i don't care about my religious status i don't care what people think about me denominationally my kid is sick my daughter's gonna die and i'm here to tell you there's a dangerous person in this text and that's a desperate daddy because when daddies finally get right with god and men finally get desperate and husbands finally get desperate i'm telling you god will move mountains in a family like that when a daddy will stand up put on his big boy britches and be the father that god has called him to be can i get a witness in this house ((applause)) as brother lindell said i'm telling you one of the great curses in america is fatherless children all over this nation and if you don't think that is one of the biggest problems in this nation you are not paying attention and here's a man that said enough is enough only one person can help my daughter and the bible says that this man runs to jesus look please at verse 22 and behold there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue jerius by name and when he saw him that's jesus he jerius fell at jesus's feet and he besought him greatly you'll notice this was not a small casual whisper this wasn't a bit of shyness and timidity this man was desperate as he could be and when he saw him he saw him greatly saying my little daughter lieth at the point of death i pray thee come and lay thy hands on her now my question is how did he know this was going to work because can i remind you that most of the ministry that jesus did mark says was from synagogue to synagogue to synagogue and i am sure that synagogues then like churches now were houses not just of worship but of gossip and i'm sure the word began to rapidly spread did you see what this man did he cast out a devil did you see what this man did he healed a man that had a lame hand on the sabbath day did you hear what this man said he's the fulfillment of the fullness of the godhead bodily did you watch what this man did did you hear him when he opened isaiah chapter 61 and said today this prophecy is fulfilled in your ears and so from synagogue to synagogue the word began to spread and this ruler of the synagogue falls down and says look you've done this before you can do it again lay your hands on my daughter into verse 23 that she may be healed and shall live this man was affirmative in his faith he knew this was going to happen he knew that if jesus was who he said he was there's no way he would ever be a respecter of persons and might i throw in the jake breaks and stop and say right here i'm glad we still serve a god that's not a respecter of persons as he said it doesn't matter how many forks you eat with i don't care if you're tall short fat skinny hairy head of the ball if you are baptist episcopalian methodist or presbyterian it doesn't matter i'm glad the ground is level at the foot of the cross ladies and gentlemen there are no big eyes and little use it doesn't matter if you're gentile or jew in church out of church addict non-addict single widowed married divorced i'm glad that jesus will take each and every last one of us and the bible says that when you come to jesus he will in no wise cast you out that simply means you may change your mind but god's never going to change his i'm glad for the love of the savior the lord jesus and he said if you would just lay hands on my daughter she would be healed but watch this verse 24 and jesus went with him look at me that is unusual for jesus to do that nine times out of ten and we're gonna see why did it nine times out of 10 jesus would simply say something like this well if you just believe she'll be healed she'll be resurrected whatever the case may be but jesus actually went with this man and it's interesting in the story that he does this because what happens next is just as miraculous as what's going to happen at the end of this story now what happens next is something that we know well we're not going to read through it and preach through it but there is a woman that for 12 years has an issue of blood she has a hemorrhaging she has a bloodletting situation the only way the holy spirit ever introduces her in the text is that she was a woman with the issue which would show me that the issue after 12 years became the sole identity of who she was and she would look in the mirror like some of you and not even know who she was anymore so while jesus get this there's the context this is beautiful while jesus is walking with jarius to go to his house to keep his daughter from dying a woman with the issue of blood jumps in the context from verse 25 all the way down through verse 34 and nothing else is even said about jarius now let's just be real bootleg honest about something if this were me and this were one of my six crazy kids no matter how crazy they are i would have been a little bit nervous i would have had the anxious jitters if you will because jesus stopped a journey to a man's house whose daughter was going to die the text explicitly says that you get there or she's going to die jesus stopped going to the man's house and took almost 10 verses to heal an unnamed woman whose name to this day we still don't even know you can imagine jericho's probably thinking come on jesus you got to go you got to go jesus my daughter's going to die you gotta do something right now this woman can wait later on this woman's issue she's had it for 12 years she can have it for 12 more minutes you got to get to the house and we would all be that way right don't put your lips out all of us would feel like that my daughter's going to die my daughter's going to die you got to get there come on quick quick quick come on jesus you got to go leave this woman alone but you know what's beautiful about the ministry of jesus god is so big he is so holy he is so without respect of persons that on his way to bless you in your need he's still big enough and god enough to stop off somewhere else and bless somebody in their need and don't you ever think that you've cornered the market on the sovereignty of god because he's big enough to bless this church he's big enough to bless the next church and i used to say all the time what would we do if we pray for revival but god sends it to the pastor down the road the body of christ better learn to come together he's not a baptist god he's not a pentecostal god he's not just a tongue speaking god he's not just the god that you grew up with he's the god of the universe he can bless everybody simultaneously because that's what makes him god and when he's stopping off to bless you he can quit and bless somebody else if he wants to and by the way he ain't got to ask your permission and he doesn't need a vote of confidence notice he didn't say nigeria i'm going to stop here if that would be entirely okay with you he didn't care if he's okay and by the way you want to know something bold jesus let the girl die i didn't say he let her fever get worse jesus let this little girl die because i'll tell you something everyone in this tent that's walked with god for five days five minutes or 55 years knows the principle that's about to come out of my mouth and that is this sometimes god then his grace in his love and in his mercy will allow something to die in your life so that later on he can resurrect it and he'll be the one that gets all the honor and all the glory and all the praise because when it got done jerius didn't say to peter james and john be the glory they said to god be the glory great things he hath done and sometimes jesus will let a dream die he'll let a relationship die sometimes he'll allow people to walk out of your life that you thought were going to be in your life for time and for eternity sometimes things won't go the way that you thought but he's just gonna let it die so later on in the text he can come back and say come back to life in jesus name that's just a side note and so he's messing with this girl for a while while jarius is freaking out now let's pick up the story in verse 35 we'll rock on while he yet spake this jesus talking to this girl there came one from the ruler of the synagogue's house a certain man which said notice this thy daughter is dead why trouble is thou the master any further so one of the servants showed up and said we got bad news for you jerius jesus took so long messing with this woman with the issue of blood that your daughter is dead d-e-a-d literally physically clinically dead she didn't swoon she didn't pass out she's not just sick she ain't half dead this girl is dead she is gone and science and doctors in medicine can't help her she's dead notice jesus didn't stop on his tracks and say oh my goodness what in the wild world am i going to do he knew exactly what he was going to do when he let her die to begin with he knew what he was going to do and so this guy runs up and slaps jarius on the back and says i hate to be the bearer of bad news sir but you don't need to trouble this man he don't need to come to the house he ain't got to speak the word your daughter is dead notice how plain he was i remember some years ago when i worked for the metro police department here as a volunteer chaplain one of the things they told us in our chaplaincy training and i got out of it because there's just too much they said you cannot be pastoral in the way that you tell people their family members are dead that's hard for a guy that's a pastor i said what do you mean they said no you don't get to say they passed they had an accident there's been a tragedy they said you knock on the door with a vest and a badge they come to the door they're already got stomach and knots and you've got to look at them and say your son your daughter your husband your wife is dead you have to be very direct and that was the hardest thing for me to do well this guy showed up real direct he's like leave jesus alone your daughter's dead there's no hope for her there's no more hope for her but watch what happens next and as soon as jesus verse 36 heard the word notice he wasn't deaf to it he wasn't ignorant of it as soon as jesus heard the word that was spoken he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue i love this phrase it's actually right here on my left arm be not afraid only believe do you know why you don't believe because you've got a spirit of fear and god's not given you the spirit of fear but of love power and a sound mind and jesus said be not afraid don't you worry about what's going to come against you don't you worry about the fact that i just said your daughter is dead oh no be not afraid only believe be not afraid only believe shout that with me church be not afraid only believe say it again be not afraid only believe now let me just stop and say this as a side note i know what the text means i get the understanding of the interpretation but by way of application let me tell you i don't care how many food shortages there are in the united states of america be not afraid only believe i don't care if gas prices go to 22 a gallon be not afraid only believe when they get on tv with this bunch of monkey pox nonsense and they try to stop the midterms be not afraid only believe sleepy joe biden can't even stay upright on his bicycle be not afraid only believe just believe yes we know what was stolen yes we know what was taken from us but i'm not gonna chew my fingernails to the quick i ain't got basketball-sized ulcers and it's not what my wife and i talk about at night you know why i ain't afraid of what is to come be not afraid only believe god's gonna turn it all around you say you have no idea what my marriage is facing be not afraid only believe you say i got a prodigal son or daughter i got somebody strung out on crack somebody messed up on methamphetamines hey be not afraid only believe jesus said look quit being fearful i want you to believe what's about to take place before it ever takes place that's faith you see faith is not looking back in hindsight and recognizing god did what he said faith is looking forward to something prophetically that you rejoice in and it's not even transpired yet as a matter of fact it looks like there's no way it's ever going to happen and jesus said don't you be afraid don't you be afraid you just believe for what is to come so i just give you that by way of application because i don't care what is to come but we got some stuff to come cause jesus said in the last days it ain't gonna get better it's gonna get worse but you be not afraid you just believe verse 37 and he suffered no man i love this to follow him watch this except save peter and james and john the brother of james i notice he took those three with him everywhere he went he didn't always have the twelve which one was a devil and didn't take jesus by surprise sometimes he would take everybody aside and just take peter james and john which would tell me legitimately here's something you need to understand about life that's not what i'm going to preach on but here's a good principle in life you be careful that your circle's not too big even jesus had multitudes but he never shared his life with the multitudes he only shared randomly things with the 12 but even of the 12 he only really hung out with three of them when it was important be careful about your circle of influence because everybody has a judas at the table everybody has a judas at the table but nonetheless that's a whole other message for a whole of the time verse 38 and he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue notice that's the third time theologically this man's called that he had a lot to lose by doing this he didn't call the scribes the sadducees and the pharisees he called on jesus can i remind you who hated jesus the scribes the pharisees and the sadducees they hated him and they killed him eventually by the way not because of what he did because of what he said because of what he said because he was an upset to the religious and the political establishment at the same time they even came to him one day and they said well you know herod's gonna kill you and herod doesn't like all these miracles that you're performing he thinks you're the resurrected john the baptist what do you have to say about that they put a mic in front of him he said you go tell that fox that today i cast out devils and tomorrow i cast out devils and the third day i'm to do cures and i'm going to keep on keeping on and jesus said i ain't given up and i ain't giving in for this nonsense and so now he puts them all out of the room and this leader of the synagogue says you've got help and he seeth the tumult sees this great chaos that's happening into verse 38 and them that wept and wailed greatly so by the time this guy gets back home i mean the funeral's done broke out the wake is already in full blown session people wailing people crying snotting for lailing their arms around she's dead she's dead couldn't anybody do something is there a doctor in the house everybody was flipping out as you could well imagine and this guy's heart is broken this is his daughter his daughter but then notice and when he verse 39 was come in he said unto them why make ye this a do that's an interesting king james word i mean why are you making such a fuss about this whole deal i got to remind you that's kind of an odd question at a funeral he's like what y'all crying about didn't i tell you don't be afraid only believe you see sometimes the faith that god requires is so radical you'll look ridiculous to everybody around you but you better be willing to look ridiculous if you expect god to use you if you're trying to fit in with everybody else you're not going to be used very well you've got to be willing to stand out for the glory of god and so here it's very plain he said why are you crying why are you weeping and then he makes this can i use the phrase audacious out of the box crazy statement he says the damsel is not dead but sleepeth now look he wasn't ignorant to the context of what just happened he wasn't saying this because he didn't have anything better to do you know politicians got a phrase called gobbledygook right filibuster lang just talk talk talk you ain't got to be saying nothing just talk talk talk talk talk talk right and if you want to see people just talk talk talk talk and say nothing watch fox news and cnn they just talk talk talk talk talk and they don't say jack spratt right well jesus wasn't just doing a cnn fox news interview jesus said this girl ain't even dead she's just asleep and everybody's like this guy this guy has lost his mind check this out verse 40. and they laughed him to scorn they laughed so hard at jesus that they scorned him who do you think you are sir walking up in this house this a funeral service if you can't tell sir you're a little bit late to the party stopping off helping unnamed bloodletting woman who do you think you'll walk up in here say she's not dead she's just asleep i can't even imagine what the dad's thinking about this time or the mom who's just now about to pop into context and they like who do you think you are and sometimes we gotta be honest when we really step out in bold audacious faith to do whatever it is that we know god's called us to do because some of you need to get right with god because you let somebody talk you out of what the holy ghost already talked you into and you know it and sometimes the people around us will scorn us for our faith you mean to tell me you're going to worship god no matter if the whole bottom falls out yup because he's still good even when things aren't good you're going to still worship god when something happens in your life yep because god's still good even when things in my life are not going so hot you see god's not sitting up in heaven word about the economic situation inflation don't bother god god's never looked at gabriel and said you know what i think it's about time we'll have to pave the streets of gold with asphalt we about to go broke up in here oh no he's as much god today as he has ever been or ever will be ladies and gentlemen and that's why he could say she's not dead she's just asleep and they laughed in the scorn but i love what happens next but when he jesus had put them all out he kicked them all out of the room when he put them all out he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel got mom and dad and them that were with him peter james john and he entereth into where the damsel was lying now i got to say this before we get to the miracle we're done it's interesting what he did to the skeptics because i'm gonna tell you something god will never do a miracle for a skeptic comes by hearing hearing by the word of god and hebrews 11 6 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for it is the evidence of things not seen and by faith without that it's impossible to please god not just improbable not just impractical no no it is impossible to please god without faith that's what the bible says you're saved by faith you live by faith so jesus kicks everybody out of the room before he does the miracle and here's why this is beautiful don't ever forget this i have learned in just 46 years of living and yet 30 years of preaching the gospel because most of you know i was saved in a children's home when i was 16. in 10 or so years of traveling all over america as an evangelist before we started this church and now almost 16 years of pastoring this beautiful church and still traveling all over america here's what i've learned the biggest miracles that god will ever do in your life will be after he dismisses everybody from the room you see what i'm doing right now is not growing what i'm doing right now is a result of my growing i don't grow with a microphone in my hand and lights on me i don't grow in a full tent with a big live stream i grow when the cameras are off when the mic goes silent when my heart's broken in the wee hours of the night when we're praying when we're fasting when we're longing before the lord but seek ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you and if you will pray in secret thy father that sees you in secret shall reward you openly and the biggest things that god will ever do in your life in your marriage in your business in your family and anything that you have he will first dismiss the other people and make sure that you understand that when god works in your life it will be in solitude that's where we grow that's where we grow and he put them all out it's verse 41 the miracle begins he took the damsel by the hand then he said unto her teletha kumai which is being interpreted damsel made is the word i say unto thee arise that must have been one of the most unbelievable moments that these people had ever witnessed he walks into the room of a dead girl kicks everybody out but peter james john himself and the mom and dad and he says let me show you what the power of god can do and he walks over and lays hands on and he says i say unto thee to lethal my damsel made arise let me tell you something had jesus not kicked the right or shall i say wrong people out of the room that have been some snickers in that situation that have been like i guarantee you mama was not snickering i guarantee you daddy was not tweeting about his lack of belief peter james and john had already seen some unbelievable things they weren't standing there with their arms folded like yeah i bet this ain't gonna work this be like that other time oh no they knew all them other times it worked and sometimes you got to make sure you got the right people with you in the room because the wrong people will talk you out and put doubt in you as to what you know god almighty is about to do so that's just a little word from your preacher and so he says i want you to arise i love this verse 42 and straightway say straightway that means immediately without hesitation without permission nobody voted about it it was johnny on the spot and straightway boom right out of the gate the damsel arose and walked can you imagine what that must have been like 10 minutes earlier by snotting crying wailing weeping going crazy wearing all black what are we going to do what we going to do jesus walks in kicks people out says i say unto you get up and she gets up and she's like walking around the room ((applause)) everybody's eyeballs bugged out of their head like two jimmy dean sausage patties they're like well i'll be what and straightway the damsel arose and walked for she was of the age of 12 years i find that interesting don't have time to develop it but in the exact same context that a woman was dying with an issue of blood for how many years 12 years 12 years you have a woman that is dying of this horrendous hemorrhaging situation and in the same context after he heals this woman that is desperately dying off the bible says that he now resurrects a young lady and both luke and mark are explicit to tell us that she was about the age of 12. theologically pastorally and intellectually i've not quite connected the dots we know it's not the mama because obviously the mama's in the context or else i would believe that but there has to be some spiritual paradigm of a connection because words in the bible mean something and the only thing i can think at the moment just coming off half cocked and we'll keep rolling is this god's power is so unbelievably put on display for the world to see that when one generation is hemorrhaging and dying and getting weak and the church is getting anemic and the pastors are getting powerless when one generation for years and years and years is losing strength and dying god has the same power to put new life in the younger generation and raise them up because i'm going to tell you something if we don't cast out devils our children will if we don't preach the gospel our children will if we don't baptize converts our children will if we don't see miracles signs and wonders then get out the way because our children will do what we refuse to do and when one generation is hemorrhaging and dying god's speaking new life into the next generation and you better know something the devil ain't got all of them the devil ain't got all of them there's a resurrection power in this generation that's rising up because this generation is tired of fake and phony they're sick of skinny jeans fog machines and big old screens they want somebody to stand up and say this is what the bible says and this generation is going to be resurrected and i believe revival is here and i believe it's the young people that are going to usher in the power of the kingdom of god and when one generation's dying god's speaking new life into the next one he speaks new life into the next one that's a whole other message we got some preachers in the house y'all can steal that and use it sometime for she was of the age of 12 verse 42 we're about done well we ain't done i'm just gonna stop and they were astonished with great astonishment can i say something i'm going to i wasn't asking permission ((music playing)) i think one of the great problems in the american church other than the fact that it's too american and not enough church is we're not blown away by the presence of god anymore anybody can draw a crowd people's like oh my goodness man y'all went from 350 people to this big old huge giant tent in just a matter of two years baptized all these converts anybody can draw a crowd ask jim jones anybody can draw a crowd okay anybody can inflate the fake votes anybody can make you think something that's not really there but when's the last time and i pray that our church can be a continual exception to this rule when's the last time you went to church and you were astonished about the life transforming power of the gospel you know what i love about this church especially our sunday evening services that we only started 16 weeks ago because of mass deliverance and if you've never been to mass deliverance you ought to be here because we still believe there's power in the name of jesus to destroy dark strongholds in your life but you know what amazes me astonishes me we don't have any music now i love the music we have here don't get me wrong we got a great team but in the sunday evening services we don't live streaming because we understand that people lose their dignity when you start calling addictions and demons out of people but we don't have any music we don't hype anybody up it's hot as blazes we don't even run the fans on sunday evening we want you to hear what's happening but you know amazes me my wife and i get up here with our dual microphones and we start praying we start calling forth certain spirits people start standing renouncing things forgiving people in their past that harm them even when they don't want to forgive them that's the hardest thing you know what happens every single time hundreds of people get released hundreds of people get freedom people start manifesting things start happening bondage and chains start falling off of people you know why because you don't have to hype it up when it's real and i want to walk out of church and be like man i am blown away by what god is doing and we can't put back in the box what we've taken out we can't unsee and unhear what we've seen and what we've heard and at the end of the day i do not want to go back to a business as usual congregation of people that just check a box i went to church for an hour of course you come here you come longer than an hour amen but nonetheless notice as he brings it to a landing strip these people were astonished they were blown away they were amazed and he charged them straightly verse 43 that no man should know it not because what he did wasn't real but because he knew that he was going to intensify his fame and he didn't come to be famous he came to seeking to say that which was lost and there was a moment that he knew he had to die and he did not want the devil or anybody else interjecting and interrupting that moment and he charged them straightly that they should not know it and he commanded that something should be given her to eat he said i want you going i want you to cook this girl something it's time to nourish her she only been dead for a little bit she's only been dead for a few minutes maybe a few hours we don't know they had time to weep and whale and have a snot fest he said she's alive now i want you to give her something to eat she needs to grow she needs to get mature she needs to get some substance and can i say this do not think that you can come to church one day a week and continue to grow i'm here to get in the word of god like this man said you better get in the bible you better fast you better pray you better get some nourishment you got to get the holy spirit to bake you up some bread so you can grow in grace and the knowledge of our lord and savior jesus christ but i find it interesting that the common denominator in both this and the luke account which have a few differences but not discrepancies just an eyewitness difference in both accounts yes jesus was the common denominator that healed this young lady and brought her back from the dead but in both accounts all of it whittled down to one thing the desperation of her father he didn't care what people thought he didn't care what the newspaper said he didn't care what their jerusalem edition of social media had to say this man broke ranks with all of his friends religiously politically he commits financial suicide as it were he turned on everybody because nobody liked jesus at least the religious people and they still don't like him to this day because jesus exposes religion for what it is and this man was willing to be so desperate so broken so bereaved over the situation of his daughter that he put everything on the line and i'm telling you there is power when a daddy gets desperate on mother's day we preached on when mamas fight devils but if every father in this room and i know some of you in broken homes divorce i get it god knows i get it but i'm just going to say this i know it's been rah-rah bish kumbh it's been exciting but let's settle in for a minute before we pray some of you men need revival in your home and you better quit praying for god to send it to your wife and through your kids because he ain't going to you're the spiritual priest of your home the bible even says if a woman will learn anything let her ask her husband at home you know what that means bucko that means you and i are called to personally disciple our wives in the bible now that's a big responsibility talk about some big boy britches get me in come to me on time well let me tell you about my wife she just ain't very spiritual that is not a problem with her that's indicative of you and your lack of leadership in your house right i know that's a hard pill to swallow i get it i'm a married dude too right i get it some of you husbands need to get desperate for your marriage you know it's crazy i can fly all over the world we're awakened conference whatever it may be pray with everybody pray here my wife and i get up pray i pray in front of 10 000 people never mince my words one time you can come to my office i can pray with people for hours have deliverance service cast out devils and pray for people for hours but let's be honest and you know where i'm going to the punch line you know the hardest person and people to pray with and for my wife and kids don't stare at the floor any time to pray i'm telling the truth you ever notice that guys the hardest people to minister to are the people that know you best and that's why it's hard to minister to them i ain't no perfect husband i paused hopefully got an amen on that but how's this one ain't no perfect daddy thank you thank you kids god bless you i see that here but i'm gonna tell you something i've had my share of stuff in life right sometimes life's a crap fest and let's just be honest about it but you know when i get up and i say things like i adore my wife i serve my wife in every way possible if my wife i know don juan suave your husband's i'm just making a point to you me and i'm preaching to me and you women just relax a minute if my wife woke up at three o'clock this coming morning i mean three in the morning out of a dead sleep and said oh my goodness my stomach's killing me if i gave her a microphone i guarantee you right now she would tell you what the next words out of my mouth would be can we run down the street and get you something i just heard her say that's truth sometimes i get a friend i think you all think i'm just amping you up rah-rah bish kumbh three cheers the pastor's such a great husband no i'm pretty lousy husband sometimes not that part honey but you know why i get up say things like this because look my kids know i'm the same when i got this microphone and when i'm at waffle house my wife knows i try to be the real deal when i'm getting you all amped up or when we're just sitting in cracker barrel and people get up and walk out because there's the lock family we can't be contaminated by them trumpians we get that all the time and what i'm saying is i've noticed that through my desperation with the lord my family has come alongside of me in ways that i never could have imagined before my marriage is better my marriage is different my kids are better not perfect my kids are different you know why not because shall i say they're just working so hard because they're the preachers kids no they're kids like everybody else they make dumb choices just like yours amen but it's because as a father i'm desperately seeking god for my marriage i'm desperately seeking god for my kids we're already starting to desperately seek god for the grandkids that kiki won't give us praise being to god amen we've got like five dogs around the house praise god but at the end of the day what i'm saying is some of you men need to use father's day as a chance to get on your face and say god i will be a better husband i will be a better father i will be a better grandfather i'm not just going to waste my life twitter around playing on a you know some kind of game all my life just kind of twiddling thumbs being on facebook twitter listen we need some men of god to put on our big boy britches and stand up and say enough's enough we're going to take this nation back we're going to take our churches back we're going to take our marriages back some of y'all need to get down to these public schools get down to these public libraries and start making a fuss that these drag queens are taking away it's time that men be men hey we got enough women serving in the church we need some men to serve in the church we need some men of god to stand up and take over and say enough's enough we want to see revival in this house and it's times for daddies to get desperate if you believe you get on your feet and shout amen in this house amen i believe that hallelujah you know i'm gonna backtrack just for a second i was thinking about brother mike's testimony that he had earlier and how true it is that we're living in a time more so now than what i can ever remember that people are so desperate for hope people desperate to come out of addiction father's desperate to really lead their families and they don't really know how but i want to encourage you this morning that no matter where you are whether you're still living in active addiction there's hope for you every one of us are level at the foot of the cross the same blood that washed my sins white as snow is the same blood that washes your sins white as snow the same jesus that saved me is the same jesus that can save you the same god that leads us beside still waters every single day his word is the lamp unto my feet the same way that it's the lamp unto your feet but i realized something today in the message why most of us don't walk out our faith on a daily basis why it's so hard for us in our homes in our communities to be able to stand up and say in our homes in our communities thus saith the lord and this is the way that it's going to be is because somewhere along the way especially in our generation of people we've lost faith in god we've lost our faith to remember that he is the same god yesterday today and forever and so today as we go into a time of prayer i want us to go in with a humble heart saying god would you increase our faith today that we may know the fullness of who you are god would you help us by your spirit would you strengthen us in the inner man that we could believe that you are who you say that you are because no matter where you are in life and no matter the struggle that you face whether you're in addiction right now feeling as if there is no hope for you there is hope for you i was rescued out of a ditch after a 15-year pill addiction there is hope for you in the lord jesus christ whether your child is wayward and you think that there is no way that they will ever come back home there is hope for your children if your marriage is broken there is restoration in the lord if your finances are a mess he is jehovah joha your provider he has everything that you could ever need in every situation at every moment of your life and today may we go and approach the throne room of grace in our time of need that we would receive mercy there and say jesus i believe but help my unbelief lord would you help me believe you more for my family lord would you help me believe you more for my children lord help me believe you more for my job lord help me believe you more that this addiction can be gone lord help me lord would you just help me today so as we enter in today let's go in with a spirit of humility a mind that is in the lord jesus father we come to you in the name that is above every name the name of the lord jesus and god today i pray that you would by your spirit strengthen us in the inner man god that you would increase our faith lord lord that we know that we can believe you no matter what lord i think about abraham and god in hebrews it said that he had so much faith in you that when he took isaac up that mountain that he believed that you would raise his son from the dead for his sacrifice lord give us a faith like that god i think about rahab when she hid those spas lord give us faith like rahab god i think of the faith of the parents of moses because they saw that he was a proper child so they weren't scared of the king and they hit him away for three months in the bushes lord i think about moses when he came up against the red sea god your word says that he forsook egypt lord he he refused to be called the son of pharaoh's daughter and he forsook egypt god and lord he came up to the red sea and you parted the red sea for him god and in hebrews it said that it was because of his faith god it said in the book of hebrews that the mouth of the lion was shut because of the faith of daniel lord increase our faith god that we believe that no matter what we face in life that through faith the mouth of the lion must be shut that through faith god we can walk through on dry ground that through faith today father we could believe you that you are the god of resurrection and you are resurrecting an entire generation of children right now and no matter what the enemy has thrown at us god we can stand on the authority of your word and we can say wherefore be encompassed about with such great a cloud of witness god that we can look unto jesus the author and finisher of our faith now unto him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think god you are able lord it said that sarah conceived seed past age because of her faith she had judged you promised the faithful who had promised her god lord you are a faithful god the faithful and true witness the rock on which we stand lord when everything around us makes no sense at all god you are faithful you are holy and you are righteous your word says that you cannot lie you cannot lie and lord we can believe the promise that is in your word god we can believe the promise that the men of our homes will stand up god they will serve you lord it says in second peter that the wives are to win their husbands by their conversations by the way that they live their lifestyle god would you give us humility as wives lord to give grace to our husbands to lead our homes to be the men of god that you have called them to be lord in such a time that they really they've been lied to for so long this culture this society has lied to us for so long lord give us as wives the humility and the grace to allow our husbands to grow in you to seek you to trust in them that they are being led by the spirit of the lord and lord we thank you god we thank you that there truly is freedom where you are that he that dwells in the secret place of the almighty shall abide in the shadows lord lord we can abide in your shadows because lord it is true that where the spirit of the lord is there is freedom and lord there is freedom in this house god there is freedom here lord freedom for strongholds to be broken for addictions to flee for cancer to be healed for what is dead to be resurrected lord we walk in freedom the freedom of the lord jesus christ because who the son sets free is free indeed lord may we walk ahead in this time lord may we run this race with endurance knowing that we are free in you thank you for the freedom in your name for the power of your name yes lord we thank you that you are a miracle-working god that
