 focus what is up welcome back to the fcy podcast we are so happy that you're tuned in today my name is Skyler I'm on our FC team and I'm surrounded guys by the FC Pastor Trifecta they have their little Marvel thing they do it's amazing we got Pastor Aaron here we got Pastor Jordan and we got Pastor Jason so we're going to have so much fun we're continuing in our summer house series which we hope you've been loving be sure to share it with all your ya fam even if they're not y go ahead and send it cuz it will be such a blessing but before we hop into today's topic we want to honor our amazing church Free Chapel our amazing pastors Pastor Jensen and Miss Sharice we love you guys thank you for empowering the young adults of our church and I think that it's time to get into this topic Let's do let's get into it let's do it so today we're talking about building your own brand and really the idea of this came from I was preaching a message at young adults and uh I was I was looking at the story of like Adam and Eve and when Eve eats the fruit yeah and like I was just looking at it it was just a random question but the devil says like he's like you can become like God and if you go back to the original language he says you can become Elohim so you can actually become your own God right and and what hit me I was like man how tall was the tree it's a random question right where I was like I was like I don't know if anybody else is asking this question but I think it matters because I think the the tree wasn't like a small Bush I don't think it was like low hanging I think it was actually something that she climbed I think it was something that she had to elevate ourselves to get and I think in our culture today I think everybody's trying to build their own brand every body's trying to self-promote and I just want to have a conversation and a topic uh kind of around that uh so yeah let's let's let's illustration was good straight let the Lord bless you and keep you make his face shine Ono that's good leave yeah not me it's him yeah yeah but I I I think one of the questions I have is self-promotion wrong you know like a lot of people have Instagram Tik Tok and everything and everybody's building a brand like is that something that's wrong uh so yeah let's just let's just grab in it yeah I immediately think we were talking about this Jordan Mills made a great Point shout out Jordan Mills he I maybe he can give a away in the chat when you guys see him but any I think of this idea when it comes to self- promotion is such a lack of trust with God and it's like again we just hop straight into it so we're not we're just getting into it but it's like we don't trust what God has so we want to just control things and do what we have for ourselves because with God we're not quite sure what's going to happen but at least in this plan that I have I can make it happen I can do it I can take myself to this level I can do all these things but I think that's where we're kind of at as a at least a young adult generation is like I want my future to look this way I don't want to leave it in the hands of anybody else to make my future look a certain way I want to make myself this and again God's not in that equation at all that's fully Our Own Strength that's fully our own plan but I think that's where we're at speaking of lack piggybacking I think a lack of value yeah I think a lot of times we don't know our value in Christ so we're overcompensating because we don't see ourselves the way God see us so we feel like we have to put on this image and this perception and look see me see me look at me value me look at all the crazy stuff I'm doing look at this stuff look look look I'm this I'm that not knowing that that stuff doesn't bring us value and that stuff doesn't make God love us more or less because yet when we were Sinners he still loved us yeah but when you know your value you're not working for love you're working from love that's value and where you get your identity from you know I think like the only only person that can shape your identity is the person who created you and I think we look at everything else our our self value our self-worth our accomplishments and maybe even our failures and that's how we Define ourselves sometimes and that's not that's not the truth the only person that can Define us um and our identity is is Christ yeah and I feel like with young adults we always feel like we have something to prove Pro cuz in American culture it's like you got to do this and you got to accomplish this you're 25 and you're not a CEO you're failing and it's like you're not married yeah and I think it's one of those things where we always feel like we have something to prove and I remember like looking at the story of zakus I never saw this before but like the Bible says that he's short right and I was just shout out to the put it in the chat um yeah comment down below U but it was interesting I'm like it's so interesting that he put that they put that God put that in the Bible he put short for zakus in the Bible and it's like well because he had to climb the tree to get there but what's interesting to me is like I never thought about like why would he want to become a tax collector we've all grown up in high school we've all gone to Junior High kids are brutal and if you don't think people are brutal go look at some comments on Instagram bro like people are brutal so he probably got made fun of he probably got proded so for him he might have done this became a tax collector to get back at the Jews because it's like well you did this and you said this about me so I got something to prove in this world and and I think we have a culture right now that has that like you said the identity the find like we we are trying to prove something like to the world can you give us something practical like is is something selft talk that you do uh is it prayer or what's something practical that you guys do personally uh to kind of help with like not trying to promote yourself like what are youall do I think it's the heart posture cuz I'm sorry I you were talking and the Holy Spirit just downloaded and did the whole comparison of like look at you know you talked about Eve climbing the tree she was climbing something God in context wasn't giving her wow where zakus was climbing to actually get to God that's great so like it's the heart posture of our word climbing to get something that God hasn't sort of blessed us with or for us it's not a part of his plan or purpose but we're doing it because we got to have it it's going to make us feel this way it's our Identity or we're climbing to get a better view so we can see him because we know if we can just touch the him of His Garment man our life will change forever I think just our heart posture of the why we're seeking God and that makes me think of if we promote ourselves we have to sustain ourselves so if I'm you know climbing this ladder to be the next whoever Sarah then Sarah hey the next whoever Sarah Jake Joyce Maya whoever um but if I climb this ladder and am trying to be this and God's not in it I don't I don't even want to think about the amount of effort and time wasted and time spent and battles that could have been avoided and then here's the thing wherever we go we need the Lord's Grace to really make any kind of impact anyway so if I'm somewhere without the covering of the Lord there's no Grace there for me and I just do not want to even remotely be in that and I would encourage the young adult watching that maybe they're just impatient with the Lord's process in their life and would say God you've spoken I I believe you've spoken things or even I just am believing for things and it's just taking way longer than I've expected so I'm about to take matters into my own hands but here's the things once you take matters into your own hands they're going to stay in your own hands and when you're exhausted and when you're worn out and when you're burnt out and you're blaming God and you're blaming the church remember whose hands it started in yeah and then we can't be mad at God and then we can't be mad at our mentors for saying well we told you if you would w just let God do it I got a visual I got a visual y'all remember Burger King commercial like the Whopper Whopper but remember they had the little baby hands trying to hold yes when you said taking it in your hand I thought why wouldn't you want God to put in his big hands why you want your little mini hands exactly though exactly I'm so happy that was the imagery you had I did not see see that I didn't see that I did not see that coming either I like that where y thought I was never mind moving on I love that I think I've heard it said this way Grace begins where our ability ends wow and when we're outside of ourselves that's when we want we're depending on the Lord to show up I heard it said this way too like um we have to move with we have God's given us a Grace within the pace and if he's if he's graced you with this don't try to do this and get ahead of God it won't work it'll just disrupt your posture of obedience and also if he's giv you this this pace don't don't do this right waste your time like he's given you Grace so don't outpace him sometimes his Pace looks like this and sometimes it does look like this you got to follow his pace and he has Grace for it but if you get outside of it then it's on you yeah for sure that makes me also think of an analogy not the Whopper analogy but literally while Pastor Jason's talking I'm thinking of being in the car with the Lord and we're in the passenger seat and God's in the driver's seat and we think we know the way to a certain point a certain destination and so God starts going a different route it's like God the other way that I was thinking is much faster it's much more efficient than what it seems like we're wasting time going back road scenic route all this stuff the faster route is the route that I'm not on right now but what we don't know is that God knows there's a wreck on that route and if we went that way we'd waste double the time but instead we're sitting here like God let me take control let me go this way and then we're going to mess around and find out why God was trying to take us a different route anyway I just think really self-promotion the key thing that we just need to do is trust God being on being on the right side of self exactly like not being selfish but selfless but uh John B in his book all of God says that in our selfishness we put the attention on self because we're either self-promoting um self-protecting or self-rewarding it's all about our rewards what we get even down to when we serve it's like what am I going to get for this I've been stacking these chairs know exactly or self protecting it's like I got to guard me I got to guard me and or you know self uh promoting like oh look what I've done and all this stuff but like when we put the focus on Jesus the author um the perfector of our faith man there's beautiful things that he can do when we give it to him and we take it out of our hands because again our little wober hands I'm lit like somebody I had to I had to if anybody send us a picture all right if you have the little hands we want a picture of y'all with the little hands and say And the tagline is in our own way this might be the most unhinged like what is going on I'm this is my favorite episode just want you guys H after that chicken smell good um one thing I love that we've we've talked about is like especially like when it comes to self-promotion is like you're getting the glory you're trying to get all the details but but I think we have to talk about like the reason why we do it is because it is appealing Eve wanted the fruit because it said to her eye it's like that looks good right so we see other people in what they have and we're like man I I want that so can we talked about like you know you touched on comparison a little bit can can y'all talk about like how do y'all navigate comparison how do y'all navigate as well like let's just say for example like you know you're you're called to communicate and speak somebody might not be called to do that but they see you and they see you in your gift and they see you in your grace you're like I want to do that but they're not Grace to do that and helping someone understand that like it's okay if that fruit it's okay if that thing is not for you you know could y'all speak into maybe that a little bit quiet I I I I like comparison when it K it kills contentment yeah anytime comparison when comparison begins contentment ends yeah and that's that can be said about anytime we are in a situation where we're comparing ourselves when we compare ourselves to someone we either leave feeling inferior or Superior neither of them honors god wow and I don't want to be in I don't want to be in a state where I'm not honoring God and when you're comparing it's there's no um destination you're going to get to other than being outside of honoring God yeah in a practical way is like again we talked about knowing your value and your identity but know that we serve a big God that there's room at the table and one practical way to overcome comparison to overcome comparing yourself is to celebrate people we've talked about this cuz I've said this to you guys personally that Pastor Jordan I think you're a great man and a great communicator like you have pushed me and motivated me but your greatness doesn't diminish my great we just two great people Pastor Jason bro the way you spoke that word like even in the context of me leading young adults sort of globally in here in Gainesville I can you know create space for you to communicate because you're great but I'm great too and our greatness doesn't diminish each others and we got to learn to celebrate people in their uniqueness and your in their greatness knowing that God graced us and created us in a unique way but at the end of the day even in our uniqueness in just the basic line of creation he created us and he said we're good wow and when we get that simple re reation that the way God made me in with my beard like my size 15 Sho like whatever it may be your small hands baby that I am good and because I'm good I can celebrate the goodness in others that's very good that makes me think of the simple verse but comparison is a thief of Joy so I think that in an encouraging flip on it like God has joy for us about where we're at so instead of comparing I wish I had this and that ask God to show you the joy in right now like where I'm not waiting on certain promises or certain things to come to pass but things I'm living in right now God show me the joy help me to have joy and it and not to be so Bound in comparison wow wow that's good you know one of the things as you guys were talking was like you know I think like maybe it's I think with Eve's Temptation was that like she wanted to be you know like God in that aspect which means like God didn't put enough in her m and I think that's one of the biggest things I've noticed people they feel like hey God God didn't put enough in me you know and so we feel like God hasn't given us enough but I always use this analogy it's like imagine if I came to you and I gave you a million dollars and I'm like this is yours you didn't have to earn it you did nothing for it like this is yours however I'm going to keep $1 but the rest of it yours yeah what you wouldn't do is go home and think about he didn't give me the dollar I don't have that one you would find a way I'm going go to spend this 99,000 what am I going to invest it in I'm got a Bugatti a G wagon like I'm going to buy a house my mom's going to buy I'm going to do whatever I can to like have focus on that $999,000 but what I won't do is focus on that one the dollar could have bought me a Whopper last Whopper last Whopper joke a last Whopper joke okay if a Whopper was a dollar I'd be so hyped right nowers don't hit like they used to yeah I don't know I oversaturated they overated the market yeah they used to the song the song hits better than the Whopper then I'm done yeah like never mind I was about to we about to have a whole po about bur I'm sorry we talking um but uh but uh segue and past Burger King um but like it's like you're not going to focus on that one thing and I think what we do is we focus on the one thing that God has either told us no or he's told us like hey hold up on that I don't I don't want you to have that U and for me like I always wanted to like you know be that preacher that like you know you watch a pastor Jensen you see Judith Smith and some of the other past I'm like I I want to be like that I want to do that so what comes up in me is I go since I want to do that that means I got to promote myself but I do think there is healthy promotion and I think it's God I think God is the one that we're supposed to promote you know as the Bible says like we must decrease and he must increase so what in your guys's life do do you do to like continually give glory to God and continually to promote the one who actually deserves all the glory yeah for me and again I'm not knocking anybody cuz I've talked about kind of social media on other pods but for me getting rid of social media was me saying God I'm in this for you that I don't because I'm sometimes we can lie to ourselves and we're like no I'm my social media is to give honor to God but you're reposting what somebody reposted that somebody else reposted about you just to repost it again and it's like okay where is that and and again I'm not I don't know where's that fine line between you bringing glory to God but bringing glory to yourself with all the likes and stuff so for me the Practical thing for me to show God that God I'm in this for you was to not do social media that I don't want any Glory I don't want any honor I don't want I I feel I've been on this thing with Joseph I feel like Joseph that oh Joseph you n it was God yeah when I speak a word when God puts something on my heart it was for that time for that place for that Community I lay that thing down and I keep that thing moving because one of the things God showed me when it came to this idea of self-promotion and holding on to things he took me to the story in Exodus with the people of Israel and it was a story we read but the way he gave me the Revelation was so interesting of how when they took the Mana into the next day the Mana would stink but God sort of gave me that sort of Revelation and opportunity that don't make it about you I'm going to give something for a particular service a particular night for a particular whatever it may be podcast I need you when you're done to lay it down yeah exit stage right don't try to put the clips of you on your social media to promote you as though you're promoting me leave it there for that time so that you won't carry it to the next day to where you start stinking you said you said something years ago to me you said don't take a moment and make it a monument no wow or don't take an opportunity and build a Ministry like just because God called you to like maybe do something in a moment speak a word doesn't mean now you've been called to like have a whole uh dot dot dot Ministry like no it was for that moment for that particular thing give glory to God because as Paul says he goes I plant Apollo's water but God gives the increase sometimes we're just planting or we're just watering but it's not unto us to do anything because God is the one yeah doing all the heavy lifting heavy pulling heavy whatever it may be with his big hands not our little Whopper hands now little Whopper hands I I have another fall off question with that too because like because it's okay it's okay y That's this is the best episode ever BR in we should have brought him we should have brought him in but theit this is was funny though he opened the door and he said ah he didn't close the door but he was like what's going on this is funny for y all tuning in we just have fun y it was a FedEx it was a FedEx man he was bringing a word he was bringing a word we can edit this post figur this would get edited out I say keep it it's got to be a part of the pot it has to be real life yeah real life ya moments I forgot was about you had a question you're going to ask yes yeah I don't know Lord help him remember the question come on FedEx man help bro tag I'm it yeah well even like you know you guys are talking about like you know the self-promotion like God promotion and stuff to me like you know when I had social media originally for me it was like well how many views did I get on it how many people commented on it how many people did this on it and so I was like looking for man's attention on me like this is what success looks like if I have this many people view this and I remember like I had a post that like did like a th000 views and I was like it failed it's it's failure but then it hit me it's like when have you ever preached to a thousand people right never you just told a thousand people about the gospel and I remember hit me one time where uh my sister called me of all people who do know Jesus and she's like 48 years old and she's like I was on Tik Tok and I saw your post I'm like you're 48 what you doing on Tik Tok you know what I mean like why you doing that you know grow up U but like she's like she called me and she's like crying she's like I I don't I don't know what I believe you know we all we all believe in different stuff she's like but what you posted and what you said I don't I don't know what I believe Jordan but she's like I'm so proud of you and I realize in that moment like if I'll surrender even this and I'll give this to God and I won't worry about who who who I think I'm impacting But realize like this post is going to promote God and if it never promotes me yeah I'm good but I think your transparency man frees people that we're man we're human man we're all tempted to like want to get the glory and bring Glory we're all tempted but it's in that Temptation do we take the bait do we say you know what I mean and I think it's encouraging for people to hear that like yeah you're tempted but man at the end of the day you're giving all glory to God because just because my story is no social media doesn't necessarily mean you don't have to do social media but you have to be aware as you said of the Temptation yeah something that the Lord kind of helped me with when I started speaking I started speaking in high school my like evangelism I've shared about that on the Pod before but God started having me go to people in high school talking about him and then I started preaching in high school and something that he helped me to understand to keep it on him is as a person our job is to point and we're either going to point to Skylar and I'm going to point to myself and highlight myself and glorify myself or I'm going to point and have my eyes on Jesus and encourage everyone else to put their eyes on him and though I'm talking and though I'm pointing I'm not bringing it here I'm bringing it to him so it's an honor for our lives to point to Jesus and whether it's posted on social media some of y'all got a Tik Tok min shout out to that but make sure that your motive is Jesus because I think the language God likes to speak is motive because that's a language only you and God know that's a language that you can't you can fake it with us but you cannot fake the language of your heart with the Lord and so when your motive is I am sharing truly to bring glory to the Lord he is pleased with that but when you're sharing cuz I think this little clip that I said sound cute that's all the glory you'll get which we've also talked about in other pods but keep pointing to Jesus and I think one oh go ahead no it's a posture thing it comes down to a posture thing always yeah and you know I think it's a heart posture every single time you want to like like you said it's it's got to be audience of one yeah and um that that's so powerful that's so profound to me of when's the last time you spoke to a th people that reached a thousand people and right that's you know God's applauding that because he got to you got to reach and the thing is like who are we trying to whose name are we trying to make famous right we don't need to make Jesus's name more famous than it is cuz it's we he doesn't need our help with that but we get to partner with him and say no not my name but your name I want to make the name of Jesus famous in any situation yeah maybe it might not be more famous in the world because he's Jesus yeah but in this situation who's more famous yeah in in my social media who's more famous is it Jesus or is it me in my Ministry is it Jesus or is it me yeah you know in my family is it Jesus or is it me yeah I think that's got to be the heart posture behind it yeah and I think one of the ways that's tested is with anything especially in the realm of self-promotion if God asked you to say no to an opportunity if God asked you to say you know he empowered you to lay your social media down or whatever mean would you do it because I think sometimes we'll start making excuses and we when we start giving the butt it's like okay let me check this there's something here but I think as long as you are again just piggybacking what you guys are saying doing it unto the Lord to truly break but you it's like we know though we know yeah we know I just think sometimes we lie to ourselves like but no but so many people liked it so I'm giving glory to God no just because they liked it doesn't mean they brought glory to God it's just you like the lights cuz it brought glory to you but just doing it with a pure heart but if God calls you to lay that thing down whatever it may be are you willing to do it yeah and and I think also like we always just say like building your own brand so like your own ENT r preneur or your own business but like we all serve a global vision under Pastor Jensen and like we all have like a Ministry that like he's provided an opportunity for us to do and it's like and it's our job as well to go like hey I might have dreams and plans but God is telling him that our church our direction is this and like if we if we disagree who wins well I'm I'm going to respect him I'm going to honor him because God put him to be the lead Pastor not me and so like even building your own brand you can really find out how quickly how quickly yeah you really want to be in charge just by watching if somebody else is the one making the call how well you follow true and I I think you're helping a lot of leaders in any context whether you're working for a church you're a pastor under another Ministry or you have a boss of any kind like the Bible in context in Luke says be faithful over another man's work and I think it's important to know like where you are in terms of the role you play Let's Talk practically like like if I'm case in BO you said it we're under the umbrella of free chapel and Free Chapel um and Pastor Jensen so we may have a vision that he's given us sort of autonomy to you know lead the ministry do a podcast but if anything that's under the umbrella is outside and there's correction best believe we are called to be obedient y or let's just say hypothetically we're recording this podcast right and let's say Pastor came and said hey I want to report my podcast here right now can we honor and not get feel some kind of way but be like hey he's our pastor give honor and then celebrate that we going to cheer our passor or we going to Grumble be like well he a let us do our podcast you know you know what I mean like yeah cuz there's one one math equation Jesus doesn't do and it's division you know so he's never going to try and cause division and it's like it's myob to support him you know like I remember I had a pastor years ago at this church I was in Australia and this dude was like he could have had his own church like people would follow him he wrote books like he was a preaching coach like one of the greatest communicators I ever heard and I went up to him after class one day I was like why don't you have your own church bro like like people would follow you like you could easily open like 2,000 people would show up and he goes God did not call me to open a church what he called me to do is support that man right there and if he called me to do that I'm going to be obedient and do that and so sometimes like as young adults were like I want to be the CEO I want to be this or I want to be that but in reality it's like bro if he called you to be a janitor and support a company be content in that it's David and Saul David and Saul I meant David was anointed to be king you know but like think about it not only did David have opportunities to like do some things to Saul but he had opportunity to kill Saul yeah but in his humility even the fact that Saul wanted to y' know the story I don't have to go into it that Saul wanted to kill David David still had honor reverence and respect to the position to where I believe that's one of the reason why the Bible says David was a man after God's Own Heart because David even in the context of hate murder chasing a man down that man never lost his honor and his reverence for leadership yeah something I think practical help on this topic for young adults is we talk about this a lot in church but I feel like we don't practice it a lot as young adults as accountability there needs to be people in your life who can sit you down and be like you have been promoting yourself your motives are very clear scy there ain't nobody trying to hear that ain't nobody trying to hear it but you need to hear it so you need to have some people in your life that will tell you I have two besties that they at any point can pull me aside and be like Skyler it seems as though blank and you need obviously naturally will want to get defensive and be like no I'm promoting Jesus but You' got to have people you can hear it from and also another thing that is helpful for us as young adults is have someone yes have your people but have someone above you have like some Pas some christas some Pastor Jordan Pastor Jason's some people in your life that are a little bit ahead of you that can speak truth to you in love for your betterment I betterment is a word for your improvement so that you can grow so open it up and you can maybe touch on this what would you provide in terms of practical wisdom on if you do get the correction let's say you don't agree yeah and I've been there I've been there where I've gotten correction that but here's the thing so you're you're taking it in if you give people this P again you shouldn't just take correction from everybody you really shouldn't I I do fully agree with that too but for those people that you you know God has placed them in your life for a reason and they're speaking into your life process it first don't immediately put those walls up but just listen like listen to what they are saying take it in and be honest with yourself again let's let's be real let's not play ourselves let's think about our motives so let's say if there's ever been a time like PA or Christa have said something to me I'm listening yeah I'm taking it in I'm saying Lord have I been acting this way unintentionally or intentionally cuz sometimes it's unintentional but that don't change that you're doing it you're still doing it even if it's unintentional but you're sitting there you have to be honest with yourself and then you have to respond and it sometimes the respond Clarity sometimes and sometimes there's been positions where I've had a conversation with like a mentor figure and it's literally they're seeing something but I can actually clarify that oh literally no that's not where I'm at and sometimes I'm listening I'm like actually you're bringing Clarity and that is where I've been at but I think the number one thing with accountability is being honest with ourselves and with those people that we've allowed to have that space in our life that's great I think the last question I really have around this is you know and this is just me personally but like you you know people will use other people yes to build their brand yes right and so like I would say first off is like how do you identify to make sure like somebody's may be like using you uh or second off like if you are that person that like wants to do great things how do you go into relationships extremely like healthy and not try and use somebody to help elevate your platform or help Elevate what you're doing but actually be a genuine person that actually has like an interest in people what would y'all what would youall say to that I think if you're desire is truly to honor God it's impossible to make the wrong choice absolutely if your desire is truly to honor God but that's that's got to be the key yeah like what's my desire what's my motive is it to make Jesus name famous or is it my name yeah if my desire is to honor God I can't make the wrong choice yeah you know I think a lot of times we get lost in the reason of things why does this happen I don't want to be a voice of reason I I want to be a person of purpose there might not be a reason for everything there might be many reason but there's one purpose and it's to make Christ name famous and Elevate his name so I think that's the that's the key I think the other key that I would put in you know right up below that is uh serving others I think on both perspective I think as a leader and we talked about this last uh the other night we were talking and how I was saying I think it's important for a leader to see the value and the potential in their people and raise them up yeah so if you are under a leader or whoever it may be boss who in context isn't sort of like helping you and guiding you and pushing you to be your very best you got to take a look at that cuz good leaders are servants but good leaders get the best out of their people and put their people in positions to win and then the other side of it if you are following a leader serve that leader whether that leader is whatever because think about through all throughout all the Bible sometimes men of God serve some really bad leaders yeah we but as long as your heart is to honor God and them God will take care of it we talk about David we talk about Daniel yeah Daniel was under Nebuchadnezzar that man was you know he was tripping but he did it in a way where he never disobey God or operated in sin so he was locked in like my firm foundation is God I ain't worshiping nothing else I'm going to serve you but if it's in the context outside of the will of God I ain't doing it if it's in will of God we rocking so serving yeah and I think something else we can pray for as young adults is for discernment I think we I tend to lean more on the the first part of the question where like if I believe in someone first of all I think we're too grown to be lying I think that lying stops when you're like in elementary school but apparently it doesn't but I am someone who just I trust what people say sometimes and I trust like if there's someone who's really going after this God tram and they need hands to do it I'll be like yes I'll do it but little do I know that I'm helping build the ministry of me for somebody you know but I think as people like that we have to know ourselves again being honest but then all of us need to be praying for discernment of God is this what you're calling me to do are you calling me to help facilitate this dream and help facilitate this Vision because that'll sustain you when things don't make sense or when you know I trust this house that we're under at Free Chapel so if there's something that I might fully comprehend or understand I'm submitted and I know God has called me here so I'm rocking with my church at the end of the day but we need to R we ride for free travel but ultimately what I'm saying is we just need to make sure we're getting our ultimate Clarity Vision direction from God discernment to see others and also discernment for ourselves of what is my motive again going back to motives to make sure it's pure and pleasing to God that's so good that's so good uh last statement I have on this is like when it comes to like building your own brand if you want to use other people to build your brand like I think you need to like take a hard look in the mirror and just realize like is that what Jesus would want for your life do you have to use others to get your opportunity I don't think you do I think it's something where it's like and this is just me but like I don't find the Bible verse where it says that like God doesn't want to elevate you yeah he I don't find the one where it says he doesn't want to use you but there is the verse that says like I will exalt you if you humble yourself but if you don't humble yourself like I'll make sure you're humbled and so I think like we have to go back to the basics as young adults like we can never have enough humility we can never have enough like things surrendered to God so I think like if you're in that place and you're trying to use other people my thing to you is like hey tell somebody maybe like open up about it and have that humility to tell God like hey God I really want this but but I'm going to surrender myself and fall myself under a vision so yeah good yeah that's real good I think that's all we have for y'all tonight we just appreciate y'all so
