The Soul Body Connection - Episode 3 and friends of Creflo Dollar Ministries. Coming up next on Changing Your World. In Proverbs 17:22, this shows how our emotions and your mental state can impact ((music playing)) your health. Prosper your soul by focusing on things like gratitude. Being grateful. It's so great to have Dr. Dollar here, the Spirit & Grace Tour and the Grace gang in town. >> Just about everybody that gave their testimony and asked them questions and getting answers, I was getting some of the answers I needed. >> It was like an atmosphere ((music playing)) of freedom. I would encourage people to come. The Spirit & Grace Tour with Creflo Dollar is coming to a city near you. Only 500 seats and they are going fast. Register now at spiritandgracetour.com. This is your world. So, let's vow to [music and singing] make it a better place. Let every heart and me to know your love is here to stay. Oh, it's time we live a new life. Let us love shine bright in you. We sleep by your grace, so we embrace your love today. We are changed. All right, let's look at this connection. Go to Proverbs chapter 16 verse 24. We got to deal with the traumas and the stresses from the past because the traumas and the stresses can hurt your health. Homelessness is traumatic. Being rejected by a father you never met is traumatic. Regardless if you've been trained to say, "Ain't nothing wrong with me. I know." See, you don't miss him until you go to school and see everybody else's dad and you wonder, "Well, what where am I? What what I do?" Proverbs 16:24 says this, "Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones." Pleasant words impact your soul and your bones. Wow. The prosperous soul body connection. When your SOUL IS AT PEACE and flourishing, it can possibly affect your physical health. He says, "I I pray that you prosper and be in health." And I'm telling you when when when when you have peace, peace begins to flourish in your life, it affects your physical body. Look at uh Proverbs 17:22. Proverbs 17:22. He says in verse 22, "A merry heart doth good like medicine." A merry heart GOOD GOOD GOOD LIKE MEDICINE. YOU EVER BEEN AROUND PEOPLE WHO HAPPY AND FULL OF JOY? YOU FEEL BETTER, don't you? YOU EVER BEEN AROUND FOLKS WHO WHO WHO are the opposite? BROKEN SPIRIT. ALWAYS GOT ISSUES. "HEY, HOW YOU DOING TODAY?" WELL, let me tell you. Hang that phone up and hire the anointing of block. You got to LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH THESE HUMANS in this earth as you go through this human experience. You got to speak I have to speak the truth while I'm preaching to you because I love you. So so I want you to listen to this now. In Proverbs 17:22, this shows how our emotions and your mental state can impact your health. Prosper your soul by focusing on things like gratitude. Being grateful. Don't focus on the fact that the big thing didn't happen. When the when the expected thing didn't happen, focus on the stuff that's already happened. All right, they turned your loan down, so you can't GET THE HOUSE. FATHER, I AM GRATEFUL for the I I got a place to stay, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that I got a place to stay. I GOT LORD, I GOT CURTAINS. GO GO AROUND THE HOUSE AND just start thanking God for all the stuff you got that you didn't used to have. There's something that happens when contentment plus godliness comes together. But complaining wants to enter so you can remain the same. And then at the same time, it affects your emotions. Now all of a sudden you don't you What's wrong with you? Insecurity and all those stuff, it's all coming in to try to impact your health. So, start using gratitude. Right thinking. Use that. Feasting on the grace of God. Forgiveness. Forgiveness. You when you walking around in unforgiveness are being controlled by the person you have it all against. They don't forgot about it. You still walking around in unforgiveness. But please. You still walking around in unforgiveness. You still walking around rehearsing it, nursing it, what I should have said, what I'm going to say it. What? And they in Miami somewhere drinking a pina colada. Ain't even ain't even thought about you. Ain't doing that. Well, I tell you what, I don't I don't I don't I don't really I don't really agree with with PASTOR DOLLAR. AIN'T AIN'T ASKED YOU. WHAT WHAT YOU WHAT WHO WHO ARE YOU WHO ARE YOU? WHAT? You got to understand how to work that, man. A deeper relationship with God can make a difference in your life. Um this peace that passes all understanding can have a direct impact on your stress levels, which in in in turn, it'll affect your physical health. Now, in the NLT, look at Ephesians 4:31 and 32. It gives you a a list of things that warn you about promoting health and healthy relationships. Look at what he says here. He says, "Get rid of all bitterness." Bitterness is unresolved unforgiveness that you have allowed to ferment on the inside of you and you said you ain't bothered by it no more, but it that ain't the truth. Get rid of all bitterness. It'll trouble you. Get rid of rage and anger. It comes up. Anger is an expression of fear. So, if you find yourself getting angry, ask yourself what what are you afraid of? Your wife says, "I'm going to go shopping. Can I have the credit card?" And you give her the credit card. Say, "Okay. I I know, you know, be be all right with that." And she gone for 3 hours. So, been went to Then she walk back in the room, you mad. Well, she ain't did nothing. Why you mad? Because you're afraid that she has spent way too much than what y'all talked about. Fear is expressed when you're angry. So, ask yourself if you walking around angry all the time, what are you afraid of? Don't ask why you angry. Ask what are you afraid of? Cuz anger is that expression of something you are afraid of. Harsh words. He said, "Get rid of harsh words." Get rid of harsh words. I keep thinking about Taffi. We listen, but we don't judge. I'm like, "You listening. I'm judging." >> [laughter] >> We listen, but we don't judge. Harsh words. Slander. Certain stuff, if you don't know that you know, then you don't know. Shut your mouth up. Well, they said. Who is they? What they name? What they address? Stay away from that slander and harsh words. That's the vocabulary of demons. As well as all types of evil behavior. He said, "Get rid of that." Instead, be kind to each other. Just be kind. Just speak to everybody that's in your pathway. Address them with sir. Sir. I don't work for them. You ain't got to. Says bad attitude. You're showing a sign of respect. Hello, sir. How are you doing? Especially if there if it's clear they're older than you are. You 14 years old and want to call a 50-year-old man by his first name. When this man has He's done too much for you to call him by by his first name. He done He DONE FOUGHT TOO MANY WARS SO YOU CAN enjoy stuff for you to call him by his first name. YOU DON'T CALL SOMEBODY BY THEIR FIRST name and you 14. Look at college park economy. You're 14 years old. And when they do that, correct them. Well, I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't agree with that. Fine. YOU DON'T MIND PEOPLE CALLING YOU, YOU KNOW, JOHN. HI, JOHN. HOW HOW DOING? HOW'S ARTHUR, DOLLAR? THAT'S FINE. BUT I'VE BEEN THROUGH TOO MUCH FOR YOURSELF NOT TO HAVE I YES. THAT'S all right. You ain't got to worry about it. You ain't got to worry about it. You know, cuz I ain't going to get mad if you call me Creflo. I DON'T HAVE TO HEY CREFLO, HOW YOU DOING? I JUST LOOK AT YOU AND SAY, "HMM." What happened to the respect that my your grandmama brought you up with? What happened to the respect that your mama brought you up to? That when you see somebody older than you are, you to address them mister. You don't even know their last name. Hey mister Jim. AIN'T NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. THERE'S SOMETHING OKAY ABOUT BEING RESPECTFUL to other people. There's something okay ABOUT THAT. SOMETHING OKAY ABOUT NO SIR, YES SIR. >> ((applause)) >> BUT WHATEVER. YOU AIN'T GOT to do none of that to me. You can call me a College Park person. >> [laughter] >> Cuz I'm still going to operate in the love of God. Now we might not have too many conversations, but I'm going to still operate in the love of God. So that's not a requirement of being a Christian. It's just some common courtesy that we ought to kind of have when we deal with one another in this life. So that's all I'm saying. You do what you want to do. You going to do what you want to do anyway. You know, at least you calling me Creflo. You can call me a whole bunch of other stuff. I you know, I I have to be grateful that you calling me Creflo. Praise the Lord. Cuz when I'm not in front of you, you calling me something else. And that's okay, too. Cuz I'm praying for you every day. If you speaking the language of demons, I'm praying for you every day. I'm asking the Lord to bless you and prosper you and open up doors for you that didn't open. I'm praying the love of God for it. Cuz if I can only love what's easy to love, then my love ain't worth nothing. I got to learn how to love what's hard to love. I got to learn how to love the disrespectful as well as the respectful. That's all I'm saying. So don't go ahead with no law. It ain't It ain't no law. Cuz you going to do what you want to do. But I know if we called somebody, if we didn't say mister and misses when I was growing up, y'all already know, right? First of all, you have you you ought not be sitting in there with grown folks talking. Oh, I'm going back, ain't I? You don't You grown folks talking. WHAT YOU DOING IN HERE? THESE GROWN FOLKS TALKING. AND YOU TRYING TO YOU TRYING to put SOMETHING IN. BUT WHAT WERE YOU GET OUT OF HERE. YOU REMEMBER THIS? DON'T YOU POKE YOUR lips out at me. DON'T YOU CROSS YOUR EYES WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU. You don't do that. I don't even recommend some of that stuff. I'm just saying where I came from. I mean I you know, raising kids I I I'd raise them a lot differently if I if I had to do it this day. I I don't recommend all that the stuff they're doing. I mean my dad had knocked me out on the way to school. I got smart with him and next thing I know I was like in Star Wars and I'm like, I think my daddy just knocked me out. God dog. >> [laughter] >> Instead of being all that other stuff, be kind. Yeah, yeah, there we go. Be kind to each other. Tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. I look at how he's treating me and I say, "Lord, teach me how to treat other people like you treat me." Emotions like unforgiveness can lead to chronic stress, which can lead to chronic disease. You got to let go of those negative emotions. How do I let go of unforgiveness, pastor? How do I let go? Number one, you got to acknowledge the hurt. I never forget when I did that, Lord. That hurt. You have to acknowledge the hurt. Number two, you got to choose to forgive. Every day I declare, I set my will to forgive. Number three, you got to pray and seek God's help. Lord, help me. See, I choose to forgive not because I agree with the abuse, but I choose to forgive because it's setting me free. Number four, practice empathy. Lord, I wonder what happened to them to put them in this situation. Number five, let go of the desire for revenge. Let go of the desire for revenge. Number six, replace those negative thoughts. Replace those negative thoughts with the word. And then I like number seven, if necessary, seek some support. You might need some support. You might need some people around you to kind of help you out. Now, I want us to begin to prepare to be healed, regardless of how we got there. Because sometimes we keep looking for reasons why a person got sick. And I appreciate the the empathy. But sometimes the Bible says that my glory might be seen. Some things happen to you that the glory might be seen. Not because you're eating, not because of anything, but that might be glory might be seen. So no matter how it got there, Jesus wants to heal you. Why? Cuz he loves you. I don't want you to sit back and thinking, "Well, you know, Lord, this is my fault." It might be, but Jesus still wants to heal you. In some situations, demonic forces can be involved trying to wipe you out, but Jesus still wants to heal you. Don't spend so much time with the why. Spend more time with the love that God has for you to want you healed. I want everybody to want the word. I want everybody to want understanding. I can hardly complete instructions because people have decided that's not what I want to hear. That ain't what I'm used to hearing, so I'm gone. This past week we called it spiritual prejudice. It's when you prejudge a thing without hearing the conclusion of the whole matter. And your spiritual prejudice stops you from renewing your mind. So spiritual prejudice is an enemy to renewing the mind. It's the enemy to a prosperous soul because in your head somehow you think YOU KNOW THE WHOLE THING. AND WHILE the word is trying to get you adjusted, you prejudge it like, "No, that ain't that ain't how I heard it before." What if what you heard was wrong? Hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Don't judge a thing before it's time. How do you think you know everything about God to the point where you can get offended from what I say? And you just got OUT OF THE BAPTISM POOL. YOU STILL DRIPPING WET. You can't allow yourself to be like that. You have to be a student of grace cuz I can tell you the number of times that I thought I had it and the spirit of God kept saying, "All right, now make this adjustment. Now make this shit." Now if I'd have just quit AND THOUGHT, "I GOT THIS." OH MY GOD, WE'D BE IN terrible shape. But I'm keep growing. I'm keep growing. I'm keep growing. Keep growing. You got to keep growing. You Renewing the mind is a lifetime process. Renewing the mind is not a one-time event. IT'S A LIFETIME PROCESS. BUT SOME Christians have decided, "I got my seminary degree. I know everything." Yeah, you know everything except him. And I'm not going to be like that. And as long as God has me doing what he wants me to do and I'm still useful to the kingdom on the earth, I'm good. I don't want to be in the way, though. When my time's up and I'm done, I ain't got to be sick. I'm out. But as long as I got some stuff to do and as long as somebody hungry to eat it, I'm going to still cook in the kitchen. So here's the deal. To to people who when they think they know more, hey, it's time for you to go and start your thing. I'm fine with that. I have become so peaceful. I go around people, they look at me. The first thing they comment on is like, "Wow, I see the peace on your face." Cuz I ain't going to let no get on my last nerve. And that's what I'm trying to tell you. You need to be whole today. And Jesus wants to make you whole. Look at Peter. This is my last scripture. 2:24 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness. By whose stripes you were healed. So, how do we start this today? You are not striving today to get healed. Today you receive that you were healed. Not we going to get healed, you were healed. Ooh, and if you were healed then you are healed and your healing is finished. Okay? Right? Now what we're going to do is we're going to escort the presence of God that you have in you, that I have in me and develop a welcoming atmosphere for him. Now when that atmosphere is developed all kinds of stuff could happen. Way beyond your healing. Somebody could get a a wisdom from God that's like, "Whoa." And sit down and write something down that will change your whole life. But I want you to know about the power of his presence. Somebody keep saying, "Well, you know they got wars and rumors of wars and people acting some kind of way and that's when it the YOU YOU CAN TELL JESUS COMING BACK." Please read your Bible. Jesus said there'll be wars, there'll be rumors of wars, there'll be blasphemies and slanders and people will turn against folks and all this kind of stuff. He says, "But the end is not yet. BUT WHEN THE GOSPEL HAS been preached throughout all the world then the end shall come." And that's what we're doing.
