Bishop Noel Jones - Wednesday Bible Study - June 11, 2025 Heat. ((music playing)) Heat. ((music playing)) celebrate ((music playing)) ((applause)) this young man and celebrate his wife and celebrate their journey and celebrate what they have to follow and we all should help them to follow it. I would that you turn with me to St. John's Gospel chapter 19. St. John's Gospel chapter 19 beginning and reading through verse beginning at 31 reading through verse 37. Now I see some standing and I see some sitting. So either we all are going to stand or we all are going to sit. ((music playing)) In St. John's gospel chapter 19 and verse 31, the Jews therefore because it was the preparation that the body should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day, for that Sabbath day was an high day. Besought Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. Then came the soldiers and break the legs of the first and of the other which was crucified with him. But when they came to Jesus, they saw that he was dead already. They break not his legs, but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and fort with came there out blood and water. And he that saw it record, and his record is true, and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe, for these things were done that was that the scripture should be fulfilled. The bone of him shall not be broken. And again, another scripture saith, they shall look on him whom they perish. I want you to notice. But one of the soldiers with despair pierced his side and forth with came there out blood and water. Before you sit, look at your neighbor and just simply say 23 seconds. Look at somebody else and say that's all it takes. 23 seconds. You may be seated. when you give consideration to to John and when we consider John and John's writings it is said of John that in his writings that Jesus is never invisible and John is never visible. If you check closely the gospel according St. John, you will you'll see very carefully that he never mentions his name. Not one time does he call his name. He speaks of John the Baptist, of course. He speaks of another disciple or the disciple who Jesus loved but he never ever mentions his own name. And it is because of that that the writers declare that Jesus John is never visible and Jesus is never invisible. If you study the book carefully, you will find that in each chapter, he highlights something very special about Jesus. I didn't ask permission. Is it all right to preach about Jesus? I hear so much humanitarian humanism. I hear so much humanism for gospel. Amen. That it seems as if we have forgotten the very fundamentals of what preaching and truth is all about. So I have your permission. When we deal with the concept of Jesus in John and he outlines in every single chapter something very specific about his savior. He is called the whole epistos that is the one who reclines against his bosom. And it's interesting because the compassion that John shows and the intimacy that he had with Jesus is seen very definitely in his writings. He opens up with a symphony of an orchestra and he declares that he was with God and was God. Then he shows us that he became flesh and dwelt among us. If you check through, you will find something specific. But the very substratum of the Christian faith is contingent upon the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And it's interesting that many of us uh don't like even the thought of death, but if it hadn't been for death, none of us would ever be saved. When we look at the spare, and I want to tell the devil, watch that spare, devil, because if you keep poking with that spare, you're going to release more power than you ever thought existed. And so when they pierced the parocardial sack and the water and the blood came rushing out, we just now began to see the very rudiments of our salvation because the first thing that happens is there has to be atonement and atonement very elementary is defined as being at onement with God. Atonement then is as if you have never sin. And more theologically, atonement is described as the means in and through the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ in his death on the cross by the shedding of his blood in vicarious sacrifice for sin by which God shows mercy to the sinner." unquote. We use the term atonement, but there are other terms that seem to be synonymous with atonement. And one of those terms is reconciliation. And we argue that reconciliation is synonymous with atonement. But the fact is that there can be no reconciliation unless there is atonement. If you'll allow me, then I will take atonement as an umbrella. And under atonement, I will begin by placing reconciliation. Because in order for us to come back to God, God had to have a means by which he could maintain his justice. and at the same time show mercy to the sinner. And in order to do that, blood had to be shed because without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. Now, I can hoop anytime. If you're waiting for I can do that anytime. And that's not anointing. That's right. That's just me. Well, since since we're having some fun here now, I want to say I'm going to walk across the pull pit and I'm going to come back to the lectern. Oh Lord, I'm going to walk past the pull pit. Touch your neighbor. Say ne. Now, why you all put me through all that? In order for us to come back to God, there has to be a shedding of blood. And atonement becomes necessary to bring reconciliation into place. It is significantly important because when Adam sinned and Eve was deceived but Adam made a choice. All right. And Adam was not deceived at all. And it's interesting to note that for five six verses Eve fought the devil. He said something. She said something. He said something. She said something and finally because he was smarter than she, she capitulated to his smart cunning chicainery. But the Bible then said, "And she gave to her husband and he did eat." He didn't say, "Let's pray about it." He didn't argue about it. In just one single verse, he capitulated and completely gave in. by choice. Yes, sir. And so because he is now estranged from God, it becomes necessary for there to be reconciliation. And reconciliation is only possible through atonement. Under that same umbrella, we would like to submit justification because indeed and in fact I submit justification as being under the umbrella of atonement sir because in order to appear to God as if we have never sinned again there has to be the shedding of blood. It is critical to understand this because you see now justification I might say very simply is just as if you have never sinned. It is not a work that you or I do. It is simply a work on Calvary that is done by Jesus Christ. And that is simply through the shedding of blood. When God sees the blood and he looks at us through the blood, it is as if we have never sinned. It is not an action of ours. It is not that we got ourselves together. It is simply that when he looks at us through the blood. I was traveling to Africa uh some years ago and in fact I've got to go back this Wednesday but I was traveling to Africa with a group of of preachers with me and because I live on the West Coast I generally get up later than they do so I'm up into the wee hours of the morning and I'm still three hours behind them. So, while I was in the plane, instead of just waking everybody up, turning the lights on, I have a red light that I put on my forehead. And I found something uh very interesting. And that is when the red light that I had on my head hit the red light on the Dre Beats that I was turning on, the Beats light looked white. When the red light hit the red light, it looked white. When I took the red light from the red light, it was red again. But when the red light hit the red light, it looked white. I discovered then what God was saying when he said, "Though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them white as wool." In other words, when the Lord looks at me, just straight looks at me, he sees me as a red sinner, but when he looks at me through the blood of Jesus, I automatically look white. It is not a work of my own. It is not anything that I have done. It is not even the work of the Holy Spirit that is sanctifying me, but it's simply Jesus Christ hanging on the cross shedding his blood that automatically gives me the power to come into the very presence of God. It is critical and it is important to understand that because it is where God paid the price to have grace. I would suggest to you that grace is not grace. Somebody paid the price for you to be able to walk in here and celebrate the name of Jesus. It is through this that is very critical to understand because none of us bring anything to the table. Oh yes, you can be humanist all you want to, but I've got news for you. If you look at Romans chapter 1, you will find that none of us even sought after God. There is no righteousness in any one of us. And no matter how good you can get, your righteousness is as filthy rags. The only righteousness that the Lord will accept is the righteousness that we gain through Jesus Christ. It's important to understand this because we are standing in grace and grace is unmmerited favor. Which means if you're sitting here and think that you deserve to be here, then something is radically wrong with your spiritual understanding. He brings grace. And the reason he brings grace or unmmerited favor is his wisdom has already calculated that you and I cannot bring anything substantial to the table. So because he through Ians of time have dealt with men who through every dispensation has somehow failed to meet the standard. He brought into this dispensation the understanding of unmmerited favor. He is saying, "I have a history with man, and man has not at all shown me anything that is significant. So here's what I'll do. I'll make their inability and their weakness a pre-erequisite for salvation." Uh, can I go over that again? Because I don't bring anything to the table. And God knows I'll never bring anything to the table. He says, "Okay, let's work with what they bring. Since they bring nothing, I'll make nothing a requirement for their salvation. And I'll call it grace, unmmerited favor. The reason I praise him like I do is because I don't deserve to be here. The reason I don't judge my neighbor is how can I put somebody out of a place that I don't deserve to be in myself. It's a critical thing and it's very important because now it's just as if I have never sinned. So justification then is a legal term expressing our position and our standing before God. I want to take you further and that is that under the umbrella of atonement with reconciliation and with justification also comes redemption. and redemption. Apollo lutrios from the Greek is redeemed by paying the Lutan price and it's simply that there are three different words that the Greeks use and one of those words is agarazzo and that is to buy out of a slave or rather agarazzo to buy in a slave market. In other words, now the blood of Jesus is the currency that God uses in the slave market. Who were the slaves? You and I were slaves to the system of the world, to the attitude of Satan. I don't want to digress, but allow me to digress for a minute. Uh when you talk about what is happening in the world and we deal with the devil and we make the devil the meanest animal in the zoo. I've got news for you. The meanest animal in the zoo is not the devil. The meanest animal in the zoo is not Belub is not Satan. I don't care what you want to call him. He has never been regarded as the root of all evil. The root of all evil is not the devil. The root of all evil is the love of money. Uh not having money, not being broke, but loving it. I wish somebody would understand me. You see, the problem with our world is the love of things. And the sad part is it has come into the church and we have promulgated the love of things as a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is really sad that we have made materialism a sign of whether or not you are close to the Lord Jesus. Ah the size of your house or the size of your car, the clothes you wear. We have now made it a symbol of one's relationship with God. And all we did when we preached materialism as a relationship with God, all we did was introduce envy. I wish somebody would understand me. There is more envy going on today than I have ever seen in my life. Uh can I digress for a minute? My relationship with God is not material because you can't live in a house so wonderful that you impress God with it. I don't care what you drive and what you wear. You can't impress God with what you have. My relationship with God is not physical. I heard some of you say, "Uh, the Lord is my wife. The Lord is my husband. Now, if you mean that he will keep you, I I I'll stretch. I'll go along with you. But if you mean that when you go home, he's going to wrap his arms around you. I I suggest you get back on your medicine. It is a critical thing. It is very critical to understand that my relationship with God is not physical. My relationship with God is not material. I don't care what school you went to. You could have graduated out of Harvard with 20 degrees. Your my relationship with God is not intellectual. It does not matter how smart I am. It does not determine how close I am to God. H can I take you further? Right there. There were two boys in separate mother's wombs. There were two boys. Uh one was his name was John and the other's name was Jesus. The Bible tell me when the two mothers came together they were close together. They were separated by two thin layers of cutaneous tissue. And the mothers when they came together, the Bible says that one of the boys, the child John leapt in his mother's womb and received the Holy Spirit and never said Jesus Jesus G G. Uh the now nobody is conscious in their mother's womb. He's cong yes he's connected umbilically but there is no syllogistic reasoning there's no al aristotal thinking in the mother's womb Jesus was not reading the Jerusalem tribune while he was in his mother's womb they were both unconscious in their mother's womb yet still the unconscious John got a revelation of who Jesus is. The unconscious John in his mother's womb received the Holy Ghost because he had a revelation of who Jesus is. Yet years later, the conscious John is asking, "Are you the one or should we look for another?" The unconscious John had a revelation of who Jesus is while the conscious John is still trying to figure him out. I suggest to you that you never let your mind talk you out of your revelation. It is critical to understand and it's true now that this power of redemption and the power of redemption is he buys us out of a slave market. He comes into the slave market and the devil declares I own the currency of the world. I am the god of this world. And yet Jesus is saying what you have I don't even deal with because what I have is more valuable than any currency you can possibly find in this world. And that is my blood. And when I buy an individual out with my blood, you can't have them back because you can't buy back with money what I have purchased with my blood. My blood supersedes any kind of currency that you could possibly have. I'm going to say this seven times. Touch your neighbor right now and say, "I'm not for sale." Oh, it doesn't matter what the devil is offering. I have received the power of the blood of Christ Jesus. uh Paul writing to Titus and writing to and Peter writing to us, he said the believer is set free from the power of sin and he's free to live a life pleasing to God in the power of the Holy Spirit. The redemption price, the precious blood of Christ Jesus, makes it possible for a believing sinner to step out on the fact that justice has been paid and I can walk in Christ with an overcoming life. So, under atonement, I've got reconciliation. I've got redemption. And of course, I've got justification, but I'd like to move a little bit further and put under that umbrella propitiation. Now, propitiation in in one sense from the Greek word elastion is simply the act of appeasing the orier or the righteous indignation of God. The Bible says that the Lord in the psalm is angry with the sinner every day because the sinner has rebelled against him. I think an interesting text is where in Romans chapter 5 Paul points out how against God we were. He said one we were weak. He said for a weak man one may die. Then he says we're not only weak but we were sinners and then we were enemies of God. So notice now there are stages that indicate the condition that we are in as opposed to God. And yet still he is angry with us every day. And in order to appease that anger he has to have a propitiation. Well, what is a propreciation? Well, you told your wife you would be home at 9:00 and because she was waiting for you anxiously and wonderfully, she put on something wonderful and something Yeah. beautiful and of course quite attractive because she's looking for you at 9:00. It is now 10:00. It is now 11:00 and you have not shown up. She has moved out of that. Uh Mhm. And she is now back in the heels that have no backs on them and the toes that are demarked. She is now wearing something that is indicative of somebody living in Alaska. And she is mad. Now, if you have any kind of sense on your way home, you would stop by the pharmacy and pick up some flowers and you would throw the flowers in the room and if the flowers don't come back out, then you might make your entrance. You see, God had to have something to appease his anger. And the only way you could appease his anger is through the blood of Christ Jesus. It is the blood. Is it all right for me to preach the very fundamentals of our truth? And I think this will go back all the way to the heritage that we have received because everybody I know in the past would preach the blood of Christ Jesus. Oh yes. We become so sophisticated that we no longer plead the blood. The first thing we do is pick up a phone and call a doctor. But there are some people still in here that know how to call on the name of the Lord and declare there is power in the blood of Christ Jesus. It is this helisterion, this act of appeasing the ore, the righteous indignation of God. And when we look in the holy in the old testament, it is the blood that comes between the violated holy law and the violators, the people. When the priest would sprinkle the sacrificial blood on the golden cover of the ark of the covenant below in which are the tablets of stone, something marvelous happens. When he sprinkles the blood on the cover, it ceases to be a place of judgment and it becomes a place of mercy. If there was no blood, you wouldn't be here today. If there was no blood, there would be no righteousness and holiness in you today. If there was no blood, there would be no praise coming out of your mouth because of the blood of Christ Jesus. I can stand here and declare victory shall be mine. Ah, there's power in his blood. It God is appeased. And so now I can enter into his courts. He is appeased. So now I can stand before him. I am justified. I am reconciled. I am redeemed. And I can come and stand in his presence as I could never do it before. The Bible when it uses the word for before means I can look him in the face. But the only reason I can look him in the face is because of what happened on Calvar's cross. I have just now dealt with the legal function in terms of our atonement, our justification, redemption, and our propitiation. Therefore, I can say again, without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. But along with the legal responses, I also have the vital injections of the blood. What Peter does is he calls it precious. Somebody say precious. And it's accounted as a great price. And in the superlative degree, he says it's costly. It's not only costly because it costs the only begotten son his life, but it's costly because he declared, "For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son." He gave us a unique gift. He gave us a devil buster gift. He gave us the most potent gift that he could possibly have given to anyone. And it's precious because there's only five quarts of blood in the human body. I want you to see how precious it is. There's five quarts of blood in the human body. And that five quarts of blood covers everybody who has ever lived, everybody who is living now. and everybody who will ever live. Didn't nobody pour no blood on you and I. It's just a vapor of his blood that'll send the devil out of your house. Just a vapor of his blood that'll change the situation in your life. Can I preach like I feel it? Can I take it a little higher? If you look in the first kings or 2 kings rather, no, first kings chapter 8, you will find that it took 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep to sanctify Israel for the temple. Can I go over that again? 22,000 of the purest oxen, 122,000 just to sanctify Israel for the making of the temple. There was not a billion people in Israel. The numbers were in the hundreds of thousands. And yet still, five quarts of blood replaces 22,000 oxen. and 120,000 sheep. Every time the devil moves in your house, you ought to plead the blood of Christ Jesus. Let the sophisticated Christians call for the therapist. Oh yeah, I'm going to call for therapy, but I'm going to plead the blood first. I'm going to call for the doctor, but I'm going to plead the blood first. I'm going to call for the police, but I'm going to plead the blood before I call for anybody. There is power. Oh, I feel like having church now. I don't know how you feel, but I'm waking up. They were the very best, not the second. And this was just Israel living. This is why Paul says in 2 Corinthians, he tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty. Oh yes, through God to the pulling down of strongholds. You've got to get real basic again when it comes to having power in the spirit because the power that we have in the spirit is not comparable to any power in the flesh. I've got news for you. There is power in the spirit that you can say to that mountain, "Be thou removed." And that mountain is moved. People have told us that there is something wrong with our faith and we need to increase our faith. But it doesn't take much faith to do anything. I feel like preaching in here now. You can connect to New York and you can connect to somebody in New York by driving on the freeway. You can also connect to somebody in New York with a telegraph line. And now you can connect to somebody in New York without any line at all on the internet. You see, they have told us we need a whole lot of faith like faith changes God's mind. Faith does not change God's mind for what he has for you. Oh yes. I'm told if you speak it, it'll come to pass. Speaking things that are not as though they are. Don't play with it. You can't speak anything that was not as though they are. Only God can do that. I feel like preaching in here. We have been used and played with from the pulpit with stuff that makes no sense. Only God can speak things that are not as though they are. And many people are scared about what they say. The life and death is in the power of the tongue. Where did you read that in the book of Proverbs? Who was he talking about? The king. The king has the power of life and death. You don't have the power of life and death. They've got me dead on the internet. They're spreading it. They're calling me from Africa, calling me from all over. Somebody wants me dead. But when it comes to the power of the blood, you can call all the witches you want. You can call all the sorcerers you want. Nobody has power to overcome the power of the blood of Christ Jesus. I feel like having some church. Where's my musician? Ah, I feel like lifting the lame of the Lord up. Uh, touch your neighbor for the second time. Say, neighbor, there is power in the blood. The reason I'm sitting here, the reason I'm still praising God, the reason I can give God the glory is because of the power that's in the blood of Christ Jesus. Uh that's why he says uh that these strongholds come down through the power of our warfare. Ah, not only do I need my girth with truth, my loins girth with truth, not only do I need a breastplate of righteousness, not only do I need my feet shot with the preparation of the gospel, not only do I need the shield of faith, and uh thank God I have the helmet of salvation, but all of those weapons are defensive weapons. That's when the devil's on me. I got to back up. But God gave me another weapon, and that is the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. I feel the Holy Ghost in this househ. Every now and then, you got to put the word on the devil. Uh, get out of my house. It is written. Get out of my finance, it is written. Get out of my marriage. It is written, get out of my mind. It is written, I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him. I feel the Holy Spirit in this househ. That's why when I battle the devil, I battle him with the word of God. There is nothing he can do with the word because it backs him up every time. That's why the word and the spirit of God work together. That's why they declared in Revelations 12, they overcame Satan by the blood of the lamb and their testimony. Do you have something to say about the Lord? Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. You got to tell where he brought you from. Stop trying to look like Alice in Wonderland when it comes to sin. All of us were sinners saved by grace. And it was the blood of Jesus that washed us. He said, "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." He didn't say what was going on in the house. He didn't decide how they were behaving. He didn't decide whether they were weak or strong. He said, "When I see the blood, I will pass over you. If it hadn't been for the blood of Jesus, I would have lost my mind a long time ago. Had it not been for the blood of Jesus, I would have been dead and buried in my sins. But every time I walk through the house and I look to Calvary and I see the blood of Jesus, I say, "Devil, you better watch that spare. You keep poking around. You going to poke something that you can't deal with. And I have the blood in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ." That's why John said, "I feel like having church." That's why John declared he said there are three that bear witness in earth the spirit the water and the blood and these three agree in one. The water is symbol of the word that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. You need the word to keep on washing. I feel like preaching in here. You see, it's often times you ask the question, where is Jesus? He's at the right hand. The Bible says making intercession. He didn't only finish on Calvary, but right now he's making intercession for you and I. So while the folk are talking about you and while people see you in your weakness and see you when you were down and outuh can I preach like a villain? I'm thankful to God because he covers you when you're in your weak state because had your enemies found you while you were down they would have destroyed you. But God covered you. Oh yes. love covers a multitude of faults and he covers you by his blood. Every now and then he checks to see how you're doing in the midnight hour. He will come in your darkest time and he will move on you while you're trying to get strong. He'll move on you and then he'll restore you and let you tell it. Oh, you thought I was on the mountaintop. You thought I was doing everything right. But it was God who covered me. Now I want to tell you where he brought me from. He'll bring you up when people leave you for dead. He'll bring you back when others have walked away from you. And since God raised Jesus from the dead, he can raise any situation that you find yourself in. Give somebody high five for the third time and say, "Neighbor, you don't know where I've been. You know my glory, but you don't know my story. You don't know where God has brought me from. Y'all excuse me now, but I feel like giving God some glory. Can you give him 5 seconds of praise? Uh, 101, 102, 103, and4,05. The sanctification of the word. And that's why he declared that the life of the flesh is in the blood. I feel the Holy Ghost, the life of the flesh. You and I know that when we go to the doctor, the first thing he does is give us a blood test because he can look in the blood and determine what's wrong with you because the life of the flesh is in the blood. That's why when we take communion service uh it is not proper to take the bread alone to receive the bread which is a crucified word of God but you take the wine with it for the blood which he has willingly shed so that the blood is sprinkled over the word and it transmits life because the Wife of the flesh is in the blood. Without the blood, the word can't work. I feel like preaching because the spirit testifies of the power of the word through the blood. I've got to have the spirit. I've got to have the word and I've got to have the blood in order to come alive. That's why Jesus declared, "Except you eat my flesh, the word and drink my blood, you have no life, the name I feel like preaching. The name is what stimulates the power of the blood because you got to have a name associated with the blood. If you don't have a name, then you don't know whose blood it is. I feel like prejud and moved by the name. what name or by what power? Did you remember when they came in the book of Acts? And they came out of the househ having healed the man. And the question was asked, "By what name?" Or by what power? If you show me the power, I'll tell you the name. If you tell me the name, I'll show you the power. There is power in the name of Jesus. I've got the Holy Ghost which is the dunamis. But I need something else to go with the dunamis. I need the excuseia which is the authority. Can I preach like a fillet? You can write my check. You've got the dunamis to write my check, but you don't have the excuse to sign it. I am that I am. You put anything to me and I'll be what you want me to be because I am God and beside me. There is no other. I feel like preaching. Thank you, Bishop Wagner. I feel like lifting him up. Give somebody high five. Said, "I have the power because I know the name. I have the power because I have the blood. I have the power because I have the word and I am fortified. I'm ready to go to battle. I'm almost through. Look at our bodies. the physical aspect of the blood and its main function. One writer says the blood is the elixir of life. It nourishes the body. It cleanses the body. It causes the body to grow. There are many tissues in the body, but they are all fixed. But there is one tissue that's flowing throughout your body and that is the blood. I feel like preaching. There are all kinds of fluids. You got secretions. You got saliva. You've got bile. You've got tears. You've got gastric juices. These are produced by the body, but they're not a part of the body. The blood is a part of the body. It ain't just another juice. It's the life of the body. The blood unites all the cells that are in the body. And there's only five quarts. And when the heart is beating right, it circulates the blood. Can I preach like a feellet? In the blood, you've got luccoytes. And the luccoytes, they fight. When anytime something rises up, they fight it. They can check your blood and if your red cells are high that means there is something infectious in your body because they rise up to fight. Is there anybody in here that's in a fight right now? Is there anybody in here that's fighting spiritual wickedness in high places? Well, the blood has increased the warriors to come against every demon, every demon of darkness. Can I preach like I feel it? Then you've got the uricites. I feel like preaching. That picks up the waste of the tissue, the carbon dioxide, the cell garbage. Then it discharges it in the kidneys, in the skin, in the bowels, and in the lungs. The blood is going through your body right now and is picking up everything that is negative and dropping it off in the bowels, in the lungs, in the kidneys for you to get rid of it. Can I tell you like it is? Give somebody a high five. Say the blood is moving through you. God is cleansing you. God is feeding you. God is nourishing you. And how long does it take? 23 seconds. I feel like giving God the glory. Give somebody high five. Say, "They left me for dead, but I'm still alive. Because in 23 seconds I'll rise ((music playing)) again. I feel like preaching. Shake somebody's hand like you going to shake it off and say, "Neighbor, neighbor." They were surprised when I was still alive. Because in 23 seconds, God will turn it all the way around. In 23 seconds, he'll move the devil out of your house. Get out of my house. Get out of my car. Get out. Get out. Get out. I'm a child of God. In 23 seconds, give somebody high five for the last time.
