Jesus Makes Your Life Significant I'm not ((music playing)) move what I feel. I don't ((music playing)) live by what I see because my God has ((music playing)) made a way [singing] for me. Christmas Eve. >> Oh, Christmas in our home. I'll be on for Christmas. >> You can count on me. [laughter] >> Yes. Amen. >> Please have snow and presents under the tree. [laughter] Glory got me all scotted. [clears throat] Just about every morning, my routine is to grab my coffee and sit down to watch the Believer's Voice of Victory broadcast. It helps me to start my day focusing on the word of God, walking in love and faith. I appreciate your faithfulness in sharing the word. I have learned so much over the years. I'm still learning each day how to grow in faith and develop an intimate relationship with my heavenly father. Thank you for all you do, MG in Alabama. >> Praise God, MG. Merry Christmas. >> Merry Christmas. >> Ain't that good? >> It is good. >> Praise God. Oh, I get thrilled at Christmas. >> Now, pick that up, Greg, where where you were talking about low in the book. I I don't want to get I want to get that on record. >> This is uh in Hebrews. We were finishing up in Hebrews yesterday, doing more in Hebrews yesterday. And in chapter 10, we were talking about this sacrifice and the blood of bulls and goats cannot cleanse us. >> Uh in Hebrews chapter 10:5, wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith sacrifice and offering thou would not but a body thou hast prepared for me. And burnt offerings and the sacrifices for sin, thou hast no pleasure. Verse seven, then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book, it is written of me to do thy will, oh God. Ain't that good? >> Verse 16. This is the covenant >> that I would now blood now cuz we're going to go to first John after this. This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, say the Lord. I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. >> Now, this is not atonement. >> This is remission. >> Look at verse 19. Yeah. boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he hath consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, having a high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. >> You get all the way down to the end of this chapter in 38 says, "The just shall live by faith." >> But now, wait a minute. There's something you got to deal with in 23. >> Okay. >> Let us hold fast >> the profession or confession of our faith without wavering >> for he is faithful that promised. >> Yes. Merry Christmas for that. >> Merry Christmas. >> He is faithful. >> That's what this is all about. >> This recognizes him. Christ Mass, >> the celebration of the anointing. >> Uhhuh. >> Not just the anointed one. >> The anointing. >> Yeah. >> Because we are jointed airs with him. >> This is the day the world recognizes. >> Yes. >> He came whether he came on this day or not. >> That's right. >> We know he didn't. >> No. >> But the world recognizes. So this day is significant. >> Yes, it is >> because >> December 25. it it's significant because he's associated with it. If he's associated with your life, your life became significant. >> Yes. >> Amen. >> Praise God. >> Amen. >> So now, uh when we closed yesterday, I was talking about a situation down there in southern Florida. And um so um hang on a minute. Go on over there to First John. >> Okay. [cough and clears throat] [snorts] And uh and and then I I'll I'll take it up where I was yesterday. So it it was a it was a it it was a tough meeting at three weeks. And the the pastor uh I I heard the pastor say, "Oh Lord, all these bills and things that we have to had he just mentioned that to me." Of course, I mean, but and I but I'm just as much to blame. I heard it. I should have gone in there and asked him, >> "What do we need to do here?" >> So, I'm just much more blame than he was. And uh so and I so I went back in there and I said, "Well, Lord, I I don't I don't want to go over there and preach. I just I don't want to. You just have to get you another boy. I I just I don't want to go over there." And down here in my spirit, why? Well, you know why? And uh and I'll just be plain with you. I didn't cuss, but I got close. [laughter] No, I really didn't. But [snorts] it there was there's as much hurt in as it as anything else. And he said, um, Kenneth, [snorts] he said, did you confess that sin before me? I said, yes, sir, I did. He said, "When you confessed, it's not when I found out about it." Well, of course, because he lives on the inside of me. But listen to this. He said, "That's when you got rid of it." >> That's right. >> Now, let me remind you something, class. 1 Peter 2:24. He bore our sins in his own body on the tree. >> That's right. that we being dead to sins >> should live under righteousness. >> By whose stripes we were healed. >> I have that handwritten with other scriptures like I've told you and scotch taped to my saving mirror. I do this every morning and I go in there in the evening and so forth and there it all is on my shaving mirror along with some other scriptures about Gloria and so forth and uh so that I never I never let it get out of my eyes. That makes Proverbs 4. I never let it depart from my eyes. >> Now here's the point. First John verse four, these things write we unto you that your joy may be full. The joy of the Lord is our strength. >> Yes, it is. >> This then is the message which we heard of him and we declare it unto you. >> So it is now declared. >> This is a Christmas message now. Right now, now class in radio and television, haha, 2025 is just about in the rear view mirror. >> Yes, it is. >> Yes. >> But we got a few days here between Christmas and New Year. >> And uh I suggest that you don't pig out and then get you an alkessor and try alco. No, no, don't be doing that. Well, that's your decision. [laughter] It is Christmas. >> Yeah. >> If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie >> and do not the truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. And the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all sin. >> This man was there. He stood at that cross. >> Amen. >> He stood at the foot of the cross. I dare say he got blood on his clothes. >> And the master looked down and said, and he he was standing there next to Mary. >> That's right. Mary standing there watching her son hang on that cross and he said, "Behold your mother. Behold your son." And he's writing. But if we walk in the light, >> Yes. >> as he is in the light. >> Yes, sir. We have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us all from all sin. If we say we have no sin, >> we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Listen class. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we've not sinned, we made him a liar and the word's not in us. My little children, these things, right? We have an advocate. >> We have an attorney at law [laughter] sitting on the right hand. Woo! Glory to God. >> His blood is still speaking. >> It's like the blood of Abel's blood still speaks. Sure it is. >> Is speaking >> and and he is making intercession on my behalf. You know on the throne, brother Copelan, they don't sit side by side facing out. They sit kind of like you and I do. >> Yes. >> So I'm always turned toward you. You're always turned a little bit toward me. >> Amen. >> And and he's always before the father >> where this guy's concerned. >> It's a beautiful thing. So all I'm doing is coming into agreement. I'm still righteous now. I was righteous. I was made righteous when I accepted him. But he's cleansing me from unrighteousness. >> Yes, >> I still live. My spirit is righteous, but my flesh lives in a broken world. >> Yes. >> This is where my hope is. Yes. >> That someday my flesh will be glorified just like my spirit is. >> And so the righteous of the law was fulfilled when he hung on the tree. >> Yes. >> And all I'm doing is just cleansing my garments. >> And that's when you go back to the 10th chapter of Romans. >> Exactly. >> That's what that's about. >> Exactly. Right. Matter of fact, there are Paul writes three chapters. They're all the third chapter. As a matter of fact, Romans chapter 3, Galatians chapter 3, and Philippians chapter 3. And they all have to deal with my justification. >> Amen. >> Based upon what Jesus, let me read you Philippians chapter 3 verse uh 9. And be found in him. >> He's the light. If I'm in the light, then I walk in the light. and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law. >> Yeah. >> But that which through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection. That's why I have first John 1:9. >> Yes, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> Is to to walk right back into that light. Walk right back into I'm not getting saved again. >> That's right. >> I'm getting that under the blood. >> Hallelujah. Because I miss the mark all the time. >> Yes, we do. >> If I'm if I'm in my car [laughter] >> and I'm in a hurry, I will sin. [laughter] >> Cuz it says the speed limit >> and I'll go over it and I missed the mark. >> Greg, let me go back into something here. [laughter] I just confessed my sin. Let me let me go let me go back into something here. [clears throat] 1966. Now there'd been I won't go into all of the detail, [cough and clears throat] but it had to do with with an airplane trade and a con just just just just thing. And uh I knew I got the short end of the deal, but uh I'm getting out of that business and getting away from it. There's some other things involved. So this Omobile had oh it had about 90,000 miles on it when I got it when we got it. And it ran good and [snorts] it's the only thing Gloria had to drive. Well, we had that car wreck >> in in the Riviera. and we was left with that old Osmo mobile and we didn't have money to get anything else. So I was driving it, but it it it ran good and I was driving that cross country and well I I had gone from Tulsa to Lok [clears throat and cough] and spoke at first cafeteria there and I was coming back in that car And I had a whole sack full of batteries and I'm listening to brother Hagen, you know, on the little little tape machine. I'd listen going out there and listen coming back and then all of that exploded in that in that captor. Anyway, I was coming back and I said, "Lord, you can keep this car together at 60 as well as you can 45 just as plain." Yes. You get out over that speed limit, you're out of my hands. >> Whoa. >> Breaking. >> He said, "You agreed when you got your driver's license, you agreed on paper that you would obey the laws." I said, "Okay." Well, I used to didn't pay much attention to them. Well, that changed. That old car didn't have a cruise control. I was it. >> Are you kidding? The cruise control is gone on that car before [laughter] God. We never did anybody else to fix it. But driving back, keep the speed limit. And I work on it today. I don't I don't ever get off of it. And of course driving my pickup at Benning, you know, and it's got all the bells and whistles on it. GMC pickup and uh so but I just set that cruise control and on anything anything else >> I just set it and just ride along there at speed limit and though and on it the little mileage thing it'll turn red if we get over it. [laughter] >> Why? It is the law. >> That's it. It is the law >> and it's a violation of the law. But uh on this we're reading right here [clears throat] more than once and I I've just [clears throat] laid down there in the bed and father I'm so grateful to you and I just think about the different things and uh and and quote Mark 11:23:24. I said, "Lord, if I have ought against anybody, I I don't know about it." You know, I have thought of things that I did way back before was ever saved and then dumb, stupid things that I did and said, "Just repent of it. >> Just clean this. >> Just clean it and keep it that way." and just stop and say, "No, no, no, no, no. I shouldn't have said that." >> Yes. >> Now, I'm gonna bring this up. Go to your dictionary and look up the word incredible. >> And you're using it to express yourself. Isn't that incredible? No, it's credible. >> That's right. And I had the Lord say to me one time, "Don't [clears throat] use the world's words to express yourself. >> Don't use fear." >> He said, "Say, my isn't that awesome?" marvelous in my eyes. It's just rich in my heart. Praise God. >> And I have to work at it. I still have to work at it. It is such a habit of saying my goodness. >> I don't have any goodness. >> The only goodness I have in me is him. >> All you're doing is you're you're renewing your mind to focusing on him. >> Yes. Instead of my goodness instead of yourself. >> I don't have any good point. Jesus corrected that rich young ruler about that. >> Absolutely they did. >> Call no one good. Well, listen. I come up and say that >> I got to go back here and repent because I know better. >> Absolutely. >> So, I'd begin to retrain myself. Fantastic. No, that's a word where the word football fan came from. >> Well, I'm not a fan of Jesus. >> I belong to him >> and he belongs to me. >> Yeah. You're a son now. It's everything changed to that point. If you go to chapter two, my little children, these things write unto you that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ, the righteous, >> the righteous. Yes. >> Now, my righteousness is only because of him. >> That's right. >> And so, I keep I've I'm training myself to keep my faith into his righteousness. Keep my faith into where he's seated. Keep my faith into what he's done. And get my eyes off of me. Mhm. >> When I get my eyes on me, I'm going to have to go right back to First John 1:9 cuz I have fallen from grace >> cuz I've gone into my own works. This is Paul wrote a lot about this. Look at this. And hereby we know that we know him if we keep his commandments. >> He that said, "I know him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar. The truth is not in him. But whosoever keepeth his word in him verily is the love of God perfected. We by we know that we are in him. So even in first John 1:9, I'm in him. >> Yes. >> I've just gotten soiled by the things of this world, knowingly or unknowingly. >> And first John 1:9 means it'll never be remembered or brought up again. >> I like it. >> Not not that I'm getting saved again. >> Peter did this at the last supper. Jesus is is going to wash their feet. Peter won't have any part of it. And Jesus says to him, "I've already I've cleansed you, but I need to wash your feet." And then Peter says, "Well, wash all of me." >> But he says, "You're already cleansed." >> That was a big statement right there. >> You are already cleansed. >> But Peter's one of these guys, which I I admire of him. He is all that way or he's all that way. >> Absolutely. >> After all, he's the only one that walked on the water. >> Yes, he is. Now, I want you to notice something about that. It says he beginning to sink. How do you begin to sink? Other than he's out there instead of just here's a man weighed a couple hundred pounds. You don't begin to sink. [laughter] A cork begins to sink. >> He was still under the power of that. Mhm. >> Mhm. >> He was still He had faith when he walked out there to start with. >> His faith was still holding. He's going down like this. And all Jesus had to do was reach out and get he made it all the way until he saw the wind boisterous. >> That's right. >> And beginning to sink, he said, "Save me." >> Well, why'd he say, "Save me?" He knew how to swim. >> Well, yeah. He jumped in the water and swam to shore. Yeah. [laughter] >> After the death, bur and resurrection of Jesus. >> And we're out of time. >> Glory to God >> because uh and we'll take up I want to go over here to the fourth chapter of the book of Hebrews uh and tomorrow. So [clears throat and cough] you get anything out of that today. >> Praise God. We'll be back in just a few minutes. ((applause)) What are you hoping for today? So, wherever we're gathering, it might be at my house, my mom and dad's house, not very often a restaurant, but gathering at church, wherever you gather, whatever we're doing, we can come together as a family and enjoy spending time with one another. Well, today I want to share with you how you can have the best Christmas. And it starts with receiving the best gift, the gift of Jesus. John 3:16 and17 in the Passion translation says, "For here is the way God loved the world. He gave his only unique son as a gift." This is what God chose as a way, his way to love you. So now, everyone who believes in him will never perish, but experience everlasting life. That's a promise. God did not send his son into the world. Listen to this really closely because this is where people get it wrong. God did not send his son into the world to judge and condemn the world. He already said he sent him to love the world, but to be its savior and rescue it. That's the truth about Jesus. He defeated all of Satan's curse and destroyed the works of the enemy. He paid the full price for you to have everything God promised in the word of God. And all your part is to just receive Jesus. Ask him into your heart and make him the Lord and Savior of your life. You'll exchange your failures for his victory. So, let's pray and start today for you. Lord, I thank you that you sent your son Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus, come [clears throat] into my heart. You were sent by God himself to love me, to help me, and rescue me and save me. So I receive you in all those capacities right now in Jesus' name. Amen. If you prayed that prayer, something good just happened to you and we want to be a part of it. So we have this book called He Did It All for You. It's part of the salvation package. With that comes a free study guide, help to read the word of God, and it just will encourage you to begin your fellowship with him. Just go to kcm.org org and request yours free. Listen, he's been waiting to talk to you. So, just sit and spend some time with him. >> Now, today's the day before Christmas and since my birthday is the first week in December, she would always have the tree and everything up by my birthday. And it just brought the agony on, [laughter] you know, about what is this all about? We did Christmas Eve instead of Christmas morning. Anyway, get your hope up. Now, this this is extremely important. Hope is the blueprint for faith. >> Yes. >> Faith, hope, and love. These three. And the greatest of these is love. Well, of course it is because God is love. >> So, we want to get you to hope up. Just jack it up high as you can get it and just slam your faith into it and every bit of it will come to pass. That's right. >> And we praise God for it. We'll see you again tomorrow. Until then, this is Kenneth Copelan, Professor Greg Stevens, reminding you of this. God loves you. We love you, and Jesus is Lord. >> Yes, he is. >> If you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, request the salvation package from Kenneth Copelan ((music playing)) Ministries, free on kcm.org/salvation.
