nights when I was out there I told them I said you guys may have 12 Days of Christmas out here um who knows what's going to happen but we're believing God to do powerful things just like we s God's listen the god of Gainesville Georgia is the god come on of Orange County and we we're believing that the way God moved powerfully he's going to move powerfully in that campus among those people as we saw many many many lives of people being touched in a powerful way young people we're believing that to happen and I know they're expecting that too I want to encourage you to pray for them let's pray for them how many you pray and believe God to move and and say Lord start something fresh on the west coast come on use Orange County to be an epicenter of faith that that goes out like a like a spiritual earthquake I ain't speaking no natural one but but would hit that whole West Coast with a move of God like never before I believe God can do it do you amen we'll keep them in prayer if you have your Bibles open them up with me to the Book of Luke Chapter 2 Luke Chapter 2 I'll go to two places this morning they're going to put the text on the screen and just a few moments at the conclusion of our message we're going to have communion together but I want you to look at this text this morning Luke Chapter 2 and I'm going to be begin reading I'm going to read this begin reading at verse four actually Luke chapter two is talking about how they had uh Mary and Joseph had to go up for the time of the census verse four said Joseph also went up From Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Jud into Judea to the city of David which is called Bethlehem because he was one of the house and lineage of David to be registered with Mary his Thro wife who was with child verse 6 says so it was that while they were there the days were completed of for her to be delivered and she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a Manger because there was no room for them in the end Luke chapter 22 it says this in verse 14 when the time came Jesus that's the next place we'll look Luke chap 22 verse 14 when the time came Jesus and the apostles sat down together at the table notice that Jesus said I have been very eager to eat the Passover meal with you before my suffering Begins for I tell you now that I won't eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the kingdom of God then he took a cup of then he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it then he said take this and share it among yourselves for I will not drink wine again until the kingdom of God has come he took some bread and gave thanks to God for it then he broke it in into pieces and gave it to his disciples saying this is my body which is given for you do this in remembrance of me if you're taking notes or writing things down you want to give this a title I want to call this the table the stable I'm sorry and and the table the stable and the table the Christmas stable and the communion table what does communion and Christmas have in common both are times of remembrance at Christmas we remember that he came but at Communion remember his we remember his death and we remember his returning this time of year as you can even look inside of this building the church and on the outside many neighborhoods many communities many places of business you can see all the decor the lights the trees the decorations all around uh go into malls or or retail shops or places you can see all the decor of people who are preparing to celebrate this Christmas season and this time of year if you just look around there's always I believe a nation or even worldwide witness or reminder that comes annually about a man named Jesus who came into this world to seek and save that which is lost when I see the trees when I see the lights I see it's just an annual reminder to many this time of the year that it's about a man named Jesus to C to that came into this world to seek and save the loss I want to say this that celebrating the tradition of Christmas versus embracing the truth of Christmas it is possible to celebrate the TR tradition and not embrace the truth many will go through the these next several weeks and all the way up until December the 25th and they will celebrate the tradition but never even embrace the truth many go through it watch this tradition was meant to transfer a truth but never replace the truth because when tradition replaces the truth you end up with a mess or a lie and so all I'm saying is to make sure and I challenge you to ask yourself am I really embracing the truth of Christmas or am I just celebrating the tradition of Christmas it it it baffles me that that that all PE all types of people will sing the songs and sing the musics and have parties and all this thing I'm not saying anything's wrong with that don't don't get weird on me but all I'm saying is it's possible to celebrate the tradition and never embrace the truth and that is not why Jesus Christ came to this earth understand that when you embrace the truth and not just celebrate the tradition you move Beyond just an annual celebration of an event to a daily relationship with Jesus Christ when you embrace the truth you don't wait till one date or two days the 24th and the 25th to get excited about Jesus when you embrace the truth I want to say that every day is a day that you celebrate every day you declare that this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it I will not give him praise and just one day annually but I will offer up praise to him daily watch this understand the stable and the table in the New Testament times a Manger would be found in a barn or a stable where the cows and horses or animals were fed mangers were constructed from clay blended with straw or from stones with mud and at times these mangers were were shaped out of natural rock but whatever material was used this is interesting for the the construction of the manger the manger was often low to the ground which makes sense for that is where the animals or the cows would would would would bow down and eat from it would be low to the ground you see on the in the stable Jesus was Mary's Little Lamb on the table he was the Passover Lamb the stable represents our heart but the table represents his heart the stable represents Christ coming to us but the table represents what Christ done for us the stable Christ coming to us Isaiah 9:6 says this for unto us a child is born unto us a son is given the child represented his Humanity but the son represented his divinity understand that Matthew 1:3 called him his name shall be Emmanuel for it is God With Us I need I need you to understand that when Jesus Christ came into this world his Focus his mission his assignment his priority his protocol his duty had one thing in mind it was us the reason he came into this world it was for you it was for me it was for every single person under the sound of my voice he came to save us he came to deliver us he came to to heal us he came to provide for us he came to guide us he came to correct us he came to change us he came to transform us you'll get it in a minute but he came for us to fill us to bless us to help us live a life that is Holy and acceptable of unto God he came for us the Bible said this in Isaiah chapter 53 listen to it he was wounded for hours transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed let's go a little further Romans 5:8 says this that God demonstrates his love for us that while we were yet sinners watch this Christ died for us Jesus did not wait till you get it right when he came into this Earth he said I'm concern with you you are my priority you are my focus and you are my mission us who didn't care about him us who who who was rebellious come on us who were messed up Tore Up From the Floor Up us who wanted to watch this who loved our sin more than we loved him as a savior us who didn't want to have nothing to do with God us who didn't want to have nothing to do with church us who was only concerned about our little bitty lives but Jesus Christ said it doesn't matter can you think about it Jesus went to a cross on a maybe he said maybe when I go to the cross and die and shed my blood I don't know how many people will respond but I'm not going to go based upon what I think they're going to do I'm going to go based on what I've been called to do and that is to pay the price for Humanity to be restored come on to God and in relationship with our creator watch this watch this follow me real quick understand that he came to us you see there's two extreme realities that meet in Christ there's the Eternal which represents the word and the temporal which represents the flesh John chap 1 verse 14 says and the word became flesh Eternal and temporal came together why is that important because flesh is all inclusive see he didn't say if John had simply said and he and the word became man it would be different but when he said the word became flesh he is implying that it's all inclusive in other words it includes all people it transcends age it transcends race it transcends gender it transcends status it transcends geography in other words Jesus Christ is the answer for the longing and The Thirst and the hunger of every soul of every human being I still want to boldly declare that Jesus is still the answer I believe that he's an answer to the B the lonely I believe that he's the answer to people that who are looking and longing for a life of fulfillment I'm I'm going ahead and say it you can look high high and low in this world the answer is not in a bar the answer is not in a bottle the answer is not in more money the answer is not in a bigger house the answer is not in more clothes the answer is not in another relationship the answer is not you having great influence you having great status and a whole bunch of flowers you can have all that stuff and be as empty as you want to be what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul when you want true fulfillment when you want true meaning and purpose in life Jesus Christ is the answer he is the way he is the truth and he is the life I need about 10 people that have come to know Jesus brought fulfillment to my life he is the answer he's the answer to the broken marriage he's the answer to the Lost teenager he's the answer for our nation he's the answer for your family he is the answer Jesus Christ the son of ((applause)) God the stable represents Christ coming to us the stable also represents Christ relating to us Micah 52 says but to you Bethlehem eph though you are little among the thousands of Judah you out get out of you shall come forth me come forth to to me the one to be ruler in Israel whose goings forth are from old and from Everlasting notice this the prophet Micah gives us the God's choice of place that that Christ would be born but also the conditions that he would be born in understand the stable my Lord in Bethlehem the stable was outside of the in the scripture said in Luke we read it Luke Chapter 2 because there was no room in the end so the stable was outside of the Inn the Bible said that Jesus was crucified outside of the Gates of Jerusalem what am I trying to get you to see he was born into a place that was considered an outside place let me put it like this Jesus Christ came for Outsiders Jesus Christ came for the alienated Jesus Christ came for the ostracized Jesus Christ came for the low and the Down and Out matter of fact if you check me Luke the gospel writer of this particular text more than any other gospel writer the scripture say writes more about Outcast than any other gospel writer most of his writings concerns Jesus association with the tax collectors and Sinners and publicans Luke writes about a Jesus who had his eye his Persons of Interest were Outsiders let me go ahead and give you this it's the people that we often all right by definition they've been expelled and alienated and rejected by description they're self-deprecating hopeless guilty shameful frightened with failure lacking confidence and unable to change these are the types of people that Jesus Christ came for watch this and no wonder it makes sense now that the feeding trough the manger watch this it was positioned low to the ground because your God loves people people so much he's willing to go to low to the ground and he doesn't care how low that you have fallen how far far away that you've strayed there is nobody that is beyond his strong hand and outstretched arm that's why we have to be careful about how quick we write off people you know we use terminologies like them people those kind of people you know them over there they're not like us it amazes me how quick we forget the pit from which we've been dug because you have to understand if they are them people the key word is people and Jesus came for all people I don't care what kind of people if they are people I don't care what they're in I don't care what they're going through I don't care what they're caught up in matter of fact he came for all types of people let me just bring it on home do you understand that we were all Outsiders you want scripture I'm glad you asked I'm gonna give it to you anyway because symbolically when you think about the N the people that were in the Inn the N the children of Israel God's covenant people are the in watch this but the Gentiles are the Stables because we were on the outside matter of fact all of us as Gentiles was on the outside looking in I know you want scripture because I'm not going to give you a state a scripture without substantiated here it is it says in Ephesians 2 at the time you were without Christ excluded from the citizenship of Israel and foreigners to the covenants of Promise without hope and without God in the world but now in Christ Christ Jesus you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Jesus Christ we were all Outsiders as those who had no relationship with Jesus Christ and God forbid when we move from the outside into the inside that we begin to look down on other folks that on the outside we are never to look down on people if we do look down it's only to lift them up I can't get no amens right there the stable is Christ not only coming to us relating to us but it also means he's living in us what do you mean by that because the stable is also a type of heart the stable was not a clean and sterile place it was nasty it was dirty it was dark it was stanking can I say it like that you had animals in there they were animals that were emitting sounds and dropping stuff it was nasty it was filthy but this is where God chose watch this for his son to be born knowing the conditions here it is what the stable and our heart have in common is both places God have chosen for his son to enter our hearts the Bible said in Ephesians 3 that he has chose to dwell in the Bible said he chose to dwell in our hearts despite the conditions that they were in like the stable the human heart is a place that is dirty a place that is filthy and a place that is corrupt and some are saying oh Javan not my heart yes bless your heart yes yes you because the Bible said Jeremiah said that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked Matthew said out of the heart proceed evil things uh but isn't it amazing that God knows the condition of all of our hearts but yet chooses to come live in our hearts through Jesus Christ you know why because he's just not Jesus Christ he's also Jesus the greatest cardiologist that ever Liv because in Psalms 147 he said if your heart is broken I can heal it in Psalms 51 he said if your heart is nasty I can clean it and the Bible said in Ezekiel chapter 38 if your heart is hard no matter what that's okay I will take it and give you a new heart I want to tell somebody whatever the condition of your heart is it could be nasty it could be broken it could be rebellious it could be resentful it could be unforgiving regardless the condition of your heart bring it to Jesus and let him do a clean work a new work and a fresh work come on give Jesus a shout of praise and I'll move on he can deal Jesus was in Mary's womb for nine months he was in Joseph's borrow tomb for three days but he chose to live in our hearts forever notice this real quickly nobody cleaned the stable before Jesus arrival you ever thought about that nobody cleaned that stable up before his arrival and what it represents it's useless for you and I to attempt to clean up our own heart and prepare it for Jesus it's useless for you and I to try to fix ourselves so many are trying in their own strength and ability struggling and striving and pressing trying to fix yourself Jesus never said fix you but he did say follow me and I want to tell you if you follow him he will fix you if you'll do the following he'll do the fixing he said follow me and I'll make you into fisherman of men I will make you I will mold you I will shape you and there's people under the sound of my voice that you have got to quit trying to fix you quit trying to fix you and follow him him set your eyes on Jesus dedicate your life to him and if you follow him I promise he will fix ((applause)) you now watch this the transition from the stable to the table it's the communion table two messages of this great meal two compon components the bread which represents his body and the wine which represents his blood in John chapter 6 Jesus shocked the religious system by making a crazy statement he said unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no part in me and they looked at Jesus and said say what because the religious people of that time took him literally and they they they viewed his statement of one being cannibalistic because they understood that it was forbidden by the law for them to drink any type of any type of blood let alone human blood but what they took literally Jesus was actually speaking figuratively and and spiritually because what he was saying unless you embrace all all of who I am you can have no part of me in other words to truly Embrace Jesus Christ I cannot pick and choose bits and pieces that I want of him come on somebody I have to embrace all 66 books of who Jesus is it's not a menu that I pick and choose it's a manual that I live by and too many people struggle with following Jesus because they don't want the whole thing they want the thing that makes them comfortable they want the thing that allows them to remain in the same old position but I come to tell you that Jesus Christ gave his all to you and he expects us to give our all to him we can't be part-time Christians demanding a full-time God but the Bible said to love the Lord thy God with all of thy heart the all of thy soul and all of thy strength love him with your all he wants all of ((applause)) you teaches us the vital importance of communion strengthens our soul brings healing to our lives testifies to our faith watch this the message of the body which is the bread of life the baby body in the stable became the bread on the table Hebrews 10:5 said this Jesus said when he came into the world he said you did not desire a sacrifice and offering watch this but you prepared a body for me he would fulfill the foreshadowing the symbolism of all the animals sacrifices previously that were given under the old Covenant and what he was saying you don't desire that anymore what you desire is what that was pointing to and that is it being fulfilled in me offering my body as a one-time sacrifice listen to this Luke chapter 22 he said this is my body which was given for you in other words Jesus he had Jesus had a body that was given to him watch this but it was for you and I the body was given to him but it was for us because watch this his body brought life but his body also took the death he says in First Peter that he carried our sins in his body and on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right his by his wounds we are healed here's how I wrote it he died our death so that we could live his life he gave his body for everybody I'm going to say that again he died our death so that we can live his life there was a there's the British tradition of hanging convicted criminals when the bail told at 8:00 in the morning one day a convicted felon was escorted to the platform a hood was placed over his head and the Executioner waited for the Bell to ring at 8:00 the Bell rope was pulled but there was no sound it was pulled again and then again soon droplets of blood dripped from the bail unto the man who pulled the Rope he looked up to see what was happening and saw that a man wrapped his body around the 50b gong of the bail and had kept the Bell from ringing listen the convicted man 's younger brother had climbed the bail Tower to keep the bail from tolling when the Executioner and the crowd were silenced by the sight that they saw and then they decided that one death was enough for the day and allowed the convicted man to go free I want to tell you that on the cross Jesus Christ climbed the bell tower for us and wrapped his body around that cross and took in himself the punishment that was due to you and I it's called substitutionary atonement which means we should have been on the cross we should have paid the price we should have been the one that died a horrible death but Jesus Christ the son of God in his body climbed the Bell Tower and said I'll take the brunt of the sacrifice and pain in my body for everybody so that you can be somebody and everything that God has called you to be aren't you glad that he climbed the bell tower for you and I oh God as I conclude there was the body and then there's the blood understand the the message of the wine on the table represents the blood of Jesus Hebrews 9:22 says this without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins notice without the shedding of the blood when he shed his blood watch this he shared his life because Leviticus 17-11 says that life is in the blood so he didn't just bleed out he was sharing his life because life was in the blood in other words it was not just his blood pouring out it was his life being poured out and it had to be his life because it was a life that would never ceased to exist so in his body why when he shed his blood and when he died he paid the price for sin because without the shedding of the blood there would be no remission or forgiveness or doing away with the sin so he paid the price and when he shed his blood he shared his life so that you and I could receive eternal life oh my you don't know if so when the blood is applied to your life his life comes into your life it's not just a subance when you receive the blood you receive his life that word remission it means to get rid of it means to remit it means to remove it means to abolish it means to tear away never to exist anymore that's why he said in Isaiah chapter 1 come let us reason now though your sins may be as Scarlet they shall be white as snow though your though they are as Crimson it shall be like wool that always bothered me until I studied and realized what Crimson was Crimson was a diee that was used to dye clothing but it was a Dye that was so strong that whatever it got on it remained permanently in other words you couldn't wash it out you couldn't scrub it out you couldn't blow it out no matter how hard you tried once it stained it it was stain permanently because that's what the enemy wants to tell people that once you've sinned and messed up that you have to stay stained and soiled permanently he wants to convince people that you have to stay in that that state and you can never be different you can never change you're sold for life you're damaged goods you can never get beyond that but I want to declare that the blood of Jesus is the Divine detergent that the Bible said can remove the very stain of Sin from any soul I don't care how bad it ((applause)) is oh Jesus listen to this Jesus was born with a pre-existing condition Revelation 138 says he was the lamb slain before the foundations of the world we were born with a pre-existing condition Psalms 51 says that we were guilty when we were born and we were sinful when our mothers conceived us but watch this when Jesus died because of his preexisting condition we were healed of ours because John 1:29 says Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world he takes away the sin when he died of his we were healed of ours and then there was Redemption somebody say redemption the Bible said that we were not redeemed with Incorruptible things but with the Precious Blood of the Lamb of God I love what what I love what Revelation says for you were slain and have redeemed us to God by your blood we often watch this we often minimize Redemption just to a term said it means to buy back but that's not embracing what it fully is Jesus was the ransom he was the price that purchased us back but you got to understand back from what when they talked about Redemption the people were in major bondage in captivity they were slaves in Chains and feeds and shackles and burdens of a Taskmaster and so it's what what he's saying is when Jesus Christ shed his blood to redeem you it wasn't just buy you back it was also to bring you completely out which means I just don't want to buy you back I want you to completely come out it speaks of total Liberation and freedom and too many Saints are settling in sin settling you're saved but still settling for bondages still settling for dysfunctions that you don't have to I guess this just the way I am I guess this just runs in the family you know my Daddy drank my mom drank this person this the devil is a liar whom the son of man sets free is free indeed I come to tell somebody he can set you fully free he can decisively deliver he fully forgives you don't have to live in bondage you're looking at someone I'm not just telling you some from some notes on a pad I'm telling you from a life experience that God can break the chains of drugs of alcohol addiction of Torment he can break possession oppression de oppression he is a God that wants to bring you all the way out don't you settle in sin when he can bring you to total freedom ((applause)) huah he can break the habit of immorality break the habit of things that are constantly robbing us of Joy last but not least let me just just tell you this watch this do you understand that when Jesus came into this world he was born in a bar manger he taught from a borrow boat he rode on a borrowed donkey and he borrowed a bed to sleep in and he was borrowed he he was buried in a borrow tomb you ready the only the there is there's only one thing that he bought it was you you were bought with a price go come on somebody the only thing that he bought was you he borrowed everything in life that was temporary but the things that are permanent he bought with his own ((music playing)) blood last but not least say from the stable to the table on the table there was the bread there was the wine which represent the blood the remission the Redemption and last but not least are you ready the ((music playing)) reconciliation let me read this and I'll teach it and wrap it up the Bible said in Colossians 1 that by him and by him to reconcile all things to himself that by him whether the things on earth or things in heaven have it made peace through the blood of his cross reconcile means to restore to a proper place bring back to a place of original existence as if there was never a separation sin created a ASM between God and Humanity sin created a gap that brought a Great Divide from Creator between Creator and creation and the only thing that was acceptable to bridge the gap watch this or to reconcile us was the blood of Jesus watch this but how could a holy God come back into a real relationship with a sinful man how many of you eat Mayo manise Miracle rep don't count that's salad dressing I need somebody that represents Dukes up in the house see those are the real saints of God Dukes is going to be at the marriage supp brother lamb I'm telling you lamb and Dukes that's where it's going to go but the funny thing about Mayo is this mayonnaise is made with oil and water but also in order for it to be complete it has to use eggs watch this because naturally you can't mix oil and water I don't care how much you shake it at some point it's going to divide again and separate again because they are two ingredients that have opposing Natures but the one thing about eggs eggs are considered here's the term as an emulsifier and an emulsifier is something that has the ability to penetrate two opposing parties or two opposing ingredients but yet bring them together as one and so in order to get Dukes you have to put the oil and the water but you can't leave out the eggs because when you put in the eggs it start penetrating the o oil and it starts penetrating the water and then it starts bringing it all together and all I'm trying to get you to see is that's what the blood of Jesus is it is the emulsifier that is able to penetrate a holy God but yet go into a sinful man and then bring them back together to what oh my God to an original state of relationship like it was in the beginning with no divide and no separation Jesus Christ The Shed blood of the Lamb on the table is the one that restores us and reconciles us it was God in Christ reconciling man unto himself are you thankful today for reconciliation through the blood of Jesus stand to your feet ((music playing)) Hallelujah every head bow and every eye closed please no one leaving no one moving this is the most important part of this service please no one reverence this time because the blood is working right now it's ready to remit it's ready to redeem it's ready to reconcile the body the price has already been ((music playing)) paid I wrote it like this in my notes the stable brought God to man but the table brought man to God the stable provided a place for his birth but the table made way for your new birth it makes no difference where Christ was born if he's not born in your heart the birth of Christ means literal nothing to us if he's not been born in our heart with every head bow and every eye close you're in this room today you walked in this building today maybe you feel like an outsider maybe you felt like you're just too low down maybe you feel like you're so far away that that God can't reach you maybe you have come to the conclusion that my heart is too messed up for Jesus to come in and the enemy has tried to convince you that you're too messed up for Jesus but to be honest you're in the perfect posture for a miracle he likes messes he was born in one he likes dirty places he came into one but when he comes into those places he don't lead them the same way that they were when he found them and today no matter the condition of your heart the cardiologist is here but he only comes where he's invited if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior if you just know you've been celebrating the tradition but you have yet to really embrace the truth today is your day to be reconciled to be redeemed back in a right relationship with your cre maybe you've Fallen away maybe you've backslid and you need to come back to God and recommit your life to him at every campus every head bow and every eye close at every campus those of you that may be watching online I'm going to count to three and when I count to three if you would say this is my day I'm ready to be reconciled I'm ready to be redeemed I'm ready for my sins to be washed away I'm done doing Traditions I'm ready to embrace truth Jesus I'm ready for you to come into my heart and make me brand new normally I would call you down but right where you're standing you must acknowledge Him He said If you deny me before me and I'll deny you before my father so I'm going to ask you when I get to three and this is for you I just want you to WR where you're standing quickly raise your hand up one if this word is speaking to you and has spoken two if you feel the Holy Spirit drawing you you're not responding to a preacher you're not responding to a person on a stage no man comes into the father unless he's drawn by his Spirit three if that's you raise your hand up quickly raise it up high raise it up high yep I see those hands keep them up for a moment there's hands
