Somebody say, "Is that in the Bible?" Yeah, that's what I'm trying to show you. We we >> [laughter] >> There's there's stuff in the Bible. Verses 12 through 14. You ready? Let let's let's start at verse 11 in King James. I want you to get the context. Context is king. Now, I'm you know, when I first heard this, the only thing we wanted in my head was, "Well, does that mean I keep sinning? Does that mean I keep sinning? Is this a license to sin?" No, it's not a license to sin. It's a license to be righteous. Not a license to sin. Grace doesn't give you a license to sin. Grace is your way out of sin. All right, now watch this. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation. Remember Jesus said he's coming back to to give salvation to all those who await. Grace is a person. Grace is not a curriculum. Grace is not a subject matter. Grace is a person. John chapter 1, I believe 14, Jesus full of grace and truth. So grace is a person. So we're not talking about some some some some curriculum here. It's it's a Jesus is grace. Grace Jesus is full of grace and truth. So when we talk about grace, we're talking about Jesus, the king of grace. He is grace. For the grace of God that bringeth what? Salvation. I just showed you the scripture where he says he's coming back to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, he has appeared to all men. In other words, what he desires to do, he has done for the entire human race. Already. For every living person, every living person on the planet has access to this grace. Has access to be pardoned. Has access to walk in the freedom of sin. He says, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation unto salvation has appeared to all men teaching us." So Jesus wants to teach us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, he said he'll teach us. You've been trying to teach yourself. He says, "I'm going to teach you how to do this." Part of the new covenant was he said that no man YOU'LL HAVE NO NEED FOR ANY man to teach you, but the Holy Spirit will teach you. AND SO WHEN YOU FINALLY HEAR THE TRUTH of it, you're going to realize, "Oh, I had that in ME THE WHOLE TIME." THERE'S A LOT you had in you the WHOLE TIME. IT EVEN WHILE I'M SPEAKING THIS GRACE RIGHT NOW, YOU KIND OF HAD THAT IN YOU A WHOLE TIME AND NOW I'M NOW THAT I'M PUTTING WORDS TO IT, uh I know that's right. I know when I heard the truth, I said, "Now that that's who I thought he was. I knew that he was that." Yeah, Hebrews. I believe it's the book of Hebrews 6 or 8. It says you have no need that man will teach you. He says but the Holy Ghost will teach you. He says to teach you what? To teach you to know him. Glory be to God. See, you exit you you you you X out the Holy Spirit. You you you you think you're just going to do this just with human effort. There is a comforter on the scene. The Holy Ghost, the day you get born again, the Holy Ghost comes in and he is the guide and the leader and the teacher. Oh, glory to God. And he teaches you things from the inside. And you don't KNOW WHERE THEY COME FROM, BUT YOU SAY LIKE for some reason I feel like I ought not do this. For some reason I WAS GOING TO SAY this and do that, but for some that reason is that God on the inside of you who's teaching you on the inside. The Bible says in Philippians 2, he says that he will the Holy Ghost is working in you to give you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. SO YOU STOP TRYING TO COME UP WITH strategy of how TO PLEASE GOD. STOP TRYING TO COME UP WITH STRATEGY OF HOW YOU going to fix yourself and and believe what he said. HE SAYS THE HOLY GHOST IS GOING TO CHANGE YOUR desire and give you the power to do what pleases him. You need TO TRUST THE HOLY GHOST THAT WAS PUT on the inside of you the DAY YOU GOT BORN AGAIN. Uh let me calm down. Next verse. Looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our savior Jesus Christ. Stop. Now I thought this scripture was uh speaking in terms of of a a futuristic type of deal. I thought it was talking about, you know, we're looking for the re- return of the Lord. And yeah, I'm looking for the return of the Lord, but this is not what this is not what it's talking about here. He says looking for the blessed hope or earnest or the expectation. Looking for the expectation and the glorious appearing of the great God and our savior Jesus Christ. What they're looking for is for him to show back up again in the resurrection from the dead when he was crucified, dead, and buried. How do you say that? The next verse tells us that. "Who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works." Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Now, let's go to the mirror translation and let's milk this just a little bit more. Milk it just a little bit more. All right, verse 11. "The grace of God shines as bright as day making the salvation of mankind undeniably visible." "The day and age we live in sets the stage for displaying the attraction of an all-inspired life. Our minds are rescued." Wow. Do you realize your mind has to be rescued from all the junk that got in there? My mind has to be rescued from sin consciousness. My mind's got to be rescued from religious and all of the the myths that were taught about religion. My mind has to be rescued and he says, "This is this rescued our minds." Our minds rescued in the revelation of righteousness. So when you get the revelation of righteousness and that you are the righteousness of God by what Jesus did. When you receive the revelation of righteousness, it will rescue your mind from sin consciousness. It rescues your mind that's trapped in that sin consciousness. He says, "We are in the school of grace instructed how to thoroughly reverse the apathy and indifference that erupts in a wave of lust that would seek to dictate the day." ALL OF THE JUNK THAT YOU HAVE AN ENCOUNTER with a sin CONSCIOUSNESS THAT TRIES TO DICTATE YOUR WHOLE DAY. OH, I don't believe I'm righteous. Oh, I don't feel like I'm redeemed. Oh, you're the messed up well, I ain't nothing but a sinner. Oh, Jesus this and that. I done tried and I tried and ain't Lord ain't look like you did nothing. Why the Lord ain't blessed ME YET? WHY THE WHY THE MONEY AIN'T come our way yet? How come everybody else got their bag and their money and I'm still as broke as the 10 Commandments that Moses dropped at the bottom of Mount Sinai? Next verse. "Everyone must welcome with open arms the outrageously blessed expectation." That's the hope. Jesus is what the world was waiting for. He's that hope. He radiates the BRILLIANT INTENT OF GOD and engineered by his greatness to rescue the world in him. I am rescued in him. It is in him we move. In him we breathe. In him we have our being. It's everything he did. I AM RIGHTEOUS BECAUSE HE IS RIGHTEOUS. HE REDEEMED ME. He saved me. He He He took CARE OF MY SINS. HE WENT TO THE HELL I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO. He rescued me in him. So, in him I'm righteous. In him I'm redeemed. In him I'm holy. In him I'm sanctified. In him I'M PERFECT. IN HIM I'M PROSPEROUS. I AM in him everything that I could not be in me. He gave himself as a sacrifice in exchange for our freedom. Do you see that? He never sinned. He gave himself as a sacrifice and in exchange gave us the freedom of this grace. We are redeemed from every obligation and accusation under the law. The law was all about being obligated to keep this this this this. And declared absolutely innocent. You who have made Jesus your Lord have been declared absolutely innocent. When you get this, you're not only going to give the little sorry clap, but you're going to actually jump up and shout and say thank you Jesus. Because you have been declared absolutely innocent. Not not kind of innocent, you are absolutely innocent. You are absolutely innocent. You are absolutely innocent. Don't you be looking back and tell me oh I feel bad for what I did or oh and and and I'm not Y'all know what I'm saying. You keep going back and revisiting that thing over and over again and it brings the regret. It brings the depression. It brings even the attack on your identity and you feel like you're more of a sinner than you are a saint and Jesus is saying, "Yeah, I have come to free you from all of that and I have declared you absolutely innocent from all of that. Now, take up what I said and be free in me." Well, Brother Dollar. He defines who we are. Our brand name is I am. Boy, I'm going to test some of you here in a little while. Y'all sitting there like you want to. That's my brand name. I got a new name. You got a new name. You are a part of the I am family. Hey, glory to God. I don't know what your last name is right now, but you are part OF THE I AM FAMILY. That's your brand name. YOU'VE BEEN BRANDED BY I am with I am. >> ((cheering)) >> And I love this next line. We are exclusively his. >> [laughter] >> I belong to God. I don't belong to sin anymore. I don't belong to the devil anymore. I belong to God. Jesus is my Lord. Hallelujah. Jesus is my Lord. I belong to him, praise God. This earth is not my home. I'm a citizen of heaven, praise God. I BELONG TO GOD. >> ((applause)) >> WHEN I GET TO THE GATES OF HEAVEN, I AIN'T GOING TO HAVE TO QUALIFY. WELL, all the sin No, no, no, no. What Who are you? I belong to God. I I What's your name? I am. >> ((cheering)) >> You don't need me to know you. I am You speak for yourself. I I am. I received that. I receive I I am exclusively exclusively his. I am I am, glory to God. We are a passionate people. We excel in doing everything we do beautifully. SO SO, SOMETHING'S CHANGED NOW IN YOUR LIFE. SOMETHING'S CHANGED IN YOUR LIFE. NOW, YOU RECOGNIZE YOUR IDENTITY. NOW, YOU RECOGNIZE whose you are. THEN WHATEVER GOD'S TELLING YOU TO DO, YOU'RE GOING TO EXCEL IN IT. YOU'RE GOING TO EXCEL IN IT. YOU'RE GOING TO EXCEL IN IT AND PEOPLE GOING TO WATCH AND WONDER HOW YOU DO THAT. IT'S THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. IT'S THE wisdom that's working in you. It's the power OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. HOW DOES HE GET THAT THOUGHT? IT'S THE HOLY GHOST ON THE INSIDE THAT JUST DROPPED THAT THOUGHT. HOW DID HE GET THAT STRATEGY? IT'S THE HOLY GHOST ON THE INSIDE THAT DROPPED THAT STRATEGY. HOW DID HE COME UP WITH THAT CURE? IT'S THE HOLY GHOST. SEE, I GOT INSIDE INFORMATION. I GOT THE I HAVE AN ADVANTAGE. >> [applause and cheering] >> Y'ALL Y'ALL DON'T Y'ALL don't Creflo, I am. I am everything that he's given me the right to be. I am healed. I am delivered. I am righteous. I am holy. I am holy. See, many Remember he said in him you're all these things. And you won't even claim that. In him you're all these things. Well, if in him I'm holy, then I'm holy. If in him I have wisdom, I have wisdom. In him you you got to start taking all of the stuff that he has given to you and you can't do that if you're walking around more aware of sin than you are your righteousness. Too aware of sin. And some of these guys think it's a righteous thing to preach sin all the time. Let me tell you, I can guarantee you one thing. You ain't even never have to go to church in your life and you will know about sin. Ain't nobody got to tell you. You know that's sin. Come to church so I can teach you about sin. You don't need to waste time teaching people about sin. They know it's sin. Even if they try to make an excuse for it, they know it's sin. They know it's sin cuz he on the inside he'll he he he start teaching you, "That ain't right. You know that, don't you?" Yeah, Lord, I knew it. I I heard you the whole time you were telling me not to do it and then I did it anyway and then I heard the whole time and I and I I believe I finally got this. I'm like, "Well, what is this?" We think about this like uh Lord, give me a way to say this. I see it, but help me to articulate it. We think this is some kind of like game with points that can be gained. Okay? You know, if you don't sin, that's 10 points. If you do sin, that deducts 12. Now, you're in the negative. >> [laughter] >> So, why doesn't God want us Why did Why did he come to deliver us from sin? Cuz he loves us. He wants us to live a life without the pain and the consequences that come from sin. That's That's what he's trying to do. He's He's already fixed and determined your destination. This is not on the agenda anymore. This ain't on the agenda anymore. Once you get born again, you're you're good. You in the sin stuff ain't on the agenda anymore. So, why is he constantly saying, "I want you to get in righteousness so you don't sin"? Because sin it hurts. It can cause disease. It causes emotional pain. It causes relational pain. It causes all of the stresses of life. And so, he's trying to say stay away from it. And he said it in the Old Testament. Remember the Old Testament, the things that were written for four time were written for our learning, not for our living. We learn from it and then hopefully we live better as a result of what we learn from some of the thing. We look at some of these characters and we diagnose them and say, "Oh, we we can learn some stuff from that." But you're treating it like Well, your whole identity is not messed up. Your whole destination is messed up. Are there consequences for for sin? Yeah, I think Is there Is there a consequence for bad behavior? Yeah. I mean, in football, if you over celebrate, that's a that's a flag. God God wants you to experience abundant life. And life won't be abundant if you keep uh denying who you are and then your sin brings all of these consequences. There There's consequences now. There's consequences. Now, you can be callous about it and you can say, "Well, you know, I'm sinning, but" and then you can find a reason to try to make it right. But you you already know. You ain't got to come Pastor ask you. You don't need to ask me nothing. In fact, I don't take I don't I don't I don't counsel nobody telling about sin. Okay, now, you want to know how to walk out I I'll talk to you about that, but don't come here telling me well, "Well, Pastor, you know, I had I had some uh cooking wine. Was Is that wrong?" Shoot, girl. I got time for all that. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you, but you can't live the grace life without a relationship. And that's what we're trying to do. We're trying to live this Christian life without a relationship. We want to live it like it's a game. All right. Come to church on Easter cuz I ain't been all year. That's 20 points. Okay? All right. Slipped up and did something stupid. Oh, they deducted 12. God will talk to you about all that. He'll teach you how to live. He's going to change your desire. There are things you like now and habits you've created now. If you receive what I'm saying now, those desires are going to change. And you're just like, I just don't know why, but I'm just not interested in doing that no more. I don't I don't want to do that anymore. Before it was a thing you couldn't stop doing, and now it's like, I just I don't know. I'm just I ain't got no taste for it no more. The Holy Ghost knows how to snatch that thing out your life. If you let him. But you're trying to live a life with no relationship. Think about how marriage goes with no relationship. Are you You don't even get there, right? And so it became easier to go to church, pay your dues, and the Lord is supposed to do SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU SHOWED UP AND PAID YOUR DUES. NO, he's like, you you you never talk to me. You're not interested in what I have to say. I'm saying stuff to you, but you can't hear it because you're so clogged in your mind, you're so busy in your mind, you can't hear what I'm saying. You're you're stressed out. You're all these things that I don't want you to be. And every time something crazy happened, and I don't let it happen to you cuz I love you even though you deserve it, I still show up and do good stuff. I still show up and do good stuff. Cuz I love you. You did something stupid and I and and and I I I I blessed you with the biggest blessing. So the Bible says that he does something when when he he'll do good. He'll He'll cause a man to repent through his goodness. So God's not not just not going to do something good to you because you haven't been good. It's sometimes when you've been crazy that he'll do something good so he can change your mind about the crazy. Are y'all listening to me? Man, I want y'all to get this. It's about your everyday living. It ain't about when you come to church. You don't have to be a hypocrite if you just live with him every day. You don't have to be no hypocrite. You know, you ain't getting up in front of people well, I'm flawless and I'm perfect. Well, make sure you say in Jesus. >> [laughter] >> And tell and make sure you say the work is continuing. I'm believing that our church will get to a point we don't have to say in Jesus. Everybody know what you're TALKING ABOUT. I CANNOT PREACH THIS EVERYWHERE I GO. DO YOU REALIZE HOW LONELY IT IS TO ACCEPT THE THE THE THE THE THE THE THE THE CALL TO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF GRACE TO PEOPLE THAT WON'T LISTEN BECAUSE THEY'RE SO INDEBTED really and indulged in the law that they can't see. You're blind. You can't see. I was. That's why God could use me because I was a Pharisee. And I was sad, you see.
