Union with the Lord: The Key to Continual Answered Prayer Yesterday, Pastor Benny began a powerful message titled, "What guarantees your prayers are answered?" Today, don't miss the continuation. This anointed teaching will bless and strengthen your faith. >> Whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. Now the relationship with the Lord is the key. The oneness with the Lord is the key. And that oneness with the Lord remains strong through his word in us and us in him. So this verse here, this wonderful promise of Matthew 21:22, all things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer is connected to being in Christ, his word in us because that's when prayer is answered. When you are in fellowship with God and there is worship, you always pray according to scripture, his will. It says, "Thy will be done." So that is key. But it all goes back to fellowship with the Lord, oneness with the Lord. And it all really begins with you opening your Bible, sitting and waiting upon the Lord, reading his precious word quietly and alone. And that beautiful waiting upon the Lord creates that beautiful moment when God will touch your heart. See, remember this. Remember this. The Lord seeks to be sought. The Lord seeks to be sought. So you're seeking him and he and and you're waiting upon him. And at one point he'll touch your heart. Quicken me. David said, "Quicken me, and then I shall call upon thy name." But that quickening happens when you wait upon the Lord. In Psalm 80 verse 18 it says quicken me Lord and then I'll call upon thee. So a lot of people rush into prayer without waiting to be quickened. So when God quickens you, you call upon him but the quickening happens because you're you're reading his precious word waiting upon him and now you call fellowship begins. Worship through worship begins. tears become your language and now you pray according to the scripture because it's the scripture that you're reading that gives birth to that prayer. It's not asking things that God never promised you. You know, that's another wonderful key. And and here's something else I've learned uh about about fellowship with God. It must be daily. Must be daily because give us day by day our daily bread. The Lord said in Luke 11 verse three. This is this is a a very powerful key to see uh Matthew 21:22 happen in your life and my life or all things that you ask for will happen. So if you really want to see continual miracles, it must be daily contact with God. But I believe I believe if you'll follow what I'm giving you, God will heal you while you're with him alone. I've seen that happen with many people. When a man or a woman's spiritual life begins to fall apart, it's the always the the reason always is they they they stop fellowshipping with God daily. Then they do it here and they do it when they can and they miss a lot of time. No, no. It's daily contact that keeps fellowship alive. Otherwise the relationship begins to fall apart. This is very important, very important because see the flesh comes back real quick. The part of the flesh comes back real quick. If we neglect time with God, the price of neglect is extremely high. Extremely high. When when I was young, I did not know that. And it and there are no shortcuts. Daily contact with God is vital for survival. Vital for survival. So because when we pray daily um a substance of prayer is stored up in heaven for us. Remember in Revelation 8 talks about the the prayers of the saints in heaven. So a substance of prayer is stored up in heaven on our behalf where God answers that prayer at the proper time. Think about it. So when you are in fellowship with God every day, every day, every day, every day, and you never you don't ever miss, what happens is a substance of prayer is now begins to get stored up in heaven on your behalf. Mentioned in Revelation 8:3, and God now begins to answer later in life. sometimes for a need you will have later at the proper time. Prayer always outlives those who pray. Prayer outlives those who pray. Daniel in the Bible was a was a an example because he learned the necessity of daily prayer, daily fellowship with the Lord. uh prayer really be became his daily business, his daily living. You know, he did not turn to the Lord only when some emergency arose. And and look what happened with him. Daniel when the emergency came, God was right there for him. Remember in the lines then and on and on because he was a man of prayer. I love what it says in Psalm 55. Why don't you turn with me to Psalm 55? Look at verse 17. Look, look at verse 17. Evening and morning and at noon will I pray and cry aloud and he shall hear my voice. Here is David saying, I pray not only daily, I pray three times a day. Evening, morning, and noon I pray. How many Christians do you know that do that? And we're not talking about, you know, being on your knees all day long. You do it during the day. You have that beautiful fellowship with with the Lord quietly. Quietly. You have no idea. When I began reading the scriptures about 14 years ago, I began reading the Bible one times through every four months. Now I read my Bible every year, three times a year. The impact it's had on me is unbelievable. And it created everything I'm talking about has been happening in me because you can't give away you what God has not given you. And the fellowship with God never stops. If you should ask people who are with me, I'm walking around always singing songs to the Lord. I have a song in my heart day and night. It just never never leaves. It's like all day long. And the thing that is so and and all night long, I cannot stop fellowship. It it's just like like this world to me is non-existent. Totally. I I I don't I I don't even consider it. I don't even look at it. I I uphold the things in it. I reject the things in it because it's a it's a beauty. It's a life I found. It's a it's a peace I've never known that that that even existed is so real. And Jesus said, "My peace I give unto you." I didn't realize years and years ago that that peace truly is there every second of the day. So one more thing, one more thing. um the blood of Jesus. When that fellowship is real in your life, when the worship is real in your life, when everything I've said is the blood, you honor the cross, the work of Calvary, you you uh you become so moved by the work of the cross, it's like uh it's hard for me to describe what I'm trying to tell you. You know, denying self, uh, following the Lord, carrying your cross becomes a part of your life and the blood of Jesus is is like I I, you know, it says we come through the blood in Hebrews, through a new and living way, through the blood. In Colossians, we have peace with God through the blood. It's just incredible. Incredible. You thank him for his blood. You you you ask him to cleanse and wash you with his blood. You you become dependent on the blood of Christ in your life. It's not and and it it's not something that you use uh to enter into like it's not like a how shall I say it's not a formula. It's just a part of your life. Sometimes people apply the blood but there's no reality like they say the blood no no no it's a part of your life or sometimes they'll apply the blood because they're afraid that some devil will show up. No no no no it becomes a part of your life because the cross speaks of uh we embrace it. We embrace the cross. Um Paul said to the church in Corinth, "All I want to hear and all I'm going to preach is the cross." And he saw thousands of people saved and fellowship. If we ignore the blood, there is no fellowship with God. So I'm I'm I'm I'm almost done. And and never never for forget that uh we cannot keep fellowship with God unless we we are continually uh coming to the Lord to cleanse our hearts. That's why it's so important to understand that we have to ask God to forgive us for things that we said or done or thought. I ask God that every day. I said, "Lord, if I've said anything, if I thought anything, if I done anything, please forgive me." Because sometimes we don't realize it. We don't realize it. Every morning I ask God to bend my heart towards him because I cannot bend my own heart towards God. Only he can bend my heart towards him. And I ask him to protect my heart from the world. I said, Lord, don't don't let sin touch it. Don't let pollution touch it. Don't let the ways of the world touch it. I want my heart to be yours today. And God answers prayer like that. He really does. And so pray like that. Every morning I did this morning. There's not one morning that I miss asking God that I I I wake up every morning. The first thing out of my mouth, all the glory, all the honor, all the praise, all dominion, all majesty, all power, all authority belongs to you, wonderful heavenly father, precious heavenly father, dearest heavenly father, most cherished, most beloved heavenly father, dearest Jesus, most wonderful Jesus, wonderful, precious Jesus, most cherished Jesus, blessed Holy Spirit, most glorious Holy Spirit, beloved Holy But now forever more yours is the glory. And then I say, Lord, bend my heart towards you. Please bend my heart towards you. Bend my bend my life towards you. Don't let the world in, Lord. Don't let this world in. Protect my heart from the world. Protect my heart from the sins out there. Protect my heart from the pollution that's out there. Protect my heart from the ways of the world. Let my heart be yours, Lord. Purify it and sanctify it for your glory, Lord. Then I say something very beautiful. Oh Lord, on that day, I say a little more, but I I I close by saying, Lord, on that day when I stand before you, please Lord, accept me. I want to be accepted in your sight. And dear Jesus, write your name on my forehead. Forehead because that's in Revelation 22 verse4. That's what I want. And so at the same time when when when when I pray, I always ask him, Lord, if I said anything, thought anything, you know, felt anything that's not of you, please Lord, you know, cleanse it. I'm sorry. We we keep a very short list with God. We we don't wait to confess our sins. We do it right away because we all fight this flesh of ours. The flesh. Our deadly enemy is the flesh. We can resist the devil. It says resist the devil. He'll flee from you. Noah does it say resist the flesh. We have to crucify the flesh to live victoriously. You crucify the flesh. You deny self. You can resist the devil easily by saying it is it is written we resist the devil with the word of God and he'll flee. He'll flee. But you cannot resist the flesh. There's nowhere in the Bible that says resist the flesh and it'll flee because you're stuck with it. So crucify it. Crucify the flesh. Say no to it every single day. Deny it. Deny self. And finally, finally, never forget we always come in Jesus name. Fellowship with God. You know, I'm going back to Matthew 21:22, all things only in Jesus name. You know, I hear people say, you know, pray and they never say in Jesus name. God ignores that prayer. He will ignore any prayer that does not mention Jesus. Jesus said if you pray in my name, in my name. So, we have to pray in his name. very clear in John 14:13, we come in his precious name. And the Lord repeats it in John 14:14 and John 16:24, we come in his name. So stretch your hands towards me. And I'm stretching my hands towards you cuz I'm going to ask God right now to touch you, to heal you, to bless your life. But remember what I said. Remember what I have just talked about. Dearest Jesus, most precious Jesus, most wonderful Lord, I pray for every single one wonderful Jesus that you'll touch them. Make your presence so real right now, Lord. Make your divine presence so real to each one of them. I give you praise. I worship you. Wonderful Jesus. Wonderful save. Blessed lamb of glory. Wonderful Jesus. Make your presence so real Lord. And I rebuke sickness now in your holy name, Jesus. And I rebuke disease in your holy name, Jesus. And I rebuke infirmities in your precious holy name, Jesus. Heal your people, Lord. Heal them as they call upon you, Lord. Let your mighty power, the same power that raised you from the dead, touch them now. Bring health, bring healing, bring strength for your glorious name's sake. I give you the praise. And Lord, above all, I pray that each one of them will finish stronger than when they began in this journey of faith, in this life of glory and joy. That they will finish strong and stronger when they when they started. That on that day we will all be accepted in your sight. For you're able to keep us from falling and to present us before the throne, your throne, blameless with joy. You are God Almighty. We give you glory now. Lord, bless and heal your people. Let your presence cover them, I pray. Keep them as the apple of the eye. Hide them under the shadow of your wings. In your precious name, I give you praise.
